Setting

The HQ has multiple rooms everywhere and top-notch security. No one can pass without a breau ID, an a retina scanner. Each office for inspectors have hologramic walls and computers floating around for cases to be organized perfectly, and easily for inspectors and enforcers.

Typically, the inspector's desk is in the farthest left and right corner away from the door, since two inspectors share a room. Their enforcer's desk is in cubicles on the right and left side of the wall, seperate from each other.

Usually, the most common appliances in the room are coffee machines, laptops, holographic profiles of suspects, victims, and other people of interest.

Enforcers live on the bottom floor, where only inspectors or higher ups are allowed to go. The enforcers live in a studio type of room. The doors to the rooms have an automatic lock that locks after 10 PM once it senses the enforcer is inside. Enforcers are not allowed out of the building without their inspector.

Though there are extra rooms down there for inspectors staying over night.

Heheh, 'ride it out' heheheheheheheheh.

Had you asked this young man earlier today if he thought he was going to have a pen thrown much like a throwing knife at his head, then he might have said 'no'. Yet, here he was, sitting on the couch with a pen drilled just into the space of his seat right beside his head, a near miss. Takeru had not seen a pen as a lethal weapon since he had murdered an the CEO of the very first place he had ever infiltrated, which was many years ago.

So nostalgic... Well, I guess I shall entertain her now.

With a calm, disciplined air, the young man pressed off the couch and stood to his feet, looking directly at the young woman. He tiled his head to the right and it cracked. The same thing happened when he tilted it to the left. He locked his fingers together and pressed, a rather audible popping sound ringing through the air of the room only those two accompanied. "Alright!" he said, pumping himself up through his voice. "If you're so confident that you could do anything, then I will play with ya. I think... the safeword is 'Chihuahua', okay? Make sure you say that when you quit or I won't know if I'm being too harsh."

Takeru took a normal boxing stance and allowed Seiren a moment to get into her own.

She must be really mad about the short jokes. Aha... I guess I did get carried away there. Ah well, nothing a little roughhousing can't solve, right? I should have reach and strength over her. But unless she's Muhammad Ali, I doubt she'll be so quick I can't keep up. Yeah, I have this.

The next thing that left Takeru was his right arm, which rocketed directly towards the other Enforcer's doll-face with some pretty mean power behind it.

It was a scale. Geoff said nothing to dispute his enforcer's words, because she was completely in the right. Killers like him did it for the sheer thrill and nothing more. This art was simply a man stroking his own ego through the murder of innocent women. Had Geoff been an emotional man, he too would have been angry every time his name was brought up. But fortunately or unfortunately as it may be, he was not. He was a creature of thought and calculated responses. Anger would only serve to cloud his mind.

But there was a scale. While his enforcer was more than happy to let the killer rack up more kills before being caught, Geoff wanted the man taken in before any more lives were lost. When does the outcome outweigh the causalities? He wasn't just going to sit around and do nothing while waiting for him to make a mistake. Tera of all people knew how Geoff worked. He would hound this man just like he hounded her, and in the end, even he would be brought to justice. He just hoped he didn't end up an enforcer like Tera did.

However, Geoff was a practical man. If Akira Geruna wasn't caught, and he wasn't interrogated, then the Artist would strike again, if he hadn't already. That much was a given. He had no notions of trying to save everyone from this killer, even he wasn't that much of an idealist. The best he could hope for was save as many people as he could. And that started with finding this kid.

Kid. Akira was only eighteen. It was hard to remember that when reading over the crime reports. This boy had ruined his life for the Artist. What was he getting in return, Geoff wondered. What did the artist have over these people to make them commit these crimes? They had so many questions that they just didn't have answers to. Geoff took another drag of his cigarette and pushed his hair back again, eyes still leveled on the garbled image on the wall.

As he stared, the gears in his head started to whirr again. They had options now. It was a lot better than where they were moments ago. They had a lead, and they shouldn't squander it by sitting around and staring at each other doing nothing. Not when there's a chance they could capture Akira. They needed to do something. Inspector Itsuya had probably ordered security drones to the motel, but they were little match for a human mind of flesh and blood. Holding an inner debate with himself on his options, Geoff grew withdrawn for a couple of moments.

Finally deciding on something, Geoff turned toward Inspector Byakurai and Tera and spoke. "We should go," He said simply, turning back to his desk and pressing a series of buttons. The map to the motel took the place of the image, and next to it was it's wireframe. They should be there if Akira was to be captured, and if they only found another crime scene waiting instead... Well, they would already be there. Even if there was nothing, the boy could have left some kind of clue or evidence for them to find. Geoff saw no reason to stay in the office when something could be done there.

Shouichi allowed a happy smile to play on his face, yet his eyes were still hardened into a glare. As soon as this Geruna kid was caught, he'd have a lead. After that, he'd have a person..then a set guy to tear apart.

It'll work fine either way. If not, then they'd at least be able to get rid of another one of the Artist's contacts... but how much more did he have? Tens...maybe twenty more. There was so many holes that they didn't know, and it bothered him.

He gave a nod in agreement, before speaking. "I'll send him a notice we'll be going ahead of his team. That way he won't get too mad." He said, as he clicked on the silver band on his left wrist. A screen opened up, and in a series of buttons, the mail was sent quickly.

With that, the white haired inspector looked at the other two, before speaking out.

"I'll go down and get the car ready." With that said, he walked over to the desk. Lifting his wrist, a small white part lifted up to appear as a scanner. A green beam shot out, and instantly captured the information of the hotel onto the small device. Shooting them both a grin, he turned and all but ran out of the office.

His enforcer was nowhere to be seen, so he would have to leave her behind for now. They'd be just fine for now with just one enforcer. After all, the Geruna kid hardly looked like someone to be taken seriously. Tera should be able to handle him no problem.

Though he would have to probably get some dominators released.

The elevator door shut in front of him, and he clicked on his gadget once again, having the screen float up again. Clicking on the holographic pop-up, he requested the release of three dominators. It was approved, as the Inspector walked out into the parking lot.

"Inspector Byakurai, your request have been approved. Please proceed to transport car #3."

The pop up said. As it flashed off. Well, that was fast. With that said, he easily found said car and opened the door.

The dominators would already be in their carrying case in the car, so he didn't need to waste anytime checking.

The Inspector easily slid into the driver's seat, and he quickly scanned his ID into the car.

After all, who used keys no days?

He downloaded the information to the built in GPS and in no time he was already speeding out of the parking lot, braking with a loud 'Screech' noise as he got to the front of the building. He quickly called upstairs, and his cheerful voice sounded throughout the previous office he was in.

"Geo-kun! Tete-chan! I'm downstairs for you two!" Faster they did this, the better chance they would get to Geruna....then to the Artist.

"Alright! Lets go.", Tera said, truly excited for the first time that day. Going out into the city only happened when her inspector went out as she wasn't allowed to openly wander the city, and her inspector always struck her as a more of an inside guy, and when someone had to sleep in a small cell every night just to wake up and sit in an office all day, going out was the highlight of her day. Being able to rough up a stupid teenager way in over their heads was just an added bonus.

Send a notice so the stick-up-ass didn't mad? Tera blew out a large pillar of smoke, "If it floats your boat." She said with her lungs temporarily clear from the smoke. Tera hopped out of her chair already wanting to be out in the sunlight. She never realized how much she missed things until she had none of them which was funny in itself because she had nothing most of her life. It was a depressing circle with her ending up with the short stick. Even a simple walk was far more exciting then it once was even if it was from a purely business standpoint. Which it always was. Talking a walk with their enforcer just for the sake of going on a walk wasn't exactly the norm.

Knowing she wouldn't get another chance until they got into the car, Tera pulled the cigarette from her mouth and tapped it over the ashtray on his desk, "After you, Inspector." Tera said waving her left hand to the door.

"I have to take you to the briefing room."

"R-Right...." Saki said quietly, not wanting to be too loud, annoying, or too much of a pest. Being the youngest of the group still really did bother her. She felt like she had to act like one of them; tense, respectful, and mature, but anyone who took one look at her could tell that would most definitely not happen.

"Your not in trouble."

Saki brought her eyes up off the ground, since she made a habit of doing that when she was nervous and looked at Hayato. Of course, she still looked anxious, but there seemed to be some relief in her eyes as she said quietly to herself, "Thank goodness..."

"If I spent all my time chasing after late Inspectors then I'd have a shitload of more work."

After hearing this, Saki couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. She tried to hide it under her thick wool jacket, but there seemed to have been a little sound of a puff of air coming from her, which she hoped wasn't noticeable, since she always presumed people, or Inspectors, to be insanely serious, not even bothering to smile or laugh. Saki wanted to blend in, so she had to try her best to act the same, which would never work, obviously.

"I need to show you all the case files for the current case Inspector Allen, Byakurai, and I are working on..."

"I see..." Saki said slowly, trying to recall which cases she had gotten an early notice about, but since she was so focused on getting to her job on time, which she didn't, and impress her coworkers, which she didn't, she actually forgot all that she had studied days on days about. But she decided not to say something about that just yet.

Do you watch the news? Surely you've heard about a string of murders, right?"

Well, actually, she had to, "Y-Yes!" She nodded quickly. It was true that she had watched the news. Saki made a habit of doing it in her free time, so this was her way of repaying for them. As she thought more about it, she felt a bit sick as she murmured, "Right... the 'Artist.'

Saki followed right behind Hayato as he led her to a computer where he pulled up articles on 'The Artist.' She watched it all and scanned the words quickly, just as quick as she'd do math, but she didn't find any pictures. Not that she wanted to, but she figured it'd give her a better idea of the crimes, "Please let me see a few pictures, Mr. Itsuya." She said determinedly.

Saki knew she didn't look like the type of person to handle disgusting pictures, but when she looked at Hayato, she didn't exactly look the same as that nervous and anxious girl who went to work late, "Please, sir." She added, "I know I may not look reliable to handle any sort of deaths, but I assure you that this will be no problem for me. I am an inspector, after all."

Hayato Itsuya

Hearing her response, he blinked for a moment. Well, she was a detective. From her record, she had been the top student. So it should be fine...but then again, she was a bit immature still, and he didn't want to exactly scar her mind so soon in the job. But she still was a detective...she did have a right to know what this bastard did.

Hayato offered a shrug to her, then spoke back easily. "Well... just don't freak out and scream."

Pressing a few buttons on the computer, the pictures of the victim's body came up, along with their murderers next to the pictures. All the dead bodies so far was of young women, and the killers were older men...

well, except for the one they were after right now... he was barely an adult.

He clicked the first picture, and it was blown up. "First victim, Amagia Amiko, 19. Multiple stab wounds, killed through a stab in the heart. Eyes were gouged out and found in trachea. Dressed as a cupid." The murderers picture came up. "Sayuri Hideki, caught then committed suicide in prison."

The next picture came up. Kamichi Rie, 21. Killed by a knife through the neck. Found hanging in a church ceiling. Eyes were gone and found in trachea. Hiroko Sato was killed at the scene." In a big bloody mess thanks to yours truly." he added silently. Seriously, sometimes he wished the dominators didn't blow up the person. It made clean up take a hell lot longer at it was up to yours truly to supervise it.

He was perfectly fine with killing bastards like him. If that's what the system dictated, he'd have to follow.

"Nara Namika, 20. Killed by blunt force trauma. The body was nailed to an ally wall through the biceps and positioned to look like an Eygption pose...at least some what. Killer is currently in the mental health ward..." And untouchable, thanks to his Psycho-pass level. Hayato added in his mind with a scowl.

He hesitated to click on the last current victim. It was the worse out of all of them...and he only looked at it if needed to. Shrugging it off, the picture blew up on the wall. The torso of a woman came up, but only the torso. The body's arms, legs and head was missing, along with the organs. Their was blood all over the body, and ribs were poking out of it and bones were visible in the picture. Hayato remembered the scene clearly, since there was an overwhelming stench of blood. The crimson liquid was everywhere.

"Last victim. Rikana Kyoko, 17. Body was cut open and organs taken out. Body's limbs were cut off, post-mortim." Which was some comfort, seeing as the the girl didn't suffer. If it was ripped of why she was alive...

"The missing parts were found in a bucket near the body." He added, as the picture closed so Akira Geruna's picture came up.

"He's the link to the Artist right now. I just received a message the other inspectors that they'll go ahead to capture him, since we got a hit on his face sometime last night." Why had he gone home that day? He should have stayed for a bit more, and gone to go get him...then it would have been way faster.

"That's the case so far." He said simply, as the pictures close. Hayato let out a sigh, then clicked on a few more keys. The video that he had found earlier came up, and he pointed toward the wall. "He's currently at a motel on the east side of Tokyo. If we're lucky, he's still there." Hayato stopped speaking after that to let the girl soak in the amount of information he just gave out.

"Well... just don't freak out and scream." Saki heard Hayato say.

She nodded and said, "Thank you, sir. I won't." And with that, he pulled up the the bodies as Saki studied them.

The pictures and images looked horrible disturbing. Saki did have to cringe when she saw them, but she most definitely wasn't going to scream. That was something she wouldn't allow herself to do as she took a deep breath and looked closer at the computer, fixing her glasses as she got a better look.

"First victim, Amagia Amiko, 19. Multiple stab wounds, killed through a stab in the heart. Eyes were gouged out and found in trachea. Dressed as a cupid. Sayuri Hideki, caught then committed suicide in prison."

Saki looked at the picture and recognized the name, 'That girl I saw on the news a little while ago...' She thought, her mouth seeming to slip open by the second until she realized this and immediately closed it as Hayato pulled up the next picture.

"Kamichi Rie, 21. Killed by a knife through the neck. Found hanging in a church ceiling. Eyes were gone and found in trachea. Hiroko Sato was killed at the scene."

There was blood everywhere on this picture and Saki frowned. She did look like she had a hint of disgust, but then reminded herself, 'Inspectors have to get used to this. This is my job. Focus, Saki, focus...' She continued saying to herself while another image showed up on the computer's screen.

"Nara Namika, 20. Killed by blunt force trauma. The body was nailed to an ally wall through the biceps and positioned to look like an Eygption pose...at least some what. Killer is currently in the mental health ward..."

"This is what this man considers art...?" Saki muttered to herself, now displaying the amount of hatred and revulsion on her face, which was often smiling. She said no more as she looked at the picture and said, now a bit louder, "This man must be sick." In some way, she didn't think that the killed should have been kept alive if he did something as horrible as that, but she decided not to voice her opinions on that, even though her face clearly displayed it.

"Last victim. Rikana Kyoko, 17. Body was cut open and organs taken out. Body's limbs were cut off, post-mortim. The missing parts were found in a bucket near the body."

"An unpleasant sight." Saki said, diverting her eyes away from the computer for a spare moment. She did hold to her word, saying that she wouldn't freak out or scream, but she was most definitely a bit afraid of this. Was she going to have to see more things like this, with her own eyes? She knew she would, but didn't want to think of it, for now.

"He's the link to the Artist right now." Hayato said before pulling up a picture, this time of a man, "I just received a message the other inspectors that they'll go ahead to capture him, since we got a hit on his face sometime last night. That's the case so far. He's currently at a motel on the east side of Tokyo. If we're lucky, he's still there."

"I'm assuming that's good, now that we have a lead." Saki said, looking at the man's picture on the computer, "I know it won't be easy to find the mastermind behind all these horrid murders, but he has to be caught. Someone can't get away with these kinds of things. A-As a new inspector from this day on, I hope you'll have me on this case, sir." Sakiko said respectfully with a bow.

"This is what this man considers art...?" Was the mutter he heard in the quiet room while he was going through the pictures, and along with the next comment she made. "This man must be sick." He agreed silently. The Artist was just a sick and disgusting bastard who got a thrill out of defacing dead bodies.

Hayato had honestly thought that he wouldn't have much to do as an Inspector...he was horribly wrong.

This was one of the first major cases they had ever since this system was established. The system was able to detect the murderous intent, and usually the Inspectors were able to stop it before it happens. This case wasn't like that, much to his dislike. He was begining to despise this person, whoever they were.

"I'm assuming that's good, now that we have a lead." Came the other inspector's voice, as it broke his train of thought. He blinked and looked at her, giving a nod in response. Well, for how long? It was roughly almost five hours since the video was taken. It was possible to run away in that time frame, or make a kill.

What if all they found was another dead body? A frown set on his lips, as he thought about it, almost forgetting the woman was in the room, until she spoke again, but he saw the last part of her words were important.

"I know it won't be easy to find the mastermind behind all these horrid murders, but he has to be caught. Someone can't get away with these kinds of things. A-As a new inspector from this day on, I hope you'll have me on this case, sir."

He blinked in surprise. The old saying "Looks can be deceiving" seems to be true in the case such as her. He had half expected her to ask to be taken off, not join this screwed up case. Hayato sighed, before running a hand through his hair-an old habit he had gotten from dear old dad. When he was a child, he'd watch his father do that and he copied it. Pushing it back, before letting it go again as his hand fell back to his side.

"Well...your assigned to my team, so you'll have no choice but to get involved with this..." he trailed off slightly, before sighing once again. "Though, just tell me if you off from this case...This could drive a new Inspector over the edge." The last thing he wanted to do, was to cause another Inspector to fall to an enforcer level...

If he could prevent that, he would somehow... even if it meant transferring the girl to somewhere else... like maybe the minor cases unit that dealt with burglary or smaller crimes. Nothing like homicide or murder. That would be a better place for her.

A slight frown pulled at the corners of his lips. Would that certain person be alright if she never worked for this department? Hayato shook his head slightly to banish the thought. No. There was no point in going their right now. Clicking a few buttons, the case file was back to normal in the four columns. The silver head inspector looked at the girl and spoke.

"We'll be watching the cameras in case he tries to escape." He said, and soon real-time video feed were all over the wall. "If you see Geruna on any camera, call the other Inspectors. You have your communication bracelet, right?" The academy hopefully taught her how to use that. If not...he was gonna have to say a few words with the instructors...

And hell, they won't be polite.

The Enforcer refused to allow for emotion to crack the chilled mask that had constructed its way onto her features, only the gleam of prideful scorn shining in her orbs dispelling the sense that she wasnā€™t an actual doll. After all.. most china dolls typically donā€™t have a lethality to them..most. With even breathing, Seiren calmly traced every little twitch and jerk Takeruā€™s body gave as he rose from his perch, those brown eyes latching evenly onto her own scarlet. Even those normally meaningless pops and cracks he inflicted upon himself didnā€™t manage to escape her attention.. in all honesty, it was the exact opposite. Foolish kid..he just alerted me to every single vulnerable point in his bodyā€¦ But then again, he doesnā€™t know how I fight, does he? Heh.. echoed her amused thoughts, just the slightest hint of sadistic cruelty lacing them

"Alright! If you're so confident that you could do anything, then I will play with ya. I think... the safeword is 'Chihuahua', okay? Make sure you say that when you quit or I won't know if I'm being too harsh. trumpeted his eager voice, adrenaline-drenched happiness practically tangible within it. However, where her opponent was all smiles and happiness, that bitter annoyance intensified throughout Seirenā€™s stature hearing the safeword he so ā€œaccidentallyā€ chose. ā€Fine...but weā€™ll see who will be declaring ā€˜Chihuahuaā€™ after Iā€™m through with you, kid.ā€ hissed out her hateful response, that damned pass level rapidly creeping up. After all..there were three things that pissed her the hell off like none other; 1. Hayato 2. Being referred to as short 3. People underestimating her because of her size/appearance, gender or previous Inspector title..and Takeru just violated two of those forbidden topics.

Quirking an eyebrow in a sarcastic enjoyment, Seiren couldnā€™t help but allow for a smirk to play across her features seeing the defensive stance the other Enforcer immediately fell to, a momentary pause soon following. What..? Does he expect me to do that also..? questioned her inner voice, an audible scoff following. Not bothering to budge from her crossed-arm, loose-kneed stance, the woman merely gave a small nod of her head to signal to begin.

His first move was far too predictable, far too confident...and, with that power put behind it, uncontrollable. As his right arm sliced through the air, a snake-esque grin replaced that half-turned smirk, her stance frozen for half of a second. Then, without warning, left hand sprung into action. With the palm taut, Seiren didnā€™t exactly block the attack (why be that easily read..?), and, instead, pressed it into the fore portion of his right arm. Using the momentum of his attack and little of her own strength, the ex-Inspector spun rapidly to his side to completely avoid the attack..all using a twisted form of her own concept of inertia. Another standstill fell between the two, that snake-like ear-to-ear grin and murderous aura not vanishing, before Seiren lashed out. Mimicking Takeruā€™s attempted punch to the face, the movement almost seemed careless, as if she was testing the waters..as if a cat were playing with a mouse before devouring it.

Sorry, Torai-san, I won't lose to you.

His mental apology was done, there was no need to hesitate. Takeru's punch flew with a strength he knew the young woman wouldn't be able to block efficiently. She was small, after all. Even if she was not some weakling, he towered over her with his height alone, and while he was no body-builder, he wasn't some scrawny wimp either. In terms of power, he was easily confident about his advantage. However, he also knew that fighting was not simply about power. Seiren made this clear as, as beautifully as a dancer, she twirled around his punch, leaving it to strike naught but the air where she had once been standing.

Almost instantaneously, she then took the liberty of throwing a punch of her own, straight towards Takeru's devilishly-handsome face.

It was a bit too predictable for Takeru, and with the form of evasion she had just displayed, he figured that it had to be intentional. Maybe she wanted to play a bit, or maybe she wanted to trick him. Who knew? Carelessly, Takeru went to raise up his hands to block the attack, but was not fast enough to protect himself, the punch sliding across his face with perfect contact, his head snapping to the side. Yet, this was not all that had occurred. Whereas most would have been able to follow up on the attack, Takeru gave Seiren no time, having allowed the strike to connect on purpose and instead gripped her punching arm with his left hand, pulled it towards him so that the woman herself would be forced to come with, and twisted his body so that his left elbow could move effectively towards her own face, all in but a quick movement which almost seemed rehearsed, given how flawless it was delivered.

In that situation, there was not much the weaker party could do: Takeru had one of her own arms in his strong grasp, and his other arm was about to deliver quite the elbow when it connected.

A slight bubble of pride welled up in the female Enforcer as she observed that her rather simple attack was evidently executed with far too much speed for Takeru to handle, his hands failing in their attempt to protect his exposed upper features. With almost a mesmerizingly appalling ease, the womanā€™s delicate hands turned into ones built for destruction and carnage, her single fist flawlessly making impact across his face. And as his head snapped to the side, Seiren couldnā€™t help but allow for a light chuckle to escape itā€™s confine under her breath, the half-smirk replacing that disturbing grin. ā€Come now, Takeru.. you have to do better than that if you want to beat me!ā€

However, it appeared that the ex-Inspector spoke too soon for the manā€™s own hand swiftly latched onto her upper forearm in a moderate grasp. Instinctively, a small, rather feral, growl of agitation filled their silence as she was yanked towards him, his strength easily overpowering her own. With his left elbow poised to collide with her face, Seiren silently cursed her own conviction..after all, it allowed for her to get frozen in a trap. A situation in which she didnā€™t really take a liking to you, mind you. Flickering her gaze up to Takeru, irritation making that crimson almost dance in a glow, she slowly bite her bottom lip. Think Seiren think...how are you going to get out of this?! Think! Unlessā€¦ Iā€™m sorry, Takeru. mused her inner thoughts, a coy, sly, smile painting itā€™s way on her gardenia mouth.

Without a shred of regret or hesitation, the Enforcer pulled her free elbow away from his body before slamming it down with a considerable amount of force right above his groin. The pain and impact had caused Takeru to stumble back..of course, still being in his hold, she was a mere puppet to his demands. Before it could really register on what was happening, the pair were crashing through the air, a startled, rather soft, ā€œeep!ā€ coming from Seiren in response. Luckily, Hayatoā€™s desk broke the fallā€¦ā€¦.unfortunately, it didnā€™t escape unscathed. The study lamp resting innocently on the outer edge was knocked over, shattered and in ruin on the floor. All of his organized pens were now arranged in a photo of mishap, his keyboard dangling off the rim of the desk by its wires, some of the buttons knocked out. But that wasnā€™t the worst part.. no no, it was the state of which his computer was in. A hole, thanks to one of the two Enforcerā€™s elbow, was now gaping at them, blue fizzes of electric sparking angrily in protest. Perhaps one of Hayatoā€™s most prized possession was beyond repair, beyond saving.. Oh god.. I canā€™t wait to see how he reacts to this. groaned her inner voice, a wide-eyed concerned glance tossed over at Takeru.

"ALRIGHT GURL WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK YOU DO NOT AIM AT A MAN'S JUNK LIKE THAT I DONT CARE HOW SERIOUS THE FIGHT IS LIKE JESUS CHRIST YOU COULD'VE BROKE IT OR SOMETHING MAN DONT DO THAT SHIT HOLY FUCKING BALLS"

"Grnghn...."

There was a deep sense of panic in the pit of Takeru's stomach. That blow was far too close to a certain part of him that he really did not want to be struck in. In fact, a hard enough blow there would probably have disabled him and scored the small woman a win nearly instantaneously, which would be quite embarrassing as well as painful.

The blow caused Takeru to stumble back. He hadn't even completed his elbow, which was disappointing, but Takeru's grip on Seiren's own arm hadn't relented in the least, and she had been forced to follow him as he crashed backwards into the desk, a very sharp pain spiking through his back from where he landed and a rather kawaii cute sound being emitted from Seiren. He was sure he destroyed something, as his attempts at moving his elbow resulted in a odd crunching sound and it only took him one second to realize what this was.

He broke Hayato's computer.

Well... shit. This is probably going to send him over the edge. I don't think he'll be happy at all.

Seiren was shooting glances at him, and by the size of her gorgeous orbs, she was surprised and unsure what to do about this wrecked situation that they had found themselves in. Takeru wasn't very hopeful, and he wanted to sigh in frustration about how much shit this might get him into, yet he knew it wouldn't accomplish much. The computer was likely beyond all repair, and although it was easy enough to retrieve the harddrive, he knew that would not soften the Inspector's expression in the least when he figured out what happened. However, there was this shocking pain in his lowermost part that required immediate attention and took priority above all else. Seiren had managed to miss the blow to his groin, but struck that place anyway. He decided to let her know where her hand was in the most polite and calm way as he could possibly muster at this given time.

"Y-your hand..... !" he groaned weakly. Getting hit there sent disabling pain to your brain, no matter how null to physical abuse you typically were. "....my... nuts..."

"What the..." He muttered under his breath. Something had crashed in another room it seemed...though which room? He heard a few more noises that sounded like glass shattering. Didn't they know to keep it down? People were trying to work, and that noise was not-

Oh hell no...

Came a single thought that easily cut through his others like a knife. He had just left to latent criminals...alone in the office...without supervision...

They wouldn't have...would they?

He slapped his hand on his face, easily doing a face palm as he cursed under his breath. That was such a stupid mistake. What had possessed him to do something like that?! With an annoyed sigh, he stood up ubruptly from his chair, before stomping towards the door, all but kicking it open, without another word to the new Inspector.

The silver haired Inspector felt the blood rushing in his ears, as his temper seemed to build fast and quickly in his body.

Hayato stormed down the hall, and opened the door roughly. It was surprising to see it didn't fall off its hinges, since it slammed against the wall loudly, most likely echoing throughout the hallways of the building, and alerting the other workers that he was pissed.

Well, a new word needed to be invented, as he looked at the contents of his once neat office. The first thing he saw, was the two inspectors standing a bit to close to each other then he liked by his de-

What the hell?

His keyboard was hanging by the wire, and it looked like it was busted up from the enforcer's little scrap. His pens were scattered all over his desk, and his once good lamp was now in shattered pieces of glass that littered the ground. A deja vu scene, since he had seen similar shards when Seiren dropped the glass pot earlier. Then his olive eyes wandered to his computer, as a spark of light caught his attention.

Or his shambles of one. A hole easily seen through the monitor.

A fucking gaping hole, he might add.

"You...FUCKING LUNATICS!" He snapped, anger easily dripping off with every work he spoke. His hands waved around the room, as he opened his mouth again to speak...err...yell.

"What the FUCK were you guys doing in here?! Does this look like a place to have a street brawl?!" He exclaimed, as he stomped in. Well, that's when he notice a small detail that he didn't notice while he walked in.

His enforcer's hand was a bit to close to the man's...unmentionables.

His eye twitched visibly, as his mind took a moment to register it. Anger flashed to rage in his eyes, as he stomped over, grabbing her hand harshly, before pulling Seiren away from the man, separating them so they weren't touching anymore. He stood in front of them, and he just snapped after that.

"What the HELL did you two think you were doing?! I leave you for five fucking minutes, and I come back to see this!" He gestured again, before continuing. "You two turn this room to utter shit! then I see you two getting all cozy by my fucking desk. The hell's wrong with you two?!"

They were bloody fucking criminals. That's what's wrong with them.

His eyes hardened shooting daggers at them with his eyes as he looked at both of them. "Then I see my computer like that! Are guys asking to be shot?!" He added. Anger easily waved off of his body as he looked at the two enforcers.

At the moment, he was tempted to go and request a dominator, then shoot the both of them right now. It'll get them out of his hair at least for a few days and let them stay in the hospital to recover.

After that, then shoot them again until he felt better.

Tera waited, maybe not patiently, for her inspector to finish his analysis of the holographic display. She couldn't fault him for his caution as she used to have her deal sites scooped out for days, but after being locked up for so long she wanted to be out in the sunlight. Even if she was going to be on duty and couldn't enjoy it, she still wanted to be anywhere else besides where she was 'forced' to be.

The kid's voice came out of the communications bracelet, and Tera tilted her head idling wondering if he had gotten her Dominator. It had taken a little work to saw off the grip on the left side of the handle, but it was what she had to do. Her Ka-bar knife was missing the grip on it's right side to the point where it was completely flat. She tended to hold her knife against her gun and by having both of them flattened; it made it easier to hold them and quickly use her knife should she not be able to use her Dominator for whatever reason, and the guys at the requisitions office were quite pissed when they got their Dominator back missing half the handle. The new one they issued came back the same and after a few fights and arguments; they relented pushing her off as a lost cause.

Tera's musings were cut off by a loud crash, and instantly, her hand went to her knife pulling it free from the sheath and pressing her back to a nearby wall, peaking out from the door her inspector had just left. It wasn't until she head Inspector Itsuya's voice screaming at someone that she relaxed and slid the knife back into her sheath. She let out a steady breath to help herself calm back down; she didn't do well with sudden noises like that. If she had a firearm, someone may have gotten shot, but really, who goes around touching each other on their desk? Tera shook her head, whatever they were doing sounded incredibly interesting to the point where she wanted to run over, point, and start laughing, but she didn't think her inspector would like that. Hell, the guy didn't even seem to like...

"Please. Try not to do that in our office," Tera was too shocked to reply. It didn't come off as a command, and damned if she didn't think it was slightly funny, but there was no way he could have intentionally said something even slightly witty.... Not that he lacked the brainpower to make something up, just that she didn't peg him as the type. The tone, not a command, almost like a request. Should she be glad he didn't try to order her around? Or insulted he thought she would break his electronic toys? Both? Tera shook her head to clear the confusing thoughts, sending her loose ponytail flying behind her. It wasn't worth the time.

The walk was oddly quiet. Usually she would pester him to pester him, but she just couldn't get into it. Couldn't even fake the enthusiasm. When they arrived at the car, Tera slid in the backseat and waited a whole seven seconds before crossing her arms on the back of the kids seat, "Did you get my gun?", it was a good a place as any to make one final comment before becoming who she really was.

Y-your hand..... !....my... nuts..." groaned out Takeruā€™s voice, a certain meekness lacing it that gave Seiren the justification she just won. With a softly-uttered cough of embarrassment, the Enforcer vainly tried to brush away the creeping signs of a blush..however, the color only seemed to have darken due to the attention she delivered to itā€™s existence. Just about as she was to, as nonchalant as possible, withdraw her hand from the indecent situation, heavy-ladened footsteps, more like stomps, reached her ears from the hallway, her stature instantaneously freezing. In fact, she only had time to turn to Takeru, eyes wide in anticipating horror and mouth agape, before Hayato burst into the room.

Still in the same position as earlier, the woman gave a visible cringe as she took in his outraged expression, his eyes dancing with what could only be called ā€˜devilā€™s fireā€™. Oh fuckā€¦ whispered her inner voice, dread seeping into every syllable as the Inspector finally settled on the pair. "You...FUCKING LUNATICS!" rang out his snapping voice, seething being a mild term for it. Normally, Seiren would have given a small chortle or scoff at the idiotic way Hayato was flinging about his hands..but, for this situation, it was best to keep silent. With a slight gulp, her gaze flickered over to Takeru, a look that only said: ā€˜buckle-up-this-is-going-to-be-a-long-rideā€™. "What the FUCK were you guys doing in here?! Does this look like a place to have a street brawl?!" came his next outburst, that anger never leaving his voice. It was then he froze slightly, his gaze wandering to where Seirenā€™s hand was. Eyes growing wide in alarm, the Enforcer was just about to hastily explain that it wasnā€™t what it appeared to be but the words werenā€™t any where to be found, especially as he marched over to them.

With a visible eye twitch and fury turning to rage, Hayato was oh so gentle in yanking the ex-Inspector's hand away from Takeruā€™s lower region before pulling her more towards him and away from Takeru. Just when she let out a sigh of gratitude, assuming he was done ranting, she was forced to take it back as his incredulous tone resonated once more. "What the HELL did you two think you were doing?! I leave you for five fucking minutes, and I come back to see this!"

Snapping her gaze to him, her own outrage gleaming back within them, Seiren was about to protest before he cut her off with his little conclusion. You two turn this room to utter shit! then I see you two getting all cozy by my fucking desk. The hell's wrong with you two?! Then I see my computer like that! Are guys asking to be shot?!. After a heartbeat of silence, the Enforcer took this time to object, her disbelief tangible. ā€Ok, for ONE, we were not getting ā€˜COZYā€™! We were bloody fighting...and I just so happened to fall on him! For two, you were gone longer than five minutes! Donā€™t even try that..it was 8! For threeā€¦ what the hell were YOU thinking, leaving us alone like that?! IT WAS ASKING FOR TROUBLE! Plusā€¦ā€¦ I Thought you would be more mad about your couch than your deskā€¦ Hmā€¦. oh right! Donā€™t you DARE even think about shooting us! We did nothing wrong- we were just practicing so we could defend your sorry asses on the field!ā€ To accentuate her point, the Enforcer sharply jabbed her forefinger into Hayatoā€™s chest, a frown accompanying it.

As the woman retorted back to him, and after feeling the jab into his chest by the woman enforcer he felt another scowl form on his features. His olive eyes flashed, as the woman finished speaking, and he opened his mouth, yelling in the same volume she was.

"DAMMIT woman, did it fucking not occur to you that you two were in a god-damned OFFICE?!" He started out. "It doesn't matter how the fucking long I was GONE. It was only about ten minutes since you kept track! That wasn't even a fucking hour and this happens!" And they seriously wonder why they aren;t allowed out of the building without supervision?

"I didn't realize I needed to fricken' babysit little brats and hold your hand to make sure you don't cause any damage! What the hell?! You two are over twenty! Do you plan on acting like a child right now?!"

Then he remembered the part where they were supposedly doing nothing wrong. Do they not see the state of the once neat and clean office? His computer, with all his files was still sparking electricity from the elbow shaped hole in its monitor. Now that he glanced at the couch, there was a fucking pen stuck into it.

A fucking pen.

That's probably what had caused the fight.

He spoke again, this time in a harsher tone. "Our sorry asses?! Are fucking kidding me?! There's is a fucking room downstairs used to conduct fights like this! Did it not occur to you to just go down there?!" His voice was sharp and loud as it echoed off into the halls of the once quiet hallway.

"You destroyed the Publice Safety Breau's shit, fight in a setting for work to get down, and trash the other things in the office!" He signaled with his hand to the lamp's broken glass, and the keyboard that still hung from the desk. "Please, enlighten me on how you fighting in the office was a good thing!" He said, sarcasm and scorn dripping out with each word that he spoke.

A small frown flitted across the Enforcer's carved features hearing the rant the Inspector exploded on, her arms maneuvering themselves to rest under her chest in a criss-cross manner. Exhaling a resigned sigh, she tossed yet another glance Takeru's way, a pained expression lingering in the attention that silently pleaded one phrase: "kill-me-now." Don't get your hopes up... whispered that inner voice, doubt and disappointment giving it life. Spending a few more heartbeats searching the other Enforcer's face for any signs of compliance, and not finding a trace, Seiren reluctantly refocused her attention back onto the fuming, suit-covered ass known as Hayato.

Quirking an eyebrow at him, the woman absentmindedly gnawed on her inner cheek to prevent from biting out a retort to his abusive comments. The way she saw it; sacrifice the tender, fleshy mass or risk another hour of yelling.. and losing the ability to perceive sound didn't sound exactly too appealing. However, as soon as he mentioned the bit about ''sorry assess'', Seiren could no longer ignore the retorting attitude clawing it's way to the surface. So, to ensure a louder outburst wouldn't take place later on, the Enforcer mumbled under her breath. "I wish I was kidding.. but it just so happens, every time we are out on the field, one of those moronic Inspectors gets themselves into a less-than-desirable situation..and it's up to us to work like mad dogs to rescue your skin."

Thankfully, the before-now-useless Takeru spoke up, hopefully diverting attention away from Seiren's sarcastic remark. Sending him a beaming smile at his justification, the female Enforcer turned on her heels, back facing Hayato, before crossing the room to pause next to him. Balancing on the balls of her feet, the woman reached a delicate hand up to rest atop Takeru's head before giving it a playful shake, messing up his hair in the process. "Ahh... theres the quick-witted Takeru when I need him. Dependable.." With a slight pouting frown, Seiren withdrew her hand before looking over accusingly at Hayato, a joking disappointment gleaming in her now magenta orbs. "See, Hayato? Why can't you be more like him..? Giving me excuses to bail out of trouble..I'm afraid you are lacking in that department. Tsk tsk... It's your job as an Inspector right?".

Slowly, an amused grin replaced that earlier scowl as an opportunity to mess with Hayato presented itself to her. With that familiar, mischievous sheen returning to her gaze, Seiren took rather light, airy steps over to the stark Inspector before stopping in front of him. With a tilt of her head, that eggplant-hued curtain draping to the right, a slender finger reached up to tap below her bottom lip and take momentary pause on her dainty chin. "Now now, Jii-chan, we weren't, quote, "acting like a child", as you put it..we were just having some fun... But if you want.." trailed off her voice, a hint of devilish mocking lacing her muse. Before anyone could react, the woman's hands darted upwards to grasp Hayato's cheeks before giving them a firm tug. "Jii-chan..scowling like that will give you wrinkles, ya'know? Plus your eyes look scary right now.. do you plan on getting a girlfriend? Cuz'..you won't looking like that.. Heh..here.. Yeah that's it, smile~ resonated her chiding voice, a mock, and rather childish, accent inflicted onto each word. Tugging alittle harder at his cheeks, Hayato's mouth become taut in a deformed smile, the area where her fingers were grasping already turning red with anger and irritation. All the while, that devilish grin and impish gleam never left her expression.

Well, some newbie inspectors did, but that wasn't the point. They were new. They didn't know what to do. Besides, all the enforcers became enforcers for a single reason. To be free yes, but it was also to make the Inspector's job on the field easier. If they didn't save some new inspector from a criminal attack, then what was the point of having them? Certainly not for decorations. He opened his mouth to retort that thought back, but then Takeru's voice cut in.

Might as well mention: Annoying come back for the explanation of the office.

Hearing Takeru's response to his question just annoyed him more. Especially with the tine he had decided to use. Could he not see the damage that was done to this stupid office. He was about to relieve the woman inspector of getting blown up on, and was about to take it out on Takeru but stopped when he noticed the woman had wandered over to that side toward the other enforcer.

Hayato let out a snort at the woman's response when she looked back at him. "An Inspector's job isn't supposed to bail an enforcer out of trouble." came his some-what snarky response, though added silently in his mind.

"You of all people should know that."

The girl knew what was expected of an Inspector yet continued to play dumb about it. She was an ex-inspector for god's sake! She knew that an Inspector's job was just to chase down latent criminals and prevent them from falling lower, or to get rid of them. It wasn't to make excuses for the enforcers when they decided to act out like these two just did.

Then he noticed a certain gleam in her eyes and he inwardly groaned. If anyone knew Seiren as long as he did they could recognize that look. And what did it mean? She was going to do something that would no doubt annoy him.

Like she used to do when they were younger.

A scowl made its way to his face again, as an excuse formed from her mouth about not acting childish. He was about to retort to the girl, ready to explain why they were until he felt pinching on his face. Then the woman enforcer started blabbering on about his non-existent love life. Why would he waste his time with something like that when there was work to be done?! Her childish voice easily showed the amusement she was feeling on the inside.

He felt a wave of dull pain coming from contact on his cheek by the shorter inspector, and he scowled again as the short inspector continued to pull his lips upward to make supposed smile. With an annoyed twitch of his eye, his hands went to her cheeks just as she did before speaking while pulling her cheeks.

"My face and personal business has nothing to do with this conversation, Torai." He pulled her cheeks as much as they could stretch, and it to in turn started to turn red from the pressure he put on her cheeks.

Takeru Kazami

Takeru's bitch returned to his side.

Yorai wandered over to Takeru's side with a silly grin and took the liberty of messing up the hair he had spent so long (seconds at most) on this morning, which was a real shame. If he had not had to worry about keeping his act up, finding the Artist, and many other things, he would have mourned the loss of perfect hairdo. But instead, he had work to do and since his hair was already laying down, it did not really matter much anyway. So he stood there as he was briefly praised and then as Seiren begun teasing the Inspector.

It was quite amusing, to say the least. Hayato could only give her one stern reply as she carried on, something he was sure he had not seen before just now. Was this the power of Osananajimi?! Seiren would continue adding points about a girlfriend and other subjects, all of which weren't quite normal for someone to tease their Inspector about, but given their relationship, it did not surprise Takeru all that much, and it wouldn't have interested him had it not been so entertaining to watch. But all good things must come to an end, and the face-stretching was starting to make him fee a bit awkward since he had been so angelically quiet the time they were screwing around.

Get a room, guys....

"... is this going to go somewhere I don't want it to because I can leave." came a snarky comment from the falsified Takeru who thought this should end ASAP. Oh, I wander what kind of publicity a physical romance an Inspector and an Enforcer would bring up? He did not dwell on that thought for longer than a moment because she was to be his because why not fuck everything Takeru's a pimp and instead continued with a shake of his head. "Stick-kun and myself are on the same boat, Sei-chan. Women just don't know how lucky of a catch we are, so stop teasing him. They'll eventually learn, just give us time."

Instantly, those alerting thoughts of false panic made Seiren well aware that Hayato was about to make his move by the indication of his eye twitch, a startled gleam teeming within that mischief. "Hayato! Don't you da-" complained the protesting voice of Seiren, her words silenced by her Inspector's mimicking actions. Feeling the throbbing ache stemming from the corners of her forcibly stretched mouth, a childish pout replaced that whimsical manner from before.

"My face and personal business has nothing to do with this conversation, Torai." came the silver-haired Inspector's justification, the dull ache increasing to a mild sting. With narrowed eyes, she pulled his own cheeks even harder before hissing out as distinguishably as possible. "Let go of my cheeks, Jii-chan! Only I can do this.. it's creepy when you do!" To prove her point, the ex-Inspector darted her tongue from between her lips before swiping it once rapidly against one of his forefingers gripping her cheek. With a satisfied smirk painting it's way onto her features,a gleeful boasting accompanying her mischievous demeanor, the woman was about to threaten Hayato some more but the snarky comments from the other Enforcer quelled them.

"... is this going to go somewhere I don't want it to because I can leave." was his inquiry, a hint of mock uneasiness lacing his comment. Fighting the forced tugging, Seiren managed a frown as her gaze fixated on her childhood friend, an annoyance clear-as-day present. "See, Jii-chan? You're creeping out my friend..so let go of me already!" Wanting to protest further, the female's mind began to race with possible scenarios in which to pin more blame onto her Inspector before Takeru's voice broke through her concertration. "Stick-kun and myself are on the same boat, Sei-chan. Women just don't know how lucky of a catch we are, so stop teasing him. They'll eventually learn, just give us time." Gnawing thoughtfully on her bottom lip, the Enforcer began to ponder Takeru's meaning for a second before her chipper voice sang out.

"Trust me, Takeru.. I'm not worried about you.. Girls already like you~ It's this Grumpy Jackass that has me worried.." A moment of silence followed Seiren's comment before her question shattered it. "Sooo.....guess we are off the hook..?"

Hearing Takeru open his mouth once again for no good reason, followed by Seiren's comment of him being creepy. He was just returning the favor, that's all. With another scowl, he simply released it before wiping his fingers on his coat, and roughly taking her hands away from his face.

"I better not get rabies or something." He muttered under his breath, before then turning back to the shambles that was his desk. It would at least take an hour for the service to replace the objects that were destroyed in the two enforcer's brawl. Another curse was muttered, before he ran a hand through his hair.

How was he going to explain this?

As his hand remained in his hair, his silver bracelet beeped, signalling a new message. Most likely from the Byakurai or Allens. He released his head before looking at the communicator. The holographic screen showed that it was Inspector Geoferry Allens who had sent it. It had the words he hadn't thought would appear.

"Suspect apprehended. Need transport to medical facilities.

With a nod of approval to himself, he turned back to the former inspector before responding in all but a growl.

"Hell. No. I'll fill out that shit later." He said, before turning back to the screen from his bracelet."That shit" being the paper work to suspend an enforcer from duty. He'd get them on leave for maybe a few days so he could get over his computer getting destroyed.

The second part though, bothered him. The medical transport most likely meant for the suspect, or else the Inspector would have specify it for the enforcer that left with him. If the suspect was in bad shape, they couldn't question him until a doctor gave him the okay to at least talk with the boy. That would just hinder the investigation.

With that thought, he clicked a few buttons, and soon a request for new equipment was sent, and approved.
