Hey just got back! Thanks for accepting Isabella- she makes a great soup out of rubbish. A very delicate cuisine during an outbreak if you ask me :p

And feel free to ignore a maid- she knows what it is like to be ignored- and even discriminated.

FYI, I am not African American and I am not being insensitive about the issue. I just feel like that she is a vital character (race, ethnicity, whatever floats one's boat) in a time like this. So if anyone has an issue about me using such character and/or characteristics, please PM me. We can discuss it and I can explain that I have no bad intentions. Thank you :)

I don't know why anyone would think you're being insensitive about racial discrimination simply by posting a mixed-race character... So I wouldn't worry about that.

Anyway! Show's on the road tomorrow people: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAg5KjnAhuU

OK, so due to the site apparently dying for a day or two, I'm afraid my opening has been somewhat delayed.

But it's up now! So go forth and write! I look forward to everyone's introduction- feel free to tie it in any way you like to my own.

Love the opening! OH gosh, I hope my writing stands up to yours. Just posted mine, hope I'm not jumping into the zombie-killing too quickly. Any problem I will happily change it.

I am going to MURDER RPG in its sleep. I've just been spending the past half an hour composing a post, and just as I click the Submit button, what happens? I found out the website has LOGGED ME OUT AND THERE IS NO BEEPING WAY TO RETRIEVE MY 300+ WORD POST.

And I can't even hold this off and repost it tomorrow, because I only post on weekends and it's Sunday. WHAT THE BEEP IS WRONG WITH THIS WEBSITE?!
This is a story about two boys
The taller one has a gun tucked into his waistband
He thinks the bullets are meant for him.
The older one has a record player in his head
He sings along to the same five songs.
They know each other
Down to the colour of blood
And the sound of bones breaking.
But they are strangers.
The one with the gun keeps forgetting the words
And the boy with the music won't let him shoot.

That's incredibly annoying... I tend to ctrl + c every post I do before I click the submit button just in case. I see you managed to rewrite it though, so thank you!

Lovechanningforever, I need to make sure we're all on the same page here. This is taking place in London, England, not the Americas. Slavery has been abolished for 49 years, so Basil would not be her master.

Master, is just my reference to employer. I believe butlers used to call their employers Master, if I'm incorrect then I'm sorry. Besides she calls him Mr. Granger, not master. I'm the one who refers to him as her master.

If you guys want to know more about Isabella, you can check her character sheet.

Speaking of London, I conducted additional research regarding its 19th century appearance and I couldn't help sharing and verifying living conditions. To my understanding, mod-post industrial boon London was not only the economic and political capital of the world, but also a center for coal pollution. I seem to also recall one of Charles Darwin's survival of the fittest arguments and it stemmed off of butterflies. Country-based white butterflies provided suitable camouflage against insect consuming predators while black butterflies survived in the surrounding London area due to the soot stained trees. Would it be safe to describe Farringdon Road's surroundings as soot stained and with a blackened skyline or is that illustration too grimy?

I agree, if I'm not mistaken it is also the time where aristocrat's have higher power than the poor and can do pretty much what they want with trespassers. Shoot them (inside their property) and they are still not jailed.

Northern, I am still thinking of making up a male character. Is that alright? If so I will fix up Rebecca's sheet, do his sheet and then post for both.

Actually it was peppered moths around Manchester, the details of which were published a while after Darwin's death, but you're right in that London was pretty notorious for its smog. And I have no idea about the minutiae of trespass law in Victorian England, I'm afraid...

No problem Skulls, I look forward to your post!

I know, thanks Tania- I've posted.

And sorry for the monster post, people. I don't intend for all our posts to be the length they are at the moment but I'm aware they can occasionally creep into the gargantuan particularly during action scenes. Do feel free to use much shorter posts when suitable (e.g. during dialogue with one other person)- it's all about quality not quantity.

Also, how do people feel about the utilisation of chat and/or PMs? I've never used the chat before but in previous RPs I've regularly conducted off-shoot one-on-one scenes over PMs and then posted them to the main thread when they were finished. So I'm more than happy for you guys to do the same when you want to.

Should have the character done tonight and a post brewing for tomorrow.
