PLACES OF IMPORTANCE


Major Kingdoms


Faycoast- Faycoast is a twin city of Torinthia, and is ruled by Rigold, sibling to the King of Torinthia. This city is primarily human, however on occasion elves and dwarves take up residence here. The city is broken down into districts, which include- Palace and Courtyard, Marketplace, Slums, Middle Class Homes, High Society District, ect. Faycoast’s most notable feature is the river that runs throughout the capital, and the city spends much time in military operations.

Torinthia- Torinthia is a twin city of Faycoast, and is ruled by Asirin the 4th, sibling to the King of Torinthia. This city is primarily human, however on occasion elves and dwarves take up residence here. The city is broken down into districts, as explained above. Torinthia has a very balanced caste system, relying on religion and culture to improve citizen’s overall happiness, and eventually improving welfare.

Vwaygar- Dwarves take residency in the comfort of their mine home in the Vwaygar Mountains. In particular, the smith caste is famous for creating some of the most elegant and sturdy pieces of armor and weaponry. Vwaygar is also famous for its stone working capabilities, spending more time creating the grand buildings scattered throughout the mountains rather than mining.

Tirithia- Tirithia is an beautiful elvish kingdom built carefully within the northern forests, likely among the oldest civilizations in Rithoreyn. Tirithia has managed to create narrow trade agreements with human society, even forswearing an alliance with Faycoast in the future possibilities of war. Tirithia, however, is at war with itself. Towards the middle of the 4th Age the elves divided into two groups: The Imperials and the Audwai, and have been waring for centuries. The battles now, however, have slowed dramatically. See below for more details.




Villages and Other Small Areas


Runeswept– A large village that is located towards the south of Rithoreyn.

Armsworth– A small but notable village just south of Faycoast.

Arcadium University–This school is a celebrated place for mages and scholars of all type to come to study. They offer comfortable living conditions, and invite men and women from all over the world to join them in scholarly efforts. It is truly a privilege to study here.

Audwai Camps-Audwai, otherwise known as Tribal Elves, live in the small but notable encampments with the rest of their tribe.

Airithia Underground Entrance- Airithia is a large city dug out underneath ground, hidden in the Vwaygar mountains. The only source for illumination are glowing blue stones which are applied in various methods throughout the underground tunnels.

Reaver Island- These winged folk are otherwise known as Atavians, and are sometimes mistaken for ‘angels’. Secluding themselves from the rest of the world, they live on the Island of the Reavers to the south east, in a city of tall towers that are said to reach the clouds. While the Atavians hide, no other race has ever stepped foot on their island, and are rare to be seen anywhere else in Firithia.


Ruined Village-People avoid the ruined village, most specifically for the taint that seems to surround the area. The soil is unfertile, and makes it impossible to farm or grow livestock on, therefore making it useless and abandoned.

RACES

Playable

Humans- Humans are the most adaptable of any race, able to live in any climate, can be any class, and perform tasks where others might fail. Other races tend to underestimate the human. Their appearance, skin color, height, and weight differ to any one being. They live up to 100 years.


Dwarves- Dwarves are stout and hardy mountain dwellers, able to withstand even the coldest of climates. Their classes are usually melee because of their strong arms and robust bodies. Some though can find ways to perform bits of magic, usually ice. Dwarves normally stand at around 4 feet in height, and live up to 400 years.


Imperial Elves- Elves are the fairest of any race, wise and intelligent. Their classes differ between rangers, druids, swordsmen, or assassins. Elves tend to keep to themselves; rarely allowing others to pass through their kingdoms or near neighbouring woods, and is just as uncommon for them to venture out of their own cities. This race can live up to 1500 years or so.

Imperial Elves are at a stand-still war with the Audwai Elves, however the cause is not completely understood. So far they have been unable to eradicate the threat because of political issues and carefully guarded and hidden camps, even with the promise of human support. (a decision made in order to keep trade agreements.)


Tribal Elves- Tribal Elves, or otherwise known as Audwai Elves, are a split group from the Imperial Elves, and now find themselves at war. The cause of the war that has been ongoing for centuries now, however, is not completely understood. What is clear is that Imperial Elves wish to completely eradicate the Audwai, but carefully guarded camps and political issues prove the task impossible so far.

The human’s were forced by the Imperial Elves to attack a third encampment, and it was completely destroyed. Unable to launch any kind of formal attack, the Audwai frequently attack caravan of supplies and other important goods, and are a common dislike to humans and Imperial Elves. The Tribal Elves have two notable encampments for the moment.

The Audwai are easily identified by tattoo’s that are commonly printed across their face, and the rest of their body. Piercings are not uncommon. They live up to 1200 years, and are good at both magic and using weaponry.


Atavians- Atavians are easily compared to angels, (though it is inaccurate), as they have long feathered wings emerging from their backs. These creatures almost never make contact with other beings, therefore are left alone and hidden on their island, although others are completely aware of their existence. Atavians are an incredibly righteous race, and tend to pursue the art of magic. Melee fighters of this race are rare to find as they are not particularly strong, though this is not to say that there are not any. Atavians live up to 800 years.


Aerials-Aerials are a race completely unintroduced to the world. This is because the race lives underground in almost complete darkness. Aerials appear much like a human, but have glowing eyes of unusual shades. Aerials have never ventured above ground until now, their original origins completely shrouded with mystery.

These earth dwellers have a lethal susceptibility to solar light, however this only occurs when their eyes are directly exposed to sunlight. (It is because the optical network is deeply embedded within the neural system.) To avoid death, Aerials wear specially protected masks that cover the eyes, which provide a shield from the sun but only allow Aerials to see in black and white. When the mask is removed, they can see in colour. In complete darkness, they can see as if it was day, and are not affected by the light from fire or moon. Aerial’s can expose their skin to sunlight, but it is uncomfortable, sometimes painful.

Aerials are great as blending in with shadows, and move twice as fast as the average human can. Their skin ranges from pale to a soft blue, affected by the glowing stones they use in their civilization. They make excellent assassins, and once in a while a good mage. Aerials live around 175 years.

Weaponry: First and foremost, Nathiria is a melee fighter. The elvish woman relies on precise and quick strikes, rather than brute force to fell opponents. Therefore, Nathiria uses a double bladed sword, having the ability to wield it with deadly force. Length wise, it is roughly the same height as she is. The sword is broken up into three parts, each third being equal length. The handle is made up of silver steel, wrapped in smooth reddish-brown leather. The blades are balanced equally, making for an excellent weapon.

Magic: Nathiria is a novice at using life draining spells to benefit her combat. To increase both her speed and battle prowess, she can use a small assortment of spells to drain energy from an ally. These spells can only be used on a friendly target, so that Nathiria acts as a leech. Draining too much energy will rend an ally unconscious. Deeper levels of these spells are more potent, but also deadly.

As almost all tribal elves do, Nathiria has a facial tattoo underneath her left eye, as well as similar one running down her spine, which stops at the hip. She stands at 5’5”. Both of her pointed ears are lined with 3 clean piercings on each side.

Obviously, the clothing pictured above would not be sufficient for the heat of battle. Instead, she wears a finely fitted 'dress' that reaches down to a little less than half the upper leg. The armour is made up of layered silver scales, which would remind you of dragon skin. This covers up to the base of the neck line, however it has no sleeves, leaving both her shoulders, and about half of her collar bone exposed on each side. To make up for this, Nathiria wears silver plate pauldrons protecting the shoulders and 5 inches or so down the arm. A light piece of hardened leather is attached around the hips: it begins from the middle of each thigh, covering the back, but has a break in the front exposing the scaled armour which it is even in length with.

Lastly, the elf bears silver plate gloves, which stops just before the elbow so that her joints can bend easily. These are paired along with matching plated boots, which once again stop just before the knee. The part that covers the foot has several breaks in it so she can run and move easily.

Personality: Nathiria is hard-headed and defiant, rather angry at the rest of the world for the ‘disgraces’ both her and her people have suffered. This makes Nathiria slow trusting, and fiercely loyal to her tribe. However, once the hard exterior wears off, Nathiria can be quite tolerable.

Back story: Nathiria was among the first few generations to be born into the life of a Tribe Elf. Imperial Elves consider this race false, and are quick to dismiss any relations to the people. Throughout a life of trickery, rivalry, and harsh living, it has made a strong but stubborn warrior.

Nathiria’s tribe often relocates. This makes them difficult to find, and even harder to eradicate. These camps often split and regroup with other tribes, which used to make 3 in total. Forced by the Imperials, the humans wiped out the third tribe right after a regrouping, meaning that the elf lost a good portion of closely-knit friends, creating a deep hatred for other races. In her opinion, it was them against the world.

It was shortly after the massacre that she met Vlade, an older elf who had lost his family. In a way, he adopted Nathiria and looked after her, especially because she was very likely to run and get into trouble. As adults, Vlade still keeps Nathiria level-headed.

Since then, she has always been the first to volunteer when it came to sabotage missions or ambushing small parties of important people.

Extra:Nathiria keeps a small journal, written in elvish recording inner thoughts and personal experiences.

Race: Tribal Elf

Gender: Male

Weaponry: Vlade uses a long black staff, being adept at melee range fighting, but isn’t his strong suit, therefore he wouldn’t last long in close combat.

Magic: Vlade’s strong suit is dark magic, more specifically spells that work using slowing decay effects, as well as spells that can crush or suck life from victims. In an attempt to tech Nienna the same techniques, she actually morphed them to be used on allies. However, Vlade’s spells work on all opponents, but do not benefit him. Hostile spells only.

Vlade has a small facial tattoo on his forehead, and stands about 5’10”.


Personality:Vlade is rather quiet and reserved. He only speaks when he needs to, and never to anyone outside of the tribe. A bit more understanding than Nathiria, he too has a deep distrust for the outside world. He is more content to live a quiet life rather than live a life of adventure.

Back story: Like stated above, the Audwai often regroup and switch places within tribes. As a young boy, he was split apart from his parents for his own safety, and was meant to meet them again in a few months time. Shortly after, however, his family was wiped out entirely. The small community of elves took turns to care for him until he was of age. In his youth, he met Nathiria, finding her bull-headedness interesting. After months of relentless teasing, he eventually came to watch over her.

Vlade only joins any type of task when Nathiria signs up to. Most times, he attempts to talk her out of it. With losing so much, Vlade never festered the hate in his heart many of his tribe members did, even as angry as he was.

He believes that the war could have been avoided, and if peace negotiations were ever possible, he would begin them in a heartbeat.

Zenatsu carry's a rugged steel scythe. From cleaning blades of grass to cleaning blood, Zen rarely uses the scythe as a weapon of choice unless the situation calls. No matter how odd of a weapon he wields, none will question his ability to use it effectively in combat
-Magic-
Zenatsu possess a number of supporting powers, He focuses on these abilities as his weapon is only for last measures. Zenatsu Can not only heal, but supply his allies with limited divine empowerment over a brief period of time and a magical barrier that deflects harmful magical projectiles

Zenatsu rubs off in first impressions as a silent asshole. However, anyone who gets the unlucky pleasures of dealing with him, quickly find out the exact opposite Zenatsu, by his own preference and racial alignment, is a very kind individual. With his heart of gold, Zenatsu strives to protect those who he calls a friend, although he dose tend to not mingle with a strangers affair.
-Back story-
]Zenatsu had the desire to explore, from an infant to a matured adult he always had the desire to broaden his horizon. When the time came for him to take flight Zenatsu took a long time to finally decide to leave the home and comfort of his island. Zen, among others, took not flight, but sea travel to the side of the globe where very few Atavians never seek to travel. Upon reaching the border of Rithoreyn many Atavian immigrants settle int he village of Runeswept. From there many venture off upon their own, or server as traders for the Atavian homestead on the isle of Reavers. Zenatsu took his aimless goal to build himself the familiarity with the new land, and upon this task he took up a job as a farm-hand, where he mainly harvested crops during harvesting seasons, which is how he came to know the scythe. What helped him was that also he is the son of a farmer upon his homestead, so this knowledge helped him as well as the farmer paying him. After many seasons, and allowing Zenatsu to become used to his new surroundings, Zenatsu again wished to broden his surroundings, and progressed himself further in the land... keeping the scythe the farmer allowed him to use, Zenatsu aimed for the human city of Faycoast where he landed in Armsworth and soon started to encounter culture shock. Where Runeswept had a small Atavian community to help Zenatsu along, This large city didn't have another winged soul in the eyes of Zen. It scared him, a whole lot, to be now left alone in a city of strange people giving you strange looks. This is how he developed his social encounters, through silent speech, people understood him, so he never bothered to talk.

Race: Tribal Elf

Weaponry: A rather boring fair of weapons, Airn's only two tools of war are a kukri knife and a self-enchanted longbow. The longbow which was aptly named Helvaras or Breaker, was enchanted with the durability of steel, shaft and string all. The elven-forged dagger is a thin forged piece with a wide body ending in a sharp edge, giving it a leaf-like appearance.
Magic: An oddity of elven magic, Airn was born with the power of geomancy. That is to say, he can manipulate earth. He isn't quite adept at it's use, but the elf can create fairly complex objects. For some reason his body is physically taxed when creating anything larger than a five by five by five foot cube of earth, so Airn assumes that this is his limit.

Appearance: Image
Besides the enchanted fair, Airn's clothing consists of dun-colored articles that blend well with natural surroundings. On his torso is a short vest with a zipper going down the middle of a pale green color, with light brown gloves covering his hands. His pants are a light brown pair of breeches that adhere to his form snuggly, and below that are a pair of dark brown boots of little design aside from inscribed leaves. Al along with an orange sash and a dark green forest cloak..

Personality: In a word...stupid. Airn is easily one of the dumbest smart people you'll ever meet. He's an eloquent speaker most of the time and has a great amount of knowledge regarding beasts, but gods can he be dense. Sarcasm and subtlety are wasted on this young elf sadly. Oddly enough, the young Audwai has a gift for devising strategies. He is a mediocre fighter, and most days Airn would prefer to lie on the grass with a lover rather than fight an oncoming undead horde.
Back story: Airn was born in an Audwai village that was hidden within the forests of Tirithia. As an infant, barely months after birth the village was discovered and sacked by Imperial elves. His parents and several huntsmen managed to escape and fled to the west, to the Audwai camps...or at least they tried to. The band was tracked by the elven raiders and killed a scant mile from the camps. One of the attacking Imperial elves however, chose to spare the baby in an act of kindness. The child was given off to a human midwife that travelled the caravan roads, and the child was eventually brought to live with the woman in her home; Armsworth. The midwife grew found of the inquisitive young thing quite quickly and named the Tribal Elf Airn. Without the markings traditionally found on his people, Airn grew up in a predominently human society with grudging acceptance. With time, others grew out of blatant racism to accept the boy. Of course, that wasn't to say that Audwai attacks weren't met with force. Quite the contrary actually, as Airn fought alongside his fellow townsmen to repel the invaders. By adulthood, Airn was a full fledged citizen of Armsworth. He became a hunter, one who gathered meats and tanned hides for his adoptive mother's shop, and once it was discovered that the boy could fight, a member of the militia. At this point in time the Audwai lad is having a grand time of just lying on the hillside staring at the clouds.

Weaponry: Shortsword and Buckler
Magic: Ashtan can cast 4 different spells thanks to the tattoos on his arm with just a word.
Fiery Blade- Enhances the blade to radiate heat scorching flesh when slashed
Static Blade- Enhances the blade to carry a charge shocking those who meet the blade
Mage Shield- Reinforces Ashtans buckler to withstand attacks that would normally break it.
Shellshock- For an instant Ashtan radiates a shockwave of sound stunning those close by(Within 4 feet)

Personality: Ashtan hold a cheerful side no matter who he speaks and is never seen without his trademark small grin. Occasionally at times he would drift off and earned himself a status for being easily distracted. He is wholeheartedly disliked by the rest of the nobles for his combination of laziness(Due to his secret missions) and former family status. In battle Ashtan keeps a cool head about him combining his spells and steel for maximum potency.

Back story: Ashtan Elexan was part of a dying noble family known for their training in both spells and blades in the kingdom of Faycoast. In the recent past they were infamous for their training of Spellblades, lightly armored warriors who trained to enhance their swordplay with magic. The idea was good, the training was hard, and their soldiers soon were hailed as the perfect soldiers during training drills. The Elexans were promoted to the caste for their ingenious idea, but it soon proved wrong when their trained soldiers participated in actual combat. Many had forgotten the spells that made them so mighty as soldier and became merely lesser trained swordsmens compared to their purely physical types. Those who did eventually hung back due to their fear of death and eventually fell due to their lack of magical or physical protection.

Spellswords were merely just adapt in everything but never truly experts, and as they began to fall so did the Elexan family as slander dragged them down into the mud they once lived. Ashtan, adopted son of Joner Elexan, was taken in and used as a last attempt in creating the spellsword everyone wanted. What happened after that, is a secret kept among the King and Ashtan. Nevertheless the Elexan family disappeared and Ashtan was granted amnesty for reasons unknown. He now resides as the one of the kings scouts and is generally kept under wraps despite the number of operations he's accomplished.

Extra: Arcane symbols and writing are tattooed onto his left forearm and protected by his buckler. A magic circle is tattooed on his right palm as an outlet for the magic and his back hold a larger circle decorated with symbols. (I'll explain how Ashtan is able to cast spells during a later time.)

Age: She appears to be 19 years old, although she's actually a 68 year old Aeriel. :)
Gender: Female

Race: Aeriel

Weaponry: Euphori carries a large staff with a glowing orb of whispy aura at its center. The outer edges spiral outwards as pointy blades and are sharp as hell. Her entire staff is shrouded in light, blue energy that is cool at touch and intangible as air. Although the blue light signifies her spiritual energy, her weapon is merely a blunt trauma weapon given to her as a heirloom by her great grandfather and is mainly used for bashing heads. Euphori's agility and speed allows her to throw in more hits while having less strength than usual. Brutality is not her way.

Magic: Euphori was raised to be a cunning assassin, although she didn't have much talent for it. Her magic proved hazardous to all and completely useless when it came to offense and defense. Even though she is absolutely atrocious at fighting, Euphori's only talent is the art of healing.. which is most ironic and unusual for Aeriels. She can heal and purify poisons, wounds, and fatal injuries. The one thing she cannot conquer is death.

Appearance: Image

Personality: Even if her speed is incredible, Euphori is known as a klutz or a ditz and can be found tripping over complete nothingness or the tiniest of pebbles. It takes her a while to register information into her mind and others who know her often view her slowness as a way of acting obnoxious and confident; Although, she is anything but. Strangers will often look at her and find a graceful, young girl with a regal air about her.

Euphori has no confidence in her abilities and tends to avoid fighting at all costs due to her talent of blowing things up with her magic. Besides offensive magic, she enjoys healing others and wishes to be known throughout the lands as a powerful healer.

Back story: Like most of her kind, Euphori comes from deep below the world of the air, living in her own enclosed shelter. With her 7 elder brothers, she was trained in the arts of killing and assassination, a trend that was passed down from generation to generation in her family. Unlike her siblings, she deemed an impossible assassin and quickly learned she had an affinity for healing others rather than pointlessly hurting them. As if she wasn't odd enough with her lack of gracefulness and odd shade of eye color.

Her family members grew impatient and gave up on her; They had 7 other children to perfect. With that, Euphori was able to wander freely and often visited the upper world as an unknown deity, practicing the healing arts and healing passing travelers, mercenaries, the elderly, women, and anyone who needed a cure.

Extra: Euphori is 6"2 and towers over most creatures.

Race: Human

Weaponry: Specializes in finesse based combat, often using his opponents own weight and aggression against them. He rarely draws his sword as he rarely meets an opponent that would call for it. Carries a Long sword similar to the Odachi. The blade itself is pure white with blue carving running along it. The hilt is blue with white stripes and the guard is in the shape on a compact white swan with blue eyes. The sheath is pure white and the sword is roughly five feet from end to end. The name of the sword is Starlight.
Magic: Able to infuse his blade with his raw mana to unleash devastating blows.

6'3" and 175 pounds, Rev has an athletic, slender build. He has blonde hair and blue eyes with his left ear being pierced. Despite this he is considerably strong and fast. He tends to wear a long white jacket that goes just past the knees with a turned up collar. Underneath is a long sleeve blue shirt and blue fingerless grip gloves. He wears white leather pants with steel greaves and boots painted blue.

Personality: Rev is considerably relaxed and playful, often being misjudged for arrogance. He tries to avoid physical confrontation with others due to him viewing it as something that could "dirty his jacket". He's rarely seen without a smile and tries to enjoy himself whenever possible.
Back story: Rev was left on the doorstep to a chapel in Armsworth without any identification or possessions. The priest there named him Rowland and decided to bring him up within the walls of the Chapel. This lasted all of thirteen years before he ran away and changed his name to Chris. He was on his own for awhile until a drifter picked him up. Admiring the boy's spirit he taught him swordplay while they moved from spot to spot, often training until Chris' hands were numb with pain. The man heard of Chris's story and how he had changed his name a few times. The drifter thought Chris was to plain and that he needed something more unique, calling him Faith by the next day. Faith carried that name for six years, until he was nineteen to be exact.
The drifter died that year due to the cold being too unbearable at his age. The only thing he had left was a nameless sword the drifter carried with him, a sword Faith later named Starlight. Faith did not falter or grow angry, but merely kept on doing what he had been doing for the last six years, drifting. He changed his name to Van two years later. It was at this time he started using titles, the first being Steel Van. He switched from being a drifter to being a sword for higher based in Runeswept. He didn't like the work, but the pay was great and he began being more open around other people. He changed his name one more time to Swan after getting the idea from the unique guard on his sword. After three years he changed it once more and hopefully the last time to Rev.He's been Rev for a year now and he continues to try and find out what purpose he has in life.
All anyone wants is a normal life and a cool car... most people settle for the car.

Weaponry: spear, a two-handed sword, a pair of daggers, shield and crossbow

Personality: mostly quiet, enjoys his cups and gambling

Back story: Eric was born in the slums of Torinthia, the son of a whore. For most of his youth, he ran with a gang, mostly as muscle after it was proven time and again that he was no good at thieving or sneaking. When he was roughly sixteen, he got roaring drunk one night and fell asleep in a wagon. When he came too the next afternoon, the wagon was far away from his hometown and heading for Faycoast as part of a merchant caravan. Unable to get back by himself, he grudgingly accepted the merchant’s offer to come along as a guard and was handed a spear. One year later, he was back in Torinthia, more coins in his purse then ever before and his old gang thinking him dead. Weighing the options, he used the coin to buy a quilted shirt, a dagger and signed on with the merchant. For the past twenty-five years, that’s what he’s been doing, guarding merchants has they’ve travelled the lands and fighting the bandits or the tribal elves that threaten them, gathering weapons and armour as he went.

Hey all.

First Name: Drake.
Last Name: Haloway.
Age: 22.
Gender: Male.

Race: Human.

Weaponry: A sword held in one hand and a heater shield. Drac also uses a hookshot that can be extended and retracted at high speed with a decent pulling force, it has a claw at the end and a range of up to a meter.
Magic: None.

Personality: Drake is adventurous and hot-headed when it comes to taking risks, often forgetting about any possible dangers intill he's confronted with them. Around other people he is pretty laid back, he dosnt really like conflict and it quite open to everyone.

Back story: Drake was born in to a family of hunters in Runeswept and was brought up to track and kill animals. But as he grew so did his displeasure with the family proffesion, he didnt want to be a hunter but a great adventurer and explorer much like the ones that often passed through the village.

At the age of 13 Drake decided to follow his dream by -through a rather uncanny chain of events- befriending an old man who was once a member of the royal guard of Faycoast. In secret Drake was given sword fighting lessons and told stories by the old man up intill his death when Drake was 19.
Old enought to do as he pleased Drake revealed to his parents that the life of a hunter wasnt for him and that he was to leave, the village having nothing to offer the adventurer that he was.

So, taking some supplies along with the sword and shield the old man had left him Drake set off in search of adventure.

Extra: Drake is quite good a tracking and knows his way around a bow but never uses one.

Weaponry: A long bastard sword etched with basic runes which protect it from the elements as well as keeping the blade perpetually sharp. In addition to this he keeps on his person several knives, primarily meant for skinning animals, and a hatchet, which is more a tool than a weapon.

Magic: Solomon himself has no magical talent or abilities, his only source of magic are the runes on his armour and sword.

Appearance: With gaunt features and sunken eyes, coupled with the look of someone who has seen too much of death, Solomon is a morbid figure. His armor is plain but well crafted, and incorporates a number of runes which help minimise the effect of hostile spells in addition to providing increased resistance to mundane attacks.

Personality: Solomon is a bitter man, he has lived a hard life, and with no end to the misery in sight his demeanour and overall attitude towards other suffers as a result. He tries his best to keep his ill feelings to himself, but it is a constant battle and it doesn’t take a mind reader to tell that any outward show of cheer or goodwill is forced.

Back story: Born as an orphan, Solomon quickly learned to hate the constricting and bleak lifestyle. So when he was just six years of age he ran off and joined a local mercenary band. His job back then was to loot the dead for valuables which he would then turn over to the mercenary leader, whoever that may be at the time as mercenaries tended to go through shifts in leadership quite regularly. Due to this rash decision, the young boy’s earliest memories are not playing outside with friends, or running through the fields, they are of digging through the pockets of bloodied corpses in a search of coin. Despite his job of looting corpses Solomon didn't take up the mantle of mercenary proper until he was nine, when he finally became old enough to competently wield a sword and take an active role in the fighting. Working as a mercenary Solomon travelled all over Rithoreyn, making a good deal of gold in the process, and spilling a great deal of blood. The life of a mercenary and soldier is all Solomon has ever known, it is his sole purpose. He is so single minded in this that it has excluded all other avenues of life, Solomon cannot read or write, he has no interest in the arts, or in starting a family, he is only a soldier. He knows that his purpose is to fight, kill and one day die on the battlefield.

But after twenty-one years of this lifestyle, Solomon has started to grow weary of death. With the faces of those he has killed, both the innocent and the guilty, haunting his dreams, Solomon has set out to find a new purpose. A purpose that will hopefully bring a sense of closure to him, help him come to terms with his sinful lifestyle. A purpose that has led him to the village of Armsworth.

Extra: He’s also an alcoholic.
