D E M E A N O R

h e i g h t x // x6’2”

w e i g h t x // x205 lbs

h a i r x // xLong dirty blonde hair

e y e s x // xGrey blue eyes

o d d i t i e s x // xDespite his tall and intimidating nature, Heath is actually a big teddy bear on the inside, at least when comes to his adopted sister. As a result he’s done some ridiculous stuff to make her happy, like ‘play dress up’ when they were kids.

a p p e a r a n c e x // xTall and lanky, Heath has had to learn how to adapt to the world around him. While he gets his height from his father, he gets the rest of his appearance from Athena. Even though he’s think, he still takes cares of his health and is an excellent runner. Growing up in Scotland, he’s use to wearing comfy clothing. Almost all of his clothing is hand made thanks to his aunts (and his mother of course). He’s extremely picky about what he wears though due to his sensitive skin, which does annoy him.

P O W E R S

Genius Level Intellect x // x Heath has always been a fast learner due to this skill. His best use of this skill is through auditory means because he’s always listening. He also reads a lot.

Superior Lie Detection x // x Due to his superb listening skills, Heath has learned to detect lies better. This is his most used skill now because it helps him plan a course of action.

Others x // x Heath is great at strategy. However, when it comes to battle strategy, he’s still a novice, but wants to get better with this skill due to high expectations of being Athena’s son. Another skill he has but hardly used until recently was intangibility. Due to making a mistake in training once, he grew fearful of this skill, but after what happened to his adopted sister, he’s trying to get of this fear.

P R O F I C I E N C I E S

Honest x // x Heath hates lying and as a result he is always honest whenever he speaks. However he has gotten better at being tactful.

Perceptive x // x Being the observer that he is, he’s learned to take learn all he can about a scenario before making a decision.

Endurance x // x If there was one thing Long distance running has taught him, it’s to survive and persevere. He will never give up. It’s this strength of his that gives him the patience to help out his adopted sister.

W E A K N E S S E S

Stubborn x // x Like any Scottish person, he’s very set in his ways. Even though he likes taking his time making a decision, once he makes it, it’s unlikely he’ll change it.

Protective x // x Heath is very protective of those he cares about. This goes double for his adoptive sister, especially now that she’s clingy towards him due to her recent trauma.

Perfectionist x // x Due to his love for things to be in order, Heath has high standards for himself to get things right all of the time, even to others to some extent if he knows what they are capable of. He’s his own worst critic as a result though.

F E A R S

Losing Loved Ones x // x Due to all the things that happened to his adoptive sister, he’s become fearful of losing those he cherishes. This is why he’s protective.

Failing at his Duties x // x He is scared to let anyone down, especially since he knows his mother is a goddess. Failing her and the other gods terrify him.

Using his Intangibility Power x // x He didn’t start learning how to use this ability until he was a teen with his mother. One day he practiced on his own though and tried something too ambitious and got stuck within the walls of a structure. He would have died if his mother hadn’t found him. He since became too scared to try due to his fear of failure. After learning how instrumental this ability was in saving his adoptive sister though, he’s trying to get over this fear.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
xxxxxxxxxxxxx serious xx highly intelligent xx observent xx stubborn x

Growing up in the Highlands, Heath learned at an early age to grow a backbone. One had to be to handle those harsh winters. Both Athena and his father made sure he could persevere a lot of things, especially his mother. Because of this though he is not an easily approached person and hardly smiles. It doesn’t help that he’s a tall guy too. Growing up knowing he was the son of a goddess, he also place high standards on himself and this was where his perfectionist side came from. However his aunts were concerned he placed too much pressure on himself and wished he learned to have fun in life also.

Heath was very smart, even as a baby. He learned his abc’s by the time he was 2 years old and learned how to read by the age of 3. He learned not to rub in his abilities either and how pride could be a downfall if not careful with it. His high intellect had a double edge sword though because it was hard to talk to people his age and it was why he preferred to interact with people older then him. Only exceptions were his adopted sister and later Ethan, but only because they were demigods like him and could relate to his struggles as one.

While note a curious person, Heath couldn’t help but observe those around them. He would use this to better his own self when it came to judging others. Now if only he could be a little more lenient because of his tenacious attitude, he doesn’t like to be pushed or change his mind.

H I S T O R Y

Athena, being the practical goddess she was, ended up Heath’s father, Iain Taylor, for two major reasons, one- he was a very studious man and two- he came from a family that was into different means of metaphysics, even though he never did any of those practices himself due to have different interests. In fact he was a teacher at the local high school. Iain was definitely caught off guard by Athena, even without knowing her divinity. Being a master strategist she got to know his family first, which was important to him and actually revealed herself to his older sisters first to get their assistance after deciding she wanted Iain to help her have a child since the man had a hard time courting women. All her planning worked and eventually she gave birth to Heath. By then Iain had learned who she was and the entire family swore to secrecy about Heath’s lineage.

Even though Heath learned about his mother at an early age, he would rarely see her throughout his life due to how busy she was, more so then other gods. It became evident how smart he was and was labeled a genius at an early age. He was very thirsty for knowledge and his father ended up hiring private tutors because of his skills advancing beyond the normal school limit. He did prefer this too so he could spend time with his newly adopted sister, Iliana. He was 8 when she moved in and became very protective of her pretty quickly when he learned she had no father and her mother, Demeter, couldn’t raise her on her own due her own duties. She did come over by more often then his own mother though since Iliana’s powers required more attention then his. Her felt envious though due to the fact that the times he did spend with Athena, she would always give him praise for handling his abilities. She did make sure it never went to his head though by telling him stories of prideful humans from her own past. Heath only struggled with his powers when he started to learn how to transport through physical matter. He started learning this when he was a teen. At he had no problems, but wanting to practice more on his own, one day he decided to test himself and tried passing through a bridge. However he had a moment of panic and got stuck. He almost suffocated, but his mother sensed his distress and quickly saved him. It was the one time she scolded him and it was a blow to Heath but he did learn a valuable lesson that day.

Heath did struggle a bit deciding what he wanted to do with his life since he was good at so many things. He was 12 by the time he was ready for college level work and this was when his mother decided to have a more direct hand in his raising. Through her efforts, Heath was able to take online courses in college since he was too uneasy to be in a school environment. Since he loved reading, he decided on a career in the literary field and started writing his own fictional works under an alias with his father helping him since all of his works were self-published. It was during this time he started learning how to ‘walk through walls’ and had his accident. By the time he got a Masters in English, he was 18 and making enough money off of his works to live on his own. He moved out into the country more but still close enough to his hometown of Callander.

It was during this time period when fellow demigod, Ethan Knox moved in with him. Both young men were close in age with only Heath older by 5 months. Heath was a bit quiet around Ethan at first but did slowly warm up to him. This all changed when they got word on what happened to Iliana. Heath himself nearly lost it, but Ethan helped him calm down and they help Iliana get through her trauma. This experience makes the to men even closer and now Heath views Ethan as a brother. He did know about Camp Athens and even though he’s not looking forward to the warmer weather, he does hope the camp will help bring back the ‘old’ Iliana.

Andy was about turn the handle and go back inside when she heard music just about blare behind her. Her face scrunched up slightly at the sheer volume of the party. She never remembered it being that loud. Who in the hell was in control of the volume? Maybe it was her subconscious telling her to just go inside or was it telling her to go to the party?

"It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life. For me. And I'm feeling good."

Andy's heart skipped a beat when she heard Daniel's—Keith's voice. What in the hell was he doing? She slowly spun around on her heels, glancing over her shoulder in the direction of the music. "Keith?"

He did some showy moves, flipping the microphone and kicking in beat with the song. "Oh freedom is mine, and I know how I feel." Andy's brows furrowed in confusion. Maybe it was everything that's been going on but nothing was sinking in. Was this some cruel prank that Keith thought would be funny? Was this Daniel? Had she officially lost her mind and was hallucinating?

"Andy, if you don't go to the party, who's gonna control your brother?" Daniel then extended his arms toward her expectantly.

"Daniel?!" her voice cracked. Andy ran toward him, jumping over the steps down from her porch. She practically leaped into his arms, nearly knocking him over when she collided into him. She held him so tight, that he'd probably complain about not being able to breathe but she didn't care.

"Hi, sis," he said quietly as he held her.

"How are you here? You died!" Tears fell from her eyes, ruining her makeup... again. But she couldn't care less. Gods did she miss him. "I can't believe you're here. I've missed you so much," she whispered.

"Now come on, things to do, people to see. 50 dollars says I can get 90% of camp's population to dance."

Daniel tried to pull her away and hold her at an arm's length. But Andy quickly wrapped her arms back around him, shaking her head. "Just one more minute, please?" She practically begged. Andy had no idea how time passed for him or what it was like. But for her, it was an eternity. Over a year without her brother. He could spare another moment or two before they went to the party. Gods knew she needed it.

Andy sighed as she finally let him free from her grasp, almost scared that if she let go of him, he'd vanish. Like it all was an illusion in her head. "Did you need to complete that outfit with a big long fluffy coat?"

She managed to actually laugh as she ran her fingers under her eyes, trying her best to fix her makeup. "It's not like I'm wearing a sequin jumpsuit," she quipped in response. Gods how long had it been since she had a normal lighthearted conversation? It felt nice. As Andy and Daniel walked side by side to the party, it almost felt like some of the weight had been lifted from her shoulders. For a brief moment she could breathe. But unfortunately, that didn't last long.

Andy's paced slowed when they reached the party as her brother quickly made his way toward Mason. On any other day she would have been right beside him but they still weren't talking. And if she smelled Eve's perfume on him it'd make her nauseous. She stood there awkwardly at the edge of the tree line scanning the people who had arrived. But before she saw anyone of worth a red head popped up right in front of her with a smile. She remembered the girl from earlier, gossiping about Andy's personal life like it was some trash TV. Suffice it to say, she did not return the smile.

"Hey. My name is Penelope, but you can call me Nelly." Andy didn't care. Maybe under different circumstances she would have been her old bubbly self. But not now. It was hard enough for Andy to bite her tongue the first time. "Um . . I am sorry if what I said earlier this morning hurt your feelings. I am known to say what I am thinking and it's gotten me into plenty of trouble. Just know that whatever my actions are in the future, I would never intentionally hurt anyone. So yeah sorry."

"Just leave my personal life out of it," Andy said before she felt an arm drape across her shoulder. Some of her tension faded away when she saw it was Trinity, even managing a soft smile.

"Look who decided to show." Andy rolled her eyes playfully at the comment. Like Trinity would have let her stay locked up in her cabin. "Hey Nelly, I'm Trinity." She gave Nelly a firm handshake, which Andy could only imagine was far more aggressive than it looked. She had to resist the urge to laugh. Trin wasn't the subtle type, one of the many reasons they were friends.

Trinity turned her attention to Andy. "Did you want to get a drink, Ando?" She was doing what any good best friend would do, getting her out of an awkward encounter. In time she'd forget Nelly's comments, but it was still fresh and she was in no mood to fake friendly. Trin's head then leaned toward hers as she spoke lowly, "You good?"

Andy held her friend's gaze and gave such a minor shake of her head, anyone else might have missed it. But it didn't seem Trinity was good either. The arrival of Wes caused the blonde to instantly tense. "I know that look," Andy said quietly.

But before she was able to tug Trinity away toward the drinks table, or just far enough away from a private conversation, Nelly had more to say. "Hello, Trinity. Nice evening huh? I got in last night so that's why I am late. I am still learning the ropes here so if you have any recommendations, I'll gladly take them. Is this ya'll's first year here or have both of you been here before?"

Andy's arm wrapped around the middle of Trinity's back, her hand gently grasping her friend's side. "Sorry, not to be rude." Although she kind of did. "But we need a moment in private."

Without anything else to add to the present conversation, she led Trin away, slowly walking them toward the drinks. Which, coincidentally, was where Wes was. "Do you think maybe you're being a little hard on him?" Andy asked, nodding her head toward Wes who's back was toward them. "He never questions you about your male friends." She saw the look Trinity made when she saw him with Alex. She understood her jealously, it was natural. But Wes had better tastes than Alex. "I doubt he has a dishonest bone in his body. He's arguably one of the nicest guys at camp. He's crazy about you... And he makes you happy." With her final words, Andy slowed them both to a stop, turning to face Trinity.

"Don't be dumb like me and ruin a good thing." She gave Trin's arm a reassuring squeeze with a smile. "I'm going to go take a shot... or like five," Andy joked. "But you should go talk to him. 5 bucks says, he's already forgiven you." Not that Trinity was in the wrong, she was entitled to her own feelings. But if she tried to apologize, Wes was already over it. He was too infatuated with her to stay mad.

Andy retreated, walking backwards towards the refreshments. She motioned her thumb toward Wes's back and gave Trinity a wink. She then spun around and went to the far end of the drinks table, giving Wes and, in particular, Alex, a wide birth. Have a good time. Don't think about it and don't get too drunk. Easy. Then it seemed the second that all went through her head, it went out the window. Andy took two shots of whatever was out, then grabbed a bear. No more.

She started toward the bonfire and almost froze when she saw the back of Ajax. Andy took a deep breath, not wanting to divert her path. She felt like that would be obvious and someone would notice, someone like Mason. But he wasn't dumb and probably could tell without anything being said. Andy slowly approached and took a seat on a different log than the one he and Duke sat on that was a couple feet away. After taking a couple sips of her beer, she sparred a glance toward Ajax as he stood up to follow after his friend. When she caught his gaze, Andy gave him a slight wave of her fingers and a brief smile before he left. It was weird. They were so close but felt miles apart. Any other party she'd be right there beside him, maybe even sitting in his lap if he had his way. But, now they were like strangers.

Evelyn did not seem pleased about Sylas asking her for a favor. And here he thought she'd love the opportunity to have the upper hand, a moment to revel in the fact that he came to her for help. Regardless of how minor his ask was. After a moment she took the bottle. "I would but you didn't even say please." Her smug expression made Sylas chuckle. "In fact, you should be begging me for this small little favor of yours. Or at least make your case of why I should help you," she added as she hid the bottle behind her back.

Sylas took the bait stepping forward to close a little bit of the distance between them. "Please, Evelyn, would you satisfy the demon in me by charming that little bottle?" His brow raised while the rest of his face remained fairly serious. He leaned his head in so that his lips were near her ear as he spoke softly. "I'll make a fair trade for your services." Sylas pulled his head back just enough so he could hold her gaze. "I'll give you one question," he said as he held up his index finger. "Any question and I'll answer it, honestly. No lies, omissions or ambiguity."

After a moment or so, Evelyn withdrew the bottle from behind her back and held it out to him. "Our little secret."

"My lips are sealed," he grinned as he took the bottle from her delicate fingers.

"Don't get too excited. Really wanting somebody varies on intention." Sylas nodded his head and gave her a silent salute with the top of the bottle to his forehead. "I look forward to seeing who you're after. Good luck."

Sylas might have added a comment about how he didn't need luck, or something else around those lines. Instead he gave her a wink and headed toward the bonfire where he planned to announce his fun activity. But then he saw the big idiot arrive with none other than his sister, which temporarily diverted his attention.

The fresh air from their walk to the beach cleared Sloane's head. Being lightheaded and dizzy was not an ideal condition while drinking. Not that she was the drinking type. She stopped just outside the tree line, taking everything in. Nothing too crazy was going on yet, some dancing and drinking, but fairly calm. Maybe she'd be lucky enough to wonder about for an hour then disappear back to Liam's cabin, away from everyone. She was about to take a step forward in the general direction of the bonfire when she caught sight of her brother beelining straight for them. "He's coming this way," Sloane said under her breath toward Liam, but didn't divert her eyes from her brother's fiery and direct gaze.

Before Sloane could even try to grab Liam's arm and divert them in a different direction, Sylas was there. "Sloane. Liam." He gave his best fake smile as he grabbed Liam's shoulder. "How's the new roomie situation going?" he asked with a grin and a tight squeeze of the brute's deltoid. While they were still in physical contact, Sylas let his powers flow into Liam. Kick her out. You don't want Sloane. She's a burden. Pathetic. After a moment when nothing happened, he moved his hand from Liam to point at his sister. "You used your powers on him... didn't you?"

Sloane shifted where she stood, her fingers twiddling and tugging at the sleeves of her shirt. She didn't say anything, just sideways glanced up at Liam before looking back to her brother. Sylas shook his finger as he laughed smugly. "She's a smart one isn't she?... Makes me wonder what she sees in a big idiot like you?"

Sloane quickly spun on her heels, moving between the two. She turned her back to Sylas as she pressed her hands to Liam's abdomen, trying to stop him from lashing out. "Don't. He's just trying to get under your skin. If you to hit him first, you'll look like the bad guy," She said quietly as she looked up at him. Sloane wouldn't be able to stop Liam if he was set on murdering Sylas in front of everyone. But she hoped he'd listen to her rather than her brother.

"Yes, tame your beast. It's only a matter of time before your control over him fades. And then what, dear sister?"

"I don't control him," Sloane replied coldly, before looking over her shoulder toward her brother. "I'm not you."

"How adorable. You asked his permission didn't you?" Sylas shook his head, laughing softly as he tossed the bottle in his hand. "She's obviously taking advantage of you big boy. You fought her battles, give up your home... even let her worm her way into your mind willingly. Is she that good in bed?"

Sloane's jaw clenched as her gaze moved to the ground and her hands fell from Liam's chest. Her cheeks began to flush, getting so red it nearly outshined her lipstick. "Who are we kidding? Sloane here is a prude." Sylas raised his hand to stroke his sister's cheek with his index finger. "I doubt she's ever been kissed." He chuckles before wrapping his arm around Sloane's shoulders. "Let's change that, shall we?"

Her eyes went wide as Sylas tugged her away from Liam. Although his face was friendly and he appeared to be walking with her amiably, his grip on her arm was strong, almost challenging her to struggle against him. She was barely able to keep up with his long strides, frequently glancing over her shoulder toward Liam. She didn't want him to start a fight, not here in front of everyone. That'd give her brother what he wanted. He was going to continue to push Liam and herself until one of them caved.

Sylas came to a halt near the bonfire, but didn't release his hold on Sloane, instead leading them both to step up on a log. He raised his free hand to his lips letting out a loud whistle. Once he had everyone's attention, he gave a charming smile before speaking. "I don't know about all of you, but my sister and I think that what this party really needs... Is a game!" He holds up the bottle, wiggling it slightly.

He jumps down from the log, leaving Sloane to slowly step down on her own while he walks around the fire. "I'm sure you've all heard of 7 minutes in heaven." Sylas smirked. "I was content with a simple game of spin the bottle, but Sloane's itching for something a little more exciting." He slowed his pace until he was standing before Andy. "Andy, would you mind conjuring up something a little more... private?"

Andy slowly sat up right, tapping her fingers against her beer. She didn't want to be a part of this game, but Sylas didn't look like he was going to let anyone get away with sitting out. She sighed, before extending her left hand with her palm up. As her hand raised, a closet rose up from the ground on a farther edge of the beach, a hundred or so feet away.

Sylas smiled as he turned back around to face the rest of the campers. "I'm sure you all are familiar with the rules." He tapped the brim of the bottle to his bottom lip as he scanned everyone. "Now who should go first?" At one point he slowed down before Sloane. "It'd be unfair to give it to you first. After all, this was your idea... You'll just have to wait your turn." He grinned looking between her and Liam.

But then he spun around and walked directly up to a particular blonde, that he was very interested to learn more about. Eve. Sylas flipped the bottle in his hand, before holding it out to her. "The honor is yours."

Sloane crossed her arms over her chest. She hated when he did stuff like this, spun things around on her. He made it seem like this was her master plan, so if she left... Well, she couldn't. With a sigh, she took a seat on a log as far from her brother as possible. This was going to be a long night.

"You've never allowed one arm to get you down, though, which is pretty damn awesome if you ask me."

Wes chuckled softly. "Well, thank you. I couldn't very well bitch about something that was my own fault, now could I?"

Alex hooked her arm in his as they headed through the woods toward the party. She seemed happy at the little decorations of lights leading to the beach and the prospect of a party. It did always seem to lighten moods for most of the campers. Wes just hoped that it might be an opportunity for him and Trinity to... move forward maybe. If that was still an option. He hated it that she was mad at him for something he didn't do. Or maybe he did and he was just too much of an idiot to realize it. Wes just hoped, whatever it was, he could fix it.

"Let's make this a night to remember."

He smiled toward her, then quickly ducked away when she tried to tickle him. "Woah, none of that." He laughed, holding his index finger up in contradiction.

Wes slowly trailed after Alex toward the concession table, where there was an ample amount of food and a variety of drinks available. He hadn't quite realized how completely famished he was until he smelled the food. He wasted no time fixing up a burger and snagging a beer to drink along with it. He barely ate all day with his stomach in constant knots. Now with food in front of him, he had to fight to urge to shove it down in a single bite.

"If there's any dancing... you going to ask Trinity?"

He froze with the burger held to his lips. "I want to... I just... I don't know if she'd agree."

Wes took a large bite out of his food as he turned around to observe the party. He froze, mouth full, when he saw Trinity standing a few feet in front of him. He stood there... awkwardly as he tried to quickly chew and swallow the the food. "Trinity... You look gorgeous." Wes looked awkwardly between his burger, beer and then Trinity. He quickly set what he held onto the table and dusted his hands off on his pants. "Can I get you a drink?"

Shortly after he asked, Sylas made a loud show beckoning everyone to join in on a game. Wes didn't know how he felt about partaking. He didn't need another reason for her to be mad at him. He slowly took a step toward Trinity, motioning toward the bonfire. "Did you want to join? I wouldn't kiss anyone... just stand there awkwardly for 7 minutes." He quickly continued adding another comment. "I mean, you can kiss whoever you want though... Or we could just walk around. Or I could leave you alone. I just want you to enjoy yourself... to be happy."

Gods was he putting his foot in his mouth. Wes awkwardly chewed on his bottom lip. He didn't know how to fill the silence, so instead he grabbed another beer. He popped it open, then held it out toward her, almost like a silent peace offering. He was content to wait until she decided his fate for the evening.

7 minutes in heaven

1. The person who receives the bottle, spins it and it will land on whomever they want. Doesn't have to be for romantic reasons, just whomever they desire.

2. They are locked in the closet for 7 minutes.

3. Afterwards the person who the bottle landed on (not who spun it) picks who goes next.

disclaimer: I suggest writing a collab between the two characters going into the closet, so that it isn't a bunch of back and forth posts and so it doesn't take forever for one round. It could be easy enough to include the spinning of the bottle, time in the closet and choosing the next person in a single collab.

Any questions, let me know :)

Image They'd talk later about the details. He mentally promised. For now the priority was for Andy and him to have fun and own the party.

Peer pressure mixed with a dash of guilt trip worked every time. But he couldn't revel in the moment because some different faces approached him. "Good evening, um, Keith? Did something happen to you? You look different," Heath observed.

Mason outright laughed and left with the quiet girl which seemed to distract Heath entirely.

"Sorry, not use to seeing my sister dance," Heath explained. Daniel looked between the dancing pair and the brother. Daniel nodded, seeing it already. "I don't know if you know this, but Iliana and I aren't blood related. My father adopted her after her own biological father was killed. Anyway, back to that question?"

Well that was just a casual bomb to drop on his head. Daniel blinked stunned Heath was able to say it all without emotion. "I guess I'm sorry to hear if you are?" Daniel said uncertainly. But as Heath seemed eager to press on, Daniel adopted a less sympathetic and uncertain attitude with a clap of his hand. "Back to that question though, I'm glad you've noticed my new look. A lot has happened. I caught the love bug, lost my virginity, tried make up, Ethan's serenity inducement is having max effect." The things he listed off probably served as a slap to the son of Athena's pride and intelligence. But he didn't lie to be harmful, he lied to be bluntly evasive. "It's a long story and the party's not the place for it. But you can call me Daniel if you like."

"Hey, Cherise's boy toy - grab us some beers and get some good music going!" A girl called out. Daniel frowned at her charm but obeyed one request, the music was something he was happy to provide. Something upbeat to get some head bopping or toe-tapping from the reluctant movers and dancers to fully indulge.

Daniel was about to head over and grab four beers when another girl approached Heath and him. “I get to see Mason dancing? Is it my birthday?” Was a blonde's way of entering the conversation. “You know, I’m super impressed with you. I thought you’d be over there all growly and ripping the two of them apart.” Was the guy really like that? He seemed to have a bit more composure than that but when it came to sisters he supposed anything could happen.

Daniel watched his mini dare take place with very tame actions and moves. He also saw Cherise and another girl with Ethan, dancing like clowns, bringing a warm smile to his lips. She was absolutely beautiful and carefree. “And you, I would have bet serious money on that guy having no friends.” Daniel glanced to the blonde. Normally that was a pretty safe bet. “Between you and me, I think he fancies himself as some kind of big scary wolf.” Daniel grinned as she did. Also, half accurate.

"I always thought a lone biker,” he jested back.

“I’m Eve.”

"Daniel," he said in turn, offering the girl a smile. "So you know Mason? Well...relatively?" he asked, wobbling his hand. The son of Hades managed to prove unpredictable time and time again.

He didn't get quality greeting time with the girl before a loud whistle pierced the party. Daniel turned towards it waiting for the big announcement from Evelyn's intimidating boyfriend. "I don't know about all of you, but my sister and I think that what this party really needs... Is a game!" A part of him wanted to whistle and applaud but that might show too much enthusiasm. "I'm sure you've all heard of 7 minutes in heaven. I was content with a simple game of spin the bottle, but Sloane's itching for something a little more exciting." Ah a modern day Janet. There was no denying 7 had the potential to be a lot more exciting. For the people locked in heaven. Or a small space for to feel claustrophobic. It was all in perception.

The dude crept around and bestowed the bottle upon Eve. "The honor is yours."

"Let the games begin," he muttered to himself, rocking back and forth on his heels with boy like excitement. However, seeing as Eve would soon be busy cozying up to whoever, Daniel looked around for some new company. The company he sought was like being doused in a cold shower. There were a few redheads on camp but fewer with the aura of Evelyn.

Daniel gravitated towards the girl who may not be locked in a closet until her turn and wasn't busy busting moves. He hooked his arm through hers and gestured off for a little walk. They could talk wherever she pleased, she wasn't the kind you could drag away. But he'd rather lead her a couple paces off, remaining in party vicinity of course.

He unwound his arm from hers and stood in front of her. There was something nerve-racking about standing before her as someone new in a sense with the whole crossover identity issues. He grinned bashfully and held out his arms. "Problem solved. Hi, I'm Daniel." He reached out for a shake. "I'm the son of Hecate, most my injuries are self-inflicted. I have a debatably bad habit of playing with illusions and conjurations." He pulled down his collar, exposing his neck and shoulder, "Wendigo conjuration," he rolled up a sleeve and pointed to the bite on his arm, "zombie," then he pulled up his top showing his abdomen, "crossbow," he smirked to Evelyn. They both knew the latter well.

He tapped to his last big scar. "And spear. This is the one that killed me," he explained softly. That part wasn't so humorous. Hecate had brought him back but Daniel was deceased for a long time. "Thank you for your help, Evelyn," he added sincerely. Without her, he'd still be the awkward geek that had no concept of his powers that lived inside a shell. That was the worst thing about Keith, otherwise, he wasn't a bad persona - but Daniel being Daniel again, he was beyond grateful and appreciative for that. How could words express it? He kissed her cheek. "You look beautiful by the way."

Daniel gestured to the refreshments. "Can I get the lady a drink? Theeen maybe steal a dance?" he suggested, quirking his brow up for her assessment. Slender Man liked to move about so he probably wouldn't pay attention to his redhead for a while.

Image Somewhere inside Mason was hoping for a rejection then he could report to Daniel he tried and failed. Iliana's consent was equally as pleasing and surprising though. He kept his moves small to avoid startling the girl, that and he wasn't big on dancing. At one stage he placed a hand on her waist and grabbed her hand to sway them about but beyond that, not much of a graze came of their dance. Mason gave Iliana a twirl or two. "Not so bad is it?" he asked her. Mason caught his booty call with Heath and Daniel. He smirked at her raising his brows and tilting his chin up.

Their dance wasn't long lasting which was for the best. Sylas whistled, managing to reach beyond the speakers. Mason shuffled closer to hear him speak. He proposed a game of 7 minutes in heaven - him or Sloane whoever, it made no difference. Mason hung onto the words waiting for the catch but it was a regular game of 7 minutes in heaven. He rolled it over in his head if it was worth joining then ultimately decided why the hell not. There was no better way to get to know your camp buddies than being locked in a closet with them. Mason poured himself a shot of vodka, downed it then picked up a beer along the way. He felt in his jacket pocket to grab a cigarette. He patted over another pocket then sighed, muttering out a curse. Mason forgot them. But he didn't really want to double back to his cabin until he saw who the poor soul that would be trapped in a closet with Eve was. At least her powers would make them feel lucky.

He didn't know if the willing participants were merging together or what as there wasn't that much movement, but he managed to bump into Alex. Hard. Rather than give her a look or words that said how badly he wanted her to drop dead, he remained stone-faced. "Open your eyes much? You gonna decapitate me too now?" He looked her over. "Got an object you can blame another curse on?"

Mason kept walking not caring for her reply and sat on one of the vacant logs. People could say what they wanted but there was a lack of accountability on the Gods and Alex's side so yeah, Mason was still pissed and if the bottle managed to land on her, he'd happily strangle her.

Image "Please don't start addressing me as 'your majesty.' and I don't know... you know I'm not much for gifts, but I am curious as to what you may have in mind.."

"Whatever your majesty prefers," Duke joked. Honestly, he couldn't see himself addressing Ajax in that formal of a manner even when he became superior in Olympian standards. They'd have to find a more comfortable title when the time came. And for now, Duke let the gift comment slide.

As the cook off began and Duke piled the cooked ones to the side, Ajax got his attention. "Now look at that." Duke looked up to his masterpiece of a burger and grinned. "I call it...." Duke waited in suspense for the perfect name for such a burger. "Well... I don't know what to call it, but I know I want to eat it."

Duke chuckled and nodded. "Probably the best choice."

Ajax bit into it and made noises like the cameras were rolling and he was advertising his burger, making Duke give him another amused glance. Duke even looked around, to the left and right and over his shoulders pointedly. "You done? I mean you've had a burger before right? Watch..." Everybody did it differently but Duke placed a burger on a bun, put the chilly sauce on the meat, showed Ajax a whole sliced piece of cheese then popped it on the burger, then sliced letters, tomato and some onion bits."Annnd" Duke popped one more hamburger on it, topped it with sauce then stepped back, compressing the burger. He was not a fussy eater but he was a man that worked up an appetite and loved his meat.

Duke left the cooking station, covering his mouth as bits of lettuce fell from his mouth. "I got a bit ambitious," he admitted. "But revisiting this gift...Do you want a shield? Warhammer?" Sure the boys knew each other but he didn't want to waste resources on something Ajax didn't use or admire at least. "That's why I'm kinda hoping you tell me the design details and we work from there. When you're ready."

Duke had another mouthful of food when an announcement of 7 minutes in heaven happened. He shook his head automatically. If people wanted to be intimate there were actual roomie cabins for that and better, it could be with a person you actually liked. The games and minds of his peers were unfathomable. Logic and the straight road sat right in front of them and they wanted to go over the river rapids. "You going to join? I mean technically you don't even have to do anything..." He didn't know why he was trying to nudge Ajax towards the game. Probably because he hadn't played a group game with campers in ages and it'd be a nice change. It'd distract him from his thoughts.

No one was more surprised then Ethan when Cherise and Rae pulled him in for a dance. For one thing, I never learned to dance. His teen years hadn't been spent around others his age. Well, he had gone to a few of Heath's families' 'get togethers' where his aunts tried to teach him a few moves. But sadly he had two left feet in that sense. However, Ethan did try his best to keep up with both girls. He looked for some assistance though, particularly from Heath. He caught sight of him with Keith still.

"Hey! Heath! I could use a hand here!"

Heath had been waiting for Keith's explanation when he heard his friend. He couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. However, he was smart enough to know that to get involved would be trouble.

"Sorry Ethan. Man up okay? You'll manage."

Ethan groaned and turned back to the ladies.

"Sorry if I am not good at this. Ya'll are great though. Try not to tire me out too much okay?"

Heath in the mean time turned back to Keith, who's real name was Daniel it seemed. It look like the explanation was too complicated for him tell him. He raised his eyebrows though at some of the things he said though. This Daniel was vastly different then Keith. However all thoughts exited his mind when Eve showed up. He pretty much ignored her. That was his mistake though when the girl touched him. He also had been looking back at Mason and Iliana and the sudden urge to separate them nearly overwhelmed him. He looked away though. His stubborn nature kicked in and he refuse to listen to his brotherly instincts. He saw Daniel greet Eve before leaving. Not wanting to be alone with Eve, he walked off and ended up near the food and watched Ajax and Duke make burgers. It was very impressive.

It wasn't long when the dancing stopped though. Iliana had been watching Ethan with Cherise and the new redhead herself. She was extremely concern for him for she could tell he was overwhelmed. She had also seen Eve around her brother and the urge to go over there and get between them was strong. A frown appeared on her face and her amber eyes flared up. Her thoughts were interrupted when Mason addressed her.

"Not so bad is it?" he asked.

Looking back at him she shook her head. He was a good dancer, but it was hard to enjoy the dance when so many thoughts filtered through her head. Luckily the dance ended and Mason soon left her side. It was at that moment that Sylas announced a game to play. She never heard of that before. Did Sylas's sister really come up with the idea? She didn't look too thrilled. Iliana was so focused on the two that she almost missed the interaction with Mason and Alex. That was the one thing she had been trying to prevent. While they were too far away for her to hear what they said, Iliana moved closer and caught Alex's annoyance. However the demigoddess soon left and approached Pete and another girl. Iliana looked around and saw Trinity and Wes. She decided to stay out of that. She then remembered Heath still had her tablet. She found him near Ajax and Duke. Heath smiled when he saw his sister.

"Did you enjoy yourself?"

Relief was evident in his voice. Iliana shook her hand a bit, which meant 'okay'. She then grabbed her tablet from him before asking if he was okay and she saw Eve with him.

"I doing better now. Did Sylas make some sort of announcement?"

~Yes, he said his sister Sloane wanted to play 7 Minutes in Heaven. I don't think it was her idea though. She didn't look too thrilled. I don't know what this game is, but it involves a bottle and a closet. Andy conjured one up it seems. Eve got the bottle.~

Heath groaned. He knew what the game was. Never played it. He immediately thought of Ethan though. The guy was not a fan of tight spaces.

"Concept of the game is simple. Eve will spin the bottle and whoever it lands on, the two of them will spend 7 minutes doing anything inside of a closet. After that, the person whom the bottle land on will pick the next person to spin the bottle."

What was Sylas trying to accomplish here? Trouble of some kind it seemed. And picking Eve seemed to only confirm it. Iliana was concerned too, only for Alex though. If Mason got picked, there was a chance he could end up with Alex. What would he do then? He would dare hurt in front of the other campers right? Heath saw concern on his sisters features.

"What is wrong Lia?"

~I am afraid for Alex. I don't think she's safe here, not from Mason at least.~

Heath nodded and whispered, "I think so too, but Mason isn't dumb. He wouldn't try something now with all the campers around."

Iliana nodded and walked off. Heath sighed and decided to check on Ethan.

Ethan was relieved when the dance ended and Sylas made the announcement. He quickly left Cherise and Rae though. He knew about the game but was not interested in playing it at all. He decided to move a ways from the others and closer to the beach. He sat on a bench and this was where Heath found him.

"Not interested in going to Heaven huh?"

"Definitely not. Where is Iliana?"

"Doing her own thing. She's got a lot on her mind."

Ethan nodded and the two sat in silence.

Iliana decided to play the game. She wanted to warn Alex, but saw that the young lady kissing Pete. She ended up sitting alone watching others.

Nelly was by herself too. The words of Andy and Trinity was still ringing in her ears. She figured the best course of action now was to watch and observe and do her best to keep her thoughts to herself. She definitely wanted to play 7 Minutes in Heaven. She did have to google an explanation of it on her cell phone though. She was curious to see who Eve would pick. She had no idea who she would pick though if she got a turn.

Even though Ethan and Heath were too far away from the party to hear what was going on, they were close enough to see who was with who and who also went into the closet. Sylas choosing Eve originally didn't surprise them, but Mason choosing Liv was interesting. Heath in particular wasn't surprised to see Sylas come their way though.

"Who comes to a party and doesn't partake in the festivities?"

"The kind who aren't into this this particular game. Plus there are no rules requiring everyone to join." Heath said plainly.

Plus there was something about this game that didn't sit right with him.

"Which one of you will it be then?"

Ethan looked a little stricken there. Heath knew he was going to have to do this. Getting up, he pat Ethan's shoulder in reassurance. He looked back at Sylas.

"After you," he said cordially, not trusting him to let Ethan be.

The guy had probably figured out why Ethan didn't want to play out the game. Coming to the circle, Heath glanced at everyone before placing the bottle done and spinning it. If he had his choice, he'd either go with Andy or Sloane because he had questions for both. But with Sylas watching, as safer bet would be Andy. Well, he only had one question for her and hopefully it be an easy answer. As if the bottle read his thoughts, the bottle landed on Andy. Heath raised an eyebrow at that and he glanced at Sylas again. However he soon turned his eyes to Andy.

It seemed all the company that had surrounded Andy earlier had quickly disappeared off in different directions. She sat alone, looking about as enthusiastic about the game as Heath was. Her gaze wasn't really focused on anything in particular, but it wasn't the bottle. So when it landed on her, she was oblivious. Until his presence in front of her caught her attention, forcing her to look up at him. "Sorry about this. Hopefully it won't be too cramped in there. It might be best I go in first."

Andy didn't have much to say, or anything for that matter. She wasn't in the mood for these dull adolescent games. There was only two people she might have tolerated being shoved in a closet with. But she barely knew Heath and definitely had no intentions of locking lips with him. She could only hope that the 7 minutes passed rather quickly without glares or sarcastic comments from others. Andy didn't need the rumors surrounding her to include a third guy.

Heath knew it be cramped for him being as tall as he was. Once they made it to the closest, Heath went in first and it was tricky to get in with all the clothes in the way. Once inside, he waited for Andy and would try to get through these 7 minutes as quickly as possible.

She glanced into the closet once Heath was inside realizing how awkwardly cramped it actually was. Andy waved her hand before her, causing the clothes and whatever else was inside to disappear, giving them at least a little more room. With a sigh, she slid inside, closing the doors behind her. She stood opposite her present company with her back against the wall.

"This is a bit awkward since we've never really interacted. I am Heath. You're Andromeda, Hecate's daughter right? You mentioned that during yesterday's trial."

"Just Andy... Only my mom calls me Andromeda," she said with a slight, awkward smile.

"You know who Keith is? He's been acting very different this evening. I asked him what was up and he couldn't give me a simple answer and said his name was Daniel and Hecate's son. I thought since you two are half-siblings you might know what is up. I don't need details, but I am just baffled and want to figure this little issue out. If you don't know, it's fine. I guess you can ask me a question too if you want."

Andy's eyes went wide slightly as she blinked taking in the question. She inhaled sharply through her teeth. Maybe this was going to be a long 7 minutes. "Well, you don't waste time." She awkwardly crossed her arms over her chest, shifting how she stood from one leg to the other. "I'm sorry, Heath. I don't know what you're expecting to get from me... Answers I guess. But it's not my place to say."

She raised her right hand to scratch her head behind her ear. Andy wasn't going to divulge anything about her brother without his permission. If Daniel wanted to talk in circles around half of the camp and let them be confused, so be it. To be honest, she didn't care. She was just happy he was back. That was good enough for her. "If you want to know, you'll have to ask him." Andy was never really the type to talk about other people's business or entertain rumors. So, coming to her for answers wouldn't result in much.

Heath should have known better that he wouldn't get an answer. He nodded in understanding though.

"Eh, it's no problem. I'll try asking him again at a better time or just figure it out myself. Thanks for your honesty though. So do you have any questions for me so things don't get any more awkward then they probably are?"

He offered her a friendly smile. He looked at his watch and saw they were 3 minutes in.

Andy tapped the toe of her sandal on the ground, then shrug her shoulders. "I haven't really thought about it," she admitted with a sad smile. Her mind has been in so many places and none of those places included half of the campers. She should have thought of something, just to fill the silence and keep time moving. Obviously Heath wanted out as much as she did, considering he checked his watch. "Unless you want to share why you and your siblings are always together." She shrugged slightly while giving a quiet chuckle. "You guys are allowed to make new friends and be your own people."

Heath chuckled at what Andy said.

"I guess there's one thing I can clear up. Ethan isn't my brother. He's just staying at my place while studying abroad in Scotland. And Iliana and I aren't blood related. She's actually my adopted sister. After loosing her dad when she was young, Demeter tried finding her another family and my own father ended up adopting her. There is a reason why the three of us stay together. I can't give you the exact reason for that, but it's for Iliana's sake. Only today did she finally tell us she wanted to do more things on her own, which makes me happy because I want her to be more independent."

Andy nodded her head with a slight nod of her head. Made sense, sense enough anyway. She wasn't going to pry, it wasn't her business. "This place is kind of a cesspool for drama. I don't blame you for keeping her close and safe." She gave Heath an actual genuine and slightly sympathetic smile. She couldn't protect Daniel, even when she wanted to. But she understood the feeling.

Looking at his watch, he saw time was up.

"Whelp, let's get out of here. Thanks for your time. You can go first."

With a sigh, Andy pushed off the wall and opened the door. She didn't have to hang her head in shame or avoid eye contact because nothing happened. She was thankful that he didn't try to make a move on her. Heath didn't seem all that bad, maybe a little too inquisitive for his own good, but he had good intentions. Andy snatched the bottle up from the sand then looked around at the campers.

After getting out of the closet himself, Heath headed back to where Ethan was.

After gauging who she had as options, Andy finally made her choice. She weaved her way past and between people until she came to stand before her brother and a red head, that she honestly didn't know if she had met or not. "Sorry to interrupt. I've heard he's very charming." Andy addressed Evelyn with a friendly smile. "But this jerk made me come to this party. So, he gets to go next." She shoved the bottle against Daniel's chest, giving him a big cheeky smile. "Knock yourself out."

"So how did it go in there?" Ethan asked as Heath returned.

"A little awkward, but it's to be expected since we never talked til now."

Ethan nodded. Only one that had met Andy up to this point was Iliana, and even that encounter had been brief.

"Was Andy one of the people you thought of spending 7 minutes with? What did ya'll talk about?"

"Yes she was. I just asked her about Keith, but she said she couldn't give me answer either. I knew it was a longshot, but I felt it didn't hurt to ask as long as I didn't ask for details. I'll admit though, I do want the details, but I know it's not my business. After all, I would never give details about Iliana's situation without her permission. She did make a few comments on how the three of us are together a lot. I told her the truth that we're together a lot for Iliana's sake, but not everything. She was understandable, which I figure she would be."

"Hmm, well I have been thinking we need to start interacting with others more. You can speculate all we want, but until we get to know these people, we won't get anywhere that much. Observing them can only get us so far."

Heath thought about that. His friend was right.

"You want to start tonight then?

"Uhhh, maybe not right now. I don't want to take any chances of getting inside that closet."

"Mmm, staying over here didn't help either.

"Yes, but staying over there only greatly raises one's chances."

Heath chuckled.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I don't think it's Sylas you have to worry about. I think someone hurt him. I wonder who it could have been?"
Iliana looked at Cherise in shock. And it was for the reason one would think. It wasn't because someone hurt Sylas, but because she didn't believe her about Sylas. Sure, she had no concrete evidence of Sylas being dangerous, but she once made the mistake of not trusting her instincts and she was trusting them majorly in this case. Plus, she couldn't help but feel that that source of rage from earlier had been Sylas since she saw him exit that beat up cabin and it hadn't been too long ago when she felt that rage. Was she really jumping the gun on this one? It was then she remembered she had seen Cherise with Sylas this morning. At a lose, Iliana just sat there, lost in thought.
Meanwhile, Nelly had just taken some of the redhead's load when a guy showed up to help. She smelled the beer on him and his first words only confirmed that. Finally the redhead answered her.
"Well, Penelope, I am glad you asked. I, for one, am headed back to my fun little party with my dear Sun Child and her little friend. You are free to join, but no drama, please. We are a hormonally, angsty free space. Parties are supposed to be fun, and some of these people are total mood crushers."
Sun child? Must be Apollo's daughter then for he was the only one Nelly could think that was associated with the Sun, unless you counted Helios of Greek mythology. But her father never talked about someone with that name, so it had to be Apollo.
"Oh don't worry about me. I am as fun-loving as they come. I prefer no drama."
Her fellow ginger then started flirting with the new guy, even asking him to get Nelly a burger and beer. It was a good thing they were in Greece because Nelly technically wasn't legal in US terms since she was 20. She was fine with beer, but did prefer something more fruity, like margaritas. Soon they arrived at the young lady's destination, which was with none other then Iliana and the brunette she had wanted to check on. Theo soon returned and the redhead quickly introduced Cherise and Iliana to him. Cherise then proceeded to get up, only to knock her food over. Nelly barely managed to contain her laughter, but a snort did come out.
"I'll clean that up, no worries," she said and proceeded to do so.
She looked at Iliana saw the girl was down in the dumps about something. She didn't even pay attention to the food and beer she had gotten.
"Iliana are you okay?"
This startle Iliana a bit, but not so much that she dropped her own food. It was then she saw Rae had returned with Nelly and there was another guy with them. Looking at Nelly, she merely shrugged her shoulders and began eating her burger. She wasn't bound to touch the beer for she didn't like alcohol. Seeing that Iliana was preoccupied, she turned back to the new guy, Rae, and Cherise.
"So fellow redhead, care to share with us your name too?"
“I do believe some of those are death glares,” Andy observed causing Evelyn to smile. Besides after noticing that, Andy’s attention had stayed elsewhere for some time. Dare she guess, onto one of the admiring looks cast her way.
Then Andy graced Evelyn back with her awareness. “There are far more interesting people here than me. Like that girl who shared her safe word... Or Eve.”
Evelyn smirked and nodded her head side to side. Interesting in context through Andy’s eyes must have meant apparently typically attractive or something of the sort and by the sounds of it, Eve had hit a personal nerve with Andy. “You’re right, you’re probably not in their league,” Evelyn said before smiling. Sure Eve and her fellow red head gained the attention of many, in a more call upon fashion. But Andy conjured the interest in a more dignified and inner strength way. A beauty she didn't know she possessed. “Besides, interesting is subjective and I wouldn’t call you boring.”
From there, she discovered Andy could place herself in the same boat of kissing the mysterious person of appeal and that it was ‘complicated'. Evelyn hummed in understanding. As mortals things would be complicated, add the powers into the conflict and of course the drama would be tenfold.
They danced and Andy laughed at Evelyn's misfortune, no that she was sour about it. She couldn't be anyway as her area was supposed to be in luck and fortune. Evelyn grinned in turn just happy to see her happy. For a while at least. “Call it foreplay,” Andy jested, making Evelyn laugh.
“Well, I am trying to be brightside about it.” On the mentioning of brightside, Andy transformed into that deciding to take Evelyn's hand and twirl her.
The dancing partners continued to move and let themselves get absorbed in the music rather than potential drama and stares they might face. Well Andy was at least, but Evelyn was drifting between worlds. Wiggling her body and hips while stretching out her arms, finding the movement as liberating as the music, then flashing her gaze now and then to the circle for brief updates. Andy twirled her now and then, her dress spinning out with her often resulting in a smile from Evelyn.
She didn't want to spoil the spell Andy was under but Evelyn couldn't help a little curiosity sneaking in. As long as Andy didn't trouble herself with such a harmless question. “So, aside from me of course, who would you prefer as your dancing partner tonight? You might need to use them.” Evelyn added and rose a brow, meaning, she'd be excusing herself shortly. Only when she got an answer for once from Andy and it had to be a good one. “Alternatively, of course, you could use your imagination.” Evelyn shot Andy a sly and suggestive wink. There were no complications in dreamland. Or less of.
Evelyn finally nodded to the water in a gesture of where she'd be. It was on the way there she spotted two boys well outside of festivity range making themselves scarce. “You guys okay? Afraid to be crammed up in a dark space?” she teased, even with the fear of the dark and claustrophobia being common fears. Even when she knew well one had already been in there.
She didn't let them deter her from her original destination, just kept strutting on until her feet met the cool water. There she cupped some water and splashed it on her leg. As delightful as a cocktail scented leg was, they weren't playing with tequila and salt so there were slim chances of any "foreplay".
She looked back over her shoulder to Ethan who she had met and the one named Heath. Supposedly Athena's son according to the trial. She took him for outspoken and figured it was time to test that. More people had to be called out on their lies. Evelyn smiled warmly. “I'm Evelyn. I'm one of Hera's kids. She's got a wicked sense of humor,” no doubt the boys had met Eve already, “Eve and Evelyn,” she explained and rolled her eyes with a dramatic sigh.
“I apologize on behalf of my sister. It's so easy for us to feed into the darker nature of the Goddess. Eve's the wicked one of the family. But we all have a little in us, wouldn't you boys agree?”
As Ethan and Heath continued to talk about different things, they still kept an eye on the other campers. Ethan chuckled when Andy gave the bottle to Keith/Daniel. The two still didn't know what to call the guy. He in turned ended up going into the closet with Cherise. Andy in the meantime had started talking with Evelyn and the two started dancing.
"Now there's a sight that'll never get old. Hot ladies dancing," commented Ethan.
"Careful, Ethan. One of them is Ajax's girlfriend."
"True, but it never hurts to look. But maybe I should also find out who Evelyn's divine parent is before I make comments like that. If she was like my half-sister, I wouldn't have said anything like that. Then again, mother would have already told me if I had any half siblings here already."
Heath nodded before seeing Cherise and Daniel leave the closet. Cherise then in turned handed the bottle to Trinity. Heath furrowed his brow when the bottle landed on Eve, but Trinity merely shoved her out of the way to get Wes.
"Is it just me, or does the bottle land on someone that is connected to the spinner?"
"Uh, I doubt it. I mean, for you the bottle landed on Andy and prior to that, the bottle landed on Sylas when . . . . Poseidon's daughter spun it. I can't remember her name. I just remember her saying she was Poseidon's daughter during the trial."
"You might be right, but Andy was one of the people I hoped the bottle landed on because I wanted to see if she knew what was up about Keith. The odds of the bottle landing on her were pretty slim."
"So you think the bottle is enchanted in some way?"
"I can't prove it yet, but I wouldn't be surprised, especially it was Sylas who had the bottle to begin with. I wish I knew who his divine parent was. That would help me figure out what his abilities were"
"You could always ask him. Or his sister."
"True. If he's smart though, which I think he is, he won't tell me."
After Wesley and Trinity left the closet, Wes ended up giving the bottle to Pete, who in turned ended up in the closet with a redhead they had yet to meet. Once their 7 minutes was up, the redhead passed onto yet another ginger. Soon the girls around Iliana started leaving, before Iliana left to talk with Wesley and Trinity, while the other ginger spun the bottle and got Sylas. After their turn, Sylas passed on the bottle to Alex. However the attention became diverted when Evelyn approached them.
“You guys okay? Afraid to be crammed up in a dark space?”
Ethan laughed nervously.
"Yeah as silly as it sounds, that's exactly why I didn't play the game. Heath here has been in the closet already."
Heath merely grinned at his friend. He felt bad for him, but couldn't blame him after he found out why the man was claustrophobic. He himself was scared of getting stuck in between walls again. He was determined to get over that fear though. Evelyn proceeded to the beach but soon returned and introduced herself to Heath.
“I'm Evelyn. I'm one of Hera's kids. She's got a wicked sense of humor, Eve and Evelyn. I apologize on behalf of my sister. It's so easy for us to feed into the darker nature of the Goddess. Eve's the wicked one of the family. But we all have a little in us, wouldn't you boys agree?”
Heath raised an eyebrow. That was one elaborate lie she did. Almost like she did it on purpose.
"If you are indeed Eve's sister, then you both are lousy liars. I am sure Hera has a wicked sense of humor though. Care to share who your real parent is? I take it you know who I am if you remember the trial. I am Heath and I know you've already met Ethan. It is nice to meet you though Evelyn."
During this time, Nelly was still trying to figure out who to interact with. She still wanted to find out if Sylas had been telling the truth about his parentage. And she wanted to find out before she forget because she knew she had a habit of forgetting to do stuff she had planned. The best person to approach would be Sloane, but seeing how the girl was hanging out with a guy that was pretty intimidating, that was easier said then done. Plus if Sylas spotted her interacting with his sister, he might out what she was up to, and she loved getting away with things. Looking around, she soon spotted two guys near the beach. A light bulb went off in her head. Perhaps she could interact with them and have one of them go with her to talk with Sloane. Sloane was near the bar anyway so she could get another drink as another cover. Perfect! Plus she wanted to get to know all the campers anyway. Be killing 2 birds with one stone.
As she headed over there, she noticed another redhead approach them and got the tail end of their conversation with Heath talking about Eve. Smile plastered on her face, she went up to the trio.
"Good evening, I hope I am not interrupting anything important. I am just trying to meet as many campers as I can. My name is Penelope, but I prefer to be called Nelly. If ya'll are talking about Divine parents, mine is Hermes."
Heath turned to Nelly. She wasn't lying at least. Hermes though huh? This would be someone to keep an eye on then. His mother told him that Hermes was notorious for getting into trouble, but was charming enough to get himself out of it. Unlike Eris or Hades or even Hera, he never did anything mean-spirited with his actions, but could still be an annoyance. So his daughter could be the same kind of person. However Heath preferred to not make assumptions.
Ethan smiled at Nelly and replied, "Nice to meet you Nelly. I guess you already heard Heath introducing us. My mother is Hestia and Heath's mother is Athena."
Ethan confessed her teasing was exactly one of the reasons he didn't join. The good natured open book. He was only fortunate he admitted his fears so easily and openly to her and not a more sadistic demigod.
“If you are indeed Eve's sister, then you both are lousy liars. I am sure Hera has a wicked sense of humor though.” She couldn't have been that lousy of a liar then. “Care to share who your real parent is? I take it you know who I am if you remember the trial. I am Heath and I know you've already met Ethan. It is nice to meet you though Evelyn.”
Evelyn arched a brow. First he called her a lousy liar, which was great news, but then he dares to say it's nice to meet said liar. And there was no remark made on everybody having a dark side from either man. How disappointing. Evelyn repaid him with the same courtesy, not caring to tell who her real parent is. “So now you’re either lying to me or formalities and manners have been so deeply embedded into you, they’re empty.” Heath didn't seem to be so genuine and sincere himself. “Do speak your mind more Heath, I'd love to hear it.”
Apparently they couldn't dive too deep into a debate and personalities as another camper entered the conversation. “Good evening, I hope I am not interrupting anything important. I am just trying to meet as many campers as I can. My name is Penelope, but I prefer to be called Nelly. If ya'll are talking about Divine parents, mine is Hermes.”
Ethan being the truly pleasant and kind one, replied to the girl. “Nice to meet you Nelly. I guess you already heard Heath introducing us. My mother is Hestia and Heath's mother is Athena.” Good to be confirmed.
Then Evelyn took her turn to introduce herself, excluding the divine parent. “Everybody's worth meeting I suppose. I'm Evelyn.” Looking over Penelope, she recalled the new Hermes daughter of camp had a spin of the bottle, and it landed on Sylas of all the people present. Yet she thought she'd have to wait to pick his brain about it. “I saw you not long had a spin and it landed on Sylas. Was that fun for you? It must've been some meeting.” As far as she knew of Sylas, he never did things in half and was likely to make a strong impression - an even stronger one in the closet that was since some factor determined Nelly wanted him at a glance.
After receiving her answer, her gaze flickered to Ethan with her tongue pressed to her cheek. The one who hadn't been in the closet because he refused. “That makes you the odd one out. If you could choose, which demigod would you be stuck in your nightmare with?” She held up a finger to pause him. Evelyn liked to guess now and then. “I would hunch either Heath here as you seem close. Or a child of Apollo to try to bring some light in there at least.”
Ethan and Heath were very trusting and comfortable with each other, even dependant to a degree. Would their worlds crumble if a rift came between them? Evelyn decided she'd do what she did best, push some barriers and limits above the norm. In this instance, she wanted Hera's abilities to compel her company to spout some truth, but her own skillset would have to suffice. “In my opinion, meeting people is great but getting to know them is far better. For instance...” she trailed off as if pondering on what subject to select but it was already premediated “knowing what a person values. That's such a defining factor to a person.”
Evelyn didn't want any empty nonsense, like hobbies, but deep values. Something that was an essence to their beings and drove them. “Family, knowledge, freedom,” Evelyn listed off a few to give the scope she was looking for the bigger picture. But she couldn't play interrogator and closed book, not that Ethan or Nelly would mind as they were approachable but Heath and his suspicion would require more reciprocating from Evelyn. “Mine is knowledge.” Evelyn smiled to the two pleasant ones of the group. To her, knowledge brought power, leverage and fewer chances of being surprised. It was the perfect bundle deal.
However, Heath wasn't neglected. When all was said, her eyes landed on him expectantly, waiting for an answer, blunt comment or grumble. Would he dare call that a lie? Whatever departed his mouth: bitter, cold or pleasant, Evleyn meant it when she said she'd like to hear his mind more.
“I saw you not long had a spin and it landed on Sylas. Was that fun for you? It must've been some meeting.”
Sylas being brought up then reminded Heath of something. Sylas and Evelyn had been speaking with each other when he arrived at the party that evening. Nelly had remembered that also. It was a good thing she had an excellent memory.
"It was interesting to say the least. He touched me at times, but I found it to be very ticklish. Heck I don't think I even played the game right because he then backed off. I know I am a talker, so maybe I talked too much. It wouldn't surprise me if I bored him though." Nelly replied, a look for hurt on her face.
She never wanted to be boring and the idea that she might have bored someone didn't sit well with her. Not wanting to dwell on it though, she turned back to Evelyn.
"He mentioned he was Nemesis's son though and implied that it wasn't luck that the bottle landed on him. Now whether or not he was lying is another question. I am very curious to find out what kind of person he's like because he's very secretive."
There she goes again, saying things at the top of her head in front of strangers. She was really bad at keeping her mouth shut, but she didn't show any reaction to her social blunder. However, these people seemed okay, especially if Heath was Athena's son.
Nelly's words had Ethan and Heath share a look. Heath knew one of the abilities Nemesis was good was casting blessings and curses. For some reason though, Heath couldn't picture Sylas being Nemesis's son, for one major reason- if the bottle had been cursed, it would have landed on someone people didn't like, but if it was blessed, it would add up to why it landed on people others were on good terms with. However, Nelly was a wild card, and a new arrival. Why she would want to spend time with Sylas, Heath just couldn't figure it out.
Soon Evelyn turned back to Ethan and says, “That makes you the odd one out. If you could choose, which demigod would you be stuck in your nightmare with? I would hunch either Heath here as you seem close. Or a child of Apollo to try to bring some light in there at least.”
That made Ethan think a bit.
"It would be less of a nightmare if the closet was bigger. Hmm, think if I asked Andy nicely, she'd allow me to expand her closet more? But to answer your question, Evelyn, yeah Heath or his adopted sister would be the most likely options since I know them the best. But I am like Nelly here too in the sense that I want to meet as many campers as possible. You have yet to be in the closet yourself, so I'd probably would want it to be you too since you haven't played yet. Or are you even interested in playing those kind of games?"
Ethan already thought Evelyn liked playing mind games, with what she had said to Heath prior to Nelly showing up. Heath had remember her words too and would eventually answer her question about his 'politeness'. She definitely had some intellect, especially when she asked what they valued. She was honest about valuing knowledge. Before he could answer though, Nelly spoke up.
"Oh! I value my independence the most. I hate feeling caged in."
Heath grinned at her before turning to Evelyn and replying, "If we're talking about tangible things, it be myself and my friends and family. Intangible, it's a tie between balance and the truth. Also, you mentioned I was either lying myself or being fake with my formalities. I hate lying so I didn't lie, but I was automatic in my delivery of saying 'nice to meet you'. You want my honest thoughts Evelyn? I personally don't like it when you accuse me of lying when you yourself lied about Hera being your mother. And I wonder why you did it to begin with. Was it to test if I had my mother's skills? While I do have my mother's skill for picking up lies, I am no where near as experienced as she is."
Wanting to help his friend out, Ethan spoke up too.
"Uh, Evelyn, I am to blame for Heath being polite. I was raised in the Southern US and manners have been drilled into me since I can remember so I've been trying to get Heath to be polite more. It never occurred to me that someone might find politeness offensive."
Nelly just watches their banter in fascination. She had seen that Sloane and the muscled guy she had been with leave. Well, so much for her original plan. She'd find out about Sylas sooner or later.
Wesley told her not to worry about her friend that much. Easier said then done. Looked like Cherise was right about one thing, Iliana did get concern about others too much. But that was one aspect of her she doubt would ever change because of the fact that she was empathetic. His SOS comment almost got a smile out of her, but her eyes did light up a bit. His next comment after she told Trinity about her muteness confused her a lot. Sea witch? It never occurred to her that he was referencing a Disney movie. People would be shocked to know that she never watched movies. She was too 'old fashion'. If she wasn't outside, she was either training or reading. She actually had a bit of a culture shock when she first went to college. Thankfully, Trinity telling her she hoped she found her voice though had Iliana turning back and nodding.
Before Trinity could say anything about her question, Keith shows up and started saying things that take Iliana aback. He was talking too fast for her to get everything, but the things he did say confused her as much as before when he talked with Heath. Then Andy showed up and seemed to explain things, at least to Trinity and Wesley for their feelings of confusion were soon replaced by others. Try as she might, she was still confused, so much so she didn't know she had been brought up a few times. How could 'Daniel' be back? Now she wished she knew how Daniel wasn't Keith anymore. Maybe she should ask Cherise to see if she knew since the two of them had been in the closet. She could always ask Heath to see if he found out anything. She could just ask the people here though. Wanting get some kind of answer before there was anymore dancing, she let out a shrill whistle to get the four people's attention, meaning Trinity, Wes, Daniel, and Andy. Seeing them looking at her, she wrote down her words quickly.
~Can someone please explain to me what the deal is with this Daniel here? I thought his name was Keith? Was that a lie? What do you mean he's back? I am sorry, I am just so confused right now and it's driving me nuts here.~
“It was interesting to say the least. He touched me at times, but I found it to be very ticklish. Heck I don't think I even played the game right because he then backed off. I know I am a talker, so maybe I talked too much. It wouldn't surprise me if I bored him though.”
For a millisecond she feared for once she’d get too much information but the story took a turn supposedly due to Nelly’s nature. She looked hurt at the notion that she could have bored him and the touching didn't continue. Evelyn wanted to offer a slice of advice being not to get too caught up in what others made of her but stayed silent instead.
“He mentioned he was Nemesis's son though and implied that it wasn't luck that the bottle landed on him. Now whether or not he was lying is another question. I am very curious to find out what kind of person he's like because he's very secretive.”
Evelyn smiled despite herself. Nemesis's son, quick to hint the bottle has a blessing upon it and catching the curiosity of Nelly. “Do tell me when you figure it out.” Evelyn gestured in Sylas's direction. “You could always reapproach him for more talking and...touching.” The solution really was that simple for Nelly. Particularly in the event of her being so disheartened.
Their conversation went onward. “It would be less of a nightmare if the closet was bigger. Hmm, think if I asked Andy nicely, she'd allow me to expand her closet more? But to answer your question, Evelyn, yeah Heath or his adopted sister would be the most likely options since I know them the best. You have yet to be in the closet yourself, so I'd probably would want it to be you too since you haven't played yet. Or are you even interested in playing those kind of games?”
Taking a page out of Eve's book, Evelyn smiled through the unfavourable insinuation and touched Ethan's arm. “I appreciate the pity inclusion. There are other games I'm typically more invested in, but this one has managed to hold my attention,” she told him. “Add the right partner, I'm very interested in these kind of games.” What convenience this game did have a bottle that made sure it was the right partner for one reason or another.
Once again, they were able to move past the game talk and challenging. Thanks to herself and some real soul searching.
“Oh! I value my independence the most. I hate feeling caged in.”
Nelly's answer managed to prompt a smile out of Heath before he turned to her suddenly serious again. “If we're talking about tangible things, it be myself and my friends and family. Intangible, it's a tie between balance and the truth. Also, you mentioned I was either lying myself or being fake with my formalities. I hate lying so I didn't lie, but I was automatic in my delivery of saying 'nice to meet you'. You want my honest thoughts Evelyn? She crossed her arms and stepped towards Heath. So he did have some nerves and buttons to push.
“Uh, Evelyn, I am to blame for Heath being polite. I was raised in the Southern US and manners have been drilled into me since I can remember so I've been trying to get Heath to be polite more. It never occurred to me that someone might find politeness offensive.”
Evelyn removed her eyes from the target to replace them on Ethan. She wished they didn't tag team or talk for one another, yet she found herself smiling sweetly at him. “I don't blame you, Ethan. The politeness isn't what I mind.” She looked back at Athena’s son. “It's how void it is. We're already at a time and age where words are meaningless to some. I guess I expected...better from you.” Evelyn shrugged and backed away. “Maybe I said a few things to acquaint myself with your abilities,” she confessed. “But it was by no means a waste of time on my account. I could say I'm sorry if you feel differently for having your powers exercised but...” she trailed off. As they discussed, they both preferred honesty and truthful statements, and she wasn't sorry.
“This official meet and greet has been interesting.” She smiled and returned to the shoreline where she sat. Nobody to challenge or interrogate there just the simplicity of water and sand. A little wind-down moment would be perfect and well-earned.
Heath and Ethan payed close attention to Evelyn and Nelly's conversation since they were talking about Sylas.
“You could always reapproach him for more talking and...touching.”
Well there was an idea, Nelly thought. Looking in his direction though, she saw him addressing Andy and another guy. Sadly if she did that now, she probably be interrupting them. If there was one thing Nelly was trying to improve on, it was her timing skills when it came to conversations. She knew she'd never be perfect, but she knew she could be better. As far as touching went, at this point she didn't care now. She was never a touchy person to begin with. She just merely thought touching was part of the game, but the game was over now so there was no bother.
After Ethan made his comment about who he'd spend this closet time with, Evelyn replied, “I appreciate the pity inclusion. There are other games I'm typically more invested in, but this one has managed to hold my attention. Add the right partner, I'm very interested in these kind of games.”
Ethan frowned at the "pity comment".
"I wasn't taking pity on you Evelyn. I just wanted to include you. Should I have a reason to pity you?"
Soon though Heath made his comment and things soon ended with Evelyn leaving them.
"She sure is something isn't she?" Ethan asked Heath once she was out of earshot.
Heath smiled and said, "It's because she likes to make you think. Definitely a complex person. You interested in her?"
"I don't know actually. I am pretty simple guy. She might suit you better though."
"Who knows, I am not looking for anyone special. Plus I don't trust Evelyn at the moment. Still it would be best to stay on her good side."
Nelly, not like being left out, soon interjected, "Hello, I am still here."
Both turned back to her and Ethan replied, "Oh dear, sorry Nelly. Heath and I are just so use to talking with each other, it's hard to remember sometimes when others are present."
"I'll say. So what is your story anyway? How do ya'll know each other? You two are definitely from different places."
"Oh that's simple. I wanted to study abroad and ended up staying with Heath after Athena's recommendation since my mother asked around."
"Cool! I love traveling myself and am a freelance photographer."
"Really? Where have you traveled to?"
"Before you two get into it, Ethan, I am going to check on Iliana."
Plus he wanted to check on a few other things, he just didn't want to leave Ethan alone. At least with Nelly here, he would be preoccupied.
"Sure thing Heath"
Nodding, Heath left to the two gingers to talk.
Iliana wasn't going to apologize for the whistle. At the same time, she wasn't intending to upset anyone either. Daniel seemed worn out though after saying, "Think of it as a split personality. Keith was here, now he's not."
Split personality? Wait, there could be another reason- amnesia. That would also explain things. Did Daniel suffer some sort of trauma for him to end up that way? Iliana could relate to that. Her current condition was a perfect example of that. Daniel's next words got her attention.
"Forgive me for not wanting to waste time now I'm finally me again. I think as a rule...as hard and confusing as it is on all of you...until another identity is implanted in your minds, you don't talk about how I should behave. Or, how nuts it drives you guys."
Oh, she knew exactly how he felt. She was totally different from who she was over a year ago. Heck, one could say she was different since her father's death. Before she could do anything else, Daniel left with Andy quickly following. She picked up Andy's anger at her and she felt awful for some reason. Sighing, Iliana turned when Wes spoke up.
"Does this camp ever have... normal days?"
The question had been directed at Trinity, so Iliana looked back at Daniel and Andy, only to see Sylas greet them. Immediately Iliana tensed up and hid behind Trinity this time. Seeing what she did, she ended up writing on her pad showed it to Trinity and Wes.
~Sylas scares me for some reason. He's hard to read.~
Evelyn traced stray patterns in the damp sand deciding to spare fellow campers from interrogation and jumping through the mental hoops. She tilted her head back and closed her eyes sighing out to herself.
She had potentially met one of the nicest guys on camp and chose to test him and Heath instead. Even if a normal conversation was bland and dull, it was better than engaging in debate about the value of truth verse manners. Evelyn glanced in the direction of the fire and observed the odd mix of leftovers. The quiet blonde and Trinity, interesting. She wondered if the smaller one would come out unscathed. Then the bottle was passed into Mason's hands. She ended up closing her eyes and trying to relax, or let go of that habit to observe everything and everyone around her anyway. That was until she heard a rumble in the sky. Then she saw Alex pacing up to the closet and ripping Andy out of there followed by a punch. She was so shocked that only the next crash of thunder reminded her she could be indirectly a target of Zeus's wrath. She quickly withdrew her feet from the water and jumped up only to be drowned in rain. Yet like many of her peers, she could only watch in amazement: amazement that the two girls could hold so much rage and violence towards one another and didn't care they were the spectacle of impulse.
Just as the dispute appeared to reach a conclusion, Alex yelled to the skies and sent lightning out at Andy. Evelyn jumped. It was only then Ajax decided to intervene. Evelyn hugged herself becoming transfixed on Andy's motionless body. There was no sign of obvious breaths from her distance and through the rain. When Mason picked the brunette up, Evelyn's eyes darted to the Valises. She thought about offering them words of advice but in total truth, she didn't want to approach them. They wouldn't listen. After being deemed not guilty in the trial via the effects of a curse, Alex thought she was off probation and could endanger another life? It didn't make sense.
Evelyn's eyes scanned the last of the demigods on the beach gauging their response. The party was well and truly over and it wasn't safe with all the voltage coursing through the air. She didn't need enhanced senses to pick up on such a shift in the environment on its many levels. Without any more to do and nothing to say, Evelyn headed for the path, her soaked red hair plastered to her pale skin.
Of course, how could 7 minutes in heaven not end dramatically?
Trinity all but sipped on her drink when shit hit the fan. She rushed forward to see Alex and Andy trading blows and rolling about the sand for the upper hand. Her jaw set and fists clenched, edging closer to the fight but she couldn’t interfere as long as the odds were even. As much as the girls were out to kill each other, they played fair. And the rage in them needed to be released.
That was until Andy got barbequed by lightning. Mason hurried in the direction of Andy as Alex raved on and on at him. She watched him pick her up and have words said through his teeth with Ajax, then disappear. Trinity marched up to the Valises and shoved Ajax, trying to part the siblings. “Let her go Ajax, she could go another round!” she demanded, locking her fiery gaze on Alex, challenging and provoking her. “I tried to sympathise with you! You have no damn excuse for touching Andy.” Her nostrils flared and steam could emanate from her own body she was so mad.
She looked at Ajax next and jabbed a finger at him. “And you, people expect better of you. You're supposed to be a leader, but all you see and care about is your sister who frankly, puts the camp more at threat than helps it! You're both out of fucking control.” Her chest heaved as she had finally let it out. She sure didn't trust Alex and now she was losing faith in Ajax. Couldn't he have diverted the lightning or something? She thought he was the more powerful out of the two but he did nothing and continued to do nothing except hold Alex. “Wake up, Ajax! Your sister isn't the only one who needs you!” Trinity pushed Alex. She really was the golden girl, but not to Trinity and if she wasn't all bruised and battered already, Trinity would have swung. Even if Alex didn't deserve better. But the moment Alex broke free of Ajax and had a go, Trinity would retaliate and that's what she hoped for.
Heath was waiting for Iliana when she came out of the closet. He made sure to get into her line of sight in order to not surprise her. Iliana's face lit up when she saw him coming. She had never been so relieved to see him. She would have approached him, but she caught Sylas heading right for Alex. Oh no, that couldn't be good and Trinity just warned her about him too. Heath was quick to catch Iliana's gaze. He frowned seeing Sylas with Alex. What happened after that, Heath would wager a million pounds that was Sylas's doing. He'd been there when Alex nearly lost it when Sylas was around the day they arrived. It wasn't long before Alex and Andy were at each other though and right then and there Heath focused on his sister.
When Iliana felt the intense emotions of both girls, her own powers started churning, causing more rain to fall. Such anger and a tempest swirled within her, causing the wind to pick up. Dropping to her knees, Iliana let out a huge wail.
Heath was having trouble getting to Iliana for her wind was swirling around her like a mini twister. It was nothing compared to the powers of Alex though as she suddenly struck Andy with lightning. The blast of it was rocked Iliana and brought her back to one of her worse moments when humans had electrified her in order to stop her induce hunger skill. This only caused her tempest to pick up. But as quickly as it appeared, it ended for Nelly had appeared out of nowhere and was forced to knock Iliana out by karate chopping her up her back. This caused the wind to die down. Nelly was out of breath for she had to use her super speed to get to Iliana. She and Ethan had been talking when all hell broke loose.
"Sorry kiddo, I had no other choice," she sighed as both Ethan and Heath ran up, not really paying attention to anyone else.
Heath quickly checked Iliana and saw she was going to be okay, but would probably sleep for the rest of the evening. Looking up he addressed Nelly.
"Thank you for what you did Nelly. I honestly wouldn't have been able to stop her this way."
"Same here," added Ethan.
Heath picked up his sister in time for them to see Trinity lash out at the Valises and Duke's intervention.
"It doesn't make any sense. Why would Alex suddenly go after Andy? She just got a non-guilty verdict, and I would think she would want to avoid another situation like that again."
"Unless someone influenced her to do so. Sylas had been talking to Alex before she and Andy went about it. Ethan, do you remember that Sylas was nearby when Alex lost it at the stables?"
"Yeah, but so was that other guy."
"True, but he is not here right now. I think he left earlier with someone."
"Oh that be Rae hehe. Heath, are you thinking Sylas has something to do with Alex going cockoo? What I don't understand is why did Iliana here go . . . . well, crazy."
Ethan and Heath looked at Nelly before Ethan replied, "Sorry, Nelly, it's not our place to say. Heath, I am beginning to think we might have to ask Iliana's permission to tell a few people about her issues at some point. People might start picking up on it if this kind of stuff keeps happening. Maybe you can ask your mother for advice when she shows up with that pendent for Iliana in a few days."
Nelly was bummed out that they wouldn't tell her, but she figured she would learn sooner or later. She would have to ask Iliana herself. Hopefully the girl would tell her.
"Well for now I plan on going back to our cabin. But I really want to tell Ajax and Mason what Iliana and I saw."
"How about we wait in the morning Heath? Right now the focus should be on Andy and Alex and emotions are high at the moment."
Heath nodded. All were tired at this point and they decided to head back to their cabins.
For once Iliana slept through the night with no issues, so the boys got good rest too. This time the boys were the first to wake up. This was usually the case under normal circumstances. Per routine, they got changed to do their morning job. By the time they were ready, Iliana woke up. Still in her pajamas, she walked into the living room see the them getting water from their min-fridge.
"Good morning, Lia. How are you feeling?"
Seeing she didn't have her notebook, she went to grab it and a pen.
~I am better. What happened last night? My memory is a bit foggy.~
"Andy and Alex got into a major fight. It ended with with Alex electrocuting Andy. I can't remember much else about everyone else because I was focusing on you since you were loosing control. A young woman named Nelly ended up knocking you out, reluctantly I might add."
"Well, I think I saw Mason take Andy somewhere and Ajax did take Alex away. Duke did suggest we all return to our cabins though. It wouldn't surprise me if Mason took Andy to an infirmary or something like that."
Iliana was horrified. For one thing, she couldn't believe she nearly lost it again and almost endangered the lives of others. And having been electrocuted herself, she knew how damaging those kinds of injuries could be. Perhaps there was something she could do to help? She recalled that her mother had created ointment made out of aloe for her electric burns and taught her how to create it since she wanted to focus on healing based plants after her recovery. Apollo had helped of course. Her thoughts veered back to Ethan and Heath when they addressed her.
"Iliana, we're going to go jogging now. Will you be okay by yourself? You're always welcome to join us."
~No thanks. I am going to make some aloe ointment for Andy in case she got some burns. You two go ahead. If you need to find me, just use that tracking stone.~
"All right. We plan on going to the main hall for breakfast where we hope to run into Ajax or even Alex. We need to tell him what you and I saw last night Lia. Remember that it was Sylas who spoke to Alex before she lost it? Both Ethan and I agree it wouldn't make sense for Alex to pick a fight with Andy and go after her so aggressively after being found innocent. Then again, Andy did testify against Alex."
"Still no excuse for going after Andy. But yes, I am still wonder if Sylas had anything to do with Alex's behavior last night. Problem is we don't have concrete proof. Even the day we arrived, we don't 100% know if Sylas had affected Alex in that barn or if she was still affected by that curse that had been placed upon her."
"You have a point. It be unwise to make assumptions though. We still don't know what kind of person Sylas is like."
Iliana tugged on Heath's arm. Looking at his sister, he and Ethan read what she wrote. She talked about her interactions and observations last night that revolved around Sylas, from Cherise's opinion, her recalling how she'd been around Sylas yesterday morning, to Trinity's advice to stay away from him.
"She sees him as a threat huh? Makes me wonder how she came upon that decision. From what I've seen so far, she is someone to anger easily. Did her anger strike you as a genuine concern, Lia?"
Iliana nodded.
~She is volatile for sure, but I trust her opinion in this case because I can't shake this feeling about Sylas. But we are going to need proof as you two have said. Maybe I can ask Trinity if Sylas has done something already?~
"Well I think for now we should go on that run. Jogging always helps me focus. We'll see you later Lia. Be careful," Ethan said before heading out.
Heath said good bye to Iliana and headed out himself.
After getting dressed in her gardening clothes and getting some her supplies, Iliana head for the greenhouse and collected aloe vera before heading back to the cabin. She created the ointment there before taking taking a quick shower and changing for the day. Placing her notebook and pens in a tote bag, she grabbed the small jar that the aloe ointment was in and headed out. She did figure that Mason would have taken Andy to the infirmary. She just wished she knew where it was. Maybe she could find one of the people who worked at the camp? Wondering a bit, she soon came to some more cabins. Her attention was drawn quickly to the figure who was sitting on the porch and something seemed to be moving around her. Curious, Iliana came closer and saw it was a puppy. Looking at the person, she saw it was none other then Sylas's sister. Feeling awkward for a minute, Iliana quickly pulled out her notebook and wrote something down before showing it to the dark hair woman.
~Good morning. My name is Iliana and I am Demeter's daughter. I can't talk so this how I communicate with others. I am new to the camp this year. Sorry to disturb you, but do you know where the infirmary is?~
She couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy about this person, considering she was Sylas's sister, but she wasn't one to judge. Pete didn't seem all that bad compared to his sister, whom she didn't like all that much.
Heath and Ethan were still jogging as the path they took went into a wooded area.
"You'd think a place as nice as this wouldn't have such drama," Ethan commented.
"It just goes to show just how much looks can be deceiving. I hope there will come a day here that things aren't so tense."
"Still I am glad we came. I love your place, Heath, but I was getting tired of being cooped up in your place."
Ethan knew he could be completely honest with Heath. He was an extrovert, he could never stay inside for too long. Heath grinned at his friend, grateful for his assistance. He had started seeing the anxiety of staying inside, trying to help his sister, was starting to take its toll. It was a good thing their mothers told them to go to the camp when they did because he could tell that Ethan had been slowly going nuts.
As the two continued to jog, they soon started hearing voices. Finally, they came upon the source of those voices. It was Cherise and Rae. Ethan couldn't help but suppress a groan. While both girls were nice, they did freak him out last night when they dragged him on the dance floor. Heath saw his friend's face, but seeing how the two ladies already noticed them, he was the first to greet them.
"Morning ladies. Getting some archery in? We were just getting some jogging in before getting some breakfast."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I like this girl. She's beautiful and sweet and...owns a crossbow or two but, she's nice. Except when I met her I was different, and I'm not sure entirely how to explain that to her without her thinking I'm a liar or she's the butt of the joke."

This caused Iliana to think. She had only seen him with 2 girls so far, one was a redhead, and the other was Cherise. And when she first met Daniel, he had been someone else and had been with Cherise during the trial. So maybe it was her? Plus Cherise was the daughter of Apollo, whom she knew was into Archery.

~You're talking about Cherise right? I remember you two were in the closet together. Maybe if you start at the beginning on how you became a different person to begin with, that might help? And it looks like your sister, Trinity, and Wesley know what happened to you, so maybe one of them could help? My brother has told me that having those who can back up your statements can be an asset.~

Iliana might not be as smart as her brother, but she was still an observant person. And Daniel was definitely troubled by the idea of Cherise not liking him. Cherise had been in a much better mood after leaving the closet, so she was hopeful things would be fine between the two of them.

Soon those Daniel asked her a pretty personal question. Instead of answering, Iliana avoided it and got her breakfast before returning. His sudden question left her without thought and she tried coming up with an answer. Her attention was diverted when she saw Mason come in quickly before leaving. She was tempted to ask him how Andy was was, but with him in a hurry to leave, she felt it best to let him be.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nelly watched as the young woman composed herself and greeted her. She giggled when the woman's stomach growled.
"So how long have you been at this camp? I know I'm a few days late, so I hope I haven't missed anything big."
"I just got here myself the other day, so I was late too. And you've missed a few big things. I've missed some big things here, and not just the past few days. Seems a lot of stuff happened last summer because some campers were here last year and what happened then is affecting events now. So what do you want first? The good, the bad, or the ugly? I can only tell you what I know, which isn't a whole lot unfortunately. Oh before I forget, what's your name and who is your divine parent? Mine is Hermes."
The girl then asked where the food was and Nelly was glad she knew where it was from here. Suddenly Mason showed up and told them where to go. Always wanting to have the last word, Nelly called after him.
"I know where it is, but thank you DADDY!" she yelled with a laugh.
Looking at the new girl, she said, "That's Mason, he seems to think I need a babysister. You best keep an eye on him, he's definitely part of the drama here. Still I don't know what to make of him."
Leading the other demigoddess to the main hall, she saw that Iliana was there with the guy who was with Cherise in the closet. Waving at them both, she led the new girl to the food.
Iliana waved to Nelly as she came in with another new face. She finally came up with an answer for Daniel when suddenly Ajax came in and sat by himself. His angry energy was easy to read and Iliana trembled in fear, trying her best to ignore it, but his angry energy seeped into her pours, making her nauseous. Suddenly a crash was heard and it startled both Iliana and Nelly as they watched Ajax leave the main hall. Iliana didn't want to admit it, but she was relieved when Ajax left because she was about to get sick. Taking deep breaths, she tried calming herself down. This had to stop. There had to be something she could do to help Ajax and Alex. What is was, she didn't know yet. Maybe walking around would help her? Decision made, she turned back to Daniel to finally answer his question and wrote in her notebook.
~Sorry, I wouldn't know who to kiss, I haven't even met everyone yet. Besides, it seems like all the boys I've met here so far are interested in someone and I would never want to step onto any toes. It was nice talking with you, but I am going to go for now. I wish you the best of luck with Cherise.~
With a bow she was soon out the door.
Nelly saw Iliana leave and looked to the guy she had been sitting next to. Looked like he could use some company. Turning to her companion though, she said, "Hey, sorry you had to see that. Things got intense last night. That there was Ajax, and I think he's Zeus's son. Feel free to get your breakfast. I am starved myself."
With that she got her own food and sat across from Daniel.
"Hi there, I don't think we've formally met yet. My name is Penelope Givens, but I prefer Nelly. My dad is Hermes. I saw you were enjoying yourself last night." she said with a grin.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Iliana was nervous and took slow steps, but then relief filled her when she saw other campers, one of them being Alex. Next to her was Wesley. Trinity was with the other huge demigod and Sylas's sister. Deciding to talk to Alex, the blonde walked toward her and Wes and saw instantly felt her emotions. Guilt, so much guilt. Holding back her own emotions, Iliana quickly addressed both her and Wesley. Going on instinct, she wrote something done.

~Morning. Sorry to interrupt you, but I wanted to talk to you Alex. I don't know if you remember me, we only met briefly before the trial. My name is Iliana and I just wanted you to know that I have problems controlling my powers when my emotions are all over the place. I hope you don't mind me asking this, but do you remember what you were doing before you lost control of yourself? My mother use to tell me that if I knew the cause of what sets me off, I could try to find a way to prevent it from happening.~

Internally, she wasn't sure if this was a true solution. She knew intense emotions set her off, but she still struggled to control her own reactions to them.

The girls were well on their way to training. They had made good use of the area; dusted off all the targets, cleaned it up a bit, and made sure that everything was in working order. They gossipped a little bit here and there, but their goal was to spruce up on their archery and let a little bit of stress go. They even used a bluetooth speaker to put on some sweet, or not so sweet, jams to spice everything up. After all, they were technically working out - drawing bowstrings, running to and from or side-to-side to hit their targets. It's sweaty and tiring work, especially first thing in the morning (thanks Sun child).

Once upon a time, Rae was actually better than her friend. However, over time, Cherise tapping into her godly powers granted her more of a lead. Not that it mattered. They were not competitive. With each other anyway.

For Cherise, this was a good time to think about how she was going to approach Daniel. Keith. Daniel. There must have been a huge misunderstanding sometimes between the day they met and the closet. The closet of which she sort of remembers as pleasant, but she had also been quite intoxicated. Yet, she doesn't remember drinking too much. Whatever. Sometimes she got a little too far ahead of herself, and there's no doubt that the two girls didn't feed off of each other in terms of social drinking. It was a habitual thing.

Rae spent this time thinking about whether or not Pete was still at her cabin. He's cute, kind of a loner - a little less cleanly cut as she normally liked. Probably not, though. While she cared about Cherise's situation, the redhead knows that she already has a few words for their dear Daniel. Kind words in a stern tone, of course. These are the situations that best friends work best. She still needed to figure out whether or not she had to be that best friend, or a nicer one that doesn't scare away all the boyfriends. Not that scaring away boyfriends isn't fun. It is.

Somewhere in her thoughts, Rae lost control of her aim. At first, she didn't think anything of it. Then there was a tweeting noise, and she looked back at Cherise, "Did you hear that?"

The Sun-Child tilted her head, waited a few seconds, and then shook her head. "No, but—my thoughts are in another place. Sorry!"

Just as Rae was going to find the source of what sounded like pained tweets, Ethan and Heath were there. "Morning ladies. Getting some archery in? We were just getting some jogging in before getting some breakfast."

Rae offered them a smile, as did Cherise. They were both friendly people... for the most part. It was decided that the groan must have come from the boys, but then she heard the bird again. "You three will have to excuse me," she informed them as her gaze traveled someplace else for a moment. With her bow in hand, Rae left Cherise with Ethan and Heath.

And that wasn't a problem because Cherise was the friendliest of the two. "Oh, hey guys!" She gave them a genuinely warm smile and nodded to Rae as she announced her departure. "I got my job in a while ago, thank the gods. It's starting to get a little warm."

As Cherise conversed with the two guys, she went around to gather up all of the arrows. "I should probably go get breakfast myself," she mentioned. "You think a ton of people are going to be there right now? I hope not. I'm as friendly as the next person, but I like my breakfast quiet." That was a lie. While the words came out of her mouth pretty easily, anyone with a sense for untruths would know that she was being dishonest. Not that it was a big deal, though.

After she picked up all of the arrows, she counted them to make sure they were all accounted for. Then her eyes traveled in Rae's direction because they were missing one. Maybe the redhead had taken it with her. She didn't think a whole lot of it.

"I can't go to breakfast with all of this, though. Maybe I should go get a shower in." Just to make a point, she lifts an arm and unabashedly sniffs her armpits. No, she didn't smell. She's just trying to buy her time before she had to actually make sense of certain things. Was it really that big of a deal, though? Cherise and Daniel were not an item, per se. She didn't want to cling to the guy. Cherise was not a pleasant clinger, as much as she meant well.

"Actually, I am probably going to go get breakfast now," she sighed and placed the arrows into her quiver, which was then slung over a shoulder. She'd carry the bow for now. "Coming?" she inquired as she began to walk in the direction of the mess hall.

* * * * *

Rae stalked the woods and there a strange feeling that something was wrong crept over her. Her boots lightly and slowly moved across an unbeaten path, cracking twigs and crunching dry leaves that might have fallen about. She took a moment to close her eyes and tap into the visual sense of the nearest living creature, but when her eyes opened the picture was clouded and hazy. It was nearly darkening, and Rae found herself reaching out to touch nearby trees in order to not run into them.

Something about this vision felt horribly out of place, and she blinked once more to snap back to her own sight. She managed to grasp a decent picture of where the creature was, so she used that to eventually find herself where she was supposed to be.

On the ground was a nightingale with one of her arrows pinning the wing to the ground, and Rae looked up upon hearing a series of smaller whistling from apparently more than one source. There, cradled against a tree branch, was a nest. She knelt down and scooped the tiny avian up after she pulled out the arrow. Oh, but she's never been able to heal an animal in her life. What was she supposed to do? She could take her to Cherise, and she made the sound choice that it was her only option. Rae turned and began to go back from whence she came.

That's when her mother showed up; Artemis, blocking her daughter's path. "Going somewhere?" she inquired, her hands calmly placed at the lap of her flowing cream-colored dress.

"Hello, mother. So nice of you to show you care. As I have already shared with you, you're a little too late for mother-daughter talks," she says as a matter-of-factly, and attempted to bypass Artemis by stepping off to the side.

Artemis turned around to look after her retreating child, "You seem to believe that I will stand for your disobedience and your ungrateful little mouth." While the goddess' voice was quite calm, the words were firm and piercing. This was her daughter, and she would have that dominance and authority over her even if it took a harsher tone. She and Rae were very much alike—stubborn to the core, independent of others, and clearly in charge of her own life and destiny with little to no help from anyone. Those were good traits, but she needed further training and Artemis won't stand for any more of that mouth. Rae blamed her for the life that she had to live, but Artemis believed that it built the girl up to who she is now. Had her life been any easier, Rae might not be who she is right at this very moment. Sure, she has some psychological wounds and problems, but they could fix that here. Artemis could help her, but Rae was resistant at every turn.

Rae sighed, still gently cupping the wounded bird in her hands. Ever since she had come to Camp Athens, Artemis has been on her ass and it was getting a little irritating. Who did this woman think she was? Her mother? "What do you want?" she asked as she stopped in her tracks but did not turn around.

That didn't matter because Artemis walked to Rae and eventually moved in front of her. The amiable appearance of this woman made Rae sick to her stomach. The thought that she had a mother through her mess of a life the entire time made her sick.

"I just want you to heal the bird. That's all," she replied calmly and held out her hands to rest them at the knuckles of Rae's. "You injured her, so you heal her."

The truth was that Rae's arrow was never on the direct path to hit the nightingale. It simply wasn't possible. Artemis had caused it, and while it was a sort of twisted thing to do, the bird would be healed regardless of what transpired after. It wouldn't even remember that it has been injured. Perhaps that was cold of the goddess, but she thought that she might have felt a little empathy come from the girl. Just a little. It was just too bad that she had almost zero for humans.

"I'm afraid that I don't know how," Rae confessed.

"Well, my child, if you stop resisting me I can show you," she began, turning away from Rae as if she might leave, "...or you can just run to Cherise and never get better at anything. Your choice."

The Moon-Child was quiet for a few moments, her gaze cast down to the bird in thought. She looked back at the tree with the nest and wondered about this or that. Could she do it? Does she care enough about this little thing to heal it? She picked it up with the intent to bring her to Cherise. Did that mean that she cared?"Fine," she relented.

The first to speak was Cherise's friend, whom both boys had a hard time remember her name. Did she even introduce herself to them? Before either could ask though, the demigoddess left, leaving them with Cherise.

"I got my job in a while ago, thank the gods. It's starting to get a little warm."

The two nodded as she started cleaning the area up and mentioned breakfast before stating she hoped for a quiet breakfast. Heath nodded. He did catch the lie, but decided to not address it since Cherise must have her reasons. He would keep an eye on her though and if she lied again, he would bring it up.

"I come from a big family and I am lucky if I have a private breakfast. Then again since moving out on my own, most of my breakfasts have been quiet. But then Ethan here likes talk and fill in the silence."

Heath chuckled when he said that last line.

Ethan rolled his eyes and replied, "Are you saying I talk too much?"

"You are pretty loquacious my friend," Heath laughed.

"See what I have to put up with Cherise? He takes after his mother too much, he's too honest for his own good."

"Thank you, I am glad I am like my mother. Since I know when someone lies to me, it be hypocritical to lie myself," Heath replied, looking directly at Cherise when he said that.

While he wouldn't bring up her lie, he did want to remind her not to lie around him. When Cherise finished up, she debated on whether she should take a shower or not. She eventually decided she would go now and asked if they were coming. Both guys smelled themselves too.

"Unfortunately I do need a shower Cherise."

"Same here, but we'll meet up with you there in no time. Our cabin isn't too far from here."

With that the 2 left and soon arrived at their cabin before getting taking showers and getting changed. Leaving the cabin again, they head for where the food was and arrive to indeed see others there. Seeing that Iliana wasn't there, both wondered if she had already ate and just left. They get their own meals and sit down to eat.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Even though Iliana was aware of when the others were doing, she kept her whole attention on Alex.
"I don't remember. I just remember the people who were there at the party. Everyone was enjoying themselves the best they knew how, and that creepy guy...Sylas...he passed me at one point and then I just... got angry after seeing Mason enter the closet with Andy. That's all I know."
Sylas's name caught Iliana's attention. Before she could think about it, Alex continued.
"Lets just face it... It was my fault. All of it is. I hope you find peace with yourself soon..."
Alex began to walk away, then stopped. She turned to Iliana, looking a little hesitant.
"Thank you.... for, you know... trying to help."
Iliana felt her defeated nature, a feeling she knew all too well. At least Alex hadn't been tortured like her, but any more drama and she might lose herself completely. The girl needed a break, that was for sure. As much as Iliana wanted to follow her, she knew when someone needed to be alone and the 2 were still strangers. Plus her attention was quickly diverted to Sloane's outburst. Spinning around, Iliana watch her shout at the big muscle guy.
"I didn't make myself the victim. You did!"
Puzzled, Iliana started listening in earnest.
"I wasn't scared until you came crashing into my life! Because now, I don't have it under control. It isn't about me anymore. You brought yourself into this mess... Along with your sister, Wes, even Andy. Every single person you've opened your big mouth too is now in danger because you put your nose somewhere it didn't belong."
Her words and anger penetrated Iliana's heart like spear, she felt the underlying fear too. Was she . . . talking about Sylas? Iliana tried to focus on just the words, while battling her own emotions, which were starting to rise again.
"I bore his anger so no one else would have to!"
With those words she caused the guy to tumble over before saying she wasn't a victim or weak. The angry woman walked away then, saying not to follow her. Iliana gasped and shuddered as she dropped to her knees, clasping her notebook to her chest. She was shaking and taking deep breaths as the wind picked up a bit. It took her several minutes, but the breathing helped her calm down, but now she was exhausted. She didn't even realize the big guy had left for when she looks up she only saw Wes and Trinity. The wind was still blowing, but it had calmed down slightly. Iliana got up and walked towards Trinity. Writing something down, she showed it to Trinity.
~Was she talking about Sylas? Has he hurt her? I did see that Sylas was hurt the other day. Did that big guy who was here do that to him, because Sylas hurt his sister? That big guy is your brother right? Sorry, what's his name?~
She didn't mean to ask so many questions, but she had so many of them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Koa was right behind Nelly as she greeted Daniel. He asked her new companion about her name. It definitely sounded like an islander name. Soon Daniel introduced himself as one of Hecate's kids. That had to have some perks. Suddenly Daniel asked if she and Koa were twins. Nelly burst out in laughter.

"What gave you that idea?! We look nothing alike! It would be cool if we were related though. I know my father isn't the 'steady' types when it comes to relationships, but neither is my mom. My mom loves her independence too much. My parents are on good terms though, so that's good. I actually never met my father or knew of my divine half until I was 10 right after I discovered I had a nut allergy. I have to tell you it was a relief to know why I was so fast or have a perfect visual memory."

Daniel then asked her about last night.

"I had a great time, despite how it ended. I don't think I did so well with that game though. I never played it before. It got pretty awkward between Sylas and I hehe. What was the purpose of it? I know you and Cherise were in there and ya'll looked pretty happy exiting. Maybe you can explain to me what was suppose to happen?"

Nelly laughed again when he asked if she had been to prison. She knew her father was called the God of Thieves from the time he 'borrowed' Apollo's herd.

"Not quite, but I have gotten speeding tickets hehe. I have a way of getting into trouble though. My mom says my middle name should have been Trouble hehe."

She was really enjoying Daniel's company, so much so she didn't pay attention to when others came into the hall. So when Daniel asked if they like to be training buddies, Nelly leaped at it.

"I don't know if I have friends yet since I just got here, but yeah I'd love to train with you. How often do they train us here?"

Ethan and Heath watched others in the Hall. Evelyn was by herself and didn't look like she wanted company. Nelly and some new girl were talking with Daniel. The two of them ate in companionable silence and soon were done. It was at this time that Daniel talked with Evelyn before leaving the hall entirely. It wasn't long after that that Evelyn left.

"I wonder where everyone else is?"

"Who knows, probably doing their own thing. I don't want to know where Lia is though."

"Why don't you go look for her then? You have that locator stone."

"What about you?"

"Me? I am going to stay here and meet the new person. I'll catch up with you at some point okay?"

Heath nodded and taking his dirty dishes, left his friend to his own exploits before taking the dishes to the back and then left. Ethan soon cleaned up his area before coming over to Nelly and the new girl.

"Morning Nelly! Who's the new girl?"

Nelly was a bit surprised by Ethan but quickly bounced back, "Oh hey Ethan! This is . . . . . Kohana, right?"

That last part had been directed at Kohana. Nelly was glad to see Ethan. Of course she saw him and Heath come in but was too busy with Kohana and Daniel. It was then she remembered Daniel said training would start in 5 minutes.

"OMG! I totally forgot that Daniel wanted to train soon! I better take my camera back to my cabin so it doesn't get damaged! I'll be back soon okay? Let Daniel know that when he shows up."

With that, Nelly took off jogging, leaving her dirty dishes behind. Ethan looked perplexed. Training? Looking at the other girl, Ethan decided to introduce himself.

"Hi, I am Ethan. I am Hestia's son. There's going to be training soon? I take it you just got in? My companions and myself just got in a few days ago," Ethan said as he casually sat down in front of the demigoddess.

And what a crazy few days it's been.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Iliana was trying her best to find her brother and Ethan. She did end up checking their cabin first just to be sure. They hadn't been there. The next place to check out was the Hall. As she left their cabin, her thoughts once again drifted back to what just happened. Ares had said the Valises were going to Olympus for a bit. Why was the question. Maybe it had something to do what happened last night? Iliana wished she been able to do something about that situation, but it was all said and done. Iliana then thought about the incident she had just witness between Ajax, Mason, and Andy. She really ought to check on Mason and Andy at some point. But for now she would try to find Heath and Ethan and let them know what she saw this morning for they were bound to ask what she'd been up to.
Iliana's thoughts were dashed though when she came closer to the beach and saw a figure coming out of the water.
Now what was happening? Coming closer, she saw it was none other then Poseidon. She stopped where she stood, so she couldn't hear was was being said.
~I seem to be getting into the habit of stumbling upon situations. How am I suppose to avoid things that are none of my concern if stuff like this keeps happening?~ she thought to herself.
Iliana herself had only a few interactions with sea god. He was definitely the mysterious type. Soon the god left and Iliana soon saw he had been interacting with Liv. Iliana remembered her from the trial. Taking a better look, she saw someone else was there. Curiosity getting the better of her, Iliana walked up to see Duke on the ground with his head on Liv's lap. Concerned, Iliana sat on the sand next to the pair. Looking at Liv, she quickly wrote something down and showed it to Liv.
~Is everything okay? Hi, I am Iliana and I can't speak so this is how I communicate. You're Liv, Poseidon's daughter right? I remember you speaking up during Alex's trial. Did Duke get hurt?~
No one was more relieved than Iliana when Duke woke up. She sighed in relief when he got up before helping Liv up. She was surprised though when he offered his hand to her though. Feeling awkward, she reluctantly placed her hand in his and allowed him to help her to her feet. It was then she noticed she had gotten sand on her clothes. Well this was just great, but her desire to see if Duke was okay overridden any other thought at the time. Soon Duke addressed Liv. They seemed to be doing something prior to her arriving. Iliana would be lying if she didn't admit she was curious to what they had been doing, but remembering Wes's words, she decided to stay out of their business. She did listen to Duke's next words though.
"I think you have amazing potential. Good application and good understanding of your powers.... I'd venture a guess you know that too somewhere. It's just about how and when you use them."
Duke had turned to look at her when he said that last part. Was he talking to her too? She so did not have a good understanding of her powers. She was hoping that here she would learn how because as long as she was an emotional wreck, she would never gain complete control of them. Iliana couldn't help but give Duke a look of doubt.
His next words perplexed her. Tagged team? What did he mean? She didn't even realize that Liv finally spoken up. Her thoughts stopped though when he said he was also going to Mount Olympus. Ares had still been there when Iliana left him. Was he waiting for Duke? That made sense. Duke said one last thing about sharks and then left. Liv's next words startled her.
"There won't be a next time," she said before turning the other way. As she walked past her, Iliana heard her say, "You stay away, too, if you know what's good for you."
Her words dug deep. She meant it. Iliana shuddered in fear as she watched the demigoddess leave the beach. Alone again. It was a relief honestly. Gave her time to think.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Heath had found the stone he used to find his sister with. He still remembered when he got it from his mother. Both Hephaestus and Hecate had worked on this one. It was more for Heath's peace of mind then anything else. Now the two would be working on a talisman to help block others' emotions from affecting Iliana. It wouldn't be able to help her control her powers since she had to learn how to do that. He paid close attention to his surroundings as he found himself heading towards the beach. He saw Liv as he walked and would have stopped her, but she looked like she wasn't in the mood for conversation. Instead, he continued on his own mission and soon found Iliana at the beach.

"Lia!" he called out, relieved to see her.

Iliana looked up to see Heath. Her eyes lit up and she waved before going up to him. Heath wasted no time in asking what she'd been up to and Iliana told him all that she saw. By the time she was done, Heath's head was reeling. It was a lot to take in. What struck him the most though was that the Valises and Duke had gone to Olympus. Based on last night's actions, it wouldn't surprise Heath if the siblings needed a break from camp, especially with Ajax nailing Mason. Those two definitely had a history and a non-friendly one. But then again they had already been at camp longer then most. Heath wouldn't be surprised if there was going to be another confrontation when the Valises returned.

Iliana could see her brother was thinking and decided to say something. Getting his attention. She wrote in her notebook and showed it to him.

~Heath, Wes told me we really shouldn't get involve in things that aren't none of our business. I think he's right. I know you and Ethan are worried about Sylas, and I am too, but I think until something does happen that involves any of us, we should just focus on why we're here. I am dreading it, but I do need to work on my powers. I don't want mom or you to have to keeping worrying about me.~

Heath looked at his sister in surprise. Thinking about it, she was right. Heath had become concerned about Sylas only because he was worried of what the man was capable of. He totally forgot that he was here to work on his own abilities, besides to help Iliana. His mother once scolded him for taking on too many responsibilities.

"Everyone is in charge of their own decisions in life Heath. You just focus on the things only you can control."

Looked like he still hadn't learned that lesson. Looking, at Iliana, he said, "You're right, sis. Come on, let's go back to the Main Hall. Ethan is still there with a new arrival."

Nodding, Iliana walked along with him as they headed back to the Main Hall.

After Heath and Iliana returned to the Main Hall, they found Ethan to still be conversing with the new arrival. Soon the trio left and Heath got Ethan caught up on recent events and mentioned how they shouldn't get involved in matters that don't involve them.

"Yeah you're probably right, but it's only a matter of time before we do get involved in something. If we're going to be training and interacting with others, it's bound to happen. So the Valises and Duke have gone to Olympus huh? Here's a question, do we let anyone else know?"

"Not unless we're asked. Everyone else is bound to find out eventually when they notice they're not around."

"Who's not around? Nelly asked as she suddenly appeared behind Heath and Ethan.

Ethan freaked out a bit, causing Nelly to laugh and even Heath chucked. Iliana's eyes lit up a bit too.

"Awww did I scare you? My bad!"

"Yeah, thanks for scaring 20 years off me . . . ." Ethan grumbled.

"So who's not around?"

Heath and Ethan looked at each other. Nelly was nice enough, but she was also the talkative type. It wouldn't surprise them of the daughter of Hermes told others. Still, Heath did say they would tell anyone if they were asked. Iliana saw that the boys looked torn and decided to answer Nelly herself for she didn't see how telling Nelly could do any harm. Nelly was waiting for they group to answer her when Iliana came up and showed her the notebook she always carried.

~The Valises and Duke have gone to Olympus for a bit. I ran into Ares in front of the Valises' cabin and saw them leave and he told me. I ran into Duke and he said he was going too.~

"So that's it? Not a big deal to me. I am a little envious though, I've never been to Olympus.'

"That's right, you missed Alex's trial. I am sure you'll get your chance eventually," Ethan comforted.

"Yeah, well for now I am off to train with Daniel. Any of you want to join me?"

"Eh, Heath and I just ate, so it's probably not a good idea. Did you want to go with her, Iliana?

~Well, I am not dressed for it. Can I just watch for now?~

"Sure! Come on, let's go!" Nelly shouted before grabbing Iliana's spare hand and hauling her off to find Daniel.

However in the end, Nelly never got to train for when she and Iliana found Daniel, he was too busy interacting with Cherise. Nelly would have interrupted them, but Iliana convinced her not too since it seemed the two were having an in depth discussion. The girls ended up parting ways from there for Nelly wanted to get a good run in and Iliana wasn't up for that. So for the rest of the day, everyone did their own thing and Iliana was relieved that the day was pretty normal. Well, unless you counted the time after lunch when Hestia showed up unexpectedly to work with Ethan. She had also let them know that Iliana's new pendant would be done soon. So Hestia worked with Ethan for a couple of hours, trying to help him with with his food manipulation skill since he still needed to work on it. It ended up as a mess in the Main Hall's kitchen area, but it was a good laugh. Overall it was a good day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It turned out to be a good night too since Iliana didn't have another nightmare. As usual, she was the first to wake up, only this time, Heath had waken up not long after her. He saw her in her gardening gear.
"Anything ready to be harvested yet?"
~Yes, in the orchard, the olives and peaches have started ripening so I am going to start picking them and give them to the kitchen staff at the main hall. I'll try to get some work out in sometime after before lunch. I'll see you two later.~
With a basket in hand, Iliana left the cabin. Heath grinned and started getting ready for his own workout. Ethan soon woke up himself and the pair fell into rhythm and soon did their morning jog.
In the meantime, Iliana had managed to get a basket full of peaches and olives, with the olives on top of the peaches. It was a bit heavy, but Iliana could manage. Walking towards the main hall, she soon saw Wes. She knew she couldn't interact with him now with her arms full, so she just merely nodded to him as she passed by. So she just walked into the back entrance of the main hall and dropped her load off in the kitchen. Figuring she'd eat now, she went to the front to get breakfast before sitting down.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nelly woke up with a groan. Yesterday had been pretty boring by her terms, so she hoped today something interesting would happen. Oh, she didn't want drama, but she had to find her own means of entertainment yesterday and there was only so much one could do in one location. Maybe today she would check out the forest and cliff areas. That meant getting out of bed and getting some breakfast first. She wasn't in the mood for a workout right now. With a sigh, she got up and got ready for the day.

After leaving her cabin, it wasn't long she came across someone she'd yet to really interact with. Probably because she'd seen him around that one blonde who intimidated her. Looks like he had the same direction in mind, the main hall. Perfect! Coming upon the man, Nelly made sure he saw her before addressing him.

"Hi there! I don't think we've met yet right? My name is Penelope, but I prefer Nelly. I am Hermes's daughter. Might I ask for your name and who your divine parent is?" she asked enthusiastically.
