House of Weird?

House of Weird?

This is an idea I've been toying with for a while, but haven't really had a chance to flesh out.

I've always done a lot of fantasy style rps, the kind set in their own separate worlds.. the basic sword and sorcery types. And while I love those kinds of settings, I've been really wanting to do something set in modern times, maybe in a fictional city, but still something at least rooted in the real world. Soo.. I sort of combined the two with a couple of other ideas I've recently had.

What I came up with is something like this:

You live in a typical city, living a typical life. But in reality, you're anything but typical. You may live as a human, but human is only half of what you are. Since the other half of your being (angel, demon, dragon, faerie, kitsune... whatever, I don't care) manifested itself, you've found that you don't really fit in with "normal people", and most other supernatural beings hate you for being a half breed. Eventually, though, you come across a community of others like yourself.. maybe living in an old mansion, or basically renting out an entire apartment complex.. something. You finally found somewhere you don't feel so out of place, somewhere you can feel safe, somewhere can attempt to have a "normal" life.

Well.. that's the plan anyway.. there's not much chance of putting that many magic wielding half-whatever's in a confined space and having them get along forever.

Anyway.. that's probably not the most well thought out explanation ever, but it's like 3 am and I'm half asleep.. besides, this is just an interest check, after all. If anybody likes the basic idea and wants to work with me on getting it off the ground, please.. let me know. I think this could be pretty fun.

Hey this sounds cool! Sorry Aether didnt really work out, the posts were all spaced out and we all just kind of slowly left.....But I'd love to work with you again! I definately make a character when this starts!
