Based off of the TV show 'The 100' as well as 'Lost' and A multitude of other things floating in my subconscious. The Ark is the Citadel from 'Mass-Effect'.

The year was 2133, and the tensions between the US and the newly formed USSR were rising to boiling point. Both America and the USSR were preparing for war, drafting people as young as fourteen into the military. The public lived in a constant state of fear. And then the first bomb hit the American Capital, Washington D.C. {Of course, the President was fine. He had been living in a bunker since the threat was imminent.} After that, the US retaliated with a bomb to Moscow, and soon most of the population was wiped out, if not from the initial blasts they were killed by nuclear fallout, radiation poisoning or cancer. 93 percent of the population was dead, leaving only pockets of people who were lucky {or rich} enough to have bunkers, or mutants that somehow survived the war, but with terrible defects. These mutants banded together and created various guerrilla groups.
Although, fortunately, not everyone was on the ground.
A program had begun twenty years prior that sent roughly 150,000 people from the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Korea to space, to see if the human race could survive in space for extended periods of time if needed. Everyone in The Colony lived cushy lives up until news of the disaster hit. The president of the Colony, Leonidas Wolfe had now become the president of the largest group of humans in the known universe. It was a daunting prospect, but he took it on. His plan was to sustain human life on The Colony for 500 years, and return to Earth.
That was one hundred years ago.
It was discovered fifty years into the post-war stage that a fatal flaw in the colonies oxygen reserves caused the oxygen to be used up ten times quicker than it should be. Although the oxygen was set to last them at least five hundred years, currently it would only last them fifty. One solution was to reduce the population of the colony, and to do that, the colony introduced a new law. Any and every crime is punishable by death. There is one loophole in this law, though- children under eighteen are spared.
For this reason, 60 "expendable" juvenile delinquents, along with 40 normal teenagers {"To keep the peace"} have been sent down to the Ground to see if the Earth is habitable. Their survival depends on the survival of all man kind.
The Ground is full of surprises and unforeseeable consequences those from the colony never anticipated. It is up to these teenagers to find a way to survive in peace together, or fall apart in anarchy and chaos.
As these one hundred delinquents take their first breaths of Earthβs air, their first soaks in the rivers, their first everything, little do they know that they were being watched.
Watched by humans.
The Ark
The Ark, a metropolis in space, houses approximately 100,000 citizens in it's depths. It is currently stationed nearest to the planet Earth, close enough to see what once was. Only ten residents of the Ark were alive when the war began, 100 years ago. The Ark is virtually indestructible. If attacked, the station can close its arms to form a solid, impregnable shell.
Wings
There are five 'Wings' on the Ark, each a large, city-like structure, housing 20,000 people on each 'Wing'. It is akin to cities such as Hong Kong or Singapore. Unlike the Sectorum, there is no artificial day-night cycle; as a consequence of this, commercial activity rarely ceases, and residents work and rest according to personal need. Some residents on the wing despises the residents of the Sectorum, due to their privileges. There is a clear class divide.
The Presidential Tower
The Presidential Tower contains the office of the current Colony president and the goverment, it is guarded heavily. The current president is Hale Irwin, the current Vice President is Elise Cavanaugh.
The Sectorum
The Sectorum is a massive, park-like complex containing the homes of the wealthy and/or valuable people on The Ark, There are high-end shops, restaurants and recreational facilities. It incorporates an artificial 20-hour day schedule: lights are dimmed, and the holographic "sky" darkened, for 6 of the 20 hours, imitating the familiar day-night cycle.

3 || Mary-sues/Gary-Stus will not be tolerated.

1 || Under no circumstances must your character be a rapist or anything linked to that. This is for personal preference.
2 || Only three characters can be from the Sectorum . Only one character can commit mass murder, and one can be in a gang. I don't really want 14 serial killers. Most of the kids will be busted for something stupid.
3 || Reservations are greatly encouraged. They last for 2 days, and if you don't have a WIP in, I will PM you. FC changes may be allowed, as long as I approve through the OOC.
4 || The password is: Last thing you saw in a cinema/movie theater.

2 || If you haven't posted for one week, your character will be removed.

Collectibles
