D E C O R U S

h e i g h t x // x5' 8"

w e i g h t x // x135 lbs

h a i r x // xAndy has long brunette hair that in the sunlight shows slight traces of crimson. It has a natural wave that only gets more curly when wet.

e y e s x // xgreen

o d d i t i e s x // xShe has no tattoos and only the standard ear piercings. Andy intends at some point to get a tattoo, but currently she has nothing more than freckles and a few scars.

a p p e a r a n c e x // xAndy would not be said to be some great beauty or anything like that, but more of the girl next door type of attraction. A natural beauty, she isn't on who enjoys wearing makeup or trying to overly impress others. Her dark brunette hair perfectly accents her pale porcelain skin and heart shaped face. She has a slender body with slight curves, but most predominantly she is fairly muscular. Not to the point of looking like a meat head, but enough to where its obvious she's in shape and constantly practicing her combat.

A textbook tomboy, Andy doesn't wear the girliest of clothes. That's not to say she doesn't wear a dress on occasion or let her hair down. But, heels are definitely out of her wheel house. For one, she can't walk in them and then she also doesn't quite understand the purpose of them. She prefers logical clothing that have a function, if only comfort. But more often then not she is dressed for training, running or anything else. At camp she feels the need to be prepared for whatever.

P E R S O N A L I T A T E
xxxxxxxxxxxxx passionate xx brave xx playful xx stubborn x

Anyone who knows Andy, knows how passionate she is. She cares and feels everything so deeply, someone who feels everything to the strongest degree. She will stand by what she believes in without falter and die for it. This overflows into many aspects of who she is. She’ll defend those she cares about and stand beside them no matter what. She does everything with conviction and does not falter from anything she stands behind. This also means she fights for those she cares about to either save their lives, save them from themselves or help see themselves through her own eyes.

Andy is not one who is scared of death or pain. She’s no stranger to pain and death maybe final but if its for a cause she doesn’t bat an eyelash. She’ll be on the front line of a battle, running head first against the army. She’ll protect and injured friend using herself as a shield. She’d sacrifice herself or take someone’s place if that means giving someone she cares about freedom. That does not mean she isn’t scared, but she is able to look past it to do what needs to be done, that no one else will do.

Being a daughter of Hecate, Andy can’t help but have a slight goofy or playful manner. It may not be to the level of her late brother’s, but she still enjoys making people smile or laugh. She is not the type to prank others like her brother used to, but when she’s in a good mood she still likes to do little jokes here and there. This also makes her very light hearted and friendly to most people. It’s not often that there is someone out there who strongly dislikes her. They may not approve of her choice of friends, but rarely do they have a direct issue with her.

But one of the most well known things about Andy is that she is stubborn. It is almost impossible to make her do something she doesn’t want to do. With her selflessness and bravery this can make people worry about her exponentially because she’ll plan something rash or dangerous and cannot be talked down. She’ll fight till her death, argue until someone sees her side, or stand by someone that everyone else thinks is long past saving.

H I S T O R I A R U M

Andy was born in Moscow, Russia on an American army base. It was hard enough growing up with a Marine Lieutenant for a father, never stationary for more than 9 months. But it just made things worse that her mother disappeared shortly after her birth. Andy grew up an army brat, which isn't a rare thing but all the other children thought she was strange and stayed away from her. Andy's father told her that her mother wasn't human and didn't belong on our earth, so of course when she was young she believed it. And when the other children asked her why her mother wasn't around, that was her answer. So it was easy for the other kids to think she was crazy between the tales she shared of her mother and her abundance of "imaginary friends."

As she grew older Andy really started to believe she was crazy, and her father made her feel like he was egging on her insanity. He would tell her someday she would save the world, that she was more powerful than any mortal... Mortal? He made her sound like she wasn't human. Maybe she wasn't, her only friends were people that no one else could see, and when she was alone... she could do things... things that weren't normal. When she was 16, Andy was more in her head than in reality, and her father finally began to agree that she wasn't stable, and had started debated about sending her away to an institution until she was better.

One night when Andy went to visit her father she over heard him having a conversation in his cabin on a aircraft carrier. She waited outside the door, ear pressed up against the cold metal. It wasn't for nearly an hour until her father said, "You gave birth to her, but you haven't been a mother to her!" Upon hearing that Andy pushed aside any amount of decency and barged through the door to find inside an ethereal woman. She was gorgeous, eyes and hair like... like Andy's, her body emitting a feint light and she wore... a toga? She thought it all was a joke, or maybe her insanity, she couldn't tell anymore. But after a very long night of talking with her "mother" she realized she wasn't crazy at all, but to the eyes of any regular person she'd seem completely delusional. She didn't want to believe it all. It would be easier to accept that she was crazy and her mother abandoned her, but that wasn't the truth no matter how much she wanted to fight it.

Ever since that night her mother, Hecate, promised to come visit or check up on her as much as she possible but... there was a stipulation to reappearance in Andy's life. She was sent to Camp Athens to live among other people like her, who were also children of a God. But Andy still resented her mother’s absence in her life up until that point. No matter though, her first year at camp she saw her mother… twice maybe three times in total.

Over her first year at camp so much happened to Andy, from helping take down a minotaur, being trapped and tortured in the Underworld and fighting along side the other campers in a battle for their life. But it was the after math of the battle that finally made her want nothing to do with her mother ever again. In the heat of the war, Andy entrusted her wounded and dying brother to Hecate… Only to be told he died in her care. Devastated, angry and heart broken she wants absolutely nothing to do with her mother. And any time she’s tried to reconnect with Andy since that day, she doesn’t give Hecate the time of day.

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
Hex: #d63b71
The anger she felt inside was better than tears, better than grief, and better than guilt. There was no turning back or erasing past mistakes. She just had to learn by them and move forward. "How long will you be gone?" Duke knew already that she couldn't give him an answer for that. It would just be as long as she needed until she felt herself again. "I know inner peace is your own find, but what about dream therapy? why not ask a child of Hypnos to aid your sleep or dream walk with you? there are plenty of ways people can help you at camp." That was if they wanted to help. Alex shook her head. They were good ideas if her dreams hadn't taken the dark path lately. She didn't want to admit that she was afraid. She knew Duke wouldn't judge her, and neither would her brother or Wes... it was the others she wasn't so sure about. Oh, Mason would have a field day with that knowledge no doubt. She didn't want to give him the satisfaction. "Jennova was never going to make it," Alex took a seat, her behind gently pressing down into the soft material of a chair that sat in his workshop. She closed her eyes and swallowed gently as she hung her head down. "She wasn't careful enough. She was eager to please Hades blindly and recklessly. She started to lose humanity."

Image He was right, and they both knew that was still no excuse to end her life, but it had happened and there was no way to bring her back. She looked up at him and furrowed her brows. "I should have handled the situation differently. I lost control of my anger. I just..." she raised her shoulders and shook her head. "it was like my body was there, but the rest of me wasn't. She knew which button to press that night, and I begged myself to walk away, but I snapped. It happened so quickly." she told him. "I'm lucky that the Gods have not come for me, or maybe they will. I should be standing trial before them and facing my fate."

Image As Duke stood up, Alex too began to stand. "I'm sorry if I've wasted your time, but I had to see you before I left. I wasn't expecting to dump all my thoughts on you, but I'm glad I did. It helped. See you soon, Duke." she smiled a little, then left his workshop, but spun around before he had completely disappeared from sight. "Thank you," she added softly before leaving.

She headed towards her cabin with not wanting to waste any more of Duke's time. After a couple of steps, she paused for a moment after her eyes found Wes and Trinity. Not wanting to get in between them, she carried on walking since she needed to pack anyway. Just a few things really. Nothing special. Mason was no doubt going to be happy with one of Zeus's children gone. For now.

Image
AJAX VALIS
SON OF ZEUS
Hex: Green
As Ajax waited for Evelyn to work her magic, Ajax's eyes looked to Daniel. It wasn't a surprise he was back with them having Gods as parents, but it was a little strange that Daniel was acting as though nothing had happened to him. "So how are you?" he asked, causing Ajax to frown. No, teasing comment? no witty words to throw in his face? Daniel definitely didn't seem like himself, but who could blame him after returning from the dead?

Ajax studied him briefly. "I could ask you the same thing, but I'm alright I guess. Thanks." Alex wasn't even gone yet, and already he was worrying and contemplating the worse scenarios in his head.

Finally, Evelyn was done. Her return broke him from his thoughts and the fallen silence between him and Daniel.

He went to take the necklace back from her but paused as she offered it towards Daniel. Sensing he didn't want to handle it, Ajax reached out and took it from him. "No, it's fine. Thank you." he nodded to them, tossed the necklace up into the air a couple of inches from the palm of his hand, and caught it before he headed off in search for his little sister. He didn't have time to say anything else, so he hurried towards their cabin in hopes that she would still be there.

As he made his way towards the front door his mind wandered briefly to Andy. He had noticed how absent he had been since they declared themselves, finally, as a couple. That girl deserved so much better than some mood changing male that lost his temper easily. With everything going on, Ajax felt torn. He wanted to the leader that many expected him to be, but he also wanted to be the boyfriend that Andy expected him to be. Blowing hot and cold with her wasn't her fault in the slightest... it was his, and no doubt Mason was there with her now, playing Mr. White Knight. He clenched his jaw at the thought before entering the cabin. "Al?"

Image ”Can you go with me to find him? Please?” He didn't imagine the request so soon. Eventually she'd want to seek out Daniel, but he was more offering in terms of food and drink or tissues. Mason didn't know how he could cope with the turmoil in himself and Andy so that's probably why he stared at her in belief. ”I don’t want to just… stumble upon him when I’m not prepared. And I don’t know if I can do it on my own.”

Mason scratched the back of his neck. He did offer whenever she wanted to he'd go with her. It felt extremely soon though, she just had a mini meltdown and now its like she wanted salt in the wound.

”… You don’t have to.” she added.

Mason looked off pressing his tongue to his cheek. "I want to see him too," he told her honestly. "I just think you've had a big day and....you're not entirely ready," he said. Not to discredit her strength or baby her, but that was his opinion. They had a fight, Ajax and her had a fight, then she heard her dead brother was walking around in the realm of living, now she wanted to face the ghost head on. Unless her logic was make a bad day worse.

"I'll go with you. Of course I'll go with you," he answered finally. "But it's not going to be any easier." In the event Daniel was some left over shell, Mason didn't know how he'd take it either. And Ajax was lucky to get his soul back when he did - he was hardly an example of what a soulless man could do. Mason looked her over. She looked like hell and he didn't think it was the best reunion look but if she was comfortable...Mason turned his back on Andy regardless, allowing her some privacy. "When you're ready."

K E I T HxxM A D D E N
Hecate| HEX: #8b9068 | Smart/Casual

"No, it's fine. Thank you." Ajax suddenly took the necklace, gave them a nod, tossed the precious item to himself then headed off casually. The way he came up to them, Keith thought it was some code grey priority thing. But he quickly dismissed it. Whatever happened from then on was Ajax's business and responsibility because the red-head gave him a full disclaimer. Even the whole 'try before you buy' type of deal. She was hell of a marketer.

ImageKeith pursed his lips then looked to Evelyn. And he thought he was bad at socializing. "At least he said thank you," Keith offered. He actually felt a little embarrassed by his camp mate's behavior. "You know someone once told me the Valises will always look out for each other first. They get tunnel vision when it comes to each other to the extent you could be in immediate danger and a Valis in fraction of that, and they'd still choose each other." That's not how he imagined his sentence coming out. He wanted to say they just worried about each other a lot and something else to keep things optimistic, but his words took a tale of its own. And he was unable to redeem them or argue otherwise.

He looked away again biting his lip softly. His powers were part of his identity or should have been and he wasn't confident enough to wield them. It always had to come down to pressure before he'd use it and now the opportunity slipped; Ajax was gone but he still had Evelyn. Under her watchful eye, he doubted she'd let things go so wrong. Plus, she seemed insistent to push him. "So you strike me as powerful and - I wanna try. I wanna try use my powers."

Keith smiled a little and raised his hand. At first the fragments of images appeared then vanished as quick as they came. He tried not to get exasperated with himself. Some blurred emotions and a foggy mind state wouldn't help him in succeeding. He tried again and again having no success. Keith shifted his weight from foot to foot then glanced at Evelyn. He had started so motivated and now he was embarrassing himself. Then finally three hunters appeared and Keith let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Keith beamed. Paying his creations more mind, their skin and eyes were slightly discolored and they didn't come out entirely human looking. More like zombies with weapons.

Suddenly they raised their weapons pointing at the pair. "Woah." Keith automatically raised his hands and took a few steps back.

Mason looked away, shifting his gaze from her. Andy knew that look. She exhaled softly but waited silent and patient for him to speak up and protest. "I want to see him too. I just think you've had a big day and....you're not entirely ready," he finally said.

Andy tucked her top lip gently between her teeth while nodding her head. Big day, big week... big year. She felt like she hasn't been able to a get a break since came to camp. Everything seemed to bubble up and over flow one after the other, without a moment to breathe. She was so used to being overwhelmed and worrying about something that the thought of having a normal day was lost on her anymore. Mason wasn't trying to hurt her or offend her, but simply cared about how much she was putting herself through in the span of a couple hours.

"I'll go with you. Of course I'll go with you," Mason finally answered her question. "But it's not going to be any easier." He looked her over, not looking the most pleased about her eagerness to hunt down her brother. He then turned his back to her to give her some privacy, but Andy didn't move. "When you're ready."

Maybe Mason was right. So often she was the one trying to talk him down and get him to think rationally. Now it seemed as though the shoe was on the other foot. She wanted to go find her brother, stare him... or whatever he was in the eye and hope that seeing her was enough. But it was all false hope that, in the end, would only hurt her more. And she'd be lying if she said she was in a good mental state to handle that.

"Maybe you're right," she said barely above a whisper. "I need a second," Andy mumbled as she walked past Mason and headed into her bathroom. She shut the door behind her and locked it. She leaned back against the cool tile wall, her chest heaving on the edge of hyperventilating. Andy looked at her reflection in the mirror as she tried to calm herself, and what stared back at her was a ghost of herself. Gaunt, with dark circles under her eyes. Her nose was engulfed in deep shades of purple and blue, while dried blood stained her upper lip and the top of her shirt.

She hated being such a burden. Andy, for so long, was the person who was there for everyone else. And now she was person who was a zombie. She should have accepted their support, but she hated herself like this. At every turn Andy pushed her friends away not wanting to drag them down with her. A knot grew in her stomach as she thought about going back out into her room and tightened more when what she was really going to do crossed her mind.

Andy waved her hand over the mirror, instantly cleaning up the dirt and blood from her face. All the while casual clothes replaced her training attire, leaving what she wore earlier than day in a pile on the floor. Without a word to Mason, Andy opened the window in the bathroom and climbed out, landing in the grass below with a quiet thud. She felt bad leaving Mason and Trinity waiting for her, but she needed air. She loved her friends, but she was exhausted. Tired of wearing a brave face from sun up to sun down. Tired of saying she was fine when she wasn't. And tired of making others worry about her when it was out of their control, even her own.

She wondered her way through the woods, avoiding the paths in case someone decided to chase after her. Somehow Andy managed to find a small cliff overlooking the lake. And for the first time in days she felt like she could breathe. Andy walked to the edge and slowly sat down, allowing her feet to hang over the edge. She closed her eyes, enjoying the sensation of the breeze in her hair as she conjured an ice pack in her hand. With grumble to herself about her purple face, she raised the pack to her nose then laid back on the ground and stared up at the sky.

Sylas watched begrudgingly as his sister detoured away from their cabin with Ji-Hyun. Meddling was what Eris children were good at but he couldn't help but sneer at the thought of his sister spending time with demigods of weak and worthless Gods like Hypnos. Such a waste of time. The only people worth manipulating were those with real power or standing in the camp. The ones constantly at each others' throats or at the heart of this ridiculous excuse of a camp.

He groaned to himself as he pushed off the tree beside him and redirected himself back to the main part of camp. Thankfully most of the soreness from the fight with Andy had seemed to wear off, although he was sure her rage had only started. The mere thought of the anger brewing in the girl made him smile. It wasn't a long fight but it was enough... Just enough for him to persuade her subconscious and plant seeds of discord within here. He hadn't been at camp very long but from what he saw, she was one of the few things that kept Mason and the Valises from ripping each other apart. Now wouldn't that be a sight.

As Sylas made his way back to the main hall to find someone to make his time less boring, he couldn't help but notice a trio closely cluttered together. His brows quirked as his pace slowed, watching them curiously. No doubt new to the camp by the way they never left each others' sides nor seem to know where to go or what to do. He pursed his lips, slipping his hands into his pockets and lightly kicked a near by rock.

Since there were no better takers, Sylas decided to watched where they wondered to. As they approached the stables, he finally took to walking and followed behind the blonde trio. He wasn't in a rush to follow after them and would rather he stumble upon the newbies rather than blatantly look like he chased after them. He slowed upon reaching the entrance, propping himself against the doorframe just in time to hear one of them introduce himself to a visually perturbed Alex. "Hello there, my name is Ethan Knox and my companions and I are new arrivals to this camp. I was wondering if the stables was open to all campers here. If not we'll leave an get out of your hair."

Sylas chuckled behind the group with a slight smile. "Looks like the Counselors aren't giving proper orientations."

“You kissed me." Wes didn't fight his smile and it only seemed to grow when Trin couldn't fight hers as well.

"Is that what that was?” he teased with a playful smirk.

“It’s okay. It was... nice.” Wes's gaze followed hers as it dropped to her hand that still clutched the fabric of his shirt. He laughed softly as she released her hold and apologized. “Oh, sorry.” He tried to take her hand in his but she dropped it too quickly and took a step back. Wes sighed softly letting his own hand drop back to his side.

Trinity respected his decision to not chase after the hell hound he happened to befriend in capture the flag. He may have persuaded the beast to his side but that's not where she belonged. He never liked the taming of wild animals who deserved to be free. But by the look on Trin's face she was about to dive into serious territory. So, instead of speaking he stood their silent and waited for her to say whatever was on her mind.

“But,” the blonde added, holding up her index finger. Wes raised a brow curiously. “Just to be a classic party pooper, if you weren't who you were, tell me you understand those things would rip us to shreds.” He had half of a mind to make a joke at that moment. But something told him that even under Trinity's light tone there was a seriousness and worry. It was nothing new to anyone that Wes not a seasoned fighter... in the slightest. And made dumb decisions. He gave a subtle nod of his head toward her showing that he understood.

“Did you know you have one arm now? And uh, that makes you more vulnerable to attacks. Especially towards predatory animals and creatures, they pick up on it like-” Trinity then snapped her fingers.

"Shit? I have one arm!?"

Wes feigned shock with a huge grin on his face. His chuckled slowly faded away as Trinity closed the distance to him. One hand grasped his shoulder, the other pressed his chest causing him to take in a quick breath. “What if I just dug my claws in now?” He glanced down slightly at her hand, then met her gaze once again.

Trinity then smirked teasingly. “Or had a knife?” With a movement of her wrist, cold metal was pressed against the warm skin of Wes's neck. He raised his chin slightly at the touch and even found himself smirking back down at her. Anyone else should have felt unbelievably intimidated in that situation. Trinity was one of the most deadly people at camp... And she was holding a blade at his throat. Quit poetically she held his life in his hands. Yet Wes was calm.

Seeing Trinity like the predator she was only made him fall for her more. He never met a woman so powerful. No one would dare cross her or second guess her abilities. She could kill him in an instant, before Wes could even try to fight back. But under her intimidating display, he could see glimpses of her protectiveness... and worry for his well being. Wes didn't falter though. He stood his ground and held her gaze without wavering.

The blonde kept the blonde there for a long moment still. Then she dropped it and in that moment, Wes released the breath he hadn't realized he was holding in. Trinity then closed the distance between them, shifting to the tips of her toes to place a gentle kiss upon his jaw. Wes's stoic expression cracked to another ridiculous grin. He was half tempted to grab her while she was close and kiss her again. But he restrained himself. A hard task indeed.

“See, completely open to attack. A mob of women could have pounced on you,” she said with an innocent shrug and a cheeky grin.

Seeing as how they might be waiting a long while for Andy to reemerge from her cabin, Wes lowered himself and took a seat on a near by tree stump. "Well..." He finally spoke up, grin still plastered on his faze his left hand reached out and took her hand. "I don't want a mob of women." His smile grew as he gently tugged Trinity toward him and guided her to take a seat on his left leg. Part of him had a feeling she'd fight him on that. She was an independent woman and things went slow for her, which he respected without question. But Wes wasn't trying to make a move on her. He simply wanted the brief moment they had alone to sit with her.

"And you know..." he added, casually wrapping his arm around her waist, resting his hand on her hip. "If you're worried about me. You could just tell me to not be an idiot and get myself killed," he said with a soft chuckle as he looked up at her. Of course, they both knew that asking that only went so far. His stupidity lost him his arm and it could easily take his life as well. He wasn't much of a fighter. They knew that. He could only imagine the scarier thought for her was that he would stupidly get himself killed for her without hesitation. Wes's expression grew a little more serious as he sighed and let his cheek rest against Trinity's shoulder.

Emery cursed quietly to herself as she began the trek back through the forest. Of course it was nice that it was no longer raining - on top of admitting defeat, she didn't want to turn up at camp soaked - but she wished she could at least have said she made an effort for the flag. She was sure their defenders had at least tried to do their job, but it was hard not to feel disgruntled. She didn't like to look stupid.

Something buzzed around her face, and she raised a hand to wave it away. "Please don't," she said, trying to keep the irritable tone out of her voice. Still it persisted, buzzing a message into Emery's ear that made her stop. "Okay, I mean, we're not friends, though. I'm sure she's fine. If I go sit with her for a while will that make you happy? Fine." The insect flew down into the undergrowth and out of sight, and Emery changed course, heading in a vague uphill direction.

Some ten minutes later she broke through the tree line, emerging into sunlight. A small cliff rose up in front of her, and a figure lay on the ground right at the top, dark hair spread out on the ground. Emery started up the path, letting her footsteps announce her. She pulled up beside Andy, dropping down to sit, cross-legged, on the ground beside her. "Can I help with your nose, or would you rather be left alone?" she asked bluntly, looking out over the lake instead of at Andy. "Looks like you got yourself a hell of a beating."

"Yeah, Sylas seems like he might like a good scuffle," Ji-hyun said absently as he opened the door to his cabin, waving Sloane ahead of him. He closed the door behind them, then realised the state of his cabin and darted around Sloane. Being a slob in private was one thing, but having his messy cabin seen by someone else was another matter entirely.

Books and clothes were piled around haphazardly, and the bed was unmade, the blanket having been kicked aside in the morning and left where it fell - typical of a boy Ji-hyun's age, in other words. All it was missing was band posters on the walls.

"Sorry, just a moment," Ji-hyun gasped, trying to shift his things elsewhere so Sloane could at least have somewhere to sit. He moved some books from a chair to the table, adding to the few already stacked there, and swung the chair around, offering it to her. "If I'd known someone was coming in I would have tidied up this morning," he added apologetically, looking somewhat sheepish. He settled himself on the bed, remembering at the last moment to keep his hand away from the sheets to avoid staining them with his blood. No reason to add to the mess. "Um, yes. I have a first aid kit in the cabinet." He got to his feet again, heading for the cabinet where he pulled a small kit out, which he held out to Sloane.

Mason didn't want to hurt Andy's feelings, he just wanted to be honest with her. And having a confident friend suddenly doubt was surprisingly tough. "Maybe you're right. I need a second." Andy headed into her bathroom and only once the door closed did his shoulders sag and he sighed out. He didn't know what he was doing. He was probably saying the wrong things and upsetting her further. Maybe he needed to slip in a few harmless lies instead. Something to make her feel better.

Image Mason slowly paced the cabin. He didn't know what girls did in there, whether it was cry or beautify themselves but Andy was taking some time. The girl was near ruined though so she might have taken some extra time. Steph always took her time and it was a scary thing when that ritual was interrupted, and Andy, she was more than entitled to it so Mason let her sort herself out.

Standing was good for a while and he didn't want to make an impression that he was making himself at home but he needed a seat, his legs becoming somewhat heavy. He found a chair and sat but he still felt restless. He began searching for something to preoccupy himself, something to read, some art to ponder, but Andy's cabin was not that stimulating. He blew out his lips trying to hold his patience, but he hadn't a heard a noise in a while. She could have fainted, but even then he was convinced he would have heard her fall. Mason sprang back to his feet and walked to the bathroom door for peace of mind and knocked on it twice. "Hey, you okay in there?" He waited a couple of seconds, ear nearly pressed to the door to be received by absolute silence. "Andy?" He waited again but there was nothing.

Mason left Andy's cabin. Ignoring him was a blunt hint as any, still he would have liked some final communication like "I don't want to talk," or "I need time alone". He marched to his secluded cabin, buried under the mountain, shaking his head to himself. That's what he got for trying to be supportive. Maybe she forgot he was in the same boat as her; a rough place with the Valises, lost a sister and a best friend. He ripped off his war clothes and replaced them with some lazy lounge ones then dumped himself on his couch.

As far as he could foresee this would make up the rest of his day. Initially he was hoping at some point after capture the flag to have words with Theo, try to get him on side or at least stop idolizing Zeus's kids, but now he just couldn't be bothered to ruffle feathers or lift a finger to make people see sense. What did anyone ever do for him anyway

Hecate| HEX: #8b9068 | Smart/Casual

He bumped into Evelyn and reached back quickly to steady himself and her but there was no need, and just as quickly he looked back to threat ahead. Three hunters with gadgets attached to their belts and straps but the most concerning was the one with a crossbow in hand.

“You gave them life, you can take it away,” she cooed behind him. Keith absorbed her words and her presence finding her grounding.

As they stalked closer, his nerves went up a notch again. But Evelyn was there, placing her hands on his shoulders and breathing deeply. Keith inhaled then exhaled. He gave them life, he could take it away. He could erase these fake beings from existence. He put his arm in front of him and swept his hand to the left. They only staggered like a strong gust of wind had come through. He shifted his weight from foot to foot then closed his eyes. He had to remain in control. He wasn't responsible just for himself but Evelyn as well. Keith had to see them as materials, not beings, they had no history so they had no life. For some reason that struck a chord with him. Parts of his own past were blank like a best friend in childhood; everyone had one but he couldn't see a face or name, he couldn't remember a favorite toy or lullaby.
An odd clink made Keith glance to the loaded crossbow. No more time for thoughts and failure. Keith raised his hand again with new found determination. His conjurations vanished in thin smoke, but not before the hunter released the arrow. His other hand shot out to repel it but it was far too close, and far too late.

ImageHis body jerked back. "AGH!" He immediately clutched at the arrow in his abdomen. Keith puffed out his cheeks to prevent from yelling out in pain again and inhaled the breath through grit teeth. He let his legs fold from under him. "I can't..." he began shakily. I can't get the bleeding to stop or the pain to stop. It made him want to curl up in agony. God it was bad. "I can't get the arrow out, I can't do it."

He must have looked a pathetic sight, begging and hoping for her magical aid somehow from something self-inflicted, but he didn't care. He threw his head back and groaned. He only wanted to be rid of the pain. He wasn't as sturdy as the others.

"Take me to the med hut." Evelyn approached and obliged, though it was a slow journey there. Keith tried not to give her his full weight and help but he faltered in step often and he felt terribly weak so a very slow and steady pace had to be the way.

In the med hut staff tended to him promptly. He took off his sweater and top with difficulty, revealing a series of scars on his torso. They gave him something for the pain then treated the fresh wound, but as they tended to that business Keith tried to focus on Evelyn and plead with his eyes for her not to leave. They were strangers surrounding him and he could have used a friend among the mix. He didn't know what they were doing and he didn't want to know, so he focused on her, the color of her hair, her eyes, the greatest distraction.

But Keith had to look away. He didn't know why he played bold because he knew he wasn't as powerful as other camp attendants and it cost him to think otherwise. As the pain subsided the embarrassment kicked in. "I'm sorry," he said, his brows knitting together unable to look at her.

Andy heard the rustling in the trees behind her long before footsteps approaching. She was so exasperated by everything that she didn’t care what it was. Camper? Friend? Foe?... Hades? It didn’t matter at that point. Andy didn’t look over to the source of the footsteps until the person sat down beside her. She didn’t know who to expect. A pissed of Mason ready to argue with her for leaving without a word? Trinity? Maybe Ajax trying to apologize to her again for the… She’s lost track how many times he’s apologized to her since they’ve been together.

But no… It was Emery. Andy pulled the ice pack from her face and slowly sat up. She gave the girl her best smile, but she knew it wasn’t very convincing.

"Can I help with your nose, or would you rather be left alone?" Emery asked as she looked out over the lake. "Looks like you got yourself a hell of a beating."

Andy’s brows furrowed, taking her a moment to remember that Athena children could heal. She smiled, letting her hands, holding the ice pack fall into her lap. "Yeah," she chuckled weakly. "Had a run in with Sylas during the game. Just a nice little souvenir." She motioned to her nose as she talked. It wasn’t a comfortable wound, but Andy was never one overly worried about her appearance.

"If you don’t mind… I would greatly appreciate it. I don’t know how I would be able to repay you." Andy ran her finger along the ice pack. After a moment or two she made it vanish under her touch. "I could conjure something for you… Anything you want." She smiled softly as she brushed loose brunette hairs behind her ear. "Or, ya know, bore you with boring conversation about stuff you probably don’t care about. Sadly I’m not as entertaining as I used to be." Andy laughed, shrugging her shoulders slightly.

"Yeah, Sylas seems like he might like a good scuffle," said before he opened the door to his cabin and motioned her inside.

Sloane slowly entered the cabin, but quickly moved aside as Ji-hyun began to run around and clean his room bed he could. She couldn’t help but chuckle slightly. She didn’t care how clean or messy it was. Honestly, it was the first cabin she’s been in aside from her own. It wasn’t like people were lining up to befriend the awkward weird girl who could probably make them all go crazy.

"Sorry, just a moment," Ji-hyun said as he continued to rush around, clearing a chair and gathering things together best he could.

"It’s ok," Sloane said as she looked around the room. Instead of focusing on the mess she took in his way of life. The little bits of decoration, the places he seemed to enjoy the most… Of course, the bed, which was no surprise, considering his parentage. Even in the clutter it felt far more welcoming and warm than her own cabin. But one major thing was different… No Sylas. She couldn’t help but be envious of that fact.

Ji-hyun turned the now cleared chair around and offered it to her as he spoke. "If I'd known someone was coming in I would have tidied up this morning." He went to take a seat on the bed but quickly stood back up. "Um, yes. I have a first aid kit in the cabinet."

Ji-hyun went to grab it before Sloane could offer to retrieve it herself. She gave a slight smile as she reached out and took the kit from him, then motioned for him to take a seat on the bed opposite her. "You didn’t need to pick up for me. This is your home now, I’m just a guest," Sloane said as she opened the first aid kit and began to rummage through it’s contents for what she needed.

Sloane paused, tucking her bottom lip between her teeth as she thought. "Umm… It might be better to do this in the bathroom." She closed the box and moved to her feet. Sloane didn’t wait for him to agree or disagree. Instead she gently took his non-injured hand and led him to his bathroom. She put down the toilet lid, then gently motioned for him to sit down.

She set the first aid kit down on the counter and began to pull out the things she’d need: alcohol, gauze, ointment, needle, thread, tape. Sloane made sure her hair was out of her face before she gently took Ji-hyun’s wounded hand. "It looks worse than it is," she said as she turned on tepid water and carefully guided his blood covered hand beneath it. She was careful to be gentle as she wiped his skin clean, avoiding putting the wound directly under the water source.

Sloane turned off the water and grabbed the alcohol. "This part won’t be pleasant… I’m sorry," she said sheepishly as she removed the cap then took hold of his hand again. She waited for his ok, then poured the alcohol over the wound. Sloane could only imagine how much it burned but she knew an injury this deep had to be flushed to avoid infection. Ji-hyun would be thankful for it later.

Once it was clean, Sloane kneeled on the ground before him. She took a towel and dried his hand as gently as she could manage. She leaned in closer to assess the wound, trying to gauge how deeply he was cut. "I think… You may need a couple stitches. Three, maybe five. But it looks pretty deep."

Sloane made quick work of stitching him up, trying to make the discomfort pass as swiftly as possible. She then held his hand in her left, while her right gently rubbed ointment along the cut. And finally, she wrapped his hand so that no new bacteria or anything else could get into it. "I don’t know if it’s the prettiest mending… But it’s better than being forced to stay in the med hut overnight for a little cut." Sloane smiled up a him slightly before she stood back up and began to clean up after herself.

“I mean I could, but that’s not very fun, or effective,” Trinity said with a slight smile. Wes saw through it though. They both knew the truth… That no matter how much she begged him to be careful and to think of himself, he couldn’t. Not when she was more important than himself. Of course, she’d disagree. But that was what relationships were like right? Although relationship was a loose term… Wes was committed to Trinity, but they never put a label on what they were. He didn’t want to pressure her and he was content waiting. But in his eyes, he’d do anything for her… And dying for her fell under that category. He was almost certain she knew that he was that type of person and unfortunately, no matter how much she persisted, his nature wouldn’t change.

He smiled contently as they sat there, letting his eyes close when her fingers first ran through his hair. But Wes’ eyes quickly shot open when she gave his hair a tug rather than affectionately playing with his hair. He raised his head to look over at her with furrowed brows only to be met by a sly grin and a pat on his head. Wes rolled his eyes slightly and was about to rest his head against her shoulder, but before he could Trinity broke the silence.

“Now, before you rudely interrupted, tell me how the lover responds to love then. Fair enough, you're not textbook definition of a fighter, but say some girls were sexy and charming and they wanted a piece of Wesley Preston, do you feed their appetite?”

Wes’ brows furrowed as he sighed, adjusting how he was sitting so that he could look at her. It seemed just enjoying each other’s company wasn’t on the menu. “You don’t like silence very much, do you?” he teased. “Well…” he started, trying to think of his answer. He had never been asked something like that before. “Before camp… Before you, I would have went with them.” His gaze drifted off, focusing on some insignificant piece of dirt rather than look at her. “I wasn’t a good person before camp, not to say I’m much better now… But your assumptions of the type of person I was… They aren’t wrong.”

It wasn’t easy admitting to the girl he cared for the kind of person he was. Wes could tell she was trying to see how he used to be, maybe to see if he wasn’t like the stereotype of Aphrodite kids… But the truth was… he was. Womanizer was an adequate term. He didn’t know the number of women and honestly, Wes didn’t want to sit down and figure it out. Since he’s been at camp he’s changed, tried to be a better person and thinking back on how he used to be only filled him with disgust… for himself.

Wes could see Trinity’s wheels turning before she asked another question. “So...so, erhm, who becomes insatiable in that case, when they sleep together? Is it Aphrodite or... the people?”

“I uh…” Wes struggled for words, clenching his jaw slightly as he thought. “It depends on the people. I don’t think I can give a clear answer. Some people are like vampires when it comes to their lust… I don’t think it has to do with a connection to Aphrodite, but personal appetite.”

Trinity sat there silent for a while, but out of the corner of his eye Wes could see the thoughts and questions all over his face. Her expression made his stomach turn and not while his gaze diverted. Her arm tightened around his neck, causing his breath to catch for a brief moment before he looked over at her. “Can you tell me about - ”

Then the sound of Andy’s cabin door closing followed by Mason walking off without a word caught his attention. Wes didn’t know if he was thankful for the interruption as he felt the tension leave him… Or angered by it. Deep down Wes knew these questions and the conversation was inevitable. Maybe it would be good to get it out of the way sooner rather than later so Trinity could decide if she could accept… or not accept the person he was and, in part, still is.

“Oh boy,” Trinity mumbled before standing up. Wes sighed softly, letting his hand fall from her side and rest on his knee. “Should I go check on her?”

Wes pushed off his knee as he stood up and ran a hand through his hair. “You know Andy better than me.” He could tell Andy has been acting weird for a while now. Every since the new year started, it was like a gut feeling inside him said that something was off. Just something small, almost like a tumor that was slowly growing inside her. Wes wasn’t all knowing but he could feel something dark when he was around her and it wasn’t Andy, it was foreign. Wes hadn’t told anyone because how do you explain something like that to someone else and expect them to believe you? He had felt it around some of the other campers as well. He couldn’t help but wonder if it was something else, but he had no proof beyond a guy feeling. So, he remained silent on the matter.

“Maybe she needs girl time.” He shrugged slightly. “She’s dealing with her brother… But she is also dealing with her boyfriend and her best friend constantly trying to kill each other. I can’t imagine it’s easy for her to open up completely to either one of them.” Wes sighed, looking in the direction Mason disappeared in. “I could go talk to him. I don’t know how much help I could be… But I’m not a Valis.”

Andy didn't immediately tell Emery to go away, which was good. Emery would have been prepared to leave the other girl alone if she'd wanted, but she thought maybe all Andy needed was a calming presence. "Yeah. Had a run in with Sylas during the game. Just a nice little souvenir."

Emery frowned. Her first impression had been that it was an injury sustained during the game earlier, but for Sylas to have inflicted damage on that level? "He doesn't seem like good news." Emery's tone was casual, but she was already wary. She couldn't expect everyone to be nice, but when people had powers like they did at camp... anyone with a malicious streak was already more dangerous.

"I could conjure something for you… Anything you want. Or, ya know, bore you with boring conversation about stuff you probably don’t care about. Sadly I’m not as entertaining as I used to be."

She considered the offer. "You don't have to give me anything in return. Maybe you can just talk, and we'll say you owe me a favour." Emery smiled, placing her hands gently on either side of Andy's face. "This won't hurt." Concentrating on her palms, she sent a brief rush of healing energy to Andy. A brief shimmer moved over Andy's face, blocking her nose from view, and when the light dissipated it was as good as new, leaving only faint traces of dried blood. "There. Feeling better?" Emery withdrew her hands, sitting back to survey Andy's face. "You certainly look better."

"You didn’t need to pick up for me. This is your home now, I’m just a guest."

Ji-hyun scrunched his face up. "Uh, I disagree. If anything, it should be clean because you're a guest. But because I am sloppy, you had to see this." He gestured vaguely around him with his injured arm, forgetting for a moment about the wound - until it began hurting again. He drew it back protectively just as Sloane began leading him to the bathroom, settling himself on the toilet lid while she got ready.

Instead of hurting, the stream of water running over his hand felt soothing as it washed most of the blood away. Ji-hyun allowed himself to relax a little, his eyes fixed on the wound. Sloane was right - once he could really see it it didn't look that bad. He met her eyes, nodding. "I just want to get it over with." He wished she wouldn't wait. Still, the sting of the alcohol was over in a moment, Ji-hyun gritting his teeth the whole way.

The stitching went by fairly quickly, too. "You've got pretty steady hands," he said once she as done, meaning it as a compliment. "Here, let me help." He stood beside her, assisting in packing the first aid kit. "I bet you're a lot better than the med hut staff," he joked. "And think of the cool scar I'm going to get out of this. I'm no good at combat but it'll be a story to tell." Ji-hyun surveyed himself in the mirror for a moment.

A minute later he seemed to remember Sloane was beside him. "Do you want a drink? I think I've got some soda in the fridge. I've got to find a way to thank you, too."

"He doesn't seem like good news," Emery commented on Sylas.

"I don't think I'm the best judge of character." Andy laughed weakly. "The only thing I do know, is he is very competitive... Obviously," she rolled her eyes playfully while motioning to the state of her face.

"You don't have to give me anything in return. Maybe you can just talk, and we'll say you owe me a favour."

"Deal," she smiled softly. Andy helped her friends so often, that receiving help from someone herself was strange. Part of her was happy that it was someone else, someone new, rather than the people she's been surrounded by for the past year. As much as she loves and cares about them, it can also become suffocating keeping this front up that she was ok. That she wasn't, changing, depressed and struggling to go from day to day. Andy remembered what it was like being new at the camp, and it was never easy, especially surrounded by all these powerful and intimidating demigods. So, in the end, maybe this moment of peace would be good for both of them.

"This won't hurt," Emery reassured her as she placed her hands on either side of Andy's face. A shimmer of light grew over her face slowly, the brightness causing her to close her eyes. Then before she knew it, Emery withdrew her hands. "There. Feeling better?"

Andy raised her hand and gently started tapping her nose, before fully grabbing it and rubbing it to see if she felt anything. She smiled from behind her hand. "I don't feel a thing."

"You certainly look better."

She laughed, rubbing her nose once more before dropping her hands into her lap. "Thanks. I had kinda, just, accepted that I was going to have a crooked nose the rest of my life. Would have made for an interesting story." Andy adjusted how she sat, letting her legs hang off the cliff as she looked out over the water. "How did you fair in Capture the Flag? I don't think I saw you... But to be honest, it seems no matter where I go I always end up in the thick of drama." She chuckled, not happily but more of an exhausted laugh of someone who's accepted that this was her life and there was nothing that could be changed about it. "I'm sure a daughter of Artemis would be killer at a game like that. Much better than me." She smiled.

Ji-Hyun sat still and calm the entire time Sloane doctored his wound. She didn't waste her time, but still tried to be as gentle as possible as she worked. She was so used to Sylas's complaining and squirming, that having someone calm and patient made everything proceed easily with little mess. "You've got pretty steady hands," he said once Sloane had finished, wrapping the final bandage around his hand.

"My brother is very... accident prone, Sloane replied with a slight smile. "He also is such a baby with things like this. Sylas was not very good at sitting still." She moved over to the sink and began washing her hands. "But thanks," she added.

"Here, let me help," Ji-Hyun said as he moved beside her and aided in putting away the first aid kit. Sloane glanced over at him from the corner of her eye, smiling briefly. "I bet you're a lot better than the med hut staff."

Sloane's smile grew slightly at the jest. "Well, I never claimed to be a doctor."

"And think of the cool scar I'm going to get out of this. I'm no good at combat but it'll be a story to tell."

She watched him survey himself in the mirror, before putting the first aid kit back in its home. "It might warrant a story. Someone might think you made a blood pact for a cult or something with a scar like that," Sloane joked. She didn't want to be rude and wonder about Ji-hyun's cabin, especially when he seemed embarrassed by the state of it, not that she minded. So, instead she tried to stand as casually as she could in the bathroom. "Oh," she added, pointing to his hand. "Try not to flex it too much for... a week? You could pop a stitch or reopen it."

"Do you want a drink? I think I've got some soda in the fridge. I've got to find a way to thank you, too."

"Sure," she replied. Then after a moment she spoke up once more. "You don't have to make it up to me. It's kind of my fault you were hurt in the first place. If I would have stayed and helped, instead of chasing after Wesley... Sorry." Sloane looked down at her hands slightly. This would be the moment where her brother would scold her for the better part of an hour. In Sylas's eyes she never did anything right, unless it was using her Eris given powers. Then he was envious... Jealous that someone like her, who doesn't wish to have them, is better than him.

Sloane shook her head slightly, trying to shake away the thoughts. "Sorry, I got lost in my own mind." She wasn't used to having conversations of any length with anyone other than her family. Keeping a conversation alive was never her strong suit, but still she tried. "Can I ask you something? Being a child of Hypnos, are you actually tired all the time?" She laughed, hearing how dumb the question was once she asked. "Is that just a stereotype?"

"I kind of feel like it’s the equivalent of sending red riding hood into the wolf den." Trinity wasn't wrong. Wes and Mason might have had ten conversations in the past year, if you want to consider them conversations. But he understood something the brooding son of Hades didn't, emotions. No, he didn't think Mason was void of emotions, but Wes could feel them as they are happening. He knows how people feel, if he wants to or not. And something was off with Andy. He would hate for a friendship to be put through more hardship than the two of them already have, because the girl is struggling with things she is going through. Wes could try to explain this to Mason... Although, it was unlikely he'd listen, especially to him.

"You have not being a Valis in your favour but..." Wes sighed, letting his gaze fall to his hand. He knew Trinity meant well, but sometimes, how often she thought he shouldn't do something got to him. Don't fight, don't get involved... Whatever it was. Was he that fragile? Or a ticking time bomb?

Trinity turned to face him. "Well, I'm gonna try this 'girl time' out and I will see you... Later?"

Wes nodded his head. "You'll know where to find me," he said quietly as he watched her walk away. He sat there for a good while, second guessing his decision to talk to Mason. But in the end, he decided it was something he wanted to do. There was so much crap going on at the camp, that if he could stop one fight by talking to dark and gloomy, then he would do it. Wes wasn't in a rush though, he casually strolled through the woods, passing by other campers as he made his way to Mason's cabin. As he rounded the corner, he came to a halt seeing an unfamiliar blonde on his porch. Wes's brows furrowed as he stood there like an idiot trying to decide if he should continue forward or turn around.

In the end, he pivoted on his heels and started walking in a different direction. Wes had no idea where to go, instead he just wondered aimlessly around the woods, kicking the occasional rock or stick. He eventually came upon a little opening in the trees where the wind blew softly and the sunlight illuminated the grass and dandelions. With a sigh, he sat down and laid back in the soft grass. It wasn't long that he was lying there when he felt something tickle his fingertips. It nearly made him jump out of his skin as he sat up abruptly, coming to find a rabbit that had scurried back a few feet. "Oh, uh... Sorry little guy, you scared me." Wes extended his hand back out toward the small fluff ball, letting calming emotions flow into the bunny. "Gods, when did I become the animal whisper?" He laughed to himself.

Sylas’s brows raised as the trio of newbies turned around after he spoke. He flashed his best smile. Did he mean it? Of course not. He couldn’t careless about most of these sniveling drama queens at the camp. This trio was no different. They seemed inseparable, arriving together, wondering together. Splitting them up or turning them against one another would be a fun task, but at the moment he was more focused on the tip toeing Alex. So, instead he allowed subtle feelings of discomfort emit out from him into the three of them. Just enough.

"Oh, we just arrived here so if there was any orientation we missed it."

"No kidding," he mused, looking between them. Sylas didn't say anything else, instead his eyes squinted slightly as he studied them. He could feel their discomfort, even before he heightened it. Surprisingly it wasn't because of himself, which would have been understandable. Afterall, under his friendly layers is a sociopath. He could only imagine that someone people get a pit in their gut when around him, not that Sylas minded. But they were discomforted... By Alex. The thought nearly made him laugh, but he kept it to himself. Funny how these so called leaders of the camp become so unhinged. It's too easy.

"Well, we'll just get explore the stable a bit more. Thanks and nice meeting you Alex."

He nodded his head toward them as they left Sylas alone with Alex, who quickly walked right up to him. He wasn't intimidated. His casual stature leaning against the doorframe, didn't change in the slightest.

"Have we met?"

Sylas pointed to himself as he spoke, "Sylas Astor, I was at the party last night and also was part of Capture the Flag. I suppose I'm easy to overlook for someone as popular as you and your brother. My sister and I are both newer here... She's brunette, awkward, doesn't really talk to anyone. So, you probably missed her." He chuckled slightly.

He parted his lips to say more, but said nothing as his brows furrowed together. Sylas couldn't see the person but he could feel... emotions moving closer to them. He pushed off the doorframe, uncrossing his arms as he looked around. Then he heard it. It was quiet, a whisper but there was power behind the words. "Hit him."

Before Alex could do anything, Sylas quickly reached out and grabbed her arm by the wrist. "You aren't very subtle," he said in the direction of mischievous emotions Sylas felt coming from the shadows. He was not in the mood to be punch in the face, he was still sore from his encounter with Andy earlier. That's when the thought hit him. With his hand on Alex, keeping her from hitting him and her attention distracted, he let the tendrils of discord slowly flow from him and into her. Physical touch always made for the strongest influence and he focused these feelings toward Andy. The girl who is taking your brother away from you and turning him against you slowly. She doesn't care about you. She thinks you're a murderer. You know the truth, Andy is just using your brother to isolate you, because you killed Jennova. You hurt the man she really cares about. She doesn't care about you. She doesn't care about Ajax. You need to protect your brother.

Sylas slowly released Alex's hand, still looking around suspiciously. "Sorry, I'd rather not be punched, if you don't mind." He flashed her a sympathetic smile.

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
Hex: #d63b71|

Image As her almond-shaped hues remained on Sylas, listening to him babble about himself and a sister, another newcomer had emerged from the shadows, his words tumbling as quietly as he thought they were, into her ear. Sylas had caught them without a strain, and before she could react, Sylas reacted quickly. "Get your hand off me now." She warned him. Electricity began to climb up through her arm's veins, making their way towards the hand that had grabbed hold of her wrist. He slowly let go after his little words snagged and bewitched her already unhinged mind. Both of them had way with words. She wanted to punch Sylas, and she wanted to keep Andy from ever turning her big brother away from her.

Don't listen to them. her voice told her.

She took a wary step back from them both. Their words were poison. Listen to me. No longer was the voice going to remain dormant in the shadows of her lost self. The woman she used to be was still inside of her somewhere, screaming. You're absolutely pathetic.

"Shut up." she said, her fingers pushing up through her hair. She clenched her fingers tightly, almost like she was about to pull large clumps of hair out as she also tightly screwed up her eyes.

"Useless. Weak."

"Stop.." She stepped back again, knowing that she probably looked crazy as hell to both Sylas and Pete by now. If she opened her eyes, they'd no doubt be staring at her or looking toward each other to confirm she was crazy, and maybe even a chorus of laughter. The voice was definitely laughing at her. Maybe they all laughed behind her back.

The Gods should kill you. Put you out of your misery. It would do everyone a favor.

"I SAID. SHUT. UP!" she yelled. Her eyes snapped open. They were glowing a hot white as she tightened her arms and fists with heavy breaths.

AJAX VALIS
SON OF ZEUS
Hex: Green |

Image "What, no rules first? No kidney punches, powers?"

Ajax smirked at Duke's words and gave a little shrug. "Nope." he smiled, ready for what Duke had quickly planned for him, which happened to be a ball of flames. He could have dodged it, but instead, he blasted a translucent blueish toned shield wall in front of him. It bent over him at his head and feet like a curved war shield. Ajax grinned. "Nice" he motioned his head to the pads near to his brother.

Duke grabbed them. "Happy to play therapist if you need," he said as he moved his hand in to meet Ajax's punches.

Ajax didn't like how he always unloaded all his crap onto Duke. "And you know I'm happy to do the same for you, right? you play therapist enough for me." he strains the last couple of words as he throws a couple of more punches to the pads, not even breaking into a sweat just yet.

"How are you and Andy doing?"

At the mention of Andy, Mason popped into his head, causing his fists to hit the pads a little harder than he intended. "Sorry." he held his hand out to steady Duke, making sure he didn't lose his balance too much. "We're...." he sighed, but shook off the anger and carried on to jab the pads while they talked. "I don't know. Since Jenn's death, Andy naturally took her friend's side as I would with yours, so... I don't blame her for wanting to stay away from me at this point. I haven't spoken to her since I snapped at her. My pride just, you know? maybe I should try and grab her when she's not around Prince Evil. I can... I don't know... say I'm sorry? but then again... that's just words. How can I show her?" His pride just wouldn't let him admit he was wrong half the time. He hated seeming weak in front of those he was supposed to be a leader to. Not many understood his complicated ways, but Alex, Trinity, and Duke did. Even Andy did most the time, when Mason wasn't around her, filling her head with garbage. Mason was sure doing his damn best to make Andy turn on her own boyfriend. But as smart as she has always been, Ajax hoped that she would have a mind of her own and not let it be influenced by the thoughts and feelings of others. He had been such a jerk to her, but turning on his sister when she didn't have the full story, was what annoyed him. Everyone began to quickly judge Alex without realizing WHY she did it. I guess it was easier to point fingers at her since she wasn't as tough-skinned, but that didn't make Alex weak. It made her a loving, caring person.

When Duke failed to grabble him, Ajax smiled. "Almost." he winked and laughed.

"What about Alex then? I know you worry about her safety, but....what are your thoughts on the whole Jennova thing?"

Ajax let out a sigh this time. He wasn't annoyed that Duke had brought it up, just... conflicted with the way he felt about the entire situation. "Well... obviously I didn't want her to murder someone else because that's not who she is. She was pushed too far. I understand Mason's anger and need for revenge, I mean... I'd be the same way if it were Alex who--" he quickly shook away the anxiety that crept through him about his little sister being dead and cold in the Earth. "But, I love Al. I can't turn my back on her. Even if she slaughtered the entire camp, I don't think I'd be able to cut my ties with her. I know it would be my responsibility to stop her if things started to get that bad, but... what if I can't? does that make me a selfish bad person?"

Just as he was about to address more about the issue, he turned his head and looked to the sky. "Duke," he motioned his head toward the direction he was looking. Settled above the stables were darkening clouds that rolled around in a steady cyclone motion, getting darker and darker by the second. It couldn't have been anyone else other than his sister since they didn't have the powers to manipulate the weather. The pit of his stomach began to churn, and with one tap on his brother's arm, Ajax headed towards the brewing storm that now had charges of lightning sparking out like tentacles. He broke out into a run.

Image His sister's eyes were glowing white. He had never seen her in this state before, and honestly, it scared him. How much had these two jerks pushed her to erupt like this? "Al...it's me... your brother." he held his hand out as he slowly walked toward her, side glancing at the two idiots who were dumb enough to stick around at this point, but then again, if they had possibly moved it might have set Alex to attack them, thinking they were moving to harm her. No sudden movements are what she needed. "Al... look at me." she took her attention off Pete and Sylas, her white eyes now on her brother. "Just pay attention to my voice, okay?.... take in steady, calm breathes... breathe with me." as he carried on to slowly make his way toward her, he ignored the onlookers and showed her how to calm herself. Luckily, she was following him for once. "Good, you can do this. Keep going. Picture somewhere quiet where you're alone. Allow it to fill you." he looked up, and steadily took hold of her shoulders as the storm began to swirl back up into the clouds, turning shades of darkened grey, to white clouds and blue sky. Her eyes were no longer white. "You back with us?" he smiled, followed by a nervous chuckle.

She quickly hugged him, holding herself tightly to his torso as she cried into it. Feeling ashamed and embarrassed. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her protectively as he looked toward the two guys. "You two. Head to the main hall. Now." he ordered, his voice so deep it rumbled before tightening his jaw."And don't even think about detouring, or not heading there, because I will find you."

Emery waved a hand, laughing a little at Andy's comment. "A crooked nose might have improved your face a little. No offense," she added hurriedly. "You're really pretty. My grandma would have said a bit of difference, a once-broken nose maybe, would have added some character to your face. But I'm glad you look again." She flopped onto her back, staring up into the sky, squinting against the light a little. Maybe Andy had had the right idea, coming up here. Camp could be so stifling with everyone always standing around.

"How did you fair in Capture the Flag? I don't think I saw you... But to be honest, it seems no matter where I go I always end up in the thick of drama."

"Me?" Emery turned her face, looking at Andy as she considered the question. "I was on forward duty, moving towards the flag. Unfortunately, you know, I didn't really manage to move too far."

"Don't be too hard on yourself. I mean, I don't know what you did, but I didn't quite manage to play my part either, which was pretty disappointing, to be honest." A bird wheeled overhead, and Emery's eyes tracked its movement, her fingers flexing as if missing the weight of a bow. "I'd hoped to be able to at least see some action. I'm definitely going to work harder on our next training activity." She didn't want to show it, but she wanted to prove herself to the others at camp, to show that she was more than just a pretty face.

But for now they could just enjoy their peaceful spot together. She sighed, comfortable. "How are you dealing with all the drama? Seems like you could use a break."

"You don't have to make it up to me. It's kind of my fault you were hurt in the first place. If I would have stayed and helped, instead of chasing after Wesley... Sorry."

Ji-hyun, already halfway out of the bathroom in pursuit of the soda he'd squirrelled away, paused. He turned to survey Sloane with a quizzical look. "There's no need to be sorry, Sloane. Things happen. Besides, Wes came well prepared." Another few steps and he was across the room by the fridge, pulling two ice-cold cans of soda out. "My friends know I don't mind when things go wrong. Things just happen. Sometimes..." Ji-hyun paused, trying to find a more delicate way to put it. There wasn't really, so he gave up. "Sometimes things are shit. What are you gonna do about it? Just keep moving around it."

He managed to shift some more things around, arranging two chairs comfortably together. Reaching a hand out to Sloane, he gestured to the chairs, settling himself in one. Once she had occupied the other, he handed her the drink, cracking his open with a soft hiss. "To Sloane, the only medic to ever apologise to me." He tipped the can in her direction, then took a sip, relishing in the cool drink.

"Can I ask you something?"

"You just did, but sure." Ji-hyun grinned wickedly, unable to help the joke.

"Being a child of Hypnos, are you actually tired all the time? Is that just a stereotype?"

"Is that what people are saying about me?" He spoke in an affronted tone, but the amusement in his eyes said otherwise. "I'll have you know, Sloane, that I can in fact operate on very little sleep if I wanted. I could sleep for an hour each day and still be able to run circles around you. The difference is that I choose not to, because I have better things to exert energy on. Like right now." He spread his arms, gesturing to the both of them. "I'm sitting in a comfortable cabin with a friend and cold drink on a warm day. Alaric would have me out there fencing or learning how to take a tiger down with a nail file or whatever. It's obvious which is better."

"A crooked nose might have improved your face a little. No offense," Emery said causing Andy laugh softly, while shrugging her shoulders. There are much worse things that having a bent nose. "You're really pretty. My grandma would have said a bit of difference, a once-broken nose maybe, would have added some character to your face. But I'm glad you look again."

Andy smiled sheepishly at the comment about her being pretty. It wasn't something she heard often, not even from Ajax. Compliments were always a foreign concept to her. But she appreciated it, nonetheless. "I think I would have liked your grandmother. Was she a big role model in your life?" Andy never met her grandparents. Presumably, they passed before she was born. Her father never talked about them much and since they bounced from one base to another frequently, it wasn't like she would of had to the opportunity to meet them if they were still alive. Her life was always absent a female role model of any sort, so whenever someone mentioned their own mothers, aunts or grandmothers, it piqued her curiosity.

"Me?" Emery asked.

"No, the guy standing behind you," Andy teased, pointing to the tree line behind Emery.

"I was on forward duty, moving towards the flag. Unfortunately, you know, I didn't really manage to move too far." Andy nodded her head, her gaze fixed on the sight beyond the cliff. Capture the Flag was definitely one of the exercises where some would flourish and others would be lost wondering around aimlessly until the final horn blew. She, herself, was only in the game for her brief encounter with Sylas before the drama of... everything pulled her away from it. She shook her head trying to shake off the thoughts. Andy needed a moment, this moment, to... breathe and not think about it.

"Don't be too hard on yourself. I mean, I don't know what you did, but I didn't quite manage to play my part either, which was pretty disappointing, to be honest." Andy nearly laughed at the comment about what part she played in the game. She didn't. She did what she does nearly every day... Keep Mason and Ajax from killing each other. Or better yet, protecting Alex who doesn't deserve it, so that Mason and Ajax didn't kill each other. "I'd hoped to be able to at least see some action. I'm definitely going to work harder on our next training activity."

"If you're ever wanting to train, I'd be happy to train with you. I'm sure Trinity would love to join as well." Andy glanced over her shoulder at Emery and smiled slightly. "I wouldn't worry too much about the exercises, honestly. We all learn more from training and sparring with each other anyway." A sad smile crossed her lips as she looked down at her hands. "If my brother was..." Her voice trailed off momentarily. "I'd warn you not to train with him. He has a tendency to make shit hit the fan. If I remember correctly, one time he conjured Leatherface or Jason... I don't know, one of those horror film baddies to chase after Trinity." She laughed softly. "He was a troublemaker... But like the good kind."

Then there was a comfortable silence. Gods, Andy forgot what that was like. For there to be a content calm, no arguing, death threats or apologies. She was so tired of the apologies. There comes a point where someone saying sorry so many times that it just, loses its meaning and Andy was tired of hearing it. But here, it felt like camp... Before everything. It was nice.

"How are you dealing with all the drama? Seems like you could use a break."

Andy let out a deep before laying back on the ground beside Emery. "That's the understatement of the year." Surprising, to herself, she was able to laugh about it, not a fake one but a real genuine laugh. "It's exhausting... It's like being a referee for lions." The sky began to rumble over head, a storm growing out of no where on a sunny day. Andy knew what it was and for the first time, she was in the presence of someone she didn't have to hide her true feelings around. She let out an audible groan and rolled her eyes. Such a small gesture but it felt like being able to breathe. She's never been able to just, get pissy about the whole situation without retaliation. "Looks like someone set her off."

Ji-Hyun froze halfway across his room, pivoting on his heels to turn and look at Sloane. "There's no need to be sorry, Sloane. Things happen. Besides, Wes came well prepared." He then continued on his path and grabs two sodas for them. "My friends know I don't mind when things go wrong. Things just happen. Sometimes... Sometimes things are shit. What are you gonna do about it? Just keep moving around it."

True enough, but was she his friend? Sloane hardly thought spending part of a day could change people from strangers to friends. But she was not the expert when it came to what counted as friendship. Her life has been absent of that comfort for as long as she can remember. She stood there patiently, watching as Ji-Hyun moved around two chairs for them. He motioned toward one for her, before he took his own seat. Sloane glanced to the door slightly. She could leave. Had she overstayed her welcome? But the thought of leaving and being faced with her brother, or worse, explaining to him where she's been, she decided to stay.

Sloane made her way across the room, taking the seat beside him. She took the offered can from Ji-hyun and cracked it open. "To Sloane, the only medic to ever apologize to me."

She chuckled softly and raised her can to meet his, then took a sip. Sloane laughed again at his sarcastic comment about her already asking a question, before he answered. "Is that what people are saying about me?"

Sloane paused with the can pressed to her lips and shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know what anyone says. I'm not really the most approachable person at camp," she admitted. Not that she overly minded that fact. She avoided people for a reason and that reason was Sylas.

"I'll have you know, Sloane, that I can in fact operate on very little sleep if I wanted. I could sleep for an hour each day and still be able to run circles around you. The difference is that I choose not to, because I have better things to exert energy on. Like right now." He motioned around in a general nature before continuing. "I'm sitting in a comfortable cabin with a friend and cold drink on a warm day. Alaric would have me out there fencing or learning how to take a tiger down with a nail file or whatever. It's obvious which is better."

Friend? Well that answered that question. Sloane smiled slightly as she ran her fingertip along the edge of the can. "You have a point... Some people here aren't what their parents have painted them to be." She raised the soda to her lips. "And some are," she concluded before taking a drink. Her gaze drifted to his window, where she happened to see a few campers passing by and what looked like a storm that grew in the sky. Her brows furrowed slightly. Something in her gut said that those clouds had something to do with her brother. But she refused to trouble herself with his own chaos.

"For what it's worth," she added, filling the silence that had grown. "I don't think I fall under what would be assumed for an Eris child." Sloane adjusted how she sat in the chair, tucking her right leg underneath her as she got more comfortable. "I mean... I have the abilities, and I'm actually better at them than my brother," she said in a hushed tone, almost as if she were afraid he could hear her if she spoke too loud. "But I don't find much pleasure in using them."

Slowly the rabbit moved its way from sniffing his fingertips, to allowing him to gently pet its ears. "See, that's not so bad is it?" Wes had never been much of a nature person. He had never been camping or canoeing and even if he could swim before his accident, well that was shot. But it seems that over his time at camp, he had at least gotten somewhat decent with animals. It was a subtle way for him to make sure his abilities didn't get rusty because he never liked using them on another person. But animals didn't come with the baggage that half of the people at camp had. So, much drama and tension. It was only a matter of time before someone overstepped and everyone was at each other’s throats. What was expected putting a bunch of superpowered teenagers together? They already cause enough trouble in High School, abilities only make it worse. But animals were simple. Once they were calm, they all wanted the same thing, comfort and companionship.

Wes had zoned out petting the fluffy little thing as his mind wondered, only to be brought back when the rabbit leapt into his lap. "What the—" He caught the little guy in his arm, slowly calming it as he looked around. It was until he glanced back over his shoulder that he noticed they were no longer alone. A blonde girl, young in comparison to the other campers by the looks of her. She was trying to catch her breath, and definitely looked like she was expecting to run into anyone.

He didn't want to frighten her. Wes could feel how shaken up she was and he wasn't going to press it, nor force her to be calm. He gently let the rabbit settle itself into his lap before he raised his hand in a surrendering manner. "Don't worry, you're safe." He gestured to the absence of people around him. "It's just me and uh..." Wes looked down at the rabbit. He had no idea if it was a male or female, nor did he have any intentions of hiking up its leg and checking. "Frank. Frank is a good name. Do you like that name?" He asked the rabbit, who was already half asleep in his lap. "And honestly, I think he's more dangerous than I am."

Wes smiled warmly and lowered his hand back to pet Frank's head. At a place like this, anyone could be a threat, but he found it hard to believe if anyone saw a one armed son of Aphrodite as anything but comical. "You can join us if you want... There's plenty of soft grass, so you don't have to sit anywhere near the weirdo with one arm talking to a bunny." He laughed to himself. Wes new Trinity would find this funny if she saw him like this. "I'm Wes... Son of Aphrodite." Because people at camp seem to care about that sort of thing. "And about as useful in combat as chopsticks."

With that he smiled at her welcomingly. "Oh yeah," he added, scooping up Frank in his arm. The ball of white fluff resting its head into Wes's hand, ears twitching at the sounds of birds above and leaves rustling. "And this is Frank. We became best friends like 5 minutes ago." He chuckled as he placed Frank back down in his lap gently.

"Get your hand off me now."

Sylas released her arm, holding up his hands in a surrendering manner as he took a step back. He made a sideways glance toward the new guy, raising his brows slightly. Damn this chick had a taste for the dramatics. Regardless of whatever things he implanted in her mind, he simply stopped her from punching him and she got her panties in a bunch. He had to repress the urge to roll her eyes at her anger. "I don't ask for permission when it comes to self defense. You'll be fine."

Of course, she wasn't. Like the flip of a coin, she started freaking out like a person in utter denial, or maybe someone losing what remained of her sanity. Sylas leaned back out the door slightly, to look up at the sky, seeing it change in an instant overhead. But he didn't back down, he stood there and watched as the chaos consumed her. It took everything in him to not smile at the downward she displayed before him. Sylas didn't think it would be so easy... So, simple. He usually took his time building people up, chipping away at their insecurities. Alex must have been tip toeing on the edge of instability for some time now, for one simple influence to push her over. He saw it now, plain as day, Alex was his key to the destruction of this camp. And the one person who would be more than happy to assist him, was the one person who wanted her dead.

Alex's eyes started to glow white as the rage boiled over in her. Sylas looked over at the stranger, quirking a brow. Was this a game of chicken now? They both caused this. Admittedly, more Sylas than him. Now it was a test of bravery to see who would out last the other before running for shelter. He was curious how long the other guy would last, but he had no plan to move. He wanted to witness this all first hand.

But then... Captain Camp showed up to calm Alex down. Sylas's interest quickly diminished. He turned on his heels and started to leave when he heard Ajax's annoying voice order him. "You two. Head to the main hall. Now. And don't even think about detouring, or not heading there, because I will find you."

Sylas couldn't hold it back this time, he let out a laugh as he slid his hands into his pockets. "No." Simple, concise and to the point.

“I didn’t mean for all that.” Really? Because Sylas did. Unfortunate how people don't have the balls to back up their actions. If you're going to act so open... Stupidly, then fucking back it up. Don't tuck your tail between your legs and back pedal. Sylas wasn't caught, yet. So, anonymity was his friend. “Not that it’s worth much from the mouth of a Hera descendant, I suppose?” And the dots connect. Hera was known for her taste for chaos almost as much as his own mother. This was a gentleman he would like to get acquainted with, at a later date. “I don’t take orders from you. But come find me if you’re feeling bored.”

"Everyone else at camp might worship the ground you walk on, but you're not my superior. You are a camper here. Just like the rest of us." He took a step toward the door, pivoting around so he was walking backwards but still facing Ajax. "I'm not going to get scolded at like a puppy because I stopped your unstable sister from punching me. If you want me, come find me. But, it looks like you have your hands full anyway," he added while motioning toward the pair.

And before Ajax could argue otherwise, they both were gone. The son of Hera disappeared into the shadows, while Sylas confidently strolled down the path towards the woods, not even wasting the energy to look back. He had better places to be. Before he knew it, he found himself heading towards the cabins, one in particular, home to someone of a like mind. It was only a matter of time before he rounded one path, finding himself faced with a curious sight of Mason's lips pressed to a saucy blonde he had yet to set eyes upon. Far be it for Sylas to intervene. Instead he opted to lean his right shoulder against a nearby tree. It wasn't long that he raised a brow to approaching footsteps. He sighed, trying not to roll his eyes at the sight of the two men from the trio of newly arrived campers. Gods, did that group ever know how to sever the umbilical cord?

It took Emery a moment to place Trinity, scrolling through her mental list of the demigods she was aware of. "Trinity's an Ares, right? I'd love to train with you guys, if you'll have me." It would certainly help - she'd heard Ares children were known for their combat skills, and while she could definitely speak for her Artemis-given hunting gifts, it would definitely be interesting to see how she matched up to a veteran like Trinity.

Andy's usage of the past tense didn't slip past Emery. She scrambled for a way to skirt around the discomfort Andy would no doubt feel if she pursued the topic. "My grandma, yeah, she pretty much raised me. She was the toughest old lady I ever knew, and she wanted me to be perfect so she tried to lead by example." Emery thought about it for a while. "I miss her." The admission was unexpected, taking even Emery herself by surprise. She tried not to think about her grandma too much, focusing instead on how happy she would have been if she knew how well Emery was doing now.

"Looks like someone set her off."

Expecting to see someone else, Emery propped herself up on one elbow, looking around. "Set who off?" There was nobody else around, but a flash of lightning zipped overhead and caught her eye. Watching the storm visibly form in the sky, the connection was pretty easily made. "I take it you're not the biggest fan of the Zeus children? Or... just Alex?" It wasn't hard to catch gossip here and there of the relationship the Valis boy was in, but Emery didn't want to pry too much. Andy could share if she wanted to, that was all.

"Is it a just a stereotype, then, that Eris children are all manipulative?" Ji-hyun tossed the question back casually, smiling to show he didn't really mean it. "Would you say that the kids here are similar to their siblings? Because I haven't been paying attention, but if it's a stereotype maybe it's rooted in fact."

"For what it's worth, I don't think I fall under what would be assumed for an Eris child." Ji-hyun nodded attentively, nursing his soda in both hands. "I mean... I have the abilities, and I'm atually better at them than my brother. But I don't find much pleasure in using them."

Ji-hyun leaned forward, genuinely interested now. "What can you guys do? I assume children of discord are able to influence emotions, but I'm not too sure of your other abilities."

Outside thunder rumbled, and he instinctively turned to look out the window, eyes flicking up to the dark clouds. "Ah, those two, on the other hand... they could be good at what they did if they wanted to, but with all the storms they're bringing to camp it's a wonder the ecosystem isn't entirely ruined by unnecessary amounts of rain." He didn't think very much of the Zeus children, and he wasn't afraid to say so. "Total waste of energy if you ask me." He focused on Sloane again. "But nevermind them. You were saying?"

AJAX VALIS
SON OF ZEUS
Hex: Green |

Image "Forgive the intrusion, but my friend Ethan and I were just about to leave to go find my adopted sister, Iliana. She had taken off suddenly. Miss Alex, I do hope you feel better soon. Again, sorry for the interruption."

Alex didn't respond. Instead, she kept her arms wrapped around her brother who held her with his arm, her eyes watching as Ajax nodded once as a thank you before both of the guys headed off toward the cabins. They definitely didn't look like the sort to stir up something for nothing, or just to get a kick out of others reactions. Ajax understood their urgency to seek out their sister, and he wasn't about to hold them back from it, just to interrogate them further.

Being bowed to was a shock, but the other two's reaction to Ajax's authority wasn't.

“I didn’t mean for all that. Not that it’s worth much from the mouth of a Hera descendant, I suppose? I don’t take orders from you. But come find me if your feeling bored.” Ajax glared at Pete, and then looked at Sylas.

Sylas laughed. "No. Everyone else at camp might worship the ground you walk on, but you're not my superior. You are a camper here. Just like the rest of us." Oh how wrong he was. Ajax was more than just some leader/superior. He was heir to the throne of Mount Olympus. Ajax watched as he took a step toward the door, pivoting around so he was walking backward but still facing Ajax. "I'm not going to get scolded at like a puppy because I stopped your unstable sister from punching me. Ajax had to keep himself calm, hoping that Sylas wouldn't cross the line any more than that. Calling her unstable wasn't right, but any other words that came sprouting out of his mouth would, definitely, cross the line. "If you want me, come find me. But, it looks like you have your hands full anyway," There was no chance in hell that Ajax was going to run after him. He wasn't worth it. He'd allow the child to have his little staged limelight. For now.

They were both gone in no time. The son of Hera disappeared into the shadows, while Sylas confidently strolled down the path towards the woods.

Ajax rolled his eyes and clenched his jaw firmly as he shook his head. Both of them no doubt peacocking around the camp.

"Shall we get something to eat and drink? we haven't hung out together much, and I need to talk to you." They could have just spoken there, but it looked like Alex hadn't been eating much, or sleeping as much since her complexion was looking a lot paler than her Greek rooted tone. She had forgotten to take care of herself as she slipped into more and more depression. This entire situation with him neglecting her and leaving her on her own was a bad idea. He never should have allowed her to be by herself when he knew what happened with their mother.

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
Hex: #d63b71|

Image Alex silently nods before she follows him towards the hall.

She didn't have much of an appetite these days, but getting time with her brother... she needed it. The hall was lined with tables and chairs, a small reminder of a high school canteen. Only this time, the food was actually decent with no angry lunch lady glaring from behind the counter, making sure everyone enjoyed every mouthful of her food.

Alex took a seat after her brother did, and rested both her arms on the table. "So what did you want to talk about?" She frowned softly as her eyes remained on him.

Ajax glanced briefly across the hall towards the door before looking back to his sister. "About, mom."

Alex closed her eyes for a second or two before she sighed, and reopened them. "Do we really have to? I mean... fine... what about her?"

Mentioning her brought back painful memories for both of them, but Ajax needed to get to the bottom of what happened. Surely then the entire camp would cease from the drama it caused with not only Mason, but others that took his side to defend him. "Tell me exactly what you remember that night, and... how you found out the truth."

Alex took a deep breath and exhaled gently before she began to tell him all that she could remember...

It was during last year at camp, and during the holidays, Demi-gods and Demi-goddesses could choose if they wanted to remain at camp or spend some time with their family before returning for their new term of training. Camp Athens wasn't all training, though, there were always events and plenty of activities on the grounds such as... canoeing, hiking, swimming in the large lake that connected to a cascading waterfall, horse riding, training grounds, art room and so much more to fulfill everyone's needs.

Alex had decided to head back home with her brother, but it wasn't for long. A short-lived trip that had turned into a life-long nightmare.

With Ajax back in his old familiar room, and with Alex in hers, he decided to head out to check the old neighborhood. A culdesac in Nova Scotia; Canada. His old friends had long gone from the area without a single letter or text, so he cut all ties with them and paid attention to the only friend he knew and trusted. Duke.

Back at the house, Mrs. Parkingston, the neighbor who lived across the street with her husband and cat, stood in the window after flashing lights of blue and red filled her lounge. She peered past the cream curtains, straining her old eyes to see. An ambulance, along with two police cars had parked outside of the Valis residence.

Ajax remembered he had sprinted towards the house when he saw the paramedics wheeling out a body. The sheets covered in blood. His heart sank. "MOM? ALEX?" he shouted for them, hoping the body had been an intruder who had broken into their home, leaving the asshole to deal with his mother and sister. Inside, he only found Alex being handcuffed with tears running down her face.

"AJ!" she yelled to him as the police took her away.

"No. Let her go... you have this all wrong. My sister isn't a killer. Al, don't say anything. I'll bring you a lawyer."

Snapping back to the present. Alex sighed. "Before we left camp, I had found it sitting in my room. It definitely wasn't mine, or... I don't remember it. It was pretty, so I wore it. I can't remember killing our mother, but the memory of everything came back to me in small doses after the bracelet was removed from me. They wanted it for evidence as it was covered in blood." She took it out of her pocket and placed it gently into her brother's hand. This time there was no traces of blood.

he studied it carefully. "So it was cursed?"

Alex nodded. "Must have been. Maybe we can ask Evelyn or Daniel and see if they can find any traces of magic left on it?"

He nodded. "Good idea, but first, I need to call a meeting. Finish your food while I go and announce it." He leaned over the table, and kissed the top of her head before he headed outside and towards the staff's cabin.

The speakers came to life in no time. "All camp members, new and old... please head to the hall for a meeting." With that short announcement, Ajax headed back to the hall to Alex, and waited for the arrival of the others.

"Is it a just a stereotype, then, that Eris children are all manipulative?" Sloane chuckled at Ji-hyun's comment, quickly bringing the soda to her lips. She wouldn't say she was manipulative, but that she is manipulated by her brother to do so. She never met any other children of Eris, but she could only assume that most of them fit the bill.

After she mentioned her own stance on her parentage and what came with it, Ji-hyun seemed interested, even leaning forward in his seat. "What can you guys do? I assume children of discord are able to influence emotions, but I'm not too sure of your other abilities."

"Yeah, we can manipulate emotions... It tends to work with existing emotions, just kind of twisting them or heightening them rather than drawing from something new or characteristic. I guess that would also depend on someone's subtly, or lack thereof." Sloane leaned back in her seat, her brows furrowing while her fingertip traced the brim of the can. She had never been asked to list what she is capable of. It all felt so fluid, a small part in a bigger machine. "I can also cause chaos... like make people violent or angry, kinda like an aura type thing. But the thing I'm best at is hallucinations... Like manipulating perceived reality."

Sloane parted her lips to say something else when thunder rumbled overhead. It was so loud it made her jump slightly where she sat, looking to the window, surprised at how dark it had gotten in the short time she was in Ji-hyun's cabin.

"Ah, those two, on the other hand... they could be good at what they did if they wanted to, but with all the storms they're bringing to camp it's a wonder the ecosystem isn't entirely ruined by unnecessary amounts of rain." Sloane looked back to Ji-hyun, smiling slightly at his comment. "Total waste of energy if you ask me." Her eyes widened as she nodded her head silently in agreement. It took her a long time to learn how to fully control her abilities. It took patience and practice... And she didn't think the Zeus duo knew that, or cared.

"But nevermind them. You were saying?"

Before she could attempt to say anything further, a voice echoed over a P.A. system that must have been setup throughout the camp. "All camp members, new and old... please head to the hall for a meeting."

Sloane didn't know the voice, but whose voice did she know beyond her brother's and Ji-Hyun's? She sighed, finishing the last bit of the drink she was offered before moving to her feet. "I guess that means us too?" It was more of a rhetorical question. Sloane would have much preferred hiding out in that cabin all day avoiding meetings, other campers and her brother, but it didn't look like that was an option. "Are you coming?" She asked looking back toward Ji-Hyun as she stepped toward the door.

It wasn't long before they found their way to the main hall. A handful of campers had already arrived, faces she might have seen in passing but Sloane couldn't put a name to a face. Instead of trying to make idle chat with people she didn't care to know, she found her way to an empty table and took a seat. Hopefully, whatever this meeting was, wouldn't be long. She highly doubted it involved her.

The young blonde seemed apprehensive at first, hesitant to approach him or maybe not knowing what to make of Wes. But he didn't move instead just deciding to remain where he was. There really wasn't much else he could do. After a moment she slowly approached him and sat down in the grass beside him. She then pulled out a notepad and proceeded to write.

Wes's brows furrowed as he watched her, before the girl turned the pad around and showed him what she wrote. "My name is Iliana and my mother is Demeter. I can't talk. I've met your mother years ago. She was nice."

He had to fight the urge to laugh at the comment. Iliana seemed genuine in her remark. Wes's own relationship was nothing so simple. But it'd make sense for someone like Aphrodite to have a natural compassion about her in regards to others. He nodded his head and gave him best smile. "I'm sure she was."

Wes didn't know if he was thankful or annoyed at the sound of Ajax's voice echoing throughout the camp. On the one hand, he didn't have to dive into his relationship with his mother... If it could even be called that. But, he also wasn't in the mood to leave Frank or trudge his way back toward the main part of camp. Either way, it didn't seem like he had a choice.

With a sigh, Wes slowly lifted Frank from his lap, giving him a final pet. "Alright buddy, my cabin is down that way," he said pointing in the general direction of his cabin. "If you ever need some carrots, come on by." He stood up slowly and motioned his head toward the center of camp. "We've been summoned," he chuckled.

They were nearly to the hall when Wes heard footsteps approaching from behind. He glanced over his shoulder in time to see Duke approaching. "Wesley, did Alex give you your arm?"

Wes glanced down at the place where his right arm used to be, confused. "Wouldn't it be like... decomposing by now?" The thought of his previous arm and the state it would be in made his face scrunch slightly in disgust. But after a minute, he connected the dots and his eyes widened. "Ooooh. Yeah, no. I haven't seen Alex since Capture the Flag."

He looked toward the hall as Duke and Iliana acquainted themselves. Wes cleared his throat and nodded his head in the direction of the hall. "I'll see you all inside." He slowly entered the hall and scanned the room for either an empty seat or a table to join. When he saw a tuft of familiar blonde hair, a small smile grew upon his lips and he took a step toward her. But then he froze, able to feel the anger and animosity coming off of Trinity even at that distance.

Part of him thought he should leave her be and that whatever was bothering her, she could come to him if she needed him. But Wes never liked seeing her upset, so he slowly made his way over to her table. "Hey," he said softly as he placed his hand on her shoulder, taking a seat beside her. "Is everything ok?" His gaze scanned her face for an answer while he gently rubbed her arm with his thumb.

The unfamiliar blonde parted herself from Mason and trotted her way toward Sylas like she didn't have a care in the world. “He’s all yours. But be warned he’s a sloppy kisser.”

He couldn't help but chuckle, raising his brows in amusement. "Well, I wasn't planning on making an honest man out of him." Sylas pushed off the tree after the blonde left, looking toward Mason as he approached.

"At least I got a kiss out of it." Fair point. Who didn't enjoy locking lips every once and awhile. "If I was her, I would have held that card a little longer. She would have had so much potential. But now...tut...such a waste."

"Some people are narrow minded... Lack vision." He shrugged his shoulders. "I do believe I must have met a brother of hers. Interesting. Seems they may do my work for me... Take the fall for it too." He smirked slightly. "Even better."

"So what about you Sylas? What have you been up to?" Mason asked. But before Sylas could answer the inquiry, an announced rang overhead. Was that really his ploy? Neither himself nor the other guy wanted to listen to Captain Camp, so now he calls a meeting of the entire camp. What a pussy. "I suppose we're all heading to the hall then."

Sylas couldn't help but roll his eyes. Not at Mason, but the situation. "I was making good on my word, he started as he walked alongside Mason, heading toward the hall. "It's seems Alex is inches from going over the edge. It was almost too easy sending her into a fit. Almost took the fun out of it."

When they reached the hall, Sylas lingered for a moment, adding one final statement before they parted ways. "I should probably warn you, that in persuading her toward instability," he said with a hushed tone so only Mason could hear. "I had to implicate a certain favorite of yours." Sylas then gave Mason a reassuring pat on the shoulder as he walked past him. "But she seems tough. I'm sure she'll be fine."

With nothing more to add, Sylas entered the hall, his eyes quickly setting upon his sister sitting at a table with the boy he saw her with early. Sylas was never the subtle type, nor did he care about making shitty first impressions with people he didn't care about befriending. "Sloane... What are you doing?"

Sloane visibly tensed at the presence of her brother at the table. In that moment she wished Ji-hyun wasn't there and he didn't have to see this. Or that her brother didn't set his sights on him. "This is Ji-hyun."

"I didn't ask who you were doing. I asked what are you doing?" Sylas's gaze shifted over to the unwelcome male sitting with his sister. "Why are you wasting your time here? She's just playing you like she does everyone else. She's just using you. Sloane doesn't make friends with worthless no bodies."

"Sylas, stop." She was visually uncomfortable, no longer able to meet Ji-hyun's gaze or her brother's.

"Or what?"

"Trinity's an Ares, right? I'd love to train with you guys, if you'll have me."

"Yeah, of course." Andy smiled. "I mean, you'll learn a lot more from her. But, you're always welcome. And we operate under a no drama umbrella." She laughed softly. There was so much drama already at camp, that, at least, during training, they could not think about it.

Andy propped herself up on her elbows, looking over at Emery as she spoke. "My grandma, yeah, she pretty much raised me. She was the toughest old lady I ever knew, and she wanted me to be perfect so she tried to lead by example." And then there was silence. "I miss her."

"I miss my brother," Andy admitted. She knew Emery might not know the whole story, not like the others at camp. Someday, she would have to tell her. Maybe that was something else they could share? A sympathy of loss. But right now wasn't the time. She didn't even know if she would be capable of getting through that conversation at the moment, with the news she just learned. How would Andy explain that? Her brother died in a war and now is back, but isn't, but she doesn't really know because she hasn't set eyes on him? That was too much to lay on someone all at once.

Then with the incoming storm came a whole other boat of drama. It seemed Andy just lived in the middle of it no matter how much she wished she didn't. "Set who off?" She didn't have to answer the question, Emery pieced it together fast enough. "I take it you're not the biggest fan of the Zeus children? Or... just Alex?"

Andy laughed weakly. "She uh... Killed my best friend's sister. I was the first one to arrive after it happened... I buried her." She sat up right, shrugging her shoulders. "That changes your opinion of a person."

Then as if right on cue, Ajax's voice alerted all the campers to head to the main hall. Andy couldn't help but sigh. She was enjoying this... A moment away from all the drama, with someone who didn't sit there and tell her that her best friend was a piece of shit or her boyfriend was a piece of shit. Just a kind face to talk to and forget. Andy moved to her feet and offered Emery a hand. They took their time walking there, or maybe it was just her. Andy wasn't particularly in a rush to get back into a crowd of people who were ready to rip each other’s faces off.

She followed behind Emery as they walked into the hall, catching sight of Theo who seemed to be looking out for her. "I think someone is looking for you." Andy smiled, nodding her head toward him. "I'll catch up with you later." She gently patted Emery's arm before she moved her way through the room. Andy saw Trinity and Wes, glimpses of Alex and Ajax, who she was in no particular rush to go and talk to. It didn't take her long to find Mason, talking to someone she couldn't make out by the back of their head.

Andy weaved her way through the people until she reached him, gently hooking her hand in the bend in Mason's arm. "Hey," she said softly to get his attention. "I'm sorry about leaving. I needed air and—" She stopped mid-sentence when she saw Mason's company. The sight took the breath from her, leaving Andy standing their in a dumbfounded silence. It looked just like him, short brown hair, height... face, but the expression was mischievous and his eyes were different.

She didn't know what to do or to say. Her grip tightened on Mason's arm like a life line as she looked this Keith dead in the eyes, trying not to be hysterical and shake the true Daniel back into him. What was she supposed to say? It didn't matter when she couldn't bring herself to speak. "I... uh... Do you know who I am?"

AJAX VALIS
SON OF ZEUS
Hex: Green |

On the outside, Ajax looked confident, but as he watched everyone enter the main hall, he felt his confidence flicker like a breeze against newly lit flame. He had never grasped the horns of leadership, not properly, but he was doing his best, or so he told himself most nights. So many wrong choices, but even leaders can't always be right. He still blamed himself for the lives that had been prematurely snuffed out last year, even though he knows it's impossible to save everyone. Not even Gods have that power.

Fate is fate.

At camp his efforts had never once been for his father, they had been for the camp. Even if some of them hated him enough to want him dead alongside his sister - a gentle soul that had been touched almost by death, and darkness that wanted to consume her. She hardly had any fight left, and all of that was also his fault for not being a better brother.

He had left her thinking she could handle it on her own as she was strong, but the death of their mother had broken her spirits. No-one on camp had the right to dig their heels into someone suffering mentally. Especially when they didn't know the origin of their entire story, and why Hades was so determined to see the great fall of Olympic Gods.

With Alex not far from him, she sat at the table he had left to make the speech he was dreading. He had no idea what everyone would think about him or his choice of words, but they needed to be aired.

He now stood at the front of the room and paced gently as everyone took their place. The large doors shut, and all eyes were on him, waiting patiently to hear what he had to say.

Image "Earlier on today someone deliberately pushed her" he glanced to his sister, catching sight of Pete sitting across from her, but turned back to the room. Alex could handle herself, but just encase Pete did try anything, Duke was within decent proximity from him to react quicker than Ajax. "Have you forgotten she's my sister? she's unwell, and some of you find it funny to pick at her like she's less than you? she's not a bad person, and if I hear anyone bringing up the topic that got us in this mess in the first place, just one word, then there will be trouble. I couldn't care less if you don't like taking orders.. you will, or you can just leave the camp right now. If you think you'll survive on your own? then leave."

ALEXANDRIA VALIS
DAUGHTER OF ZEUS
Hex: #d63b71|

Image When the boy from earlier came and sat across from her, she couldn't believe he actually had the nerve to after what he said to her brother, and the way him and Sylas began to creep into her head to unhinge her more than she was already. What? so now he wanted to chit-chat and be friends? was this another little plan of theirs? was Pete working with sylas and Mason?

Even though she had no clue what this guy's intentions were, and that her trust meter was shot to hell, she still felt he wasn't as bad as the other two.

She understood why Mason hated her and wanted her dead, but what was the issue with Sylas? possibly got the wrong information, put 2 + 2 together and got 6. Or maybe he just loved to toy with others like a cat who eventually gets its cream. Would make sense considering the Godly parent he spawned from.

"Give me one good reason why I should even talk to you?" she asked Pete. , and while waiting for his reply, her attention briefly found Duke who leaned his perfectly muscled frame against the wall. Something in the room had caught his attention. "Aja..." he trailed off. Ajax hadn't heard him, and Duke decided against what he wanted to say anyway and left it at that.

Alex wanted to smile even now. Duke always had their back no matter how many rumors rooted themselves across the camp. He was never disloyal.

"Hey," Wes sat next to her, placing a hand on her shoulder and her blood boiled. She wished she could sear it with a touch. "Is everything ok?" He even rubbed her arm and acted attentive to her.

She sighed deeply suppressing the urge to lunge on him and demand to know why he wasted her time, what his angle was, break his hand, but it had to wait. Time and place. “If you could not talk right now, thanks, I wanna listen to Aj.”

Before there could be any announcement, that same girl -the same fucking girl from before happened to stumble between Wes and herself. Trinity shot up to her feet like it was coffee being spilled on her. “You imbecile!” she snarled and retracted her arm when she grazed it as if she had the plague. She was half an imbecile for dropping her crisps, but mainly she was one because she didn't heed a very clear warning. And bending over near Wes; she could go direct to hell.

“I- I’m sorry! I didn’t- I mean, I’m not- like,” she was a stumbling mess but Trinity didn't give a damn. With a last look at her, the girl fled. Trinity went to grab a fistful of her hair and slam it down on the table but pulled herself short. She clenched her fists tightly, digging her nails into her palms instead. She paced for a few seconds in no condition to sit and listen to some speech.

Fine, it was coming out now then. Trinity turned to Wes and sat back down mechanically...reluctantly. “I hear you got yourself a date tonight. And it's not me.” She beat him to any stupid remarks regarding their date that was planned at some stage in life. “I'm sorry I give a shit about my friend and aren't some obedient, affectionate barbie doll but if you wanted to jump ships, all you had to do was say.” She did her best to keep her tone even.

When most the hall seemed settled, Ajax spoke. "Earlier on today someone deliberately pushed her. Have you forgotten she's my sister? she's unwell, and some of you find it funny to pick at her like she's less than you? she's not a bad person, and if I hear anyone bringing up the topic that got us in this mess in the first place, just one word, then there will be trouble. I couldn't care less if you don't like taking orders.. you will, or you can just leave the camp right now. If you think you'll survive on your own? then leave."

Some of us wouldn't be able to survive alone. Good. I dare you to leave the hall. Trinity waited for the opportunity to pounce but she knew they'd stick in a pack. But Ajax...Ajax had got his mean harsh helmet on which she kind of admired. If that topic was Jennova and Alex though well...Trinity hadn't even got to voice her opinion on it yet. Too bad they'd never hear it then by Ajax's law. Before he could continue to expand his speech, they were interrupted. By the Gods. Zeus and Ares entered the hall. It reminded her of the first time she saw Zeus and hid in front of Wes and he chose Theo for a quest.

Trinity looked to Theo and smirked knowingly. Imagine sending him on another one. But Zeus announced a trial was in order for Alex and they were all to spectate it. Trinity gave it a while for people to get any questions out then after substantial time, she spoke. “Can we go, now?” It was best for her to zip out of the hall before Wes could say or do something that could get himself hurt. She wasn't really in the mood to listen either.

Once she got the all clear, she was the first out of there. Somehow she doubted a change of scenery would improve her mood, then they'd go straight back to their cabins from Mount Olympus and that wouldn't be good either.

She couldn't help but observe the mini commotion around Keith. Suddenly she wished she had sat with him in order to access the conversation and interfere promptly. While he had managed the last year by himself, everybody had a breaking point. She didn't wish for him to reach it. Evelyn began a quick debate, weighing the pros and cons.

A few tables away there was a disturbing bang and Trinity was up on her feet, ready to turn the hall into her own brawling arena with a flustered girl before her. She even went to lunge for the girl but something or someone stopped her. Evelyn directed her gaze forward again, her mind becoming swarmed with different questions and concerns for the toxicity in camp. Further along, she even sighted Sylas imposing himself over Sloane and Ji-hyun. Get him, girl.

Somebody appeared in her peripheral and sat with her. She widened her eyes a little surprised and the concerns vanished. “Hi, I’m Eve.” The recent stranger said. Evelyn calculated the girl head to toe. Surely she didn't expect protection from the wrath of Ares with her. “I’m kind of new here, any idea what meetings like this are usually about?”

Considering she was relatively new herself, nor had there been many meetings in Evelyn's time, she could only offer ideas. “Umm…something relatively important? An announcement they only want to say once or something that concerns us all? Disharmony?” Once she said it, it was like a light-bulb moment. That's what it was about Eve. Chaos, disorder, black.

“Crisps?”

Her eyes fell on the packet offered towards her. “No, thank you. I don't like taking food from people, particularly ones I just met.” She smiled like it was a joke. Fairly quickly, Evelyn elected to change tunes. Charades wasn't a game she cared much for. “You're a formidable actress and you have a nice name. Mine's Evelyn. Are you looking for an ally?” She arched a brow awaiting the honest answer even if it was a bit much to expect.

Ajax began his speech then concerning Alex and challenged those to go on their lonesome who wouldn't listen to reason and authority. Who liked to tamper with others. Evelyn's eyes automatically drifted to Eve.

Then there were two loud thuds on the roof. She looked up, worry tightening in her chest expecting something to break through and start some massacre. The source came through the door though; calm and as authoritative as ever. There was an air of power about this man and her suspicions were confirmed when he approached Ajax. Zeus. Evelyn squirmed in her chair, suddenly become self-conscious and straightening out her clothes. Not that she was looking to be his wife or anything but it was Zeus so she could at least appear well-presented. Not to mention there was another God by his side.

"Starting from tonight, you will all make your way towards the beach where Ares and Athena will be waiting for all of you. You shall be coming to Mount Olympus for Alex's trial, and I will not tolerate bad behavior while you're there. Know you are in my domain. You may wander around the grounds, but know that this is not a vacation. I will allow you to speak to your parents if you wish. I have chosen the arena beneath the Acropolis. The rest of you will sit around the Arena, spectating." Her gaze shifted to Alex, seeing how she'd behave. The girl under the spotlight. Did she expect a trial or was this news to her too? "If you have any questions? Ask now."

“I was wondering why you've selected us all to spectate this trial, what purpose would we serve?” Evelyn belonged in such an environment but why jeopardize Mount Olympus's state with demigods that didn't have control or couldn't be trusted? She could justify an answer or two herself: they were her peers and in order to resolve future disputes they would witness the one trial and verdict together, but to hear Zeus's mind was a rare opportunity.

Once answered and the air was clear, Evelyn looked to Eve again. “At least you might get more than crisps in Mount Olympus. Hopefully it will keep you satisfied.” She smiled.

Image The stare off continued and Mason was really looking at him like something foreign. Thankfully, he was joined by another that distracted him for a second or two. Keith took the time to breathe out and when his eyes lifted again, he met Andy's, staring at him the same way Mason had.

"I... uh... Do you know who I am?"

What kind of question was that? "Yes? You're Andromeda. You're a direct descendant of Hecate, as am I. Do you know who I am?" he asked back. If she was going to be that forgetful regarding a half sibling then she needed help. He tried not to take it personally but it was beyond insulting. Unless the son of Hades put her up to it and they were ganging up on him for some practical prank. He was sick of being the laughing stock and while Andy and him might not have been that close, he expected better.

"Now I would appreciate it if you two stopped towering over me and either sat down or moved somewhere else. Please." He wasn’t one to make demands. A man of his stature had to request.

The son of Zeus began to talk summoning his attention to the front, however, he was still aware of Mason and Andy's whereabouts. He tried his best to ignore them and focus on what was being said. Sounded like Alex had ran into more trouble or rather people were taking advantage of her troubled state. Keith cast a shy look around the room for those wrong doers trying to catch who to avoid and nervously rested on Mason. Alex killed his sister and he felt for the guy somewhat, not that Keith could ever express sympathy to Mason. But Alex's conscience already haunted her and to torment her on top of that was excessive. Suddenly there were thuds that nearly shook the whole hall.

Keith saw himself standing on a cliff by Mason over a dug up hole then suddenly he was alone outside with the ground trembling beneath his feet rhythmically while trees toppled over in the distance. Then he was back in the hall, back in reality. Keith blew out his lips and blinked a couple times.

The rest of you will sit around the Arena, spectating. If you have any questions? Ask now."

"Mr. Zeus, eerr Sir...I mean, Zeus.." Keith didn't know how to address him. "While I'm privileged to be invited to the trial," crap, that sounded bad. Keith cringed internally expecting a death glare from the Zeus children. "do we have to go?" Keith didn't mean that in a 'I have better things to do' way, but he didn't want to see any brutal punishment come forth. "I guess I mean to ask what...what the outcomes will vary to," he muttered. "And how long we will be there for."

"I do believe I must have met a brother of hers. Interesting. Seems they may do my work for me... Take the fall for it too. Even better."

Mason smirked too.

"I was making good on my word, It's seems Alex is inches from going over the edge. It was almost too easy sending her into a fit. Almost took the fun out of it. I should probably warn you, that in persuading her toward instability, I had to implicate a certain favorite of yours. But she seems tough. I'm sure she'll be fine." Then the diabolical session met it's end. Distractions and priorities and all.

Mason hoped it was a joke. A dedicated performance on Daniel's end, even if it lacked humor. As Mason tried and struggled to comprehend what was in front of him somebody grabbed his arm. "Hey," he jumped a little in start. "I'm sorry about leaving. I needed air and—" Mason tried to lead Andy away quickly as she spoke, having a sudden interest in a table but it was too late. Andy had spotted him. The way her expression changed said a million things and Mason's heart sunk for her.

"I... uh... Do you know who I am?"

Image"Andy, let's go, come on," Mason whispered. The answer might not have been pleasant to hear and she didn't need to put herself through more heartache. He tried to pull her away but he knew the girl wouldn't budge unless she wanted to. Daniel answered and Mason turned to him again then tightened his hold on Andy. He didn't want her to leap on him in excitement and hug him or burst into tears and storm off. He didn't want to be anywhere near a scene. Besides, Ajax would hone into it like a hawk if it was Andy related and suddenly it'd become everybody's business.

Personally, this dweeb version of Daniel was a sore sight. Mason fell into a chair on his table right as Ajax began speaking and stared at Daniel. "He's not soulless," he mumbled. He wasn't really sorry if Andy wanted to hear Ajax's speech fully or not. To him at least, Daniel was more important than the Valises. Meanwhile the four eyed Daniel tried his best to concentrate ahead.

Zeus and Ares gatecrashed and Mason watched the Gods head to the front. Hades didn't storm the camp when he felt like but it would be a very different nature if he did. Mason pressed his tongue to his cheek as he said Alex was sent to trial then asked for questions. Mason sat quiet for a moment as Daniel and others got their questions out. Mason didn't want to prolong the process but his own question had to come out. He stood up so Zeus and everyone could see and hear him clearly. "Yeah, I have one. Is Hades going to be there?" Mason locked eyes with the Zeus cluster at the front. "Since it was his daughter that got murdered, don't you think he has a say or at least the right to witness her trial? It seems fair to me."

He wasn't sorry so he couldn't say that as he sat back down beside Andy. "Do you think Hecate will be there?" he asked her. "She might be able to help with our other issue." Mason pointed to Daniel. It was a genuine issue, but he felt dirty for insinuating the God of the Underworld's invite in front of Andy, who he tortured. He actually kind of felt dirty she even held his arm not long after he smacked lips with Evangeline.

"Andy, let's go, come on," Mason whispered as he gently tried to guide her away, but she didn't move. Andy wanted to hear his response. She was thankful he didn't leave her or fight her hold on his arm while her eyes scanned her brother. "Yes? You're Andromeda. You're a direct descendant of Hecate, as am I. Do you know who I am?"

A weak, exasperated laugh escaped her lips which her gaze fell to her feet. How was she supposed to answer? Yes, you're Daniel. Not anymore. Who are you really? But instead Andy stood there in silence just staring at him. "Now I would appreciate it if you two stopped towering over me and either sat down or moved somewhere else. Please."

It stung. She couldn't even bring herself to look at him. Mason's hold on her arm tightened slightly and Andy didn't fight him as he lead her away and to a table. She lowered herself into a chair beside him just as Ajax began his speech, her eye focused blankly on the flat surface before her. "He's not soulless," Mason said quiet enough for her to hear, catching her attention rather than listening to Ajax defend Alex for the thousandth time that year.

Andy slowly looked over at him. "He called me Andromeda," she whispered, saying her full name almost like it was a poison. No one called her by her full name, not Mason or Ajax or her father, especially not Daniel. The only person who did was... her mother. The thought sent a chill down her spine. And almost as if the Gods themselves walked over her grave, two slammed into the roof of the great hall before making a grand entrance through the doors. Why not just bust through the roof? They were beyond subtlety.

It wasn't the first time she was in the presence of a God, but the few times she had been never ended well. Andy stiffened in her seat, her gaze glued to the pair as they moved before everyone, her hands ringing and white-knuckled in her lap. The rest of you will sit around the Arena, spectating." Her brows furrowed slightly. The last time she was in a God's domain she nearly died. The thought of being in Zeus's hands didn't sit well with her. "If you have any questions? Ask now."

The first to question the God was Trinity who quickly answered her own query and left. Andy had half of a mind to run after her but Trin was much like herself, and needed time away from everyone to cool down. Then Evelyn spoke up. “I was wondering why you've selected us all to spectate this trial, what purpose would we serve?” Andy found herself wondering the same question. Unless, the demigods made up a fraction of the jury alongside the other Gods. Or was it simply a spectacle as a warning to the other demigods? But if that were the case, why in the hell would Zeus subject his own daughter to potential humiliation?

Andy couldn't help her heart as it skipped a beat when Daniel or Keith spoke up. She stopped herself halfway in the middle of turning around so that she didn't have to look at him, not now. Then Mason stood and Andy instinctively grabbed his wrist nearly standing with him. "Mason," she whispered. Andy couldn't help her protectiveness especially now. It was one thing when he was pissing off the Valises, but Gods were completely different. They could smite him from the world in a snap and the Gods hated no one more than Hades.

"Yeah, I have one. Is Hades going to be there? Since it was his daughter that got murdered, don't you think he has a say or at least the right to witness her trial? It seems fair to me." Andy's gazed drifted from Mason to the Gods before them as he sat back down beside her. If all of them were there, the father of the deceased should be too. She honestly couldn't believe that she felt... sympathetic for the God. But a parent should never have to bury a child and he deserved the right to be part of the trial, regardless of her own personal feelings toward the God.

It only seemed fitting that when the serious questions were out of the way, a less serious one would arise. Sylas stood to his feet and even bowed slightly. Was that supposed to be an insult or an act of respect? "Sir, are we to dress for the occasion? It might seem a strange question, but if we are to be in the presence of the Gods, walking through the streets of Olympus... I do not wish to offend yourself, nor my mother, by not presenting myself appropriately." Serious then? Odd question, but she supposed it was a somewhat relevant one.

"Do you think Hecate will be there?" Mason asked Andy, turning her attention back to her present company. Her mother's named twisted her stomach, but she couldn't deny that she also wondered that. "She might be able to help with our other issue."

Andy didn't have to look in the direction he pointed to know what he was referring to. "I don't know, but I hope so." She spared a quick glance over her shoulder toward Daniel. "I fear this is her doing. She was the last person to see him before he died." Her brows furrowed as she looked back at Mason. "Will you help me get him to her?"

Then there was a long silence as campers began to exit and prepare for the journey. Andy leaned a little closer to Mason, speaking soft enough for only him to hear. "I will testify, if I am called upon... For Jennova and for you."

When Wes sat beside Trinity, his touch didn't seem to sooth her but make her tense. His jaw clenched as he quickly withdrew his hand, but couldn't keep himself from looking at her. Unfortunately for him, control over emotions doesn't allow him to know the cause of the emotions. So, although he knew she was angry, he couldn't begin to decipher the cause. “If you could not talk right now, thanks, I wanna listen to Aj.”

Wes inhaled sharply, giving a short nod of his head before looking forward. "As you wish."

There was silence for a brief moment before a girl passing behind them dropped a bag of chips. Then before he knew it Trinity was on her feet. “You imbecile!”

Wes was quick to his feet after her, holding out his hand like someone approaching a wild animal. "Woah, she just dropped some chips." The blonde girl had scurried off before he could try to apologize for Trinity's outburst. He didn't know what was wrong, but she was clearly on edge and no doubt making large enough of a scene for half of the hall to be staring at her.

Trinity paced back and forth, blustering like a storm about to rain hell. “I hear you got yourself a date tonight. And it's not me.” Wes's hand dropped slightly as his head cocked. What in the hell was she talking about? He didn't get a chance to reply. Trinity quickly followed up her comment, being sure to cut him off before he could even attempt to get to the root of what she was talking about. “I'm sorry I give a shit about my friend and aren't some obedient, affectionate barbie doll but if you wanted to jump ships, all you had to do was say.”

Wes's jaw dropped as he stood there in a stunned silence. So, much said in the span of one sentence. What friend was she talking about? Was he just a friend in her eyes? At this point... After so long, he thought they were beyond that. But she spoke as if her friendship with another made him change his mind? What in the hell was going on!? Wes could feel the blood racing to his head as his heart started beating faster and faster in his chest.

He stood there, like a deer in headlights as Ajax began his pointless speech. Which, at the moment, Wes couldn't care less about. Even the arrival of Gods didn't seem to shake Wes quite like the words Trinity just said to him. He was just... silent, as it boiled inside him.

“Can we go, now?” Then in a flash Trinity was out of the hall.

Wes stood there, frozen like a statue. Then out of no where, when the anger, frustration and confusion overflowed, his hand gripped the edge of the table. "Son of a bitch!" Maybe it was adrenaline? Or maybe in the year without an arm his other more than compensated. But with hardly any effort, he flipped the table on it's side before turning toward the exit.

Before he could take a step forward, the blonde from before stood before him. “I’m so sorry. I think that might have been my fault.” Tears? Wes might have given a sympathetic apology and a halfhearted smile before snaking around her. But with his attention on her, he could feel it. Beneath the false sadness and nervousness... It was pleasure. Was this all her doing?

If this girl before him wasn't a girl, Wes might have decked her. Instead he stood there, clenching his jaw, digging his nails so hard into his palms he nearly drew blood. "Get the fuck out of my way, he practically growled at the girl before shoving past her and hurrying out the door.

Wes nearly had to run to catch up. "Trinity!" he tried to get her attention before grabbing her arm, forcing her to stop and turn to face him. A dangerous move, putting his hand on an angry Ares daughter, but he didn't care. Wes would take whatever punishment she dealt if it meant she'd listen. "Stop!" He released her arm and took a step toward her while pointing his index finger at. "You are going to listen to me. Then beat the shit out of me, or whatever you want afterwards. But you will listen!" He ordered. That wasn't a request and he made damn well sure she knew it.

"I have no fucking clue what you're talking about. I told you this morning and nearly everyday for the past year that you are the only girl I want. Why is it all of a sudden everything's changed? It's like all of a sudden you're second guessing everything. Like, in your eyes I'm nothing but a piece of shit Aphrodite kid that bounces between women! You know I'm not like that. You know it!" By that point Wes was yelling, probably loud enough for the people back at the hall to hear him. "Everything I've ever done here has been for you! I've spent the past year trying to prove myself to you and be worthy of you!"

Wes took grabbed Trinity's shoulder, not breaking eye contact as he looked down at her. "Trinity! I—" His voice trailed off as all the anger washed from his face in a saddening wave. Was he about to say it? She stood there accusing him of everything he's been proving to her he isn't and he nearly mention love. She didn't deserve to hear it... not now. Now when she made him feel lower than the dirt under her shoe.

"I thought you knew me better than that," Wes's voice cracked as he took a step back. He looked away from her briefly and when he met her gaze again, a tear fell from his eye. "You don't trust me..." Wes nodded his head before wiping away the tear. "Forget it," he concluded as he turned from her and started in the direct of his cabin. "Don't follow me."

Wes didn't look toward any campers he passed, nor segue in any direction but toward his own cabin. He trudged up the steps of his porch and inside, slamming the door shut behind him. Once inside, he clicked the closest end table, sending it and its contents flying across the room. He proceeded the tear apart his room, throwing things from counter tops and over turning furniture until the entire cabin was in disarray. Wes gave a final kick to an overturned chair before he stumbled backwards against a wall. Then slid down it until he was sitting on the ground with his head in his knees.

Ethan and Heath watched as everyone else showed up and saw a few fireworks fly. Iliana however was concentrating only on herself for she felt so many emotions at once. She felt so much anger from the blonde next to Wesley, which only increased when another blonde girl came near them. She closed her eyes and try to shut herself down. She couldn't loose control, not hear at least. The boys saw what was happening and saw what was happening with Wesley and the 2 blondes girls too. This was definitely not good. They didn't have time to do anything about it for Zeus's son spoke up talking about his sister. Seems like they were right about the two guys from earlier being the one to push Alex over the edge. Now the question was, what originally caused her to go close to the edge to begin with.

Before either boys could speak up though, there was a commotion and suddenly two gods showed up. One was definitely Zeus, but the other the guys hadn't seen before. Soon Zeus spoke and his words only made the boys even more confused. Alex was to be on trial? For what exactly? It must be grave if the gods got directly involved. Knowing his mother was here though, Heath decided to ask her directly. If he was to spectate a trial, he wanted all the clear facts and his mother was good at that without any bias. She was the Goddess of Wisdom for a reason after all. Plus he wanted to get Lia out of this building, who was now covering her ears and rocking back and forth. He was 100% sure she hadn't heard a word. It was to his relief when the one angry blonde left the building though. He had definitely heard her words to Wesley, who had looked shocked by them. He cursed and took off after the blonde who left. It wasn't long before they could hear shouting. This only caused Iliana to shake even more.

When Zeus asked for questions, several did ask, but the one that caught Heath and Ethan's attention the most was when someone came forward.

"Yeah, I have one. Is Hades going to be there? Since it was his daughter that got murdered, don't you think he has a say or at least the right to witness her trial? It seems fair to me."

Ethan looked surprised at that. A daughter of Hades was killed? That definitely wasn't good. Heath started connecting the dots though. Alex was going to be on trial and Hades's daughter had been killed. Was Alex the reason? He saw how angry she got in the stall. So who was this guy that just asked the question? Ethan wondered if the guy was a son of Hades. It would make sense since he did ask such a question.

Both boys though forgot about everything else when Iliana suddenly grabbed onto Heath's shirt sleeve. This was a signal that she had to get out now.

"Let's go now," Heath said as he helped Iliana up.

Ethan nodded as they left. When they exited the building, they saw Wesley take off. Iliana could feel every emotion he was feeling and it was seriously making her sick in the stomach. She could feel her own tears spilling out. Her own powers started churning and soon the sky open up, causing rain to fall. She herself dropped to the ground and started wailing in earnest. Heath swept her into his arms and continued to walk with Ethan right next to him.

"Uh, oh, we better do something to cheer Iliana up quick." Ethan commented.

Indeed, the last time Iliana was this emotional, she had caused a flood. Heath knew this was a result of her trying to contain her emotions and powers too much. The rain continued pouring and they and anyone else would be drenched by now.

"I've got it. Hey, Lia, can you hear me? We're going to see your mother soon. Do you want to see her?"

Hearing her mother being mention penetrated Iliana's intense emotions and she looked at her adopted brother. Taking a few deep breaths, she nodded. This causes the rain to let up dramatically, and it's now a drizzle. Iliana was emotionally drained though and she falls asleep. The boys noticed she had dropped her notepad by then.

"I'll go and get it. It's probably ruined by now though," Ethan said before rushing back to the main hall.

Ethan nodded and continued towards the coast. Minutes later, Ethan was back and indeed, Iliana's notepad was drenched. He also had the pen she carried. It was a good thing Iliana had several notepads back in their cabin. Both were certain though they could get another notepad from Demeter.

Image Ajax and Zeus spoke about a common thread whether they liked it or not and that was Alex. Once the meeting was concluded, the dark-haired man speaking to Alex got up and pat Duke on the chest. “Just shag her mate.” Duke stood upright and glanced at Alex. It wasn't a bad idea and for a moment he saw himself tipping over Alex and kissing her passionately and things heating up from there. Duke was inching closer to her without realizing but when he caught himself he stopped. It was an entirely inappropriate comment and thoughts that filled his mind. Duke didn't want to 'just shag her' like it was an ordinarily easy task, he felt differently and no man with shaggy black hair was going to tell him otherwise.

He caught her wide-eyed stare at him. "I think he likes you," he told Alex."So who is the new guy, Al? Friend or foe?" Duke decided to cut the options into two since he didn't want a whole speech about the new guy. A name, heritage and brief thoughts would have sufficed.

Duke sighed gently. Alex was no doubt under a lot of pressure with the trial coming up, but Duke had such tunnel vision when his own concerns were involved, besides, maybe it'd be a nice distraction to talk about other things. "I noticed Wes's arm wasn't delivered. I know you have your separate mountain of issues," he added quickly. "But maybe helping other people, doing a couple good deeds for others will make you feel better and help your case." That way, before they left camp, Alex could have left a fresh and pleasant impression on people. She could just be known as a boisterous girl again which is what she was before the murder tainted her appearance.

Old Alex needed to come back again and soon. Duke could remember the bundle of joy and outrageous extrovert but could the others? Duke believed they would speak against her prosecuting her only as the dull monster. "Your brother and father are stressed, Alex. You can help your own case too."

"When we get out of this, the next party or celebration we have, promise me you'll be the life of it." Duke smiled a little.

Image Keith nodded as Zeus answered all the questions openly and honestly then jumped as someone had slid beside him. "What did a'miss?"

Keith looked at the man he was not familiar with and leaned away from him. He was openly owning the space and Keith wasn't a fan. Another brute to torment him likely, hooray. "Um...the daughter of Zeus," Keith pointed in her direction hoping the temperamental children of Zeus didn't spot it and want to kill him for daring to point and speak about her, "is going on a trial. She, uh, accidentally murdered another demigod." God he felt like an idiot. "Accidentally killed" because that happens all the time. She wasn't freaking Lennie from Mice and Men. "We are going to attend and potentially determine her fate," he added uncertainly. That's what Zeus had said but it was a surreal power to have in his own experience.

Keith got to his feet slowly, almost asking permission from the blonde boy if he was excused. "I have to figure out my own side."

An elbow knocked him in the back, making him collapse on the table. He stayed there for a moment, gripping the table and pressing his forehead to the hard surface, letting no one see the tears and frustration in his eyes. Keith straightened slowly and held his stomach where his arrow wound was. He swallowed a lump in his throat and met the new boy's eyes and nodded with as much dignity as possible. "Nice meeting you."

Keith shuffled off. He needed to compose himself in his cabin for a couple of minutes then would meet his no good peer demigods at the beach. He hated camp, why did he even come back.

After he was done moping and worked on pulling himself together, he exited his cabin with a deep breath and treked to the beach.

Image "I don't know, but I hope so. I fear this is her doing. She was the last person to see him before he died." Andy replied. "Will you help me get him to her?"

Mason looked to Daniel. At the moment, Daniel saw Mason as malicious and untrustworthy, it was evident in the way he acted like a cornered child facing bullies so it might have been a bit difficult. "You mean like put a bag over his head and abduct him?" He smiled though if it helped Daniel become himself and Andy's peace of mind, he would.

As the hall cleared out slowly, Andy leaned towards him. "I will testify, if I am called upon... For Jennova and for you."

He looked at Andy and shifted his body to face her. "I appreciate that and I’ve appreciated everything you’ve done for us. You probably will be called because you were one of the first to...see it and handle it all. But you don't need to testify if you don't want to. Ajax hates it when you speak against Alex, I'm used to the looks that say drop dead but not you." Andy wasn't weak and fragile, nor submissive. But he didn't think she could handle being loathed by her boyfriend. "I just don't want you in another ugly situation. It'd probably be good for you to lay low for a while." Mason didn't know why he bothered saying it since he couldn't remember a time Andy was reserved.

There was another thud noise and Daniel was sprawled on the table. What a pathetic sight and it upset Mason all the more. This weasel version had to go before everybody snuffed him out as completely vulnerable. Mason headed out, in desperate desire to get out and change clothes for the trial. He knew better than to look like a bum when he was trying to appeal his case. He wouldn't let it go without a hell of a fight. And it's not like he even had to make up a story or lie.

Mason wrestled with his tie then finally prevailed and smoothed down his tie in the reflection then shrugged into his jacket. He couldn't help but smirk a little. Alex was in trouble. With the final touches done, Mason waited at the beach.
