The sky was cloudy, the day was dark and the rains fell.

Soaked in the constant pour was a long figure, body half hidden by the darkness with red runic images running up their sides. They stood simply staring at the front door of the tower. That door be damned.

They spoke with a chilling voice, and only one word at that. "Magic." It was a threat and a demand all concluded into one utterance. The figure turned around to face Rahal, staring with literal flames in their eyes. In their left hand a dagger was clutched.

The second threat was more apparent, lightning momentarily jolting between their fingertips, causing their arm to twitch. "Yours." Thunder struck overhead as they took their first step forward.

Fire was met with a swipe of the hand, knife slashing upwards. As it did, the individual droplets of rain gathered together. A loose ball of water surged upwards to meet the flames, but the dark man had stopped in their tracks. For the moment their progress forward was halted.

The man took a step back. "Consume," came another one world answer in their stilted but ungodly voice. Slowly they walked back towards the tower, not the door, but to the side of it. The rain too seemed to soften with their retreat.

Fortunately for Rahal, the towers magics were locked firmly inside. The individual was only seeking to ascend it. The storm lessened ever further. Also fortunately, Ezrael could be found safely inside his warehouse trying to remain dry in the storm.

Red. There was a flicker of red on the top of the tower, a figure it seemed, shrouded in darkness with red curls across their stomach, like some ancient tattoo or marking. Sharp eyes would also discover the figure had red eyes and a dagger. They stood on top watching over the city, and staring, head slowly turning into a circle, until it ended up staring at Arcanon. Silent. Unmoving. Standing.

The man, or whatever they were, gripped the side of the tower, or seemed to, and began to descend down the side, a red streak sliding down the slick construction to the ground. And then they broke into a run through the streets for Arcanon's location. The rain seemed to intensify as the creature grew closer.

The figure continued on, great steps slapping in growing puddles of water. As they arrived at the base of the building Arcanon was perched on the rain seemed to reach its worse, sudden thunder booming overhead as the figure began to ascend the side of the structure with nothing but the grip of their hands, shooting upwards like a lizard would a wall.

The figures progress, over the side of the house, would be gone from vision as Arcanon took his steps back, and rather than reaching the roof top when they would be expected to, they did not. The rain still beat down hard on the house, as if just waiting for the figure to show themself, but visibility was low.

As he looked over the edge the water in the air would seem to surge towards it, as if the storm itself had tried to push Arcanon off. But as it were, just a few meters to the side was the figure climbing up over the edge, obviously an attempt to be evasive about their position.

The figure did not naswer, clambering up over the edge with knife still clutched in hand. As they made it over the precipe they stared a moment. "Consumption," was the answer they provided, one word, in a chilling voice. Or perhaps it was just the weather. Malignant intent radiated from this being.

"Again," he said, raising the knife, now a threatening gesture. Steadily they approached, knife turned to reverse grip as water seemed to ball around their right, unarmed arm.

The figure seemed hesitant, not ready for the sudden sense of fear of the staff. Their burning eyes looked down to it uncertainly and they took a step backwards towards the edge. Perhaps this was a bad time for them...

The figure looked between the tendrils and the edge. Which would it prefer... Deciding jumping was safer, they simply fell backwards off the side of the roof.

The figure landed on the ground smoothly, raising the dagger for a moment to do a 'slice of the neck' gesture, before they fled. As they moved away the storm lessened.

It was raining, but Ezrael had become quite insistant on the elementals. After all, a meeting with that dark man, the one who brought the rain, had come to a conclusion of ceasing all eviscar creation. As such, he didn't care if it was raining. He wanted elementals now. The youth was becoming quite impertinent.

The steady drizzle in the forest had seemed to chase off all forms of life to warm places or underground for safety. The forest was relatively silent other than the sound of rain.

Distantly a howl could be heard, a group of wolves it seemed, as the rain came down heavier still. While the rain did fall no wind blew nor lightning cracked. But the trees did seem to move, not so much from the storm, but from Arcanon himself, and his magic, as if they were trying to escape and resist it.

Those particularly in tune with the forest would hear it screaming.

The trees were helpless on their own, mere objects of wood. However, help was coming. Slowly, weaving through the trees, was the dark man with the red sigils of his flesh and burning look in his eyes, and he was not alone. With him no less than a dozen grey shapes dashed back and forth, an occasional bark being heard. He came with wolves.

The figure grew closer, wolves splitting off into groups to either side. Their voice reverberated with the will of the forest, trembling the nearby area as even the trees seemed to cry out with them, "Leave." They skidded to a halt, kicking up mud and holding their dagger ready to strike.
