Have you ever thought your heart would be in another person? Experimented on, subjects try to survive or be killed. Do they have a chance or will their hearts only suffer?

Introduction

The Heart Given

What if your heart was not inside of you but within an animal spirit?

No one is perfect but in a world called Euforias you have to be the master of your own heart. There is no weakness. Because of that there are scientists that experiment on people to make them stronger. There are 3 people who were test subjects since they were children. At the age of 18 the lives of the three subjects changed. All their lives, they have felt almost empty. Almost as if something were missing. There was something missing- their hearts. The scientist had believed that if they merged with spirits they will get stronger. Their hearts were within animal spirits. As long as their animal spirits lived so did they. The scientist believed it to be a big breakthrough. If the subjects live as long as the animal sprit then they would be the perfect test subjects.

At the age of 18 the subjects are introduced to their animal spirits to see how they react together. Once they are introduced, the spirits will form their connection with a mark. Once the mark is made then the animal spirits will see them as their master. Whether they are treated cruelly or nicely they must stay with their Masters.

What the scientists do not know is that the animal spirits can enter their masters but may only enter their masters with permission. When the animal spirits enter their masters, the masters gain their power.

The animal spirits are guides for their masters. No matter how they are treated they will always have a deep love for them. They each have only one master.

But there are two scientist who have also experimented with demon blood. They are in the process of merging two subjects with demons instead of animal spirits.

Aurora- "So hot I feel so hot. What is happening to me?", She whispers as she lays on the cold hard floor; in a room filled with darkness. "I am hot but it is cold in here. I don't understand." Almost delirious, Luna attempts to get up using her feet but falls to the ground. For a moment Luna is filled with confusion. "Feet? Why do I have feet? I am in my human form but why?" The heat feels like its spreading through her veins towards her heart, pulsing with life. The closer it gets to her heart the more it burns. Her human form always made her feel trapped. So many emotions going through her, making it feel unbearable. "I am a dragon!! Fire is my power but why does this heat hurt?!" She screams in rage. Never in her life had she felt this much pain. Everything inside her felt as if it were burning. Time felt like it was going slow and the pain only increased. Laying down once again on the floor she realized tears fell down her cheeks like water drops. "When will this end? When?"

Aurora awoke with a startle. She tried to look around but her eyesight was blurry. Her head hurt as she attempted to get up but couldn't. Her body was pinned down by straps on her arms, midsection, and legs. As her eyesight cleared she was able to see a woman with short silver hair. The woman's eyes glowed like an animal finding its prey. As Aurora looked at her hands a certain chill went down her spine. Her hands were mechanical yet the woman seemed unfazed by it. The woman smiled but Aurora saw nothing friendly behind it.

Luna- Excitement coursed through her. She was hardly able to contain it. Finally they were able to summon the spirit once more. The first time this spirit fought them with all she had. What could they expect? She was a dragon after all, but now shes in her human form. "Welcome back Aurora. I never had the chance to introduce myself since last time you attacked us. My name is Luna. I am sorry to wake you up from your...dream. But it is time. Soon you will be meeting your master. I am sorry to have you pinned like this but due to last time....we cant take chances. The work you do here will benefit mankind. You are a guide. Well guide us to better the world. You and the other spirits will be doing good. If we take off the bindings will you be calm?"

Aurora- Aurora closed her eyes once more and took deep breaths. Duty is everything yet something held her back-anger. Anger coursed through her. How dare they summon her? The anger within her grew feeling like it wanted to burst. Yet with all the anger she had to calm down. She new anything can go wrong when her temper flared. Yet when Luna spoke of a "master" her curiosity was rising. "I will be calm but never summon me again." Aurora's eyes flared a deep green threatening her to say something more.

Luna- "Good I am glad things are turning out nicely." Turning to another worker, as if she wasn't fazed at all, she said "Unstrap her and bring in Julius."

Aurora- No matter how weak and tired she felt, Aurora refused to show it. She was strong but even she had her weaknesses. And now my master will know them all if I joined with him The realization made he want to back away but she stood her ground.

Their had been a time in humanity when balance was present, and was not overruled by greed or lust, or by the matters that one must always be stronger than the other. Ellis had dreams involving herself in the past, in conflicts which easily became resolved by her own mind, for her dreams were an escape, a get-away from what were to remain in the present-day. Reality were to be consistent of the greed and the lust, of the men and women who wanted to fill their pockets with money, but instead got nothing in return, for they committed murder or theft. It were to truly be sad times, but nothing shan't stop the present from changing, but it was waiting, holding its own breath for a point of peaking, where something would become the inevitable and one would have to help another. They would not turn their backs on each other, but rather offer a hand, now occupied with a friendliness not a being could obtain.

It was a fantasy.

Ellis woke with a start, clutching the midst of her chest, feeling the soft fabric underneath her harsh grip weaken, and slowly become less of a fabric and more of a weaker state of paper, wrinkled and crumpled. She released her iron grip, before standing upright, discovering her balance to be off, and clearly dizziness had obtained her senses, for she had stumbled among the room for the first few minutes of her waking. Ellis clutched her forehead, wondering of how many days had passed while she resided in a slumber, an eerie and lonesome time, although a gift, for she were to be away from the scientists. With ease, an informal doctor had entered the room, blue, latex gloves upon his hands. He looked afraid of her, and he should be; for the past incident. Ellis had gone mad, enraged, one would say if they wanted to speak in such a form of a detailed expression. Rage had overcome her entire being, and she could not process anything, she could not speak in proper sentences. It was the sounds of a primal creature rather than a human, for the past week had been her first change. The doctors and scientists claimed it had been normal, but she knew it wasn't normal. For the following three days, she had been caught in her bed, only to have been given sedatives to finally rest.

"How are you doing?" He questioned, sitting on a wooden stool in the corner of the room. He folded his legs, clicking a penβ€”the noise bothered her, but she merely ignored the sound and stared ahead. Ellis shan't bother with such a pitying question. He knew how she felt, for her expression was quite blatant; downcast eyes, pouting lips, and the marks of past tears stained her smooth cheeks. She was upset, at herself, and at the scientists, "No answer. Moving on then." The doctor marked something on the paper he carried upon a metallic clipboard. He seemed so afraid, for his shoulders were tense, his movements rigid, and his pace of breathing was not at all at ease. Her sadistic nature would have made her smile, had it not been for how tired she were to be. Smiling was such an effort in a case like hers.

Ellis exhaled heavily, a sigh which made the doctor look up, but he quickly returned back to scrawling down whatever notes he were to find interesting. Perhaps, her actions, of how she occasionally fiddled with a string from the loose blanket among the bed, or how she raked her fingers through her snarly hair, having not had access for a shower for a week. The feeling of grime upon her was too imminent to ignore. Her mood was crooked, along with her personality, and the emotions she withheld for the area. It were all to be too much, and with a sudden intention to sleep, she lay on her back, closing her eyes. The doctor had been shaking her shoulder at a consecutive pace, even going to the point of tapping his fingers on her forehead. Ellis did not mind, for he could poke and prod her all he wants; she just wanted to get away. Again.

Tick...Tock...Tick....

"Shut up."

Tick...Tock...Tick....Tock...Tick

"I said shu-"

The last word Julius had said was interrupted by the noise of a clock smashing to the ground, Julius having broken it. It wasn't a new occurrence, Julius' temper did manifest itself a lot, after all. It was however, a bother to clean up. Not that Julius would be the one cleaning it up, he'd probably end up breaking the tools to clean with.

Julius hid the small clock's debris under what he assumed to be a carpet, seeing as he didn't want to be reprimanded by one of the scientists that worked at the laboratory. There was no way he was going to admit that he had broken a clock, even if it was a clock he had bought on his own.

Julius, after having evenly spread out the debris under the carpet, walked out of what he had been designated as his room. Most people called his room drab, boring, and bland; but Julius found it was just perfect. It was mostly white, although the books on shelves did stand out.

Julius was, as he assumed would happen, intercepted by a worker. The worker brought Julius to what he assumed to be a spirit guide and the creature... the person that had his heart in them. Julius didn't stop to stare at Luna's arms. They were strange, but he had already gotten used to their strangeness. His eyes simply narrowed when his gaze landed her, a sign of annoyance.

"What is it now?" Julius suppressed the urge to insult the scientists and everyone in the room through sheer willpower. He had decided that compliance would be the easiest way to not be bothered by the scientists. His eyes darted back to the girl(Aurora) he assumed to be his soon-to-be 'spirit' guide. "My name's Julius, what's yours?" His voice was monotonous and sounded bored. He was however, far from it.

"This wont hurt me, will it?" Julius asked Luna regarding the experiment he assumed would commence. He didn't have a reason for asking whether or not it would hurt the girl(Aurora), seeing as he didn't even know her.

Julius himself wasn't bound due to the fact that he was a compliant subject. He didn't openly rebel. That, in his opinion, would have been stupid. He was nowhere near powerful enough to rebel and wouldn't do so without a plan or weapons. For now, he just had to comply. Comply and not break any more things.

"Just as a heads up, I'm not a good person." Julius stated what he believed to the so called spirit without a moment's hesitation. He didn't want to give the being the wrong impression. "I will however, be forced to stop you from killing yourself should you choose to." Julius stated this simply. He wasn't quite sure how the whole process worked, but he got the impression that he would die if the 'spirit' died.

"Nice to meet you, I hope we become the best of friends." Julius didn't put much enthusiasm into his voice. He walked closer to the spirit(Aurora) without showing an ounce of fear. He was still scared, but he wasn't going to show it. Julius believed that a person should never show their fear to a stranger. He, after having made sure the girl wasn't still strapped down, extended his hand to her in a greeting.

Luna- That aggravating little brat! Luna held her tongue and smiled at the boy without meaning it at all. The one thing she hated most was having to take care of the brats. "Julius this is your spirit guide that holds your heart." Unconsciously she started to tap her clipboard thinking, not really caring about Julius presence too much. Who needed a heart? Maybe it was best to just not have one. So much in life has always been destroyed because of what people feel in their 'hearts'.In good time we will get what we need and thats all that matters. There has to be other ways of controlling them too. But things come in due time. Sighing she thought about how the time spent here watching them was being wasted while the precious subject was still being held in her cage.

Both subjects with demon blood hold the key but it all comes with a price. Luna started to look at her hands. She felt nothing. For a while she thought she couldn't live without her hands and at times believed that there was pain but there wasn't. Her face expression changed and she became serious. No matter what happens I am in charge of this experiment. There is too much that needs to get done. Ignoring Julius's question about it hurting, Luna walked to the door and turned around to face Aurora. "You know what to do." With that she left to check on Ellis.

Aurora- Aurora stared at her Master observing him. He seemed strong and a bit careless but it made her wonder why he would be here in this place. He asked her name but it didn't seem to matter. "My name is Aurora. I am a dragon spirit." With confidence she proudly sat up facing him as she stated who and what she was even if she felt to weak to stand. There have been many things she had done but all was with hard work. Nothing was given but earned. Everything in life should be earned.

Julius stepped closer and spoke about killing her if she tried to kill herself. In disgust she stared at him. "My duties are mine alone. If I wanted to kill myself it would have been done already." Unconsciously her finger tips started to burn with fire. When she noticed it she stopped. Her temper must always be in check and so she took deep breaths.

"Just as a heads up, I'm not a good person," Julius stated.
Aurora looked up at him and smiled slightly. "No one is truly a good person. We are all neither good nor bad. If you had told me you were all good I would have called you a liar." Knowing she needed to get up she took the hand he offered. With his closeness she began to feel out of place. Luna had said I know what to do but that doesn't mean I want to.

Sighing she knew it had to be done. "I know you don't know me and so you do not believe i am your best friend. But know this, no matter what I will do what I can to serve you. I will be your weapon." Taking his hand she put it on her chest above the heart. "This heart is yours. We will merge. It will not harm you." Not thinking he needed to know, she hid the fact that it would hurt her. It would be her first time merging with him so her body would feel as if it was being taken apart while he will feel whole. Fire started to come to life around them. "Do not fear the fire. It will not hurt you." The fire came closer and closer. The fear of him knowing her personal thoughts became stronger and stronger. He will see! He will see my fear. My weakness. The fire flickered as her fear increased. She looked into his deep eyes and saw her fear mirrored in them. Slowly his hand went right through her as she stepped into his body. Feel my fire Julius but do not fear it.

Coffee from an outside of the facility source was acceptable, especially since the break room’s coffee machine seems to produce nothing but chunky black tar. This wouldn’t cause a foreseeable problem in the future, either, unless he spilled this onto something he shouldn’t. β€˜Contamination’ wasn’t a worry, not at present for the experiment at this time, so outside food products and non-uniform clothing was acceptable. Balancing the four coffee cup tray in one hand, smelling the delicious scent of the fresh bitter liquid, Wade stepped back into the main research area. Computers, computers, monitors, monitors, the select number of scientists working on today’s special…well, the project was going to take a leap forward from today onwards.

Getting to his desk, he placed the tray onto the top to allow him a moment to rest a tired wrist, noticing a small usb device seated on top of a stack of paperwork. Reach over picking it up with a forefinger and a thumb; he felt it in his hand a moment before turning it over, tape was stuck to the other side with β€˜PESR’. He’d have time to look through the contents…later. Pocketing the small object, he picked up the tray in hand again. Four cups of coffee. In the workplace, consideration, chivalry and respect were king…especially…for what he had in store, later. Wade removed the first cup, placing it on the desk to his left, and then the second cup was removed and placed on his left. The third cup was his own, and the last cup was for the head of the project.

Again, he found himself down the clinically white halls, spotting a number of his fellow scientists making their way to the monitor room. Raising a brow for a moment, he continued onwards…actually finding Dr. Hunter in the halls. That likely meant the introduction had been completed. He’d watch the recordings later. Falling into step easily, and briefly, Wade stopped his superior, β€œYour coffee, Dr. Hunter. I’d also like to speak with, you once you’ve finished up with today’s procedures...and the related paperwork.”

Luna- On her way to go check on one of the subjects Luna was stopped by a fellow scientist. To be honest she wanted to just ignore the man and keep walking, but she had an image to uphold. Sighing she stopped. at least he brought coffee "Hi Dr. Waters. Thank you for the coffee. As always you are...punctual. But I am very busy." She attempted to walk away once more but he stopped her, not letting her leave without answering the questions. "Paper work isn't as important as the experiments Dr. Waters." Luna felt like she wanted to bolt but she new she wasn't going to get rid of him that easy. "I will do the paperwork as soon as I am able."

She took a minute to just look at him. Plain but handsome in his own way. Most of all very reliable. "Dr. Waters I do appreciate you getting me up to date on what I need done. What are the papers I need?" [i] I will just have to go to the subject as soon as this is over unless she ends up causing a commotion.

Julius savored the forced and seemingly painful smile given to him by Luna, having already deduced that he wasn't seen as more than a nusiance by the scientists. It was enjoyable really, seeing them force themselves to smile, or at least he thought they were forcing themselves. He didn't really know, but he didn't really care to find out either way.

"My duties are mine alone. If I wanted to kill myself it would have been done already." Aurora managed to, In his opinion, miss the point of what he had previously said. He noticed the sudden heat and almost backed away yet somehow stood his ground. He was, believe it or not, scared. He was however, a great liar and easily managed to hide his fear. He was planning on saying something along the lines of "i'm not worried about you, I'm worried about me", but he refrained from doing so. He didn't know what would have happened had he said that.

Julius did notice that Luna hadn't answered his question about the experiment hurting and, due to his pessimistic nature, assumed it would hurt. This assumption was further helped by the fact that she left him alone with the spirit.

Such a bother...

The thought popped into Julius' head followed by a mental sigh.

Julius, after having stated his 'not being a good person', was slightly confused at the girl's subtle smile. "No one is truly a good person. We are all neither good nor bad. If you had told me you were all good I would have called you a liar." Aurora, as had been revealed to be her name earlier on, got up after saying this and took his hand. Julius had slightly flinched at Aurora's touch but had managed to subdue the urge to pull his hand back. He had to get whatever was going to happen over with.

"I know you don't know me and so you do not believe i am your best friend. Aurora said something that Julius found to be, in his opinion, a cocky statement. Julius however, held his tongue. "But know this, no matter what I will do what I can to serve you. I will be your weapon." She, without warning, moved his hand above her his heart that just so happened to be in her chest. Julius heard what he assumed to be his heart beating and found that it felt weird to hearing, he didn't like it. It sounded noisy and annoying, but it also sounded necessary.

"This heart is yours. We will merge. It will not harm you." She, unlike someone Julius knew, actually explained what was going to happen. He felt relieved that it supposedly wouldn't hurt him, but was still slightly nervous. "No way, I can't believe that's my heart. It's not like any-" Julius' anxiety-induced sarcasm was cut short when he noticed that he was probably going to be cooked alive surrounded by fire.

"Do not fear the fire. It will not hurt you." Aurora asked Julius to do something that he deemed impossible. Last time he checked, fire was very much capable of burning him. His mind was telling him to get out of there as soon as he could and make a run for it, but his heart(hah) was telling him to stay. He shut his eyes and prepared to die, as he expected he would. His internal panic was suddenly interrupted by the fact that: A) he wasn't burned to death; and B) the girl was no longer in front of him.

That's when he felt what he assumed to be a fear, but not one of his own. Julius opened his eyes and found that the girl was in fact no longer in front of him. Julius had no time to rejoice in the fact that he wasn't a pile of ashes due to the fact that he soon noticed that he was most likely merged with Aurora and the strange feeling he had in his chest. He felt, for some strange reason, whole.

Feel my fire Julius but do not fear it.

The thought that wasn't his brought his attention back to the fact that he was still standing in the fire. Two options rushed into his head.

Do not fear the fire or fear the fire

Julius was thinking which option to choose before his body decided to choose for him. Unluckily for him however, his body picked to fear the fire. This didn't help. It instead made the fire seemingly grow larger, as if his fear were somehow feeding it. The fact that he could feel her fear, albeit hers seemed to be different, didn't help either. At the very least he couldn't feel his sweat, seeing as it evaporated as soon as it came to the surface of his body.

"You're a guide right? His voice had a slight hint of shaking, "Then guide me." Julius hadn't particularly cared for an answer to his previous question. He just wanted to at the very least control the fire. He couldn't allow the experiment to fail now, he was scared of the experiment but he was more scared of what Luna might have done should he fail the experiment.

Wade paused for a millisecond, the sound of his lightly clenched fist popping audiably, not entirely sure if his superior was joking or serious. Paperwork was just as important as the experiments they documented, definitely more important than the scientists themselves, at times. With the danger of the occupation at times, any one of the staff could end up dead, even Wade himself…but the proper documentation, records and reports filed in, converted to a digital form for their heavily protected database…that would survive for (hopefully) decades to centuries after them. Holding his hand up, β€œWe can discuss later, I know you must keep appointment. The usual documentation as well as a detailed account needs to be penned down and signed by each of the present scientists, then can be gathered and handed over to me…I’ll submit a scanned and a separate fully typed version of the document into our database, it’ll be no problem.” Stepping away, he nodded curtly at his superior, β€œTake care, Dr. Hunter.”

Taking his leave, he pulled his cup of coffee from the cardboard tray and took a slow sip, tasting the bitterness of the brown-black brew. It was good, the scent alone energised him, but now he was wide awake. Stretching his neck to his right, then his left, he brought the cup of coffee to his other hand in order to pops the joins of his other hand. They made more of a sharp clicking sound. Still attending to his slow drinking, Wade made his way to one of the monitor rooms. This room in particular monitored the β€˜spirits’, as they called them, these paranormal entities. Leaning over to the nearest monitor curiously, he saw the β€˜spirit’ shaped like a regular black dog, trapped in a large carved bone cage. They had to reach out to outside sources to acquire this one, but the continuation of the project depended on multiple test subjects.

Ellis woke, again, to find the doctor lost in thought, his eyes blank, staring ahead, perhaps at the monochrome wall, or at the minimally-sized window that sat above her lowered head. The pillow and blankets they had supplied her were more meager than anything, the fabric scratchy, perhaps made of a wool bought from a cheap fabric store, and the pillows were more of the cases rather than any actual object being in the midst of it. He seemed to have gotten out of his transfix as soon as he discovered her stirring, sitting upright and pushing away the blankets, wrapped around her body, almost as if she were to be drowning in the mass of woolen fabric, it seems.

"Ah! You're awake. We were almost going to have to postpone the rather, quaint tests. We wouldn't want that, would we?" Ellis stared ahead, at the white, blank door with a small, rectangular window in the center. She couldn't answer that, for the truth would depict too many emotions that they discovered to be infiltrating the system, which would equal a rather sizable amount of sedatives and pills which were obviously apparent of destroying one's memory. The scientists were to mean business behind their smiling masks, and if one were to cooperate, the masks were thrown upon the floor, proving them to be the maniacs they haven't fulfilled yet, except they areβ€”just in a way where it seems to them they are doing the correct things. They aren't. They never will be, not with the testings they consider to help humanity, or save it. Ellis couldn't remember what small saying they had upon the blue billboard, passing it on the highway when she had been on a tour-bus in Chicago. It was some quoted sentence, likely from one of the main scientists that were to be in the very laboratory; it was likely that they were probably attempting to find a better quote. Everyone knew it was horrible, yet they couldn't face the truth, along with the truth of their career, their own sanity, and their lives. It had a gallows humor to it.

"The many tests are going to be compiled from results we have discovered due to the manual simulations you had been put through during the first stages of being introduced to this lovely family. It will be based off of your strengths and weaknesses, along with your fears, and aspirations. All I have to say to you is; good luck." Ellis exhaled, another test, somewhat new, but yet another test. It had practically been the fourth one of the week, as she didn't have the judgement to count, for her mind were to be on other topics of a better matter. The topics included how many cracks were in a wall, or, how bad of painting the being had done. They were all truly fun things to do in the time of boredom and despair. Ellis stood up, fixing any unkempt clothing and patting at her scalp, fulfilled with a greasy hairstyle; disgusting. She stared out of the ajar, metal door, into the hallway, where glass windows lined the walls, allowing her to view into the graying courtyard as a winter season descended upon the small town.

Ellis inhaled heavily once more, the doctor reassuringly patting her shoulder. She shrugged off his calloused hand, for she just found that odd. Like a toddler, she slowly raised her foot among the tiles, before planting it in front of her, and she was out of the suffocating room. Ellis could runβ€”she was faster than the elder beings who occupied the small area she were to be sent to every week, and it would at least take them a few minutes to rush down three flights of stairs, arriving to the basement, and finally dial in a code to manually lock any doors. Instead of running, she stepped right, heading according to a plan, not out of dismay or a belief that it was the wrong time to run, but because she was obedient, and had now idea how to survive outside if she even did manage an escape. For she knew of the tales, as it was hell out there.

Isis Redbird

Isis was sitting in the corner of her room, from the small window on the other side of the room she could tell it was dark outside. Isis didn't remember how she got there but the ever-present chill in her room caused a shiver to crawl up her spine. Isis tried to get up from the cold tile floor she was sitting on but she realized with a start that she couldn't move. She opened up her mouth to yell for help but nothing came out. She had started panicking but the time the door slowly creaked open and a scientist stepped into the room. She opened up her mouth to ask what was going on but what came out instead was," I thought I told you guys to leave me alone." Isis was dumbstruck, that's not what she said! The scientist looked nervously down at the papers in his hand before saying," Yes, you made yourself very clear, but we have one last test to-" "What? You said that you guys where down experimenting on me!" Isis felt herself stand up as she said this and she saw a look of fear pass over the scientist's face. "Y-yes, I know we said that but this test is very important it-" Isis heard herself scream in frustration then in a flash she was throwing the man across the room, when she heard the sound of his body connecting with the brick wall she sneered with cruelness. Isis on the other hand was horrified, what was she doing? She turned and studied the door next, ripping it off it's hinges she ran out into the hallway, a female scientist happened to be walking down the hallway and Isis snickered before grabbing the woman and throwing her out one of the windows that lined the hallway. Isis continued her run down the hallway throwing anyone who got in her way. In her head Isis was screaming but her body just kept running tell she reached a dead end. Isis finally realized what she was doing and she screamed at herself to stop but she her body continued running before jumping out the window at the end of the hallway and into the night.

Isis woke up with her heart hammering in her chest as she gasped for air. Her heartbeat was so loud she was sure people could hear it from miles away. She tasted salt and realized for the first time that she was crying, with a sigh Isis reached up and wiped the tears away. She'd had the dream again. She'd been having it for awhile now and her throat was sore from screaming in her sleep. Isis was so terrified at the prospect of becoming the monster that they wanted her to be that she'd even started having nightmares. The dream wasn't that long but it felt like hours to Isis and she hated the thought of the demon in her taking over her body. She didn't want to have to sit there inside herself as she slaughtered hundreds of innocent people, the thought alone was just repulsive. She was glad that it was her and not some poor little girl though, she could go through the suffering as long as they didn't hurt anyone else. Isis sighed once again and played with the stiff scratchy blanket on her cot, lets hope the scientists give me a day off today.

Aurora- Guide him he says. If only it were that easy. So many emotions went through her. She felt a longing to be whole, a loneliness that seemed to be endless, but above all strength to keep going on. It was hard to tell whether they were her feelings or his. One thing was for certain, this would end bad if he didn't open up fully to her or accept her. "Close your eyes Julius." The way she said his name was like a loving whisper, caressing all that he was. "Forget what is going on around you. Focus on me. Focus on your heart. You must accept me. You must accept who I am, my pain, my spirit."

Aurora felt his body tense and then suddenly an image of her as a child tried to force itself out. Why does he have to see it all? Why?!

Aurora was small and fragile. She wore a black flowing dress. What captured everyone were her eyes. Her eyes that showed she was different. Some people accepted her but some didn't. Most didn't.
"Why? Why do you have to be mine? I never asked for you to come to me!" A man said angrily. His eyes looked almost inhuman. He slapped Aurora across the face so hard she fell to the floor.
The look of surprise on her face only made the man angrier. "But papa.."
"Dont 'but papa' me." This time he kicked her, and kicked her and kicked her. Aurora coughed up blood as tears went down her cheeks."
"You are weak." Her father looked at her in disgust and started to walk away.
Her eyes burned in hatred. Why did she have to be so different? Aurora slowly tried to get up. Her eyes glowed with anger. Fire started to surround her.
Her father stopped staring at her in fear.
"I am not weak!" With those words the fire went towards her father and he started to burn. As he burned Aurora blacked out. The last word she thought of was 'why'?

The fire around them started to get bigger as her emotions went wild. Control I must have control.

Luna- Now that she was rid of Wade she was finally able to keep going towards the cell with the other subjects. Finally she had reached where the cell but saw that Ellis was not there. "Where is Ellis?" She asked a scientist who was sitting by Ellis cell writing on a clip board.
"Oh Ms. Hunter. Ellis was sent to do some test. She left about a minute ago. You might be able to catch her in the hallway."
"Thank you Derek." Luna started to walk trying to see if she could fine Ellis. Finally she had spotted her looking out the windows. The subjects were always interesting to observe but sometimes she wondered what was really on their minds. Slowly she walked up to her. "You look like you may need a shower." She tilted her head to the side observing her. Ellis looked a bit out of it. She needed a good shower and felt a bit upset about it. Her subjects must be kept at their best.

"Close your eyes Julius." Aurora seemed to have, in his eyes, decided to actually guide him. It was pretty terrible guidance in his opinion, but he followed her command nonetheless. After all, what did he know?

"Forget what is going on around you. Focus on me. Focus on your heart. You must accept me. You must accept who I am, my pain, my spirit." She asked for something that seemed impossible. Julius didn't want to accept pain or the girl for that matter. He was, although he wouldn't admit it, slightly a coward. He didn't want anyone else's pain in him, but he didn't have much of a choice.

"For fu-" He was about to curse and stopped himself from doing so. He would only be wasting time. Instead, he tensed his body and really didn't do anything. People in books always ended up 'accepting' something into them, but no one ever bothered to explain what it was they did.

That's when, strangely enough, Julius began seeing. He closed his eyes tighter but found that it didn't make a difference and suddenly had his senses barraged, without his consent. He forgot about his previous fear and instead focused on the scene that was playing out in what he assumed to be his mind. Or it might have been the mind of the creature inside of him, he didn't know how the whole body-inhabitation thing worked.

The scene that played out before him seemed pitiable in his eyes. He watched with indifference as the man he assumed to be the small child's father slapped the child. He felt a pain, but it wasn't his. He assumed it was either a pain from the memory or the pain of the memories' owner.

Julius flinched when the young girl was kicked but didn't even try to help. He wasn't going to stick his head out, not for someone he didn't know. He had the urge, most likely a side effect of the experiment as he'd tell himself, to help; but fought against it. Julius assumed that he couldn't interfere with the past, even if he wanted to, which he convinced himself he didn't.

That's when he saw the child, Aurora, retaliate. It was expected. The young girl produced flames, flames made from anger. He stepped back, instinctively fearing the flames. It took him a second to steel himself and convince himself that the flames wouldn't hurt him.

"I am not weak!" The child's statement didn't resonate with Julius. It most likely however, struck the father with a fury not unlike Hades. Julius watched with a distant stare as the man burned. He was pulled out of the memory, no longer fearing the fire.

He had seen weakness. He had seen a way to manipulate and grinned devilishly. "I don't like being lied to," Julius began with an air of confidence. He had, in his opinion, won. What he had won however, seemed unclear to him. "You said you weren't weak, but look at you." Julius' voice was monotonous and cold, but that was what he intended. He needed to stop the spread of the fire he no longer feared. "Do you honestly expect me to believe that?" He may have been overstepping his boundaries, but he needed the girl to focus.

"If it'll help me survive, I accept you." Julius felt in control, as much as one who had recently been surrounded by flames could. "Please don't make me repeat myself, go ahead and do whatever you need to." Julius felt exhausted, but he didn't let it show. He felt emotions he didn't want, but didn't let them show. He felt like falling face first on the floor and letting his exhaustion disappear. This whole ordeal really was a bother. He didn't know how others managed feeling so many emotions and felt a second of pity for them.

Aurora-He said she lied to him but she didn't. She was weak but that was then this is now. Any child could be weak. My father payed the price for everything hes done but so did I.
Aurora didn't see the point in all this any more. It was just a duty, yet everything he said just hurt. Her heart felt heavy and it wasn't even her own heart. Everything felt like it was weighing on her, dragging her down to oblivion. Focusing on the fire always seemed to help but this time it didn't. This time she felt more alone and damaged then ever.
"If it'll help me survive, I accept you."
Once more I will be a tool. Nothing has changed.
She didn't feel the need to speak anymore. Sometimes silence was better. Slowly she stepped out of him. As she stepped out, the surrounding fire entered Julius. Her chest began to burn. Not because of the fire but because of a mark starting to show on her left breast. It felt like being branded yet every mark was different. Looking down at her breast she ripped her shirt in order to view the mark. Her mark was of a black dragon wrapped in chains. It hurt but she didn't let that show. All her feelings were being tucked back inside, hidden from anyone's view. "Where is it that you sleep? You must need rest now." Looking at him was difficult when all the emotions tried to find a place within her, but she was concerned over his well being.
From behind her a scientist stepped out. "We must see how you may work together when merged." He was talking yet not even looking at them as he wrote down notes.
Annoyance twisted within her as she turned around. "Unfortunately you will not have your show," she said in disgust. "No more will come out of today." It must have been in the way she sounded because he looked up from his clip board. Before actually looking at her face he noticed her ripped shirt and looked at her breast.
"My face is up here. Now I suggest you leave."
Intimidated he mumbled an okay and nearly ran out.

I was going to wait for Kura to wait, but...
._.

Re: The Heart Given

Re: The Heart Given

Sorry, sorry! I've had pneumonia since last Saturday and have been feeling shitty since even before then DX I'll try to get a post up by Sunday night x_x

Re: The Heart Given

Should I post next...?

Re: The Heart Given

I accepted the characters.

Re: The Heart Given

So Kura Ravengade and TheShyGirl have to make their first posts. No real pressure, though...good RPs take time and consideration!
*strikes pose*
In other news, Wade is currently my focus character at the moment.

Re: The Heart Given

I can't post until you accept the other two characters.

Re: The Heart Given

Everyone post that hasnt then we will all proceed. Im sure that would be fine and fair.

Re: The Heart Given

I'll be getting a post up sometime tomorrow.

Re: The Heart Given

I usually wait for everyone to get their first post in...I always wait for others to make two more posts before I post again.

Re: The Heart Given

I'm attempting to wait till at least 1-3 posts are made after my post before I post again, so that should act as a buffer. If it passes 9pm(central us), nobody excep those my char is interacting with have posted, and the people I've interacted with have posted, I'll post again as to not hold back others.

Re: The Heart Given

Maybe we should wait for the rest to post before posting anymore...
._.

Re: The Heart Given

That is okay :)

Re: The Heart Given

Posted for Wade Waters...he got coffee for some people!
:D
But, also, he's prolly gonna ask about some missing Psyche Evaluation documents done for the staff o scientists, and whether the scientists are putting the sanitation crew and sanitation procedures to good use.
D:

Re: The Heart Given

What ever works is fine. If it doesn't turn out as we expect then we can faze certain characters to side characters. Post what you feel you can and if you dont know what to post than wait till a next post is up and see what happens.

Re: The Heart Given

3 is fine. I'm juggling 3, and maybe 4, in another RP, so it should be fine. I'll get it up tomorrow night, or Thursday.

Re: The Heart Given

If you want to, if you can manage. Too many characters can be encumbering.

Re: The Heart Given

I can take a 2nd Master if you really need me to, in addition to the demon-blood and first master I'm creating ...

Re: The Heart Given

Scientist added. More side-character than anything.
Also, trying to figure out what to post...
-.- <( . . . )
