Ah, hi again Water :)
Hmm I haven't actually set limits yet since the game is so new. But thinking that one will start off on an island where raw resources (like, metal ores), I didn't think that people would actually go much further than, perhaps, medium-distance teleportation, electrically powered engines, and lightswords. If you have specific ideas you can always discuss them in here.

I was thinking of my character personal possesion being a holographic journal. One that has also has schematics for some of his inventions along with personal logs, and has libary of books and 1 movie 'int its database.

Hmm I think that that's okay, even for starters, as it has no actual practical use. if I understood well you have "blueprints" for your inventions, some written-down memories, and books and movies for entertainment... I'll accept that.
By the way, after you have your character I guess we can already start, since it's an RP meant to be played with few people. Four are good enough.

Yeah. ITs a device on his wrist. the projects holograms. Its memeory having his inventions blueprints, a small libary and movies as well as his journal for teh last 1500 years. He can'tuse the hologram projector for anything else. Becuase dismantling the device is required and it would destory teh momeory in it.

LIghtswords? wow. wouldnt a lightsword(saber) be a bit overpowered/too useful on a deserted island? I mean, you could start fires, cut wood, with careful use- seal wounds, boil water, kill animals for prey, kill other people (thats kinda extreme), cut through stone and make a cave shelter, mining.
I think the medium distance teleportation isnt so bad though. But i think it would be more fair for a character to invent said teleportation instead of arriving on the island with it.

You mean rapier type light sword or star wars type light sword. Either way its not overpowered. A rapier won't build shelter or tell you how to purify water or what do if you should get ill. The other type would have to be powered some how so likely to lose charge after so long.

That is true, i guess it all depends oh how you think of it. I was thinking of a star wars version. But yes, there is generally a way to prevent almost anything being overpowered.

lol I like the way you are discussing about something I just barely mentioned. But lightsabers are just too powerful, because they can cut through literally everything (foes, stone, wood...), and don't wear out as they have no solid substance, only laser (although, their batteries might run dry)

well, it is a very interesting discussion, it makes one think of roleplay as a tool for writing stories, creating stories, and thinking over the plausibilities of said story.

Yeah, I didn't say it's bad, just fun.
Oh, and I changed the plans a little: we can re-discuss what should be allowed and what not (concerning equipment and such), I think that teleportation is okay for people that have progressed enough in the game. Maybe the whole concept of magic can be allowed to certain extents, but we should see that together.
