Introduction

Image

Your whole life you've lived in secrecy, keeping your true existance hidden from everyone but your family. In modern society, you've had to do your best to fit in, and be accepted as a normal person. However, you're not a normal person.. You are a creature that has remained unknown. Some believe in your existance, others do not. And although you feel alone, you're soon to discover how wrong you are.

Saturday morning, 9th of April, you find a letter addressed to you. When you open it, you are shocked at what it reads...

Dear Recipient

We have been watching you for a long time, and we know exactly what you are. Don't let this worry you, we're not a threat to you, and this letter should not be taken as such. We have invited you to attend the Darkened Light Academy, a place where your identity will not only stay safe, but also, you can meet others like you. You are not alone on this Earth, and we want you to know that. You are one of two thousand that has been selected for this great honour. Unfortunately, we are not able to give you a choice in this matter, as your true identity must remain a secret, and so if you do not co-operate, certain measures will be taken. We hope to see you soon.

Transport to the Academy will be provided at the local docks, Tomorrow at 7:00AM.

Yours Faithfully
The Government

The next morning, you arrive at the dock on time, and see almost a hundred people around your age boarding a large ship. You guess this must be happening all over the world, as not all two thousand people could have been this local to you. You board the ship, and begin your journey.. to the Island of Light..

The Story
Welcome to the Darkened Light Academy Roleplay. Although, as I already confessed to knowing, highschool roleplays are badly overdone, I still think that they are liked by a lot of people, and I thought I could put my own twist into one. The story of this roleplay, is that you are not a normal Human, meaning you can be any mythical or fabled creaturem or have some sort of power. However, you have been living in modern society, so make sure you will have had an excuse for being slightly odd in appearance if needs be. The Government has more or less forced you to attend an academy on an island named the 'Island of Light', and everyone has their own opinion on why.

The true reason, however, is that secretly the Government wants to pick out a select few students, and make them into an special forces branch for the army, watching and analysing every student carefully. This won't play a huge part straight away however, so for now, just think of it as a school roleplay with the chance to be something weird and/or wonderful!

April 11th, 2011 (Day 1) - 6:00AM - Island of Light

As the last of the ships arrive at the Island of Light docks, the sun is just begining to rise over the sea, and the beautiful landscape of the island is breathtaking. The dock is filled with hundreds of people, and the atmosphere is full of exitement and giddyness. The students are not alone, a group of people who look like the FBI agents you see in some crime drama are scattered around the nearby area, watching over the arrivals. No one is able to see the Academy from here, as a slight upward slope severes the line of sight from the docks. The island has a city just infront of the campus, filled with shops and places to eat. This rests just before the campus, and behind the campus, is a large forested area. Boys and Girls dorms are in place in the campus also.

Back at the docks, a well built man, looking almost as if he has fought wars everyday of his life steps up on a piece of staging, carrying a bullhorn in his hand. "OK! Quieten Down!" the mans voice is rough and sharp like broken glass, his words filled with intimidation. "You can all consider this your assembly.. First off, Rules." The man paces the surface of the staging and looks over the hundreds of faces that stare back. "One, You will be out of the city and in the campus by 12o'clock if your under 18.. anyone caught breaking this rule, will be dealt with. Two, you are responsible for your powers and abilities.. If you use them abusively, we will take action. Three, do not attack any of the staff for any reason, we will take this very seriously.. And finally, we do not allow the use of narcotics.. If you are found out, you will be dealt with seriously." The man glares out over the faces once again.

"Now.. There are two boys dorms, and two girls dorms.. The boys dorms are B1 and B2, and the girls are G1 and G2. You will all be given a room number that will look something like this," The man points at a large sign behind him that reads, "64-G2" and continues to speak. "This will direct you to your dorms. Chances are you will have a room mate.. try to get on with them. If you cannot get on with your room mate for any reason.. Deal with it." The man looks at his watch before looking back to the crowd. "You lesson timetables will be given to you tomorrow.. So spend today exploaring and finding your feet.. You will now all be given a map of the Island. The zones that are marked in red are prohibited, and if you try to go there for fun, our armed watch towers might see you as a threat..." the crowd stiffens for a moment, looking at one another. "Ok.. Now go. Collect your room numbers and maps at the gate, and don't worry about your luggage, it will be moved to your room by our staff."

The man leave the stage and disappears into a nearby building, leaving the students to begin their lives on the Island of Light.

Chloe's eyes grew wide at the man's words. She didn't care about the rules he spoke of. To her they were nothing, like flies batting at a dragon. Instead her mind began to tick with the idea of rooms, room numbers more specifically. A roommate she could deal with. Chloe was a nice person by nature and would make the most of an situation, she'd "deal with it" but having an odd numbered dorm would screw her over for the entire school year. The rest of what the beefy man said rolled right off of Chloe. She stopped listened after the idea of an odd numbered dorm came into her mind. "use of narcotics." Chloe's head snapped up at these words. Did he just ban drugs or encourage them? Chloe shook her head at this thought. He couldn't have possibly encouraged them, that would be ludicrous.

As the man walked off the stage Chloe made her move. "Excuse me." She mumbled darting through people, making her way towards the front of the room. "Sorry, excuse me." She said again accidentally bumping into someone. "Pardon me, désolé, scusa, sentimos, gomen." The apologies came out in four other languages than English. Not that she new anything other than a bit of French and English. She just didn't want to offend anyone who might not speak English. Pupils dilated in her green eyes she stopped in front of one of the staff members. Head down, a little out of breath, Chloe felt like she was placing the last nail in her coffin with her words. "Excuse me, but could you tell me my dorm number? My name is Chloe L. Gardner." She didn't ask about who her roommate was, or if she even had one. Just the room number.

"You seem a little antsy Chloe." The staff member said and began to flick down a list of names reading them off silently before stopping at Chloe's name. "Ah here you are. You will be in room number 18-G1. Can you remember that?" Chloe nodded, all of her worry pushing out at once. Had anyone been watching they would have seen Chloe's shoulders drop in happiness. Pulling on a big smile Chloe thanked the staff member and walked away. She would now be able to breathe easily, not to mention actually take in her surroundings.

"Well, there is more people here than I expected." She commented to herself, a big smile still on her face. She had an even number.

Why did i even agree to come here this is the most stupidest idea the goverment has ever had.If i get a room-mate im going to go insne because i cant stand people in my room.I went to go get my room key and map,i decided for today im just gonna relax and pretend im not even in this school, there must be a park around here somewhere and if there isnt i think i will pretty much die of no peace and quiet.I walked around the campus and found a small park area "well this must be it" so i went to go sit on the bench and relax until i decide to leave and explore more of the building, finally i found a bench to sit on and i just sat on the bench enjoying the sun while it last,i wondered if my room was big or small.

Aaron walked down the crowded dock that led onto the Island of Light. He had kept quiet the whole way here despite everyone else's chattering and yelling. This place was so packed, tons of teenagers running around, and government agents lined down the borders of the island. That sure made Aaron feel like he was wanted. Government agents lined the island, making sure none of them left back to the outside world, because they were all freaks. Aaron always thought that to himself and knew the people back at home thought that, but he had hoped that once he got to this new school, he'd be understood, and people would get who he is. So far, it didn't seem like that was going to happen. He bumped into the back of another kid and realized that they had all gathered to listen to someone. "Sorry," he said quietly. He looked up and saw the large man beginning to speak.

He explained their rooms and rules. They had a curfew? That didn't work for Aaron. For god sakes, he was a werewolf. If they really expected him to stay in campus while he was in werewolf form, they had another thing coming. Aaron turned eighteen in two weeks, but that wasn't soon enough. He'd have to break the rules for a little bit. Maybe there were other werewolves that could help out when he asked to break curfew.

Aaron walked up to one of the staff after the large man finished talking. "Aaron Sheeder," he said to the man in front of him, holding a clipboard with all their names on it. The man found it after a minute and then handed him a card.

"94-B2," said the man with a monotone voice.

"Thanks," said Aaron. He rolled his eyes at the man's sort of pissed-off voice. Aaron walked forward through the crowd, until he was finally free to walk without having to move out of the way of somebody. He decided he'd head to his room instead of roaming around town. He had to unpack anyways, so he could go into town later. Hopefully his roommate was alright, and just as weird as Aaron.

Rocky stood at the docks with her arms crossed. Were they boarding a ship? There were hundreds of teens her age around. She uncrossed her arms and got on her bike. Parting the crowd and moving towards the nearest official or whatever there names are. "Rocky Ford" The woman looked down on her clipboard flipping pages and muttering "Rocky Ford, Ford Rocky." She stopped flipping and adjusted her glasses in saying "I'm sorry Mr. Ford, but…" Rocky sneered and said "Then just look up Rochelle Ford." The woman merely glanced down and said "Room 18-G1. NEXT!" Since so far no one had said anything about her bike she left it outside and glared around warning anyone that thus was her bike. Grabbing her bag she walked to her room.

Surma stood at the back of the large crowd looking up at the muscular man, listning to the rules and information he was giving out. He blinked and turned around silently, walking up to one of the staff members that wasn't being crowded by other students and spoke in a plain voice. "Armastus.." the man look at him and then down at the list he was holding in his hand, "Here you are.. Surma Armastus.. Room 91-B2.. Here's your Cardkey, don't lose it please.." Surma took the card and looked at it, looking back at the man and nodded, "Cheers.." his British accent clear in his calm voice. He didn't hesitate to leave the docks and make his way towards the campus, which seemed to be a good fifteen minute walk. On each side he could see the sea a small distance away. The thought of having a room mate crossed Surma's mind, but he disregarded it.

Walking through town, Surma saw many things that caught his eye. There were shops everywhere, music shops, food places, this place seemed to have everything. He didn't let himself get distracted though, he would need to unpack before he did anything else. Surma slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out a cigarette and his solid silver zippo lighter, lighting it up quietly and taking a drag. Smoking was one of his only comforts in life, and even though he'd constantly have people preaching to him about how it was bad for him, he couldn't care less. He let out a small whispy breath that released the smoke, sighing as he continued to walk up the street, before he was confronted with a road that was quite steep.

Surma didn't think about it, and simply walked up, shocked at what he saw at the top. The campus was huge, and must have covered a large part of the island. The building itself looked amazing, beautifully build and welcoming. He entered the building and followed the signs to the dorms, hoping he wouldn't get lost along the way. I hope it's in here.. If they broke it I swear.. Surma thought to himself as he reached his dorm room, and ran the card through the wall panel. Trust the government to be all fancy and high tech.. he stepped into his room, seeing immidiately two beds, one of which a guitar case was propped against. Surma grinned and opened it up, seeing his beautifully polished black and red guitar, sitting intact. "Well.. Welcome home Surma.."

Pulling her long fingers through her hair Chloe sighed and made her way through the crowd. So many people were busy getting to know others, half of them didn't bother to find out which room they would be in. To Chloe they were sad saps. You had to square away the important things before you could move on to little ones such as acquaintances. Chloe loved to be around people, she craved it in fact, when left alone to long she had a tendency to get mopey and depressed but she could do an entire school year without having any real friends. After all most of her best work was done when she was alone. Not everyone understood her flippant ideas that she sometimes had. In that sense, it was best to work alone.

Slipping out one of the side doors Chloe looked around. She had a map of the landscape yes, but she was terrible at reading maps. Sometimes it was best just to do things the natural way. Chloe by all means refused to get herself lost, so with a kind smile she stepped up to the nearest tree. "I need some help, anyone care to do that?" Chloe asked softly her eyes raking through the leaves of the tree to find what she was looking for. Within moments a fuzzy head popped up amongst all the bark. A pair of brown eyes staring at Chloe in awe. Most of the time she got this reaction, not all animals realized that some people could talk to them. Then again who could blame them, it wasn't everyday that an elf walked up to a squirrel and began a conversation. "Aren't you a cute little guy?" Chloe asked as the squirrel shimmied down the tree further to get a closer look at her. "Want to help me find the dorms? Where all the people sleep?" She asked him.

Humming happily to herself, with the squirrel who wouldn't stop talking and lavishing over her on her shoulder, Chloe made her way towards the dorms. A few people, nameless faces she didn't take notice of, passed by her on her way. The grounds certainly are lovely. I can already see myself spending more time outside than anything. Maybe I can even do my homework outside, under the shade of a lovely tree. Chloe smiled at her own thoughts. The blatherings of the squirrel were like mindless echos in her ear. Stopping up short in front of the building Chloe looked at the squirrel. "Thank you for bringing me here. I need to go in alone but make sure to come and visit real soon." Chloe said and let the squirrel drop from her shoulder.

With the number 18 imprinted into her mind, and a Cardkey in her hand Chloe walked up to her room. She didn't expect to find anyone in there but, stranger things had happened to her. Her only thoughts at the moment were on her Itouch, and how much she wanted to get back outside to scamper up in some trees whilst listening to a steady beat in her ear.

Keran smiled lightly as he looked over the hundreds upon hundreds of people in the area. He couldn’t wait to find someone to talk to, or better yet, his roommate. Whilst the large man giving the instructions spoke he pushed and shoved passed the crowd, whispering to himself as he did so. “And I thought Mum made up those figures on how many people there are in the world...Guess I was wrong.”

After finally pushing through the crowd he looked over a scrawny man with rather peculiar glasses. Keran spoke with quite a loud and proud tone of voice. “Hey the names Keran Angelsmith. Do you happen to know where the dorms are, or where I can find my roommate?” The man looked down at his clip board and flicked through the pages of names. He pushed his glasses back up as he looked over the corresponding page. “Kevin, Kat-Man...Ah! Here you are Keran. You will be in room 91-B2. As for your roommate I am guessing he will be in the dorm packing up, or still in the crowd and searching around for someone like me to allocate him too his dorm.” The man passed over a key card over too Keran with his pale white hands. “This will give you access to the dorm.”

Keran simply nodded along after hearing which room he was in, that is until the key card was passed his way. He looked down to it and grabbed it slowly before looking back to the man and nodding, even though he had no clue what he was going to do with it. He slowly walked away with his sheathed sword placed behind him as he walked away. He had to hide it so they didn’t remove it from him. He snickered lightly as he walked away from the area where the men and women seemed to love to be around.

As he walked upon the path he looked around the surrounding area, simply amazed at the sight of the island, he slowly bit his lower lip, unable to contain his excitement he let out a small yell of joy before striding off, that is until he smacked his head against something hard, not looking forwards at the time. Slowly he placed his hand to his head and let out a small moan. His eyes reached the object that hit him soon enough. It was that of a cross road indicator, with pointers at either side of the wooden post, the metallic painting upon the wooden post formed words.

Keran slowly muttered such words. “Market, Boys dorm one, Boys dorm...” And without another word he ran off in the direction of ‘Boys dorm two’. He couldn’t wait to meet his roommate in fact he was overjoyed by the sure pleasure. As he reached the area he attempted to open the door, however the door would not budge. He slowly looked at his key card and looked at the key card slot, knowing what to do now. He did what he assumed was right, this was smashing his body against the door with blatant disregard for anyone nearby.

Surma had just finished unpacking his suitcase when he heard a stupidly loud smash behind him. His first thought was that the government agents were coming to kill him, knowing that him being a Demon was a big threat. Surma reached into his pocket and pulled out a small blade with tribal markings on it, hiding it behind his back and making his way to the door. Carefully he opened the door and saw a guy with a keycard stood before him, looking rather confused as to what he was doing. "Um.. What are you doing? Did you just throw yourself into my door?" Surma looked at him curiously, keeping a firm grip on the blade.

Watching the boy, Surma let his eyes analyse him, taking in his appearance and presence. He seemed like a happy sort of guy, yet maybe a little slow, though this was only based upon the fact that he'd just thrown himself randomly into a door. "Are.. you my room mate?" Surma raised an eyebrow and watched the boys reaction, taking a moment to collect himself and slip the blade back into his pocket. "I'm Surma Armastus, nice to meet you.. And that's a card reader.. you do this see?" Surma swiped his card through it as an example, then moved out of the doorway so that he could enter. "I guess we're gunna be room mates for the next year.. So I just wanna get a few things straight.. See this..?" He pointed at a 'No Smoking' sign on the wall, then ripped it off, "I really like smoking.. in fact it's all I like. So if you can deal with that, I'll be able to deal with any weird things you might do or like ok?" Surma rubbed his chin before opening the window that was on the wall between their beds, "And I like the cold.. so the combination will be good. Open window and Smoking. I hope you don't have any problems with this.. because if you do, we're probably just gunna get off to a bad start, and I don't think either of us want that.. right?"

Surma walked to the door and pushed it shut, turning to the boy and shrugging, "And you are?"

Keran looked over the door as it opened, taking note of the light creaking noise it made as it opened. He looked over the student infront of him and let out a small smile. He didn't really speak as he listened to Surma, letting him come to his own conclusions. He took special attention too Surma's eyes however, something about them gave him a small tingling sensation that slithered down his back at an annoyingly slow rate.

He eyes the boys hands as he showed him the key card and how to use it. Oh! Thats what the card is for, how silly of me. He nodded along as he listened to Surma's speach about smoking. "Well that will work great then. As long as none of that crap goes down my throat, we'll be fine." He eyed the windows as Surma opened them and he couldn't help but smile, it gave him a reason to be near a window if he came back from his flights.

As Surma spoke the words "And you are?" He stumbled over too him and lifted out a hand to shake with the boys. "My name is Keran, Keran Angelsmith." He nodded slowly and threw his sword to the bed, allowing it to lay there as he looked over Surma. He spoke in quite a warm manner now. "So Surma. Do you want to go out later, we would have a blast. How about it?" His eyes shifted over Surma's body as he looked over him, searching for any new mannerisms he would have to get used to whilst he lived with him.

Rocky set her army green duffel bag on one of the beds. She hoped her roommate wouldn't mind the animals that would be sleeping in their room. Already a stray cat seemed to have squeezed itself through the eves. The doorknob started to turn. Looking this way and that she hid the cat under her sweatshirt. Sending the feeling of calmness and sleepiness through their empathy link she willed the cat to be still.

Clare looked around, wings already hidden. It looked like a nice place, but looks aren't always truth. She looked at the number given to her. 50-G1. No one else found the system weird but her. She just shrugged it off. She walked to her room, ignoring everything around her and just observing her surroundings. It was going to be hard to live here, being no deep woods around, but all well. Clare gets to her room, finding it empty at the moment, with plain white walls and two beds. Roommate. It really was, going to be difficult to live here. She hoped her roommate was nice, and was not mean about differences, like wings. Sure bat like wings were abnormal, but so what? She sighs and sets her black suitcase down on a bed by a window, and throws her backpack across the room.

"Good morning!" Chloe called before she had even opened the door. She could sense the presence of someone in the room. "I'm not sure cat's really liked to be stuffed in shirts though." She added as she stepped in the room and shut the door behind her. "You've taken that bed I see. That's fine, I prefer to be on the right side of the room anyway. Probably has something to do with my OCD." Chloe gave a shrug as if it were nothing and lifted her things up off the floor on to her bed. "My name is Chloe by the way. You don't have to tell me yours if you don't want to. I'm sure I'll find it out sooner or later." She told the girl a cheery smile still on her face.

Unzipping her bag she began to rifle through it. "Not to overload you with information or anything, but why exactly did you put that cat under your sweat shirt? I'm not allergic to them if that's what you were wondering. In fact I can talk to them, part of being an elf. Listen to me ramble, really I do talk to me." Pulling out her Itouch Chloe smirked. She felt accomplished in finding the electronic. It the most updated piece of equipment, but it was 32 gigs, and Chloe really only used it to listen to music so it served it's purpose. Perching on the edge of her bed Chloe also pulled out a box of Cheezits. Opening them she took a few and popped them into her mouth before looking up at the girl expectedly. Her green eyes were happy and innocent, waiting for some information to be shared with her.

Autumn edged her way to the front of the crowd. The staff member looked up at her, a smile on his face as he tried to get her to relax.

"Uhh, hi. I-I'm Autumn Locke." She gave a scared smile.

The staff member checked down the list until he came across her name, he looked back up at her. "You're in room 13-G1. Here is your cardkey, keep it safe." She took the cardkey and nodded her thanks.

She picked up her suitcase and slowly walked to the campus, taking in the beautiful surrounding area as she did. After a while of walking, she reached her dorm building and hurridly went inside. Glancing about, she saw that no one seemed to be in the corridor, she sighed with relief, no one to talk to straight away. She reached her door and swiped the cardkey, the door unlocked and she pushed it open. Walking inside, she closed the door behind her. Seeing that no one was in there, she placed her suitcase on one of the beds and swiftly started unpacking.

Once she was done, she pushed the empty suitcase under her bed and sat on top of the covers with her notebook and pen. She flick through the pages until she got to the one she was working on. Chewing on the pen for a few minutes before inspiration hit her and she started to scribble down ideas. Her writing was neat and curvy even though she was writing quickly. Every so often, she stopped to look at the door, wondering when her room mate would arrive, that was, if she even had one.

Nuriel finally arrived to the front of the crowd, and pulled out the invite. The man looked at him with analytic eyes. He looked at his backwards cap, and moved down to his american parkour tee, and his diagonally slung backpack. His grey APK sweats and his white and blue k-swisses. Though he had run here he had not broken a sweat, his years of conditioning, and his racial advantage had gotten him used to running across cities before he started to break a sweat.
"Nuriel Gonzales, Nephilim?" asked the man.
"It's Noo-Ree-ell, not nyu-reel., and yes."Said Nuriel. the man grunted and gave him his card key.
He accepted the key and walked up the brigde. He followed until he reached his room, 13-G2. He opened the door and saw no one inside. he dropped his backpak on the floor and picked his bed.
lets see who else is lucky enough to get chosen for this. he thought to himself.
He walked to the adjoining door that connected him to the room next door, 13-G1.
He lifted his hand and knocked the door.

Surma shook Kerans hand and nodded, "Maybe later on, for now I'm gunna go out and take a look around." He picked up his guitar case slowly and left the room. "If you get any food stuff in, save me some.." Surma spoke as he left and made his way through the corridors of the school, taking in the small details that interested him. Everyone seemed to be smiling, it was almost strange, but Surma simply dispelled the thought and made his way outside. The sun was now just about risen, and it made the island look so peaceful, something that didn't usually interest Surma, but this place seemed to take him unlike many others. He walked silently along the grounds, letting his eyes dance across the nature that was vivid and alive all around him.

After a while, Surma saw a large oak tree, not to far away from the academy's entrance. There were a few benches nearby, but he walked to the tree and simply sat beneath it, taking out his guitar slowly and holding it in his hands, looking over it with a slight smile. "It's been a long time coming.." Surma spoke aloud as he took out his wallet and produced a small black pick, placing it between his fingers and slowly strumming the guitar. He closed his eyes softly as he began to play beautiful music that filled the air and began to relax his body. Surma stopped playing for a moment and began to play Wonderwall by Oasis, singing in his suprisingly well toned voice. "Today.. is gunna be the day that their gunna throw it back to you.. By now you should have somehow realised what ya gotta do.. I don't believe that anybody, feels the way I do.. About you know.."

Surma continued to play and sing, the sounds filling the atmosphere around him.

Clare sat for a moment, but got bored. She wandered outside and looked around campus. It was pretty big, plenty of room. And her prediction was wrong, there were woods, just not close. She faintly heard music far off, and turned her head in it's direction. It was pretty far away, and guitar it seemed. She loved music, so she went to go listen, hoping whoever was playing wouldn't see her and stop playing. After a moment, she sees a boy playing by an oak tree and smiles. Getting as close as she can before she would be heard clearly, she sat down criss cross on some grass and listened.

Keran nodded as he listened to Surma, though he didn't say a word, his eyes simply trailed Surma until he left the room. Slowly his eyes would return to his case that concealed all his clothes, slowly opening it up he would proceed to pack away his clothes in any sort of order really, Keran didn't really mind where he placed his clothes, they could all be on the floor and he wouldn't mind, as long as he knew where everything was. Although he knew this was a bad way to start his way at the Academy so he packed up, in a strange order of socks being with shirts and trousers being with jumpers.

After he had finished his packing he stared out at the window, just gazing for a while before biting his lip and shaking his head slowly, he so desperately wanted to use his wings, to fly. The only time Keran felt truly free was when he was in mid-flight, he simply loved the feeling of air flowing with his wings and giving him the strength to choose which direction he could. Slowly he steps away from the window and moves towards the door effectively exiting his dorm and closing the door behind him. He strides in a quick but indecisive manner, just wandering where ever his feet would take him at this point.

Eventually he would get to the town; the streets seemed to be filled with many people who were just bustling here and there, looking for the essentials for their new home. He suddenly had a new realization. How would they earn money to get the food they needed? Surely there were jobs around, but enough for thousands of people. Keran didn't buy it, there had to be some system or some way for them to earn what they needed, right? Slowly he sat down at a nearby bench. It was coiled with ornate patterns generally that of flowers. Slowly Keran slumped back into the bench and went off into his imagination.

"Excuse me, I feel the need to be outside." Chloe said to her roommate before they even got to exchange words. "Surely we will see each other again though, so we will have a chance to get better acquainted then." Chloe added and stood up. Putting her snacks away she pulled her hair up into a high pony tail, her bangs falling to frame her face, and inserted her ear buds in. Scrolling through her list of songs Chloe found the one she wanted, Every Me and Every You by Placebo and walked over to the window. Looking outside she scanned the area for trees that were thick enough to hold her up. Most of them were, which meant Chloe was in luck. Opening the door to their dorm she padded lightly down the hallway, going through the boys side of the dorm passing by a few people as she did.

Opening the window at the end of the hall Chloe stretched out, grabbing on to the branch of the nearest tree, a cherry tree, and swung herself up high into the tree. Leaves rustled slightly as she disturbed them, but other than that she made no noise. A few squirrels twittered near her scattering out for a moment before Chloe spoke to them, calming them down. A few feet away under a nearby tree Chloe saw a boy sitting and playing his guitar. She couldn't hear what he was singing for she was listening to her own music but she found it entertaining. A few feet off from him a girl sat and watched. A smile flickered across Chloe's face as she laid out flat on the branch, her arms crossed in front of her for her to rest her head on. She liked that other people here enjoyed nature as much as she did. Maybe not as much, but enough to willingly sit outside and bask in the sun. Amongst the pink of all the cherry blossoms her dark hair and green eyes stood out slightly, but Chloe wasn't worried about someone seeing her. What would they do? Make her get out of the tree? They'd have a heck of a time trying to do that.

50-G1. 50-G1. Corinne ran her room number over and over in her head. So this was it, she really was going to be living here in this silly academy place. She sighed. why her? She'd been perfectly content before and now she was just being forced into this. Of course the crappy government had left her no choice but to attend. 'if you do not co-operate, certain measures will be taken' the letter had read, Corinne had snickered when she'd seen it, so what was this? Comply or die? The letter had also said that they weren't a threat.. bullshit. Corinne was certain something was wrong. There had to be more to this than meeting others like herself, unless they were just keeping all the rats in the same cage. Her parents had always said they were freaks and should be kept away from everyone.

Corinne wandered amongst the crowds, her room couldn't be too hard to find. Corinne had lost her brother somewhere along the journey and she hadn't seen him at the assembly, still she figured she'd probably meet up with him again soon enough. Keran could take care of himself for a little while. She couldn't decide whether to take on her true form or not, her instincts told her to stay human around so many people because thats what she'd been used to but this was different they didn't have to worry about that here. Corinne could hear a guitar being played nearby and a male singing softly, familiar music... Oasis? She smiled to herself, nice to know some people were already settled. She eventually passed by the source of the music, a guy with black hair sitting under a tree by himself "Good music" Corinne called and waved. She turned away and focused her attention on finding her room. Once she'd found her room then maybe she could also indulge in music.

Aaron walked up the hill at a slow pace, because of the steepness of it. He thought to himself that he wished he was in werewolf form right now. If he was, he'd be up this hill in no time, without any heavy breathes afterwards. Then again, he'd also be eating students, so that wouldn't be too good. He could begin to see the top of the large monster of a building ahead which he was sure was the school. He wasn't exactly sure where the boys dorms were in this castle of a building, so he went through the front door to see if anyone could help him.

He walked torwards the front door and reached back to scratch the back of his head. Then he realized he didn't have his hood up. Aaron looked around nonchalantely to see if anyone could see him. He was safe. He pulled up the hood of his solid colored red hoodie over the back of his head to cover his scar that went up the back of his head, making a bald line up the back of his short hair. Aaron walked into the large front hallway and looked around for anyone. He saw a dark man over in the corner with shades over his eyes and dressed in a suit. Man, were these guys everywhere? Aaron almost didn't want to approach the mean looking man, but he did anyways because he wanted to get to his room and lay down.

Aaron moved torwards the man and asked, "Where's the boys dorm B2?"

The man kept quiet and it seemed like he was looking into Aaron's eyes, but he wasn't sure because of the shades. "Go down the hallway to your left until you get to the end, then there will be a list of which levels, which rooms are on." The man then looked away and began to stare forwards again.

"Thanks," said Aaron half-heartedly. These guys seriously needed to work on their attitudes. Aaron shouldn't have even came here. He could have kept hidden from the government. He already lived alone and roamed across America. He could've done it. He knew in the back of his head though that it probably wasn't true. He shook his head and moved down the hallway that went about another few hundred yards.

Surma had just finished singing the song when he heard a voice in front of him. "Good Music." The voice made him open his eyes and look up, seeing a girl not to far away. She waved to him, then turned and went on her way. "Thanks.." Surma muttered softly, almost to himself, before he looked at his guitar and sighed, placing it back into it case and closing it up, putting the pick back into his wallet and looking up at the sky. "Hopefully everyone here will be as friendly.. then I might not have to be such a.. Demon.." he stared silently ahead before lifting his hand and shifting his vision to it. He concentrated deeply and some of the shadows he was sat in crawled up his body and into his hand, where he concentrated harder, and began to shape it into a ball.

After a while, Surma had formed an orb of darkness in his palm, which he slowly brought his other hand over to cover it. He closed his eyes as some sort of transformation began in his hands, before he carefully opened them, and a small butterfly made of nothing but shadow spouted its wings, and started to flutter away out of his hand. Surma watched the butterfly as it flew out of the shade and into the sunlight. A small frown appeared on his face when it softly fizzled up in a small fiery burst. With another small, calculated sigh, Surma took out a cigarette and placed it in his lips, producing his lighter and ritualisticly lighting it up.

Surma had stood and began to walk away with his guitar, when he noticed a girl sitting on the grass, looking at him. He raised and eyebrow as he took a small drag of his cigarette, and looked over his shoulders, seeing no one else around him. Surma just awkwardly looked away, and began walking down the small pathway that wound around the campus it would seem. He had walked about ten minutes worth of distance in only five, and looked around at his surroundings. Surma slowly put out the last of his second cig and put it in a nearby bin, that was placed neatly next to an empty well made bench. He sat down and looked up at the sky for a moment, his head tilted back. Surma closed his eyes and thought about what he was going to do here, would he really manage to get by?

Clare saw the guy look at her and walk away. She knew he'd get mad at her for it, but all well. She stood up and ran to catch up. "Hey dude, wait, how did you do that. The butterfly thing. I've tried it before but what I try turns to dust." She was telling the truth. She could move and twist shadows, but nothing kept it's form more than a few seconds. She looked around seeing no one but him, and shyed away slightly. She didn't even know the guy. "Or you don't have to tell me. Sorry, I'm being nosey again."

Rocky just stared in wonderment as her roommate rambled on and then left. She removed the sweatshirt from the cat. "Well that went well. You don't mind if I sleep with you do you?" the cat gave a blink at her and a yawn. "I will take that as a yes, then." Rocky stretched and curled up. As she curled she changed into her cat form. Snuggling close to the cat she fell into a deep slumber.
