Esme smiled. "Yes it does," She replied as she slowly walked up the driveway. "If we get there soon enough. What if we don't? You know that the Volturi won't take a second thought to kill them all right off," She continued as worry filled her face. "What if they kill the children? The purely innocent human children!" She continued as she began pacing.

Alice frowned and patted Esme on the shoulder. "We will get there in time. I see that too." She said in a reassuring voice. "But you're right we should get a move on, Bella, Edward and Renesmee and coming now." She said, staring down the street as they came into view.

Cataline bit her lip and shoved away from her mate gently. "Okay. I'm okay now." Her fingers brushed tenderly over the bruises under his eyes. "Go hunt, mi amor, I'll keep watch over the children." He stared hard at her for a long moment and then nodded. He ducked down to press his lips against hers briefly and then was gone. She could hear his soft footfalls in the forest, far away already.

"Thank you, sweetie," she sighed as she swept back into the kitchen. She kissed the top of Emilia's head softly and nudged her toward her usual seat. "Go ahead, dig in. Does anyone want eggs to go with it? Bacon? Fruit?" Stress or no stress she was ever vigilant of how much the children ate. She fed so infrequently when compared to them that it made her a little bit paranoid as to how much they should eat. One thing about the Moore children, they would never go hungry.

"And please, what is that thing on the deck in the tub? It slithers." she asked, shooting a pointed look at her youngest.

Emilia managed to giggle, the sound was a bit forced, but she needed to calm down. "I blame Evan of course, he always brings home friends for me to see." She smiled at the boy sincerely and took a seat beside her siblings. She ate her pancakes in silence for a good while, the feeling of the food sliding down her throat didn't feel quite right today.

Esme smiled and waved as she saw the family coming into view. "Then we better get going," She said. "The boys need to hurry up in there," She said as she kept her smile ready for when little Renesme would arrive. She had always loved her grandchild and was thrilled that she would be able to survive on human food too because she did want the child to be normal.

"How long do you think it will take to get there?" She asked as she turned back to Alice.

Alice was able to answer Esme's question almost instantly. "Well, if we run the entire trip and swim when necessary we should get there by tomorrow night. But, if we take a plane.." Alice said, looking at the bags everyone was carrying. "It will take at least 2 days." Her eyes dropped to her own overpacked bags. "Not that I'd mind carrying these bags by foot, it's nothing."

Jasper calmy walked outside carrying a black backpack over his shoulder. His smile was friendly as if everything was fine and it managed to bring up Esme and Alice's mood. He quickly grabbed Alice's bags and nodded as a greeting to Edward, Alice and their daughter as they neared the estate. "We leaving?" He asked, his voice showing he was as content as Alice was.

Emmet sped through the forest. He had just gotten a good enough meal and he would be ready to be around humans. He smiled as he reached the large, white Cullen house and saw his family waiting outside. Quickly he bounded into the house and snatched a small suitcase. He then ran back down the stairs and outside where he leaned against the side of his Jeep, waiting.

Alice smiled up at Jasper, who was at least two full heads taller than her. "Hey Jazz" She greeted him, affectionately using his pet name. She giggled to herself, knowing that if he could, the nickname would make him blush. "I'm excited to meet the Moores, a vampire family with human kids.. who would have thought.." She trailed off, sighing in disbelief.

Jasper rolled his eyes at the nickname but didn't say anything about it. "It was hard enough with Bella here in the beginning. I can't imagine having to live with some of them. It'd be too challenging," He said. "But yes, this shall be an interesting experience."

He then turned to Emmet. "You and Rosalie ready?" He asked.

Emmet's eye reached Jasper who had just asked him a question and he shrugged. "Not sure," He said, truthfully not knowing if Rosalie was ready or not. Surprisingly he hadn't seen her all morning.

"Mom, who's the company gonna be? What're they like? Do they have any kids?" Kara questioned once again as soon as her mother entered the kitchen. Her eyes brightened when they great smelling food was placed in front of her. Karra was a small girl which was surprising as to how much food their mother gave them. She pulled the pancake apart with her hands, leaving the outside pieces on the plate and eating the inside parts. Kara was a picky eater even when it came to simple foods.

Nathan rolled his eyes at his sister. He knew she was holding out on something so he decided to question his mother but not on stupid things like he thought Karra was asking. "Why are these people coming?" Nathan asked, his tone was very serious as his eyes narrowed. He picked up a piece of bacon but kept his eyes fixed on his mother.

Cataline arranged her face very carefully. She had smart children. It was sometimes a stretch to be cleverer than they were. "They're called the Cullens. I haven't properly met them yet, so I don't know exactly what they're like, but they seemed very nice over the phone. They do have a child, I think." She stalled over Nathan's question, filling four glasses with orange juice.

"Oh, well, Nathan, they're coming to visit. Dr. Cullen has been researching his family tree and believes your father to be some distant relative, I've forgotten exactly how, second or third cousins... He and his family were planning a vacation and I guess they decided to come spend some time with us."

Cataline heard Joseph approaching in the distance and prayed that he would go along with it.

"Then why does it feel so tense?" He questions as he picked up acpiece of fuit and popped it into his mouth. He looked at Karra. She was very gullable but in an innocent childish way.

"Maybe they'll bring presents! How many are there? Are they all boys? I hope there is some girls!" Shw said as she ate half of her food and teared apart the rest.

Cataline began piling dishes into the sink and flipped on the hot water. "Oh, Joseph is a little apprehensive," she sighed. "Karra, please eat, don't play with it, dear." She said this just about every meal and had very little hope of more than half of the food on Karra's plate getting into her mouth.

"But I'm not hungry," Karra complained as she pushed the plate into the center of the table as she stood up on top of her chair. A wide smile stretched across her face as she began jumping up and down in her chair. "When will they get here!?" She asked as she continued to jump on the chair.

She leaned in over the table and quickly pushed Emilia's drink glass onto her lap, giggling outloud. She was never usually one to bother her older sister but when she was excited she did.

Emilia sighed heavily and bit her lip as her orange juice spilled all over her new jeans. That had done it. She was going to start crying again if she didn't get out of there. She was just about ready to burst, to scream at her younger sister. But she turned to look at her, her young, innocent face. She couldn't do it. What if she lost her family? What if she never saw them again? She couldn't leave with an arguement. So, she simply rose from where she was sitting, leaving her second pancake completely untouched. "Please excuse me.." She mumbled, forcing a small smile but not looking any of her family member's in the eye. Her plan was to dash from the room before a single tear could shed, unfortunately, her one good leg and a metal crutch could only carry her out of the kitchen, up the stairs and into her bedroom so fast. She stripped herself of her jeans and was quickly buried beanth the covers of her bed. Curling up in her bed covers, she felt like a catipillar becoming a coocoon, she was ready for whatever changes may come, but she was totally defensless.
