The streets were calm not many people moving about in the early morning roadways. An occasional car would pass, sending small splashes up to the curb. All was normal in Wing City, at least as normal as usual.

A mail box sat, quietly on the corner ahead of the Fox, and didn't move. That was expect though, right? Mailboxes weren't supposed to move. This one began, shaking at first. The nails keeping it to the sidewalk slowly unscrewing themselves. Something was happening which this post box was not constructed for.

Quiet screaming could be heard before the front of the mailbox smashed open, and a man came through screaming at the top of his lungs. He wore a leather pilot hat, and a jacket. After he emerged, he sat in a puddle, his scream fading to a distressed gurgle.

In all of this mess, the mailbox had become momentarily self aware, and pondered to itself, [who am I? I appear to be a post box, full of.. what are these? I will call them post. As they are within me, a post box. Why do I feel strange? I am covered in something. It feels slick. I will call if Swhay. I am covered in Shway. What is Shway? I am unsu-] at this point, the post box returned to it's inanimate state, never quite coming to understand what Shway was or it's origins.

Liam lied quietly, mumbling a few inarticulate words. "I've got to gack, nah....juss." He rolled onto his side, and then to his stomach. He held his face out of the water, and opened his eyes.

"Lieutenant-Commander Liam Terry reporting for duty." He spluttered, rolling out of the puddle and onto the sidewalk. He was sore all over, and his head was still reeling. Last thing he remembered, he had been hit by a sea to air missile and was speeding towards the Atlantic Ocean, and now... where was he?

He mumbled some more, and then groaned, trying to sit up. It was all a blur. He seemed to remember lots of banging, like water on metal, and the sound of screaming. A lot of screaming. Whatever he had done, hopefully it was over.

Liam opened his eyes, and looked up at her. What the hell was that? Was it a girl? Or some kind of.... animal? He looked her over for a second, and then stood up and backed up against the wall. He felt the wall. It felt like concrete, it felt real. He ran his hand up to his face, and felt to make sure it was there. Face? Check.

"What are you? Wh-Wh-Where am I?" He asked, looking up at the buildings and at her. He didn't understand, he was confused and scared. He must be dreaming, this has to be a dream. He pinched his hand really hard, and yet, he remained.

Liam placed his hand on his chest. He could feel his heart pumping everywhere. He tried to back up, and just flattened against the wall. "I uh, I don't know. I-I-I need my inhaler." He breathed in and out quickly. He looked her in the eyes, and held out his other hand to stop her if she attacked him or something.

"Please, do-don't come any closer to me." He said, doing a pushing motion with his hand. It was fight or flight, and in the air he'd be all about fight. He wasn't a runner, but this.... This was just overwhelming. His eyes darted from her to the hover-cars that occasionally passed, and then back to her.

He gulped in air, and seemed to relax a little, reaching into his pocket he pulled out his inhaler. He had asthma as a child, and being so worked up brought it back. He was about to die, before he came through that.. did he come through a post box?

"I... I need to get back to Earth, to Port Jervis, New York. I-I have a wife." He said, leaning over, his hands on his knees. He was still reeling from almost dying just a moment ago. It was a surprise attack from someone, a water to air missile to his wing. He was spiraling, spiraling straight to his death. Everything went black when he hit the water, and then here he was. In this city, with his person.

She was right. Not much was happening in Wing City at the moment. No intergalactic battles, or demon hunters with their swords and magic. It was almost like a normal day. Almost. A little ways down the sidewalk was a post box. A short, blue post box.

It didn't move. That's what it was meant to do though, right? Not move. It would begin to move. It shook lightly, it's screw becoming unscrewed and falling out at random intervals. The shaking would become more rapid, causing the mailbox to move around on the side walk. The shaking wasn't all that was coming from the mailbox. A muffled scream which seemed to be getting louder was also being emitted.

The mailbox stopped moving for a moment, and then the front was smashed open by a young man dressed as a pilot. He had the brown jacket, the pants, and even the leather hat. He rolled out onto the sidewalk, and his scream slowly dwindled down to a distressed gurgle, and then to nothing.

There was a pulse, and it was slowly getting quicker. He mumbled something like, "Lieutenant-Commander Liam Terry report-" The rest was inarticulate garble. He groaned, and slid his hand to his back. Where was he?

Last thing he could remember he was flying over the Atlantic when.... something hit him. What had hit him? The plane didn't detect any lock on, so it couldn't have been a missile. It was all a blur, the sirens, the air rushing into the cracked open cockpit. The screaming. He should be dead. Was he dead? The concrete under him didn't feel like heaven, it felt like concrete.

His eyes opened, and he looked up at her, "Wh-who are you? Am I dead?" He asked, his pupils dilating slightly. He hadn't quite expected angels to look like that. Nor had he expected heaven to have concrete paving, unless... Did he end up in hell? At least it wasn't on fire.

His back hurt, but he guessed he could stand. He sat up, and stood, taking in everything around him.

"I uh... Wing City." The words seemed thick in his mouth. "Where exactly... is Wing City?" He asked, looking at the cars that occasionally passed, and up at the buildings.

Was he on Earth? Had he gone into the future? Was Port Jarvis still the little town it had been? Had his son been born and already grown old without his father? What about Sarah? His wife would be so grief stricken, though he had no doubt of her ability to get back into the dating, "Game" when she was ready.

"What.. year is it?" He asked, before she could answer his first question.

Liam entered the bar, and looked at all of the patrons. Each of them unique, and some didn't even look like they belonged in the future. This was the future, right? He'd woken up next to a smashed mailbox, and some girl had told him it was the year two-thousand and twelve.

Last he remembered he was flying over the Bermuda Triangle in the year two-thousand and five. Then he went down and now he was in the future, or maybe he's on another planet entirely. There were flying cars here, but also steam cars from back in the early 1900's. Was he even on Earth? Was Earth called Terra now? He took a seat at the bar, and looked around some more. He looked down at the menu and taped it a few times before he got the hang of things.

"Um.... Whiskey?" He said into the machine. It didn't react. He looked around, and then tapped the screen some more. He looked over at the screaming kid, "Geez." He sighed under his breath. Kids in the future were pretty messed up.

Liam tapped the menu several more times before turning his attention back to the child. He had been asked to help the child who was being dragged away by a little girl. "Aww." He said, smiling at the two.

He remembered when he was sweet on a girl. She must be dead now if this was the future. He was somewhat skeptical that just six years could produce flying cars. This must be an alternate reality, so maybe he can get back. The kid grabbed at his jacket, but Liam moved slightly so that the boy couldn't reach, "If you were older you'd be begging for women to like you that much." He chuckled.

Liam groaned, and the mailbox fell over. It exposed it's smashed open side. "Ugh, where am I?" He asked, sitting up slowly. His head was spinning, and all he could hear was a loud ring. His vision was also very tunneled, and he couldn't see.

He rolled out of the puddle, and onto his belly. He groaned again, "Lieutenant Liam Terry, reporting." He said, in a delirious mutter. The man was obviously out of it.

Liam opened his eyes, wider, his vision clearing up. "I was flying over Bermuda, and something hit my plane." He gasped, sitting up. He looked around, "What year is it? Is it still two-thousand and five?" He asked, looking up at her.

He was confused. Really confused

Liam's eyes snapped open as he woke up. He'd been crashing into the Bermuda Triangle, and then woke up in that place called Wing City. From there he'd wandered out into the forest, and had collapsed from exhaustion. Now that he had awakened, he was thirsty. Really thirsty.

As he began to push himself up off of the ground he heard someone speak, and quickly dropped back to his stomach. Who was out there, or even worse; what was out there?

Liam looked around worriedly, seeing legs under the bushes. That's when he felt something. A foot forming on his back. At least it felt like a foot, or maybe someone was pouring some kind of goo on him, and it just felt like a foot.

He crawled out of the way, and rolled over. Someone had climbed up into the tree that he was under without him noticing. He needed to find a way back to the year two-thousand and five. Maybe one of these people could get him back. He had to see his kid again, and his wife.

Liam covered his eyes, "Sorry, sorry, sorry!" He shouted, scrambling into the bushes. He stood and took several steps to try and run away, but his scarf caught on the bush and he fell back into it. He groaned, but kept his eyes closed.

"I'm sorry." He muttered again. He put his hands over his eyes, and seemed to relax into the bush. He reasoned, maybe he could just sink into the bush and hide until they were gone.
