Mutant Pursuit OOC:

Plot: Since the Dawn of time, humanity has been working on creating one thing weapons. Humans are always seeking new and better weapons to help their country, themselves, or even others. Many dangerous weapons have been created such as guns, bombs, flame throwers, RPG's ect, but now humanity is seeking a more dangerous weapon to be used to try to either create peace or eradicate it forever. However the greatest weapons of all have been in hiding during the creation of various other weapons, these weapons are human beings classified by the Government as mutants. Mutants are human beings with special abilities such as teleportation, tissue regeneration, and even self levitation. Most mutants have rarely meet other mutants simply because many were hiding their abilities for fear of loosing everything they have for being different.

Many strange accidents many dealing with mutants happened for years, but as modern times neared people looked into these accidents more. Several organizations are investigating the strange incidents occurring and mutants began meeting up with each other once modern times began. However since they began meeting up, and abilities grew more powerful... well the Governments all around began to learn about mutants and their special powers. Now the American government has learned of the existence of mutants and plans to have them all hunted down to protect normal humans. The Government decides to hide the exist of mutants from the general public and instead get rid of this Terrorist thread Homeland Security leading the battle against mutants.

Now then the battle for the survival of mutants and humans begins. Which species shall survive? Will mutants try to eradicate humans or make peace with them? Find out by joining this epic rp.

Rules:
1. Make sure your powers are cool! You can obviously use powers already made like flight but nothing like Super Saiyan from DBZ or Power Cosmic from Galactus
2. Try to have posts of at least a paragraph. So four to five sentences
3. Do not pick the same powers, already chosen by other players
4. Your power should be something your character wants(If they want to run super speed, if they want to know what people think about them telepathy, if they want to slow their life down time stop ect)
5. Characters may die in the rp, however death of characters should not happen every other post!

Ability: Power Absorption:- The ability to absorb and restore the powers of others. With this power he "absorbs" and stores the powers of others into his body. To "absorb" abilities into his body does not require physical contact, although the person who's abilities he's absorbing does not loose their abilities.

He cannot absorb any skills aside from powers and when in physical contact with humans he can drain their life-force although this does not grant him any form of longevity, regeneration, or any skill the person wields. He does not drain life at incredibly fast speeds, but the rate at which he absorbs is not exactly slow either.

However he also absorbs the weaknesses and limits of each power he absorbs. Meaning if someone has a time limit for a certain ability he also has the same time limit for the ability, or if they have a weakness when he accesses the ability he also has the weakness. He does not gain emotional or self imposed weaknesses on abilities.

The skills he has absorbed are.... Chromakinesis and Empathic Manipulation.

Short Biography: Jason Hammens was born in Orlando, Florida and so grew attached to Disney. He was raised in a stable him with his father Wally and mother Judy. He had a normal life for a normal child and his parents had him hang out with his cousins from a young age so he could bond with them. His older cousin Evan was a like an older brother to him and he became really interested in the arts( Dancing, singing, and acting). His mother Judy loved the arts and got him into arts class on the weekends and he also attended Church. By the time he was twelve his family moved to New York City, New York since his dad got a better job there.

He went without arts class and got into sports. By the time he was fourteen he resumed arts and even started piano/drums. He continued to live a normal life until his parents were both injured in an accident and he went to live with Evan since he was unable to live with his parents at the moment. He attended a new school and resumed his old arts school. He discovered his power in art class when he absorbed the power of Chromakinesis and gained powers over color. His teacher Mr. Frusten decided to train his Chromakineitc powers and he later to used his powers over color to create a large amount of dark colors to help Evan escape the crossfire of a gang fight.

After that Jason told Evan about his powers and his life returned to normal by fifteen but he still practiced his abilities. His parents were getting recuperated and his powers began to grow stronger when he managed to drain life-force from a bully he went to the Guidance Counsler Mrs. Rosetta who had empathic manipulation and after gaining this ability he caused anger and used his powers to steal tons of X men comics learning his power was similar to that of Rogue from X men comics. He returned the comics and went to meet Mrs. Rosetta for help but she had left the school thinking her powers sparked the fight and he was forced to train himself using comics and Marvel Wiki. He then began to get minor roles in movies and moved back with his parents after acting in House of Payne.

He had gotten his name out but sadly Homeland Security set up a trap in his home, taking his parents hostage, and going after him. He managed to escape HS with his powers. He went to meet up with his cousins for help but HS pursued and attacked his current home. He merely escaped with Evan and now he wants to find others like him to restore his life to normal.

Appearance: Latino, with long wavy, black hair. She wears a black leather jacket, white shirt, black leather pants and leather boots. She has a simple, silver crucifix on her.
Ability:(Or Skills for Humans) Detective Skills, some Karate skills.
Short Biography: To the humans, she's the most skilled detective (well, not quite that skilled) in New York, and a character to be reckoned with. However, she's still failing at university (due to the amount of cases that she's putting up with) and she's really short of money. Also, to top it all off, her father is a mutant and she has no idea that his abilities were the basis of solving half of her cases.
Personality: You could say that she's a mystery onto herself. She's loud, bright and optimistic, even when she's investigating cases... unless if it's a massacre of some sort, her mood changes to a pretty dark one. She deeply cares about her father, even though she's on a love-hate relationship with him.
Other: She can protect her father with her karate moves, but she's not adequate with weapons, especially with guns and with archery, since she's not accurate.

Appearance: Latino, bald-shaven. He's in a dark business suit, with a brown tie. He's around five foot four, and has a tattoo on his neck (which is a picture of a crucifix)

Short Biography: Jonathan is the Captain of the Homicide Squad in New York. Even though he's divorced (over some trivial matter of the delegation of chores in the household), he was working on one of the mysterious cases in one of the Government Plants when Jonathan thought that his life came to an end, literately. However, he managed to get out and decided to keep his new powers a secret, in case if the Government decided to hunt him down for goodness what.
Personality: He's the more serious one. He's protective of his daughter in both physical and in her own reputation as a detective. He can be cheerful, especially towards the little kids, since it reminds him so much of his daughter. He's the one who gives her the large hints and she, somehow, solves it. He makes sure that she doesn't get the hint that his 'Flash-back' ability was something that occurred to him a long time ago.
Other: He's handy with a gun, has his own squad and somehow has 'connections'. Not so much high in the scales, though, but... he manages to keep his own secrets to his chest.

Tox is a tall, and musuclar person. His skin is extremely pale, and his black and green veins are visible from outside his skin. His finger tips are black as are his toes. He wears cameo-trousers, black boots and a long tan-brown trench coat. On his face he wears a black GP-7 russian gas mask [see below] with it's filter painted black [the large cannister on it's side]


Ability: Tox is extremely poisonous. His touch releases deadly flesh-eating bacteria, and his lungs exhale a thick, black smog that can blind, paralyze and even kill if he wishes it.

Short Biography:
Tox was born Michael Foreman. He appeared to be a simple human boy, until his skin began to turn black and his blood thick like oil. After a while the air he exhaled became like a thin smoke that caused dizziness to others.
69 years later and his touch can kill. He has been hunted by the american government for most of his life, and is perhaps among the first mutants classed as 'Extremely Dangerous'.

Personality:
Despite his exterior he is a polite, well-mannered man. He often claims to hate humans for hunting him down, but has saved them from danger in the past. He is a strong political figure in the mutant world, in that he literally kills to make their rights known.

Other:
His gas mask was custom built, reverse the job of it's filter, so that it didn't clean the air that came in, but rather the air that comes out so that he can safely travel among the streets without leaving a trail of bodies behind.
For some reason his skin seems to react violently to water, causing it to burn and blister.

Name: Owen Ramsey

Appearance: Owen is gruff and chiseled. He wouldn't call himself handsome, but in-the-field experience lends a certain world-weary but coordinated look to his body. He keeps his red hair trimmed short and his beard trimmed to nothing more than stubble. On the job, which is always, he wears simple gray camouflage military fatigues and whatever other items are needed.

Ability: Psychological Operations

Biography: In a nutshell, Owen came from a military family and went straight to the academy. He's served for twelve years and attained the lofty rank of Command of an Arm. Although he fosters no real hatred towards mutants, he does what he must because he can, because otherwise certain people with information would ruin his life.

Personality: Owen is easy-going except when he's not. When he's not he's dead serious and solely focused on getting the job done well.

Name: Darius Khane

Age: 15

Gender: Male (Mutant)

Appearance:

Darius has a pretty average height, about 5'7, and build. He isn't all that different from the other guys his age, except the fact that he is a mutant. He doesn't care much about relationships and the like, so he doesn't pay attention to what other people think about his appearance. Usually he wears a white shirt, dark blue jacket, and pants made for running over long periods of time. He doesn't like carrying too much with him, as more than enough just slows him down.

Ability:
To be able to run within the realm (speed) of light in short bursts which last about 10-15 seconds. Any longer than that will leave him physically exhausted for an hour, as the stamina needed to maintain this constant speed is incredibly taxing even for him. He usually counts his time in nano or micro seconds, regular seconds are too slow. Roughly, running through a distance of one kilometer takes him 3.3 microseconds, which by converting it comes to 3/1000 of a millisecond.

Darius' weakness is that he can't move his whole body into light speed more than once every hour. He put this limit to himself on purpose so that his stamina wouldn't completely run out when he needed it, because if he did it freely, then for the next couple of days he wouldn't be able to move at all. Instead, he focuses the different parts of his body to move at that speed, such as one arm or legs.

Short Biography:
Darius has always lived a normal life, easily going through the stages of life without anything tragic happening. However, one aspect that made him different was how fast and long he could run and move his body. When he was a child, running came naturally to him, and he was dashing all over the place weeks before a normal kid would even try.

As he grew older, his reactions plus stamina steadily grew, and he began to join the track and field clubs just to be able to move about more. Of course, he always could win, although he sometimes lost on purpose so he wouldn't become too much of a attraction. Around this time, too, his parents paid for lessons on how to shoot a gun for self-protection, as cases of missing children and the like had just begun then.

Darius' first realization of his abilities was when he got into the first year of high school, so he was thirteen years old at the time. On the day his powers manifested, his science teacher had explained how the sun's rays traveled down to earth, of course explaining the speed too. Being the kid that he was then, he ditched his club practice after school and went to a park with a small lake inside, which happened to have nobody there at that moment. He was running at a slow pace beside the riverbank, imagining what it'd be like to run at the speed of the sun's rays. A couple seconds in with that, the air suddenly parted in front of him, and the next thing he knew he was on the other side of the lake. Luckily, nobody happened to be there either, so he was the only one that knew.

It took him a while to process it, a day to be exact, and when he did his mind became filled with the countless possibilities about it. From then he trained himself to master it, dropping out of anything important that he did except for his shooting --His parents wouldn't let him quit for that one--, and quickly did because of his natural talent of moving his body for all those years.

Two years later, the accidents involving mutants like him reached his ears, and he quickly packed his things and ran away. A month before this, however, Darius persuaded his parents to buy him an actual gun, and so he took that along with him too. Ammunition wasn't necessary, as he just stole it from places that he passed by. He tries to find other mutants to better protect himself and others, before he too is picked off.

Personality:
Darius doesn't exactly talk too much, but can keep a conversation going if he needs to. He isn't open to trust many people besides fellow mutants, and tries to stay away from a huge crowd. Most of the time he blends in with the rest, and often just 'disappears' after a couple of minutes. He is usually a calm fellow, without a need to panic. From his childhood he has developed a habit to be polite to anyone he meets, be they good or bad, and he still has this trait.

Name: Kenny Burrows

Age: 23

Gender: male (mutant)

Appearance: tall, visibly strong and somewhat muscular. His skin tone lies somewhere between a European and a Mediterranean tone: a clear, olive tone to put it in a few words. With very short hair, it's kept spiked upwards in a faux-hawk, that is, without shaving either side of the head and only lifting the top. Thick brows and tiny, almond eyes adorn the well-chiseled face. A defined, split jaw and a soul patch with a chin beard for facial hair.

Kenny will be seen wearing pretty much anything: from loose, casual clothing to formal attires that would appear proper only for a funeral. A trademark of his is a pair of large, dark glasses.

Double Mental Plane:

Kenny is in possession of two souls, so to speak. The first is his own, the second was produced when he awoke his power. It's essentially another plane of thought: he could be thinking about running someplace and have the DMP knit a scarf whilst he does so. This is only an example as the DMP cannot recall skills Kenny doesn't know. At least, not in this use. The more obvious uses in its latent form are for a second set of reflexes, to plan out battle strategies and raise his overall quality of life.

In its awakened form, the DMP will take over as the primary realm of thought and leave Kenny as a backup. This increases his physical capabilities considerably, but obviously reduces the latent uses (because Kenny is now working as the alternate reflexes). He may remember everything that happens during this time, but cannot directly interact as the DMP has complete control of his body.

There are downsides to this - the DMP is described more so as a soul than a realm of thought because it appears to possess a life of its own; obeying Kenny as opposed to being forced like one would his actions. Also, it isn't uncommon for him to hear a voice...

Short Biography: born and raised in California, he was your typical popular kid, though a lot more humane than the usual. Still, Kenny grew up with a mediocre school average and a lot of girlfriends. Taking an interest for soccer and wrestling, his father promptly encouraged him a future as a sports player, whilst his mother insisted thoroughly he get a profession. Confused, he left home at 18 to be with whom he thought the love of his life.

Fresh out of high school, Kenny got a job in underground fighting, where he made more than enough money to support the two, as well as their soon-to-be child. It was a late night, about two years later that he came out of the 'pits' and found an odd sight. Several gang members surrounded his car, and met Kenny as he walked to open the door.

It was here he woke the DMP, using it to defend himself from the attackers. Finally, he arrived home. It was there he regretted not taking their lives: the child had been hung in the kitchen, and his wife had been raped and murdered.

Personality: reserved and easily embarrassed. Kenny was greatly affected by his family's death and it shows: rarely does he make eye contact for long, nor does he easily recognize achievements. He's one to enjoy the moment and not elaborate on the future, never really thinking about things as much as he should.

Other:

- Has never broken a bone, as such, those at the pits commonly named him Lucky (short for a previous pseudonym - 'Lucky Bastard').

- The name of his wife was Jenna.

- His child's name was Benny, actually named that because 'it sounded cute the way it rhymed'.

- Kenny's favorite meal is cheeseburger with a side of chili beans.

Appearance:

Ability: Transmutation & telekinesis. Transmutation the ability to transform one thing into another to start this power can only be used on non living object i.e brick metal and wooden tables and so on, later this ability will mutate to allow ed to manipulate his own arms and legs. Telekinesis the ability to move objects with ones mind this has just one limitation and that is that Ed can only throw certain weights but as time goes on and he learns to use the ability that weight will increase.

Short Biography: Ed grew up with a dad that beat both him and his mother and then when his father died his mother began to smother him. this was one of the main factors that made Ed want to be left alone another was that he was bullied in school. the first chance that Ed got he left his mother and went to university where he tried to push every one away he wanted to be alone. unfortunately one of the campus frats picked him as a pledge after he rushed with his room mate for moral support.
Ed accepted the offer of the Kappa tao Gamma's and is an active member of the frat his plan to push people away had failed but he still had one dream left he could still change the world around him.

Personality: Ed it the kind of person that prefers to be alone but he makes it seem like he enjoys being around people and he has an ambition to change the world for himself and others like him.
