Introduction
The land of Yort is but an empty book, filled with blank pages just waiting to be filled in by you, the author. Yort has no inhabitants, no unknown creatures that nobody has heard of. Just old tribal members, some old ruins and everyday animals. That is where you come in. In forums, you can create races of beings that you would like in. I will have a race sheet, guide lines to follow.
If the land is but a nature rules plain, how does a story (or multiple) take place here? That is for you to decide. You and multiple others may have came here in a caravan. Maybe you are a creature made by the tribal inhabitants. Its all about the maybes here in Yort. When it comes to story, I would like to run a story ark as me being the "game master", then, after our ark has reached its end, I would like to pick one or two people to run the next ark. That being said, depending on how many people join, depends on how many arks can be run at the same time.
The villains of the arks can range. Your imagination is the limit, that's what the great creator always says. Maybe the villain is a great necromancer out to revive a lost demon. Maybe its a demon out to start a demon army. Imagination. During an Ark, there may be multiple villains, due to the fact that the main characters need things to stand in their paths. I need creative characters, good and bad. We are here to create history, to form a land. The world is for us to create.
The world is waiting for you, adventurers. What your character is here for is your choice. Maybe s/he heard a rumor about an ancient artifact, maybe they are searching for a wizard. Maybe looking to start a new settlement and then expand. If you would like to do a collaboration with me or other players, feel free to message me/them/us.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 3 authors
Six men came out from beneath the deck, all tall, they all carried swords. One of them stood out, however. The man who stood out was wearing all red, and had dog like ears. The man in the red through himself belly first into the deck as six knives flew through the air. Five made contact into the chest of the five men standing, piercing their heart. A killing blow. The hooded man landed on the deck of boat on nothing but his tip toes, and sat onto his heels.
"Move aside. Tis not you I want." The cloaked man glared behind his hood.
"My soul must leave my body before I let you past." The man in red growled, drawin the first three inches of his blade with his thumb.
"Such a large sword, for such a small person." The hooded man chuckled, drawing a thin, but ten foot long blade.
"Tis a duel you want, tis a duel you get." The man in red clenched his teeth, pulling his blade out with two hands. With a struggle, the man in red held his sword out in front of his body. The hooded man grasped hold of his blade with two hanfs and raised it over his head. The hooded man began to run quickly at the man in red, taking it step by step.
With a grunt, the man in red swung his sword out to the side, using a large amount of strength. The hooded man ducked as the blade skinned his head, jumping up. As he jumped up, he lunged his blade into his opponents shoulder, sending the blade clean through.
"Come on you dog! Give me a real fight!" The cloaked man hissed.
Finally done, Veer left the hide and skeleton of his prey behind as he walked back into the trees. The area he inhabited was prone to hunters from 3 nearby villages, and 2 tribes. He still couldn't figure out exactly why he had taken a liking to an area populated with the beings that feared him. Maybe it was just instinct.
The sound of a fight soon hit the ears of Veer, well hearing holes to be more specific, which triggered an instinct that he had not experienced in a while, protectiveness. Veer began running, only to be attacked by the scent and sight of a burning forest. This only began to make him more aggressive.
From the tree line burst Veer in a full charge. He quickly noted the two combatants, the one in red appeared to have some extent of magic, making him a being that Veer protected by instinct. Thus, the monster's charge headed to the man in the hood, with full intent to kill.
Verza stood in the heavens, they seemed to float on a cloud thousands of kilometers in the sky. Verza could see all the living on the world though, for every single soul carried a part of him. Verza was in his godly form, a towering red dragon, also known as the Red Talon by some human tribes. Verza stood at fifty feet tall and almost a hundred feet long form smoke billowing snout to barbed tail. His full wingspan was vast as any canyon at about 200 feet. Verza let himself fall over the edge of his godly kingdom and plummeted towards the ground at great speed. Wind ripped past his wings letting out a screech as the air scraped over his scaley skin and the thin red membrane of verza's wings. The fire god fell head first towards the earth, he slightly spread his wings and directed himself towards Yort. Verza had business there that he needed help with from the mortals he had given life to.
Verza opened his mouth and let fire billow out, yet all this did was cloak him in intense, orange and yellow flames. Verza looked like a huge fireball plummeting to the earth towards a forest near a few small villages.
"What in the hell..?" The man in red looked at the creature, holding the hilt of the sword sticking out of his shoulder.
When the window is right, if it ever comes, Veer will jump on the hooded man and go straight for his neck. Should he be attacked, he will jump around, taking a few moments to recover from each leap and skid.
Verza could see deer running and even a few coyotes feasting on a wild mander, abandoning their meal. The mander was a turkey like creature, but it walked on four legs and it's wings were finely coloured. Verza frowned as he saw a dead creation of his, but thatw as the circle of life, and how the world worked. Verza pointed his hand and the air and let out a huge gout of fire. The fire shot from his palm like a beam of pure energy. it was a thing of chaotic beauty.
"Give me your best shot." He chuckled. He man in Red rose from the ground. With mighty determination, he raised his blade over his head using two hands, and with a circle, mixed in with an extension of the arm, the hooded man's head fell clean off, slashing the hood clean off.
With some quiet clicking, Veer slowly moved to and around the man in red. He was attempting to see if he could help the wound, but it was not something that a beast would see every day.
Then it hit Veer. The humans know a lot about healing, and a town was not too far off in the distance. At full sprint, it would take at most fifteen minutes for Veer to reach it WITH the human on his back. As such, the beast turned around and crouched in such a way that beckoned the man in red to ride him.
"D-do you want me to ride on you?" He asked, shakily.
If he got on Veer's back, Veer would begin his sprint as soon as the man had a good grip. He would run for a good 12 to 14 minutes to reach the little town in hopes that someone their could heal the injured man that he carried. When at the town, Veer would drop the man in red gently on the ground, so that the humans could see that he meant them no harm.
It took maybe 13 minutes to reach the small town, including Veer slowing himself down when approaching. As he walked into the town square with the man in red on his back, no one moved closer. They only offered stares to the beast. Veer then put the man in red on the ground, backing up far enough that a young looking monk walked over to the man in red to investigate his wounds.

So I'm interested, but don't know if I want to jump in yet until I'd have an idea or characters etc.
But I do love the open sand-box concept. Definitely tempting.

I'll get a character up sooner or later. I'm hoping today sometime. ;3
Re: Land of Yort: Open World Sanbox
This roleplay is for whatever level you are. It does not matter. I have been roleplaying for many years, so I can help you out. I would like maybe three sentences minimum. Just so you know, we all have something to reply to.
Re: Land of Yort: Open World Sanbox
And I might consider joining the RP but I do have one little question: Is this RP more for beginners? How much do we plan on writing here?
