Appearance
Zaisuke has dark brown hair. It is not usually styled anyway, he simply wakes up and runs his fingers through it, leaving it messy in an adorable sort of way. But anyways, isn't very long, so really there isn't much to worry about. Zai's eyes are a deep chocolate colour. The base color is a dark brown, with light browns mixed into the color. Another strange effect is the specks of gold in his eyes, it is something most people used to stare and ask questions about so his mother eventually bought him contacts that were just brown. Though he does not wear them anymore. Zai has a long torso, and long legs, standing at five foot, nine inches. His chest is very..cut out. You can see almost all of the muscles and even his rib cage sticks out slightly.

His normal attire consists of darker clothing. Old band tee shirts[The Beatles, KISS, Led Zeppelin, etc.], polo shirts, solids, button downs, and even a few muscle tees. Though the only pants he usually wears are black or grey skinny jeans and occasionally basketball shorts, though they aren't preferred. And he hates shoes, with a passion, but when he does have to wear them he prefers DC's.

Image

Personality
Zaisuke does not feel nervous in social situations, and has a good impression of what others think of him. He likes to speak out, take charge, and direct the activities of others. He is usually the leader in group activities. He prefers dealing with either people or things rather than ideas. He regards intellectual exercises as a waste of his time. He finds helping other people genuinely rewarding and is generally willing to assist those who are in need. He also finds that doing things for others is a form of self-fulfillment rather than self-sacrifice, however he does not enjoy confrontation, but will stand up for himself or push his point if he feels it is important. He has strong will-power and is able to overcome your reluctance to begin tasks.

He is a calm person who is considered almost fearless by some. He rarely gets angry and it takes a lot to make him angry. Mostly his emotions are on an even keel and he does not get depressed easily. He does not feel nervous in social situations, and has a good impression of what others think of him. He is poised, confident, and clear-thinking when stressed.

He genuinely likes other people and will openly demonstrate positive feelings toward others. He makes friends quickly and it is easy for him to form close, intimate relationships. He finds the company of others pleasantly stimulating and rewarding, and enjoys the excitement that crowds provide. He likes to speak out, take charge, and direct the activities of others. He is usually the leader in group activities. He leads a fast-paced and busy life. He moves about quickly, energetically, and vigorously and is always involved in many activities. He loves the bright lights and hustle and bustle. He takes risks, and he seeks thrills.

He is a moderately imaginative person who enjoys a good balance between the real world and fantasy. Zai is reasonably interested in the arts, but mostly interested in just music. He has good access to and awareness of his own feelings. Always eager to try new activities, travel, and experience different things. Finding familiarity and routine boring, he will take a new route home just because it is different. Often he exhibits a readiness to challenge authority, convention, and traditional values. He also feels a certain degree of hostility toward rules and perhaps even enjoy ambiguity.

He naturally assumes that most people are fair, honest, and have good intentions. He sees no need for pretense or manipulation when dealing with others and are therefore candid, frank and sincere. People find it relatively easy to relate to him. He does not like to claim that he is better than other people, and is generally shy from talking himself up. He is tenderhearted and compassionate, feeling the pain of others vicariously and are easily moved to pity.

He believes that he has the intelligence, common sense, drive, and self-control necessary for achieving success. In general he tends to be disorganized and scattered. His sense of duty and obligation is average and although he is mostly responsible, he can sometimes be unreliable. He often says or does the first thing that comes to mind without deliberating alternatives and the probable consequences of those alternatives.

History
Zaisuke has always been jealous of his brother. He was always the stronger one, the taller one, the better looking one. Zaisuke was always kept in the confinements of his room, and after awhile he felt no need to leave. And though Zaisuke loves his brother, like any sibling should, he also holds a certain hatred for him, as does he his parents. Though he would not wish them ill will or want anything bad to happen to them. He is simply, jealous. Of their sight, or constantly lurking in his brothers shadow. So when he turned eighteen, he ran. And one day, perhaps it was by chance, he ended up at the human registry center. It was perfect, he could stay here without his parents breathing down his neck every moment of the day. But now he would be dealing with a vampire biting on his neck whenever they want. Which is better? Well he's gonna find out.

So begins...

Zaisuke sat on the bus, staring at the red-haired girl opposite him. She looked to be asleep, so he didn't have to be caught staring, but even if she was awake it really would not have bothered him. Her hair was so strange, when he said red, he wasn't being completely specific. Red could be any color. Maroon, burgundy, auburn, chestnut, crimson...too many. But her hair, was a fiery red. Like she had dyed it. Oh, she had to have died it that color. There wasn't a soul on this earth that could be born with that natural color. And not only was it that fiery red, but there was darker red mixed in, just in certain spots, like it was wet or something. Maybe it was, maybe they let her take a shower before coming here. Who knew? He certainly didn't. Back at the faculty he hadn't seen either of the people currently on the bus. He hadn't seen anyone but the stupid scientist that came in to check on him all the time. Ask him if he was healthy, if he had any blood diseases, heart problems. Of course he said no, he was perfectly healthy. Not one problem with him.

His thoughts strayed back to the other girl, and his eyes followed. This one was gorgeous, not his type, but beautiful nonetheless. Actually she looked as if she could have just been pulled from some Victoria's Secret magazine, not that he'd ever looked in one of those before. Forget that, thoughts back to the girl. Were they all going to the same place? It seemed so, why would they put them all of the same bus and ship them to different places? Well, perhaps it was because there was only three of them, why waste three buses? But even so, he still thought they were headed in the same direction. Last stop, deaths row. Funny, right. Maybe they were being sent to death, wouldn't that be nice. Standing up, he made his way to a seat nearer the golden haired fae. "Hello."

Kat felt sick. Long car rides and her didn't get along, and they'd been on one for almost three hours now. Again she looked around at all the passengers, wondering how they felt, wondering what they knew. A strange man had come to her room, more like a cell, almost a fortnight ago, telling her that people would be coming in and testing her. For what? Blood diseases, heart problems, anything that could count as a 'defect'. Did the man visit all these people too? Did they all have to have the tests? So many questions swam around in her head, but she felt as if she'd lost her voice, unable to ask any of them.

Finally she was about to fall asleep, and everything faded to black as she slipped into a world of nightmares and ironically, long rides on buses.

Lacianne Fluer Roux

Her face a calm mask, Lacianne sacred out the window. She didn't dare allow her bright blue eyes to stray from the glass, afraid of what she would see. She knew there were two others with her, one male and one female. Were they to have the same fate as her? Had they willingly signed up for it?
After a few hours of staring out the window blankly, a slow-moving numbness came over her. She couldn't be more thankful. Anything to keep her stomach from churning and her head spinning.

They whole experience she had been completely uncomfortable with. When they came in, checking on her, making sure she was a healthy volunteer. Everything checked out. She was healthy, even with a rare blood type- o negative. Not that it mattered to her. Nothing really mattered anymore. She just had to stay alive and willingly allow herself to be a snack for some bloodsucker. The thought was disgusting to her, but she knew she had to. If she didn't, the only person in the world that she had left would die.

"Hello." Laci jumped when someone spoke to her. She looked over at him, deciding what to think of him. He was handsome, with dark eyes and brown hair. His face was gentle, easy to trust. Unless, like Laci, you were just a cynic.
She sat there for a moment, weighing her options. If her was going to the same place as her, then he very well may end up being the only human interaction she would get. Play nice, Laci.

She sat up and offered him a wary half smile. "Hello. I'm Lacianne, but I may let you call me Laci since it seems like we are going to be the only humans around. I doubt the bloodsuckers will care for petty nicknames. After all, we're just walking refrigerators, right?" She murmured, her British accent giving her voice a light lilt. "And you are?" She raised a brow questioningly, looking over with in an unsure, yet still friendly manner.

"Nicknames aren't petty, Laci." Zai liked her already, simply because she was trying to be nice to him. He was awkward and shy, once people got to know that, they tended to stay away from him. And it saddened him to know that just because of that, they wouldn't even try to get to know him. Could he truly be that terrible? Perhaps he was. Maybe that was why he was here, on this bus, going to possible death. Sadly enough, it didn't bother him. If he was supposed to die, well, he was supposed to die. "They are who we are." Sure, he didn't really know why he said that, or how he figured that nicknames represented a person, but in his head it all made sense. Now he just hoped she didn't question it. "Also, don't think about yourself like that. Without us 'walking refrigerators', they might as well step out into the sun now." The vampires couldn't go on killing humans forever. Sometime the city officials would find out, be that next month or next year.

"I'm Zaisuke, but since that's a bit of a mouthful, you can call me Zai." Her voice had an accent. British maybe, but he couldn't be sure. He wasn't good at accents, and he also was half-deaf so it was pretty hard for him to hear anything she said. It was a stupid accident when he was younger, throwing firecrackers with his brother. The firecracker wasn't supposed to be lit, but it was, and he was in the way. He still had the scar above his ear, but you couldn't really see it after his hair covered it up.

Kat awoke as she felt the bus lurch to a stop. Blinking twice, she sat up and ran her fingers through red hair, looking around. Two people, the male and female from before, sat up front and seemed to be talking. Looking out the window only showed her that it was nighttime, which wasn't a big surprise. Vampires couldn't go out in the sun, right? It burnt them or something, which always seemed silly to her. They were so strong and fast and all that stuff, but they couldn't go out in the sun? Maybe that was a way to make sure they didn't 'abuse' their powers. There weren't any night Olympics, right? Or sports really, it seemed like most sports were played in the daytime. Other than some football games and stuff..but they couldn't just come to some of the games and not the others.

Dismissing the thoughts, she stretched and stood up. Were they getting off here?

"Nicknames aren't petty, Laci." The boy pointed out, causing her to chuckle lightly. He seemed somewhat awkward, not that it really bothered her. Even if she wasn't in this position, she probably would have befriended him. She generally preferred people tat were more stubborn and reckless, but she liked to root for the underdog just as well.
"They are who we are." He told her, and she tilted her head very slightly. "Well, perhaps. If they alive then any be they would care. But they're not. "

"Also, don't think of yourself like that. If it wasn't for us 'walking refrigerators', they might as well walk into the sun now." She sighed, figuring he was right. Giving themselves up to save so many other humans seemed like the best option for everyone.
"I guess. But who's to say they won't just kill us and then go on, killing humans? I'm sure at some point they will get tired of us."

"I'm Zaisuke, but since that's a bit of a mouthful, you can call me Zai." The boy, Zai, told her and she nodded. "Nice to meet you, Zai. And don't worry about your name being long- try being in first grade and learning how to spell Lacianne while other people had names like Matt." She chuckled.
Just as she spoke, the bus came to a stop. Her stomach clenched as they sat there for a moment, before the door was opened and they were ordered to step out. Laci was tempted to disobey, but decided it would be best to just get out and not act like a stubborn child.

Laci got off the bus, and stared st the building in front of them. It certainly didn't look inviting. She though she heard the driver say something, but she wasn't paying any attention to him. She glanced back to see him driving away. They were stuck here now. She glanced at the other humans, wondering if they should wait here for the vampires, or if they were supposed to go up to the house. Se certainly wouldn't be doing that willingly.

Practice, yes. Amelia was right; feeding would simply be a trial and error sort of thing. Hopefully the error wouldn't be too much so. He did spend a large amount of money on his blood bag. Bastien kept telling himself that so hopefully he wouldn't forget why he was supposed to stop feeding before she died in his arms.

The new moonlight felt lovely on his skin, the same as if a human stepped into the sun after chilling in the A/C all day long. His skin was sensitive enough to pick up on the subtle light and it always did feel nice. A little chilly perhaps, but it wasn't too bad. Not bad at all, in fact, as his body began to heat up from the inside out. He swallowed past the flaming desert that was his throat, hearing the soundtrack of his life three times over. Thump, thump. Thump, thump.
"Give it three days to recover." He was told. Lorcain's hand fell upon his shoulder and that was how he knew that he was sincere about helping him keep his new pet alive. "Remember, nobody wants to play with broken toys."
"How true," Bastien spoke through a sore throat.

Bastien had noticed that Amelia was also struggling with the thirst, but she handled the thoughts much differently than her brothers did. Bastien and Lorcain would think about the hunt like one looked forward to Thanksgiving meal after not eating the rest of the day, whereas Amelia's diet made her sick to think about. The two had tried to tell her dozens of times over that it's natural, but that was just Amelia. Bastien would never understand her thinking and he accepted that. He wondered how she would handle the situation.

Bastien did his best to control his thoughts as he approached the three people in front of them. He wasn't aware which was his, except that it was female. Only they knew who had purchased them. There was a blonde girl and a girl with colorful hair. The man he paid hardly any attention to except a quick glance over. "Good evening, ladies." He reached forward gently in hopes of not spooking the two as he reached for one hand each of theirs. He carefully brought each one to his lips one at a time and kissed softly before letting them fall back to their sides. He turned to the man. "Sir," he nodded at him to acknowledge him before continuing. "My name is Bastien Delacroix. This is my brother and sister," he gave a hand gesture towards them. "I will let them introduce themselves." He stepped back to give the humans a bit of space while two more vampires introduced themselves to them. He watched the girls' eyes and where they looked to between the three of them and curiously wondered, was this the closest they'd ever been to a vampire?

Sir! The. Vampire. Called. Him. Sir. Zai was about ready to jump up and down squeeing like a child, and only barely contained himself. Quickly getting his mind back under control, he nodded back and gave a bright grin. Oh, this would be so much fun! His eyes roamed over everyone in attendance. The vampires stood facing them all, Zai on the far left with the red haired girl to his right, and then Laci was all the way over on the other side. Well, actually, she was quite close. But Zai still wanted to run over to her side. She was the only one he knew here, sort of, and she was nice to him. That was the most important thing, since there wasn't many people who were nice to him. You know, big brother had always got the attention. And at the faculty, no one even spoke to him. They were all pretty scary actually, and they all seemed strong enough to crush him just by sitting on him. If he'd known he was going to end up there, maybe he would have joined his brother one of those times he offered to take him to training. But of course, that was never Zai's thing, so he never went.

Now his eyes wandered back to the vampires. He had to belong to the female one, that would make the most sense. Not that he would complain if he was owned by one of the equally handsome males. Owned, what a peculiar word to be using in this sense. Were they really going to treat them like property? This was going to be so interesting, to be able to observe the vampires up close! Or at least he'd be able to observe his vampire, hopefully she wouldn't mind. Or he. We're just going to call it she, because he was fairly positive that he belonged to the beautiful fae. And she was beautiful, though she sort of looked like she just tumbled out of bed. Oh! Another question to ask them, did they sleep? Could they? Was it just like a...blank state? That would be so strange, but at the same time so interesting. Would they stay in the blank state for long? Could they get lost there? Zai. His thoughts abruptly stopped and he tried to bring himself back to the current situation. Hopefully he would have time for questions later. Was he supposed to introduce himself now? Perhaps not, he should just be quiet until they ask him to speak..or maybe they would think him rude. Oh no.

Sarah was the last one off the bus, and since she hated being on the outside, she went to stand in between the two humans. Not that she wasn't a human, but there was now two different species here, she had to be careful. One of the male vampires came close to them and extended a hand, which she warily placed her smaller hand in. When his lips touched her skin she flinched, it was almost unnoticeable, but didn't snatch her hand back like she wanted too. Though when her hand returned to her side, she subtly wiped the back of it on her dark jeans. It wasn't that she wanted to be rude, but she wouldn't have let anyone kiss her hand. In some way she understood his wanting to be, gentlemanly maybe, and she respected that, but it wasn't needed. Or at least not for her. She couldn't say for the other two, maybe they had expectations of these hot, gentlemanly, sweep-you-off-your-feet bloodsuckers. Oh wait, there was a movie about that already. Twilight. Kristen Stewart is not a good actress...

The girl calmly looked over each of the vampires. All of them were good-looking, even the female, and she so did not swing that way. But it was almost, unbelievable. How perfect looking they were. Well, the female looked a bit out-of-sorts, but who wasn't at this moment? At least she was being brave enough to show it. Both the men had brown hair, both very handsome. Not that she would let herself dwell on that, but she was a girl, and she did appreciate attractive guys. Though which did she belong too? The gentleman, or the polished one? Polished, heh, barbie doll.

Lorcain observed the humans. One male, two females. He know he didn't order the male, clearly that was Amelia's pick. Not that it mattered, blood was blood, it didn't matter what gender the source was. Though, Lorcain would admit, he rather enjoyed female prey. Not because they were generally easier to seduce, it was the way they swooned in his arms when he bit them. The sink of his fangs in their tender skin, the sigh of pleasure escaping their lips...There was something seriously taboo, and intoxicating about being bit by a vampire, more popular among the female population. As long as they were willing to oblige, Lorcain was willing to bite.

'Well, willing prey or not...I'm always ready to bite,' Lorcain thought grimly.

Stepping forward, Lorcain examined the females. Very pretty indeed, for humans at least. The blonde was short, and petite- very elegant and definitely European. Lorcain let his eyes roam, and found what he was searching for- it laid on her wrist, a small plastic band, with her identifying name and purchase number. 'Bless technology,' Lorcain thought, 'purchase number, tracking numbers. Makes life so much easier.' He looked to the other female- a clear counterpart of the first, with fire red hair (Dyed? Most likely, he thought. Why would anyone do that to their natural hair color?) and she seemed much quieter then the others. The red head also had a plastic ban on her wrist, her name and purchase information, even her blood type. Lorcain was no fool, he saw the subtle hand movement, the wiping of Bastien's kiss.

Generally, he would be insulted FOR Bastien, but he also couldn't blame the human girl. She was just delivered for the soul purpose to feed a vampire- trust wasn't given. That said something about her attitude and instincts, this girl would be hard headed and stubborn. Help him, if this was his human.

He looked to the three humans, a small, gentlemen like smile on his face. "Lorcain," he began. "My name is Lorcain O'Dwry, a pleasure."

He produced a folded piece of paper from his pocket, looked over it for a moment. He never knew what his human looked like, or her name, the blood bag was purchased on a simple taste test. Lorcain was given small samples of blood of the provided humans and he chose what he liked best. Like wine tasting, but for vampires. He grinned at the irony of it all. When the property was purchased, they were given a number sequence indicating the matching human to the blood. Lorcain assumed the same numbers would be on the wrist bands.

After the pleasantries, he would examine the wrist bands and finally claim what was his.

The tiny pulses in their wrists, their necks, did not bowel Amelia over as much as she had braced herself for-- thought that should have been expected. She supposed she had romanticized the human flow of blood. After all, there were many small animals in these woods, and their pulses did not often send her into a bloodlusting frenzy. ("Often" being the key word. Once, the sudden appearance of a deer caught her by surprise, and before she knew what had happened, she was crouching over a massacred carcass. Not pretty. Afterwards, she hurled up the contents of her stomach into the creek; animal blood was promising in smell, in texture, in feel, but the taste was just revolting in comparison to bona fide human blood. Besides, [ii]anyone[/i] would be disgruntled when one second they were sniffing a delicate flower and the next they were looking up from deer intestines.)

She breathed a sigh of relief that none of the humans had any open wounds. That would have been a problem.

No, it wasn't the pulses that took her off guard. It was the heartbeats.

She was shocked to remember how loud a human heartbeat could be. Slowing, speeding, fluttering, pounding. Ba-dump, ba-dump, ba-dump. In their house it could be as silent as the grave with how fluidly vampires could move, without a pulse, without a heartbeat. But the humans-- they were deafening. Amelia pushed her too-long bangs out of her face, slightly appalled, allowing the moonlight to fall across her skin; her ivory complexion almost glowed in the beams. How did the humans stand it? All those fluids sloshing back and forth, air flowing in and out, organs moving and beating and pulsing without permission.

After Bastien's introduction-- warm pride of his manners blossomed within Amelia's chest, despite knowing that he was probably just trying to charm them for later convenience, and even Lorcain's greetings were tolerable-- Amelia stepped forward and inclined her head. "My name is Amelia," she said, giving a small and rather apologetic smile, as if trying to make amends for her whole race. She was surprised that none of the three had even tried to attack them yet. Humans had attempted far more futile attempts on vampires' lives before this; she'd seen it. Perhaps this was a sign of cooperation between races? Tensions relieving? She could only pray that it would be so, but as long as vampires mail ordered humans for food, she wasn't sure that they could ever see each other as more than monsters and buffet tables.

"And yyyou mmust be Zaisuke," she added in a sudden burst of self consciousness, eagerly turning towards the boy. He looked around the age she had been when she was turned, perhaps younger. He looked as if he were brimming, positively buzzing with life. (Oh, God, Amelia, stop thinking of his pulse! He's a person, not a meal!) Oh, wait, oh no, was he one of those vampire-obsessed necrophiliacs? She'd heard that the registry centers were full of them. No, he couldn't possibly be; he looked so earnest. And why was her stutter acting up so badly? She wanted to kick herself! "It's a pleasure to mmmeeet yyou," she added, robes fluttering about her frail shoulders as she approached him and extended her hand.

Lacianne braced herself as the vampires approached her. She squared her shoulders and was tempted to cross her arms, but didn't want to seem too standoffish so she held her ground. She couldn't help but notice they were all very attractive. Their skin was light but not ghostly white like in the stories, and almost flawless. The two males had warm brown hair and eyes.
She was fine until one of the attractive males approached her and the other girl. She very hesitantly aloud him to take her hand, but when her brought her hand to his mouth her eyes widened. Was he about to bite her? Seriously?! She wasn't even through the door and he was trying to make a meal of her?!

She twisted her hand away and jerked back, her blue eyes bright and wild. It was then she watched him gently bring the other girl's hand to his lips, then release her. Oh. She was too stubborn to say she was sorry for the misunderstanding, so instead she crossed her arms over her chest and at lease tried to be civil. She really hoped the other male had 'bought' her, so she wouldn't have to deal with someone who probably thought she hated him. " "My name is Bastien Delacroix. This is my brother and sister," He went on, and she wanted to hit her head on something. Of corse. She was pretty sure that this was her vampire.

"Lorcain. My name is Lorcain O'Dwry, a pleasure." The other vampire introduced himself, taking away her attention. She didn't respond, other then giving him a wary glance as she twisted the rubber bracelet on her wrist. As she did, she was sure they could see the tattoo she had on her wrist. Fighter. She hoped it served as a warning to them- she was not going to sit by passively and enjoy being fed off of.

After a moment of silence between the four, while Zai met his vamp, she decided she might as well give them her name. "Lacianne Fluer Roux. If I happen to decide that I like you -which is highly unlikely, keep in mind- I may allow you to call me Laci. That is, of course, unless you are just planning on killing us and getting new blood bags." She held her head high, flicking back a golden look and raising a brow daringly. Her lilting English accent softened her voice a fraction, but it was cold nonetheless.

Bastien was slightly taken aback by the force of which the blonde one pulled away her hand. He smirked just a little, and noticed the other girl wiping his kiss away from her hand. "It seems you're not ones for old fashioned hospitality," he said, watching the two. It amused him, as he was much too young to come from an age where that kind of hospitality was commonplace. He wondered if he was beginning to lose his touch, but then inwardly laughed at the thought. Impossible. Just out of practice, is all.

He watched his brother and sister introduce themselves. The blood bags seemed to take to them much more nicely, which made Bastien feel a little impatient. The one male human, Zaisuke, seemed positively excited about the experience. How interesting! Bastien had not missed the grin that came along with acknowledging his nod. He ran his tongue over the tip of his right fang as he thought. He was in for either a pleasantly euphoric experience later on, or a night terror he wouldn't wake up from, when he began to realize what vampires were really like. Bastien considered these types of humans to be naive, stupid even, not to fear his kind. Perhaps Amelia would let him feed on him once or twice... though he doubted it. Amelia was too much of a human-hugger.

The word "Fighter" on her wrist proved to show in how the blonde one acted as Lacianne introduced herself with plenty of attitude. A grin spread wider across Bastien's face as she spoke. An excitement began to build inside of him. It made him antsy and he desired to begin the chase of winning this woman over, one way or another. She raised an eyebrow like Go ahead, I'll die with dignity. Bastien couldn't take it anymore. In a quick flash, he'd stepped beside Lacianne and grabbed hold of her wrist. He could feel her struggles but held her arm still as he twisted the band around. He saw the name and smiled again, an excited laugh coming through. He let her arm free. "Oh, this is going to be fun. Highly unlikely? For your sake, let's hope not!" Bastien looked to his siblings, a certain spark in his eye that was not there a few minutes ago.

Lacianne watched Bastian carefully just after she spoke. She could recognize excitement building. Before she could move, he had her wrist and was reading her wristband. She immediately tried to rip away her arm, almost growling as she jerked back. Her let go of her wrist, grinning wildly as he saw she was 'his'. It was disgusting, really, buying a human like she was property. As though she wasn't a living being who was fully aware of what was going on. If she was going to be forced into this, she would go kicking and screaming.

"Oh, this is going to be fun. Highly unlikely? For your sake, let's hope not!" Her vampire told her, with a bright spark in his eye. Laci's lips curled into a sugary smile, as she neared the vampire. When she was a mere few inches away from him, she rested her hand flat on his chest and stood on her toes so she was closer to his face. Her bright blue eyes showed no fear as she spoke softly.
"For my sake, eh? Well you see, this can go two ways. I can be relatively easy, with a little banter here and there but overall a pleasure. Or, I can give you trouble at every turn, and stay completely unwilling through this entire. . . partnership." Laci gave him an alluring smile and bated her lashes twice. "Your choice, love."

With that, she chuckled and rocked back on her heels before spinning around and returning to her original spot. Sure, she knew that he very well could have killed her right there but once you've already escaped death you tended to be a bit more. . . daring. Well, that or paranoid.

Her eyes flicked towards the human she had befriended, Zai. He seemed almost. . . exited at this whole situation. It was surprising- who would be happy to be put in this position? The only reason she had was to save her aunt, although she figured after she left her uncle probably put her down like a sick dog. Just like her mother, and almost her.
Better a quick and painless death then a slow and painful one.

Sarah held back a laugh as she watched the blonde. Were all girls so dramatic and bitchy? Personally, she liked to think that she wasn't like that. Though who knew what other people thought of her. Actually, who cared? The other vampire approached her and bowed, another gesture that she thought silly, but at least he wasn't being rude. Without him even needed to grab her hand, she offered her arm to him, presenting the wrist band. It was some sort of silly receipt, though a wrist band was better than actually being branded. God, that would be degrading, practically putting them in the same group as cattle.

The vampire grew quiet, and she continued to watch the happenings around her. Miss blondie had returned to her spot and the boy at the other end seemed to still be vibrating. It was odd, that he seemed to actually be thrilled about this. Though, this was probably better than staying at that facility forever, and she certainly was not about to complain. So maybe she would have to deal with a vampire feeding off of her maybe once or twice a day, and maybe sex if that was what he desired. It was a hell of a lot better than how those guards and scientists treated them.

Her eyes flicked back to Lorcain when he spoke again. Chambers? She hadn't expected to actually have a room... actually she might have preferred to just sleep on a couch somewhere. Nodding slightly, she took a hesitant step forward. "Lead the way, vampire."

Though slightly hesitant, Zai took the offered hand to shake before placing his hands back at his side. "It's great to meet you too, Amelia." His eyes widened slightly. "You don't mind if I call you Amelia, do you? I don't mean to be disrespectful, 'just thought we might get along better if I stop thinking about how your race is so more advanced then ours." Giving a small smile, he tried to stop his leg from shaking. Though from stopping that he began to play with his hands again. It was an endless cycle, stop the leg, start the hands. Stop the hands, the twitches start. Cease twitching, eyes start flicking around crazily. Maybe he could just handle the leg shaking, surely she wouldn't mind that much. Maybe she wouldn't even notice it.

"Oh, and it you'd like you can call me Zai. Zaisuke is such a mouthful." He repeated almost his exact words from earlier, from when he was speaking to Laci. Hopefully the vampires would allow the humans to continue to interact, he would miss his new friend. It wasn't like they could really do anything though, even together, so he really didn't see a reason that the vampires wouldn't let them talk. Even with the two of them together, a single one of them could kill them before they even got to react. "And please don't think I'm weird for acting sort of excited, I'm just so happy to be out of that place. And I was hoping that we'd be friends or something, that's sort of silly isn't it?" He shook his head, eyes stuck on the ground. Something about actually being so up and close with a female, especially one that could drain his body in a few seconds, was making him flustered and unable to look straight at her.

Lorcain held the door open for his blood bag, examining her as she walked by. Really, he was listening to her heart and pulse. Seemed strong enough, beating a bit fast, most likely due to stress or nervousness. What human wouldn't be under some stress in this situation?

...Well, Amelia's human was a slightly different story. His poor sister, she just so happened to purchase the fang lover of the bunch, and the human was paired with the worst vampire for it. He would hardly be fed on, if ever. Amelia would most likely feed here in the next few days, her bloodlust must be rising, but she would damn near starve herself before she had the touch the human again. And Amelia was master of starvation...

The same couldn't be said for Lorcain, he would most likely feed twice or three times a week of his blood bag, maybe more depending on how well she took to biting. Or how much he would like to feed from her...He still wouldn't deny himself a hunt every so often, his instincts could not, and would not, be ignored.

Leading Sarah into the house he pointed into a few different directions. "Kitchen," the word was alien to him after so long...he wasn't sure if they even used the kitchen for anything, "to the left, I believe. Honestly, I forgot we had a kitchen. Dinning room somewhere in there as well." He laughed inwardly, what the hell did a vampire need a kitchen for? Pointing to the front of him, "Parlor and living room. Beyond that is the library." He walked up the stairs, he could feel the female's human's light footsteps behind him, as they reached the top he simply pointed to one end of the hallway. "Your chambers are located here."

He walked her down, and opened three doors. All the rooms were technically available, and had been clean and prepared for the blood bag's arrivals. No particular room was assigned to no particular human. They all looked about the same, furniture wise, it really just depended on how well she liked windows and natural lighting. Something Lorcain had not thought about in ages, his windows (at least during the day) were securely tied shut with several layers of heavy draping. He had not bothered to point out where he and his siblings slept, there was no need for the blood bag to know where to find him when he was at his most vulnerable.

"Choose whichever room you like, your bags will be brought to you. After you have somewhat settled, join me in the library. We have....matters to discuss."

Amelia's head twitched in Bastien's direction at his deplorable display. It was none of her business, but still, his behavior grated at her. In the parking lot? Truly? Was he really going to feed here? Amelia's hands tightened into little white fists. Her youngest brother needed to learn some restraint. It was as if he had no respect for what he was, what he represented. Was he really content to lower himself to a savage? Shooting him a dark glare, a growl rose in her throat.

But she forced a shuddering breath (an unnecessary process, yet still calming) and shook her head. Scraggly blond hair fell across her face. As the blond woman (beautiful in a mortal way, ferocious, so that it seemed as if she were striving to defy her own beauty) snapped back at Bastien, Amelia's eyes softened. It's funny how her heart could find a way to melt in pity at just about anything-- anything human related, that is; she tended to judge her countrymen more cruelly.

Later on, Amelia mused, she would converse with the girl. Her brothers could be... quite unforgiving.

Then again, the girl (Lacianne?) looked like she was methodically planning out how to beat Bastien to the floor, rip off his head with her bare hands, ground it in garlic, soak it in holy water, and mount it in the stake in the sunlight. Fried vampire head for breakfast.

Amelia sort of didn't doubt that the girl could implement it.

Her attention returned to Zaisuke as he stuttered through his introductions with many apologies and much shaking. A pang of empathy struck her unbeating heart so fiercely that she wanted to give him a hug! Poor guy. He looked like he was about to collapse on the spot; either that or vibrate straight out of his clothes. She was unsure of what to make of his style. (Amelia, after all, hardly knew what was "popular" nowadays). She did not recognize the label on his T-shirt.

Her eyes widened when, at last, she lifted her gaze to his. Swirling in the warm chocolate hue of his pupils were golden flecks, so startling that she double checked to see if he was even human. She couldn't remember the last time that a human drew her attention just through his appearance. She lifted a pale hand to her mouth, touching her lip thoughtfully.

She moved closer so that they could have more privacy from Bastien and Lacianne's... spectacle.

"A pleasure to meet you, Zais... Zzzzai," she greeted, clasping her skeletal hands together and dipping her head in welcome. "So much taller than me..." she mumbled, hopefully too soft for him to hear. "Oh, yes! Plllease do call me Amelia. I don't want to be a..." She shrugged, not wanting to say 'master'. Still, his suggestion pleased her.

She gave an excited but subdued smile, full of shy white teeth and fangs. "I am haaappy about this situation. I want to let yyou know that I... thhere is..." She sighed and fidgeted. As always, her train of thought escaped her, and it was frustrating. Determined, she pressed on, "I do nnnot have any intention of fffeeding from you. I do not like being beholden to the desires of my race." At this, she brushed a curl behind her ear, a habit; her fingers picked at each other and she looked at her hands. She was aware of how odd the situation was.

Almost in exhaustion, she finished her (much-rehearsed) introduction speech. She was rather proud that she finished without stutter.

She didn't plan on feeding from him. The words sort of, well, surprised him. But they didn't make him any less happy. It wasn't about having some vampire suck on his neck or something, it was the idea of potentially having a friend that excited him about this place. Okay, maybe it was also a bit of his curiosity about the vampires too, but it didn't mean he was thrilled about having his blood stolen from him. Though now she was pretty much saying she wasn't going to do that, so this would be even better? They could be friends, and he could ask her questions, and she could ask him questions. If she liked that, or maybe she would just lock him in a room. That would be terrible, very terrible. Ever since Dracula, Zai had been interested in the supernatural. Not in a weird way, it was just the preferred subject of books he read. And now to actually meet a... well 'supernatural'? It was exciting, there was no way to deny that. He didn't want to deny that, it wasn't like he was some creepy guy that thought ghosts stalked him every moment of the day. Ghosts weren't real, other things weren't real, but the vampires obviously were very real. Without thinking, he shrugged. To his inner conversation. And probably looked like an idiot.

Oh well.

With a calmer smile, he took a small step back so he could see her fully. Looking directly into a persons eyes scared him, especially because of the golden specks in his own eyes. His family used to make him wear contacts because of it, but he refused to do so anymore. The stares didn't matter to him, he liked being him, he would be him. They already teased him enough about being bisexual, or they used too, so why not have given them something else to tease him about? He almost shrugged again, but reminded himself that Miss Amelia probably could not hear his internal conversation. "Well, Miss Amelia, do you mind if I ask what you do plan to feed off of then? Or can vampires survive without blood?" Zai wasn't sure exactly what else he could say, so he hoped she wouldn't mind him asking something.

Kitchen, god she couldn't cook for the life of her. This was going to be great, she'd probably poison herself before the vampire had time to suck all the blood out of her. Actually, the only thing she could make was a salad. Which would work out pretty well because she didn't like to eat much else, not that she was a vegetarian or something weird like that, just really picky when it came to food. It was another one of those silly things that made people laugh, but her brother had been the same way. Meat was just fine to eat, but she didn't know what they had stocked in the kitchen. Probably not meat, at least she would assume not. And she really shouldn't risk cooking anything, she'd burn the house down or... die or something.

Next he mentioned the dining room, and the living room, but the one word that confused her was parlor. What the hell was a parlor? At the moment it made her feel really stupid, and poor since there house had a kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. No parlor to be seen. Maybe he meant a sitting room or something, that would make sense. Finally they came to the bedrooms, and she nodded slightly. Peeking in each room, she settled with the one with the least amount of light. Or so it seemed, as the heavy-looking curtains covered the window completely. "This room would be lovely." She said, gesturing towards it with the slight tilt of her head.

"And actually, if you wouldn't mind, may I accompany you to the library now? That's really the only room I'm interested in, s'long as I'm allowed to borrow the books." It didn't matter what sort of books they had in there, she would read whatever she could get her hands on. If they had books in there... but what else would they need a library for? She made a mental note to ask him about the bathrooms too, since she wasn't sure if the rooms had their own bathroom or... well she would ask. Gently biting her bottom lip, she latched her hands together and rocked back on her heels, waiting for his answer.

At the human's question, Amelia's pale eyebrows lifted in pleasure and embarrassment, pleased that he'd shown an interest. Not many humans on this earth would be fine with standing in the midst of the night before a vampire's lair and having a discussion about the species! Still, she was eager to educate him. After all, hate and prejudice was what had sparked the Sun War.

Her long fingers twitched wistfully at the thought. Remembering the Sun War never failed to bring a reaction to the surface. It had been such a dark and blood era of human history, and vampire history too, many of her friends had died. To some extent, there was still a raw patch of her heart from the uncertain time period, but here in this cool night air with soft, thudding pulses echoing in her sensitive ears it was hard to be unhappy. For a moment she closed her eyes, hoping that her abstinence would maintain its strength throughout these next years. That she would continue to see Zaisuke and Lacianne and the fiery-headed one as-- well, as human beings, as people, not just refrigerators filled with delicious food.

Already, it was hard to do so; a vampire's mind was filled with so many years of experience, and besides, being turned changed how you viewed life. Suddenly living was not a precious commodity at all. Amelia privately thought that immortality was a self defense mechanism for vampires; knowing you would live till the end of days helped you demean life itself and not feel bad from stealing it from others. She knew that she could just so easily fall back into that routine of killing and not feeling more than pang, like you do when squashing a butterfly-- a moment of regret, but it easily passes.

Her thoughts had wandered. She turned her attention back to the conversation and saw Zaisuke shrugging, despite being sure that she hadn't said anything. Perhaps he, too, had been having his own inner monologue. A smile touched her face. It seemed that "her" human was as loopy as she was.

"Well," she answered, to address his inquiries on her diet, "I fought in the Sun War. Fought from day one. It was a long wwwar, and at the end of it I've thought... I've simply had enough of blood. My brothers think I'm a mortal-loving wet blanket." She glanced back towards the house, almost sheepishly (is "sheepish vampire" a paradox?). "I don't know hhhow long vampires survive without it-- I believe that no vampire has ever tried it-- but I suppose I will find out." She smiled, almost apologetically, and almost added 'I've lived a long time.' But she did not. She didn't want to begin by highlighting the differences.

That was the younger vamps' problems; they didn't remember the blood and turmoil and strife of the Sun War, didn't remember that bigot humans and vampires alike had begun it. The technical span of the war was six years, but anybody who knew anything was aware that far before the "sanctioned" war began, the violence lasted for about fifty years. She remembered every day of it.

Zai's questioning of her diet threw Amelia off guard ("Oh dear, I... guess I didn't do a very good job of... explaining..." she stuttered, wincing and repeatedly running her fingers through her hair despite the pain that the drag of nails-on-scalp caused her). For a moment she thought she wouldn't be able to answer properly, but gained control of her tongue. "Of c-course. Sorry. I..." With an apologetic smile, she finally stopped with her hair and calmed herself (wishing that she could take a deep breath, but of course, what would that do? She didn't breathe).

"I'mmm sorry, I know this all must be weird for you." She raised and lowered a slender, white shoulder. "I know my brothers give off a different impression. Thhey're really quite nice," she added hastily, picking at her long long fingernails. Of course, that was only when they weren't trying to... well... eat you... probably the humans wouldn't see them as kind... not that they knew Lorcain and Bastien during the war, they were loyal and wonderful warriors. Her brothers, of course! Well, hopefully they'd get used to each other. "Hopefully dddespite that, we could be friends. Do you think we could start over?"

When Zai remarked that everyone else was gone, Amelia blinked slowly as the realization came over her, and let out a groaning laugh. How poor were her reflexes getting, to have not even notice them go? "Sssorry, sorry. Of course. We shall." She gathered her cloak up and walked to the porch, hoping that he would continue the conversation. "This is our home. It used to be a mmmonastery."

"I think I have a pretty excellent taste in literature," Lorcain found himself replying in a teasing manner. "Just, really, do be careful...many of them are first editions. The Austen in particular were hard to locate...." Lorcain back tracked in his mind several decades, remembering when he first paged through Wuthering Heights. Honestly, it was aimed for female readers and hardly bothered with it when he was younger...But, in this new day and age where everybody was writer it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep trash out of his collection. Reading Austen's work was like a God send of proper story telling, even it was a romance.

"But, I will admit...I'm not a total book snob. I will give credit where it is due for those you do write wonderfully." The vampire wouldn't admit out loud and he would leave it to Sarah to find the books on the shelf...But he did have all the Harry Potter books stashed in the library. Alas, even an immortal could fall prey to a book craze...It was a ruddy good adventure.

He lead them into the library, finding Bastien and his human companion sitting in a huff and puff state. Lorcain held back a small grin, listening to his younger brother ask about his human's room. Well, the young one was trying and doing much better then expected. Lorcain thought there would be a body to dispose of tonight, however...it seemed like Lacianne would survive her first encounter. For how long, Lorcain couldn't say.

He directed Sarah to an open chair near the fir and he sat across from her. This was his usual dwelling place in the house. In the library, among his book, in this particular chair, with a roaring fire. He would always be found here, and he if he wasn't? He was most likely out stalking in the night.

"I understand this might be an odd situation, and it's clear that you're rather the private person- but this would be the last large gathering with all of us. My siblings and I tend to go about our own devices, I suspect it will be the same with you and your other mortal companions." He paused for a moment trying to recall the last time he actually sat down with Amelia or Bastien before tonight. Nearly a month ago? Time was easily unaccounted for when you were immortal. "But is is necessary you understand how our family functions. Think of it as an introduction to vampire culture."

Lorcain grinned at his own joke, his sharp canines peaking out from below his lip.

They awaited for the remaining two, Amelia and Zai before they could start.
