Aw, just saw he put a timestamp on the CS. I just needed to know what the date was now, so I could work backwards and use a lot of guesstimate work, but I am fine now -_- feel dumb for not looking, but thanks for the offer :P

Mm, I think you would be able to as the Inquisition does make use of them, if I remembered correctly of course, I could be wrong. Although, in my opinion, such a character would be incredibly boring. Whats the fun of playing someone who doesn't fear anything.. or really have any kind of personality? Even Space Marines feel fear, they just control it.

I see what you mean with that point, but i also think it could be fun to be somewhat hated by the rest of the group. Could turn into some nice group RP.
Besides it'll be fun to see Inquisitor Osbourne keep the rest of ya from tearing me apart xD

Aw, I see. I didn't know human pariahs caused so much discourse. Figured they were just blanks with less personality.

Yea, i thought so too. Then i decided to go read up on 'em and on the Lexicanum it actually said:
"The Pariah gene is passed on as is any other gene, or occurs through random mutation, just as those genes that cause susceptibility to the Psyker mutation. Pariahs are infinitely rarer than Psykers and make up a negligible proportion of the population, with maybe one individual per planet arising every generation, and they generally die young as their aura of disgust and nausea turns other living beings against them. Still, a few Pariahs survive to become servants of the Imperium and are often used as shields against the warp by Inquisitors, particularly those of the Ordo Hereticus, whose task it is to deal with the Witch and the Psyker. As stated earlier, the entirety of the Culexus Temple of assassins are Pariahs and they use their curse to become some of the deadliest psyker hunters in the Galaxy."

Aura of disgust, lol Well, now I have to figure out how a sister would treat them... Disgusting wretch? Or blessed shield gifted by the Emperor to protect against heresy? Somewhere in the middle?

That's exactly one of the reason why i want to be a human phariah. Going to be fun as hell to see you guys deciding wheather to hate me or just "use" me as i'll be unable to tell good from bad, and'll most likely justs end up following orders from whoever i think is in charge xD

So, right now I´m leaning towards my character being a regular storm trooper, probably a squad leader. I was thinking that he and what remained of his squad could join Inquisitor Osbourne after the regiment they where attached to was more or less wiped out, or something like that. ^^
I also got a feeling that a character like that is probably going to die pretty fast on his own so I was wondering if maybe he could have a squad of npc´s to lead?

If you want Twisty, I can play one of the squad members.

>.> Although what I would give to play an Ork Kommando merc, but that would be for later if at all.

If I may, here's my input on some of the more "controversial" characters suggested in this thread.

Whether or not you could play as an Ork depends on how Radical this particular Inquisitor we're working for is in regards to xenos. Inquisitors of the Ordo Malleus will, according to the 6th edition stuff, work with just about anyone not aligned with the Ruinous Powers if the need arises, and radical members of the Ordo Xenos have been known on occasion to include "worthy" (or necessary) Xenos in their retinue for certain amounts of time.

As for that guy who suggested a repentant heretic, that's a possibility, though in the exceedingly rare cases such a person is allowed to live by the Ordo Hereticus, they are as a rule mind-wiped and kept under close surveillance, so that would have to be in your character's backstory, and something neither s/he nor any member of the group save for the Inquisitor would be aware of at the start.*

A Space Marine COULD be a party member, but they'd most likely be a Deathwatch Kill Marine to be in the company of an Inquisitor and working without their brothers, and would probably outshine more normal members of the party due to the enemies you'd need to roll out to challenge such an individual.

A Pariah could also be a party member, but that would screw over all of our Psykers unless that Pariah happened to be a Cuxelles Assassin (which would need a lot of explaining), since they get those weird skeleton helmets which block out their null-aura when it's not needed. A Blank would be more appropriate IMHO, since having a Pariah around would basically eliminate any chance of our characters being corrupted by Chaos due to the potency of the latter's null-aura.

Personally, I'm planning something significantly less snowflakey for my own character, and yes, I want to join this since a 40k RP has the potential to be made of awesome =-). He'll most likely be a member of the AdMech, probably an relatively young Explorator who teams up with the party due to some rumor of an undiscovered STC in whatever region of space this RP takes place in.

* There are exceptions to this rule, but those tend not to live long due to being made into an arco-flagellant or installed into a penitent engine or used as a psychic lightning rod by an Inquisitor.

Edit: Quick Question: Will we be using the 40k RPG system for this that was released by Fantasy Flight Games? We could easily go with a rules light version so as to make the fighting more fair.
I am infamous for my attempt to embarrass TheGroxinator with a jar of mayonnaise!

Indeed, it would depend on the Inquisitor which is why I said an Ork would have to wait till later, I wanted to see how Cha is doing his inquisitor, but I also wanted an Ork Kommado for RP reasons as well. A Kommando Ork is not as... Orky as his fellows, so is going to be able to control some of his more orkish instincts (Good ol' hammersmash need), he is going to have patience, so he is not going to go nuts waiting for the ship to come out of warp and going on a warpath trying to get a gud fight out of his teammates, and as long as you weren't alone with him alone in the forest, you are probably not going to get a knife in the back.

It would give me some semblance of control, but still get to enjoy the overall Orky feel.

I wouldn't mind it at all Breeze, but as I mentioned earlier I´m going to be gone for two weeks so unless your planing on playing more than one character I wouldn't recommend it ^^
That is unless you have any ideas on how to solve that little issue

Re: Secret Heroes of the Imperium

@Twisty: I have already made my main character: my Sister of Battle, so the squadmate would be another one I played.

I've played an NPC squad before, and its hard to keep up the dialogue at times, so I wanted to help with that by giving you another character you can talk to that will have someone else doing the dialogue for. I don't mind waiting for you to come back as I have my Sister to run around with while the squadmate is MIA.

Any ideas what you want the squadmate to be? Medic? Assualt? Sniper? Demolitions?

I would only be making the Kommando if it was allowed and after one of those two characters died.

I´m thinking maybe a medic or some kind of breaching specialist, someone who will have no problem getting through a door or a bulkhead whiles under fire. But I´m going to leave the "class" of your character up to you, I´m just leaving suggestions ^^

So assault or medic? Alrighty, one you get your character up, I'll start on the squadmate, so I can use information from yours to help me make mine (Regiment, systems, etc).

If I do assault, I am probably going to have a very... very short life-span.. a medic would live longer, but... Alright, Assualt it is!

Okay, but just so you know I´m not sure if I will be able to come up with a complete character and submit it before I leave so don´t expect me to submit it within the week, ok?

lol its not a problem. I don't need to make the trooper now, I haven't even started to truly think on the character or his/her personality yet, so I don't mind if you finish it when you get back.
