Fairy Tale Base

"Alright Vince when you're ready we'll head out." Readjusting himself Ikarugi sat up and stretched his arms out "And who knows sometimes raptors will eat things that people drop in fear so if you're lucky we might find some valuables. I remember once that Alexander found a diamond platinum ring, he used it to fund the start of our guild 2 years ago." Shaking his head he stretched out his back and looked to Vince one last time before heading out. "You're in charge that means it's up to you to keep everyone else alive remember that. We'll leave when you're prepared, but just remember when in charge you put the group before yourself the man Alexander... He taught me that and I respect him more than anyone else." Coughing slightly he concluded. "So yeah find someone you look up to and pursue their values you could even become stronger than you are now, with the right teacher of course." With that said Ikarugi walked out of the room with his hands in his pockets headed to his bedroom to pass time.

Conner woke up and gathered everything he may need and even made sure he had a nice supply of the stones that Alexander made to be used as some sort of archive transveiver. Conner made his way through the guild commons slowly and casually so if anyone wanted to communicate with him before he had left for his mission. Conner then got to the the doorway in front of the staircase to the entrance and he stopped and turned around to face the commons giving everyone one last chance to confront him before he had left. While still standing in the doorway Conner tried to say something to Alexander over archive when Conner noticed that the archive was down. Before any thoughts of worry could enter Conner's mind he would check the the library first; so Conner walked away from the the doorway in casual hustled manner and eventually made his way to the library and felt such relief as saw Alexander sitting at his desk having a conversation with River. Conner walked over to Alexander's desk and said "Hey Alexander I'm about to head out on my mission, thought I'd ask if there's anything u want me to do before I leave. Also I was going to do this little check-in with you over the archive, but I guess its down...? Why is the archive down? Is everything okay?" Conner continued to stand there near Alexander's desk patiently awaiting an answer before he would head out.

Conner heard what Alexander had to say and he simply nodded. Conner then watched as Aria came down from her reading space and began to converse with River. Conner waited for a pause to insert his input and stated "So it looks like the three of us are in this together now. I'm ready to go whenever so I'm ready when you two are, when do you want to head out?" Conner said with a slight smile on his face.

As the slight girl pushed his pointing finger away, Briar tried to slump but realized it only made him lay completely flat on the ground in an awkward position. It only furthered the awkwardness when she stood from her crouching position, causing him to have to roll over and sit back on his haunches to see her.

"Have faith in your abilities?" He questioned. "It'd be a little easier if I knew what the hell those were. And it's not exactly nice to leave for months without any notice either." He ignored the comment about his 'view', remembering she was one of the younger members of the guild, anything he said might actually be a little offensive. "Besides, shouldn't you have a chaperone with you when you disappear like that? You're like what? Ten?" The comment wasn't directed as a jab at her, just one of the many times he just worded what popped into his head instead of thinking out a response.

"Alexander..." Briar relayed the message over archive as he got back to his feet. "Akumu's back. She seems like she's in a...uh....good mood? Anyway, I'm sending her your way."

Scratching his head, Briar let out a bit of a yawn and walked a bit past her. "Well I've got a few things I'm trying to accomplish before tomorrow. But since you're back, you should check in with Alexander. I'd try the Library." Continuing walking, He shoved his left hand in his pocket and lifted his right over his head in a wave behind him as he passed her. "See ya around. And welcome back."

Conner looked up at River as she replied to the question he had asked her prior.

"We are ready to leave whenever you are, it was originally your mission after all I just tacked another one onto the end of it."

Conner thought about it for a minute and simply said to River with Aria listening "Well I'm ready to go as soon as possible and whenever you two are, and we don't necessarily have to do my mission first. If you wanted we could take priority of your request and do that first. So whichever you want to do fist is fine with me, and we'll leave whenever you two are ready to go."

Noticing out of instinct Conner looked up and saw Akumu walking in, and out of some excitement of seeing a guild member he hasn't seen in awhile Conner threw his hand in the air and begun to wave and shouting "Heey Akumu welcome back! When did you get back?"

Conner nodded at Akumu and stated "It was nice seeing you again, and maybe we can talk some more when I get back from this mission." Conner said with a large smile on his face and scratching the back of his head. Conner then turned to notice that Aria and River were waiting on him; he turned and reapplied the smile to his face and said " Sorry about that just catching up with a friend I haven't seen in awhile ya'know, but anyways I suppose we're all ready to go so I guess we should get going. Seeing as it's already mid afternoon we probably don't want to spend to much time out at night." Conner then stood awaiting a response from both of them.

Picking up a stick, Briar tore his gaze from the rock and focused on the sand where he sat, drawing a crude interpretation of what he was trying to accomplish. It's simple... he thought. You are me little stickman, and these are the rocks. He moved the stick in his hand to indicate the circles representing the rocks. When you hit, that one should break, then that one, then that one, and that one, and ESPECIALLY that one. He said to the last circle. He lifted his gaze to stare at the standing rock once again. "But you didn't break, did you?" He asked aloud to the silent rock.

Scrubbing his hand through the drawing, he brushed himself off and began to walk back to the guild entrance. "Screw this." But even as Briar said the words, he began thinking again how to make his magic stronger, or at least more versatile. But how? He thought again, as he pulled out a box of crackers and began to much on them. Wayland was the obvious choice, with his magic he could probably just look at Briar and give him suggestions. But Wayland wasn't exactly in top shape at the moment. He needed a teacher, but the only other Break user he ever met was already dead, buried by Briar himself. And how could he learn something new without a teacher...?

Books... The single word echoed in his head as he groaned and walked into the guild. Reading was boring, and usually only made Briar want to go and figure things out for himself. But the library might give him a start at least. Heading there, he walked in to find Akumu there already and talking to Alexander, the person he should probably talk to about a book. But off to the side, he spotted Aria and River talking to Conner and another idea popped into his head. Conner's magic was Dragonslayer Magic, taught by a dragon...

I need a Dragon! He thought excitedly, just before remembering that there were no dragons left. The only other option he could think of was Alexander, who was currently speaking with Akumu. He knew he would have to wait and walked through the library, carefully avoiding the table he had broken earlier and coming to a large sturdy bookshelf a little ways away from the rest of the occupants. He used his Grapple to hoist himself to the very top of the bookshelf close to the roof and sat with his feet hanging over the edge, overlooking all the library's current occupants. Pulling a book from the shelf under him, he read he title while he waited. A Chronological Timeline of Magical Events Throughout Fiore...

"Oh god," He thought. "Shoot me now..."

"That's fine, if you would like to stay here until tomorrow to catch up you can, my mission really doesn't have any time requirements we can take as long as we want. If not we can I have no problems with leaving now."

Conner smiled after hearing River's comment and said "Thank you i appreciate the concern, but i can just as easily catch up when we come back. I also still have no preference if we leave now or in the morning." Conner then turned to Aria and asked "What do you think? Do you want to go as soon as possible or wait until morning?" While awaiting a response Conner thought about if he had to make the decision would it be best to wait until morning and have a full day to travel or to travel through half the night when the desert is cool rather than incredibly hot. Conner still was not sure which option was best, but he was leaning more towards the option of leaving soon.
