Within the Milky Way Galaxy on the planet Velith, orbiting a yellow giant located with in the Phsignis Cross Nebula, deep beneath the crust of the planet there was something buried there long ago. Something almost forgotten. However there were bits and pieces of it mentioned in rather old holodisks and/or computer terminals. Something built by a rather old semi-human race. Well... atleast, the only outer difference was that they had enlongated ears and prehenisle tails. But, that was another story.

Deep beneath the ground this... Gigantic metal beast slept. Waiting for the next people to come along and claim it. WHat's more, there was something of equal value and importance located within the metal beast itself. Something smaller. Something more humansized hooked up to the main core. Maybe it was keeping it alive? With the various plugs, wires, and soforth going in and out of the things body? Or was this... person... tyring to keep the ship operational? Who knew... Be that as it may, both of these... creatures slept. The only evidence of this Leviathan ever existing were traces of information scattered throughout the galaxy.

As the ground began to shake it seemed that the ship's sensors detected some sort of energy discharge coming from the surface. With that, a massive energy spike would have been detected by the team's equipment as the War Monger had begun to awaken once more. "War Monger Online. Computer, Codename :: Victory, Online." various systems thoughout the ship would have vocalized as the droid within the core would have finally awakened from it's 'Sleepmode'. "Activating shields." The same electronic voice spoke throughout the ship, and yet another energy surge would have been detected as the shields kicked on, thus protecting the ship from the mining lasers if they got too close. As the last of the dust was finally... er... atomized off of the dig site, it seemed that the lights in the ship slowly started to come on one by one. "organic Presence detected, Activating life support." the computer continued to activate the necessary systems in order for organics to survive. By the time the thing had been unsurfaced many of the miners would mostlikely be in awe from the sheer size of the thing. Five kilometers long... nearly one kilometer high. It was as though the massive vessell was built by a god.

Well it seemed that the ship was being lifted up back into it's rightful place among the stars? That was certainly nice of them but... The ship could still fly... When the droid who seemed to be the 'brain' of the ship, Victory, seemed to cut loose from the core and dropped to the floor. Rather patiently the android stood and proceeded to a small wardrobe which had been set up near the core and put on some sort of uniform. Rather quickly it proceeded to a terminal and attempted to search for the proper signals and hack into the ship's operational systems which were bringing it out... Er... well.. Not on purpose, this was merely an attempt at making contact... It also flooded their ship's terminals with diagnostic reports of the War Monger. Systems checks, all of the operational programs and weapons and so forth. IT was after 'Victory' flooded their systems that it finally sent a hailing signal to the other ships.

"I've got a fix." The Tactical officer reported, and a large icon flickered to life on the holographic display in front of Admiral Hanley.

She affixed her gaze to the soft cyan hues of the representation of space, with the occasional lighter icon depicting space debris. She watched the flickering yellow outline of the Obsidian Eagle.

"Hail them." Admiral Hanley instructed.

"Obsidian Eagle, this is the Esteem broadcasting on a priority one channel, please respond."

The message would repeat until they responded, as the hulking form of the Reverence II rounded an errant asteroid.

AC 52020: A NEW ERA BEGINS

The year is AC 52020, after the first colony fell. Pervasive mobile-suit warfare left Terra in ruin, again, but Sol Enterprises returned to the news as it released a premier line of nu-type mobile suits, bringing about a hum of peace for the decade.

Quieting unrest in the wilds, a new group of adventurers arose from the ashes.

While the greatest of horrors lurk just beyond the horizon, the Multiverse faces a new threat. Rumours of ancient origin spread like wildfire, scattering the arcane legends throughout the well-connected cluster of leystones lit up like sprites on the fiery wind.

Hanley Grimaced, as the full projection of the Obsidian Eagle flickered in front of her, the dull hum of the Reverence's CIC's systems filled her ear, offering a distracting ambiance from the gravity of the situation.

She turned towards EVE, and began to nod. "Transmit all relevant data on the Asylian attacks on the Empire, and their known intention." The Admiral instructed, and EVE quickly complied, before she opened the comms channel.

"We need your help, an entity that calls themselves the Kingdom of Asylia have declared war, they have invaded the Imperial core systems, and have been carrying out hit and run attacks. They are adept in the use of magics, and psionics, and they are technologically advanced than us." These were strange words coming from an Aschen officer, whom usually regarded their training and equipment as the best.

"They hit Molecay, and the colony world of Cryo, and we've suffered heavy losses from their attacks." The Admiral explained.

From out of the uncharted darkness of Space, a large rock-like object appears, arriving from out of the depths of Gehenna, from among the Hall of Riots, and heading slowly along a straight trajectory, heading for one of the nearby galaxies. It had taken over 100 years for the black lump to travel this far, having ventured over many millions of light-miles in that small amount of time. The rock seemed to rotate slowly along a slightly curved axis, having no distinguishing markings or features. The chunk of rock had an uneven egg-like bumpy shape and a black glassy reflective surface almost like obsidian. The object moved through Space at a steady pace, never speeding up or slowing down. The rocky object gave off no radio signals, no life signals or heat signatures as it drifted timelessly for several years without ever colliding with anything or switching direction, just coasting casually through outer space, heading closer to the cluster of galaxies.
