Kona is beloved by most everyone who he meets and is known for his laid backness and patience. He's got a big heart and has a soft spot for kids, especially his grandchildren. He can often be found surfing if not lazing around his lavish home with a grandchild or two.

Optional History
Kona is the only child of Hiwahiwakeiki and the only grandchild of Queen Liliʻuokalani. He was born and raised in Lahaina and he's helped build it into what it is today. After his wife died of cancer and he had served many decades as one of the island's major architects he retired to spend more time with his large family.

Like his father, Mano is very laid back. Though he is a bit more go-with-the-flow than even Kona. He's a man with a big heart and an impish nature, often described as an oversized child. Despite having a wife, so many children, and a business to care for he still manages to be stress free. He takes unfortunate events in stride and rolls with the punches, always capable of finding the silver lining no matter how bad things may seem. Still, it's best not to get on his bad side because he can be extremely aggressive when he feels offended or threatened. He is 2nd degree black belt in Kung Fu.

Ailani is a very sweet woman and very energetic. She's a fitness nut who has zero problems flaunting her figure and bragging about how easily she snaps back into shape after pregnancies. She's a lot more fierce than her husband, much easier to piss off. She holds a grudge and doesn't take shit from anyone, always having a quip at the tip of her tongue to defend herself and her family.

Unlike her father and little brothers, Malie isn't exactly the most carefree person in Hawaii. She certainly knows how to kick back and relax but she also holds a stronger sense of duty, responsibility, and justice. Though, that's mostly in the public eye. Her father and siblings have a way of bringing out her wild side, leading to a number of photos gracing the newspaper that show her getting buckwild while drunk at a bar. She's a very independent woman and takes pride in this and is a self proclaimed humanist. She has no love for people of the mainland and hates the idea of haole holding authority positions within Hawaii's government, always free to lend someone a helping hand in their campaign. When she finally had enough, she decided that she would run for Governor. Like her brothers, she also doesn't take shit from anyone and is a 3rd degree black belt in Kung Fu.

Written Personality
Akamu is the baby of Kona's bunch and he certainly acts like it. He is well known for being more like a teenager than a successful businessman. He can be a bit eccentric and is constantly scolded by Malie and Ailani for leading their pack of children into fun and sometimes questionably dangerous adventures. He's the fun uncle that they all love. He's beloved by his guests and employees for being so fun and lenient. It's often that you'll find children from both in and out of town running around the hotel, supervised by a staff of responsible and fun adults and teens so that their parents get all the alone time that they need. Unlike his father and older siblings, he is not quite so proficient in the art of Kung Fu, having never surpassed his red belt, though that's still enough to take care of himself and his kids. He's a very loving and doting person and generally not aggressive at all. His lack of aggressiveness comes from when he was fifteen and much wilder, having accidentally put a boy in a coma whilst fighting.

Alamea-Kelii is originally from Honolulu but moved to Lahaina during her senior year last year. She had no friends and was always a bit to shy to make any. She met Hiwalani-Noa through hula and was the last to join Noa's small clique. She's the brains of the group and, like Cassidy, enjoys talking with Kona about Hawaii's history to learn what books could not teach. She has self-esteem issues and often finds herself overwhelmed and in awe around members of the Kealoha family because of their royal lineage. She knows that, to the rest of the world, the Kealoha family isn't much since Hawaii became a state, but she practically worships them all. She's in love with Noa's cousin, Keoni.


| Marcus Darwin | 24 |
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Marcus met Hiwalani-Noa and her sister, Lilo, three years ago in Athens, Greece at a rally for legalizing Hellenism. The two hit it off immediately and have been best friends ever since. When he and his sister lost everything after their father died and their stepmother took his estate, Hiwalani offered them a place in Lahaina. When they're on the road, he works to help Lilo's band set up. In Lahaina, he works as a waiter at Mano's Place. He's a pretty sweet guy, known as a gentle giant. He's very close to the Kealoha family even though Keokolo hates him. He's also not the brightest star in the sky. He won't tell anyone, though it's often blatantly obvious, but he adores Noa. Unknown to the others, the two of them have been in a bit of a secret friends-with-benefits relationship for the past two months.

Marcus' little sister, she follows her brother wherever he goes. She was depressed when she had found out that their father had left everything to their stepmother, leaving she and Marcus without a penny to their name. Hiwalani-Noa is her best friend and she was excited when Noa called and informed the siblings that her grandfather didn't mind the two of them moving in as long as they could carry their own weight. She's extremely fascinated by their Hawaiian culture and can often be found having long, philosophical conversations with Kona in the early hours of the morning before she goes to work at the studio where she teaches ballet.

Lahela has known Noa since they were children, though they weren't always very close. She's known as the bitch of the group because she's very bold with her actions and words and isn't afraid to step on someone's toes. She and Noa became close after Lahela began comforting her and hanging around her after the fight with Keokolo. She never went on the summer trips with Noa but she was always waiting at the airport whenever her friend got back. She often jokes that she only hangs out with Noa for social status and free booze. She is a bit envious of Noa for everyone loving her. She raises her little brother basically on her own -- With some help from the Kealohas -- and because of her wild and promiscuous ways, is seen a bit as the town slut, outranking even Keokolo in numbers. She's the girl that everyone is wary of letting their kids be around.

Kimo, the baby of the bunch. He's been taking hula lessons from Ailani since he was eight years old with his sister. That's where he met Noa. He's been in love with her since then and has done everything he can to impress her though he's never said anything about it. Everyone knows it but they always tease him about it. He's afraid Noa will reject him so he remains content with friendship, though he does get jealous when he sees her flirting with other people. He knows his sister is jealous of Noa and will tease her about it when nobody is around because of Ipo constantly telling him that he never has a shot with their friend.
