I have 2 questions, do all of the people who get the toys end up knowing each other, or do they already?

And how do they get the toys? Do they buy them, because that would be a little confusing if they toys killed the toy store keeper and then the people buy them, or do they find them?

Oh the second question i can anwser~! If you read the intro it says that they kill the store owner and 4 of the dolls and whatnot run away.
Now the toys are going to be demolished since no one will take them, but they aren't going to let that happen. 4 of them escape and run. They have no where to go and decide to find a random person to stay with. Once they are all housed with different people they secretly meet every night and plan where to go from there.
