2: There shall be no killing of your family, whether that be in Honorable Combat, or training.

This code was taught to everyone that passed through the gates, and upheld strictly. Any offense was punishable by death. But, slowly, the code deteriorated. Over the years, as more and more students came to the academy, it was quickly forgotten. Finally, one day, a murder occurred. Two high-ranking and befriended teachers were killed, a man and a woman. Now, all this time, boys and girls had been separated almost completely, with them only seeing each other at special events and such. These two teachers were, as stated, a friend to all. Emotions ran deep, and a gender war started. Boys and girls alike killed each other in combat, even though the Code stated not to. But as I said, the code had been all but forgotten. The academy soon split into two, a boys and girls academy. These two academies were at war for years upon years, and many people died during the time. However, new management and a resurrection of the code brought harmony to the two, if not friendship. The two started yearly tournaments with each other, to see who was the better. However, as before, the code was quickly forgotten, and one year, two students killed each other. Again, these two were a boy and a girl. Each side blamed the other for the deaths, and the war started all over again. The two academies were soon destroyed, and all of their students left to fight and fend for themselves. Many of them turned to petty crime, and many died. This, of course, was unnaceptable to the various leaders who had known about the academies. So, the separate schools were started again, this time not even letting the two genders so much as look at each other. Peace, however shaky, was finally achieved. Emotions still run high, however, as stories persist of how the rivals cheated or were given better treatment and training.
Now, being the assassins they are, graduates are recruited into various companies, mostly mercenary companies, and given special jobs. This brings me to the point of the story. The year is 2459. A branch of each school has been built in a city called Saturn City. Our young assassins have graduated from the school, and are being recruited by two companies. One for girls, one for boys. These two companies are at war with each other, seeing as almost their entire company is made of Assassin's School graduates.

Kaedai woke, opening his eyes slowly. Looking around, he could see the room was completely dark. 'Good, sun hasn't risen yet...' Getting up quickly, the young man dressed in his running suit and headed out of the door of his quarters in the Ebon Guard compound. It was a lofty tower, the Ebon Guard base, right in the middle of the city. It made a good home, that's why he hadn't moved out yet. Riding the lift to the main level, Kaedai yawned lightly and nodded. 'Another day...' The doors opened and revealed the massive Ebon Guard tower's entrance hall. It towered three levels, with a part of the room, the southern part, reaching all the way to the top. Grunting, the man exited the lift and walked through the exit, taking in the cold air that greeted him. Kaedai took off down the street, knowing where he'd stop first. A few miles and a lot of breath later, he arrived at the famous coffee shop. Walking up to the waitress, he ordered a water and, upon receiving it, sat at one of the various tables scattered around the area. It was famous because of the view. The cafe sat on one of the various cliffs that overlooked the vast plains below. But this was no ordanary cliff...oh no. It overlooked the direction where the sun rose to meet the new day. It was absolutely beautiful. well, to him. Smiling, Kaedai took a sip of water and sat watching the horizon.
