OOC: Guys, I'll post soon, but I've been really busy lately with blood donations, work, and everything else in my life. I'll probably post later tonight or early tomorrow.

Lucian managed to get the Falcon to level out as he dropped below 1000 feet. Strangely, Lucian rolled away from Aiden's Tomcat and the mig. Then as Lucian reached for his jet's ejection lever, the Engine roared to live, Sending him after The mig a 150 feet. "Wraith, reengaging!" He called. He climbed acelerating and launched his remaining missiles at the mig while giving Aiden enough room to get clear, a AIM-7 at max range and a AIM-9 at max range. The Aim-9 went wide as it streaked by Aiden and smashed into the ground 200 feet away, But the sparrow detonated directly 5 feet in front of the Mig.

The explosion ahead of the MiG, being a shaped charge like almost all air-to-air missiles, did little more to the craft except scratch the paint across the nose and startle Rodger. Rodger pulled up for a few moments, the bottom of his plane skimming the black and fiery cloud rather than flying through the debris like more inexperienced pilots might do, possibly not being able to react quickly enough to the blast. Rodger quickly resumed his low-level maneuvers between packs of trees, taller buildings, and larger land formations. Rodger had to constantly scan every piece of his surroundings from the formation of the land below him to the actions of the two pilots below him.

"I'll give these boys one thing, they're determined!" Rodger said.

Then their radio crackled to life.

"Zulu Actual, Central." A voice said, keeping at a 'calm panic' of sorts.

"This is Zulu Actual: go Central!" Diane said.

"What happened Zulu?" The air wing commander asked "You went silent for a whole ten minutes."

"Sorry Central, we were trying to stay hidden, but now we've got two pilots tailing us hot!" Diane replied, her voice audibly strained by G-forces as Richard banked a tight right turn over the surface of a small river.

"Rodger that, we've picked up your location, and I'm scrambling six more of your wing to help you out." The man named 'Central' replied.

"Good, just send them quick!" Diane said, her force now strained by an equally tight left turn around a cluster of trees.

Aiden screamed into his mic. "Dammit Lucian! That nearly killed us!" The F-14 raced inches above the ground. Lucian began to fall behind, his F-16 unable to keep up with the purpose built interceptors, but he still aimed true. "Lucian, You're burning fuel like a madman, break off, I'll take this guy" Aiden couldn't tear his gaze from the winding terrain and the Mig. Suddenly, the aircraft flew over a cliff, seemingly disappearing from view as they "dropped" off the edge. Aiden was able to get the craft below the Mig and get a clean lock. It was over, he hoped. The young female voice behind him cried; "Locked up Anvil!" He shot his last Sparrow and it was guiding true and steady.

Lucian cut the throttle back. "Sorry bout that!" He called, zooming to about 5,000 feet. He then spotted six more Mig-31s inbound, one of whith launched the Russian verison of a AIM-7 sparrow at Aiden. "Fuck! Anvil, Kick right, NOW!!!" Lucian screamed into his mic.

Aiden had to keep the mig in his boresight, or else the AIM-7 would miss, but Aiden would get blasted with shrapnel if he didn't move. He had one more option. "Popping chaff and Flare!" The F-14 kicked out the majority of it's chaff and Aiden put his jammers on high. Right when his missile was about to impact Rodger's plane, Aiden felt a crash. One of the missiles broke through the chaff cloud and impacted Aiden in the left engine. Shrapnel pierced into his tail, smashing it and tearing it off. Now Aiden was on one damaged engine and only had one tail. Kat shrieked as the F-14 pitched up and stalled into a spin. Aiden punched the throttle forward and tried to counter the spin, 2500 feet left, now the plane was pointed straight down, just enough to get lift and pull out. Aiden looked up, and saw an explosion in the sky: his AIM-7. Had it hit the enemy? maybe they escaped the explosion but were damaged? That didn't matter now. Aiden was missing 20% of his airframe and was leaking fuel and was down an engine, completely defenseless. "Lucian, I'm sorry, but you'll have to cover me when we head back. Where's everybody else?"

"I don't know, but get moving, I buy you as much time as I can." Lucian called, knowing there wasn't much he could do without missiles. He still has a full load of gun rounds left, geuss it was time to cash 'em in. He continued, "Anvil, you and Kat egree South-southwest out of the combat zone, but watch out for the Mig-31 that bounced us, if you spot him climb as high as you can and punch out, you reading me on that?"

Lucian, while waiting for Anvil's answer, acelerated on an intercept course for the Six new Migs.

The AIM-7 wasn't quite true in it's aim, though it wasn't entirely off. It had exploded just prior to being within a totally lethal range of the MiG, and so the shrapnel didn't do it's full potential. The molten hot metal scraped across the top, some punched through the center of the plane, but overall Rodger's MiG was okay. It had shaken the plane like hell and it wasn't something that Rodger would call 'pleasant' but he could still fly away from it. He began arching up, away from the ground, and above his pursuer. He was turning upwards at a tight angle.

"All Zulus, this is Zulu Actual: pull out!" Rodger ordered his fellow wing-mates, his voice straining against the gravity that was pulling at him.

"Sir?" One of them asked, confused.

"Get out of here, I'm pulling out!" Rodger was no upside down, going the way he had just come.

"Yes sir." The same pilot said.

The six new MiGs, which had barely came within physical sight of anybody in the original dogfight, now began turning around. It was obvious to anybody that could see them. Rodger flew past the original two planes that he had been fighting as he pushed his engine to the max. As he pulled away to the ocean with his comrades, making their way for one of the other friendly bases where they could restock and rest up, Rodger did something that was very recognizable amongst pilots: he wiggled his wings back and forth as if saying good-bye to the two men he had just been fighting. He knew they were in a bad way and he wanted to catch them in their prime...when they actually had full armaments.

"Hey, they're breaking off!" Kat called out. Aiden turned southeast, and suddenly realized that the mercenary base wasn't in range. The only thing close enough was the Usean Naval carrier "Fort Grace" the very carrier that launched Mobius 1 on his first mission all those years ago. "Fort Grace, we have an emergency, we are allied mercenaries, don't shoot! Requesting permission to land". Aiden's vocal tension was enough for the carrier radio op's decision: let them land. He saw Aiden's crippled fighter, with only one tail, and only 2 wheels down. "Clear the deck! Crash crews prepare for Aircraft retrieval", the intercoms called out. A capture net was raised, and Aiden lined up for landing. "Flow right..." The Landing operator knew that if the F-14 crashed, he would be killed "Line up, call the ball". "Roger, on the ball". Aiden spoke, as he came closer. Suddenly, his hook slammed home on the arresting cable and slowed the fighter down, but it was still moving. It slid across the deck, nearly hitting a parked F-18, but in the end, the fighter had landed safely.

"Fort Grace, I have a problem here, I'm not sure I'll be able to land but try to get the deck as clear as you can for me." Lucian said, orbiting the carrier, knowing full well he did not have the fuel for it. But he was more worried about Aiden and Kat.

"This is Fort Grace, Stand by, we are helping your wingman." the Radio op told Lucian, getting, "hurry the fuck up!!" in return.

Somewhere off shore, an unflagged aircraft carrier carried its cargo consisting of a four-man fighter element. On deck the team leader walks beside the multi-million dollar aircraft that flies him in and out of combat. Sliding his hand against the lightweight material used to create the plane, the pilot nods before sliding his hand off and walking towards the flight tower.

"Captain!" a voice yelled from his left.

Turning towards the yelling, Nicholas watched as one of the deck crewman approached him. Halting and immediately going into an attention stance, the young sailor saluted him. Returning the salute with a nod, Nicholas crossed his arms and awaited what he had to say.

"Sir, the captain of the ship needs you to report to the briefing room to prep you for your mission."

"Thank you, return to your post."

Nodding to the salute from the sailor, Nicholas started his way to the flight tower door. Opening the door, he quickly made his way towards the briefing room. Hopefully this wasn't some bullshit support ground forces mission.

Martin watched the planes land on deck, he jumped into his cockpit and activated the radio to hear what the pilots were saying, he took up the mouthpiece in his helmet and smiled, "What did I miss boys?"

Aiden was shocked that he had landed safely. The canopy was still closed around him like a coffin, and when he reached up to open it, pain shot through his hand. He used his good side to open the canopy. "Kat, you okay?" Crash crews ran over in aid, and what they saw would haunt them forever. When they looked in the back of the cockpit, they saw a woman, Kat, completely limp and void of all life. She was non-responsive as a result of whiplash when the F-14 smashed into the deck. Aiden looked back in pain and reached to her. Her eyes were open, but no life was in them. His one love, dead? No, it couldn't be. It would never happen that way. A stretcher came, and the lifeless Katerina was pulled from the wreck. "no...No! She was right here!" Aiden didn't know if he was sad or angry. He suddenly vomitted inside the plane after finding that her blood was on his hand as a result of her face smashing into the control console.
A Navy corpsman called out; "She has a pulse!" So could she make it? Aiden passed out.

Lucian's landing wasn't much better. He managed to land but his falcon flipped onto it's back after his engine quit 500 feet away from the carrier.

OOC: Hey, by the way, F-16's don't have carrier landing capabilities, and wouldn't the canopy be crushed from an upside down landing? Well, Scarface squadron modified their non-carrier jets in ac2 to land on carriers, so...Yeah.

Aiden awoke. he was watching an aerial battle above. Scarface 1 blazed by, guns running into a bomber, shredding it's engine. Aiden suddenly knew he was in a dream, but he couldn't wake up.

Lucian remembered skidding across at carrier deck as his body slammed into a F-18c hornet's landing gear.

Martin ran up to Lucian, under the f-18c, "Hey! You alright mate?". He bent down and checked his body for injuries, there could be some broken bones, but he couldnt see anything serious, "We should get you to medical"

Lucian was out cold so He didn't hear a word Martin said.

He knew it was napping because he was watching a dogfight between Mobius 1 and Yellows 13 and 4 over Stonehenge.

Martin frowned and picked up Lucian,he was out, for sure, or else he would have reacted when Martin had gotten to him, "Time to get you to medical bud" he whispered into Lucian's ear, stupid, because he was out cold at the moment, but it seemed like the right thing to do.
