Naomi cursed as she heard the group shouting in the distance. The two girls had made some distance already but Naomi wasn't sure if anyone was following them. The only footsteps she heard were her own and Rem's. Breaking through the trees Naomi halted in her steps before glancing around. They were in another housing area but the street was unfamiliar and Naomi prayed they would be able to find their supplies and the truck before the other group does.
"Alright we should head to the other side of this street and cut through the yards. These houses are probably empty of any supplies so there is no use stopping" Naomi informed Rem before running. As their searched Naomi could still hear the group, yet now they were louder and mixed with the barking of dogs. Naomi growled as they hopped over another fence. It took them twenty minutes but as they were running down a street Naomi spotted the truck.
"Rem" she shouted before pointing out the truck. Rushing towards the vehicle Naomi unlocked the truck and hopped in before starting up the engine. Once Rem was inside Bear attacked them with licks and happy barks, overjoyed to see the two girls. Ignoring the yipping puppy Naomi reversed out of their hiding spot before speeding forward past the barricades of the group.
