The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 2 authors
The citizens of the US shouted out in revolt, or cried, either way they were furious with the president. People swarmed the streets across America and headed towards any building involved with the government. Capitals, Courthouses, anything to explain this "obvious propaganda". The representatives in the White House locked their doors and kept secret service at the gates of the nation's capital. None of the people even noticed some of the crimes that were going on. Thievery, assault, it just passed the eyes of the screaming patrons of the riots.
One man however, sitting on a park bench watching this video going viral, stood himself up and rolled his shoulders. It appeared that this man strolled through the shouting and chaos like it was a lazy Sunday. His small grin on himself was very questionable, but either way he was planning something. Something that was completely different from what everyone else thought to do. The man that you see in front of you, White Protection, was going to change the game.
I never would have thought that the man to keep ourselves safe was tearing this nation apart. But, it didn't change the fact that humanity needed my services again. I waltzed over to an open area and grasped myself, preparing to take off. "Let's see if I still got this." I stated as my eyes lit up to their icy white selves. The ground took a toll, the grass and soil cracking beneath my feet and I glanced to the sky. My legs spiraled and uncoiled themselves, sending me flying. The crowd below stared up as the white bullet pierced through the clouds. I stared at them gritting my teeth as the clouds made their way onto my skin. There was a bit of burning, but nothing too serious. "I still got this." I chuckled, staring down at the ground below. I began to see fires and destruction below as D.C was made into a barren wasteland. I felt sad, almost disappointed in how bad things have gotten. But, I needed to focus and my body began to land and I stared to the ground, attempting not to destroy anyone on the way down. I slammed my feet down, leaving a crater and I shot to the sky, shouting out in excitement.
3 hours later...
At the sight of at least 25 on patrol, I split myself into 3 bodies and all of me targeted almost twelve just in my sight. The brawl began and the screaming and gunfire were most likely audible to the inside of the building. The three copies of me didn't take long to eliminate the opponent in front of them. Some of the men's spines split in half, the others nearly exploded on impact. The men stood no chance and their lives ended second after they tried. I fused myself to a single once more and rested for a few moments, winded by what happened. I barely kept myself standing and I focused on regaining my strength.
I heard a gunshot and jumped, my head hitting the seat. I groaned, but then heard another gunshot. The jeep swerved and jumped, but it was controlled. What is going on?? I wondered to myself.
A sign of grimace was on his face as he continued to shoot me, screaming frantically. I disarmed him, almost crushing his hand and I deactivated his car back taking the keys out of the ignition. The president wasn't pleased with this and he tried to pull out another weapon, but the door that was practically standing between me and him I had ripped of the hinges. I took the man by his collar and brought him to the middle of the highway. He screamed and pleaded me to stop as I lifted him off the ground. Then his face went into a furious rage and he screamed out, "Do it! Go ahead and kill me! Run me through!"
I was gladly about to give him his wish, but I noticed a few barrels pointing towards me, guns or camera. It wouldn't be a good idea to kill a national "hero" would be a crime to anyone in America. The citizens wanted the president behind bars, not smeared on concrete. I placed the man down, still holding onto his expensive suit, and explained, "If you go and tell anyone about this. You're the first one I'm after. Understand?" His very soul was being stared at with my piercing white eyes and he nodded his head multiple times, shaking in his skin. I let go of his collar and he ran immediately through the forest. Somehow, I had a feeling that something was going to go wrong. He was going to start this up again, or he was going to tell the press a lie. But, he was gone for now.
At the moment I didn't really care what he did at this point. I had been in fighting form for a while, and I was walking dizzy like a drunk person on New Year's Eve. I opened the trunk to see the girl inside and asked, "May I take your hand?"
~~~~Meanwhile...~~~
President Leon was furious. He didn't know who or what that thing was, but he was not going to go down that easy. He pulled out his cell phone, dialing a number quickly as he scaled a tree. Sitting in the upper branches, he began quickly speaking in some code. "Esya. Ona, hesa asa eenba tolensa. Leasepa. Einforcementsra ouldwa eba erfectpa. Hankta uoya." He hung up with a sigh. Two days..just give her two days.
One of the men came out of stated, "Sargent Charles. I heard a bit of noise back there. Any trouble?"
I shook my head and chuckled softly, "Don't worry, my men took care of it. It was just a few predators from the forest."
"Hah! I knew that getting those freshmen out there would give them a jolt. Who's the lady?" He asked back staring at her.
"She got in the middle of it and she asked me to take her home. But don't worry, the hostage is still inside." I said, nodding to the airport and I looked back to the guard, trying not to show the gritting of my teeth.
The man lifted the gates and allowed them through, shouting, "Better come back soon before they see another wolf or somethin', Charles!"
I laughed haughtily as I rolled up the window, letting out a breath as soon as we got out of sight. "That was close.", I said looking towards the girl and I beat on the wheel laughing the whole while. I sighed when I finally stopped and glanced at the road, trying not to run over anything. I sped up to the highway speed limit and asked, "You need something? A drink? Something to eat? I'm sure he starved you in those chains."
My eyes caught a glimpse of a gas station and I pulled out onto the exit and steered into the gas station. Going out of the car and closing the door, I pulled a wallet out of my pocket and filled up the tank. I leaned over the slightly open passenger seat window. "I'm going to get a case of water. Just stay in the car, alright? I'll be quick.", I said leaving the car door and walking through the glass doors covered in advertisement. I found a case of Aquafina and rang it up to the cashier. I received some change and noticed the man's palm was considerable sweaty. I breathed through my teeth as steam came off my hand. Almost immediately, I frantically shoved my hand inside my pocket. The employee raised his eyebrow and was about to ask a question, but I quickly rushed through the doors, trying not to keep the conversation going. I put the case of water bottles on my lap as I entered the Jeep once more. I ripped open the case, carefully not trying to touch anything but the plastic that was holding the bottle. I handed the girl the bottle and explained, "Now, before you go wolfing it down, you need to take small sips. You'll get sick if you don't." I placed the case into the backseat behind us. Then I flicked my head to her and said, "Please don't get any water on me." My hand was still slightly steaming from the cashier's palm as I started the Jeep.
I rolled down the window and I hung my hand near the edge of the window. I stared at the rear view mirror on the side of the Jeep then slid my fingers down to the whizzing concrete down below. In mere split-seconds, my hand turned into a rather large spike strip that touched both edges of the road. The cars swerved trying to avoid their inevitable fate, but the weight of their large SUV's kept their momentum going. Most of the tires of the black cars blew out and the agents stepped out of their cars, aiming at me with their weapons.
I floored it before they could have a shot at me, the girl or our tires. Realizing that we've have been out in the open long enough, I had to find one of the sanctuaries in Texas. I thought hard to think about the closest one, but I remember one in Austin that was considerably hidden. So I kept driving on, keeping my eye on my surroundings. There were a couple scrapes along the way but I kept the agents at bay. The more I went towards my sanctuary, the more tension I had. I stared at the green sign introducing me to the abandoned city. Surprisingly enough, there weren't any cars gone and not as many stores were broken into. Either way though, the place was a ghost town.
Taking under consideration of how durable this Jeep was, I took through the forest that was on the west side of the city. The rumbling of the car on the terrain was sure to wake my guest up, but I gritted my teeth anyway, attempting to be as soft on the peddle as possible. We finally reached the spot and I tapped her shoulder stating, "Hey, we're here."
I jumped as a hand tapped my shoulder. I relaxed almost immediately when I saw it was only my rescuer. I nodded slightly at him, yawning. I looked out the window and realized I had no idea where 'here' was. "Umm...wh..where?" I asked quietly, looking at him, kind of confused.
~~~~~
President Leon sat impatiently in the back of a restaurant, three guards dressed kind of like cowboys around him. He wore an eye patch and a black suit with a cowboy hat tipped to hide his face. He listened to the phone call from one of the people he'd sent to find Satey. "What do you mean she escaped?!?" He hissed into the phone, forgetting about their communication code. "I don't care," he said in a very annoyed voice, "FIND her and Bring her to me unharmed!" He said before hanging up, slamming the phone on the table. A waiter brought a glass of wine.
"You sound like you need a drink." he said, setting the glass down. Pres. Leon gritted his teeth. His guard sipped at it, then nodded.
"Thank..you." The president managed to grumble. The waiter nodded and walked off.
The cube was small enough to hold in the palm of your hand. I placed the box-like object in my pocket and said to Satey, "I know that was sudden and all, but we didn't need anyone seeing a large car showing our location." I strolled over the mound of vegetation and pushed away the bushes, looking around the whole while. Soon enough, the entrance revealed itself and I thought, "Yes!" I lifted the porthole and pushed it away, reaching down for something. I stuck my tongue out reaching for something and I noticed the wooden dowel rods of a ladder. I lifted up the object pulling the assisting ladder out from the bottom of the trench.
It was long enough to touch the bottom of the unknown floor. The ladder slid down with a whack on the solid floor below and I began to slowly go down it, motioning my finger to let Satey follow. I reached the dry ground and sighed in relief that the floor wasn't wet. I noticed a small boxes of matches that I had left there a few years before and carefully picked it up. I lit the entire thing on fire knowing that a minuscule piece of wood wouldn't be enough to help me find what I was searching for. "Now where is that light switch?" I muttered to myself, holding the burning inferno the whole while. Burns petrify my genetic for a few moments but it wouldn't do any permanent damage. I found the small piece of plastic and metal then flicked the switch.
The overhead lights hesitated before completely turning on, revealing a considerably dry room, almost sandy, and the walls lined with small brackets that released small amounts of heat from the walls, keeping the room dry for the whole while that he was gone. I noticed that I was very room and immediately turned off the tiles, knowing that it took forever for the heat to escape the place. There were bits of furniture scattered around the room and I quickly set them up so that it didn't look like a pig sty. As Satey entered the den, I smiled and shrugged my shoulders saying, "I know it's not the best... but it's home for me."
I drank the small vial and coughed a little bit. Having the strength to knock out the average man, it is a very strong drink even for such a small brew. The steaming bruises on my hands stopped fizzing and returned to their normal color. I sighed and leaned forward slightly still trying to get over the stinging pain. After a few moments I flicked my head upwards, almost forgetting I had a guest. I asked, "So, Satey. Can you tell me about your father? Did he make the president angry? Why would the president kidnap you?" I sat up as I said these words, trying to give as much attention as possible.
I stopped my thinking and explained to Satey, "The president doesn't like the Vice President or whoever he's working with that's for sure. But he's just using you to get power. He's making this representative democracy a dictator and he's using fear to make the citizens bow at his will. At least that's what I'm thinking. And I'm sure you didn't do anything wrong. But, you're just a girl and he saw you as an easy-to-capture target." I wiped my eyes and said, "I'm sure you are important to Leon at this point. I did steal you from him. He's after me too, probably wants me dead. But, just so you know, I will protect until I cannot stand."
Suddenly, I heard whupping in the air. The blades of a helicopter were making the noise and patted my hands in the air towards Satey, hissing at her to be quiet. The blades sound got closer until I began to here the engine of the said machine. The blades began to slow down and I heard some murmuring and footsteps above our heads and I stared at the porthole, waiting for it be blasted open. Luckily enough, the lid was kept shut for the hours that we were waiting, but it didn't appear that the people above us were going to leave. So, I pointed to one of the three beds near the other side of the room, whispering very quietly, "If you feel like sleeping, there's beds over there. I'll be on guard all night, don't worry, but I don't think these guys are leaving anytime soon." I kept my eyes up at the entrance and stared, waiting for anything.
~~~~~~~
Leon paced impatiently above the spot he'd been told they were hiding. "Oundfa hemta etya??" He asked, remembering the code. There where a bunch of no's, which made him even more upset. He kicked a rock. "INDFA HEMTA!" He said, pulling out his phone and calling someone unknown. He had about 15 people scouring the area for anything useful. The tire tracks just...ended. There was nothing else that gave much of a hint.
A few hours later one of the men tripped over something. He paused. "Aye! I might have found something!"
Leon twirled around, shutting his phone. "Odeca!" He said quickly.
The man stuttered. "S-sorry. Ereha!" He said, starting to move some bushes and debri. The others came over to help.
~~~~~
I began to feel sleepy. I shifted, yawning slightly, but not planning to go to bed yet. There was a slight thunk and I tensed, rubbing my eye as I looked over by the entrance. I began to wonder how they found us in the first place...
I frantically pulled the ladder of the way of the lengthy path down to the small room and I readied myself to speed through the vertical tunnel. I stared at Satey with my bright white eyes and shouted, "What ever happens Satey, just stay down here and don't move!" I heard the metallic cover slide completely open and I blasted through the head that was peaking down. It flew off, the body part, and flung itself into the air as I flew into the sky, suspending myself so that I could count how many I needed to take down. There were ten that I counted, more probably hiding in the trees. Either way, I used my material to make a rain of sharp, steel needles. The men down below shouted, "Cover!" But the ones who were dumb enough to just advise were ran through with a barrage of thin stinging pieces of my DNA. They fell, most sliding down from the trees.
I then spiraled my body as I made a descent down onto the ground. My fell faster and faster, receiving a hail of bullets on the way down. But I made my way down, crashing into the ground, revealing some of the hidden soldiers, blundering at the shear force of my impact. I counted at the few who were open and sent a solid sphere towards the first man. He was scrawny and too fear-stricken to mover out of the way. It impaled him, right through his chest and he stared at his where his heart should have been. The cannonball slid back to me and I said, "One."
Next, a sniper from behind me took this chance to take a shot at me but I then flung my arm, it turning into a saw blade-like object and it pounded into his chest, forcing him to the ground. "Two." I sprinted to the blade, seeing another man behind the now dead sniper. Yet, before I could take the final shot, he did it for me with his Magnum Pistol. I hesitated, sliding desperately in order to stop and my eyes widened. "Th-... three." I stuttered, turning around hearing the president yell something in code. There were only about 5 men left, including the president who escaped into the helicopter. I was wearing to attack the coward, but I fell to my knees, trying to regain the energy that I had lost. My hair went back to it's soft brown and my eyes stopped glowing. I gasped for air and ran back to the inside of the lid.
There was a sudden explosion behind me which forced me inside the cave. I fell down my eyes flickering wildly before they decided to lie on a dark black as I hit the ground, unconscious.
~~~~~~~~~
The President jumped back as one of his soldier's head flew off. "Etreatra!" He said, jumping into the helicopter. Only one other soldier made it on the helicopter. the others where left. The helicopter started up, it's blade rotating. Leon watched as the man took out his other guards before going back towards the hideout- The helicopter spun wildly and the pilot started yelling. One of the rotor blades had broken. The helicopter began spinning wildly. Leon, the pilot, and the one guard jumped out, landing painfully on the ground. The helicopter spun, crashing into the ground with a small explosion. Leon rolled away, coughing and in pain. He sat up. Someone ran over - on of the remaining guards. He had two..two..not too bad. The guard helped him up, both of them stumbling away to a safer distance...
~~~~~~~~
I squeaked as someone fell into the hideout. It took me a moment to recognize the person. I stood, cautiously walking over. "H-hey...heeyyy.." I said quietly, kneeling beside him. "Hey!" This time it was slightly louder. The lid was still open..I didn't know how to close it. Looking back at White Protection I decided to try to help. I leaned down, carefully wrapping an arm under his arms and picking him up as much as I could. I walked towards one of the beds...well, stumbled, carefully placing him on it. Just that wore me out. I walked back over to the entrance, looking up. I picked up one of the chairs and dragged them to the side of the bed, sitting there, watching him.
~~~Dream~~~
I was cold, and hurting as something kept touching my face. Small little objects that would melt on my face and came from the sky. I was a little one, being carried by someone through the son, by the sound of her wincing pain and breathing, it was obviously a female that was the one carrying me. She put into some basket with a few vegetables and I lied there, balling. I saw the woman's soft gentle face and she held my hands lovingly. This gave me a moment of happiness, but then she began to cry as she struggled to let go of my hands. I began to fuss and sniff before seeing that she was leaving me for good. I started whining again, watching as a few humans chased after her in the middle of the blizzard. I saw her body blur away from the snow.
~~~Reality~~~
I woke up and almost all at once I sat up, staring at the ground. It's been so many years since I've been near to the feeling of having an actual mother. I just sat there, tearing up a little and I stared at Satey, still trying to get over the fact that it'd been so long since I've had seen family members. I frowned and walked to the entrance of the tunnel and jumped through again in a rage of fury. Only this time instead of flying into the sky I jumped closely to the ground. It was near nightfall and I saw a burning metal mess that must have been the helicopter. I flicked my head everywhere and saw the president couldn't be found. I felt so angry that I let out an inhumane roar into the air. It must have been heard for miles because I haven't shouted that loud ever. I began to feel a feral sense coming into my mind, but I stopped myself, knowing that busting through trees trying to find someone isn't going to solve anything. I looked back to the entrance and slid down the concrete hole, closing it with the metal lid once again.
I got to Satey and said softly, "Sorry about the yelling. It's just that he got away... again." I found the bed I had found myself on before and sighed, staring at the ceiling. I glanced at Satey and stated, "We're going to have to keep moving if we're gonna get away from this. We'll figure it out in the morning, but for now we should try rest, yeah?" I smiled to Satey and just lied on the bed, not attempting to sleep, for rest.
I woke up to a very loud and strange noise. I tensed, looking all around. I didn't see White Protection. Beginning to panic, I stood, taking two steps- The lid to the hideout closed and I froze. A familiar person came down...oh. I relaxed, sitting back down. "It's okay." I smiled faintly, just glad he was okay. "That sounds good." I yawned slightly again, once more curling back up in the chair. It was comfortable. I began to fall asleep again, leaning forwards against my knees as I did. It was actually really comfortable. My mind started to drift.
I had a dream I was swimming in a big lake. I just kept going and going and going until I was in the middle. I laid there, floating, the sun warming me from the cold water..
