So far, I live in a protective little bubble, so to speak, since I am always at home. But I know that will change, so I do want to learn something. I periodically try to look around the internet for things.
Yeah I'm 17. (Thought it said that on my profile. Oh well.) Turning 18 in March actually. Still though, people have thought I was much older than I was, starting from when I was 12-13. Mostly cause I typed using proper English.

I have to brush up on my medieval fantasy knowledge. Do ya'll know any good reads I can find on the web(as in free e-books?)? I have some books tucked away, like Grimm's fairy tales and other fairy tale books, but I still feel I'm lacking a bit.

Not sure what you mean by live action roleplaying. Me and my sisters do what we call "talk playing", where we play characters in third person, except when we say what they say, but mostly it's talking out the actions, except when we add in a little movement for emphasis.
But I don't have anyone to do it with besides my sisters.

Live action roleplaying. You go to a game for a weekend, make a character, create a costume and personality and remain in character for the whole weekend.
There are midevil fantasy, scifi, combos, werewolf, vampire, etc.
I play several, all of which are midevil fantasy. I am a cast member most of the time, but play too.
If you enjoy this or rping on mmos, I suggest looking in your areas and see if there are any LARPS. You ALL would be very good at them! :)

Sounds interesting, but what do you do? It sounds like you'd have to act out some of your actions, and how would you do that in for example, a sci-fi situation where there are no laser blasters and ships firing and such?
I doubt if I joined a LARP, I'd be able to play a male character since I'm female. >_> Though, I think it would be interesting to dress as my current character, though I'm way too short.
Could you describe some of your experiences as a LARPer? Like, places you go to, what you do, how you do it?

That looks interesting, it reminds me of Dagohir but with a story line and magic skills. Which BTW I rock at...never done large battles but I kick butt 1 vs 1.

Gor: It is a blast. The battles are fun, difficult but fun. I am a sword and board fighter but can fight with 2 weapons and polearms. LARP or boffer fighting is different than real sword fighting. There are certain target areas you can't aim for and for safety's sake light hits and no shield bashung etc. European LARPS are a little more aggressive, but Europe is less litigious lol.
Aringe: They were only guards, so I guess in this case it wasn't godmodding. Of course my opinion counts for nothing as I am not the GM :)
