I'm new here but not new to RP. I've been away from the forum RP scene for several years and am looking to get back into it. My goals are to work on continuing to develop my RP and writing skills while learning to get better with both. I really want to get better at knowing how to further story/plot and how to create three-dimensional, flawed yet interesting characters with meaningful motivations.

hi there! welcome to roleplay gateway! it's a great place to work on all of the things you said. be sure to check out the universes you can find in that tab, there's quite a variety! (use the filtering options to your advantage and get put in the 1x1 tag though, so you don't have to sort through all of those)

when it comes to characters, be sure to start getting used to things like character profiles that are coded using the bbcode on here. it's great to make pretty looking profiles, but can take time getting used too!

if you have any questions, be sure to send messages to the staff! i'm usually available as well, though can't promise the greatest results from me haha

Thank you very much! This site definitely caught my attention. I think it's really cool that it acts as kind of an aggregate for so many different rpgs so you don't have to search Google for each kind of individual one. And I really love that you get a master account (this one) and it keeps track of all my different characters (when I finally have some ^_^).

oh yes for sure! it's super nice, that's definitely one of the things that brought me here. not to mention how much easier it is to get people to join the ones you create! (though fair warning, inactive players and roleplays are a struggle on here, which can be a bit of a pain)
yes! master account is wonderful, as is the list for characters, which for someone like me, who probably makes much too many, that is suuuuper helpful hahaha, as you begin making more and more i'm sure you'll find it so very helpful.
the organization (though not perfect, is much better than most roleplay sites) on the site is something that definitely attracted me lots.
