Purgatory was alive with activity. Exotic Soruk dancers gyrated against suspended cages, swung over the heads of patrons, and served glowing neon drinks. Thousands of lights moved to the beat of the
music. A stage wrapped around the mermaid tank and extended outward between two rows of VIP tables.
At the end of the stage was a Taijhan dancer lifting herself upside down by the sheer strength of her arms alone until her six inch heels were higher than her head. Xia hooked a knee around the lighted pole and she spun a downward spiral with her hands free. The Taijhan curled inwards and grasped the pole with her hands and she swung out her lower body with legs split.
Xia had always been a star dancer for Club Purgatory. Most nights the woman walked away with the most tips earned and most private dances bought. She always came out on top. Her skill for exotic dancing had yet to be matched by any other woman employed by Purgatory.
The neon teal scales painted around her eyes and glued to her skin glowed from the black light Xia danced beneath. She rolled on the stage and prostrated her body in delectable positions. As the music ended, Xia collected her tips from the stage and walked off.
