Warning: a lot of my tropes will apply to stuff in Lila and Over There. Translation: some stuff won't make sense until said stuff is brought up in the RP. And, of course, this list will update over time.
The one-month editing limit is going to be a bitch. I guess we'll just bother Lodnir. (':
I'm nowhere near finished with my trope list, so if you're like "wtf why isn't [obvious trope goes here] on there", then yeah that's why.

Trope Name(: Why does the trope apply?)
- Above Good and Evil: Not entirely uncommon.
- A God Am I: Averted. Supposedly people who would react to being Promoted in such a way would never actually be considered worthy by Their standards.
- Angst? What Angst?: Quite a few of the old Tested and Them.
- Anime Anatomy: To the extreme; most bodily functions aren't even possible.
- Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: What all of Them did.
- Badass: Pretty much everyone.
- Badass Minds Think Alike: Not uncommon among the old tested and Them.
- Bloody Murder: Souls = Tested blood, so all of those people who use their soul as a weapon...
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Frequently.
- Break the Cutie: More prevalent in the story than the RPs.
- Children Are Innocent: Or else they're crazy.
- Clasp Your Hands If You Deceive: Done a few times.
- Clean Cut: More plausible in the Test Reality because Tested don't have muscles, bones, etc.
- Cool Shades: EVERYWHERE. It's actually one of Their 'laws' that one should have shades prepared at all times.
- Closed Circle: The Tested aren't able to leave until the Competition is won, or unless they get Their permission.
- Conveniently An Orphan: All of the old Tested. They all (well, the natural-born ones) had parents, but they were Unreal and therefore vanished as soon as the child became aware of their Tested-ness.
- Cosmic Plaything: The Tested. (':
- Crazy Awesome: A lot of stuff.
- Cross Over: In addition to some canon characters being present, a bunch of characters from GSG's other plots are present.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Happened often in the second Competition. There's a reason I made the old Tested lazy.
- Deadly Game: The Competition.
- Deal With The Devil: This sure happens a lot...
- Demoted to Extra: The previous Oress Holders.
- Driven To Suicide: Plenty of the old Tested and plenty of Them.
- Elemental Powers: Covered by the Oress.
- Eternal Recurrence: Because Opine is never satisfied.
- Every Girl Is Cuter With Hair Decs: Pretty prevalent, especially with the (semi-)lolis.
- Finger Twiddling: My characters do this a lot. (':
- Friendly Enemy: Very prevalent among the old Tested.
- Getting Crap Past The Radar: I'm looking at you, TCC.
- Glamour Failure: Occurs when one doesn't have a Mirror.
- Go Out With A Smile: Frequent during the second Competition, most noticeably with Umbra and Soleil.
- Grey and Gray Morality: Everywhere.
- Iconic Item: Practically everyone has one.
- I Got Better: The Tested healing factor is pretty intense.
- I Just Want to Be Normal: Some of the new Tested, in a way.
- I Knew It: Pretty much everyone from the Bitlands knew that Larya, Bunny, and FLO were almighty beings. Most people figured that Umbra was Opine's avatar before the reveal.
- Immortal Immaturity: Them, but the trope is often preserved to prevent mental stagnation.
- Immortality Begins At Twenty: Tested don't age beyond their late twenties/early thirties.
- Impossibly Cool Clothes: Common with my character designs. Why do you think I haven't updated the appearance sections?
- Killed Mid-Sentence: The old Tested do this a lot, particularly Dicro and Umbra. You've been warned.
- Kill 'Em All: The Competition.
- Late Arrival Spoiler: Umbra's adorable loli maid is a being beyond Them?!
- Life Energy: See Our Souls Are Different.
- Meaningful Name: Relatively common.
- Minidress of Power: I...I use a lot of these in character designs. They used to be the only thing my female characters would wear lolololololoanyways, these are part of the Manipulator uniform.
- Noodle Incident: Before the third Competition, Dicro, Umbra, Soleil, Ciess, Shan, and Ara were all apparently involved in some incident so intense that they've all forbidden each other from speaking of it. Supposedly this incident involved a maid outfit, creeping, chocolate cake, closets, and death. Not related to that one time, which was where Umbra saved Entirety and Nette officially deemed Umbra her God.
- Older Than They Look: Most of Them.
- Our Souls Are Different: So much.
- Pals With Jesus: They're pretty friendly, especially with the Tested. Most of the Tested have Their numbers...
- Powers That Be: Them.
- Really 700 Years Old: 700 is pretty young for one of Them...
- Reset Button: Pressed many times.
- Shoo Out The Clowns: The less serious and more lighthearted your character is, the more likely they're going to die.
- Sure, Why Not?: Where half of the plot points come from. (':
- Sympathetic Murderer: Pretty much everyone.
- Trapped in Another World: The new Tested.
- Willing Suspension of Disbelief: This is an RP about manbears, Pokemon, tentacle monsters, and magical balls. Let go.
- What Do You Mean, It Wasn't Made On Drugs?: Seriously, guys! I'm clean!
- Who Wants To Live Forever?: They do everything possible to avoid this: holding monotonous jobs to make everything else seem exciting no matter what (AKA why Reapers exist), hopping Realities, allowing themselves to get temporarily reincarnated, undergoing memory wipes whenever stagnation sets in, etc.
- World of Badass
- Writing By The Seat Of Your Pants: AREN'T YOU GUYS GLAD TO KNOW THAT I PLAN NOTHING FOR YOUR FUTURES
- Villain Protagonist: Everyone's trying to kill each other, so...yeah. In the story version, this still applies if you consider Umbra a villain.
- Zettai Ryouiki: Even more common than minidresses.
- All Encompassing Mantle: A shorter version; part of the Manipulator uniform.
- Nice Hat: A two-pointed witch's hat; part of the Manipulator uniform.
- Opera Gloves: Part of the Manipulator uniform.
- Stocking Filler: Part of the Manipulator uniform.
- Almighty Janitor: He's perfectly capable of taking over Entirety...he just doesn't want to.
- The Arthur Dent: Back before the Competition started but after he became aware of Them and being a Tested, he was this in spades.
- Asexuality: Sort of? He's really weird about love. Like, he's made out with almost a dozen characters in this RP (but not actually during the RP), but he doesn't do relationships. At the same time, he doesn't really turn down dates...but he's not trying to whore himself out and he genuinely loves a lot of people. But doesn't love love them. Or something. Even he has difficulties explaining it.
- Badass Longcoat: Considered to only be moderately badass.
- Brass Balls: You've seen nothing.
- God For A Day: More than once; He's handed His job over to Dicro temporarily plenty of times.
- It Amused Me: Pretty much the only reason he's helping Ignis.
- Nice Guy
- Collared By Fashion: Of the clothing sort.
- Giant Waist Ribbon
- Improbable Weapon User: She attacks with her soul. Yeah.
- Submissive Badass
- White-Haired Pretty Girl
- Cloud Cuckoolander: Only when she feels it's appropriate to be silly, though.
- Detached Sleeves: Pants, actually.
- Genki Girl: Although Ignis has successfully suppressed her genki-ness for the majority of the RP.
- Mind Control Eyes: When being used as Dicro's Marionette.
- Angst? What Angst?: Stands out among the rest due to the fact that he lost the love of his life, is unsure if he'll ever see her again because of her being an Oress Holder, and then lost his only connection (Charteuse, since he was in love with the previous holder of Lesni) to her. He's cool, though.
- In the Hood: He's not trying to hide anything, though.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: ?!
- Beware the Nice Ones: No, seriously.
- Black Best Friend: She's everyone's black best friend!
- Cool Big Sis: Whether you like it or not.
- The Fashionista: Is responsible for filling the closets of all of the old Tested, particularly Umbra.
- Hidden Badass
- Impractically Fancy Outfit: She designs these a lot, but rarely wears them.
- Lady in Red: Whenever she goes out to sing.
- Nice Hat: Her white beret, given to her by her friend Anisa.
- Hidden Depths: She used to be unimportant like Ceri and Pierre. Then she killed them.
- Anti-Villain: She kills people 1) to end the Competition, 2) to ensure that others won't have to suffer through killing the people they love, and 3) so people will blame her for their misery instead of themselves. Less obvious in the third Competition since she hasn't done much, but is pretty much the entire focus of the story.
- Beneath The Mask: Don't get me started.
- Boobs of Steel: Naturally.
- Buxom Is Better: Indeed.
- Dark Messiah: During the second Competition, her nickname over There was actually 'Hellbound Messiah'. Actually applies to some extent in the story.
- Defrosting Ice Queen
- Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: There was this one time where she saved Entirety by beating the shit out of Arella. Considering that Mikimi is basically the Test Reality's equivalent of Cthulhu, this probably applies twice over.
- Did You Think I Can't Feel?: Implying that Umbra is a heartless murderer in front of her usually results in this. Then you may or may not die, depends on how you respond.
- Don't You Dare Pity Me: DON'T DO IT
- Driven To Madness: The last stretch of the Competition did bad, bad things to her mental state.
- Fingerless Gloves: Frequently.
- French Maid: See Maple Manor.
- Improbable Weapon User: Like with Tintra, she attacks with her soul. Umbra has to physically cut herself open in order to turn her soul into a weapon, but that just makes her more badass.
- Jerkass Facade: More obvious in the previous cycles and second Competition.
- Little Black Dress: Her infamous slutty dress.
- Major Injury Underreaction: One time she got her arm cut off (it grew back). She then proceeded to use her soul to make herself a gun arm.
- Mama Bear: Once upon a time some people threatened Ara. She killed them so hard she almost killed herself. Yeah.
- Noble Demon: To some extent, at least externally. At the very least she doesn't do much to clear up her reputation...
- Remember When You Blew Up A Sun?: Umbra's done a lot of badass stuff. Expect said stuff to be mentioned a lot, especially if Nette's anywhere nearby. "Remember that one time when you stopped Arella from taking over Entirety?"
- Rule of Symbolism: Her subconscious isn't exactly subtle.
- Sweet Tooth: The only food she can't resist is chocolate cake.
- The Walls Have Eyes: Everywhere in her subconscious. EVERYWHERRRRRRRRE
- Tsundere: But that's just how Ignis likes it.
- Woman In Black
- Wouldn't Hurt A Child: To the point where she's practically physically incapable of doing so.
- Abusive Parents: She ran away, so it must've been bad when you consider her personality (minus the emotionlessness, anyways).
- Apologises A Lot
- Improbable Hairstyle: Her hair always stays perfectly curled no matter what, despite the fact that she doesn't even curl it...
- Obfuscating Stupidity: She's...not your average 10-year-old girl.
- The Pollyanna
- A-Cup Angst: And is therefore jelly of Umbra. Of course, Ciess has a better ass than Umbra. Expect this conversation to be brought up whenever they get into any kind of argument.
- Baby Got Back: She still wants boobs.
- Battle Couple: With Shan.
- Happily Married: To Shan.
- Hot Chick In A Badass Suit: Not exactly, but her standard outfit is basically a mishmash of a business suit, a minidress, a Playboy Bunny outfit, and lots of
pinkviolet. - Sacrificial Lion
- Unholy Matrimony: Ciess and Shan aren't exactly good guys.
- Battle Couple: With Ciess.
- Casting a Shadow
- Collared By Fashion: Of the clothing kind. Overlaps with High Collar Of Doom.
- Dressed to Kill: Almost. He's not quite fancy enough, but he's still pretty sharp for someone who kills the way he does.
- Happily Married: To Ciess.
- Morality Chain: He's had a few of these. Ciess somehow qualifies (she's pretty stabby, but they mellow each other out) and Ara might qualify to some degree (at least when she's nearby), but Kim-Ko is currently the only thing preventing him from going on a murdering spree.
- Nice Hat: That's one sexy fedora.
- Stealth Hi Bye: When he feels like being extra creepy. (':
- The Stoic: And then Ciess died.
- Too Many Belts: Not as extreme as some other examples, but...
- Unholy Matrimony: See Ciess.
- The Power of Love: Entria.
- derp
- derp
- Defrosting Ice Queen
- Emotionless Girl: Until DBA came along, anyways.
- Nice Hat: Well, hatband.
- Big Brother Mentor: Totally this towards everyone.
- Ensemble Darkhorse: Bunny started life as a one-shot character in an IRL comic who I shoved into the Oress Plot for the lulz. People loved that little :3-faced guy, and now he's your god. Literally.
- Frozen Face: :3
- Killer Rabbit: He's capable of it. Don't act like you're surprised.
- Harmless Villain: I mean, he's a stuffed animal...
- Killer Rabbit: He wishes.
- Fanservice with a Smile: FLOs are lovable for more than one reason, you know.
- Meganekko
- derp
- Badass Normal: Was definitely this before the third Competition.
- Dark-Skinned Blond
- All Encompassing Mantle: A shorter version; part of the Manipulator uniform.
- Cold-Blooded Torture: Claims to have done this.
- Desperately Looking For A Purpose In Life
- Don't You Dare Pity Me: You'd be better off pitying Umbra.
- Evil Albino: Only in the Test Reality. In other Realities she's the opposite.
- Nice Hat: A two-pointed witch's hat; part of the Manipulator uniform.
- Opera Gloves: Part of the Manipulator uniform.
- Stocking Filler: Part of the Manipulator uniform.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: Verity was only so batshit crazy because she wanted to give herself a purpose in life.
- Woman in White
- Kimono Fanservice: Her variation of the 'Mirror Goddess uniform' is a lot...sexier than Lilita's, to say the least.
- Tall, Dark, and Snarky
- Beware the Nice Ones: She's generally a benevolent god. Generally.
- Miko: Gives out vibes of this, especially her uniform.
- Awesome Anachronistic Appeal: He doesn't exactly dress modern. "Gentlemen get all the bitches."
- Badass Longcoat: And it's fancy!
- Dark and Troubled Past: The first Competition was...it wasn't fun.
- Do Not Call Me Paul: Dislikes being referred to by His actual name, since that name belongs to Dicro.
- Large Ham: When put into the proper situation (in a giant robot, a Reality full of superheroes and villains when there's a dramatic evil cape available, a game of chess...), there is no one hammier.
- Magnificent Bastard: Once pulled this off for the hell of it in another Reality this one time. Quite impressively, too.
- Morality Chain: To Tzila.
- Nice Hat: A fancy top hat that's part of his Marionettiste uniform. Not uncommon for it to be stolen. Its niceness is legendary among Them.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: He's generally just referred to as Him, Boss, Spades, or whatever people come up with.
- Papa Wolf: Threatening Nette and/or Meil is a bad idea.
- Real Men Wear Pink: Due to being a Spade-Rose Marionettiste, his uniform contains pink here and there. He makes it work.
- Sharp Dressed Man
- Sophisticated as Hell: Really likes this trope, but doesn't get to use it as often as he'd like.
- Waistcoat Of Style
- Big Eater: She can't gain weight thanks to her anatomy and she gets medication from Poice to stop her soul from vibrating, so she goes all out.
- Elegant Gothic Lolita: Well, she adores lolita fashion in general.
- Genki Girl
- Improbable Hairstyle: Occasionally.
- Little Miss Badass
- Mind Control Eyes: When being used as His Marionette.
- Plucky Girl
- Tsundere: Towards Meil and initially towards Him. Justified in both cases: she's uncomfortable loving Him due to the moral implications of their age difference, not to mention the whole reincarnation thing with Nette remembering original!Fray's life and Fray existing as a separate entity but not really... As for Meil, she's uncomfortable with loving him because she's already in love with Him.
- Making A Spectacle Of Yourself: She only wears her cool shades when it's badass time.
- Unlimited Wardrobe
- Ax Crazy
- Cold-Blooded Torture: We're not going to talk about it.
- Combat Stilettos
- Complete Monster: Although I haven't given Her the opportunity to do much, she has no redeeming qualities whatsoever and is a nightmare in Lila: Reflect and Over There.
- Driven To Madness: No one's quite sure why, but the announcement of the first Competition made Her the sociopath She is today.
- Improbable Weapons User: See Tintra.
- That Man Is Dead: She quickly abandoned Her name after going batshit crazy.
- Card-Carrying Villain
- Even Evil Has Standards: Arella's absolutely appalled by Her and the things She does.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Rarely, but she has her moments.
- Noble Demon: Arella is evil and shows it, but deep, deep, deep down...she's still sort of kind of angelic. She saves most of her abuse for her Chillies, and even then she focuses mostly on the prisoners who deserve it. She usually won't randomly go after people, either...you're only a target if you piss her off. Granted, it's not that hard, but...
- Take Over the World: Well, Entirety. And she would've gotten away with it if it wasn't for that meddling Umbra!
- derp
- derp
- derp
- derp
- Dressed To Heal: Although she's a bit more stylish than your average 'nurse'.
- All Encompassing Mantle: Used to wear one of these when she was all Reaper-y.
- Baby Got Back: The booty shorts help.
- Dark Is Not Evil: Her Oress represents death, grief, and sadness...but she's pretty G.
- In the Hood: Well, not anymore, but she still really likes hoods...
- Time Abyss: She's not the only one who's been alive for pretty much eternity, but she's the one who acts the most like it.
- Who Wears Short Shorts?: Neren does!
- Bare Your Midriff
- Cute Monster Girl: She thinks she's hideous, though.
- Shrinking Violet: Before the events of this RP, anyways.
- Stripperific: Apparently to make up for being a monster.
- Bare Your Midriff
- Giant Waist Ribbon
- The Power of Love: She can heal people with hugs, kisses, and sex. For real.
- Sweet Tooth: Why do you think she's always baking?
- Dressed To Heal: Even though she doesn't actually have healing abilities or medical experience...
- Dumb Blonde
- derp
- Showgirl Skirt: Made of flowers!
- Badass Labcoat
- For Science
- Glove Snap: Usually just for dramatic effect.
- The
MadHappy Hatter: He's perfectly fine with being 'happy'! MadHappy Scientist- Nerd Glasses: Kilii's supposedly the only one who's seen his eyes...
- Badass Labcoat
- For Science
- Glove Snap
- Hot Scientist: Succubi are great with biology!
- Cute Monster Girl
- Elegant Gothic Lolita: Well, ero loli, anyways.
- Giant Waist Ribbon
- Cute Monster Girl
- Petite Pride: "Everyone wants to ride a surfboard!"
- Absolute Cleavage: She's the queen of all succubi, duh.
- Knight Templar: She just wants everyone to always love each other forever and ever and ever!
- Stripperific: Only natural for a succubus.
- Just...just apply all of the sexy tropes.
- Big Badass Bird Of Prey: He thinks so, anyways.
- I Just Want To Be Badass
- Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: What? Sprinkles was meant to be taken seriously at some point in his life?!
- Apologises A Lot
- Armor-Piercing Question: "Do you hate me?" Needless to say, Nette realized that she was kind of being a douche and stopped being so excessively tsuntsun towards him.
- Cowardly Sidekick: To Nette.
- Cute Shotaro Boy: HE'S SO MOE~ ♥
- Dark and Troubled Past: There's a reason he's so easily terrified and obsessed with making people happy.
- One-Winged Angel: No, seriously. He died twice at the same time the one time he summoned said form, though, so yeah.
- Shrinking Violet: When he's not just downright afraid of everyone.
- Stepford Smiler: Earlier on in Over There.
- That One Guy: At least at home. He's the only male in a residence of 13 maids...
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Only to certain people, though.
- Meido
- Big Eater: Helal, anyways.
- Nice Hat: No matter what oversized kind of hat she wears, it's nice in both manners: it's the only thing shutting Helal up!
- Affably Evil: She's pretty cool for a murderer.
- Chained by Fashion: She used to constantly wear broken handcuffs back in Spezia, usually collecting quite a few...
- Even Evil Has Standards: At least since moving over There.
- Femme Fatale: Back in Spezia, anyways.
- For the Evulz: Why she kills people. Most of the time.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's not even trying to be a jerk...people just find murder jerk-y.
- You Are Worth Hell: Almost. It's a long story.
- Did You Think I Can't Feel?: In her own story, anyways.
- Frozen Face: She was cursed by her 'superiors' to never be able to change her expression.
- Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: Sort of. She was forced into destroying countless worlds, thus turning her into a woobie, not being so woobie-licious that she destroyed everything.
- Ambiguously Evil: CopyCat's level of evilness varies constantly.
- Jerk With A Heart Of Jerk
- Big Eater: Mmm, souls.
- Black and White Beauty: Except she's literally black and white, not just pale and dark-haired.
- Stealth Hi Bye: If she can, she will.
- The Fashionista
- Impractically Fancy Outfit: All the time.
- Cleavage Window: All of her sexy sweaters (which also show her cute shoulders) have this.
- Leprechaun Color Scheme
- Stealth Pun: Her name was supposed to be a corruption of 'clover' to reference her color scheme, but her name's only two letters away from something more fitting...
- Sweater Girl
- Big Bad: Well, that's what everyone's going with.
- Complete Monster: Most of the new Tested view her as this.
- Impractically Fancy Outfit: It's quite fancy.
- Manipulative Bastard: It's just what she does.
- The Reveal: Opine always wears a mask because she looks exactly like Umbra...who was created by Halyn to be her own personal avatar.
- Suicidal Cosmic Temper Tantrum: What everyone's trying to prevent.
- Troll: Opine discovered 4chan after her encounter with Elia.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: All she wants is to create the perfect game; she just wants to recreate the world 'they showed [her]'.
