Lucian had his F-16C pushing Mach 1 when the five F-4Es he had been tailing bounced him. 'these guys have no clue who they are messing with.' He mused, yanking the throttle back so he almost stalled his jet, but he kept his nose up.

Three miles mout from Lucian's ariel show, Drayane and Ryaia were demolishing a supply base. "Spider, how do you think Wraith is doing?" And another mile from the base, The Stryke Team were playing havoc on the local defrense squad. 'Hope they finish this up quick.' Stryker thought as he jinked from another missle and Sabriel looped over her target.

An almost Raspy, but young voice crackled in Wraith's helmet; "Wraith, this is Anvil, We've got your back." The Gray F-14A burned after the pursuing F-4 Phantoms at Mach 1.5, easily catching up. "Lock him up, Kat", Aiden cried as the F-14 came into missile range. "Way ahead of ya", Aiden's Kalugan RIO, Katerina cried "XLAAs locked. Take 'em" The 4 Phoenix missiles dropped off the rails and rocketed at the Phantoms, exploding and sending white hot shrapnel into them. The F-4's exploded in a brilliant ball of fire. "BINGO!" Aiden "Anvil" Gryphen exclaimed Lucian pulled away, one F-4 on him still.

"Thanks, I owe you two one." Lucian said, calmly, right before pulling a immelman turn linked with a Split-s, placing the F-4 in his sight. "Got lock, Fox two!" Lucian called, his sindwinder sheering off the F-4's vertical stablizer.

Aiden grinned and said: "Hey, I'm just paying you back for last week!" Katerina laughed, but looked down with a frantic look on her face. "Anvil! We've got a Firecan AA Gun locked on us at 3 O'clock! Evade!!!" The radar controlled firecan gained a good radar tone and the AA gun started spitting out red tracers. "Popping chaff!!!"Aiden screamed as he throttled up and pulled away, fire red bullets streaking between his vertical stabilizers. Away from the danger, Katerina "Raptor" Petrova called out a radar hit at 12 O'clock, coming strait down at them. A MiG-31, missiles firing. And- good lord, they were too close to evade correctly. Aiden jammed the throttle forward and sped past the missiles which passed him before the could arm themselves. The Archer missiles exploded harmlessly when they lost a good track. A half second M-61 burst took care of the benevolent MiG. "Who the hell are these guys!?" Said Kat with a barely noticable slavic accent.

"My geuss, A privite military." Lucian replied, riddling the AA gun with his vulcan cannon. He lined up on a SAM and launched his second sidewinder, blowing it to smoking bits.

An F-15 drops in behind Aiden's F-14. "Anvil! Our tail!" The F-15 spat out a fine line of lead that ripped into the F-14's canopy, causing it to lose pressure. And, in a split second, a bullet grazed Aiden's visor while he was looking back, and shattered it, causing small plastic fragments to bloody his face. "AUGH! Kat- Take the stick!!!" Aiden grabbed his eyes as Katerina went full throttle to escape the Eagle. "I'm okay...Thanks" Aiden said as he cleared the last of the plastic from his eyes. "Let's get that bastard!" Aiden performed a textbook immelman turn and sped towards the F-15. "Lets see how he likes a heatseaker up his tail pipe" Aiden got good tone and fired his AIM-9 which tracked the F-15 strait between the engines. After the explosion, there was nothing left but burning debris. "Hey, Lucian, I've had enough fun for one day, how about you?" Aiden said, "I've got nothing else on radar. You?"

Lucian streaked by Aiden and Kat with a Su-37 hot on his tail. "yea, This guy!" Lucian said, pretty much howling into his mike. He was almost inverted as he past by with his port wingtip a mere foot to the right of Aiden's canopy.

Aiden swore to himself and punched the throttle forward, swinging the F-14s wings back. Suddenly the SU-37 streaked by upside down. Kat and Aiden saw the pilot. His eyes, his gear, even the laces in his boots. The F-14 caught up with the fighter. "Kat lock him up, hurry" The Terminator fired a missile which Lucian gracefully dodged. "Aiden!" Kat cried out "He's too close to Lucian, the missile could track him". Aiden thought. his speed was going to overtake the Enemy in a few seconds. By the time they would lock up, he'd be too close for missiles anyway. Guns were his only option. "Lucian, I'm too close for missiles, I'm switching to guns! Break right!" Lucian did so and Aiden fired his gun. A long burn came from the barrels as they rotated and fired round after round, sending hot lead first into the left wing, the left engine, the canopy, the right tail, then a fuel tank on the right wing. The Sukhoi Terminator exploded into a large fireball. The F-14 flew through the fireball at full force, unable to turn, which resulted in debris entering the gun port, jamming it. Aiden spoke up with a slight rasp in his voice "Wraith, Your clear, but I got fragged in that explosion. I only have 3 missiles left and my gun is jammed. 6 kills are enough for one day don't you think? Spider, how are things on your end?"

Stryker got the last plane is his area, Sabriel checked her radar and said, "Stryke two to Wraith, last plane cleared out of my zone Where to next." she asked, looking around the area.

The pilots were good, 1st Lieutenant Rodger Massengale had to give them that, but they hadn't been facing the cream of the crop that his company had to provide. He and 2nd Lieutenant Diane Cates was sitting behind him in the cockpit of their MiG-31 where she was handling the weapons systems for their jets...simply keeping the radar for their missiles inactive so they wouldn't betray their own stealth systems. Both of them were watching the jets in the distance as they wiped out the remainder of the men from the airbase...and Massengale was getting angry: a cooling anger that made his hands go steady as he guided the MiG above the clouds to remain relatively unseen as he got closer. However their stealth didn't last long as Diane flipped on their radar tracking systems to gain their first lock while Rodger began to nose-dive towards the clouds again.

Their entrance from the cloud cover was announced with a single anti-air missile streaking towards one of the planes as Rodger began to pull up once again. The moment that they were level with the highest of the offending aircraft they were scanning the area constantly. Two multi-colored striped helmets were darting about at all times between both radar displays and the physical sight of any hostile aircraft in relation to their own plane.

Lucian automaticly broke right and launched a AIm-7 Sparrow at the decending Mig's belly. 'Wha... Aiden, get clear!" He called to his wing, commencing a headlong charge.

As the Aim-7 Sparrow came streaking through the sky, flares were released from the MiG that began blinding the missile's heat sensors. As a result Rodger was able to pull away from the missile's general area, locate what he believed to be the offending plane, and fire a missile of his own at the pilot. While in the process of doing so it seemed like Rodger was trying to taunt them: rolling, twisting, and turning while he moved about through the air.

Lucian checked his charge by rolling away, the missile pasting by him with a mere inch seperating his falcon from being blown to bits. "This guy has a better jet, lets see how he is playing chaser." Lucian said to himself, pulling up beside then ahead of the enemy Mig.

OOC: within an inch, the missile would blow up anyways. For the sake of ease-of-kills, modern anti-air missiles do not detonate on contact with the target but rather within a set distance of targets. For example, the sidewinder blows up a few feet from the target aircraft and throws molten hot metal rods at it, along with simple shrapnel, and explosive force at it. So to summarize what I just said: Lucian's Falcon would have been hit or at least in some way damaged if the missile had managed to pass within even a few feet of him.

"This guy's good. Kat lock him up" Aiden said as he avoided a stream of cannon fire. "Hold on...this is tough. There!" The AIM-7 locked with a beautiful electronic yell as Kat was able to gain a radar lock. The AIM-7 fired and crept closer to the MiG, but didn't detonate as it should. "DAMMIT!" Aiden was furious. His chance to get this guy failed and Lucian was about to be blown away by this ace.

"Check your equipment before you take off, moron!" Diane called excitedly, mostly to herself, from the back seat of the MiG's cockpit.

"Focus, Diane." Rodger said in to his radio mouth-piece "We're not out of the woods yet: we only got lucky." He said as the missile went streaking uselessly off in to the distance.

Rodger was quickly taking his situation in to account, planning what he had to do at the moment. Ahead of him was one of the hostile jets, the pilot having seemed to purposely maneuvered himself in to that position. Meanwhile behind him a second jet was in hot pursuit on his own tail after having just discharged a dud missile. So Rodger was in a difficult position at the moment when it came to the next moments' actions. If he decided to engage the bogey at his twelve o' clock then the pilot would start evasive maneuvers that would most likely end in a dirty gun-to-gun conflict between the three of them so the two enemy pilots could avoid shooting each other down with heat-seeking missiles. Despite the grim deduction, Richard had no doubt that he would at least be able to cripple at least one of them badly enough to prevent them from getting to their home base before one of them shot him down from behind.

The second option was that Rodger could break off in order to try and loose the bogey on his six o'clock. The down-side to this would be that the pilot in front of him would be able to reorient himself once Rodger broke away. Besides this, the bogey behind him would probably still try and pursue, but Rodger would just have to play a game of "Low Lying Luke" if he did: getting as low to the ground as possible in order to tempt his tail in to lowering down in to dangerous terrain. Waying his options in a matter of moments, Rodger came to a decision of what he would do...a third option he had suddenly developed on, with no pun intended, the fly. Rodger raised the nose of the MiG for a few brief moments as if he was breaking up, then nosed down while doing a rapid counter-clockwise turn between the two enemies, and when he was below them he cut throttle to let them pass overhead at high speeds so he could be behind both of them.

"Watch it, watch it!" Kat called out as the F-14's speed brought it closer to Lucians Falcon. Aiden jerked the stick back and missed the smaller jet by mere feet. Aiden cursed and said "How can that Foxhound move like that!?" The Tomcat rolled over in front of Lucian and dove after the MiG. "If this guy wants to play low altitude, I'm happy to oblige". Aiden had recalled seeing Scarface 1 flying at low altitude in a similar matter in 1999 when he was a young boy. He had been staying with his family at the civilian airport near White Valley Airforce base that the STFS flew out of. He watched him speed off under 1000 feet and destroy the Airbase from the safety of the cliffs. Thinking about it now, he happened to be at Twinkle island when it came under attack during the Usean rebellion also. he knew he could take this guy.

Lucian instantly killed his thrust and inverted, quickly orienting his nose toward the Mig's 1 o'clock. He'd gotten a tone for a head on sindwinder shot just as his engine died. "I don't know, but I got bigger problems!!" Lucian cried in shock as his jet refused to respond. "My sticks dead!" Lucian continued, trying to restart the Falcon and watched the Mig at the same time.

Kat said "Aiden, I can't get a clean shot with all this ground clutter! It's like looking into a sandbox!" After a moment's pause, Aiden thought to himself; his gun was jammed, and the 2 missiles he had left couldn't work. Ram? A crazy thought, but the Tomcat he was piloting WAS in bad shape. No cabin pressure, holes in one engine and a wing, and half of his electronics were down. Yes. He could do it. Bail out right before impact. But then Aiden noticed Lucian falling below 1000 feet with no power. "Lucian, you're too low! Bail out! Eject, eject, eject!!!" Aiden kept calling out as he followed the MiG through the winding terrain.
