Re: Do you Believe in ghosts?

What's hilarious is I don't believe in ghosts or anything of the unreal sort, and yet I still get spooked by moving shadows and weird noises in the night. Maybe if my dad hadn't started me on a healthy diet of horror movies from the age of five, I wouldn't have stupid little fears left over. But the...

Re: The possibility of a T-Virus, Real!!

Though many ties can be made between the fictional and factorial viruses, in the end only one of them causes powerful, cannibalistic mutation. :\ THANK GOD.

In which game did they mention Ebola as a base strain?

Re: Final Fantasy XIII, not PS3 Exclusive

You apparently do not understand marketing or the negative consequences this will have towards the PS3 and Sony industry. Apparently, nothin'. Please do not assume so much, eh? I didn't mention consequences for Sony. I only mentioned the business decision in so far as Square was concerned (rather o...

Re: Silent Hill 5: Promising or Disastrous?

I'll admit, I haven't played Silent Hill. Though I do like horror games. The plus side, I think, to newer horror games, isn't in that they can add new scary graphics (No matter how much blood and gore they slap onto a monster/zombie/what have you, it's just not scary when its a game. And fake.), so...

Re: Silent Hill 5: Promising or Disastrous?

What is Silent Hill????? Really, friend, this is the internet. You can look up anything in the entire world that you may not be familiar with before you waste numerous question marks and/or make uncertain posts. ...just a PSP release (later a PS2 rerelease) [...] nasty, gritty, gut-churning horror ...

Silent Hill 5: Promising or Disastrous?

I’m concerned! The franchise has been handed over to the American-based Climax Studios. Team Silent was the master of the grotesque, the personally unsettling, and the horrific. Another American company, Double Helix, gave us Silent Hill Origins, and while I understand it was just a PSP release (lat...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII, not PS3 Exclusive

Wise business decision, for Square. (I'm not a biased toward Square, either. In fact, I generally dislike what the company releases.) I find it childish when I see people pitching fits over it. If the announcement was "No sony, hahaha!" that'd be another thing. But "not just for sony&...

Re: Girls for Gaming [No Boys Allowed!]

Leaving sexism debate aside....the point is moot if you actually pick a game to talk about. It was important to me , however. Luckily it was a discussion between myself 'n Mel and it's just about over, now. ;) Anyone looking forward to playing Spore? Or maybe you've already played with the creature...

Re: That's not poetry, it's art!

Heeere we go. The next few upcoming posts will contain my specialty: charcoal!

This was the very first self portrait I ever attempted, charcoal or otherwise:

Re: From the pencil of DJAtomika

[...]and posting them here for all to criticise.[...] Are you "for super serious" when you say you welcome critique? That is fantastic! Rule #1 in posting art to the public is being willing to take critique! You have a +1 in my book, m'friend. It's great that you try to provide visuals fo...

Re: Girls for Gaming [No Boys Allowed!]

I got into an argument with someone in the chat about this last week. I can see how this feeds the stereotype of gaming chicks, but I have to admit I wasn't really thinking of that when I made this thread. After a short discussion amongst Forky, Kohanna and I, we decided that girls can't talk about...

Re: Excuse me?!

Sorry but, I think he did the right thing making a thread about it so the staff of this site would know. Even though he was a bit overly sensitive about the subject, he did not whine. And yeah, I guess this thread is pretty much discussed and done. o__o Actually, it makes more sense to me to contac...

Re: Survival [IC]

Work had become a difficult task that afternoon, while horror stories abound across every television station provided on Sky Digital. While stress was often a great fuel for hard labor, Frederick frequently found his eyes on the screen in his shop. Eventually, a smaller of his hammers was hooked int...

Re: The end is near

Which is what reminded me of that. But no, they are creating black holes, miniatures of course, purposely, to attempt to study them. Craziest shit ever. Crazier stuff has existed. IIt doesn't really "blow the mind," so to speak. 'm both afraid and excited. Anything to give science a +1 gi...

Re: Excuse me?!

The person who posted before me explained it quite well. An Invader Zim universe/Batman universe/Transformers universe already exists . You didn't invent it, though you may be making up details about it. It's a simple description for the forum it names, pointing at the setting and not necessarily th...

Re: The end is near

You know they're making fucking black holes for study in France? How crazy is that? Nooooo. They are studying particle physics (in a sense, simulating the Big Bang) under the Franco-Swiss border, specifically in Geneva, Switzerland. A side-effect is the creation of a tiny black whole, which theoret...

Re: Nighty's Art Gallery

D: I am dying to see this without pixelation. Can you provide a link? I can easily say you are the best artist on this board that I have seen. (And I respect that there is no sign of anime in this. Thank you.)

Re: That's not poetry, it's art!

I am finding several old projects spread across a number of computers in my possession/general vicinity. My very first painting class was also my very first attempt at painting. These are two of the products. Needless to say, I never painted again. One of the most boring compositions I've ever waste...

Re: Girls for Gaming [No Boys Allowed!]

I'm posting based off of the OP post, Dani-darling. As a girl gamer, one of the things I find most unsettling is when other girl gamers require special attention because they are both gamers and girls. The gaming industry is predominantly a male market because males devour the products more readily....
