The Ancients Amulets - Rise of the Dorai (Recruitment)

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Raigi on Sat Jul 12, 2008 12:32 pm

If you're interested go ahead and post a character Description here and if it meets the minimum requirements I'll go ahead and accept it. I'll probably accept 3 - 4 players altogether, 1 spot is already reserved pending acceptance. After a few posts I'll be allowing a position for CO-dm for players in this so that we can have a little more variety in playstyle and NPC's. I hope eventually to have everyone that participates adding their own twists and turns to the story but we'll see how it goes.

Present Story -

Hundreds of years after the tragedy that sent the world into a chaotic spiral bitter hatreds still run deep. Though Mortals and Dorai continue to war with eachother, their skirmishes have had little effect on the stability of the many nations of Marna. Dorai are very few in number, being only 1 to every 2000 humans in existence because of the harsh bounties that were placed on their heads. Many have made a massive profit from hunting these powerful children of a dead and nearly forgotten goddess some even pulling themselves from poverty and into noble houses. This stalemate had gone on for a long time, the two primary factions being those of the Dorai of Aerie Peak, the location of their captiol remaining hidden from prying eyes and the powerful human nation of Coritani. The fighting had yet to exceed routine hit and run attacks from Aldarin Va'Lain's men but recently the attacks had become more brutal. Raided villages were not simply plundrered or had their men killed, women and children were starting to become victims as well.

The massaceres of five villages on the outskirts of the Coritian homeland sent a stern message to the Coritian King. This band of Dorai led by the infamous Gray Wolf as Aldarin had become known on the battlefield, was preparing for something. Weapons and armor were being taken from the local guards and blacksmiths that became victims of the raid. It was believed that Dorai didn't have use for such a mass of weapons because of their small numbers, there just weren't that many....were there? Word has spread through the kingdom of Coritani, that dark times were to come, the Dorai's thirst for revenge boiled deep in their hearts. This is the begining of the real war, the skirmishes before these events would be put to shame in the coming days. Now was the time to choose sides... to aid the beaten but proud Dorai who seeked for themselves a future paradise free of mortal influence or the, Diverse, Powerful, and amazingly resilient mortals.

Backstory-

The world of Marna is relatively young, its inhabitants having only advanced to the age of swords, castles, and kingdoms. Humans are by far the most numerous of the worlds inhabitants, followed by the reclusive High Elves and even more rare Forest elves. Fellpools(Anthromorphs, crosses between humans and animals with primarily humanoid features but have different abilities according to their race.) are known to be highly reclusive and tend to avoid other humanoids except in rare cases. The last of the major inhabitants of the world, if they can still be called a major inhabitant are the Dorai. These people can consist of any race, be it human, elf, Fellpool, or otherwise. Their eyes have a dark purple pigmentation, a side effect of the magic coursing through their beings. Other races exist in this world as well but aren't considered major powers for one reason or another.

In the past, several thousand years ago a goddess of unparalled beauty was sent to guide the hands of this worlds inhabitants, teach them to prosper and advance. This was first done with trinkets, items that mortals could use to channel mana without bringing it through their bodies, an act that would result in a horrible sickness followed soon by death to those without the goddess gift. These trinkets limited the mortals use of the gift and over time of course they became addicted to the magical force they had done nothing to earn. After several years of devout worship the goddess saw fit to bestow upon her most faithful servants the ability to channel magic through their bodies, a gift that would create a new race known as the Dorai. The new gift allowed the Dorai to explore deeper boundaries to their magical prowess, allowing them not only amazing longevity but the means to expand their magical knowledge beyond that of what trinkets would ever allow.

For a few years the dorai blood mixed with that of the subraces this creating a handful of Dorai, fabled children of the goddess. With the aid of Dorai magic the various peoples of the world advanced at an amazing rate, erecting castles and feats of craftsmanship far beyond what they should have been able to comprehend in such a short amount of time. Everywhere Dorai lived they ushered in a sort of golden age, their powers seeing that there would never be a shortage of food, water, or fire to craft materials needed to build. This grand harmony was to be shortlived however, discontent began to spill into mortal societies where Dorai were scarce. Questions began to arise within the ungifted communities, why did the goddess allow only a chosen few the gift? Why didn't all of the peoples of this world have it so easy as her favored children? Why couldn't the goddess simply give them all the power she entrusted to so few? These questions brought out the worst in the masses, anger and jealousy eventually breeding hatred toward the goddess. Mortal faith in the her judgement eventually waned, and paranoid ideas that they were merely slaves to these magic users spread about. With these poisoned thoughts.... came rebellion and violence.

The mislead propaganda provoked mortals everywhere to turn on their Dorai elders, killing those that resisted and capturing those too helpless or suprised to offer resistance. The goddess upon recieving word of the mortals betrayal was devastated, the death of a dorai was to her like the death of a family member. Enforcers were sent to the rebelling cities to quell the uprisings and restore order and if possible prevent further needless deaths but it was too little too late. The goddess forces were overwhelmed, their strengths were far greater than those of the mortals but their numbers so small that their power paled in comparison to the hordes of angry and confused mortals. In just a few days her island was her final bastion of power, her great golden tower standing tall before the invading hordes with her faithful children fighting ferociously in the ice fields below. Her children being cut down before her was too much for the young being of divinity to bear. With her great power she did what was long thought impossible, she erected a portal and swept a small number of Dorai to a safe place, away for the time being from the persecution of the human and elven armies.

A fledgling goddess she used all of her strength erecting the portal to move her people to safety. Only she and her personal guardsman, one Aldarin Va'lain remained blade drawn in waiting as the doors to the goddess throne were bashed in. The mixed armies flooded into the room only to be greeted with flames and ice shards cutting into them, ripping through their ranks. The most powerful of the dorai fought valiantly against the invaders but bloodied and weakened from the first 12 soldiers he fought and killed he stood no chance against so many. The goddess in a bid to save her servant dashed between he and the cold steel of a blade that would've dealt his fatal wound. Time seemed to slow as the divine beings flesh gave way to the cold steel her blood staining the floor and splattering across the nearly felled Aldarin's face. The brave knight's expression went blank as he realized what had happened, his mouth hung open and he stared in shock as the blade was ripped from her body to be replaced quickly by another. She would die soon, there was no doubt about it but with one final effort to save her protector she screamed out in agony and a massive burst of energy blew the masses of humans out of her tower. It formed a force field around the whole thing as well, preventing their entry. It was after that she became dizzy and fell back against Aldarin her breathing slow as she bled out onto the floor.

Aldarin held his creator in his arms after the ordeal, the thrashed knight trying to at least make her comfortable as her life blood was drained out of her. Reaching up the goddess stroked his chin and spoke. "Follow your brothers and sisters now....I...urgh.." Her body was giving out. "I am a lost cause... *cough* please see to it the...y...liv..e.." As she passed on her body seemed to fade into nothingness, however her essence remained forming into for small amulets. A diamond, a ruby, an Obsidian, and sapphire. Aldarin cursed the mortals, yelling throughout the tower his anger, his fury at losing something so dear to him. He went to take the amulets only to find that when he tried to pick up and of them aside from the onyx it faded from his grasp disappearing somewhere out into the world. These jewels must've had a purpose and he could only guess they would hold the key to the destruction of the mortals and prosperity for his kind. When he picked up the onyx trinket however, his body was overcome with a tingling sensation and he passed out. When he awoke he was a forest somewhere along with the rest of the Dorai refugees.

Since that time Dorai have been known as the one true evil in the world, their numbers so beaten down that they cannot restablish a firm powerbase. Bounties have been placed upon their heads, an attempt by mortals to rid themselves of what they believed their one true enemy to be. Sadly...this policy hasn't allowed for old wounds to heal, and now even those that wish to make peace with mortals suffer a life of persecution living in the shadows. Long have the past events been forgotten, the goddess and her tower having fallen into mere myth and songs. All that exists now is generation of inbred hate between mortals and Dorai, the majority of either side blind to why they're even fighting in the first place. There still remains one that remembers however, and he and his band seek retributions for the wrongs against them...they seek a new era through the amulets which they believe lay in human hands.

note: please keep in mind the previous text block is my experience with this world. none of it has to be set in stone for the world, it's more for setting than backstory really.

Races:

Mortal

Humans- Industrious and amazingly adaptive, the shortlived humans are the most numerous and powerful race in all of Marna. With such strength comes arrogance, as more powerful nations have been known to enslave conquered peoples. Because beliefs and ideals differ from person to person it is impossible for humanity to ever unite as one collective. Broken into nations and countries, humans are looked upon as not just one, but numerous superpowers.

High Elf - Tall and beautiful creatures, these elves are the most numerous amongst elfin kin. They are built much like humans with some subtle differences, namely their elongated, pointy ears and thin build. Generally light skinned high elves are accustomed to living in the forests surrounding human lands where they freely trade with their allies for the materials to further their growing civilization.

Wood Elf- Slightly more secluded than their High elfin Brethren these elves are found in deeply wooded areas untouched and protected from the expansion of civilization. They make their homes in the trees themselves and are deeply in tune with the nature that surrounds them. They are often known as the protectors of the forest and are friendly to those that respect the land around them.

Forest Elf- Rarest of all the elves there are no known settlements of their kind. It's believed they live deep in the lost woods but due to the vast expanse of land that the woods take up it's nearly impossible to navigate and is usually avoided by travelers of all kinds. All of the forest elves for however brief a view are describe as beautiful but wary people. It's been noted that few wear more than loin cloths and those that do are generally garbed in simple clothing made from foliage. They're believed to be peaceful but not much else is known about these wistful beings.

Fellpool- It's unknown yet where these creatures come from. Animal species with humanoid bodies are the only way to describe the fellpool race. They have little social standing and are usually looked up as either animals or monsters by humankind. Some of the more docile and intelligent fellpools have found their place within human lands though few ever really achieve a standing higher than that of peasants. They are known to have varying degrees of intelligence and aggression. Some also appear more human than others but sadly their numbers are quite small and thus they have few settlements of their own.

Demi
Dorai - A race shrouded in misunderstanding. Dorai are made up of a collective of any and all races with the only difference being that they can use the ancient art of magic. There are few Dorai that do not have some level of hatred for humans as such they gather in Aerie Peak under the watchful eye of the oldest known member of their Race. The only defining attribute of Dorai aside from their terrifying powers is they all possess Dark purple eyes. The few that break away from Duran and his mission to exterminate humans often live a hard life of persecution from both humans and Dorai that see them as traitors. Dorai are seen by all other races as a dangerous enemy and the head of Dorai will fetch a high bounty.

Misc
Many other races such orcs and trolls inhabit this world as well but are often the smaller part of this world.

Re: The Ancients Amulets - Rise of the Dorai (Recruitment)

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Raigi on Sat Jul 12, 2008 12:35 pm

Name: Aldos Farrence

Race: White Tiger Fellpool / Dorai

Age: 22

Appearance: A tall person to the say the least, standing at nearly 7' Aldos looms over almost any human or elf. His body is fit and slightly muscled, his moderate build only enforcing the idea that he was stuck somewhere between gentle and strong. Short white fur with black stripes covers the entirety of his body, soft to the touch and well kempt. Being young, his face has a boyish appearance to it with a determined shine in his purple eyes. His eyes are perhaps his most striking feature because of the golden speckles that dot his iris's just around the slitted pupils. His cats ears are slightly rounded like a tigers and a 4 foot long tail tail is easily noticeable outside of clothing. His hair is a very light brown unlike the snowy white of his fur and doesn't hang past his ears but is thick and usually is combed just enough for him to look nice. His body for the most part obeys the simple human anatomy, his animalistic features limited to his fur, ears, eyes, and tail.

Aldos tends to wear simple and comfortable clothing consisting of a blue button down shirt made of cotton with a pair of black pants. His boots are made of heavy leather with rabbit fur lining the insides for a pleasingly comfortable fit. Over the clothes he normally wears he adorns a platemail chestpeiece with attached shoulderguards custom fitted to his form. A white travelers mantle flows down his back to his calves and adornes a hood which he wears in the presence of humans in order to hide his heritage from those that'd seek to harm him. A small pack on his back is used for carrying food, water, and portable shelter during his travels. His only weapon of choice is a two handed longsword, elegantly crafted and exceptionally tough for it's somewhat light weight.

Brief history: Aldos grew up in a poor household, having had little to be thankful for through much of his childhood. He has always had a deep love and respect for his small family and has always done everything to better them. He had been the unfortunate victim of bullying since he lived in the poor district of Aerie Peak his one saving grace being that he was strong and gifted in the ways of magic. It wasn't until one day when a particularly prestigious young man by the name of Daryl, Val'Lain son of the infamous Grey Wolf had chosen to pick on his and poke fun at his family.

Aldos could take the shots to himself but his family wasn't something he allowed others to poke fun at he threatened the young noble with his life if he talked about his family again and when another taunt came he lost it. He threw the first punch catching the Daryl across the face with a right hook. This was all it took for a fight to break out, two of Daryl's friends coming to his aid against Aldos. The three men quickly overpowered Aldos and beat him to the point that he could barely stand. Since Daryl was the son of the Great Aldarin Va'Lain he knew he could easily get away with killing this commoner and picked up a large rock as his two friends wrestled Aldos to the ground and held him down for Daryl to crack him on the head. As the noble stood over him he raised the rock and laughed about how he would have Aldos family killed for what he did in standing up to him even though he really had no means to go about it. As Daryl brought the rock down something in the young boy clicked and his body glowed a dim white, the air around him becoming thin as if it had been sucked dry of magical force. When the rock came in contact with his new aura Daryl was electrocuted by a white lightning bolt that shot out from Aldos body and blew the noble back into a tree breaking his arm and leg.

The two holding him down had a look of shock on their faces as their friend lay still, knocked out from the pain of his injuries. It shouldn't have been possible that one so young could possess such a powerful magical force, it rivaled that of the veteran soldiers under Aldarin's personal guard. The two boys holding him down were quickly thrown off by a burst of air as Aldos pushed himself up and held in his hand a purple longblade, formed from pure magical energy compressed into a solid. His eyes glowed brightly as he turned on them, the white aura around him floating up from his body in white streams. The boys fled at this sight but when they were gone it seemed the force that erupted from him was dissipating. A bright, blinding shine flashed blinding any that may have seen and when it cleared Aldos was on the ground passed out from exertion, his life nearly faded away. When word reached the Academy for Magical Studies high in the noble districts of Aerie Peak soldiers were sent immediately to investigate the matter.

The two that had helped Daryl were the ones to tell the story when the soldiers arrived on the scene and Aldos was immediately taken to Peaks keep, a strange amulet that had appeared around his neck out of nowhere this being confiscated along the way as well. When he came to Aldos was met face to face with the Gray Wolf himself, who merely smiled and held up the white amulet that had appeared around his neck. "You my young man are a prodigy, only one of strong spirit and body could possibly have survived a magical outburst of that magnitude. You and your family will be moved into the Blackwater District of Armorika Castle and you will be enrolled in my academy free of charge. You have more than paid for it in what you have shown and given me this day." With that Aldarin took his leave, not even so much as giving Aldos a chance to reply leaving the young boy completely confused as to what had just happened to him.

That was the begining of Aldos life as a noble. He'd lifted his family from poverty to nobility by the mere act of impressing the Gray Wolf of Aerie Peak or was it something more? He was the pride of his family and he did not disappoint them, scoring high marks in all of his classes he was becoming famous within the secluded city among the poorer districts and some of the middle ones as well. When it came out that he was to graduate from the Academy that Aldarin put him in and put into the Military as the youngest general under the direct command of Aldarin himself he had become a household name almost as much so as the Gray Wolf and he had never even seen real battle. It wasn't to be however, on the day of Aldos' graduation Aldarin had pulled him aside and whispered something to him in private. By the shocked look on Aldos' face it was easy to tell that he didn't agree with whatever it was Aldarin had spoken about but he knew better than to question the Gray Wolf.

It was during his graduation ceremony that it was discovered he had gone missing, and with him the white amulet that had been found as well, its guards both knocked unconcious by an expert swordsman. Aldos had taken it, and fled.... leaving Aerie Peak behind him, he wanted his people to live free as well, he wasn't a fool but he did not see genocide as the answer. If they fell to that level then he felt their race would be no better than the mortals that hunted them now. Now he is hunted, Aldarin has not gone after his family, their rise to power made them untouchable as individuals and he could not link Aldos' defection to them. Now he is on the run, but his path is strange one...he heads straight for the gleaming city of Coritani...a human capitol city....Coritani Castle.

Abilities: Expert Swordsmanship, mid-level magic, Increased speed (Due to being a particular breed of Fellpool/Dorai), Magical Link (will be explained at some point)

Re: The Ancients Amulets - Rise of the Dorai (Recruitment)

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Vyrwolf on Sat Jul 12, 2008 1:56 pm

Name: Greywhisker

Race: Rattius/Dorai (a very, very rare race commonly grouped together with Fellpools because of their appearance)

Age: 27

Appearance: Greywhisker looks like a cross between a rat and a human, as all Rattius do, (see: my avatar), and quite thin, only around 5'5". His fur is mostly a light brown, but patches of grey a splotched here and there, making him look almost comical. He also has the violet eyes of a Dorai, and does nothing to hide it. In fact, he wears no clothes at all, and covers up anything a race might find offensive with a glamour, also changing his eye color to grey whenever secrecy is needed. Most of the time he can get away with just being another Fellpool.

Brief history: Greywhisker spend most of his early life abused and beaten for his race and his heritage, and in the end this lead to two things: his twitchy, but hopelessly kind and gentle, scaredy-rat demeanor, and his disbanding of society altogether. The Rattius ended up leaving the small multiracial village he grew up in and living on his own. During this time, he learned the ways of stealing and thievery, becoming adept to the point of unmatchable. This does not please him in the slightest, though, as he thought that stealing was a horrible thing to do, and only resorted to it for survival. When battles became prominent amount the mortals and the Doria, Greywhisker tried to help his brethren, but not in the way of killing. He simply could not take another's life, and, almost humiliatingly, had been told to be a part of the medical staff.

It was here Greywhisker found joy, loving to heal those and keep the comfortable and happy. However, his inability to kill left him, once again, the target of beatings and brutality. They did not plan to kill him, considering he kept THEM from death on the battlefield, but humiliating him to the point of tears was not above him. One night, Greywhisker returned to his tent sobbing uncontrollably, unable to take it anymore. No matter where he went, he could not find people to accept him. In this deep state of despair and loneliness, he felt something heavy around his neck. And the feeling that something was...Good. He wiped his eyes, and saw a beautiful amulet hanging around his neck, made of sapphire. He looked around to see who had given it, but could not see anyone. This mystery was quickly demolished by the sudden need to leave his battle group, and fast. Greywhisker left that night, going AWOL, and once again returned to his life of seclusion and thievery.

Abilities: Advanced healing magic, minor illusion magic, navigation, tracking, stealth, thievery, dark vision

Name: Noletac

Race: Human, Mortal

Age: 27

Appearance: Short for a man of his age, with high cheekbones and a protruding jaw. Sleek, black hair flows down to the lower nape of his neck. His deepset eyes have grey irises and above them is a pair of eyebrows so thin that the casual observer may not even notice them. He wears a simple green tunic, cowhide pants, and sandals. A lute hangs from his back and a flute is at his belt. He keeps a large knife strapped to his belt as well, but uses it for eating more than fighting.

Brief history:
Noletac was born in a forest village to a single peasant mother. He never met his father, but his mother informed him that he was a bard---which Noletac found impossibly cool. So it was that he spent much of his youth studying prose, ancient stories, and music, and set off to travel Marna dispensing stories and songs.

Abilities:
Noletac's bardic studies have left him a master of the lute, and a decent singer. Years spend on tavern floors have given him a firm understanding of how to cheat in gambling, how to survive a knife fight, and other things that respectable gentlemen are not supposed to know. Finally, that fact that his work brings him to many different places to meet many different people lends him an uncanny knowledge of current events.

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Opie Pokesmot on Sat Jul 12, 2008 3:26 pm

Name: Melchez Adek

Race: Drow (dark forest elf)

Age: 26 (Not sure if we're following that Elves don't age or not)

Appearance: Melchez is very charming in appearance. While he is shorter than most elves, he is complimented by his athletic build, though he is not exceedingly muscular due to his need of agility. He has a blond mohawk and is adorned with many tatoos of his tribe.

Brief history: Melchez was part of a very isolated and ancient tribe of Forest Elves. The tribe was outcast by other forest elves due to its obsession with darker practices. Son of the tribe leader, Melchez was very respected in his youth. Being schooled by the elders and champions allowed him to learn an array of skills that were necessary to survive in the ancient caverns.

Upon reaching the age of maturity, Melchez braved to leave the tunnels and forest and enter the outside world. He did not do so for the mere love of adventure, but for the ability to prove himself superior to others and to gain wealth via the dark practices learned by the elders.

While Melchez and his tribe are technically forest elves, they are not viewed the same by their kin. For centuries they have lived in a series of tunnels deep under the ground of the ancient forests that led to a large underground cavern which became their home.

Abilities: Alchemy, Archery, Acrobatics, Stealth, Daggers, Hand to Hand Combat, Persuasion. Has exceptional eyesight in the dark due to living in dimly lit caverns.

Re: The Ancients Amulets - Rise of the Dorai (Recruitment)

Tips: 0.00 INK Postby Rachelle on Sun Jul 13, 2008 12:52 am

Name: Kiana
Race: High Elf, Mortal
Age: 35
Appearance: Long black hair that hangs just above her waist. Even though she is aged, she does not look like a human at the age of 35, but a human at the age of 25. She has long lashes, and startling narrow dark blue eyes. She is pale, her skin almost milky, the sun deciding to burn her instead of tan her. She is usually found wearing a dress of dark green or black, with her sword belt buckled around her waist. This belt is made of leather, and embedded with small blue gems. Her long silver sword is always sheathed at her hip.

Brief history: Kiana was born into a rich family, though their social standing was not as high as a noble’s. They were more or less merchant’s, her father traveling the cities to bring back to goods and money required to fuel his needy family. Her mother was an eccentric woman, who taught her manners during the day, and fighting during the night. It is said that the silver sword she possesses can become engulfed in flames at her command. She will not reveal her sword to any except those that challenge her, and it always appears the same polished silver it as always been. She refuses to acknowledge the questions about her sword, and will ignore anyone who inquires.

Kiana left her family at the age of twenty, her future unknown to her. That’s when she saw the opportunity to use the money placed on the unruly and demonic Dorai’s head to become not only an important elf, but an extremely rich one. She has chased and extinguished many of their lives through the years.

Abilities: Her mother forced her to master swordsmanship before she left the house, and become a decent archer.

Greywhisker, Melchez and Kiana all have very well written and complete character sheets. They're all accepted into this roleplay. The thread for this setting will be under the fantasy roleplay part of the forum.

Alchemist your character is accepted as well but only after you edit your character description a little. I was kind of hoping for what kind of clothes he wears, what weapons he'll weild, things like that oh and to answer the confusion about elves yes they for the most part have never had a member of their race die of natural causes due to their long lifespan.

He has posted in it, then Rachelle did, and then I did. It has the same name and is in the fantasy roleplay section.

Name: Gar'zul.

Race: Troll/Human mix breed Dorai.

Age: 19

Appearance: Due to his blood, his stature can be quite intimidating for some people as he towers above them at 6'9. His skin colour is the typical dark grey leathery skin of a troll. His physical looks are that of a normal human due to his mix. However, his body is more muscly due to the fact of living a troll life for most of his life. His jet black hair falls limply to his shoulders and frames his high cheek bones, pulled eyes ( like Asian people, my apologies I don't know the name given for it), sharp nose and thin lips.

His preferred choice of gear is usually plate armor, consisting of a full torso and leggings along with other parts like the vambraces and the pauldrons. He also prefers a barbute (Greek type of helm. With the front open in a sort of 'Y' or 'T' to give room for the eyes and mouth.) to any other type of helmet. Where this would make a normal human very slow, it has a reduced effect on Gar'zul due to his size and muscular strength given to him via his troll blood. However, he still does tire out quickly, for his chosen weapon is a Uchigatana, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uchigatana) a sacred and traditional weapon for the trolls.

Brief history: Ever since he was a child, Gar'zul had been disdained and hated by his tribe that he belonged to. His father took a human wife, and only because of the troll elder, he lived in peace. For the Elder was grandfather, and he kept the other Trolls in check. The other Troll's, however might not have openly attacked family, but they gave Gar'zul a hard childhood. Outcast from all child groups and educating clubs that he'd need to grow up as a full fledged Troll, Gar'zul had a dim future indeed, however, he did not let this deter him. He trained with his father's Uchigatana called 'Kaz''Jin' (Meaning Death Elder) for years and years and he trained in the ways of survival needed for him to live in the world.

However, the day came sooner than expected. The Elder deceased to be, and the Troll's realising they had no one to take orders from anymore, descended on the home of Gar'zul and slaughtered his mother and father. At the time Gar'zul had been training in the forest, and upon coming home had seen his family homeand his family, burning into embers. With a rage that shook the mountains, he headed towards the tribe's lodgings. And many a blood was spilt, Gar'zul slaughtered many of the Troll's himself, but as the time past, he slowly became overwhelmed and slowly he started to fall. His cuts were slower and less precise, his dodging was more clumsier and he lost his footing. At the final point where it seemed like he'd truly perish and be left to rest in peace, something remarkable happened. With a roar, energy gushed out of Gar'zul and as it did, a huge rush of wind picked up from the dense surroundings and whipped around Gar'zul. The Troll's, now in disarray tried to flee, but the wind, sharp as knives, cut the Troll's apart. Seeing most of their breathen cut to pieces by the wind, the others fled. Only to be shot down by lightning that had been summoned from the sky.

Gar'zul had lain there, throughout the whole ordeal and just watched everything happened. After silence finally fell over the tribe's lodgings, he slowly blacked out amidst the burning remains of the houses and Troll children and women.

There story doesn't end there, but much has happened from that point, and Gar'zul is a deep and loyal follower of Aldarin, following him through fire and death.

Abilities: Mostly adept at offensive spells, consisting of Lightning and Wind type of elements. Can use others, and some minor healing, but he isn't very advanced at them at all. Abnormal Strength for someone his age, and fairly advanced at Swordsmanship.

((If you wish for me to change anything that doesn't fit with your view on Troll's, then let me know please))

That was a fun little read, you're in and with your character I'm going to close recruitment for now. Anyone that wishes to make a character sheet still can in case someone drops out. I'm cutting it off now so that there wont be too many peoples storylines to follow. I may create a second thread if it's popular enough and give time to those that were a little late if they're interested.

I took some of their comics and used paint to make a number of them. The rest I'm pretty sure I got off of a gallery in their site somewhere. Exactly where though eludes me. If you'd like them I might be able to archive all I've got and give you a rapidshare link.
