ImageRaelyn had flipped the chicken and then checked on the pot. The water had finally boiled. She poured the raw macaroni elbows in the pot. Then she added some salt and oil before covering it. Rae moved back to the frying pan and moved the first set of chicken from the the pan and onto a plate. The next set of raw chicken was put into the frying pan. Rae glanced over at her sou chef with a tiny smile. Cooking was always easier when someone else was in the kitchen. Even though, she always rejected help she always appreciated. Her focus was back on the food and it was silent between the two. "Raelyn...why do you and your brother live alone in the middle of nowhere?" Although, the warlock had been opening up a bit more it still caught her off guard when he spoke up first. "Oh well.." Rae quickly made sure that all the food on the stove was okay just so she could talk without having to focus on it. "Our parents were farmers. They raised animals, sold crops, and every other stereotypical thing a farmer could possibly do." She started with a smile. "Izzy and I were born and raised on this farm. We went to school miles away and then would help out around the farm. After our parents died, we decided to just stay here." Rae stated nonchalantly. "This is home and the last thing we have of our parents. It would just feel wrong to leave." The farmer girl couldn't imagine life on the farm, there were so many memories here. She glanced at her pot of macaroni and stirred it.

ImageRowan listened in silence to everything Raelyn said. He was never one for talking, especially if there was no real point to it. But, although it didn't always appear that way, Ro had always been a skilled listener. He listened to every detailed and stored them in the back of his mind. Sometimes for good, other times for revenge. It depended solely on the person. But in Raelyn's case, he was genuinely curious about her. About this seemingly insignificant farm girl that had somehow caught his attention, not that he would admit it to anyone. It took every ounce of willpower to admit it to himself. "I see..." he muttered, eyes focused on the work in progress in front of him. He could relate to her story in some ways. He too was without parents, however in his case they hadn't died in some freak accident. Arabelle and her grandmother had become his only family, and now that the latter was gone, much like Isaiah and Raelyn, the two were alone in a world full of people that didn't like nor want them. "Done." he announced a few seconds later, stepping aside to let Raelyn inspect the finished product.

ImageRowan was a very good listener. He was standoffish, but still open. It makes sense to how Arabelle was so close with him, besides the obligation. He let people talk and didn't rudely interrupt them. He was nice and Rae was starting to appreciate that and was also starting to get used to it. "I see..." Rae smiled a bit as she focused on her food. Such a simple response, but he responded. Which means he was actually listening. They were silent once again and that gave the chef time to finish the chicken. She set all of it on a plate to cool off and set the frying pan in the sink. Then she turned off the stove top and covered the macaroni and cheese. Her dishes were complete and she was more than happy with them. "Done." Rowan was done too. Rae grabbed a fork and scooped some of the potato salad that he made into her mouth. She chewed it slow and then smiled brightly at him. "It's perfect!" She admitted. It was rare that someone actually made a decent dish in her kitchen, even with assistance, but this was amazing. Rae didn't have time to praise him, everyone needed to come and eat. "Dinner is ready. Could you go get Arabelle while I grab the others from outside, please?' She made sure to ask politely as possible and sent him off to grab someone he liked. Rae wiped her hands on a towel and headed outside to grab her brother, Ben, and Jade. They had been working super hard in the field so she knows they are all hungry and tired.

ImageSomehow, Rowan felt nervous about what Raelyn would think of what he made He watched as she moved over and tasted it, letting out a soft sigh of relief he didn't realize he was holding, the moment she said it was "perfect". He was then tasked with going to wake up Arabelle while she got the rest. Rowan felt she was doing much more than he, but he didn't argue. One because he still was feeling the effects of the spell, and two, because he truly did not want to deal with any of the people that were outside in the field. Raelyn could deal with them herself. He nodded, letting her know he understood, and headed up the stairs. He knocked once on Arabelle's door and waited for an answer. When there was one, he pushed the door open and made his way inside. "Time for dinner." he somewhat called out. Arabelle had never been that hard to wake up.

Image Arabelle did not get any sleep. She had originally tried to sleep, laying on the bed and getting comfortable. But that had failed, when she had begun tossing and turning. She even trying humming herself to sleep and counting sheep and that didn't work. So instead, she just laid on the bed. The witch thought about everything awful she had done since her grandmother had died and it saddened her. Arabelle has done nothing but cause trouble. She bothered Rowan to no end and even got him in trouble by association. She put a death sentenced on her head. Then she went ahead and started having feelings for the farmer boy and then put a death sentence on his head as well. Arabelle is trouble and now she feels like she is about lose the few days of happiness she had. Glancing over to the side table, she picked up the glass rose that she had gotten when her and Isaiah had gone to the market. A sigh escaped her as she just stared at it. Then there was a knock on her door, followed by Rowan letting himself in. "Time for dinner." Dinner? She didn't realize how long she had been up here. The witch set the rose down and sat up. "Alright." Arabelle pushed herself up off the bed and then started heading out the door. She didn't say much else as she walked out the door, heading down the stairs to dinner with Rowan.

Raelyn headed out to the field were Izzy usually spends most of his time. Him and Benjamin were hard at work and Jade was off to the side. Probably at the boy's request. They never let her or Jade do any hard work. Jade is better at convincing them to let her help, but today clearly wasn't the days to attempt to convince them otherwise. "Izzy! Ben!" She called out to them. "It's time for dinner. Come inside." She said waving for them to head on over. Ben noticed Rae and nodded. He wiped his hands on his jeans and started heading over to where the girls were waiting. He set his tools down before standing next to the girls. "Are the other two still here?" Ben asked, arms crossed with some hostility in his voice. Rae nodded. "Why?" He questioned, confused to why Rae still even trusted the two after the lies and putting them in danger. "Because they are hungry." She added with a shrug. Raelyn wasn't about to explain why people deserve second chances to the most stubborn person on the planet. "Can't they get food somewhere else?" He asked. Rae crossed her arms. "As long as you agree to take and eat with them." Raelyn added. Ben huffed and didn't say anything else after that. Rae wasn't changing her mind about the strangers, so he was done arguing.

ImageRowan had fully expected a complaint out of Arabelle or some sort of mumble telling him to go away, but much to his surprise and relief, she did neither. She simply said "Alright" and made her way out the door. The warlock watched her until she was out of view before turning to look at what she had set down on the nigh stand. He examined the item, a glass rose, before setting it back down himself. Was this hers? Where had she gotten such a thing? He was tempted to ask, but he had never been one to be nosy. Not to mention it wasn't anything that could pose a threat. There was no reason why he should even care enough about it. He quickly turned on his heels and followed suit, headed back down to the kitchen. Raelyn and the others weren't back yet, which was a big relief. Rowan gave Arabelle a quick look over to examine her state of well-being. After pulling the stunt she did, he couldn't help but to worry.

Isaiah had been working his butt off without saying a word, partially because he wanted to finish what he was doing. Mostly because he was deep in thought. About everything. Everything that had happened, not just today but from the moment Rowan and Arabelle stepped into their home. True, he had been the one to invite them in, but in his defense there was no way of him knowing what these two would end up being, and what this meant for him and Raelyn. So now that question remained. What would happen to them now? If all this was true...if there were people out to hurt and even kill Arabelle and Rowan, then what would be of the people around them? Isaiah had left the kitchen determined to kick them both out. He needed to protect Raelyn and himself above all, but as he worked out in the field and cleared his thoughts a bit, the whole thing felt too...cruel, and anything unlike he'd ever done before. He couldn't kick them out. At least not without an explanation first. "It's time for dinner. Come inside."

Raelyn's call pulled the farmer boy out of his thoughts as he lifted his head. He watched as Benjamin made his way over to her and Isaiah began to pick up his things. He hadn't finished just yet, but he never liked leaving a mess behind. He could somewhat hear what the two were talking about. Ben clearly did not want the guests staying any longer than they already had, and were it a few minutes ago, Isaiah would have agreed. However, he'd not one to deny others help. He's also not one to blindly make decisions. "Cut it out Ben" the farmer boy muttered as he walked past him and his sister. He gave Jade, who had been sitting on a tree trunk a few feet away, a soft smile before heading towards the kitchen. The brunette watched until he had made it inside and decided to quickly follow suit.

Benjamin was in a state of shock when Isaiah had just told him to knock it off. He thought they were on the same page about the strangers. Clearly not. It didn't matter anyway. Ben knew they weren't going to stay for long. Not after everything that happened. The two strangers had just put everyone in danger, it would be dumb to let them stay in the house any longer. The twins were just too nice to kick anyone out. But he wasn't. He just remained quiet for now and followed them to the kitchen. Raelyn was genuinely nervous about what was going to happen. It was almost like two sides of war. Each side was upset with each other, one way or another, and at any moment something could set them off. Rae was hoping that everyone would just eat in silence. They all reached the kitchen and the magical siblings were there waiting. "You two could have started eating.." She informed them as she made her way to the cabinets. Rae pulled down plates for everyone and just started piling them each with food. She didn't mind serving everyone. Ben quickly came up and took his own plate, so that Rae didn't have to bring it to him. "Thank you." Ben stated before taking his seat. Rae smiled and nodded back at him. Then before serving herself, she took two plates over to Rowan and Arabelle. Arabelle looked to Rae. "Oh. You didn't have to bring us the plates, we could have gotten up." She stated. Raelyn smiled. "Don't worry about it. Eat." The chef went back to get her own plate and then take a seat at the table with everyone. It was rather silent. Ben didn't let the silence last for long. "So when do you two plan on leaving?" He questioned before taking a bite of his food. Raelyn eyes grew wide a bit before glaring. "Benjamin! Why would ask that!?" Ben just shrugged as he continued to eat. "You don't have to answer that." She assured the siblings. Arabelle didn't even look to anyone at the question. She wanted to leave as soon as possible, but she didn't think that would be smart since their location is known. They may be hidden, but not for long. Arabelle just began eating the food on her plate.

Jade's eyes met Arabelle the moment they walked inside the kitchen. So they were still here. Though she did not want to be like Ben and practically blurt out that she wanted them to leave, she did. She was not very fond of either, most importantly Arabelle. There was just something about her that did not sit well with the Brunette. Still she didn't say a word. "You two could have started eating.." she heard Raelyn say as she took her own plate just as Isaiah was doing.

Izzy made sure to quickly join his sister and helped serve. She couldn't do all the work herself. He was about to tell the guests to stand and grab their own plates, because everyone here had to do their fair share, however Jade and Ben did so before he even got the chance. They already knew how things worked. Izzy also grabbed his own place and walked over to set it on the table. He looked up, preparing to tell Arabelle and Rowan to go get theirs, when he saw Raelyn heading over with their food. Izzy couldn't help but roll his eyes. Though they were both the type to treat guests well, Raelyn had always been way too nice. Especially now, after everything that had happened. The only thing that made Izzy feel a bit better was Arabelle's response. Otherwise he would have just thought the two were taking advantage of their hospitality.

Rowan had fully planned on not only getting his own plate but also his own food, however Raelyn didn't give anyone a second's chance. Before he could even blink, she had already served their food and was over at their side with the plates. Rowan immediately nodded in agreement to Arabelle's protest, but didn't say anything else. One, because he was starting to feel very hungry and wanted to eat, and two, because he simply did not have the energy to argue.

After everyone had their food, they all sat around the table. It was quiet at first, and far from feeling awkward, Rowan was thankful. He could eat in peace. However a particularly annoying voice ruined that. "So when do you two plan on leaving?" Raelyn immediately scolded the guy for it, but that didn't make it any less irritating. Arabelle, Jade and Isaiah remained silent, all eyes on their food. Rowan, however, just couldn't do that. "That depends" he said, taking a sip of his water and locking eyes with Benjamin who was across the table from him. "When d you plan on getting a better personality?".

Isaiah bit on his bottom lip, not wanting to make the situation worse, though Rowan's comment tickled his insides> Mostly because he was not expecting it, and he could already see Benjamin's response. Finally he couldn't hold it anymore and let out a snort, eyes moving over to his friend to catch his reaction. Rowan remained stoic, his gaze fixed on Benjamin. He had never been the type to cower away from confrontation and this man had been asking for it from the moment he stepped inside this house.

Benajamin was waiting for Arabelle to come up with a response. She is the one that has been mostly talk to the group the entire time with the other warlock just giving the group looks. But it was Rowan that spoke up. "When do you plan on getting a better personality?" No one was expecting it. Especially Ben. His jaw dropped and for a moment it was silent. And then Isaiah, his best friend, started laughing. Arabelle soon followed after and Jade not so far behind. Ben couldn't believe that the people that were supposed to be on his side had laughed. "I have plenty of personality!" He attempted to defend himself.

Arabelle rolled her eyes at the comment, after she finally calmed herself down from laughing. She couldn't believe that Rowan even bothered to entertain that idiot. "Excessively flirting with Raelyn and trying to show off does not count as a personality." She said with a smirk. She didn't care if it was mean. Arabelle had been excessively nice to Ben for the twins, but Ben was extremely annoying and rude to Rowan for no reason. He deserved it any and every mean comment. Especially because everyone, but Raelyn, knows that he was just trying to get with the cute farmer gal the same way he gets with everyone else. And by the look on Rae's face, she was still coming to terms with that idea. Ben also looked shocked and even more hurt than before. Arabelle almost started laughing again, but she just smiled to herself as she continued eating.

Raelyn was glad that everyone was laughing, but she was not happy that it came from people attempting to hurt each others feelings. The point of the dinner was to clear the air and be friend again. Though the tension in the room was no longer as strong as it was before, it wasn't gone. It still felt like it was humans vs warlocks and Rae didn't want it to be that way anymore. She just continued to eat, unsure of how to make that situation better.

Arabelle finished eating. She hadn't realized how hungry she was, but she was glad for the excessive amount of food. She was going to miss Rae when they left. "I guess I should actually answer your question. For the sake of the twins." She stated, after cleaning her hands with a napkin. "We are not leaving until we know that you all are safe." Arabelle stated as if it wasn't a big deal. "It is all my fault that all of this is happening, so I am going to stay and make sure that nothing happens to you because of it. And I am just assuming Rowan is going to help because he knows that I can't do anything by myself." She said, glancing to him for a moment before looking back at the twins. "As soon as we know you guys are okay, we won't bother you again." she added.

A small, very small part of Jade felt bad for Benjamin, but if she had to be honest with herself, he really did deserve it. She pressed the back of her hand to her mouth full of food to keep from laughing loudly, but Ben's reaction was truly priceless. She lifted an eyebrow at Arabelle's comment, not entirely surprised that she had caught onto Ben's crush. Really, the only one that had always remained oblivious to it was Raelyn herself.

Rowan had not expected the reaction he got out of everyone over his comment. He wasn't trying to be funny, in fact, he was one hundred and ten percent serious. Benjamin had irked him from the moment she showed his dumb face, and though the warlock had never been one for confrontation, he just couldn't keep quiet any more. So the fact that everyone laughed truly threw him for a loop. He snorted at Benjamin's answer, a very lame one at that, and continued to eat in silence while the others piled onto his statement. At least he wasn't the only one annoyed by his presence. His eyes, however, didn't stop short of watching Raelyn and her reaction. She looked confused, as if all of Benjamin's flirting and attempts to get into her pants had flown over her head. Which, to be honest and knowing now how she was, that was probably the case.

"We are not leaving until we know that you all are safe." Arabelle's statement pulled his attention away from the farmer girl to the real issue at hand. He listened in silence as she continued. [b]It is all my fault that all of this is happening, so I am going to stay and make sure that nothing happens to you because of it. And I am just assuming Rowan is going to help because he knows that I can't do anything by myself. As soon as we know you guys are okay, we won't bother you again."[b] as much as he hated to admit it, for once in her life she was right. They couldn't leave the siblings alone, not now that there was a whole coven headed their way. A very dangerous, ruthless one at that.

"I'm sure we can take care of ourselves, we've done it all these years." was Isaiah's first response as his forked stabbed at the chicken on his plate. Roman gave his the usual eyeroll and swallowed before speaking. "No, you can't. Not this time. This isn't a heard of street bandits you'll be up against, you get that right?". Izzy only stared at the warlock, not entirely sure how to respond. Roman took it as a signal to continue. "We'll find a way to lead them in another direction, so they don't come anywhere near here." he explained, though he had yet to figure out how they would do that. "And like Belle said, once we know you're safe, e'll leave. You'll never have to see our faces again." the last part of his statement was more of a mumble, but still loud enough for everyone to hear.

Benjamin seemed to be please by that idea. Izzy, however, didn't like the sound of that. Not one bit. "Who ever said we don't want to see your faces again? Don't be so dramatic." he muttered, doing everything possible to avoid eye contact. Yes, he may have practically said that in different words earlier when he yelled at them to leave, but that was then. He was angry and confused. This is now, a more rational Izaiah that doesn't really know if he wants them to leave or not. The thought of never seeing them again, especially Arabelle, makes his stomach twist in discomfort.

At the statement, "we won't bother you again" Benjamin had a smile on his face. He was more than fine with never seeing these two again. They show up, lie to the twins, try to make a fool of him, and use the twins for their resources. They didn't deserve the kindness that Raelyn was reluctantly showing them. Especially because they were all in danger now because of the two. Without them, the family wouldn't have to worry about dying. "I'm sure we can take care of ourselves, we've done it all these years." Ben nodded in agreement with Izzy. The twins were just fine on her their own. Rowan didn't think so. Ben just rolled his eyes, not really caring how serious the magical beings think this situation is. He thought the others would have felt the same way he did about getting rid of the magical creatures already so they never have to see them again, but he was wrong.

"Who ever said we don't want to see your faces again? Don't be so dramatic." Raelyn smiled slightly to herself at her brother's words. She knew that her twin would come to his senses. Though he had a right to be angry before, it was good that he had calmed down. "You would have to visit us, of course. We always appreciate the extra help around the farm and I love having extra mouths to feed." She stated with a warm smile, ignoring the annoyed look on Ben's face. Although the witches hadn't come with told the truth in the beginning, they were still good people. Rae never felt like she was in danger with either of them. They helped around the farm, although Rowan seemed as though he would rather be anywhere else. And just the thought of never seeing either of them again, especially Rowan, put knots in her stomach. She is going to keep that to herself.

Arabelle was unsure how to respond to the twins. She was shocked that either of them would want to see her or Rowan again. They lied and put them in danger. And yet, they were still extending their kindness. The witch has never experienced such kindness from anyone. Arabelle would love to see both of them again, but she doesn't think she will be alive in a few days. The coven was angry and Arabelle was tired trying to fight back. All of her efforts have failed and now she has put innocents in serious danger. She has lost her enthusiasm for trying to make the coven good. If given the opportunity to offer her life up in exchange for Rowan's and the others, she would. "Then we will have to visit. But only for the food." She said with a small giggle. Arabelle ran her fingers through her hair and stood up. "I'm going to go for a walk." She glanced to Rowan. "I promise to come back." It was her little way of letting him know that she wasn't running off to do some other stupid thing. She moved away from the table and headed out the front door to walk around the farm. She had finished eating and wasn't tired enough to go to bed, so she figured the walk was better than sitting at the table.

Raelyn frowned a bit when Arabelle left the house. Something was wrong. She looked to Rowan, but then she looked to Isaiah. "Go." She whispered to him, not caring that he wasn't completely done with his food.

Despite how rude he was being about it, Jade couldn't help but agree with Benjamin. The pair of strangers had overstayed their welcome, but knowing Izzy and Rae, they'd be too nice to tell them to leave. It's not so much that Jade didn't like them, not that she did, but she didn't like what they represented. Not only had they lied from the beginning, but they meant trouble. Because of them now everyone in the farmhouse was in danger. So When Izzy affirmed that they could look after themselves, she nodded slightly. She couldn't quite tell if his response to Rowan's comment was to be polite or if he truly meant it. Just an hour or so ago, Izzy was dead set on kicking them out. And the circumstances hadn't changed. They still lied and they still put everyone in danger. "You would have to visit us, of course. We always appreciate the extra help around the farm and I love having extra mouths to feed." Jade rolled her eyes, wondering what in the hell possessed Raelyn to say that. Why would she want them to come back?

Though he didn't say anything out loud, Rowan could tell Benjamin was itching to see them leave. That irritated the warlock to no end. Not necessarily because wanted to stay, though if he had to be honest he kind of did, but because this wasn't his house. He didn't live here either, so what right did he have to decide whether they stayed or left. His attitude only irked him more as every second passed. To the point where Rowan was practically making fists underneath the table. "I'm going for a walk" Arabelle's comment pulled him out of his annoyance long enough for him to look up and hear her say "I promise to come back." Rowan's lips pressed into a thin line as he watched her go. He didn't want to be the type to nag her. He wasn't her father, nor was he her brother even. But something told him she shouldn't be left alone. As he contemplated whether to follow her or not, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Isaiah getting to his feet.

Raelyn didn't really have to tell Isaiah to go after Arabelle. The moment he realized Rowan wasn't sure of whether to go or not, the farmer boy took it upon himself to do so. Maybe it was none of his business. Maybe he would just be a bother to her, but after everything that had happened, he didn't like the thought of her being alone. Not to mention it would be nice to talk to her without Benjamin or Jade judging his every word. So he quickly got to his feet, giving Rowan and quick nod or reassurance, before heading out and follow Arabelle's trail. She hadn't gotten very far. Izzy quickly caught up to her, but remained a few steps behind her and walked in silence. He wasn't attempting to keep hidden. He knew she would figure out it was him that was following her, but he simply did not know what to say. So he walked behind her in silence, hoping she'd turn around and speak to him first.

Rowan remained in his seat for all of five seconds before getting up and gathering the empty plates. He already knew what Benjamin was thinking. That he and Arabelle were only here to cause trouble and were practically dead weight. But that was not the case and Rowan would not stand for a mere human to think of them that way. Especially not one with such a rotten personality. "I'll do the dishes" he said to Raelyn. "Just sit" it was more of an order than a statement. She had made them all their food, now it was his turn to do something in return.

Arabelle took a deep breath of fresh air the moment she stepped outside. It was dark now, but that wasn't going to stop her from wandering around the farmland. She just wanted to clear her head and think about how she was about to save the humans from dangerous magical beings that wanted her and Rowan dead. The witch had an idea already she just didn't think that anyone, especially Rowan, would let her follow through with it. So she needed another one. A good one. Arabelle crossed her arms and continued to wander, not really paying attention to where she was going. She could hear the steps behind her. The witch knew it wasn't Rowan because he usually just falls in line next to her. Jade and Ben don't like her and Rae was too busy trying to keep the peace to leave the Rowan with the other two. Arabelle stopped walking and turned to face Isaiah. "Did you come to see if I was going to do something dumb?" She questioned with a small smirk. That's usually why Rowan went with her anywhere. "You don't have to answer that." She quickly added, running her fingers through her hair. Arabelle would be lying if she said that she wasn't curious about why Izzy had come out here. Though he had seem to forgive them in the kitchen, she didn't really believe it. She knew she had hurt him. It was evident when her and Rowan admitted everything. "Was it Rowan or Raelyn that sent you?" Arabelle questioned curiously. There was a small part of her that assumed it was Rae, since Rowan still was indifferent about Isaiah.

Benjamin was still upset about this entire situation with the witches and the twins. Why were they still here? Why did the twins even want those two around? The entire house was in danger and Raelyn was brushing it off as it was no big deal. Izzy wasn't helping either, by forgiving them over dinner. The twins were too kind and stubborn. It was going to get them hurt. He was done trying to convince them of that. After Izzy went to watch Arabelle, Ben got up and headed upstairs without a word.

Raelyn watched Ben go upstairs, a small frown on her face. She didn't like when her friends were upset, but she knew there wasn't really anything she could do to make Ben feel better. All she really wanted to do now was clean the kitchen and just make sure everyone got to bed okay. Rowan, however, beat her to it. He started gathering the empty plates. "I'll do the dishes" Rae wasn't going to let him clean up himself. She began to stand up, but Rowan had basically ordered her to sit back down. The farmer girl did as she was told and just watched instead. Clearly, she had no say in regards to cleaning the kitchen. Usually she is able to clean with no protest from her twin or her two other friends. They help, but she is usually in charge. This is the first time she has just sat back and let someone else clean.

Rae looked over to Jade. "Umm..I don't know how long you and Ben had planned on staying, but you are free to roam my closet for pajamas and clothes." She knows that they had come for the one night, but now it seemed they would be here a while. She just wanted to let Jade know that she didn't have to stick with the same clothes. "The same goes for Ben." She would go up there and tell him herself, but she didn't want to make him more upset. He just needs a moment to cool off before Rae can speak to him. And she would have sent Izzy to make him feel better, but he was with Arabelle right now. Hopefully, Jade can help calm him down.

ImageIsaiah figured Arabelle would guess it was him tailing her before she even turned around, and judging by the non-surprised look on her face when she did turn, he could only assumed he was right. He stopped walking immediately, keeping a safe distance between them so as to not be in her space bubble, but still being close enough that she wouldn't think he was scared of her or otherwise upset. Although, in the back of his mind, Izzy knew he should still be upset with her not only for having lied from the very beginning, but also for what she tried to do on her own that put her life in danger. That that he somewhat understood how dangerous it was, he was inclined to feel more upset about that than about anything else. But above all, he was just worried. Worried that she was hurt, worried that she was in danger, worried that she might think he and Raelyn hated her and Rowan. "Did you come to see if i was going to do anything dumb?" Izzy opened his mouth to respond but was instantly instructed not to. He closed it again, tilting his head like a confused puppy. "Was it Rowan or Raelyn that sent you?" part of him wanted to just say it had been Raelyn, because aside from it being the truth it wold show that the both of them were worried about her. However, something deep inside him didn't like that fact that she assumed he had been sent, as if she thought he wouldn't have come otherwise. "Neither" he replied simply, letting his folded arms fall at his sides. "No one had to send me...i was just worried." he cleared his throat slightly, looking for the best way to word his worries without sounding ignorant. "Are you...feeling okay?" it was a generic question, yes, but it's all he could come up with for the time being.

ImageRowan was glad Raelyn didn't try to argue, because he was not in an arguing mood, nor was he going to sit back and watch her do all the work again. He quietly listened to her and Jade's conversation as he washed the dishes, wondering the exact same thing Raelyn was. Would the two be spending the night again? A small...well no, a big part of him...or rather all of him wished they wouldn't. Not so much for the brunette, but for the annoying brat that had just stormed out of the kitchen like a five year old when they didn't get the toy they wanted. Rowan had always been a patient man, but even such patience had it's limits and Benjamin sure knew how to push them. "We actually didn't plan on staying the night, Rae" he heard the brunette explain, and couldn't help but feel a small wave of relief, though it was short lived. "But it's gotten dark already and it's dangerous getting out of here at night so we might just take you up on that offer." the warlock rolled his eyes and focused them on the dishes again. He knew she had a point. Not to mention, the moment they stepped out of the protective bubble he had cast over the farm, they were as good as dead. It was way too soon for the coven to have gone astray. Still, did they really have to stay? "I'll go tell Ben." the girl jumped up from her chair and raced up the wooden steps in the same direction the brat had gone. Once she was out of sight, Rowan let out a soft sigh. It was going to be a long night.

Image"Neither" Arabelle was genuinely caught off guard by that answer. Raelyn was the only human in that room that showed any true care for the twins after everything. And Ro was always checking up on her since she was always getting in some kind of trouble. And she was about to ask why he even bothered coming outside, but Isaiah already answered her question. He was worried...about Arabelle. She didn't want to dig too much into it. Not right now. Not when she still didn't believe that he would ever actually forgive her for what she had done. "Are you...feeling okay?" Arabelle let out an airy laugh, running her fingers through her hair. "That's a loaded question..." She walked towards the fence and leaned against it. "Physically...yes. Rowan is really good at healing and anything that involves magic..." She didn't even really feel the effects of what she had done anymore. "Emotionally...not so great." Arabelle admitted. There was no point of lying about it. "I'm angry. Really angry. At me and everything I have done to lead to this moment. The moment where I put two of the nicest people in danger because I'm selfish." It was weird hearing her feelings out loud. She usually just tries to spare Rowan from her emotions, since she can be a bit dramatic and it never seems like he cares too much. She looked to Izzy. "I'm really sorry. I don't really expect to be forgiven, because I wouldn't forgive me. But I just want you to know that I am sorry and that this was never supposed to happen." Arabelle could feel tears coming to her eyes, so she quickly looked down at the ground.

Image Raelyn knew her two friends never really stayed this long, but this was under different circumstances. She wanted to make sure that they were safe. She knew that Ben wasn't going to be happy about having to stay here with the magical creatures, but he didn't have much of a choice. Jade ran of to, hopefully, break the news to Ben and try to keep him calm. Rae looked over to Rowan adn kind of just watched him for a moment. She didn't understand why, but she actually felt like she needed to apologize on behalf of her two friends. Despite everything, she still wanted them to know that they were welcome and that she forgave them. "Thank you...for cleaning the kitchen." She started, gently running her fingers through her hair. "And I am uh sorry about Ben...he means well..." She tried, but she was sure that Rowan didn't care much for Ben's feelings or that he 'meant well'. "I can leave you alone to finish, if you want." Rae knows that she likes to talk and Rowan...doesn't. So she wanted to allow him some peace if she could.

ImageMaybe Isaiah had followed Arabelle without no concrete plan in mind, and maybe he still didn’t have a plan. He had no idea what to say, or how to respond to what she was saying, so instead he just listened in silence for a short while. He wasn’t surprised to hear that she wasn’t feeling that great emotionally, and if he had to be brutally honest, neither was he. There was still a small part of him, way down in his heart, that felt a little betrayed by what she and Rowan did. However, he was quick to remind himself that they had just met him and Rawlings for the first time that night he found them wandering in the woods. It’s not like they had some long time friendship and trust bond that had been broken. If anything, they were on their way to creating some sort of bond, the likes of which wasn’t clear to him yet. "I'm angry. Really angry. At me and everything I have done to lead to this moment. The moment where I put two of the nicest people in danger because I'm selfish."

There was so much Isaiah wanted to say at that point, but couldn’t find the words to say it. He watched Arabelle as she went on to apologize, lowering her head as if she was about to start crying. Though hesitant, the boy reached over, placing both hands over her arms in hopes she would look up. ”Look…” the farmer boy took in a deep breath, attempting to gather his thoughts before speaking so that his sentences actually meant something instead of just being incoherent gibberish. ”I have no idea what kind of people you’re up against….i don’t even know if Rae and I can be of any help. But…” he let his arms fall back down to his sides, nervously clearing his throat before finishing his sentence. ”You can stay here as long as you need to….we don’t want you to get hurt.”

ImageThe Day's events ran through Rowan's mind like a never ending marathon. He had never been the type to worry. About anyone or anything. Well, if he had to be honest, he often worried about Arabelle's safety but that was mostly due to the fact that she was always doing something stupid and almost always getting caught doing it. However, this time it was entirely different. That situation had escalated to a point where not only was Arabelle's life in danger, but so was everyone else in the house. And yes, he was worried about them. Mainly Raelyn, but also Isaiah even if they had gotten off on the wrong foot, and though he doesn't like the other house guests (one arrogant asshole in particular) he also didn't wish death upon them. Lastly, if Rowan was being honest with himself, he was a little worried about his own safety as well. He kept silent, eyes fixed on the dishes in front of him, until Raelyn's soft voice broke through the silence.

"Thank you...for cleaning the kitchen." Rowan only hummed in response, not sure what else he was supposed to say. It was quiet for a couple of beats until Raelyn spoke again. "And I am uh sorry about Ben...he means well..." the warlock scoffed and snorted at the same time, though it was quietly and he was almost certain Raelyn didn't notice. "Means well"? That's the last thing Rowan would have thought to call it, but of course Raelyn's innocent mind failed to see the intentions behind Benjamin's actions yet again. Rowan wondered how long this had been going on for.
"I can leave you alone to finish, if you want." once again, the warlock didn't verbally respond but only focused on finishing the task at hand. A few seconds later and he was done. He took a towel, quickly drying his hands and before turning to look at the girl at the table. "Look...this is none of my business, I mean you do what you want but..." the warlock took in a short breath, not even sure why he was getting himself involved in this. "You need to be more careful around that guy...his intentions aren't as pure as you think they are." he stopped there, not really caring if Raelyn got upset with him. She needed to know the truth about this guy and if no one else told her then he would do it himself.

ImageArabelle hated herself at the moment for crying. Her emotions were just overwhelming and this was the only way she could let them out. But she hated the fact that she did it in front of Isaiah. The witch would have rather cried in front of Rowan. At least he was used to it and knew exactly what to say and what not to say. She didn't want Izzy to feel sorry for her just because she couldn't keep it together. Izzy placed a hand on her shoulder and Arabelle looked to him. She gently wiped the tears that lingered on her cheeks as he spoke. "You can stay here as long as you need to….we don’t want you to get hurt.” The witch just looked over him for a a moment. He meant it. After everything he was still extending his kindness. She smiled just a bit. "I don't understand how you can still be so nice..." She said more in a joking matter. Arabelle was grateful that he was even allowing her to stay though she wasn't going to. Rowan probably wouldn't want her to either. "Thank you." She wiped away the rest of her tears and then she glanced in the direction that she had started walking before looking back at Izzy. "Do you uh want to keep walking with me?" He was already outside and she was going to keep going. She just felt that it would be rude not to invite him.

Image
Raelyn was waiting for Rowan to let her know in some way that he would want to be alone. While waiting, she just continued watching him to clean. He waited until he was finished before even speaking to her. But what she wasn't expecting was a warning about Ben. Especially from him. For some reason, she thought that he wouldn't even care. But that fact that he even brought it up meant that he did and that made her heart flutter a bit. Raelyn figured this how Arabelle knows he cares. He will express an honest opinion whether or not it was asked for. "I know Ben is uh...popular with women. With the amount of parties he has thrown and the amount of drunk confessions, I am well aware that he gets around." She explained to him. "But we all grew up together. He is family. At least...to me he is family." She added, remembering the comments about him and his feelings over dinner. Rae was never romantically interested in Ben. He was just another older brother who was just as protective and loving. "But I promise to be more careful.." Raelyn felt like Rowan would feel better if she just agreed to be careful. She added a smile, hoping that also made him feel better.

ImageIsaaih hadn't expected Arabelle to get as emotional as she did. Maybe, after all that had happened, he pictured her to be a strong, fearless witch. Even the word "witch" alone gave the idea that she could be unbreakable. But she wasn't. She was scared, hurt and emotional just like any regular human being. He didn't want to see her cry, of course, but the fact that she did made him feel a bit more at ease. Like he could treat her like a normal person just like he had before they found out she and Rowan had magical abilities. "I don't understand how you can still be so nice..." Izzy bit his bottom lip in thought before gazing back up at her. "Magical powers or not, you're still a person just like Rae and I...and people make mistakes." he added a soft smile to remind her that mistakes could be forgiven, and hers definitely had been. "Do you uh want to keep walking with me?" the farmer boy was almost taken off guard by the question He thought she would ask to be left alone again, which he would have understood and complied though he would have still watched her from a distance, but she invited him to walk with her and every part of him wanted to accept. There was something about Arabelle...something that pulled him in from the very beginning. From the moment she and Rowan stepped foot inside their property. "Sure." he replied with a half smile, quickly falling into step with her as they moved further away from the house.

ImageA big part of Rowan expected Raelyn to get angry and instantly defend her friend, but what Rowan seem to have forgotten was who exactly he was talking to. It felt like it was both physically and emotionally impossible for Raelyn to get angry. The warlock wondered how anyone could go about life being so damn happy all the time. It was strange. But what was even more strange was that Rowan wasn't the least bit annoyed by it. The man furrowed his brows in slight confusion as he listened to her speak, half of his mind on what she was saying and the other half on how it made him feel. "But we all grew up together. He is family. At least...to me he is family." that phrase sent an odd feeling through Rowan's stomach...something reminiscent of relief, yet entirely different. "But I promise to be more careful.." Rowan simply stared at her for a moment, almost at a loss for what to say. Was she really going to be careful, or was she only saying it just to make him feel better? "Good". There were a few other things he wanted to say, mostly something along the lines of "yeah well all he wants is to get in your pants, not be your big brother." of course this was none of his business, and what Raelyn did or didn't do shouldn't bother him in the slightest.

ImageArabelle waited for an agreement before pushing herself off the fence. Isaiah fell in step with her. Together they continued walking further away from the house. It was only getting darker out, but she generally felt safe. For one, Rowan's magic safety bubble was very strong. Two, Arabelle had no idea where she was going. If Isaiah hadn't come out, she probably would turned around by now and went back inside. But now she could at least linger outside much longer. What made it better was that she was with Isaiah. They were walking for a little bit and she glanced over to him, a small smile on her face. A thought came to her mind, she wanted to know more about the twins, specifically Izzy. She knew that they owned a farm and their parents aren't around, but she wanted to know more with the little time they had left."Umm...this question might be weird...but why did you and Raelyn decide to stay on the farm?" She questioned hoping that it sparked some conversation that wasn't about their somewhat grim future.

Image
Raelyn continued to look at Rowan. It was interesting to see how he interacted with her. Since he got here, he has done nothing but surprise. He seemed very quiet and apathetic about life compared to his bubbly counterpart. But he was nice...in his own way. He helped with the farm when Rae asked and he seemed to like the animals. He clearly care about Arabelle or he wouldn't have kept her around. He had seen Rae cry and even hugged her a bit while it was happening. He helped with dinner and assisted with the kitchen. Rowan may not seem like it, but he was genuinely a sweetheart. He was just really good at hiding it. Rowan seemed satisfied with her answer. For a moment it was silent between the two. Rae knew that he didn't like questions, but she kind of wanted to talk to him some more. It was nice to hear him talk. Especially when he didn't talk often. "How does um...magic work? You used my energy earlier...does that mean I can do magic?" It was a genuine question. Magic is real. Who knew what else was out there, but she thought starting with specifics of magic was easier to handle than asking about other species.

ImageIsaiah waited for Arabelle to take the lead before following her. They walked in silence for a few minutes, and Izzy couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy. Considering he has always been a conversation starter, this was unusual for him. But what was he to say at a time like this? There wasn't much that could be said that wouldn't make the situation worse. So he opted to stay quiet, that is until Arabelle spoke. Her question seemed to have come out of the blue, but he was glad she asked. It steered the conversation in a much more safe direction. Granted, the response to the question involved him talking about his and Raelyn's parents, but it had been long enough to where he could comfortably talk about them without getting chocked up. That's not to say he didn't miss them anymore because he did, every single day. "Well...we've been here all our lives." he explains, eyes set on the road ahead. "We thought about moving away, selling the farm and getting at apartment for the two of us but...we just couldn't leave this place. Not after our parents worked so hard to build it, ya know?" he kept his pace slow, but fast enough to keep up with Arabelle. Raelyn and he had talked about leaving the farm many times, but they always ended up with the same answer. Where else would they even go?

ImageRowan was honestly okay with not speaking, but of course he knew Raelyn wasn't. Just like Arabelle, she had to be either talking or moving or doing some sort of activity. He knew it was just a matter of time before she spoke again, and he was right. "How does um...magic work? You used my energy earlier...does that mean I can do magic?" It was an odd question, especially since Rowan had grown up and been raised by warlocks and witches all his life. He never had anyone ask him how magic worked, because they were the ones teaching him. The question itself brought a half smile to his face, though for only a couple of seconds. "Not exactly" he said. After a short beat of silence he walked towards her, taking a seat beside her so that they were facing one another. "No one can do magic unless they are born a witch or warlock." he explained, placing his palms facing upwards. Two small holographic figure appeared in each palm, both resembling the shape of a human body. One was covered in a soft blue glow while the other glowed a dark red. "But because our systems and yours are different, we can take human energy which our bodies don't have, and convert it into our own. Like recharging a phone battery to get the phone to work again.". It was an odd example, but the only way he could think of explaining it without confusing her even more.

ImageArabelle listened to Isaiah as he spoke about the reason why they stayed on the farm. She couldn't imagine living her life as a farmer. They woke up so early and stayed up so late it seemed. It amazed her how Raelyn did it everyday without fail and with a smile on her face. On top of that, she cooked the meals. And watching Isaiah work on the fields from morning to night was just impressive. Arabelle would surely have found some magical way to get all the chores handled. And she was sure Rowan wouldn't even want to participate. The two of them wouldn't have been able to survive. She smiled at Izzy. "You two have to be the coolest humans I have ever met...granted I haven't met many, but still." She complimented. "You two not only single-handedly run a farm, you are kind to everyone and anyone you meet. You guys deserve like a prize for Best Humans of the Year." Arabelle added in with a small laugh. She meant every word. Of all the people that she had the pleasure of meeting, she was that it was Isaiah and Raelyn.

Image Raelyn pouted a bit jokingly, when Rowan told her that she couldn't do magic. Not that she actually wanted to be a witch, but a little magic would have been helpful around the farm. The farm gal adjusted in her seat when Ro came and took a seat in front of her. She wanted to let him know that he had her undivided attention. Two holographic figures appeared in his hands and she couldn't help but stare in astonishment. Even though she was told magic is real, seeing it still was a sight to see. She nodded in understanding after Rowan compared the exchange of energy like recharging a battery. Raelyn pointed to the human holographic figure. "So...my energy is blue and yours..." She pointed to the other one. "is this one..the dark red.." Rae looked from the figures to the warlock in front of her. "When you do a powerful uh spell..do you glow this pretty dark red color?"

ImageIsaiah spoke about his past and his and Raelyn's reasoning over why they should remain in the farm as if it were second nature to him now. He and Raelyn had been over the topic so many times that it was like retelling a story now. "You two have to be the coolest humans I have ever met...granted I haven't met many, but still." Isaiah couldn't help but chuckle at ARabelle's statement. He never pictured himself and Raelyn as being "cool", or even "impressive" as the witch put it. The twins only did what they had to do to take care of themselves and the farm that their parents left behind. {color=#00ff00]"Well, I don't know about all that."[/color] he said, still chuckling a bit. "You give us too much credit." As he walked, Izzy gently kicked the dirt under his shoes. There was so much he wanted to ask Arabelle. A whole lot that he wanted to know about her, but he wasn't sure where to even start. He didn't want to ask anything that would be a sensitive topic for her, nor did he want to bring up the coven considering they were currently looking to kill them all. "So you and Rowan...you're not actually siblings, but you lived together?" He hoped she didn't mind explaining because, if he was being honest, he was a tad bit curious about Arabelle's silent companion as well.

ImageRowan was mildly impressed that Raelyn understood everything he was explaining to her with such ease. Of course, he never thought of her as non intelligent, but explaining how magic worked wasn't exactly as easy as one plus one equals two. She looked amazed by the small figured in his hands, and it was almost...endearing to watch. "When you do a powerful uh spell..do you glow this pretty dark red color?" Rowan blinked, staring at the small red figured in his hand. "I...guess so, yeah." He'd never actually looked at himself while performing a spell, though he knew from watching others that each magical being had their own kind of energy. "Humans all have the same kind of energy." he explains, directing his attention towards the blue figure. "You're all blue, like this." he then directs his attention towards the red figure. "On the other hand, a magical being's energy color can tell you how powerful they are and what kind of person you're dealing with." He allows the blue figure to dissolve into air while focusing his attention on the red one as it slow turns a bright yellow, then continues on to change colors as he explains. "Yellow is the weakest, usually young children or those that don't have much experience are this color. Then comes green meaning more power but little control, followed by purple which means moderately powerful with an average amount of control, then red. Extensive power and perfect control." the small figure which had returned to it's original red glow slowly morphed into a pitch black color as Rowan lifted his gaze towards Raelyn, a silent warning in his eyes. "And finally black...black never means anything good."

ImageArabelle could go back and forth with Isaiah all night about how wonderful him and his sister were. Of course to him all he thought he was doing was living. But even with magic, Arabelle couldn't do what they did everyday. Waking up at dawn and working the fields. Or staying up late to make sure the animals are locked away tight. Or even staying away from a city for so long without losing her mind. It was admirable that they managed to handle it so long on their own, but the witch left it alone. She had complimented him enough. "So you and Rowan...you're not actually siblings, but you lived together?" Oh Rowan. She could understand his curiosity with him. He always had a very mysterious aura that makes him seem standoffish and brute. "I have known Rowan since I was really little. Both of us lost our parents, mine to murder and his..." She took a second to think. "I actually don't know. But our families must have been friends because my grandma took Rowan in as well. So we aren't actually related, but we are basically siblings." She loved having him around if he seemed as though he could care less about her presence. "I know he is kind of apathetic looking and standoffish, but he is family. And he honestly talks more than he did when he was younger, if you can believe it." Arabelle always loved talking about Rowan when he wasn't around. When they were younger, she was always saying amazing things about him and everyone around her thought she was crazy. But he was truly a big teddy bear underneath all of the hard exterior. "And he is much better at magic than me so I have to keep him around to clean up my various messes." She stated as a joke. Arabelle was good a magic and could handle a lot of power at once. However, she preferred to learn an array of spells instead of mastering technique. So she can implement magic, but sometimes can't control how much of that power she uses.

ImageRaelyn kept her eyes transfixed on the figures in Rowan's hands. She was more infatuated with the fact that he was able to create these two figures. She was trying her best not to dwell on that too much since she truly wanted to understand magic. Especially, now that she had magical friends. It only made sense to try and comprehend what it was they did and what exactly they were. The blue figure disappeared and her focused shifted to the other one. Slowly Rowan went through the colors. Yellow aura meant children or anyone new at magic. Green aura meant more magical understanding, but still pretty new at it. Purple meant power, but no control. And Red was Rowan...perfection. The pretty red figure moved to a deep black and she furrowed his eyebrows. She looked to Rowan and for a moment they made eye contact. Black was bad. Not just bad...dangerous. "The people after you and Arabelle...are their aura's black?" Raelyn knew the answer to that was yes, but there was some part of her that hoped that they were any of the other colors. "How are you two going to protect yourselves?" She said, now some worry in her voice.

ImageIt was no secret that Izzy didn't exactly like Rowan when he and Arabelle first showed up at the farm. He was sure everyone had noticed, given that Izzy had never been the type of person to dislike someone for no reason at all. Because if we was being honest, there really wasn't a reason to dislike the guy. He hadn't done anything to harm them. He had even helped around the farm with the animals and chores. It was mostly due to the fact that Isaiah just didn't understand him. He didn't like the fact that he couldn't tell what the guy was thinking, regardless of the situation. But listening to Arabelle talk about him, it was obvious that there were good things about him. He did in fact have emotions, he just didn't know how to show them. Or maybe he just preferred not to. "I think he and i got off on the wrong foot." the farmer by admitted with an apologetic smile. Arabelle then brought up the subject of magic, and Isaiah's curiosity was woken yet again. He glanced at her for a moment, the only sound being their footsteps on the dirt, hesitating a bit before speaking. "So this magic...does it have limits to what someone can do?" he was mainly curious due to their explanation from earlier that day, and the so mentioned spell to bring Arabelle's grandmother back. It sounded dangerous, even to someone like him that knew nothing about magic. He wasn't sure what spells consisted of, but bringing someone back to life just like that sounded a bit too good to be true and almost borderline impossible.

ImageRaelyn was following Rowan's explanations with ease, which was a relief for the warlock as he didn't have to go into too much detail to explain things further. His eyes traveled from his own hands to Raelyn's face. He almost smiled at the look on her face. He had never meet anyone that had been so easy to read. She practically wore her emotions on her face. The exact opposite of Rowan, whom preferred to keep his emotions private. "The people after you and Arabelle...are their aura's black?" the warlock hesitated to answer as the figure in his hand vanished entirely. He decided to simply nod in confirmation, not wanting to give that part of the coven too much importance so as to not scare her. He was hoping to avoid the topic all together, but Raelyn seemed to be a bit to curious for her own good. "How are you two going to protect yourselves?" Rowan stared at her for a moment before lowering his gaze to the floor. In all honesty, he had absolutely no idea. At this point, they were as good as dead the moment the protective spell wore off. It wouldn't last for much longer, which meant that by sunrise, he and Arabelle had to be on their way. If they tried to protect themselves and the twins, they would all die in the process. He and Arabelle were as good as dead anyways, so the least they could do was ensure the twins were safe and that the coven had no way of finding a trace that led back to them. "Don't worry about us, we'll figure it out" he said, his eyes moving back to Raelyn's, and for the first time in a long time there was a hint of fear in them. "We'll make sure they have no way of connecting you and Isaiah to us before we leave. They won't hurt you." he wasn't sure what would happen to him and Arabelle, but the twins would not be harmed, that much he could guarantee.

"I think he and i got off on the wrong foot." Arabelle shrugged a bit. Both her and Rowan were used to the misunderstanding. His whole life people were wrong about him, thinking that he was dangerous or just a bad person. But Arabelle knew that it wasn't true and it wasn't his fault that he gave off that vibe. Belle spent most of her life defending him, trying to convince people that he is just a teddy bear in armor. But after a while she stopped explaining and Rowan never really cared in the first place. There was some silence between the two as they continued to walk. "So this magic...does it have limits to what someone can do?" Arabelle nodded. "The limits of magic depends on the person" She said honestly. "I usually can perform most magic spells, but I can't control much power I use. Sometimes its not enough and other times it is way too much. Rowan can perform most magic spells with exact precision." She started to explain, hoping that it was making sense. "All magic has a price. The magic we usually perform doesn't do much damage. It usually just takes up a lot of energy, but the spell that I am trying to cast...isn't so simple." If the spell went her way, she was expecting to die. But she can't tell anyone that. Especially not Rowan, he would stop her.

There was silence between Rowan and Raelyn after she asked her question. It wasn't the silence itself that worried her, it was what the silence meant. It meant that the people after them were extremely dangerous. And even though it was clear that Ro was trying to keep her calm, she was still extremely worried. "Don't worry about us, we'll figure it out" That didn't make her feel better at all. In fact it freaked her out more after the two of them made eye contact. He was scared. Rae wanted to protect the magical creatures even though she knew that she couldn't. But she couldn't let them go. If they left, they would be dead for sure. "We'll make sure they have no way of connecting you and Isaiah to us before we leave. They won't hurt you." Is that what he thought? That all she cared about was her and her brother's safety? She shook her head in slight annoyance and reached out, taking hold of his hands. "But what about you? I don't want you to get hurt." She said, trying to make it clear as day that she cared about him.
