Okay, let's look at a definion of powerplay:

In a roleplay, controlling other people's characters.

1.) This was the point of view of Ankin. He is not perfect, and never will, unless if you're saying that godmodding is allowed in this roleplay, wish would be stupid.
2.) I didn't quite controlled his powers. It have the same intensity and consuming. All I did is placing somekind of dome around them. If you haven't catched that yet, I'm sorry.
3.) While it is true that it changed a little bit; The sound that the spell made was enough to attracts people attention.
4.) If you really want so, go powerplay, since apparently everything you should do is absolute and cannot be change, which could result to even godmodding.
5.) The action wasn't instant, there is a slight chance that someone saw the light before it got dimmed.
