For as long as anyone can remember, Santa Claus has always been just a myth. But all myths have a truth to it, don’t they? They always originate from something, somewhere.

Santa Claus is in fact real
But there are no elves

Hidden away on the North Pole is Santa’s Village. Its residents consist of Santa Claus himself and rescued children.

These children have had a hard life. Most of them were abused and neglected by their parents, even abandoned. Some have been on the brink of death, and some have been put into the foster system only to be moved from one terrible home to the next. All his life, Santa Claus has been inviting these children to the North Pole to live a better life and live among others who have suffered the same.

The children receive an envelope that contains a letter and one ticket with a train station location and a boarding time. If they decide to believe and board the train, they are taken to the greatest place they’ll ever know- the North Pole.

Here, Santa and past generations help each individual discover their inner talents and their passions. They are then assigned a job there to contribute to the prosperity of the village and gain practice with their talent. These talents can vary from cooking and baking to toy design to animal care.

When a child becomes eighteen, they are given the choice of returning to normal society, or to stay for six more years as a mentor to the new generations. When they leave, they are given enough money to pay for basic needs and rent for six months. From there, it’s up to them to make the right decisions and live their lives independently.

When a child is given the chance of a lifetime, it’s up to them to believe in it or not.

  • Be active.
Interact with all players and plot with each other. You don’t have to write long, long paragraphs every day, all the time— but a nice, lengthy post maybe once a week makes everyone happy, especially the moderators. If you are inactive for five days and did not inform the GM, your role will be removed.
  • No god-modding or OOC drama.
There is only one exception to god-modding— you plan out what is going to happen in the para/conversation beforehand, and the other person is fine with you god-modding their character. But other then that, just play your own character, and don’t make them superior to others. As for OOC drama; none of it will be tolerated. If you have a problem with another player, please tell us. If you don’t, there’s no way of the mods knowing and therefor nothing we can do about it. So, you can either inform us or deal with being kicked out of the roleplay.
  • Be literate and roleplay properly.
We don’t want to see any emoticons or lowercase I’s, got it? It’s unattractive and, frankly, embarrassing. Make sure your sentences are complete and both your spelling and grammar are correct. It’s alright if you sometimes misspell something, because everyone makes mistakes (cue Hannah Montana’s ‘Nobody’s Perfect’) but please try not to make it frequent! Also, actions (eg. *smiles* or -smiles- or [smiles]) are a huge turnoff. We ask that you do not use them.
  • Stay in character.
If your character’s biography says they’re a sweet, caring person, don’t turn them into some mean hothead with no care in the world. At least not without development. Development is a very important thing, kids. Keep that in mind while playing.
  • Know the roleplay.
Read both the plot and all the bios beside your own character’s. We don’t want anyone to join this roleplay and have no idea what’s going on. It wouldn’t be realistic if the characters were talking about incorrect things or their facts were wrong. What we’re asking isn’t much, really, so please make sure you take the small amount of time to do so. If you’re confused about anything, ask me in the OOC thread or PM me.
  • No Mary-Sue’s, or Gary Stue’s, or whatever you’d like to call them.
Do I even have to elaborate on this? Seriously, don’t do it. If you don’t know what a Mary-Sue is, it’s basically a character with no flaws— they have a flashing personality, beautiful everything, and a simply perfect life. A Gary Stu is the same thing, but a male version. But really, no one likes these, they’re boring and frustrating, and just— just don’t do it. For everyone’s sak, mostly the GM.
  • In-character drama is welcomed.
Encouraged, actually. Unlike OOC drama, IC drama is fun and exciting— well, at least for the players. The characters may disagree. Realistically, though, it’s much more fun to post about a character’s troubled relationship with their parents than about how nice it is outside. Make your character’s life full of danger. It may break your heart to do so, but hey, you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do.
  • Get to know everyone.
We’re all a family here, so let’s treat each other like family, yeah? Be friendly with each other, be weird, be cool, whatever. Be yourself. This is a judge-free zone, so you have to swear you won’t laugh at anyone— instead, comfort them or laugh with them. Right? Right. Interact in the OOC thread and make friends.
This is a mature roleplay.
Sex, drug, and alcohol use is allowed. If you aren’t comfortable with mature themes, we don’t discourage you to join this roleplay. But you should just know that mature/suggestive themes are likely to take place, and you should be aware of them. It is not required that you have to write or read anything of this nature, and all of these things should have a warning at the beginning of the post, but still. If anything does happen, the GM doesn’t want anyone in the group to feel uncomfortable or pressured.
  • If you’re going on a hiatus or leaving, please inform us.
It’s obvious why we’d like to know if you’re going on hiatus— so the GM can decide whether or not to remove your character. But the GM would like to know if you’re deactivating because… if you by chance aren’t pleased with the people in the game, or how things are going, we would like to be able to change things in the roleplay based on others’ thoughts. If you have to leave due to personal reasons, that’s completely fine.
  • Finally
Have fun, Runaways.

Re: Santa's Runaways

IMDB is my go-to place when I'm in a rut. In fact, there is a list specifically for sixteen-year-old actors.

Re: Santa's Runaways

I can't find a good pic. Does anyone know of a good actor around sixteen since it seems we're doing real pics?
