The Sun shined high in the sky, the Cave was deep but the Icy Chamber was still visible inside. The heat from the light was slowly starting to melt the Prison that the Princess was trapped in. The World outside the Cave was a deep Forest, people did not come to this Forest often. There was supposedly a large amount of Dangerous Forest Creatures here, as there were plenty of Graves to support such a thing. The Princess's Dark Blue eyes were still staring at the Cave entrance, her eyes mirroring a mixture of sadness and fear. She was perfectly preserved; not one part of her aged at all. Kyri was frowning inside her Prison, her long Dark Blue Hair still reached down to her lower back. She looked stunningly beautiful, and would have just about any Adventurer trying to free her. At least she had that on her side..

The Icy Chamber itself looked more like one large Crystal. It had plenty of Jagged edges, and looked somewhat like a Stalactite in Shape. The Ice is very thick, however in it's weakened state from the Warmth of the Sun it could likely break to one good burst of Magic or one good, hard swing of a Blade or Warhammer. Even a few Claw strikes might free Kyri from her Icy Prison. The inside of the Cave was overgrown with Moss and because of the Cool Ice, the Ground was slippery. The Walls of the Cave Shined from the Sunlight beaming down into the Cave; the whole Cave was still a bit Frosty and the Air itself was noticable Colder. The Cave was about Fifty Feet in length, a Ten foot high ceiling helped make it seem larger than what it really was.

All in all, the Cave was just as bright as it was outside due to the Frost on the Walls and the Ceiling. Now Kyri awaited an Adventurer to free her, or after a time the Ice would melt sufficiently to allow her to be free.. Whichever comes first..
I only teach those willing to learn.

Far away from where the ice cave is at, a small hidden village of humans trying to live a life away from the gods judgement, is set on fire. The humans run for their lives as the flames swollow their homes. Behind the running humans, stands Kage Ryu, walking toward them all with a calmed face on him. He slowly walks through the flames with a dark katana in one hand and a normal one in the other.

A man runs at him with a sword, screaming at him, and tries to take him out. But Kage just turns his body to dodge the sword and knocks the blade out of his hand with his. The man is now on the floor looking up at Kage in fear, "Why..Why are you doing this?! Your also a human!" Kage puts his katanas away into his belt and then grabs the man by the neck, lifting him. "Because, I'm not a disobedient pile of filth like the rest of the humans. I actually follow what the gods say." He then swings the man into the ground and looks down on him as he raises his right hand. His hand begins to gather a dark aura around it and Kage shows an evil grin as he looks at the man. The man screams as Kage slams his hand into him now and the scream could be heard far off out of the village. As the other humans that got out, they also heard the scream. Using it as a warning, they all begin to run even faster away from the burning village.

After the village fire had burned everything to the ground, Kage stands on a boulder nearby and looks at the remains of the village. "Another one destoryed." He tells an orb near him. The orb lets out a voice saying, "Very well, Kage Ryu. You have served us very well over the centuries. Continue your job." Kage replies, "As you wish, Might One." The orb vanishes and Kage begins to walk off.

Neil gripped the handle of his blade tightly, blood ran from his left arm coating his clothes in a deep red. A drip fell to the earth and a branch snapped, swinging around Neil kept an open eye for any more creatures. First it was a mother bear, then an onslaught of stupid little things Neil couldn't help but think were imps. Another branch snapped and he caught a glimpse of what was charging at him. Ducking he barely avoided the beasts jaws, he unsheathed the blade and before the creature could poise for a second attack the blade had come down on it's neck. A stream of red erupted from it's neck as it fell limply to the overgrown forest floor.

Deciding it best not to sheath his blade Neil continued through the forest. "I wish I'd brought my armor." He mumbled to himself. Leather was fine, but platemail was better, and he was feeling it now that he'd forgotten the plate back at an inn. Walking for a few minutes he kept his eye on the crisp greenery of the forest, the sun from above shot down rays of light illuminating the forest. If it wasn't so dangerous Neil would of been foraging for berries, mushrooms or something to eat, but that wasn't the case.

A clearing spread across Neils vision as he neared a small hill, directly in front of him was a cave. Swallowing he ventured forward into the depth of the cavern. Expecting it to be dark Neil was surprised when he found it nearly as bright outside, even more surprised when he saw a giant shard of ice in the middle of the cave. Seeing a girl imprisoned in the ice his jaw dropped. "Thi-This... can't be real.... Can it?" He asked himself as he sheathed his sword and walked towards the giant ice block. Pressing his hands against it he saw small cracks form. "I've found, I've Found it!" He exclaimed as a smile covered his face.

Surprisingly enough, Kyri hears Neil and shivers inside the Icy Chamber. It was starting to melt on the inside, too and Kyri was starting to wake up. She looked like she was in a bit of pain, maybe the Magic supply she had to keep the Icy Chamber up was almost empty. The Icy Chamber itself was rather weak, Neil could likely feel it crack a bit upon merely touching it.

Kyri almost appeared to be sleeping, if it wasn't for the fact that her Eyes are open. Her Bo Staff was leaning on the Crystal, it was also Frosty despite being Wooden. The Air around seemed to get slightly warmer with every second. The Ice itself was wet; it was still melting. At this point it wouldn't matter what would happen, Kyri was going to be free one way or another.

Shax'uth Xile, guardian of the "Tomb of the lich king" watched as a small group of explorer's entered his section of the catacombs. The tomb was real enough, but had long ago been sealed by the gods for the lich kings escape from death. Shax'uth had been one of the necromaner lords favored lieutentants, and had been turned into a fearsome undead creature..a nightwalker. He obseved the group, the ony one he worried about was the elvish priest, as he hated all that was holy. As the adventureres moved deeper into the cavren, he made his move. The 12 foot tall obsidain humanoid rushed the group from behind a boulder, smashing the fighter aside like he was little more than an errant child. He grabbed the supried priest, ignoring the burning sensation of the blessed metal. He squeezed, laughing as the metal bend under his inhuman power. The priest screamed for several moments before a sickening crack echoed through the rocky room. Dropping the broken corpse, shax'uth spun to eal with the others at his liesure. The only ones he could see were the dazed fighter and a burly man dressed in furs with a two-handed axe. Saddly, both were in range of his freezing aura..indeed it could freeze flesh solid, but only if exposed to it for an extende period..say a few hours. The remaining two fighters were quickly killed, the barbarians head crushed, and the plate-armored fighter impaled an a nearby stalactite. Such was the day of a monster.

Shriver the man-bear had followed the fish on their idiotic migration downstream as he always did. With hungry bears lining the mighty river, most of them wouldn't make it to their destination, and those who did wouldn't even know why they had bothered. They were easy pickings for a huge dominant bear like himself, the other bears in this area gave him no trouble either, they had soon learned that messing with a bulky beast with the logical thinking of a human was not a wise choice. What Shriver detested most about this time of year was the taste. The fish were wet, slimy, earthy and bland, perfectly adequate eating for most bears, but disgusting in comparison to the cooked meals he had grown up with. He had wandered far further downstream than usual, through a thick forest where animal life was abundant... and with any luck delicious.
Out of the corner of his eye Shriver noticed some sort of small furry mammal. If he had payed more attention to his fathers boring rants about nature and 'our place within it' he may have been able to identify it. As it was, he'd just have to call it 'furry rat thing' and hope it was as delicious as it looked. With a great leap he pounced down from his perch atop a rock and closed the distance between himself and the creature in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately the creatures survival instincts had got it that far and weren't about to give up. The furry animal sprinted of into the undergrowth equally fast. Shriver was not about to concede to another slimy fish supper and bounded after it. The stench of fear and adrenaline were strong in Shrivers powerful snout so the creature wasn't going to lose him easily. Shriver was fast and stubborn, but the furry thing had the ultimate insentive, and the knowledge of this alien environment.

Kage Ryu traveled across some distance and then got message from the gods with the orb again. "Kage Ryu, we would like for you to go to the Tomb of the lich King, and see how the forces there are holding up." Kage replies with a simple, "At once." The orb fades away again and Kage places his hands together. His hands begin to gain a dark aura again and he slams it into the ground. "DArk Gate!" The floor below him opens up with a dark hole and he sinks into it as it fades away.

Then, with in the Tomb of the lich King, Kage appears from a portal in the ground. Once he stands on solid ground, he calls out, "Shax'uth Xile! Come out!"

Overjoyed Neil had forgotten that the princess was in still entrapped in the ice. Looking around pondering on how to break the ice he thrust his hand into his pocket. Pulling out a large purple stone with golden runes covering it's surface he gripped it tightly in his right hand. Raising his left hand a ball of fire erupted from his palm, it's warmth caused the surface of the ice to crack. Swallowing hard as he always did when he was nervous Neil pressed the fire to the ice. Cracks erupted throughout the shard as he concentrated on keeping the fire aflame. The ice surrounding his hand began to melt, but it took time, Neil was growing impatient. He pulled back the arm and thrust it forward the force of the fireball exploding shattering the ice. Shimmering pieces of ice flew about as larger chunks fell to the ground, the large ice crystal had fell to reveal it's well kept treasure.

Neil didn't know what to do next, after all, what do you do when a legend is right in front of you. That alone is hard to deal with, imagine this legend was a beautiful young girl you couldn't keep your eyes off. Neil stood, his feet felt like they'd been turned to metal, he couldn't seem to move. He opened his mouth but words failed to come out. Hearing a bird screech brought him back to reality. Neil walked to the princess amid broken chunks of melting ice and offered her a hand. He wanted to say, At your service my majesty, or, Your highness, something like the hero's in the fairytales, but held his tongue in spite.

Shax'uth groaned inwardly at the voice Great He stomped to the front of the cave, standing within sight of the strange human, but not going into the sun "What do you what Kage?" He asked, his voice as cold as always. While they may've been on the same side in a sense, he hated the living, no matter who they served.

KAge looks at him, irritated by the reply, "I have come by orders of the gods to check up on your work. How have things been going her?" He could easily tell he was hated by him, but he had to follow the will of the gods. He then notices the human bodies laying on the ground nearby, "Been having fun I see?"

Shax'uth gave the man what passed for a smile "Indeed.." He picked up the broken corpse of the priest "The gods should really keep thier servants safer.." He told kage as he tossed the corpse out for the more wotldly human to recognize the symbol. "As for how things are, still quiet as a grave." He said, with what Shax'uth..or most undead for that matter, thought was funny.

Kyri felt the Ice Shatter, and immediatly fell to the Ground. She blinked in a Dreamy state for a moment before hearing her Bo Staff hit the ground, as it had nothing to lean on anymore. Kyri heard footsteps, and immediatly reacted by rolling onto her back, her hands balled up into fists as she stared at the Man. Was this the one who freed her?.. She speaks in a Whisper; she had no idea what this Man may do to her. He could try to kill her, or worse.. "W-Who are you?.." Kyri says, her voice having the ring of Royalty yet it was kind and soft.

The Ice itself seemed to shimmer brighter then normal Ice would; is it because it was Magical? Maybe. Maybe not. Kyri reach out to grab the strange Man's hand, taking it as a Helping Hand. Maybe he didn't want to hurt her, maybe he had another purpose in mind. Kyri's Eyes flared with Determination for a moment, only for a moment however before returning to their Dreamy state.

Kage watches what he does wth the human bodies and his reply. He then answers back, "THen I guess it wouldn't be a bother to let me look around." He begins to walk off into the tomb to look around the place. He was going to have to give a full fledge report back to the gods about how the things were here.

W-Who are you?..

Her question caught him off guard as he pulled her to her feet. "I-I'm Neil." He stuttered as he let go of her hand. Taking a step back he got his first good look at her and after regaining his composure and straightening his back. "Your name would be?" He asked forgetting what little manners he had. Again his eyes began to scan over her body, Stop it! he shouted in his mind. His body screamed Yes, his mind, No. As Neil waged an internal war against his urges he almost forgot to listen to the princess.

Shax'uth nodded reluctantly, mentally telling the cave systems inhabitants to leave the human alone..some would do it anyways, others not-so-much..
He turned and began walking back into the cave, gesturing for kage to follow

Derunto Makien sighed walking he knew he had gotten lost he had been walking through an icy area tired and hungry. He hand't eaten in about twenty hours he had to eat to keep up his strength he continued walking through the icy area his feet were feeling cold even though he was wearing shoes! He didn't want to imagine walking through this ice without any shoes that would be a problem.

He continued walking until he thought he heard a bear which mean food!He kept running until he saw a cave it was not just any cave he rubbed his cold face it couldn't be it was too impossible no way!He was shocked he looked to see a bear and than a girl encased in ice! He completly forgot that he was hungry but than again a bear was dangerous what if it killed the girl that would be a big problem.

He looked to see the bear offer a girl a hand he wanted to make his prescence known. He saw the ice shatter and saw the girl he saw her roll on her back. It seemed like the girl was speaking to the bear or whatever it was.He began walking towards the Princess smiling"Hi I'm Derunto"He said to the princess and the other person.

Kyri looks at Neil, seeing him look her over. She blushes slightly, wondering exactly what this man thought of her. Another man entered the Cave abrubtly, saying his Name. Why were they both staring at her oddly? Why are they staring at me?.. Aren't all Women as beautiful as me? Kyri thinks to herself as she takes a step back, kneeling down to grab her Bo Staff. She grabs it firmly in her hand before standing up again, her Dreamy state was gone. She was awake now, and ready to Defend herself. These two didn't seem like they would harm her though, so Kyri instead holds the Bo Staff like a Walking Stick.

Smiling warmly she addresses herself. "My Name is Kyri.. I'm pleased to meet you Neil, Derunto." She bows slightly before looking around the Cave curiously. It seemed untouched by time... Amazing.. Kyri thinks to herself before returning her Eyes to the two Adventurers in front of her.

Shax'uth inwardly frowned, he hated sharing his secrets..but Kage was'nt likely to tell anyone else. He began explaining about the animus process..turning a living human into an indefinitly preserved walking corpse, beholden to its master, but also able to use all of its skill & powers from life.
