In need of a mentor (and some backbone...)

I've been rping for some time now, but I feel like a low-level roleplayer.

I'm not sure what I need. I know usually practicing in different roleplays and such is supposed to help, but the roleplays I become interested in either die before they start, or I'm around other roleplayers that are, obviously, a lot better at what they do, and I feel intimidated because I know I wouldn't be able to live up to it - at least not with the level of skill I have right now. I want to be at that level, but I don't know if I can learn how to do it on my own.

Can someone please help me?

Well, I'm now site mentor, but I do know my way around the keyboard when it comes to Role Playing. As far as joining RPs that die and such, I would suggest trying out the multiverse for starters.

However, if you want some pointers, my inbox is always an option. I like to help, give advice, or just straight out tutor. I run a school on a different chat client on the basics of Paragraph Role Playing, and would be more than happy to share the knowledge with you as well as anyone else. If not that's fine too, I mean, I'm no mentor as far as the site goes. As for being another Role Player however, I feel it is my duty to help those that are needed of the assistance, as long as you want to learn.

PM me when ever you can, if you want to of course, questions are always a good thing so I can answer them in the way I know how. I'm still fairly new to the site, but I do have PMing unlocked so I can receive them and send them. I hope to hear from you soon, and perhaps we can help you with your dilemma.

If you're looking for something where you can just jump in and RP without having to worry about getting involved in something that takes a long time to develop and dies before you can really get going, I suggest that you head into Chat and take a stab at playing in the Multiverse.
