The house wasn't exactly as loud as Lilly had expected it to be as she left her daughters room. The movers must have been on break or something. She quietly leaned on the wall, and heaved a heavy sigh. On top of most of the kids hating her, moving would only add to the list of things she would hate to deal with. At least should had her husband and parents to talk to. Lilly leaned forward again, and patted her dress to get the dust out of it. She started to head for the stairs, when she heard a small meow from the first step down. There sat a little gray and white cat, Tittlebumpkins, on the first step down. It coward and tried to hide in plain site, like all new-born kittens do.
Lilly bent down and picked it up. She cradled it for a moment and gave it a kiss on the nose, before putting it back down. Tittlebumpkins ran by Karmina, making sure to dodge the small child's grab for it or it's tail. It ran quietly over to Rachel's closed door, and squeezed under the door, which was just big enough. Inside her room, it meowed loudly, before running off to hide inside a nearby box, cowering inside, like a defenseless child.
Lilly patted Karmina as she passed by her to check on he step-son. Alistair's room was at the end of the hall, where Lilly had heard him pass-by to go many times while she was inside Rachel's room. The wooden halls wasn't very long, and he had one of the biggest rooms in the house. Lilly took a deep breath, taking in the history. She loved the smell, the feeling of this wonderfully old house. That was one of the reasons she bought it. She smiled before entering his room.
"Hey, hows the moving coming along?" She asked nonchalantly. She lightly leaned on the door. The room wasn't exactly to her taste already. "Where's that X-circle thing gonna go? It's so big and your rooms' so small!" She mused, smiling relaxed. But not for long.
"ALISTAIR!" Came the fathers voice. You could easily hear his heavy foot steps coming down the hall to strangle his son. As his bulking mass entered the room, a cheeseburger could be seen in his giant hands. "What is this credit card bill for a hundred dollars!? It says it's for something for PS2!?"
Lilly backed-up a little and covered her ears until he had stopped.
"Can you stop being so loud. You'll give me a headache. I'll leave you two alone then, hehe," She said, and left the room with the two mails, making sure to shew Karmina away from the area. "Let's go make some snacks in the kitchen. Maybe then everyone won't be so eretable....."

"Indeed, the one who was here is gone; but as long as there is one memory, in one mind, his presence has not left."
