Nicknames: Kid, Brat, Ly
Age: Appears 11, is 23
Appearance: Lyle's appearance is unchanging due to a previous incident in his life involving Gene Tonics, Adam, and the horrible underside of Rapture. With a short height, blond hair and blue eyes, and an appearance that feels conflicted (as there are times, usually when he is serious about something where his body language feels like his actual age despite his appearance), he has an average skin tone. Depending on his mood, however, his appearance could change in the eyes of people from someone who appears wimpy and weak to someone who looks reliable and determined.
Plasmids and Explanations: Gravity Well, which creates a well of gravity that will suck things in before bursting, which he uses to handle everything from mag locks to groups of enemy splicers. He also has another gravity plasmid, Gravity Force, which is in a way similar to Sonic Boom and Gravity Well. It allows him to create altered volumes of gravity, which can let him do things like walk on walls, push enemies back, or stop an object from falling. Lacks the pure power of Gravity Well, but can be used more precisely. Finally, and making him one of the largest Plasmid Wielders in Rapture that is not a Splicer (for reasons in his history), he has Electrobolt which lets him control lightning, Incinerate which lets him shoot fire, and Winter's Grasp which lets him freeze objects and people solid. He has these to allow him to have a greater deal of flexibility in any given situation.
Tonics and Explanations: Lyle is in possession of a few unique tonics that are unavailable to the market, or at least that is the excuse he gives. But they are technically tonics, so they will be listed here. The first, and this should raise a red alarm of what he endured in his past, is called "Little Brother" though he calls it "Friendly Freaks". This makes Big Daddies not be hostile to him and even trust him, and Little Sisters to not mind his presence. As such, he is capable of resolving issues that occur from those groups peacefully, instead of a drill to the gut by the non Big Daddy. Additionally if they are not currently escorting a Little Sister, if attacked Big Daddies will come to help him if nearby on their own accord.
His second is "Natural Recovery", which allows him to naturally recover Plasmid energy faster then others. Or at least, that is the excuse. Truthfully that too is because of the previous "Little Brother" phenomenon.
He also has the latest and more advanced versions of "Sports Boost" and "Physical Might", which increase his physical ability. Though due to the unchanging state of his normal body, Physical Might does not show as much effect on his body as it would an adult's, only making him somewhat stronger then the average adult. Those are real tonics though.
Before Rapture: N/A
Life in Rapture: Lyle was born and raised in Rapture, but not by his parents. He was for one reason or another abandoned at birth, and therefore was raised at an Orphanage. His childhood mostly consisted of playing with other children at the orphanage, learning about how people and life (as well as machinery and hacking) worked down here, and getting things working again. It was about the average mischievous boy, except that Lyle seemed to be a bit brighter and holding more ability then the others.
But everything changed when one day, scientists came and took him away. The Little Sister issue had always been one publicly voiced in rapture, but another argument was "Why only girls". And so these scientists aimed to learn about the second one through their own experiments, while also potentially adding to the ever dwindling supply of Little Sisters they had. And thus he became a part of the "Little Brother" project, through the implantation of an Adam Slug and the use of various experimental gene tonics. And although in some degrees it did work...in others, it did not.
The mental conditioning failed completely, and in the process he managed to inherit a few plasmids from some of the Adam they used during the experiment. WIth all the pain and drugs they had pumped into him, he ended up going berserk...by the time he came to, his body had completely stabilized and while he looked human, nor could he feel any Slug inside him, there were clear permanent aftereffects. Small but notable things, like the ability to sniff out Adam better then others, and not minding the smell of the Big Daddies. However he cant sniff out Adam across entire rooms like a Little Sister could, and he certainly was not immortal like one. He just stopped aging.
Opinions on the Ideology of Ryan, Fontaine, Atlas, Lamb, and Other Notable Characters: He honestly does not trust a single one. Ryan was responsible for what the scientists did to him, and as a bit of a "Peace Offering" sent him one of their heads with a note that if he tried to learn who he was or came after him again, he would do everything in his power to bring Ryan down and that he should "Leave him alone". Fontaine was dead (Or at least Lyle was unaware he was still alive), so he didn't bother sending him anything, but Atlas he just avoids. Lamb is a nutcase in his opinion, and he is pretty sure she knows what happened to him and wants him, or his body, for some weird psycho experiment.
He does sympathize a bit with Porter though, and therefore Lyle has active dealings in Minerva's Den from his own little piece of Rapture, Lyle's Logistics and Solutions. And while some of his feelings are mixed, he is overall agreeable with Tenenbaum.
Least Favorite Splicer: Spider. They creep him out. However, if you count jealousy, it is the rare Brute Splicer.
Weapons and Training: The only weapon he can really carry is a pistol, but he also keeps a folding sword he created in case of emergencies. He carries all types of ammo for his pistol though, and is familiar with other weapons even if he does not regularly carry them around.
Other Tools and Equipment: He is the proud owner of a Hack Tool modified personally for easier use and linked to his genetic code, and also keeps with him a variety of tools from repair tools, to an emergency lockpick kit, to other miscellaneous things.
Other Skills: He learned how to cook at a young age and is decent with a wide variety of skills, showing more of a Jack of all Trades type of ability.
Where in Rapture do you live?: He lives in his office at Lyle's Logistics and Solutions, which has some basic household appliances built in like a kitchen and a shower in the back. He sleeps on a makeshift bed he had moved in, and only with the doors locked and the security system on high alert. This is located in West Alley, a new part of Rapture put in the Western District. Notably, if one looked at where he positioned himself, they would notice that Lyle's spot is optimal, out of the way enough to avoid regular issues, and just in the right spot to make it easy for him to move around and hard for him to track. It is quite literally prime real estate in Rapture for those who don't trust the people who run it, or most people.
Opinions on Adam: Mixed...he hates the stuff and what it was used to force into him, but...its really hard for him to think that when he himself is attracted to the smell and has some biological conditioning to love it.
Personality Notes: Although he might seem bright, cheerful, friendly, and childish to some, anyone observant enough can notice he doesn't really trust people, at least not easily as it is known there are some he trusts. When he is serious, even with his appearance it is hard to call him a child though because of the air and body language he displays.
Strengths: Wide adaptability with Plasmids and Tonics, and is still able to splice more. Although not specialized, has a wide variety of skills. Is fairly exceptional at tech stuff and fighting though.
Weaknesses: Nothing he really specializes in too much with hacking and tech being the closest, or perhaps Plasmids and fighting.
Opinions on Big Daddies: Embarassingly enough, even though he seriously sympathizes with them and what they went through, his own conditioning makes it so he treats them as if they were his own dad and he really was a child...he is always embarrassed after such an interaction though.
Other: He sympathizes the most with people who get caught up in the issues of those higher powers, and especially those who are forced into joining the conflict against their will.
