Abby continued to dance with Cas in silence. Enjoying being with him again. It was almost like yesterday was some kind of dream. She was glad that it wasn't. The last thing she wants is to wake up and be told that Mr. Perfect never existed. Just that thought alone started to sadden Abby. She didn't want Cas to be a dream. He felt real for now and that was all she needed to make it through this party. "How do you like the party so far?" That question had many different answers to it. Abigail didn't want to be rude to the people hosting the party, by saying it was too formal and annoying. But she didn't want to lie. She couldn't lie even if she wanted too. Anyone lying to face like Cas has no soul. He is not someone you could easily lie too. "Umm well its better now that I have someone to dance with." Abigail wouldn't have stayed the whole time if it were up to her. Faking anything to go to the studio would have been better than this. But this is great now. Dancing with Cas is the most the fun she has had since she has woken up this morning.

Image

Cordelia moved some hair behind her ear as she was talking to Aidan. Adjusting the dress on her body she gave a quick look around for Leon. But he wasn't even in the room. She was hoping that he didn't just ditch her at the party. The angel wouldn't be happy if he did that. They both had to suffer at the party. No if, ands, or buts about it. Hopefully he turns up later. Aidan pulled her from her thoughts when he asked Cordelia to dance. She nodded and took his hand. "I just want to say that I'm not really food at dancing." She wanted to warn him just in case he was really god at dancing. She wouldn't want to mess up in front of him. She got her hands around him and waited for Aidan before they started to dance.

Image

Roman couldn't believe that he convinced the cold hearted man to stay with him. He was sure that he would get a glare and rip away from him. His heart warmed and he slowly released Leon's hand. But he regretted it immediately. He liked being close with people. It was what he did. But he couldn't hold onto Leon's hand for long. Through the doors you could still here the music and that gave Roman an idea. "Leon would you like to dance with me?" He asked, extending a hand out to him. Being rejected was not an option. Roman doesn't really enjoy taking 'no' for an answer.

Castiel nodded in agreement to Abigail's answer. Truth is, if it wasn't for her, he would have made up some excuse to ditch the party. All his least favorite people gathered in one location would not have been his ideal night, but Abby had shown up and saved his night. By the answer she gave him, she was thinking the same thing. Castiel watched her, mainly her facial features, admiring every bit of innocence she had. A small strand of hair feel over her eyes and he carefully tucked it behind her ear just as she always did, his gaze not leaving hers for an instant. That is until he saw a familiar face walking closer, actually, two familiar faces. Cordelia was with that same man from the cafe. The man that Castiel had determined was Abigail's brother. And by the look that man was giving him, he didn't seem too fond of Castiel. That didn't bother him in the slightest though, what did bother him was the fact that Cordelia was with him yet again. The man that just so happened to be Abigail's brother. Abigail, the girl that seemed to have put a spell on him somehow. It couldn't all just be a happy coincidence.

Image

Cordelia took his hand, warning him that she wasn't very good at dancing, and Aidan couldn't help but smile. If only she knew. "You can't be any worse than me" he assured her, and he firmly believed that. Abigail seemed to have received all of the dancing genes because he had absolutely nothing going for him in that department. He lead Cordelia onto the dance floor, searching for an empty spot near his sister and the stranger. Once he found it, he headed straight for it, making sure to give the man the "look" that he usually gave any boy that even thought about coming near his little sister. However, unlike the rest, this man didn't seemed phased. To make matters worse, he was staring right at Cordelia. How dare he check out another woman while he's dancing with Abigail? Then again, they could just know each other. Aidan felt stupid for jumping to conclusions, but regardless, he had to get him away from Abby. "Who is that?" he questioned once they were close enough to see them, but far enough that they couldn't hear each other's conversation.

Image

Roman slowly let go of his hand and Leon couldn't help but feel embarrassed at how disappointed he felt Luckily it was dark because he could fee his cheeks heating up yet again. This time Cordelia wouldn't come to his rescue, she was too busy flirting. Not that he wasn't happy for her. He really was happy that she found someone she liked other than himself. Luckily for her, she didn't have to pretend not to like him because it would be considered "imperfect" or whatever reason the council liked to use to make Leon's life a living hell. Speaking of Cordelia, he thought he'd pass her a quick message to let her know he was still in the building. He pulled his phone out to do so, but was interrupted and very much distracted by Roman's question. "here?...In a dark empty hallway?" Leon questioned, an unamused tone in his voice, while his insides screamed YES as loud as they could. "No thanks" He hesitated then turned slightly and took a few steps towards the way to the main hall, then stopped, cursed himself for being so weak and turned back around. "Just one" he stated firmly, putting his phone back in his pocket. He wanted to dance with him very much, but he sure as hell wouldn't do it out there where everyone could see them. His resolve was crumbling quickly, but he stood his ground by keeping a safe distance from the man and a somewhat cold expression.

Abigail continued to blush as Casteel just stared at her. But she couldn't look away this time. She was enjoying looking at him look at her. He wasn't exactly smiling, but he looked happy. Happier than when she first saw him this evening. Mr. Perfect looked like someone who needed to smile all the time. She would happily be the one to do that for him. That thought kept going through her head. I want to make Mr. Perfect happy It was on instant replay. For a moment it was the only thing she heard in her head. Not that it really mattered. Unless Cas could read minds, her thoughts were safe. Give his face a break from her eyes, she gave a quick glance around the room. Her eyes caught Aidan's, but she wasn't happy about what it looked like he was doing. Abby looked at her brother with a small glare. He was not allowed to ruin this for her. Her attention returned to her dance partner, and she rested her head on his chest. A small smile formed on her face. The gentle sway to the music was more than enough to get through the night. But Aidan would not be happy if he ruined this for Abby.

Image

Cordelia followed Aidan towards an empty spot to dance. When she saw where he was headed her eyes widened a bit. She was trying to stay as far away from Cas as possible. Yet here she was. Dancing near him. The angel gave the god a once over and then paid attention to her date of the evening. Their dancing was simple so that the people around them couldn't tell they had no dancing skill. Cordelia was actually into the dance, paying attention to the words of the music, and trying to enjoy the time she was having with Aidan. "Who is that?" At first she was about to ask who, but then she realized he was talking about Casteel. Cordelia wanted to tell Aidan that he was a heartless jerk that assist in the kidnapping of innocent human beings. But she held her tongue. She looked over in Cas' and the girl he was dancing with direction once more. She felt a bit bad for whoever he was dancing with. "I work for him with the angel disease." Honesty was the best policy. Unless the truth could get the person killed. Than this half lie was more than enough. She didn't work for him. She worked for his dad, but she just wasn't allowed to openly disrespect him. Cordelia has yet to follow any orders given by Cas. In reality she has tried to mess up his life. That reminded her. She looked at him dancing. She couldn't tell if her potion was working. If Leon was here, she could get him to help her figure it out.

Image

Roman was getting rather anxious waiting for the answer. He wanted to just grab Leon and dance with him, no questions asked. But that would technically be assault if the blonde resisted. It was best if Leon agreed with him. "here?...In a dark empty hallway?" Roman nodded, but he wasn't happy with how unamused Leon sounded. Granted that was just his voice. He was still hopeful that Leon would give Ro a chance tonight. "No thanks" The frown was clear on his face as Leon turned to leave. Roman doesn't usually get rejected. Ever. He was too persistent to accept no's from anyone. He was way to handsome and charming for anyone to say no to him. Roman was ready to stop him and try again, but then a miracle happened. Leon turned around to agree to one dance. That was all Roman needed. His frown quickly turned back into a small smile. Roman took hold of Leon's hand and pulled him closer. Not to close to cause discomfort, but close enough. A hand found his waist and he raised the other hand. Once Leon loosened up a little, Roman started to dance with the cute stranger. But of course Roman can't really keep his mouth shut. "Can I ask you something?" He wasn't waiting long enough to hear Leon say no again. "Why do you always seem angry, Leon?" Roman was referring to the glares, the harsh tone, the standoffish attitude, and the barely qualify as sentences speech. "I am just curious."

Castiel s attention was completely devided. He wanted to pay attention to nothing and no one other than Abigail, but his instincts told him to keep an eye on Cordelia. He continued to switch his gaze between his dancing partner and the rebellious angel. His eyes met Cordelia's for an instant and he gave her one of those looks that she knew fairly well. The look that said "I know you're up to something" and Cordelia knew Castiel well enough to be certain that he wouldn't rest until he figured it out. His attention remained on her and her dance partner, that is until he felt a soft pressure against his chest. He glanced down and couldn't help but to smile a bit when he realized it was Abigail, resting against his chest. His arms tightened around her waist the slightest bit, bringing her maybe a few centimeters closer, and he continued to follow along with the beat of the song. The subject of Cordelia left his mind completely, as if he had never been thinking about it in the first place. Any other time he would have noticed the change in himself immediately, but the warm touch of this human girl seemed to be blocking any use of common sense.

Image

Aidan had half a mind to run up and pull Abigail away from the strange man and as far away from there as possible, specially after seeing how close she seemed to be with him already. In fact, he was seconds from doing so, but Cordelia's answer stopped him dead in his tracks. "Oh he's your boss?". It probably wasn't the best idea to attack him after all. "Is he married? Does he have a girlfriend of any sort? Is he some sort of man whore?" at this point Aidan didn't care if he sounded crazy or over protective, he needed to know what this man was like because, by the looks of it, Abigail was already way too into him. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to disrespect him but he better not be trying to get into my sister's pants" he said both apologetically and with a threatening tone. "I don't like the way he's looking at her" he muttered, keeping an eye on the pair. Cordelia probably thought he was insane, most likely, but Abigail is the only family he has and he would do anything to protect her.

Image

Leon regretted his decision as soon as the words left his mouth. Why was he doing this to himself? He had a bad habit of setting himself up for heartache and this time was no different. Roman seemed to like his looks, and that's all people ever liked about him. No one ever tried to go deeper and he had no reason to believe this time was different. Not to mention the fact that this man was human and mortal, aside from the fact he was male. If the council ever found out… his thoughts were interrupted when he felt a hand on his waist and realized soon after that they were now dancing. He lowered his gaze to stare at his chest. He didn't dare to look him in the eyes because, no matter how harsh Leon made himself look and sound, his eyes almost always gave him away.  "Can I ask you something?" He didn't give him much time to respond.  "Why do you always seem angry, Leon?". Leon only continued to stare at the ground. "Does it matter?". The truth was, there were so many reasons Leon could give him. Like the fact he had been hurt one too many times, the fact he had to abandon his family, the fact that every second of every day he had to hide who he really was both from the council and from humans like him or the fact that without his glares and cold attitude he would have crumbled long ago. But of course he couldn't tell him any of this. So he settled for a simple answer. "It's safer".

Abigail tried not to focus on her brother and the girl he was with. She just wanted to have a good time. And she was going to have one. The brunette kept her head on Cas' chest as they danced together. Her eyes closed so that she could focus on the music and his warmth. It was almost as if no one else was around. She felt Mr. Perfect pull her even closer. By the way they were acting, you would believe that no one else was in the room. It was like they were back at the studio. Just a stereo and them. A brighter more genuine smile formed on Abby's face. Now she didn't want to leave the party. In fear this would be the final time she would ever get to hold a man this perfect. The last time she would get to hold a moment and call it her own. It needs to continue beyond the end of the party. Beyond tomorrow. Forever. Abby wanted forever. To live in this moment with him, forever. Abby could think of nothing greater. Besides getting her teaching degree. Just then someone taped her shoulder and she was almost dragged back into the reality she was trying to escape. An elder man that almost looked like Cas, stood before the dancing couple. He smiled as politely as he could at Miss Abigail. "Hello Miss. Mind if I steal my son?" Abby's smile faded a bit and shook her head lightly. Of course she minded. Taking away her only perfect thing in the world. She moved away from Cas a bit.

It was evident how much Aidan cared for his sister. It was how Cordelia felt about Leon. She would do just about anything for him. If Roman turned out to be a threat, she would end him as well. But Leon likes him, so Cordelia is being forced to play nice. But at the same time she is also trying to give Leon his happiness. The angel gave one more look over at the couple dancing. Then out of no where she saw a smile. And not the fake smile that everyone was used to. Casteel actually smiled at the young girl he was holding. This was good news to Cordelia, possibly bad news for Aidan. The angel was trying very hard to contain her happiness. Her potion had worked which meant that the council would fail from the inside out. If she wasn't already dancing, she would have broke out in a miniature celebratory dance. "Is he married? Does he have a girlfriend of any sort? Is he some sort of man whore?" Cordelia raised an eyebrow at the amount questions Aidan was asking. "I'm not sure." The angel tried to avoid Cas in all aspects of his life. She knows nothing about him. Besides he disregards human life like the rest of the council. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to disrespect him but he better not be trying to get into my sister's pants" Cordelia could understand how he was feeling. If Aidan couldn't tell, by the way Cas was looking at his sister it wasn't like prey. Almost like care or compassion. Cordelia couldn't wait to tell Leon. Just then head council member also known as Casteel's father broke up the couple. It was what Aidan wanted anyway. Cordelia didn't even look at the head council member. He didn't like her either. "I'm going to text Leon really quickly. Just to make sure Roman hasn't kidnapped him." she said teasingly.
[TO] Leon
[MSG] I hope you are playing nice with Roman. Also IT WORKED! Casteel has feelings. You should see how he feels about the human girl he was dancing with. I'm so excited. So be happy our night just got better.

The message was sent and her attention was back on Aidan.

Roman didn't like the lack of eye contact Leon was giving him. But at least he was dancing. It was a start in whatever relationship they were having. Roman was still debating whether or not to try and just be friends or get more. He was leaning towards getting a bit more than an occasional hello. He would like to attack Leon's face without permission as well. But later. Right now, Roman was to get to know his cute stranger. "It's safer" Leon finally responded to the question and it just left Roman with even more questions. What was safer? Who is safer for? Who is he protecting? Is there anything Roman could do to help? There were just many questions of that nature floating around in his mind. Roman didn't have much of a filter and would not have a problem asking all of these questions. But he didn't want to scare Leon. They were finally holding each other. "Who is it safer for?" He kept dancing, looking at Leon, attempting to find his eyes. It was hard. Eventually Leon would have to look at him. "Are you in hiding?" By that he meant 'was Leon hiding his homosexuality.' Roman was completely open with no shame. He was kind of hoping Leon was the same.

Castiel was enjoying the warmth coming from Abigail more than he would have liked to admit. He held her close, the smile very evident on his face, and he didn't even mind. He didn't care to mind. Everything seemed alright, perfect…but it didn't last long. "Hello Miss. Mind if I steal my son?". His smile immediately evaporated at the sound of that voice. Abigail moved away from him and he quickly snapped his head around to look at the man. "She minds" Cas all but growled at his father, whom responded with a glare. "Castiel I would appreciate it if you listened to me for once in your life". Castiel sneered at the man and took a step closer. "And by listen you mean let you puppet me around like you do with everyone else, right?". He could feel his face heating up, which was new. Castiel and his father argued constantly, but the lack of emotion prevented it from escalating. This time it was different.

Image

There were so many more questions Aidan wanted to ask Cordelia about this man, but by her reaction, she wasn't very fond of him. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable with his overprotective tendencies. He remained quiet and continued to dance slow enough that he wouldn't mess up. She then asked if she could check on her brother and Aidan nodded with a small smile. He wondered if Roman had been able to get anywhere with the boy. He'd have to ask him later, and tease him a little. No one had ever rejected his friend so coldly before. He was interested to see what would happen. "Take your time" he added. He continued to watch Abigail, just as another man walked up to the two. Judging on looks alone, the man was the stranger's father or older brother at the very least. Aidan pondered the opportunity to walk up and pull Abigail away from the two while they were speaking. Part of him wanted to go for it, but another part of him didn't want to leave Cordelia dancing on her own, so he remained in his spot for her sake.

Image

Leon's gaze remained glued to the floor. Roman's questions caught him by surprise, mostly because he didn't know what to answer. Was he in hiding? Yes, constantly, but he couldn't tell him why. Of course, he had an idea of what Roman meant by asking that. He was obviously more clever than he looked. He could feel Roman's gaze burning his skin, but he refused to look up. "Hiding from what?" he muttered, even though he knew what he meant, he wanted the straight answer from Roman himaelf. In the meantime he could figure out how to answer. Perhaps the best option was to lie. A lie big enough that would push Roman away for good. That would keep him a safe distance from him. His eyes wandered from tile to tile when he heard his phone buzz yet again. He pulled it out, still keeping up with Roman's steps, and read the message from Cordelia. A small smile spread across his lips. This was good. Good news indeed. This could be the start of so much. Perhaps it could be the start of his way to freedom, a world where he won't have to hide anything from anyone. He quickly answered.
[To Cordelia]
[That's great news…keep me updated. I'll join you soon, if I make it out of here alive]

He set his phone back in his pocket and continued to dancs, eyes glued to the man's shoes.

Abigail did not know what to do. She wasn't going to keep a son away from his father. But by the way Cas' smile faded, it was clear that he didn't want to be with his father. The brunette was at a lost. Completely confused by the relationship the two had. But she wasn't curious to figure it out at this current moment in time. Quickly she looked around, rubbing her right arm with her left hand. There had to be an excuse to walk away. She could not use her brother because he was with someone. Roman was no where in sight. And it's rude just to pull out her phone in the middle of all of this. It would look like she was video taping. She was thinking that maybe she claim to feel ill. But then again her brother would then follow her home thinking that she was truly ill. Abigail didn't have any ideas at the moment. She continued to look down at the ground, taking another tiny step away from Cas. The brunette felt a bit trapped. Any other normal girl would just walk away, but she didn't want to leave Cas' side. That would mean going back to interacting with people she didn't want to be around. Awkwardly, she stayed. Listening to the argument that was brewing.

Image

Cordelia read the message that was sent back from Leon, happy that he was happy with her. This was going to be a good day. When she looked back up, Aidan was still dancing, his sister wasn't making eye contact, and a fight was about to start. Cordelia didn't like these arguments. No one on Eden did. They should be meaningful and with reason, but they weren't. They just disagreed on everything. If the angel could, she would keep them separated. But that would mean keeping one of them entertained and she would rather just have them tear each other apart. And the thought of watching Cas argue with his father with these new emotions would actually make this a fight worth watching. The angel stopped dancing and looked at Aidan. "I'm kind of thirsty. Could we head over to the refreshment table?" Cordelia could watch the two argue and continue to spend time with Aidan. It was perfect plan. Unless Aidan didn't want to get something to drink. Then this would backfire and she would need a new plan. But today, Cordelia was going to try and think positively.

Image

Roman raised an eyebrow at the questioned returned to him. He was wondering if Leon had no idea what he was talking about. But there was no other way to phrase it without sounding quite rude. Although Roman never censored himself around others before, he was trying not to scare Leon away. He enjoyed having him around. It was nice to be around someone that he was sexually attracted too and intellectually interested in. Currently it was keeping Roman on his toes. Just as the curious man was going to rephrase the message he saw Leon smile at a text message. Roman loosened his grip a little so that he could respond, but once the phone was away he pulled Leon close again. "So you do smile?" he teased lightly. Roman smiled at him, still trying to get Leon to look at him. "You should do that more often. It's nice." He complimented. If the roles were reversed and Leon smiled at him, Roman would have just caved and done whatever he wanted. "But back to my question." He said still thinking of a nice way to rephrase the question. But Roman couldn't think of one. "Do people know you are a homosexual? Or would I an your sister be the only ones that know?" Roman was very good at figuring out who was gay and who wasn't. It was a gift and a curse. It wasn't hard to figure out that his stranger was gay.

Castiel ' s father looked back and forth between him and Abigail and then locked eyes with his son. "Show me some respect" He sneered back and Castiel let out a humorless laugh. "Earn it". The room was starting to fall silent. It was clear to everyone around that this argument wasn't the usual pointless argument the two had back on eden on an every day basis. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't speak to me that way in front of everyone, you ungrateful brat". A small sinister smile spread over Castiel's face as he listened to his father insult him. "Finally showing your true colors father?". He took yet another step towards him. The tension becoming thicker by the second. The people around them slowly began to back away, as if they were trying to distance themselves from an atomic bomb. "Then tell me dear father, what should I be grateful for?. Castiel could feel something new coursing through his entire body. It felt bitter sweet. As if his blood had been injected with pure venom.

Image

Aidan followed Cordelia to the drinks. He actually needed a bit of a refreshment himaelf. As they walked, he kept an eye on the man Abigail was dancing with. He seemed to be arguing with the man that could possibly be his father. They reached the table and Aidan got a drink for each of them and handed one to her. He then turned to face the rest of the room, his gaze immediately fell into the man again. Things seemed to be getting intense, and Abigail looked uncomfortable. Maybe this was his opportunity. She was probably too shy to walk away. He took a step towards them then stopped, wanting to get a bit of information first. "Is that his father? " he asked, turning to Cordelia. "They don't seem to get along very well"

Image

Leon had tried to hide his face from the man as much as possible, but apparently he didn't do very well. Roman caught him smiling. Not a good thing for the "heartless" attitude he'd been trying so hard to give off. He immediately frowned after Roman brought it up and finally looked up to look at him. Well, to glare at him really, then looked back down. It was quiet for a few secomds, until Roman brought back the subject from before. "Do people know you are a homosexual? Or would I an your sister be the only ones that know?". Leon felt his cheeks heat up as if by instinct. So much for lying to him. He remained quiet for a bit too long. "Why are you so sure I am?". He knew there was no point in denying it now, but then again, what if there was someone listening in on them. What if a council member or one of the angels walk by? "You don't know me". He finally gathered up the courage to look up at him. His tone cold and harsh, but his eyes full of pain. He knew Roman would notice, how could he not. But anyone that might be spying on them wouldn't. "I'm not like that". A small stab of guilt and pain hit him right in the stomach as soon as his spoke those words, and he knew it was obvious in his eyes and possibly his face.

Abigail was chocking on the tension. She didn't know what to do. She needed to be saved. Her cheeks were turning red and she wasn't even in the conversation. Finally she looked up to see what the two looked like arguing. It was scary. Cas looked a tad crazy, like he was seconds from blowing his top. But the father seem to have no expression. Almost as if his son's outburst didn't have an effect on him at all. Without even realizing it she was taking a few more steps away from Cas. Who right now was no longer Mr. Perfect. Just Mr. Angry. "E-excuse me..." She barely said it above a whisper. Not really caring if anyone heard her or not. Turning on her heels, the brunette headed out the front door of the college. She needed to breathe. Never has she been near two bitter and angry people before in her life. The tension was killing her. Abby felt bad just leaving Cas, but she couldn't be in there anymore. People were staring at them. At her. She couldn't just sit there waiting for someone to address. Hopefully her brother didn't watch her chicken out the way she did. Slowly, Abby exhaled once the fresh air hit her face.

Cordelia walked with Aidan towards the refreshments. The head angel kept a eye on her bosses. It wouldn't do anyone any good if they killed each other in front of everyone. If anything the other council members would blame it on Cordelia. Claiming that it was her responsibility to break up the fight. She would have happily taken the blame for their arguments. Especially now that Mr Emotionless was given the ability to feel. Aidan handed her a drink and she sipped it slowly. "Thank you." she said to him, sipping more of the drink. The fight was getting worse, silencing the hall. People were staring at them and the poor girl Cas was dancing with seemed to be trapped. "Is that his father? " The head angel nodded. It seemed that Aidan was about to go and rescue his baby sister. "It should be illegal for the two of them to be in the same room as each other. They just cause problems for themselves and everyone around them." But this was going to go deeper than a petty argument. Anger was written clear on Cas' face. At any moment he could completely blow up. Cordelia was semi-looking forward to this party ending earlier because second in command couldn't keep it together. Just then the girl finally walked away. But she wasn't headed toward her brother. She was headed towards the door. "Maybe you should go and check on her." Cordelia said, a bit concerned.

Image

The silence believe them made it clear that Roman wasn't wrong about him being homosexual. Any straight man would have denied immediately. They wouldn't have even danced with Roman. But they were dancing. Talking. Something that Roman wouldn't do with a heterosexual male. "You don't know me" The dancing had practically stopped at point, but he kept his hands on Leon. Afraid that if he let go he would lose him. Roman got what he wanted. Leon looked up at him, but it wasn't with the smile he had seen earlier. It was with pain. The curious man couldn't help, but search his eyes. He looked so broken. Like someone dropped his fragile heart over and over again. Like someone couldn't find all the pieces to the heart. Roman didn't know what to do. "I'm not like that" Leon was clearly lying. Hiding from someone. From something. Roman didn't care. But whatever he was hiding from hurt Leon. They hurt him bad. Roman clenched his fists a little, angered that anyone would so carelessly break him. "I won't ask anymore questions here. But at the end of the party. Please come home with me." Roman's intentions were actually innocent. He just wanted to make Leon feel better, by talking. Keeping emotion like that bottled up makes sense to why Leon is so bitter. Roman believes he has every right, but he doesn't want Leon to be bitter anymore. He wants Roman to smile.

"What has gotten into you? You're acting like…like"
"Like I actually give a damn? Like I hate you? Well you know what….I do" Castiel finished his father's sentence, keeping eye contact with the man. He felt the venom spreading. He felt like he could explode at any moment, like all those pointless arguments were all bubbling to the surdace, and he wasn't trying to stop it "You always act so high and mighty, keeping everyone on a short leash, using them to your disposal, using your council dogs to do the dirty work for you, and I'm sick of it. I am SICK and TIRED of your shit.". Castiel s father stated in shock, or the closest he could get to being shocked. Castiel, on the other hand, felt empowered. Like he could do anything. It wasn't until he heard a soft voice from behind him say excuse me that he stopped. Before he realized it, Abigail had run out the front door. He didn't think twice before going to follow her, but not without being stopped by his father. "Who is that? ". Castiel only pulled his arm away from the man's grasp and headed in the same direction Abigail had gone.

Image

Aidan watched in shock as the conflict went from argument to full on fight. It seemed completely one sided though, as if the father didn't care that his soon was practically fuming and could blow at any moment. That didn't sit well with Aidan. Maybe there was a good reason for why the younger man didn't like his father. In the midst of the arguing he noticed Abigail back away and quickly head out the door. Cordelia asked if they should go check on her, but he was already in motion. "Wait there, I'll be right back" he said as he picked up the pace. As he was walkinf, he noticed the younger man was no longer arguing with his father but he was now in front of him and headed out the door. Was he following Abigail. Aidan decided to keep a safe distance and watch him, instead of interfering right away. But if he much as touched a hair on Abigail s head, he was a dead man. Aidan followed him out the door and hid behind a think pole, watching and listening.

Leon felt like he could burst out into tears any second. Here he was with the most handsome and amazing man he had met in a long time and he was supposed to push him away. On top of that, he had to lie right to his face, and he knew that Roman knew he was lying, but he couldn't do anything else. "I won't ask anymore questions here. But at the end of the party. Please come home with me.. Leon froze in his spot. He was completely silent and still, making the rain drops on the window seem louder than what they actually were. The word "okay" was on the tip of his tongue and it felt like it would spill any second. He quickly swallowed it back and backed up a few steps, however Roman kept a hold of him regardless. Leon had never felt so fragile, and he didn't know how to handle it. He figured he'd handle it the way he always does, by lying. "No" he muttered, his tone almost painful. He could feel his stomach shaking. "Just stay away from me". Though he said this, he remained in Roman's arms, and close enough that Roman could probably see the tears swelling up in his eyes. "I don't like you…I don't like people like you". The last statement killed him, and it showed perfectly in his eyes, but his tone remained cold as ice, even though his insides were on fire.

Abigail started to pace back and forth trying to decided what to with herself. She was almost terrified to go back inside. The fighting and the tension was just too much. She didn't want to take her brother away from his date. That was selfish. All she could hear was the soft click of her heels on the sidewalk and the music picking back up. The fight must have been over. The brunette wasn't exactly ready to go back inside. Pulling out her phone she checked the time. It was close to 11. She didn't having anything to do tomorrow so that was another reason not to go home earlier. Abby ran her fingers through her hair and then just stopped pacing. She was going back inside. She would have to put up with the party for just a little while longer and then she could go home. Decision made, she turned around and saw Mr. Perfect just standing there. Watching her. Her face turned a bit red. From awkwardness and the chill in the air. Quickly, she looked down at the ground and then back up at him. He didn't look the same. Not when he was inside arguing with his father. His facial features were softer. He wasn't angry anymore. Honestly, Abigail didn't want to see him angry again. It was slightly scary. She started to imagine that same face yelling at her and she unknowingly took a step back. "I-I..." She was back to stuttering. Abigail was back to looking at the ground. "I-I'm sorry for just walking out..." Her voice was soft. Again Abigail thought she was in the wrong.

Image

Cordelia just watched the fight. She had never seen Cas so angry and she was really glad that it wasn't being directed towards her. Eventually it will be. Especially when she tells him what she did and what her plans are. But he would have to get over it. Aidan went after his sister and so did Cas. It was going to be interesting when Aidan comes back to tell Cordelia what was happening with the couple. Looking around, she could see people trying to get back to the party. Cas' father looked rather taken back. Well as best as he could to show that emotion. But it was obvious that he knew something was different. Now she really need to tell Cas what is going on so that he doesn't ruin everything by accident. But later. Pulling out her phone, she decided to text Leon.
[TO] Leon
[MSG] You missed the fight! Cas practically said he was joining the Angel Rebellion. Everything is going so well.

She sent the message and looked up to see the boss staring at her. Growing wide eyed, she sipped her drink and walked away from his deadly gaze. He already didn't like her. She wasn't in teh mood to have her wings ripped off in front of everyone.

"No" Roman frowned immediately. His eyes looked over Leon, trying to understand the sudden rejection. But he couldn't think of anything. Unless he was just being a hard ass for no reason. Slowly, he removed his hands from Leon. This was one of the few times where Roman was genuinely hurt. It doesn't happen often and usually he doesn't get in a position of pain, but Leon hurt him. "I don't like you…I don't like people like you" Roman took a shaky step backwards and then locked eyes with his cold hearted stranger. Leon was in so much pain. No matter how heavy and serious the rejection was, he couldn't just let Leon slip away from him. Not again. Not like the first time. So Roman didn't say anything. Reaching into his jacket, Roman pulled out a pen and then took hold of Leon's arm. He wrote down his phone number. "And you already know where I live." He didn't care if Leon had just said no. He was going to say yes. Even if it killed Roman. Putting the pen back in his jacket, he looked over Leon once more and then tried to walk around him back into the party. It was time for Roman to go home.

Castiel watched Abigail pace until she turned around and realized he was there, then immediately apologized as if it were her fault. His insides felt like they were still boiling, but he forced himself to wear his usual calm look so as to not scare Abigail more than he already had. "Don't" he said shaking his head sloghtly, voice as smooth as silk. "I'm Sorry you had to see that". He didn't exactly know how to explain it to her. He didn't know how to explain it to himself. All he knew is that he had shown Abigail a side of himself that she was never meant to see, and to top it off, that side was uglier than usual. "We don't get along. We never have". He straightened his tie and slipped his hands in his pant pockets. His gaze not leaving her face for a minute. "I suppose I'm fed up with his way of using everyone around him to his advantage.". He watched her, paying attention to her reactions. He almost surprised hi.self with how honest everything he told her was. He truly was tired of his father's antics.

Image

Aidan remained as still as possible, hidden behind the concrete wall. He could only see the two talking, but he could barely hear what was being said. He very quietly stepped closer and crossed over to a wall closer to the pair. It seemed like the stranger was doing most of the talking. He sounded genuinely from what Aidan could hear, but he determined this man was not to be trusted. Perhaps the best option was to go home and take Abigail. Get her away from him as soon as possible. He had half a mind to just do it now, but he figured it would be rude to leave without at least saying goodbye to Cordelia. So that's what he'd do. He quickly headed back inside unseen and walked back to where Cordelia was still waiting. "They're just talking now…he's like a completely different person" he stated, then stepped cloaer. "I'm So Sorry but…I thknk I should take my sister home. I don't exactly trust that man."

Image

Leon felt his insides burning. The look in Roman's eyes didn't help either. He could tell he hurt him, and if it weren't for the place and situation he would have apologized immediately. No, he would have never lied in the first place. Roman didn't respond to his rude comments, but inatead, he took a pen and wrote out his phone number on his arm. "And you already know where I live.". Leon stood still, no idea how to respond. He stared at his arm in disbelief, confused as to why this man would still want to be around him even after everything he'd done and said. Everyone else just turned on their heels and ran. The handsome man then shuffled around him to head back to the party, but something in Leon pushed him to want to stop him. Without even thinking about it he quickly grabbed onto Roman's hand. His gaze glued to the floor. He help it for longer than necessary, not saying a single word, then released and started walking in the opposite direction. What was he thinking? He shouldn't have even done that much, let alone go back home with him. And Cordelia, she didn't like being alone at these parties. He continued to walk further away from Roman, his heart cracking with every step. He heard his phone vibrate, but hardly had the energy to check. He simply continued to walk back to find Cordelia.

Abigail didn't look up at him. But she could imagine what his face looked like by the way he spoke. He was calm and trying to keep it together. Not that he really had too. It was clear that whatever had riled him up was still there burning inside of him. Abby just wasn't ready to see it yet. And it to see it so suddenly, freaked her out. "We don't get along. We never have" Slowly, she looked up at him. Abigail had always heard of people not getting along with their parents, but she had never seen it up close like that. It was almost unheard of in the Lancing Household. Yes they had differences, but overall she loved her parents. She wouldn't trade either of them for the world. Just like she wouldn't trade Aidan for anyone else. He was perfect despite his flaws. "I suppose I'm fed up with his way of using everyone around him to his advantage." The brunette ran her fingers through her hair. "At least you got it off your chest." She said, with a tiny smile. She was trying to make it so that she wasn't so nervous. It was working a little. Abigail looked past him and at the party. "I-I don't want to go back in there." She didn't really like the party to begin with, but now she really didn't want to go back inside there.

Image

Cordelia looked at her phone. No message from Leon. Now she needed to go find him to determine whether or not she should kill Roman. Looking up, she looked around a little to see if she could find her best friend, but all she saw was Aidan. Not that she wasn't happy to see him. "They're just talking now…he's like a completely different person" Cordelia just nodded and watched as he moved closer. "I'm So Sorry but…I thknk I should take my sister home. I don't exactly trust that man." The angel had no idea what to say. By the way him and his sister was dancing, she could honestly say that Abigail couldn't be safer than with Cas. That was saying a lot, considering Cordelia would rather see that god dead. But now that he has emotions and he can't control them, she can tell that whatever is going between those two isn't a joke or a ploy to get into Abigail's pants like Aidan had thought earlier. She took Aidan's arm gently. "I know she is your sister and you are just trying to protect her. But I can honestly say that Cas will not hurt your sister." Cordelia doesn't lie. At least not on purpose.

Image

Roman reached an arm out for the door, but was stopped by the sad man. He looked back to see that Leon wasn't even attempting to make eye contact. Neither of them spoke. There wasn't much to say. Something was wrong with Leon even if he wasn't going to admit it out loud. Roman wasn't going to expose him when he wasn't ready to be exposed. So the silence just lingered between the two until Leon let go and walked away. Roman walked into the party with a half assed smile. It was time to go home. He saw Aidan over with Cordelia, so he wasn't going to bother him. Roman headed straight towards the front door and headed down the street. Not before waving goodbye to Abigail. Whoever she was with better be careful. Aidan didn't let just anyone near his sister. That thought made Roman chuckle. His hands were in his pockets and he walked down the street towards his home. A yawn escaped him and within no time he was walking through the front door. He pulled the tie off and through it on the couch. "This night deserves chocolate milk." Roman headed over to the kitchen to pour himself a glass.

Castiel immediately relaxed when. Abigail looked up at him. "I don't want to go back in there." Cas frowned sloghtly when she said this, and honestly he didn't either. He didn't want to deal with a certain someone anymore. "Come to my relatives house for a bit" he suggested, taking a step towards her. "They won't mind. You can stay as long as you'd like. This way your brother doesn't have to worry about leaving you alone. Cas wasn't exactly lying, but he wasn't telling the truth either. His relatives wouldn't mind only because he had no relatives living there. That house and the cars were mainly for show, and some of the members in the council used it when needed. Castiel normally used it the most though, as a way to get a break from his father. He pulled the keys out of his pocket and held a hand out for her. "I will drive you home when you're ready".

Image

Aidan shifted uncomfortably as Cordelia spoke. She sounded like she was telling the truth. She had no reason to lie and by what he had seen, she didn't like her boss very much so she wouldn't just lie for him. He sighed and relaxed a little. "Well alright…I'll take your word on that . He glanced around the room looking for his friend. A few seconds later he saw him leaving the building. He didn't look very happy. "I don't think it went very well" he muttered quietly to Cordelia as he gestured towards Roman, and then towards Leon who was approaching them with a look more cold and bitter than his usual. He felt bad for Roman. No one had ever turned him down so many times before. This had to have hurt him at least a little. He quickly pulled his phone out and typed out a text to his friend.
[To Ro]
[From Dan]
[Hey, I'm assuming it didn't go so well….are you alright?]

He quickly sent it and put the phone away just before Leon walked up.

Image

Leon his way through the crowd and saw Cordelia's and the other man's eyes on him. He shifted his gaze uncomfortably to the floor as he walked up. "Are you going to stay long?". He then looked up at her, the painful tint still in his eyes. "I have something I need to do". He knew Cordelia wouldn't know what he meant, but she was always very good at reading him a maybe she'd at least have an idea. Of course, she always came first and if she wanted him to stay he woild, no matter how desperately he wanted to leave. He had an idea in mind, and he knew that if he didn't act in it quickly he'd regret his decision. But Cordelia didn't like being around these people on her own. Granted, she had this new friend, but Leon guessed he didn't know anything about them and the council. "I'll wait by the door" he muttered softly, turning to head over to the front door.

Casteel didn't seem like he wanted to go back to the party either. Which was completely fine with Abigail. Now she would just have to find her brother so that he could take her home. She was feeling actually quite tired and would kill for a nap. "Come to my relatives house for a bit" Her eyes grew wide a little. To be allowed in a home so grand was almost unrealistic. And to be completely alone with Mr. Perfect was almost surreal. A light shade of pink rushed to her cheeks. The decision to go with him was completely up to her. But what would Aidan think if she ran off with some man. Abigail was getting a headache thinking about it. The brunette finally nodded in a agreement. "I just need to text Aidan." she mumbled as she pulled out her phone.
[TO] Aidan
[MSG] Going to a friends house. Don't wait up for me.

The message sent and she put her phone away and looked up at Mr. Perfect. "Alright let's go. Before Aidan comes running out here." Abigail didn't really want to deal with introductions between Aidan and Cas. She wanted a nap.

Image

Cordelia was glad that she calmed Aidan down a little. It was almost like he was trying to keep his sister away from boys. Cute, yet a little much. But she had no right to tell Aidan how to deal with his family. A few seconds later Aidan points over to Roman, who doesn't look very happy. Cordelia is wondering what happened. Just then she caught Leon walking up with an even colder expression than the one he had on when they walked in. The angel was tied between chasing after Roman to murder him or figuring out what was wrong with Leon. But when her and her best friend made eye contact, she quickly realized that whatever happened wasn't caused by Roman. "I'll wait by the door" Without another word Leon walked away. She didn't know what to do. She didn't want to just leave Aidan, but she couldn't abandon Leon. "Just stay here. I will be right back." She tried to reassure. Then she skipped off in Leon's direction and finally caught up with him. When she thought no one was listening she crossed her arms and leaned against the wall. "Okay. What happened? And please don't spare details."

Image

Roman had finished three cups of chocolate milk before deciding that he had had enough. He washed his cup and waltzed into his bedroom to undress. The suit was annoying him. He completely stripped down to his lovely black briefs. The hugged him in all the right places. He slipped on light blue flannel pajama pants and walked back out to the living room. He plopped down onto the couch and then checked his phone. Roman sent him a message.
[TO] Aidan
[MSG] I will be alright. Thanks for checking up on me. How are you and Abby? Party still boring?

The message sent and he turned on the tv. There was a boxing match on that he wanted to see. It would help him when he practiced in the gym later that week.

Castiel was somewhat relieved that Abigail agreed to go home with him. Maybe he would reach his goal after all…no! He couldn't do that to her. She was too innocent, too pure. But that hadn't stopped him before, why would it now? He rubbed his temples and nodded at her when she said she'd text her brother. As soon as she finished he took her by the hand and pulled out his car keys. he walked her over to his car and unlocked it, then opened up the door for her. Once she settled in, he closed the door and walked over to his side to settle into the driver's seat. The party was still bustling and most of the council members were too busy inflating their egos to notice him leave. He started the car and drove off before anyone could spot them. The last thing he wanted was to have someone rat him out to his father because he was certain that, if they fought again, heads would roll. He couldn't shake the feeling, howevwr, that someone was watching him as he left.

Image

Aidan watched as Leon avoided mentioning anything about what happened, he merely said he'd wait for Cordelia. To which she stated that she would be back and followed her brother to the door, he assumed, to ask him what had happened. He was a bit curious himself and he had a feeling Roman wouldn't exactly tell him. Speaking of which, he felt his phone vibrate and it was a message from the man himaelf. He noticed though that there was one from Abigail too. He quickly opened and read it over and furrowed his brows as he typed out a reply.
[To Abby]
[From Dan]
[Alright be careful….and it better not be that guy you were dancing with earlier or I'll have to kill him]

He sent the text and sighed. He had the urge to follow her, but he'd leave Cordelia behind, not to mention he'd give her a bad impression. He navigated over to Roman's text and replied as well.
[To Ro]
[From Dan]
[Well I'm glad one of you will be because he doesn't look that okay to me. And Abby said she was going to a friend's house.…]

Image

Leon leaned against the door frame, looking up at the sky. How badly he wanted to run out of there and into the handsome man's arms again, but that wouldn't be happening. He jumped slightly when Cordelia showed up and sighed when she asked for an explanation. He didn't really want to talk about it, but he owed her at least that much. "Wanted me to go to his house…I said no" he mutteres, regretting that decision even more. He than lifted his jacket sleeve enough to reveal the phone number Roman had scribbled on his aem. He still had no idea why that man would want Leon to call him of all people. He pushed the sleeve back down and leaned against the door frame again. "Doesn't matter anyway" he muttered, not wanting to go into further detail.

Abigail read the message her brother sent back and she didn't respond. Telling Dan who she was with at this point would cause unnecessary trouble. She has had enough of arguing. Placing her phone back in her clutch, she followed Cas to his car. Even though he was leading the way, she remembered what his car looked like. And his house. And the kiss he had placed on her cheek. That entire evening was replaying in her head. Settling into the passenger seat, she touched her cheek softly. It was almost as if he had just given her the kiss. Her cheeks were tinted as they drove off. It was a quite, yet necessary car ride. Hopefully the dean of the school wouldn't notice her absence. She wasn't really important to the party. She had just volunteered with Dan and Roman. Casteel pulled up to the house and she stared out her window. It still shocked her to see how large and beautiful it was. Abigail couldn't wait to go inside. It was probably was even more marvelous on the inside. The brunette waited for Cas and walked up with him into the home. Her steps were hesitant. The inside was like a palace. "It's beautiful..."

Image

"Wanted me to go to his house…I said no" The smile on the angel's face was not one she could easily hide. Cordelia was beyond happy for her best friend. Someone wanted to be with him. Granted she didn't exactly know what Roman's intentions were, but just the fact that Leon had some form of temporary happiness would be good for him. It took a little while to realize that he had said he told the handsome man no. Cordelia was about to smack Leon, but she didn't. He was already hurt. It was obvious. The brunette was having mixed emotions for her friend at the moment. "Doesn't matter anyway" Cordelia glared. "Guess don't spare the details didn't matter to you." She muttered. Cordelia pushed herself up off the wall and moved so that she was a bit closer to her friend. "You know I usually support you in everything you do, but this time I think you could be wrong. Granted I don't know anything about Roman and if he hurts you I will break his arm." Cordelia smiled a little, trying to implement her best friend duties. "And don't hate me, but I kind of want to stay with Aidan. If you want to go home that's okay. Please try and at least smile about the fact the potion worked." Cordelia leaned in and kissed his cheek before skipping off. Forcing him to stay here and have fun wasn't really an option. But she wasn't going to go with him back to her hell hole. Shuffling through the crowd, she found Aidan waiting patiently for her. "Sorry about that."

Image

Roman copied some of the movements of one of the boxers from the couch. Although the moves the professional boxer was using was wild, it was effective in damage. He was undefeated and always had a K.O. Roman was with one loss at the current moment. But it was by vote of the judges. Roman never K.O's. He is too stubborn to stay allow himself to get hit that hard. His phone vibrated and he picked it up in some hopes it was his man crush. But it was just Aidan. Quickly reading it, he sent a message back.
[TO]Dan
[MSG] Oh! Is that why she was outside? I saw her with a guy with a strong jawline. She picked a cute one.

Roman knows that it might get Abby in trouble, but he lived to bother Abby. It's his third calling in life. Right now though he was really hoping that his first calling in life would call him before Roman went to bed.

The ride to his house was quiet, but not in an uncomfortable way. Every now and then Cas would say something to which she would respond and then the silence settled again. He just enjoyed her company. Nothing needed to be said. As he approached his house, he could tell Abigail was getting nervous. The car came to a stop and he stepped out, opened her door and led her inside. She looked amazed. If only she could see the buildings back on Eden. "Thank you" he said with a slight bow as he motioned for her to sit on the couch. "It looks like my relatives are out so we've got the house to ourselves" he informed, his master plan once again circulating in his head. It was as if his brain was in a war with itself on what he should and shouldn't do. "Would you like something to drink? " he asked while his brain sorted itself out.

Image

Aidan stood impatiently waiting for Abigail to respond or for Cordelia to return but neither seem to be happening anytime soon. He leaned back against the wall and immediately pulled his phone out as it buzzed, thinking it would be Abby. He was a bit dissappear when it wasn't. He read Roman's text and furrowed his brows.
[To Ro]
[Msg: If she went home with some strange man she just met she is going to be in deep trouble]

He didn't really plan on doing anything, he was just a little disappointed that she wouldn't tell him something like this. Finally he saw Cordelia approaching and he smiled softly as she apologized. "Don't worry about it" he assured her. "Is everything okay?".

Image

Leon groaned as Cordelia voiced his opinion. He knew she had a point, but Cordelia also didn't have anything to hide and she knew that as well. He guessed that was why she didn't insist on Leon following the man. "I'll see you at home" he nodded and gave her a small wave as she left. He sighed and headed down the front steps, Eden bound. He continued to think about the handsome man over and over again, no matter how hard he tried to push him out of his thoughts. Eventually he came to a fork in the road, literally. He could easily continue going left until he reached the abandoned buildings from which he and Cordelia usually took flight, but before he could protest, his feet were taking him in the other direction. He wasn't even thinking, just doing, and before he knew it he was on the handsome man's porch, knocking on his door. He had officially dug his own grave.

Abigail slowly followed Casteel father into the house. She looked around, admiring the elegance. It was something you would only see in a painting. There was a part of her that wanted her to take a picture for her brother to see, but she decided against it. Dan is already going to be upset that she went over this man's house. Abby has yet to think a reason that she shouldn't though. Besides they fact that they just met the other day. But their dance made it seem like years. Abigail felt comfortable enough and trusted him. She sat on the couch and crossed her legs, throwing her right leg over her left. "I would love some if you don't mind." She smiled a little and then glanced down at her dress. Now she was officially alone with a boy. Abigail didn't know what to do. Cliche romance movies weren't really going to help her in this moment. It would have been nice to get detailed instruction on how to play this out. But instead she stopped making eye contact and tugged at the end of her dress.

"Every thing is fine. He just wanted to go home." It was a half truth. It wasn't her place to go around telling Leon's business. Besides he would be alright for now. Whatever Roman was doing to him was really getting to him. Cordelia just couldn't tell if it was a good thing yet. Hopefully her decision to leave Leon wouldn't bite her in the butt when she gets back to Eden. Looking around, she couldn't find anyone from Eden that she recognized anymore. Leon was gone, Cas was headed out, and the Head God has just disappeared. Either the party was dying down, or Casteel made a big enough see to kill it. Either way didn't matter to Cordelia except now she would have to find ways to spend more time with Aidan. "Do you know if Roman is okay? I didn't see him."

Image

Roman was stood up off the couch and started shadowboxing. He was enjoying himself more than he has all night. Well at least from before the dance with Leon and then afterwards. Ro knew better than to jump around so much to get himself all sweaty. He just wanted to do something. He couldn't just sit on the couch. He was actually thinking of going on a walk. His phone went off and he read the message Aidan sent to him. He was about to reply, but there was a knock on his door. Roman looked up and just stared at the door. He looked back at her phone and tried to send out a quick reply.
[TO] Dan
[MSG: Oh relax. Abigail is responsible enough to take care of herself for the night.]

Roman tossed the phone onto the couch and headed over to the door. He didn't even bother looking through the peep hole before opening the door. He held back his shock as he saw Leon standing there. Roman's eyes ran over him and then he smirked for a moment. "Did you miss me?" Just something cocky to make him feel a bit less awkward about coming over. Roman opened the door all the way to allow his friend to enter. "Come on in."

Castiel poured himself and Abigail a glass of the finest wine he could find in the house and walked over to where she was sitting. Setting down the glass in front of her, he settled down beside her close enough to touch but not too close to making her uncomfortable. The light shade of red was still on her cheeks, as usual, and Castiel was beginning to come to loving it. "I've stored this wine for a while now, saving it for a special occasion" he informed her, making sure that she knew she was that special occasion. Once again, Castiel was divided. His head screamed at him to carry out his plan. Now was the perfect time. However his heart told him that Abigail didn't deserve to be treated that way. She deserved honesty and real love, not just a one night stand. His head disagreed of course, trying to convince him that she would get over it in time, and since when did his heart have an opinion anyway? "What do you say to finishing our dance? There's no one here to interrupt us this time" he said with a soft smile, pushing all conflicting thoughts aside.

Aidan shifted nervously on his feet. He was now officially alone with Cordelia. Roman and Abby were gone, and now Leon had gone off to do his own thing as well. Aidan was confused as to why he was now, all of a sudden, feeling nervous about being around her. They had spent the majority of the day together the day before and he never so much as twitched, but ow his heart was beginning to beat at an unusual pace. He jumped slightly, but not enough to be noticeable, when she asked him about Roman. "He's alright...or he will be" he corrected himself, hoping he was right. "To be honest I've never known Ro to like someone as much as he likes Leon, even if he doesn't know it yet" he said with a slight smile, imagining his friend's reaction when he finally realized how he felt. "He's never really been rejected either. He's not used to how horrible it feels". Aidan spoke from experience. Having been rejected by the person he thought was the love of his life left a big scar which had yet to heal.

Image

Leon stood at Roman's door as he waited for an answer. He was tired, confused, vulnerable and to be honest, all he wanted was to be with this strange man that seemed to like him for some odd reason. He wanted to feel wanted again. He wasn't thinking about the consequences anymore, not at the moment at least. When Roman finally opened the door he jumped slightly and made brief eye contact, but soon looked away when Roman asked if he missed him. If he was being honest, he would have said yes. He walked inside the house, his heart beating a little faster than necessary, and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "I'm sorry" he muttered, his gaze not leaving the ground for an instant. "I was rude...and I'm sorry". His tone wasn't it's usual cold and dry one, but oft and almost too vulnerable. Leon could feel Roman's gaze on him and didn't dare to look up. He had yet to figure out what he was expecting to get out of coming here, but he hoped he could at least make things right with Roman. Finally, he looked up at the man, a light shade of pink covering his cheeks, and his eyes as filled with pain as ever.

Abigail looked up at him when he went to go and get them something to drink. Once she couldn't see him she used to her eyes to search more of the house. Something about it's beauty made her interested to stay even longer. She wants to discover the heart of this beauty. Every masterpiece has one. Cas returned with wine. Legally, the brunette wasn't allowed to drink. But she did on occasion. Usually with Aidan. "I've stored this wine for a while now, saving it for a special occasion" Her cheeks resembling a tomato, she realized that she was special enough to him to bring out this wine. She picked up the glass and sipped it. It was rather nice. She was used to strawberry wine, but this was just as nice. She took another sip in the midst of their silence. Then he suggested finishing their dance. Abigail didn't mind that. Dancing keeps her from having to talk and embarrass herself. "Sure." She looked around for a moment thinking she would see a stereo or some type of music player. But she couldn't see one. And if their was one there she was looking over it. "What kind of music do you have to dance too?"

Image

Cordelia felt bad for Roman. She doesn't know how much he knows, but Leon has it rough. No one really knows what its like to be Leon. And the rejection isn't because he dislikes the handsome man, its because what he has to fly home too everyday. Cordelia couldn't say anything of this to Aidan. He didn't need to know. And it wasn't her place. But she wished she could just sit down and tell both him and Roman what was really going on. "I think everything will work out in their favor." She said hopefully. Then she took note of Aidan's rejection comment. She wondered who could ever reject him. "Well I won't reject you. Actually I'm trying to think of something we could do so that we could spend more time with each other." The head angel admitted with a small smile on her face. Hopefully he was doing the same.

Image

Leon wasn't saying anything and Roman's smiled died down. He didn't know what to do. After his new friend walked in, the boxer shut the front door. He didn't lock it in case Leon just wanted to run out. He refused to keep him here if he really didn't want to be here. Roman just watched his crush for a while, trying to understand what was going on. But again, Leon refused to make any eye contact. "I was rude...and I'm sorry" Roman raised an eyebrow. He wasn't used to the tone. He sounded like a child almost. Finally Leon looked up and Roman's heart just broke. Leon was in pain. So much pain. Ro just took hold of Leon and hugged him tightly. "It's okay. I forgive you. It's going to be okay." Roman was really saying it to let Leon know that whatever was causing him so much pain wouldn't not get the better of him.

Castiel couldn't help but to smile at her reactions. He took another sip of his wine and set the glass down. "Well, let's find out" he said as he got to his feet and walked over to the TV stand. He grabbed the stereo remote and pressed play, almost laughing when Elton John came flowing through the speakers. "My relatives are kind of old school" he explained. He set the remote down and walked over to her. He held out his hand and offered her a soft smile. "Would you do me the honors?" he said quietly. The previous conflicting thoughts had mow vanished completely. All Castiel could think about was dancing with Abigail and watching the soft pink shade remain on her cheeks. For the moment, he wasn't a god, he was just…Castiel.

Image

Aidan listened to Cordelia's optimistic comments and he nodded with a smile, hoping it was true. "You're right. They seem to like each other…or at least Ro does" he chuckled, hoping his friend wouldn't have to face any heart ache. Then Cordelia mentioned how she would never reject him and he couldn't help but feel a bit of fear and sadness. That girl, his first love, had promised that she would never leave him. He pushed the thoughts aside for the moment and turned to her. "Well would you like to dance again?" he asked politely. "We never got to finish". He held a hand out for her, hoping he wouldn't get rejected. For some reason this beautiful being wanted to spend more time with him, and he wanted to spend every moment with her.

Image

Their eyes met for a few short seconds and all of a sudden, strong arms were wrapped around him and held him tightly. It took every ounce of strength in Leon's body to keep from breaking down in tears. He felt so warm and safe in his embrace. It almost felt too wonderful, too perfect. Leon was afraid to accept it and have it be torn away immediately after. He stood there trembling, not moving, barely breathing, for several seconds. Roman's voice was like a lullaby. It slowly calmed his nerves inside and out. The trembling slowly came to a stop and he let out a shirt, shaky breath before slowly wrapping his arms around him in return. He gently gripped onto the back of Roman's shirt and buried his face in the man's shoulder. He would have given anything in his possession to be able to stay in his arms forever, forgetting about everything and everyone. He wanted to ask if he could stay a little longer, but something told him it wouldn't be a good idea.

Abigail sipped her wine and watched Castiel stand up. She watched hit a button and music was playing from somewhere. There wasn't anytime to find the station. The brunette smiled at the sounds of Elton John. She didn't know much about him, but his music was something she would ballroom dance too. She took another sip of her wine and saw that Castiel was just standing there. Smiling and waiting. Waiting for this girl he broke out the wine for to stand up and dance with him. Abigail placed the glass down and stood up, willing her pink cheeks away. Slowly she wrapped her arms around him and started up the dance. There was no one around them to watch or intervene. Nothing to pull away their attention. Their focus was on each other. Abigail didn't know how she felt about that exactly. It would be her first time alone with a man in his house. She was shaking a little. Abby was trying to control it, but she was a bit nervous.

Image

Cordelia ran her fingers through her hair trying to push away thoughts of Leon and Roman. They were going to figure it out. Knowing Leon, he was going to beat himself up about it and then ask for more advice in a way only Leon knows how. The head angel rocked on her heels a little. Her entire face lit up when Aidan asked her to dance. He was right. They were being bothered by others and never got the chance to dance. "I would love too." Cordelia took his hand and walked with him closer to the middle of the floor. She wrapped her arms around him and started to dance. She kept it simple for the reason that she didn't really know how to dance and neither did he.

Image

Roman just held Leon. That is clearly what he needed. Someone needed to hold this young man and tell him that everything was going to be okay. That no one was going to cause him so much pain ever again. But Ro didn't say any of that. He kept his arms around Leon as he gripped onto his shirt. This is about as vulnerable as Roman has ever seen. In anyone. He usually doesn't get close enough to anyone to get this vulnerable. He was fairly good at comforting people. Ro made his way towards the could, with Leon still in his arms. He sat down gently and just let Leon rest his head on his chest. Roman stroked his back gently and then just kissed the top of his head. He needed to be loved. "It's going to be okay now." Roman would never let anyone hurt Leon again. He would fight the devil for this man. No one deserves this kind of pain.

Castiel smiled as Abigail followed his steps easily. This time around it felt so perfect. No one to watch his every move, no one to interrupt them, no one to cause him to lose his temper in front of Abigail. If he was being honest, Castiel had to admit that his little outburst earlier when he was speaking to him father scared him just as much as it scared Abigail. It was rage. Pure, raw, human emotion that seemed to have come out of nowhere. Never in his life had castiel felt anything of that sort. And then there was this other feeling, which he had yet to figured out what it was, but he wanted to spend every moment with Abigail. He wanted to be able to look at her smile and her rosy cheeks every day. There was a subtle, nagging pain in the back of his mind, but he didn't bother listening to it. He was too wrapped up in Elton John's Tiny Dancer. He sang the words quietly as they moved to the music. ]color=red]"Not your type of music?"[/color] he asked, going off of her first reaction when the song first started up.

Image

Aidan smiled when Cordelia accepted his offer and followed her to the dance floor. He was thankful that she was moving slow enough for him to keep up. Abigail had offered to teach him how to dance countless times, but he was always busy. He was either working on a project, or starting a new one, or in between projects and taking a break. Art and painting was his life, just like dancing was for Abigail. "So what's your favorite color?" he questioned, almost laughing at the confused looked he received in return. "I want to know more about you. Might as well start with the basics" he explained as they continued to dance. Aidan was never the type to start up pointless small talk. In this case the small talk had it's purpose. If he could get Cordelia to start talking about what she liked and disliked, he could learn more about her. He wanted to know so much more about her that he wasn't sure where to start.

Image

Leon stood frozen in Roman's arms for several seconds, letting the warmth of his embrace surround him completely. He almost felt at peace. He felt some movement and opened his eyes to realize that Roman was leading him towards the couch. ANy other time he would have protested or fought back, but this time he let Roman lead him. He sat down beside him, closer than he had ever been to the man, and rested his head on his warm chest. Roman kept a firm hold on him with his arms, and Leon didn't mind it at all. He was tired, too tired of running away and too tired of pretending he didn't care about this man when all he wanted to do was be with him. His cheeks dusted a light pink as he felt a kiss being placed on the top of his head, but he didn't move. "It's going to be okay now." Leon simply stared at the ground as Roman said this. What he wouldn't give for that to be true, but he couldn't guarantee that. No one could. "I should go..." he said softly, his tone just as vulnerable as how he felt. Though he said this, what he really wanted to hear was Roman asking him to stay. He wouldn't even think twice about it.

Abigail continued to dance and keep up with Cas's dance moves. It was something that she was used to doing. And the dance moves weren't complicated at all. There was a part of her that wished to complicate the steps more, but that wasn't they reason behind their dancing. It was just to be close to each other. Abby didn't mind that at all. She looked up at him when he asked her a question. "That's not it." She said, thinking that he was referring to her shaking. Like she was disapproving Elton John. "I actually ballroom dance to his songs." Abigail went back to resting her head on his chest, during the dance. She could hear his heartbeat and it was creating a rhythm. A yawn left the brunette as she continued to dance with Mr. Perfect.

Image

The dancing was slow and simple, but it was perfect. Aidan was keeping up with the angel rather nicely and she couldn't have asked for a better dance partner. She continued dancing and smiling. When Aidan asked her a question, she raised an eyebrow. A tad confused to where the color question came from. But he quickly squashed her curiosity with his follow up statement. For a moment Cordelia had to think about what her favorite color was. Out of the colors that she adores, which one does she love the most. But she didn't have a favorite color. "I honestly don't have a favorite. Asking me that is like asking which child I love the most." It was a fairly strong comparison, but she was just trying to get her point across. "But I do tend to gravitate towards black for outfits if that helps." She didn't want to leave him with something complete useless. "What about you?"

Image

Roman continued to hold and comfort the handsome stranger he had only met yesterday. He doesn't know why, but Leon has hit a soft spot in Ro's heart. There was something about him that makes him want to keep Leon around way more often. His presence just seems to be needed all the time. Roman wouldn't mind that of course. Having Leon around would make it easier to make sure nothing bad happens to him. "I should go..." Although Leon said this, he didn't move. Or try to push Roman away. Or even change his mood and tone. Roman wasn't going to push Leon away either. He wanted to keep the young man around. "You don't have to leave" Roman stroked his back lightly. "You can stay as long as you like." He was completely opening up his home to Leon.
