Description

Blair Hallen

Age: 19
Gender: Male
Role: Waiter

Personality: Blair may appear unapproachable, brooding and superior. In reality he simply isn't socially inclined. He doesn't like anything being out of his control. Mistakes are the bane of his existence, he holds on to his failures for a long time. So when it comes to being with people he is usually quiet. He doesn't want to offend people, misjudge someone or even assume anything about who they are. So he keeps to himself most of the time, even his close friends are kept at a certain distance. The less he exposes the less mistakes and failures he'll suffer. Behind all this is a proper gentleman. He keeps his tone polite and considerate. Always thinking of others before himself, thus his so cautious. He is particularly good at listening, he very rarely judges anyone and has difficultly saying no.

Experience a new start where he could avoid the mistake made in his past. His mother wasn't ready for the change of scenery and so remained in the UK. He was also lucky to have arrived at the start of high school years. Although he had some difficulties with the schooling system he didn't suffer from falling down a grade. His father spent much of his time working and so Blair was in control of his own life. Yet despite all this, the barriers he had kept up prevented him from realizing what he truly wished to achieve as a life. So currently in a gap year of soul searching he moved between jobs. Blair Hallen was rather uncomfortable as he stepped lightly down the street. He made a notable figure. Tall, broad and well groomed. As much as he would never admit it, he was used to the second glances from most of the ladies and some of the men he passed. No, his discomfort was nerves. He carried a rather tatty box in both arms as he walked along. Sometimes he cursed himself for being who he was. It was disconcerting enough when he actually went and asked for a job, putting himself out like that wasn't his comfort zone. So now, on the first day of the actual, he was just as worried. The base of the box was coated with wet grime, thankfully he had decided to wear a jacket today and so no marks were left on the uniform he wore underneath.

None of his nerves showed as he walked up towards the small yet popular cafe. Wandering around the back he carefully maneuvered his elbow to press the handle and awkwardly got the door open. Thankfully no one was around to catch his embarrassment and he stepped through the corridor into the staff room. He stood framed in the doorway, slightly awkwardly. He looked a little lost, not the best impression to make on his first day. He didn't even know anyone other then the owner, Eros. He of course could recognize some of the stuff when he walked past them. His uncertain silence was broken though. The unpleasant journey through the door had caused the quad of kittens to eventually wake and start mewling rather pathetically from the box he had found them dumped in.

"The sky seems... happy today..." A soft whisper to no one. A lone man laid down on the rooftop of an abandoned apartment and idly stared at the sunny weather and the slowly moving clouds. There was a brief wind every now and then and with the clouds constantly passing by him, sheltering him from the sun, it felt really nice. The breezes of the wind and the soft piano song from his phone often calms him down. It helps him forget about the past and just move along with flow of time.

Leon was absorbed listening the music and staring at the sky as soon, he slowly drifts into sleep. Five minutes later however, he quickly sprung up. He remembered that he had recently found some kittens abandoned by the street and because of reasons, he wasn't allowed to keep them. He had been taking care of those little fellas since then and it was around this time that he heads out and feed them again.

He stood up and brushed the dust off his pants. He closed the music program on the phone and slid it back into his pocket. He went ahead and exited the apartment without greeting his boss, Akito. It wasn't a necessity to do it; well, not to him. Leon had then reached the streets where crowds of human were everywhere. Leon did his best and blended in with the crowd, avoiding any unnecessary physical contact with anyone. Soon, he had finally reached where he was suppose to go. There is, however, one problem. The kittens weren't there, along with the box.

He got scared. What if someone took them away and decided to put them in a pound? What if they decided to use them as baits for whatever they were about to do? He couldn't think clearly and positively. He charged back into the crowd and looked everywhere. He was getting more and more desperate until he found a rather tall man holding a box he recognizes ever so well. "There it is. Gotta get it before anything happens." He followed the man, still dodging any sort of touch, until he saw the man enters the popular cafe, 'Beating Heart Cafe'. He got nervous again.

While that place was famous for their 'lovely next encounters', he despised it. He wanted to stop, but the fact that his kittens were taken randomly by some guy who doesn't even know that had gave him enough reason to enter the place. He hid his face in a hood and entered the cafe rather suspiciously. He quickly looked around for the man who took the box, but he can't seem to find anyone of the sort nor did he saw the box anywhere. He took a seat and lowered his head, turning around every now and then to find if the man was still here. If the man wasn't a customer, he could have been a worker here. Now Leon's hoping that his gut was right.

Blair turned around in doorway at the light voice behind him. Looking at the young woman with curiosity, he didn't know her. Did she work here? He had no idea since she wasn't wearing a uniform. She was shorter than him, most woman were. Her long blond hair hung in a heavy braid down her back. He didn't know her age but he considered that the braid made her look younger than she actually was. The door's weight attempted to bring it back into it's frame, instead it bumped against his shoulder. The edges of his lips twisted up in a small half smile as she offered her help.

"Thank you, but I'm okay. Of course you can see them."

He lowered the box slightly so the woman could see inside at the fluffy tabby kittens. They looked up, four sets of beady eyes as they struggled for attention. Even Blair, who was a "man", couldn't deny how cute they were. He let the new arrival reach in and touch the small ones. Although he didn't expect her to attempt to remove them. He wouldn't do anything if she did and he didn't expect he actually could do anything while holding the box. Her attempts to soothe his worries didn't really concern him. Few people in their right mind would actually go out of their way to hurt a set of kittens. By accident possibly, he just hoped that didn't happen.

"Um..."

He said, somewhat nervously as the woman cooed of the balls of cuteness. He had to address the problem about what to do with them. He didn't think she was a worker here but he had to know for sure. Even if she wasn't it shouldn't be too embarrassing, since he had already seemed to make good impression with the kittens.

"Do you work here? Since I'm new I'm not sure what to do. I, uh, didn't have time to take them home."

Kezia pet the little balls of fluff and cuteness with a gentle hand, smiling at the little animals. The man may have said he was ok, but she still worried if he was struggling. His words managed to bring the woman out of her thoughts, her nutty brown eyes meeting his.

"Oh, no sir, I don't work here. I'm really sorry! Sh-should I not be back here? I really should've checked first..but I thought you looked like you could use some help..not that you are incapable of course! I just wanted to make sure. And, well, it's always nice to know someone is concerned or willing to offer help.."

the girl babbled on quickly, trying not to offend the gentleman. She really needed to learn how to act her age. His explanation of the kittens earned him a nod of understanding. That made sense, if he was to bring them home, he'd risk being late for his job, which would certainly not look good, especially if he was new.

"It's still very nice of you to take the time to try and help them. I..I don't work here, but if you were willing to part with them, I could take them to the farm I work at. Or I could just watch them if you wanted to take them home after your workday?"

Kezia offered the man, petting the kittens again. It was honestly hard to resist just petting the little ones.

Dae Calse

With hands stuffed in his pockets and a lazy grin on his face, Dae strolled down the sidewalks, whistling a cheerful tune and surveying the areas around him as he made his way to his favorite CafĆ©. As soon as it had opened he had pretty much claimed it as his own, a complete regular and also one who went into pretty much every room in that shop with little repercussion. It was a shame, though, really. He spent practically all of his spare time there, and yet the manager refused to give him a job, no matter how much he begged. But Ari wasnā€™t one to give up so easily. At his musing, a soft chuckle passed his lips, and he soon found himself at the door. A brilliant smile lit up his face, and he flung the door open wide, the small bell at the top of the door jingling to announce his arrival. Normally, he would have called out to some of the workers there, or had gone to hunt Eros down, but as he took a few steps in, something had caught his attention.

A low, appreciative whistle squeezed through his lips and filled the cafƩ, and Dae had his gaze set upon a particular individual, to which he quickly rushed over to with wide eyes and a half grin. He leaned over the first barstool, hands placed comfortably on the cushion and looking at the guy seated a couple chairs over.

Odera Barlin

Odie quietly peddled along the roads, back straight and wind whipping through her hair while the sun leant itself for warmth. A gentle smile was presented on her lips as she eased her bike around a corner, the Beating Heart CafĆ© now in sight and she was rapidly approaching it. Otter had a total of three means of travel for delivering in her job: truck, bike, and simply walking. Seiri had requested a few ingredients, which Odie had been more than happy to fulfill, so she had taken her bicycle today. It was a really nice day today, and it just made Odieā€™s heart happy to be out and about doing things to benefit other people.

She soon came skidding to a halt behind the building, letting her feet raise up above the pedals as she gently applied the brakes. The two bags in the woven basket between her handles rustled a bit from the wind change. Otter soon walked her bike over to the wall before getting off of it and leaning it against the building. After rubbing down the wrinkles in her shorts, she seized the bags by their bottoms and carried them to the door. Except, there happened to be a bit of traffic, as two people seemed to be standing in the way of her path, and a box of some kind shared between them.

As Odie approached, she soon discovered that the box contained none other than little mewling kittens. A hesitant smile teased at the corner of her lips, but she breathed gently and looked up at the two, ā€œOh um, ah, sorry, can I just squeeze past you guys, if it wouldnā€™t be too much trouble?ā€

Eros C. Valentino

A block away from the new cafe a white car was parked close to the sidewalk. Its small body was shaded by a nearly tree blocking the harsh sunlight from its passenger. If you peer into window you would a snoring Eros with his head leaning against the window.Tired from the early morning routine he thought he would catch up on some sleep before he headed into his cafe. He didn't lack any sleep though--that is a full 10 hours rest last night meant he should have enough energy for the morning. But alas, his body constantly craved for slumber.

A low hum and soft shake awoke the God of love. He slipped his hand into his pocket bringing out a white rectangular phone to hush the annoying alarm. "I'm late." He sighed heavily as he slipped the phone back into his jeans pocket. Normally he would allow himself a couple more hours to sleep--it wasn't like anyone would scold the owner for being late--but today a newly hired employee would have his first day. He should at least greet the new boy into the cafe and brief him of his job--or force Shima to do it for him.

He climbed out of his car, making sure to lock all doors and walked the rest of the way. He yawned ever step of the way and dragged his feet across the pavement. As he approached the entrance of his cafe, he could see somewhat of a commotion in the shop. "The day just started and there's already so much happening." He smiled to himself as he approached the three, two of them he recognized as the "errand girl"--as he referred to her-- and his new employee.

"It's just your first day, and you're already causing some trouble." Eros said to the male blond in a playful tone. "What's all the commotion about?" His attention was stolen by the ball of fur peeking out of the box. He bit down on his lip stopping the urge to scream like a little girl and reach inside to pet the kittens.

"Are these a gift for me?" He smiled at Blair jokingly. "Normally I wouldn't allow any pets in the building, but if they're for me I'd make an exception." He winked playfully at the male.Of course he was joking, pets were in fact not allowed but he didn't want his newest member to get into trouble on his first day.

Blair inwardly smiled at the blond's ramble while being distracted by the felines. He didn't interrupt or respond as she talked, gently listening. He had met people who just talked on and on, he usually got along well with them since he didn't mind just listening. He also wasn't surprised that she was treating him very formally. He gave that impression and didn't mind, it did tend to keep people away in some situations. In his waiter uniform he looked like he fit the role perfectly. He was about to, slightly eagerly, take her up on the offer. He didn't necessarily want to get rid of the kittens, he wouldn't mind having kept them being a little lonely as his place. Yet it might be the easier route and he expected the young woman to at least offer a better home than a box on the street. He was about to accept.

He immediately froze up when yet another woman arrived and asked to push past. Now she looked like one of the workers and Blair had to hide his flustering. He had been thrown a hope to escape from this awkwardness and then it was suddenly removed. He did shift back, pressing the door closer to the wall and moving himself out of the way. Unfortunately that drew the box and the slightly disappointed kittens away from Kezia, whom he didn't actually know by name. He was already rather straight backed and rigid as it was but the next voice he heard made him tense, obviously. Blood rushed to his cheeks at the embarrassment. He had hoped to avoid this. It seemed that the lifeline thrown to him was tied into a noose. He took a sharp breath. He had to deal with it now, with luck he wouldn't fail before he began.

"I'm sorry sir. I happened to come across them in an shortcut on the way here."

He looked down his feet, a small sign of the fear and nervousness he felt, although he couldn't actually see his feet. Instead he was looking into the box and the cute fluffy animals. They did help to ease his nerves slightly, until he looked back up.

"I didn't have time to return them home. I was hoping there was somewhere I could leave them until my shift was over. Although... Uhh..."

He looked to the pony-tailed young woman, realising that they hadn't formally introduced met each other. She didn't know his name and he didn't know hers. That would make for all sorts of awkwardness, Blair knew since he had a terrible trait of forgetting names quickly. Ultimately, unless she visited the cafe sometime and he wasn't fired, he wasn't expecting to know her much longer. A little bit of a pity, he didn't have many friends after he moved.

"This lovely lady offered to care for them."

Moving aside from the door as the woman asked to get through, Kezia waved her hands apologetically.

"So sorry! I didn't mean to hold up the area! I was keeping him here, so please, it's my fault. I'm sorry, it won't happen again!" she quickly apologized, feeling bad for so rudely obstructing the way. She felt a bit embarassed, bemoaning her tendency to get caught up in things and forget her surroundings.

Before she could say anything more, a new voice interrupted her thoughts, and the young woman turned to face where Blair looked, feeling even sillier at being caught by what she assumed must be the owner, judging by how the blond male addressed him. Hearing him gently berate the blonde with the kittens, she opened her mouth to protest and take responsibility for holding him up, but the gentleman beat her to it. Kezia flushed slightly at the comment of 'lovely lady'. He was a nice gentleman!

Glancing between the kittens, the blond male and the owner, she lifted her hand slightly, signaling she wanted to speak.

"Pardon me sir. I fear I kept him lingering with my chattering. Please don't be mad at him! He was trying to do a good deed is all. And I will take the kittens until he can pick them up and take them home. If that's ok that is? I'll be sure to watch over them until he collects them. But please..don't get mad at him for helping the little ones!" Kezia explained in defense. She truly hoped the blond wouldn't get into trouble because of her holding him up. She'd feel awful.

Image Haru smiled her star lit smile that got the customers squealing with joy they did when they saw her. She wore her normal daily male uniform. The only one who knew she was a girl was Eros himself. She nor Eros has told about anyone about this situation. According to Haru, she felt it better to dress as a male, it gets her by.

By the time she got to the Cafe, Eros had enter-countered himself with a box of kittens. She was later herself, and noticed she wasn't the only one late. "Eros...sorry to..interrupt...but..." Her voice was low and mellow. She looked down. Never once did she make eye contact with Eros during their whole time of working together. In fact the only ones she did ever look in the eyes where the customers. If the customers were not around, Haru is nothing but a blank piece of paper.

Even though he was the only one to know of her secret, she still kept distant from everyone who worked here. She would do her job right, without any questioning to it.

She closed her eyes half way. "..Can I have a word with you..Sir?" She gripped the sides of her shirt tightly. But she kept her respectful tone.

She did take her time to bother with the animals, even though she enjoyed them. work came first to her and Eros was who she need to speak to and privately.

Eros turned his attention back to box of kittens. Eros was an understanding God. He wouldn't get angry with new employee. He peeked into the large window of the shop thinking of a place to hide the balls of fur. Keeping them in the kitchen would be an automatic visit from the health inspector. It would be too hot to keep the kittens in the employee locker room. He frowned a little as he listened to the male's excuse.

The frown on his face was broken to a small chuckle hearing the customer's attempt to rescue the male. "Well if you wish to stay for eight hours in our little shop, I won't stop you." He flashed his famous heart warming smile. "But I have to make a small request, would you mind staying at the corner of the shop just to hide the kittens? I wouldn't want other customers to be bothered them, nor do I want them to be bothered by you."

He smiled playfully at Blair. "For your punishment, you have to serve this young lady for the rest of the day. See to it that she get's comfortable. After all it will be a long wait." With that Eros moved closer to the entrance about to step foot into the office until he was stopped by a familiar voice. He turned over to pink haired girl and arched his brow. Normally he would ask if it could wait but by the body language of the girl it seemed urgent.

He nodded and smiled warmly. "Of course, Haru. Let's talk in my office." He opened the door gesturing for everyone to enter the cafe. "Let me just find someone to show Blair around." He followed everyone inside and scanned the now busy cafe.

"Shima!" The young God practically screamed his name from the entrance, merely smiling at those who looked over at him. "This is Blair, he's new so play nice and show him around. Alright?" He smiled at Shima playfully patting the male's head.

"Please make yourself comfortable miss." He smiled at the customer gesturing for her to take a seat in one of the booths. "Just call and someone will come take your order."

He bowed at the rest and turned his attention to Haru. "Let's go." He said warmly leading the pink haired maiden to the back of the cafe and into a small office. He walked over to his wooden desk and sat on the surface letting a great big yawn. "Have a seat." Said as he rubbed the corner of his eye, gesturing for her to sit on the nearby chair. Now that customers were no where in site, he dropped the serious "owner" act and went back being the sleepy and lazy God of love. "What's the matter?" He asked Haru once she sat down.

Odie

Suddenly there was an immediate explosion of chatter and excitement around her, and she sort of just shrunk back against the wall, still not having entered the cafĆ© as more and more people arrived and spoke interesting things. She simply hoped that she wasnā€™t in the way of any of these people, and therefore kind of shrunk in on herself. She really didnā€™t take heed of the golden haired girl who had tried apologizing, as she really didnā€™t mind it at all, other than the fact that Seiri might be a little disappointed she still didnā€™t have the things she needed.

As Eros arrived on the scene, she kind stepped to the side and held the bags closer to her chest, and as he poked fun at the new guy here at the cafĆ©, she couldnā€™t help a small smile coming onto her face. But it really wasnā€™t her place to be here anyhow, and Odie really should have been in the kitchens five minutes ago, and yet another person, one she actually recognized, sort of merged into the group.

Haru was a nice guy, but really reserved around everyone who worked at the cafĆ©. It was sort of weird really, considering she didnā€™t necessarily work there, and yet the boy still avoided all gazes with that reserved look of his. Otterā€™s curiosity peaked when he asked Eros to speak privately, but she quickly scolded herself for wondering about other peopleā€™s personal business.

With the hubbub around her, Odie apparently got lost in the scene, as all attention was focused on Eros, but everyone was still positioned at a point where she thought it to be rude to try to interrupt and push past them. So there she remained, waiting patiently for all of this to dispel, when suddenly Eros decided to call Shima over to assist Blaire around the restaurant, thus making Otter come to a quick decision to make a break for it as swiftly as possible.

Ducking her head, she sort of wormed her way around the masses, making soft apologies for miniscule bumps, but otherwise made it through without any real issues. As she skirted to the left and through the kitchen doors, she came upon the scene of a slightly panicking Seiri and blood dripping onto the floor. A look of horror filled Odieā€™s features, and she quickly- though carefully- placed the bags on a nearby counter before appearing at her side to assist. She highly doubted that the kitchen held medical supplies, which was a little ironic considering that was where all the sharp, pointy, and dangerous things were located, but went to grab a clean cloth to stem the small blood flow.

ā€œAh, Seiri, youā€™re hurt, hold still for just a secondā€¦. Do you need any help with stirring or anything? Would you rather me do that instead?ā€ It was a little hard to discern whether she should be focusing more on Seiri or on her food- mainly because the woman always seemed to have a greater concern for the latter, and Odie didnā€™t want to make her more stressed by asking her to stop working.

Kezia felt a wonderful relief wash through her as the owner pardoned the blonde man, even going so far as to insist she be 'served' by said blonde for the day. Flushing in flattered embarassment, she offered her arms for the box once inside.

"Of course! I wouldn't want to cause a commotion, and I'm ok. I don't have anything important to do today, so I really don't mind! All I'd really need is something to drink and maybe a small bowl of soup if you have it. Please, don't let me keep you too much! I don't want to be a bother!" Kezia chimed before realizing she hadn't properly introduced herself. She squeeked in dismay before deciding to correct her mistake.

"I'm so terribly sorry! I didn't even think to introduce myself, so you know who is going to watch over your precious kittens. I'm Kezia Darby. I-It's very nice to meet you both!" she said with a slight bow of her head, smiling brightly and offering her hand to the two men.

Blair nodded silently in response to the decisions made, he let make decisions around him. He didn't mind. As long as they were content with the results he most probably would be. Also, he didn't want to give Eros a reason to change his mind. When Blair had met the man and got the job he seemed kind enough. Also enhanced by the actual reputation of the cafe but Blair didn't know for sure and wasn't about to make assumptions that would cost his job. Although he was somewhat pleased by the decision made by the owner, he didn't mind just serving this one lady. She wasn't unattractive and it would help him actually get into the flow of how things were done here. Although eight hours was a bit of a long shot, there wasn't much reason for her to stay the whole time. He would've like to keep the kittens but having her wait so long was ridiculous. He'll let her take them home, or to a farm once he actually started working.

He was a little bothered by the fact he was getting in everyone's way. First the other girl, then the owner of the cafe of things. There was also the pink haired waiter to contend with and whoever was going to be showing him around. He had made the decision to work here but he doubted he was going to enjoy having such a horrid start. From his experience the first day was usually the worse and when it was this bad he had suffered for the rest of his term of employment.

"Please to meet you Shima, I'm Blair Hallen."

Despite the older man speaking faster Blair caught pretty much everything and could fill in the blanks reliably enough. He silently listened to Shima Shoose's introduction after introducing himself. Answering the question without elaborating. He wasn't the best of cooks and had never engaged in learning many sports, including martial arts of any kinds. Additionally he didn't want to spend too long learning the ropes. Shima had only really pointed out what Blair could have figured. He was thankful though, it did mean he didn't fumble with the basics and that would help him learn more.

"Yes. I'm a waiter, I was just hired. Thank you, I think I can handle it"

He turned to Kezia, coating of his mostly expressionless gloom with a small sincere smile and a larger fake one. He held the door open for her to enter. He put his gentleman demeanor on Over-The-Top mode. He didn't need to try too hard. The upright, butler posture was already there as well.

"Miss Darby, it's a pleasure to meet you. If you would be so kind as to find a seat that suits your fancy I will return with your soup."

He moved off dropping into a back room to remove the dirtied jumper he was wearing, glad to find the uniform underneath was untainted. To his surprise, despite his skepticism he had found that that simple action of inviting Kezia in had brought up a trace of confidence. Perhaps he wasn't going to suffer in this job. Checking that his hands were clean and hair was controlled he returned. Careful not to bump into the young woman who headed out of the kitchen he placed the order for a soup before quickly returning. Although not without a concerned glance at the chef's bandaged finger. He spotted the table Kezia had claimed and headed over.

"Thank you for taking care of them." He said sincerely, if slightly guiltily. "If you want you could take them to the farm. I don't mind, as long as their home isn't a box on the street. Umm, you never specified what you want to drink."

Feeling an odd combination of flattered and suddenly shy, Kezia nevertheless smiled brightly at the gentleman. Having sat herself in the corner, she pet the kittens, whispering sweet assurances to them that they were ok and that they were behaving ever so well.

Just as the girl took out a book to read, she heard the gentle voice of the new waiter once more, a smile lighting up her face.

"Oh it's no trouble at all! I'm happy to help. They really are adorable, and you were so kind to help them!"

Kezia reassured the man, only to shake her head as he spoke of letting them go. Maybe he really wouldn't mind, but she knew if it were her, she'd be tempted to keep them. Besides, he had gone through the trouble and mentioned bringing them to his home.

"Oh no, it's perfectly allright! I don't mind waiting, I'm sure you want to keep the little guys. I can relax here and read, plus, I get to spend a day with adorable kittens!"

Kezia countered him sincerely, showing him she did in fact, have a book or two in her bag. Realizing he still might argue, she raised a finger up, indicating he listen.

"If it really will bother you sir, then the only compensation I might want is maybe..taking one of them for myself? If you don't mind, that is!" she offered, resuming her petting of the adorable balls of cuteness and fur. Honestly, it was hard to resist the urge to squeal in joy and hug the poor little things. They probably wouldn't like being hugged and loudly fussed over.

Brought to reality by his inquiry, Kezia flushed in embarassed realization. Of course! How silly of her! She really was hopeless sometimes. Looking at Blair apologetically, she pondered what she'd like.

"Oh! Of course..that was dumb of me. Um..I'll have an iced mocha please."

Blair smiled back at Kezia's sincerity. He silently thanked Eros for the appointment of tending to her for a day. Although he felt a flush of embarrassment every time she rejected his offers. She was kind enough in her words and demeanor to help him relax and not push his failure. He perked up when she showed him the books, he was considering about asking what books they were. If there was one thing he loved, it was reading. Although there was certainly more than one thing he loved as he tried not let a massive break his composure. Now he wasn't as worried about his job he could actually allow the fluffy cuteness of the kittens to get to him. He made no motion to speak, even before Kezia indicated his silence with a finger. She had made her decision and he couldn't exactly argue with that, even if she wasn't a customer.

"Of course you may Miss Darby, Kezia. Four of them would probably be a handful for me."

He let it drop to first name terms. He had a feeling she would reject the formalities. Not to mention he wouldn't mind to get to know her better. Also, there was no rules about that in this cafe. As far as he heard. The formality and uptight, butler attitude was his own. So he could make the exceptions he chose. He let a small smile slip as she seemed a little flustered by the fact of forget the details.

"No problem. You were distracted." He nodded at the box of kittens as he began his retreat. He wanted to give a good impression the first day and promptness would probably help. Also he didn't want to keep the young lady waiting.

"Alright, I'll be back with your drink and hopefully your soup."

He moved through the cafe again. It wasn't difficult to avoid people, although the popularity of the cafe was already obvious. his attention was caught by a small commotion coming from Shima. He paused and watched with a frown, he was being notably rude to this new arrival. Although Blair knew nothing of the problem and couldn't form any opinion he also didn't see how Shoose could make one so vehemently. Although Blair did recall that Eros had mentioned having guards. Perhaps Shima was one, which would somewhat excuse his suspicion at the somewhat shady looking man. Although to Blair's relief Shima started to apologise profusely. Although by now his attention was drawn away.

He gaze had been drawn past the two, through the window and the other side of the street. A small figure slumped in the darkness of the opposite alleyway. It always shook him seeing that, just like with the kittens. No one should have to spend time on the dirty concrete of those places. It was unhealthy and horrid. He cursed his bleeding heart sometimes. The amount of times he had picked up and fed or paid some beggar or homeless was notable. He just couldn't stand seeing anyone in that condition. Glancing around he noted that everyone who was there seemed preoccupied. Kezia's attention seemed to be on the kittens. He hoped no one paid too much attention as he slipped out the door and crossed the street.

He was mildly surprised when someone else reached the figure first. Just as much as he was surprised when he saw the young woman. She seemed certainly far too clean to actually be the sort of person he found on the streets. Her long brown hair was smooth and straight. She didn't seem to a have speak of dirt on her pale skin, her clothing was only dirtied where she sat down. It was he face that caught him most. She wasn't ugly, quite the opposite. She had a quiet, delicate beauty that made Blair's breath catch. Yet. Yet her face almost seemed gaunt like drawn into a perpetual frown.

In a way it made it even worse, why was someone like her sitting in a dark, dirty alley? He felt a pang of sorrow, adding to the concern from earlier. There was something about her that reminded himself of himself, always keeping his appearance controlled. His worry was clear in his voice. He didn't ignore the other man, in fact he was relieved that the two knew each other. It didn't prevent him from speaking though.

"Excuse me miss. Are you okay?"

Kezia smiled at the blond waiter, flushing in delight as he agreed to her 'term' of giving her one of the kittens. He seemed to be more comfortable now, dropping the last name and talking to her in what seemed to be a more relaxed manner. It made her smile all the more, glad to make friends and see people comfortable and happy. Before Blair could leave, she waved and smiled cheerfully. It was nice of him to be concerned, but she didn't want him to overly concern himself. Besides, she wasn't going anywhere.

"No need to rush! I'll be here whenever it's ready, so please don't worry!" she chimed, waving goodbye to the kind waiter. She sipped the complimentary water from her tumbler, about to begin her book when a shadow and then a voice interrupted her.

Glancing up, Kezia found herself looking at a young man around her age looking down at her and, more importantly, at the precious kittens in her charge. He had an air of uneasiness around him, though she couldn't fathom why. About to ask if the man was ok, Kezia noticed the intensity of his gaze on her box. Cradling it protectively, she was glad she sat on the outside of the booth, the kittens nestled between her and the wall. Tilting her head in confusion at his words, Kezia felt a small bubble of unease in herself. Now what was she to do? If they truly were his, she didn't want to deprive him or steal. But then again, Blair obviously cared a great deal about the future of the little kittens. Besides..something bothered her about his statement.

"Your box sir? But..but why was your box outside? And...if the kittens are yours, why were they outside in the cold? Shouldn't you have them inside? Taken care of?" her tone was not angry or overy confronting, but there was concern in her eyes.

Image Angel Kalovar Angel continued to gaze curiously at the cafe then sighed. Just as she was about to get up, she heard a familiar voice. Angel jumped slightly in her spot and her heart began beating quickly. It wasn't like she was going to tell Akito that she actually wanted to go inside. Angel smiled up at Akito.
I like being alone.
Was the excuse that her "genius" mind came up with. She did like being alone, but that's really no reason to sit on the dirty ground near some bags of trash, especially for someone so finicky about cleanliness. Angel realized, but she couldn't exactly lie again. She sometimes asked herself why she lied to people about such pointless things.

Angel certainly wasn't expecting to hear yet another voice, and it was not a familiar one. She looked up and seen a younger looking man with blonde hair and bright blue eyes. He was quite attractive, but Angel didn't really notice. She didn't pay much attention to those things anymore. What appealed to her most was that a random stranger came up to her and took a few seconds out of his life to help an ugly girl sitting in an alley. Angel slightly smiled at him and pushed herself off the ground. She dusted her clothes off and showed another small smile.
I'm fine, thank you for asking.

Previous and traumatizing events from Angel's past didn't cause her to become cold towards anyone, she just became depressed and blamed only herself. She would still smile at strangers if they made eye contact, help a stranger with a small issue or just act kindly towards others. Like said before, she doesn't blame anyone but herself, so why take it out on others? Angel remembered that the alley she found herself in was where "Leon's" cats usually were located. She looked beside herself and noticed that they weren't there anymore. Angel looked at Akito and sighed, forgetting about the other blonde for a few moments.
Leon went in there earlier, and I think I know why...
Angel pointed towards the empty spot.
There's usually a box of stray kittens there and I've noticed that Leon has been visiting them everyday. He probably when looking for them, but in the completely wrong spot. Also, Zeron is most likely in there looking for his own "kitten" to bring home.
Angel said in a delicate tone. She rolled her eyes at the last part of her sentence and sighed.
