Name: Ashe, also goes by the name "Phoenix", which was her name as a Shadow Keeper
Age: Several thousands of years old, appears early to mid-twenties.
Race: PyroKinetic/Telekinetic Witch
Affiliation: Good, Council
Job/Career: Formerly a Shadow Keeper, now a part time bartender at a local club for Dark Worlders.
Appearance: Tall, slender build. Auburn hair that falls in layers past her wiast; has black low lights in it. She has dark, almost black eyes that turn a fiery red when angry. Normally wears a tank top with jeans and boots. Really, just anything comfortable. Has a scar that runs from her upper left temple to her right cheekbone. Several other scars from her years as a Shadow Keeper. Has a tribal tattoo of a phoenix on her right shoulder.
Personality: Witty, sometimes too sarcastic for her own good. Fiercely independent yet charming when she wants to be.
Weapons: Two Katanas, one with an ebony hilt and the other with an ivory hilt. Each has a small phoenix emblem on the base of the blades. Has two sets of sais and a set of throwing knives. Pretty good with her fists, too.
Magic/Skills: Besides being one insane pyrokinetic, she also has some telekinetic abilities that strengthened after becoming a Shadow Keeper. She has some skill with the Craft as well.
History: She was born in an ancient tribe near what is now Great Britain. Her tribe was known for their superstitious beliefs. Because her mother was a witch, of sorts, she and her twin brother were raised with the knowledge of the ancients. When she was 24, her tribe was raided by demons and both her and her brother were on the verge of death when a Council Member approached them and promised them eternal life if they vowed to uphold the Balance.
With little options, they agreed. After becoming Shadow Keepers, they became some of the fiercest warriors to fight for the Balance. Because of her fierce pyrokinetic abilities, she was given the new name Phoenix upon becoming a Keeper.
For a few millinia, they maintained the balance. But after a while, Phoenix began to envy humanity for their simple lives. While ignorant, they were not plagued with the torment of fighting endlessly. Years of lonliness and bitterness built up, and she finally decided to quit. To resign as a Shadow Keeper, one must give up the majority of their powers. While unable to become human, they must still continue to live forever without aging. Suicide is out of the question, since Keepers who take their own lives are doomed to the Oblivion, a fate worse than Hell.
And so, she was disconnected from the Twilight. Unable to keep in touch with her brother or her friends, she resigned herself a life amongst mortals. While still keeping an ounce of her abilities, she can still hold her own in a fight. She signed up to work as a bartender in a local club, going under the name Ashe to keep her former past a secret. No one knows of her former life as a Keeper, and she planned to keep it that way.
Until...one day she recieved word of the Keepers who were disappearing. Her brother was among the first to go missing. As if by a miracle, the Council requested her help. Temporarily reinstating her status as a Keeper, she was to find out what happen with the help of those sent by the Council.
Name: Jarot Wrenrook
Age: Several Thousands of years old, appears in late fourties to early fifties
Race: Magus (A wizard, but it's the highest rank a wizard can achieve)
Affiliation: Good/Council
Job/Career: Former Shadow Keeper, Council Member
Appearance:
Personality: Calm and collected, who is acknowledged for his patience and wisdom. He is very intelligent and thoughtful, and very experienced in the ways of the world. Also, he prides himself on living by an honor code, vowing to forever uphold the Balance of the Twilight and maintain peace in all worlds. Though he can seem stern at times, he has a very kind heart.
Weapons: A Rune Staff- nearly his height with ancient runes carved into the side which glow when he conjours magic.
Excalibur- A Long sword, A blade which appears like it came out of one of the Arthurian Legends...well...it did actually.
Magic/Skills: As a Magus, he is the most powerful Wizard of his people and thus renown for his legendary skills in arcane magic. He is adept with
spells ranging from Tracking Spells to Devil's Traps to Teleportation Spells. Also very adept at wielding both his staff and sword in
hand-to-hand combat.
History: Not much is known of Jarot Wrenrook's past. Wizards, you see, are human in sense of appearance (Also, they can only be men, but they mate with Mortal women to produce Witches or Wizards), but they do not age nearly as fast as any other beings...but they are humans whose souls are born from the Twilight, thus allowing them to do magic. He was raised in a Dark World City, where Wizards are divided into different groups known as Sedai, or 'Clan' in the tongues of the Wizard. Such clans include:
Blue Sedai: Wizards who focus on knowledge and wisdom, devoting themselves to understanding philosophy and truth. They are the more
intellectual of the Sedai. The Leader of the Blue Sedai is known as the 'Grand Master'.
Red Sedai: Wizards renown for their powerful skills in arcane warfare. They are considered to be the 'Army' of the Sedai and are the most
powerful. The Leader of the Red Sedai is known as the 'Lord General'.
Green Sedai: Wizards most connected to the Twilight and life force which flows through every living being. They are renown as healers
and travelers, who enjoy nature more than any other Sedai. The Leader of the Green Sedai is known as the 'Elder Weaver'.
White Sedai: Wizards who seek truth and justice and are renown for their Mediating Skills. They are the ones most attributed with the
laws governing the Balance, seeking harmony and consensus. The leader of the Grey Sedai is known as the 'Prime Justice'.
There are various other smaller Sedai sects which branch out from these, which are known as the Supreme Four. Wrenrook was trained in the ways of the Blue Sedai, and as such he learned much. As the years passed, he rose to the rank of Grand Master, and when the Council was formed, he was the most competent nominee for the position reserved for the Sedai.
It was he who decided Seraph and Ashe would become Shadow Keepers, but why he chose them remains to be seen.

Here's the basic laws of Magic as well as basic knowledge of Shadow Keepers.
Magic is born from a force called the "Twilight". It's the source of ALL Magical Energies, whether good or evil. As dorky as it sounds, think of the Force from Star Wars lol. While not an entity, it has influence over all who use it. It can be either a gift or a curse, bring genius or insanity.
Basically, the Twilight is the very source of creation, magical or not. Billions of years ago, it built up so much energy that it erupted like a volcano. That is our very own Big Bang! Because of it, Earth and other realms were created. Life evolved, each being linked through the Twilight.
Basically spells are the same as in other fantasy settings. There's Elemental like Fire and Water. There's the Craft, which is mostly potions, charms, spells, etc.
The Twilight is also the source of psychic abilities, like telepathy or telekinetics.

So....everyone...or at least most people have heard of the "Big Bang Theory". Well, Science has its rational explanation. But here's the history no mortal knows.
Most Dark Worlders, supernatural beings, know of the Twilight. The Twilight is like an energy force. Like Solar Energy or the "Force" from Star Wars. Its very essance is the source of all Magical Energies. Every being that relies on magic draws from this, from the lightest dabbler to the full-fledged practitioner.
Well the Twilight was basically the very force that created the Big Bang. It had built up so much energy over the past countless millinia, and so, life was born when it erupted like a sleeping volcanoe. While not an entity, it still has influence on sentinent beings. It can inspire them or drive them to insanity.
And millions of years later, life evolved. Primarily on Earth.
At first, humans and Dark Worlders, lived together. Not necessarilly peacefully. And so, the Council, beings considered fully in tune with the Twilight, decided it would be best to separate the two worlds. Not entirely, but enough to keep the truth hidden from mortals. Dark Worlders were allowed to remain in this world and live among humans, but their true identities were never to be known. They could associate but unions were strictly forbidden until just recently.
These separation of the two worlds was kept by a law known as the Balance. The Twilight's Balance was the be upheld by the Council, powerful beings with seemingly infinite knowledge and wisdom. They act as a Judiciary system for Dark Worlders. The Council reigns over two separate "organizations"...The Watch and the Shadow Keepers. The Watch acts as the Police Force, yet they are nowhere near as elite as Shadow Keepers, the ultimate law keepers in the supernatural world.

Insights on Technology:
The technology can be hi-tech, but not quite into the science fiction sort. No airships or laser guns. Mostly it's realistic technology, but it can be merged with a supernatural twist. For example, bullets infused with holy water or silver. But I'll give people room to be creative

The Council:
The Council can be found in the Conclave, a sort of realm between worlds. It can only be found by Council Members and Shadow Keepers. It's a sort of haven for Keepers to rest and relax, but most choose to live in the Mortal Realm. Other creatures may be brought there, but not without the help of the Council or Keepers.
Basically it's like a huge fortress, mixed with various styles of various cultures. It's structure is similar to a gothic church, yet the interior is a maze of halls and rooms that serve various purposes. One hall is the Hall of Mirrors, and one is the Hall of Crystal where the walls, the floors, and the ceiling is made of complete crystal, etc. I'll let Keepers and Council Members invent their own 'Personal rooms' for their own enjoyment.
The inside of the Conclave has rooms for training and leisure, and the Archives, which is virtually a vast library containing every text both mortal and dark worlder.
While there are outposts for Keepers to reach, which are hidden within the mortal world in seemingly innocent scenes like a local antique shop or a garage or a house, Keepers also keep little medallions on them at all times. Most of them are personalized, like with an animal or symbol of some sort. Each contains a crystal in its core, of a color of their choosing. Only Keepers and Council Members can use them.
