Personality

Lorelai is sensitive when it comes to discussing death, but he understands that it is inevitable and that everybody will die at some point...unless they're immortal or something like that. He is a fairly kind person and despite being a Necromancer he chooses to follow the path of justice. He is rather thoughtful, calm, and knowledgeable for his age. He always seems to have something on his mind, and sometimes gets lost in thought.

Likes: His sister (protective of her), Melchior (friend and teacher), and people who don't call him names or wrongly accuse him of being evil.
Dislikes: People who care only about power, being called 'Emo' and other things because of his interests and skill in necromancy., and people who think all necromancers are evil.

History

Lorelai is a student at Ascalon Academy, a school of magic located in Ascalon City, the capital of the Grand Izlendrian Empire. He is studying in the field of Necromancy and has already mastered some basic necromantic spells. One day, while exploring a forest near their town, he and his sister were attacked by a mysterious necromancer who fought Lorelai and eventually overpowered him. Then, as the mysterious adversary was about to finish off Lorelai, Blair stepped in the way and took the fatal blow to save her brother, Lorelai. The attack killed Blair and also took her right eye. Some time after her death, Lorelai visited her grave and revived Blair with his magic, thus labeling her a zombie.

Werat'te managed to hold meaningful conversation that involved only herself, lost in her world. A babbling wall of text in her bizarre alien language.

Rebekka on the other hand took note of the other parties.
Not safe you say? Very well. For our sakes, please do lead the way. Lady Werat'te, let us go with them.

She turned to the other crystalline structures and spoke in a bizarre tongue, signalling them to keep an eye on Werat'te as they followed this strange group. Should anyone try anything funny, they'd react accordingly.

As suspected, the figures they spotted were indeed a blue-haired necromancer, wearing blue and grey, and a girl with pale, bluish skin and a tattered black dress. The blue-haired young man stood up, and seemed a bit surprised. "Matoya? What are you doing here? I thought you were still home in Ascalon City." he asked.

"Well I was, but then I got teleported here somehow. I know it wasn't anything I did, and it's not like Sayu was messing around with my potions or my spellbooks or anything. There was just this weird portal thing that showed up inexplicably and it dragged us in and we ended up here." Matoya replied.

"Hmm...I see. Hey, you're from this world, right? Is that kinda thing a common occurrence here? People popping up here by being dragged through random portals?" Lorelai asked Quote.

"Are you a zombie too? Or a vampire, perhaps?" Blair asked Quote, wondering why his skin looked so pale.

Quote looked over at Lorelei. "Ah well... no... sorry, I'm... not a Terra native..." he said, frowning a bit. "But... hey... it's Terra... anything can happen... so there's probably a chance of that..." the android explained, before looking over at Blair. Oh! This must be Lorelai's sister... well... time to explain what he was... "Uh... no... android, actually..." he explained. Huh... well... this was probably some surprising news to Matoya.

"Android? So, you're a robot then? ...And you have emotions?" Matoya asked, confused. While Izlendria didn't have robots, she had heard elsewhere that other worlds had them. Though, the thought of a robot having emotions was a difficult concept for even an intelligent young woman like her to comprehend.

"Well, this is an interesting crowd we make. A necromancer and his undead sister, a witch and her impish familiar, and a robot with feelings. Man, people might look at us weird if we stand around here too long." Lorelai said, somewhat jokingly. "Some citizens passing by already gave Blair and I weird looks." he sighed.

"Oh wait, I just remembered! Lorelai, we have to tell you something! And I think our robot friend here has some questions for you." Matoya said, remembering that she wanted to warn him that the man who ended Blair's human life might have gone through a portal connecting Izlendria to Terra as well, and that Quote wanted more information about the man they were concerned about.

"Oh... more than than just emotions... I was apparently designed to be as human as possible... but... I can't really remember who created me or why they made me like this.." he said, frowning a bit. As a result of his battle ten years ago, he was completely clueless about his creator or why they made him like this. Hell, the only reason he knew his name was because his fellow android, Curly Brace, remembered who he was.

Hearing Matoya speak, he looked up, quickly remembering his conversation from earlier. "O-oh right! Uh... Matoya told me about a dangerous necromancer that is apparently looking to hunt you down... I work for the police department and... well... I wanna help you guys out, so I'm going to try to get an alert on this guy... I just need a physical description of him to work with so we know who we're looking for..." the android explained, adjusting his cap a bit.

"A dangerous necromancer looking to hunt me down? You don't mean...Thanatos Hellion, do you?" Lorelai asked. "Yeah, sure, I'll tell you what I remember about him. I believe he had black hair, sort of wavy, and he wore a black robe with tons of belts and buckles." he replied. "I mean, I'm aware that Matoya has a few belts and buckles on her outfit, but Thanatos has way more."

"But, my belts are fashionable and practical, right? Why would Thanatos need so many belts on something as simple as just a black robe?" Matoya asked. Her question was directed to Lorelai.

"Yeah, you use belts correctly, Matoya. Thanatos...he just has them all over his robe and boots, they don't really serve any purpose for him. It's not like his robe is too big for him or anything like that." Lorelai laughed.

Quote listened to Lorelai, nodding as he pulled the notepad and pen back out of his satchel, writing down everything he heard from the necromancer. "Is... uh... is that all you can tell me about him, sir?" he asked, looking back up at Lorelai, brushing away a few strands of hair that were in his eyes. "Yeah, just about. Sorry. Still, I have a feeling you'd be able to recognize him if you saw him. He's kinda hard to miss. Oh wait, there is one other thing that might help to know. He wields a scythe somewhat similar to mine in one hand, and a spellbook in the other." Lorelai replied. "I believe part of the reason he wants me out of the picture is so he can get his hands on my world's Necronomicon, which I found not too long ago and left in the care of my instructor."

Matoya and Sayu both nodded. "That's why we thought you should know, in case he has found a way to this world like we suspect he has. I mean, it's one thing if he hasn't and he's still in Izlendria where the Sages and the Magi could deal with him, but if he is here in Terra then there could be quite a bit of trouble. Though, if he is still in Izlendria then your instructor might be in danger, Lorelai." Matoya said.

"So, either way it's not exactly a good situation. Still, Master Melchior is strong enough, he could probably hold off Thanatos. I imagine it would be difficult for even Thanatos Hellion to kill his former master." Lorelai said, frowning a bit. He didn't like the thought of a student killing his teacher, especially if that student was Thanatos. It also seemed to upset Lorelai a bit to have knowledge of Thanatos being Melchior's former pupil. He would be the student Melchior wished Thanatos had been, that was one of his goals anyway.

Reisel arrived in Verinotte Hollow with the guests. This wasn't Castle Vankoryth, but would accommodate better. There was a tavern here, a hotel, winery, even a square. Scenic and lively, for the residents were recently satiated with UV shots courtesy of Descorp and the Vankoryth Detente, East Lanterna Way was quite a place to arrive.

He parked his hovercar, and another two sidled up to park as well. Reisel climbed out of one, and waited for the others to assemble before he introduced the town.

"Welcome to Verinotte Hollow, brought to you by my family the Draculs, and the Vankoryth Detente."

A light dusting of cherry blossom petals carried across their feet. Reisel seemed unaffected by the beauty of it all.

"I've been here before. Well, not this particular street. But, Verinotte Hollow's not exactly a new sight to me." Lorelai shrugged.

Blair simply looked around with her one visible eye, as one side of her face was covered by her bangs. "Hmm...h-hey, brother? Could we rent some place and move here?" she asked, apparently enjoying the scenery here.

"Hey, what is this Vankoryth Detente anyways? It seems to be a pretty big deal on this world." Jude asked, curious as to what kind of organization the Detente was, and why Cuspid had left while they were in the woods, as she seemed to want to avoid contact with any representative of the Detente. He wasn't sure how much he trusted the Detente either, having only heard of it recently.

Blair followed Jubei into the library, and looked around. She kind of hoped her appearance wouldn't startle any of the regular customers, as not many people were used to seeing a zombie walking around freely. At least, not on this world. Then again, it's not like she was super hideous or anything, but that wouldn't stop the fact that some of the bookworms at the library might have jumped at the sight of her.

Meanwhile, a blue-haired young man walked up to the counter to ask the librarian a question. "Excuse me miss, but where would I find books about necromancy?" he asked, and then spotted the two who had just entered. "Huh? Blair! Where have you been?!" he said, surprised. "Hey wait, what's with the cat in the jacket? I thought I told you sis, I don't want any pets right now." he added, not yet knowing that the cat was able to speak.

"It's alright, Blair. At least you're safe." Lorelai said, embracing his undead sister. They may have been a strange pair of siblings, but it was still a rather heartwarming scene. "Thank you, Master Jubei. I appreciate your assistance in reuniting us." he nodded, looking over Blair's shoulder at the bipedal cat.

"Did you just call yourself an old cat?! But, you look so youthful, Mr. Jubei!" Blair said, releasing herself from her brother's embrace. This might have been a somewhat ironic compliment coming from a zombie, but on the flip side Blair actually was as young as she looked, and she was luckily not falling apart or anything like that.

"Huh? How'd you know I was the younger one?" Blair asked Jubei, tilting her head slightly. Was it her speech? Her mannerisms? Or was Jubei just really good at guessing people's ages in relation to each other, being approximately a century old himself?
