The Boy Who Lived, became the boy who died. His death marked the end of a world where blood status mattered not, and the ensuing rise of the Dark Lord Voldemort and his loyal Death Eaters. His insanity would carve away at whatever authority was left of the Ministry, and the Wizards who sought to rebel against him no matter the purity of their blood. It became obvious over the course of a decade that Voldemort’s conquest over all if not most of the Wizarding cultures around the world was unavoidable. Wizards would fall under the hypnotizing effect of his potent magic, a tool that was essential in luring young, vulnerable wizards into the ranks of the Death Eaters, then building a new formidable army for something no Wizard not within his small circle of trusted associates could reckon with. While the man himself might have been a psychopath, he knew not all his fears were unfounded, it was inevitable that the Muggles would come to know their world and knowing their numbers far outmatched them he decided to make their presence known and feared.

That day could not be wiped from the memories of even the oldest wizards, seeing Voldemort and his cronies tearing apart the Earth, destruction coursing through London, and other places known for its concentrations of Muggle society. He killed no one, or perhaps he didn’t care if he did or not, but that became his declaration of their existence, he made it so that the average Muggle would taste nothing but fear when they thought of the Wizarding populace. Realizing Wizards could tear their calm lives apart with a simple wave of their wands, naturally, the Muggle governments took this bait as a declaration of war. The Muggle-Magic war began not even a month later, Voldemort would force as many Wizards as he could into conscription, but his true weapon was the young wizards who had taken after the specialized courses he set for numerous, prestigious Wizarding schools. They would learn magic without their wands, knowing that the fact that most Wizards could do nothing without them proved to be one of their greatest weaknesses. The Army of young wizards were known as the The Fraternity, fresh graduates who already showed much more promise than even their parents could anticipate.

With their involvement, and the sheer force of Voldemort’s might, the predicted path of the war was shortened, as the Fraternity found it easy to infiltrate Muggle institutions, and luckily their technology was nowhere near developed to recognize the difference between a Wizard and their fellow Muggle. Countless lives would be taken as magic overwhelmed the Muggle's mostly ineffectual weaponry, and they could not comprehend an enemy like Voldemort, who seemingly evaded death so very easily. As another decade passed, what was left of the Muggle resolve was little, this war tiring, and the Wizards had taken many of them as slaves to their society. Their resources dried up slowly, unable to develop potent technology, and unable to discern between spies and their fellow men. The lines between Wizard and Muggle started to blur, until their defeat became inevitable. It became obvious, those who resisted lived worse lives than those willing to acquiesce to The Dark Lord's demands.

There was no doubt in anybody’s mind that Voldemort felt particularly justified, that his years of scheming, and plotting had paid off. Most of the Muggle Governments, or at least those knowing they had nothing more to lose in this struggle, deemed their states under the control of the Magical Governments within their societies, which in proxy, would have Voldemort guiding them towards the society he truly desired the moment he learned of the Muggles true place; rightfully under the control of those who were born with Magic.

The World would never return to the simplicity it once contained, with the war out of the way, he could focus on what he considered to be his next substantial problem, that of the placement of Muggle-Borns, and the Muggles they originated from. This was a system that took decades to build, a system that would ensure the purity of the Wizarding populace, and the potency of the magic within them. While many knew there was no real proof that there was a difference between the magic levels of different blood types, as Voldemort himself was proof of this, no one would dare say different in the face of their Lord. He had earned it after all, even if there were small groups of Muggles who fiercely resisted his efforts in smaller countries who did not coincide with the terms of surrender, and the terrorists groups who often times used their bodies as weapons against the new emergent society. The Dark Lord had secured his domination over the world, Muggle and Wizard alike would know only the Dark Lord for decades to come.

    PURUS SANGUINS || THE SANGUINE
    The Dark Lord would group blood status with economic prosperity. The Pure Blood’s inhabit the top of society as heirs of nobility. They are known as Purus Sanguins, or the Sanguine. Most Pure Bloods are at least within this social group, any others would only be traitors or unfortunate in usage of their funds. Purus members are notoriously known for having the ability to flounder established laws and decrees as they tend to hold supreme privilege even as a Minority group in the population. They often times own Slaves from the Servus class, and treat them much like the House Elves from long ago. It is well known to many that Pure Bloods also hold privileges over magical education, most schools are tailored towards their class, and they are the only class allowed to use Dark Magic without being involved in law enforcement or being instructed to by an authority figure. They are also able to openly punish their slaves if they want. Pure Blood families are usually grouped as Houses, and each Pure Blood Witch or Wizard carries the surname of their house as a badge of honor. The Sanguine are liable to lose their caste if they marry someone of a lower blood status, or are caught as traitors.

    INFERUS || THE MENIAL CLASS
    Beneath the Pure Bloods are Half-Bloods, who mainly occupy the middle class. While many of the Pure Bloods would group them with the Muggle Blooded population, Lord Voldemort felt it was better to distinguish at least one other class above that of the Muggles/Muggle Blooded and their ilk. Likely it was thought it was better to have a least some magical ancestry than barely any at all, even then there are some Muggles who consist this class, although they do not have any of the same privileges as those with magic in their blood. This middle class would be known as the Inferus, short for Inferior, in other words, the Menial Class. The middle class is mainly a mix of Pure Blood and Half Blood, heritage, certain Pure Bloods exist within this class under the pretense that they have no House to claim, and therefore no claim to wealth. Most Menials are able to live comfortable lives, but still clearly live under the oppressive gaze of the Sanguine.

    Most will never break into the Noble class above, unless they can confirm their Pure Blood ancestry or marry an individual who was born to a House of some kind. In some twisted sense, a Servile might have more potential in doing so than any Menial. Menials can indeed own Servile though they are limited to a number of 5 in comparison to the unlimited number the Nobles are allowed. The Menials often adopt Servus at a young age and hope to raise them away from the ires of slavery, and establish a better life for them if possible. However, this is a practice that only occurs in areas with more lax legislation regarding the classes, in some places, Menial can be imprisoned for adopting Servile. Most of those in the middle class, choose professions in law enforcement hoping to be noticed for their abilities, and possibly chosen as the ever revered Death Eaters, as those who join their ranks are automatically exempt from the Societal Order, and given authority over all. Much like Pure Bloods they can be displaced from their individual class for traitorous acts, although mating with others of lower blood status is not nearly as guarded as it is in the Pure Blood class. Regardless, of the restrictions placed on this caste, it’s clear, most would rather live a life of relative comfort than one filled with endless servitude.

    SERVUS || THE SERVILE CLASS
    Finally, there is the Servus, or Servile class. Distinguished by its divisions, this class consists of all blood types, although mainly Muggles and Muggle Bloods make up their ranks. The other blood types are more than likely descendants of traitors, or even newly made traitors. While Traitors are typically taken to prisons like Azkaban, some have the choice of being accepted into society as a Servile but only under the condition of them and the entirety of their families becoming slaves as payment for betrayal. In the beginning, most of the Servile class consisted of those who had helped Harry Potter during the Second Wizarding War, though now it consists of the families who acted against the Dark Order during the Muggle-Magic War, or as known to Muggles; World War 3. They and their families would know servitude for decades, and later anyone else who was apprehended by the Death Eaters, and choose Servile as an escape from Azkaban and the feared Dementors. Serviles are often adorned with permanent tattoos or removable collars from their masters in order to keep them obedient, or for tracking purposes. The tattoo can actually harm the Servile if imbued with magic, their master can use this to cause immense pain similar to that of a Crucio to the slave with a tap of their wand.

    The divisions in the Servile Class include Drudges, Doxies, and Birthers, and above all of these Apprentices. Drudges are simply your average slaves, similar to how Elves were used long ago, they are plentiful, although most Drudges are Male, and usually of little education to keep them subjugated. Doxies are Servile who offer more carnal services to the Sanguine or even Menial class, they are taken by the age of 18 into families of prestige, and chosen based on their physical attributes, their level of attractiveness is highly sought after, as some Pure Bloods wished to have maids or butlers who offered something beyond your typical Drudge. However, it is well know that Doxies are often seen as Prostitutes or Concubines, used as toys for those of a higher status regardless of gender, and often sold if one sees fit, most though seemed to find comfortable lives, so long as they served their masters.

    Birthers, while similar to Doxies, are composed entirely of females. They are women selected by Pure Blood families to mate with available suitors, rigorous testing is done to determine blood purity before a Birther Oath is taken. Much like Doxies they avoid the servile life once they are able to produce viable offspring. They stay with their families for life, as long as they continue to produce heirs to continue their master's lines, and are even given some protections not granted to Doxies or Drudges.

    Lastly, we have the Apprentice, this class requires a certain level of acumen and power to attain. One must show significant magical prowess to even be considered an Apprentice, as this class is actually not officially ordained by any magical government. It is illegal for Muggle blooded or traitor citizens to wield magic much less attend wizarding school, but if one showed enough magical prowess they could be taken in by a Pure Blood or Half Blood family, have their records faked, and attend wizarding schools in hopes that they can grow to be successful while at the same time avoiding the scrutiny of the Congress of Magic. They could even free their families in secret, but the process of becoming an Apprentice is risky, and rife with betrayal should a Servile not reach their potential and their investor is not satisfied with their progress. Some of them are ratted out as traitors and sent to prisons like Azkaban, but even then, to escape the confines of the Servile system anyone would risk this uncertainty.

    [NOTE: Most Servus characters in this RP will not be apart of this system, since they attend Remington. Remington makes it so Servus students become wards of the state under the school, and so they live on campus year round, only visiting their families for a few weeks in the Summer before returning. They cannot return to their old lives or they risk being sent to Azkaban, as their attendance and even use of magic is highly illegal. Regardless, Remington serves as one of the few institutions willing to take this risk. Your character could also be a Servus adopted by a Pure Blood or Half Blood Family, or an Apprentice taken in by one of these families. I’ll allow a diverse amount of discretion in how people choose to make their character a Servus, just keep in mind that this is the system in which some of them are subjugated, and your character just happened to be lucky enough to avoid it.]

    THE MUNDANES
    While perhaps not an official class, as most do not think or see Mundanes (also known as Muggles in Britian) as being worthy of mention, the Mundanes are simply second class citizens, many of them actually live similarly to how they once did under their own governments, although not with nearly the same prosperity in the sense that most Mundanes could not possibly hope to be anything other than their own class unless they became a celebrity of some kind. Regardless, they can still live relatively comfortable lives. This level of comfort is provided under the reasoning of keeping them docile, even under a segregationist society, where better facilities and resources are available to Wizards than most Mundanes alive. There seems to be an undercurrent of fear, and resentment towards the Wizards but too many Mundanes are apprehensive of magic to do much of anything that wouldn’t be considered traitorous, as most traitor Mundanes are due for prison or slavery and not usually given a choice. In any case the war has sealed in them the idea that the Wizards are unstoppable this is perhaps Voldemort’s final sign of victory.

    THE BEAST CLASS
    There is also the Beast class, as many Beasts seemed to help the Dark Lord during the Wizarding war, they are afforded the protection of avoiding being cast into the Servile class, although it is obvious to anyone that they will never reach true acceptance with Pure Bloods, as most are turned down from their schools, and have to be self taught, as well as being regarded as inferior, and the barrier to nobility being a dream for most. Most ‘Beasts’ are mixed with Wizarding or Muggle blood, it is difficult for blood tests to differentiate between either so they are judged with a neutral lense in comparison to others.

    EDUCATION AMONG THE CASTES
    As a final note, Wizarding schools are typically reserved for all Pure Bloods, and some Half Bloods, the especially prestigious schools are known for picking only Pure Bloods as apart of their populations. Muggle-Bloods are entirely forbidden from using magic, and are punished to the highest extent of the law for ‘stealing’ magic. Furthermore, more and more wizards having picked up on using magic with nothing but their hands, a legacy of The Fraternity and many forms of Dark Magic has been unbanned by Magical governments under Voldemort's mandate.

    Pure Bloods, and Half Bloods with magical prowess are taken into mandatory preparatory schools to prepare for their training at a proper magical institution, they attend these pre-schools usually until the age of 11 or 12 until being accepted into the system. Some Magical Institutions actually have preparatory programs in place like Remington to make the transition easier, although this has also made saving Servile students also quite easy. Magic has advanced farther than what one might be used to, and whether or not these forms of magic are evil or not, relies entirely on the perspective of the Caster, as the Ministry and Congress of magic, often had inane restrictions on magic far before Voldemort's reign. Wizards under 17 are not restricted from using magic outside of school grounds, or even using dark magic to harm Muggles or others, but Light Magic is looked at with heavy disdain and most institution seeks to wean their students on dark arts studies mandated by the Dark Lord’s World Order

    Servile have institutions of their own which simply exist to teach them what they should expect once placed into one of the divisions, one can think of them as fosters homes, looking to ease the transition for the younger ones.

ORGANIZATIONS

Image
Image
The Malfericarum, the members of this organization are called the Maleficar. This is the only group that actively and politically resists the sanctions brought on by Voldemort's New Order. Seeing as how the Dark Lord's rule is somewhat lessened in the Americas, the Maleficarum have been given the allowance to express their political views. It is often seen as a liberal group seeking to obtain equal rights for all regardless of their magical lineage. Many are not aware of the the undercurrent of Resistance within the group, while not as extreme as the Covenant, there exists a small group of wizard and witches who use espionage and other more nefarious schemes in order to achieve their goal of a free government. Most except the most coveted members are not aware of the secrets of the Maleficarum.

Image

The Fraternity and the Death Eaters work hand in hand to suppress resistance to the New World Order, they are the right hand of Voldemort, and typically work under secretive means. The Fraternity are raised from childhood to eventually become Death Eaters that work under the Dark Lord. Although, Death Eaters continue to hide their identity in order to conduct covert operations. After Fraternity members reach a certain age they are tested to see if they truly belong in the ranks of the Death Eaters.

Most people wrongly say "The blood of the womb is thicker than water." but in actually they are mis-quoting the bigger message. "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb", and so this group came into existence under the banner of blood solidarity. The Covenant is known to the larger world as a terrorist group, whose plots have targeted countless innocents under the banner of returning the world to it's previous state, while giving greater rights to beings like supernaturals and Mundanes. The Covenant has a strict policy regarding any Witch or Wizard joining, very few are within their ranks, as the leaders of said group have a general distrust of the magical populace due to their place of privilege and the threat of espionage. While witches and wizards can join, this is usually strictly limited to those in the Servus class, or Supernaturals who have effectively hidden their status and integrated into the Dark Lord's society with ease. Supernaturals who join this cause are often under the premise that the promised rewards Voldemort had proposed for them during the wars and the subsequent years after have failed to become a reality, and they have become like the Servus, disenfranchised, and kept from the Pure Blood class. Some of them have been able to masquerade, but most are not considered 'pure' enough to join.

Image
Image

MACUSA continues to exist as a governing power over both the magical and Mundane populace, it is one of the few places where Wizards are forced to work with Mundanes and accommodate for both populations. It is a complex system to work under the tenets set by the Dark Lord, as well as for the supposed greater good of the populace. The have their own set of enforcers known as The Magical Bureau of Investigation, or the MBI, members of the MBI are known simply as Agents.
