Diana

The Goddess of the Soul, Prophecy, and Learning

0 · 348 views · located in Creation

a character in “The Pantheon: Post Cataclysm”, as played by LoonyPixels

Description

God Name: Diana

Creed: "The soul keeps many things hidden, but I can see, I will learn what you hide. I can see all."

Title: The Seer.

Gender: Female

Alignment: Neutral with an affinity towards Good.

Portfolios Governed: The Soul, Prophecy, Stars, and Learning. (I thought the Stars and Learning were pretty specific, thus being half portfolios, so I'd like to see if you think so to, if not I can take one out. Stars would just give her domain over creation of the constellations for dead Gods and possibly a way of Divination for her creations. Learning would just be the desire to learn more about the world.)

With her Portfolio over the Soul, she can see things about other mortals and immortals, such as their alignment, portfolios, and things such as that. She can creating empathetic connections with other mortals and immortals, with which she can feel what they're feeling, and work to remedy the problem, or change their point of view. Though it can be potentially dangerous if they're souls are drastically different, she can create a soul connection with another person in order to try and reason with them, it may potentially damage or kill her, but she can stop them from making immoral decisions (this is not forced and will only work if the other person is willing to change.)

With her Portfolio over Prophecy, she can see deep into the future, though oftentimes the visions are hard to comprehend, and are spoken in symbolism, metaphors, and things of the sort. Sometimes, however, her prophecy may be as clear as day, and not be shrouded in connotations. However, though it's just a theory of hers, if she knows the future, she can be able to change the future by altering her actions, and the actions of others in the present.

With her Portfolio over the Stars, she has domain over creation of the constellations for dead Gods and she can rearrange the stars in certain mannerisms, so that there can be a method of Divination for her creations. But perhaps there is much more behind her Portfolio of the Stars that she does not yet know. With her Portfolio of Learning, she has an immense desire to learn things about the world around her, pass that will onto others. She can also learn new skills and such faster than other Gods.

God Appearance:
Image

Diana isn't a Goddess of divine beauty, nor is she an epitome of horror; unlike many other Goddesses her looks are very modest. She stands at about 5'5" and weighs around 120 pounds. The reasoning behind her dainty, fragile appearance could be because of her deceased prophetic predecessor, Kazus, who ruled over the winds, thus making her somewhat of a featherweight.

Diana regularly wears dark robes to cover her body, as she's quite modest and likes to keep her body to herself. She wears a simple black shirt and black shorts underneath her robes. She wears many black and silver bracelets that aren't too stunning, but hold charms and such that she believes help her see the future, other than that she wears no other jewelry. Diana usually walks barefoot, or with long black boots.

The Goddess of Prophecy has pure milky white eyes, left hidden by her robes, she believes the reason they are white is because she's too busy seeing the world in the future, than seeing the world's present in front of her. Around her eyes is what seems to be black eyeliner, but is entirely natural, as are her black lips. She has long silky black hair that flows down to slightly below her chest. As for her skin, she has naturally pale grey skin.

Personality:

Diana is regularly silent and reserved, usually only speaking up when she has something she wishes to discuss. She has a questioning spirit, always looking for the answer to unresolved questions and wishing to learn more about the world around her, even though she isn't seeing much of it's present. She isn't the one to take an answer of 'just because' or anything similar. Diana is stuck in her mind a lot, thinking to herself and contemplating many things.

Diana has two sides to her when it comes to knowledge she receives from prophecies.

One side of her is passive, she wishes to keep information and knowledge she learns to herself and not use it to undermine others or stir up conflict, as her predecessor Kazus did. She believes that it's hopeless to try and change what she sees in her visions, or she just feels apathetic to try and change it. Usually when she's on this side of thinking, she's very depressed and melancholy, and is much more reserved, even more than usual. She pushes people away and loses passion to learn and to see things.

The other side of her is a much more passionate, determined side. When this side of her is out she can't help herself from telling others what she sees, especially if it's something foreboding and dangerous, because she knows that, like it or not, her predecessor Kazus is dead, and he died because he didn't share his prophecies with others. When she gets to this side she wishes to alter the bad futures she sees by starting in the present, and taking any measures to see to it that bad things don't happen. However, in this side things can get risky because she usually believes the ends justify the means, stopping at nothing to try and change the future. She also likes to do some form of fortunes to others in order to give them insight in her future, and she's less reserved then usual, but still silent.

Diana is still a young Goddess, so she still has much to learn about herself, and her past, present, and future.

Opinion of Mortals: Diana doesn't have a negative nor a positive view on mortals. She wishes to create some and watch as they grow, just as she does, and see how their journeys and actions differ. She isn't one to dabble into mortal affairs, thinking it to be unjust to their free will, as she believes their souls should be free, not determined by their godly creators.

Opinion of Immortals: Diana's opinion on the other Gods is very similar to her opinions on mortals, though she has a much less passive role with them. She doesn't group them all together and sees them each as individuals, the more she learns about them and the more they learn about her, the greater friends they can become. Diana has a quite lonely soul, and wishes to fill the void with friends, despite her menacing appearance.

God's Domain: Those who seek to learn, those who have free will, those with pure and impure souls, and those who look to the stars.

God's Territory: Unknown as of yet.

Symbol(s): A shining star, an eye.

History:

Awaken

Her stunning lilac eyes opened to the gloriously beating sun of the Middle Realm. Her heart went aflutter with the numerous smells, sights, and sounds. She noticed a thick fog of clouds surrounding her, and for some reason she felt sad...Why am I sorrowful to see such a beautiful sight? A single name came to her mind, Kazus. She was unsure of who this man was, and what he was supposed to mean to her, but she wished to find out, she wished to learn the answer to her perplexing question.

But perhaps there was a far greater question to be asked...who was she? How was she to find out who Kazus was if she didn't know who she was? She sat down and crossed her legs, the cool breeze gentle on her bare skin. She wasn't one with this land...was she? Her head turned to the sky, soft flowing clouds painted the baby blue canvas, the nature of this land was beautiful, that was for sure. She stared intently at the clouds, how the flew softly along with the breeze, up there, that's where she belonged? Was it not?

...No...

That was where Kazus belonged...he...he was a God...and she...she was a Goddess...But she didn't belong where he did, no, she belonged somewhere much farther, much greater. Thus her attention turned further than the clouds, back to the glorious sun her eyes first set upon. Yes, up there, where the sun was, that was where she belonged. She was learning about herself already! A smile was painted on her face as she continued observing the sun, it gave her energy, it gave her life, not as it did to the nature and animals around her, but through a holy way, a divine way. It was what caused her to be born, what caused the divine seed she once was to grow into the woman she was now. "I am Diana."

She kept staring into the sun, laughing. The world was beautiful. But before she knew it...it was gone.

There was but only darkness surrounding her. "Where's the sun?!? Where am I!?!" She screamed, hoping someone would hear, but it simply echoed to no one. She saw a light in the distance. Glad she ran towards it, panicked, scared. Once she escaped the darkness she knew what she saw next was no better. The land she once loved was scourged in flames greater than that of the suns. But they did not reap life, only death...She looked for the sun, she looked for the only thing that could save her from this world, but she could only feel tears rolling from her eyes, for the sun, the sun had been wrapped in a serpents grip. Soon the serpent completely wrapping the entire sun, and there was no longer any light but from the flames around her. The serpent had won.

Soon the apocalyptic world she was in blinked away in an instant. She took deep breaths, her whole body was sweating. Her once lilac eyes were now scourged completely white, but not because she stared into the sun for too long no...for she stared into the future. She curled into a ball, wishing to hide her body and she cried for she was scared, she wished for someone to help her, someone to rescue her, but she was alone, and her soul began to wither.

She shook in the brisk winds of where she was born, the once calm breeze now turning against her. Her arms wrapped her unnourished body, shaken up by all of the events that just occurred...or shall occur. She couldn't understand why she saw that, why she was subjected to that torment, but soon, as she began to calm down, she remembered. Her name was Diana, she was the Goddess of Prophecy, the Soul, Learning, and the Stars; it was in her blood to see these visions of the future...but what was her duty? What was her purpose in this realm? That was something she needed to find out, something she needed to learn.

As another gust of wind blew past Diana felt blades of grass whipping at her legs, reminding her of her indecency. She was a Goddess, creating something to cover her body with modesty should be one of the easiest things she could do, yet she was still unsure of herself. She willed the remaining clouds around her to change form, and drape her body in cloth. Soon she deemed the clothes she made appropriate, though her ideas on modesty could be different from the other Gods...were there any other Gods? Was she the only one out here? No...there was Kazus before her, but were there still others?

Diana did not know what she was to do, all she could do was walk. Observe. Learn. She saw the expanses of what she assumed was her land, ferocious volcanoes, misty islands, tall mountains, and shadowed lands. They were all beautiful areas, but they were empty, deserted, all that was left were the remnants of past civilizations before her time. So, she moved on, and continued her trek Eastward. She saw people of nature, ones who lived in vast forests, she saw winged creatures, in a state of unrest, she saw many things but one intrigued her the most...for reasons she was unsure why...she was most intrigued by a grand mountain, high above the deserts and the other mountains of her land and the winged people's, she knew that there she was going to learn a great amount of knowledge. She had to go.

Once she made it to the monumental mountain she began to climb. She had to make it to the top, that's where she had to be, where she would start her journey in this new world. She attempted numerous styles of Godly travel that she had been practicing on her trek to the mountain. She tried manual climbing, among other things, but she had decided to choose to float, like the stars far away from the land she was on now. Perhaps that's why she was so attracted to the mountain, for it's zenith reached a point so high...that perhaps it could reach the stars...She would reach the stars one day, after she learned what she was meant to do, why she was born.

Once she made it to the top of the mountain she saw a grand monument. What could this structure be? Was this where she was meant to learn? She also saw two giant creatures, there souls what she assumed to be mortal. She addressed them with a nod, though they were spectacular creatures they were not who she was searching for, and she couldn't appreciate there beauty until she addressed the matters she had to. She decided the only way to find out what was in the structure would be to open the doors. So that is what she did, and what she saw was amazing, numerous other Gods crowded in the room, each with a soul different from the next, Gods of Justice, Beasts, Revenge, Hope...but the soul that drew her inside the structure, was the soul of a seemingly old God, a soul that exhibited Knowledge, Wisdom, and Magic, his soul showed her that he was Good, but wished to keep a position of Neutrality. That was the man she had to speak to...that was the man that would teach her.

Soon Diana realized she had interrupted something important as the souls were wavered, possibly agitated by her presence. They all looked so different from her, most radiated beauty and esteem, while her features were hidden by her robes, except for the bottom portion of her face. She cleared her throat, attempting to speak to her siblings for the first time, hoping they would be forgiving of her if she stepped out of line, "...I apologize if I am interrupting something of importance...but I wish to speak to the God of Wisdom..." she left a lot of information out of what she stated for that was how she was, the time for speaking would come when her and the God of Wisdom were alone, "So if it's not too much of a bother, I would greatly appreciate an audience with you in private wise one," she said, staring intently through her hood at the Elder God.

Mathias

Mathias listened to Adarani, speak as he turned his head towards her. As she mentioned her winged pups seem to have been in close contact with the suspects. Since they all seem to have this deep, psychic connection, Mathias was relatively sure that the pups would alert Adarani if they witnessed these murders. That and he doesn't know Adarani to be a liar, so her word is good. Even if it wasn't what would see have to gain by lying about it? The only reason she would is if she was the killer, but Mathias knows that to be totally ridiculous. While he trusts her word, it wouldn't hurt to be on guard around them.

As if one cue, one of the suspects arrives. It was Mérida as she strode in and bow before himself and others. Mathias nodded to acknowledge her presence. While he is certain Mérida isn't the type to be a killer he watched her for any strange going ons. So far Mérida is acting in the ordinary. Most likely she isn't the killer, especially her acceptance to find the true killer. If she was to be the culprit Mathias is sure the culprit wouldn't boldly enter this room, knowing full well he or she would be captured. Then something strange would happen next. Boom and boom. Much like the sounds of thunder, came roaring up the mountain side. Mathias knew not what it was, but whatever it was it seemed to get closer.

As Mathias listened in on their not so subtle arrivals, Mathias felt out to notice something similar. It wasn't godly energy, but it sure was familiar. Mathias then whispered to Adarani, "Be on guard something large is coming." Mathias spoke his voice betraying any hints of worry. As he calmly sat there and prepared for what may happen next. Then what came next he didn't expect. The roof itself was ripped off, and already Mathias couldn't believe the intrusiveness of such a guest willing to tear down the host's home just to gain an audience. But when he saw who it was, he then immediately remembered. "What!?" "Not you again!!" Mathias spoke rather surprised and a bit flustered seeing Talmas again. His last encounter with him was some thing he would rather forget. He then slowly looked towards Mérida again as he imagined her naked when they first met. Mathias then coughed a harsh cough, as he shook his head rather violently to dismiss the image of her in his head. "No, no not again, stop with this foolishness Mathias!" He yelled to himself in his thoughts. He sweat a little as he slowly looked towards Adarani, "No....I can't have her worry...she shouldn't know what happened it was embarrassing enough, but if she learned...she may yell at me!!!" Mathias whined within his thoughts. He then quickly tried to regain his composure as he looked up to the colossi.

This time Talmas was with a friend, another Colossi no less. It seems they have come on behalf of their creator once more. Mathias began to wonder, why the god doesn't bother to answer anything for himself. Is he really that busy or does he find the rest of his kin below him? Or maybe he is just extremely lazy. Anyway they are here to speak of the killer, but do they know their creator is a suspect? Would it be wise to tell them such? Mathias has no idea what kind of person their creator is, because so far they always appeared in his stead. That alone doesn't help decrease suspicion, still though if he is the killer would he recklessly allow his creations to come here? Would he?

Then came another being whose intrusiveness seems more brash than the Colossi. She irradiated godly energy and obviously came for Acanthus, but now isn't the best time to burst in here and demand to see another. Well, maybe it's not so much bursting in as Talmas already sought to that. Doesn't anyone appreciate a serious meeting? Oh well he's just being critical, because the situation is intense. Someone is killing them off and some people her don't seem to be as affected by this serious problem. Mathias was even a bit envious to be that aloof, sometimes he takes things to seriously and being able to lighten up would be nice once in a while. Still though this isn't one of those times. Mathias then stood up to address the newcomers.

"Yes, we are in the middle of a discussion of the greatest importance." "Acanthus has called us to discuss about finding a killer of gods, and bringing them to justice." "Yes children of Rodrauge, there is a murderer amongst us." "He or she has killed many and will kill again." "We are just about to send our best trackers and warriors to find the culprit and hopefully detain them." Mathias spoke. "If you know anything suspicion that pertains to this matter, I implore you to speak your piece." Mathias spoke addressing the newcomers. He hoped to gain as much information as possible, it is imperative for the upcoming case once the killer is found. Mathias then sat back down as he watched the new arrivals, looking for anything suspicious.

Laska

Proceedings were well on their way as Laska snapped out of a daze. She seemed to be losing hours and sometimes even days at random intervals. During such times she could hear whispers and it felt as though her eyes saw many different places at once. However, just like every other time, Laska forgot what she had seen and heard as she came back into consciousness.

Everyone seemed alert and scared as a book vanished from a book shelf. Laska watched confused as gods got up and demanded to find and bring the perpetrator to justice. Laska was about to ask what was happening, but then she noticed the speeches were about murders.

The peace within her snapped as the talk of justice spread throughout the chambers. All the while, Laska could feel her heartbeat booming within her chest. It was getting louder and louder every second as time seemed to slow down. Then she screamed as the roof was lifted from the Hall. Laska grew wings instantly and flew towards the other gods in an effort to be protected and held.

Sithis

The snake left quickly and began on its journey southward. As Sithis slithered, it encountered less and less snow. Soon it entered a grand forest, filled with swamps. The snake followed it’s flicking tongue towards the scent of reptilian mortals.

It was in a small clearing that Sithis found an older looking reptilian creature that was helping a younger one heal its charges. Sithis waited for them to finish before it called out telepathically to the younger mortal. Surely you are meant for greater things than this.

Chrysalis

Chrysalis felt a tingling sensation as Othuma placed his hand on hers. She pressed her body even closer to his as her black hooded clothes became a black shimmering dress. “You’ll find there are many ways to satisfy me Othuma.” The sword said with a wild and seductive grin. Then she looked up into his eyes as a wild impulse came over her. She took his hand and drew her crystal blade. “And you know how we can spread even more death?” She said as she sliced a shimmering hole through the air. “War.”

Acanthus

Acanthus nodded thoughtfully as the Lion and Nylia stepped forward to conduct the search. He was unsure of Nylia’s motivations, but the proud hunter looked as though he would search out the murderer with little to no trouble at all. Another goddess stepped forward and offered her help. Acanthus was pleased. “Of course we shall all offer whatever we can to bring this murderer to justice and I thank you all for your attention and help.” He turned to the two gods who had stepped forward first.

“You two are certainly well qualified for this mission, and I am extremely honored to have you with us in this time of need.“ Acanthus started to say more but was cut off by loud pounding noises. He looked up to see the roof being torn away from the grand hall. Acanthus shielded himself and those nearby from falling debris and looked at the two colossi with interest. “Sons of the Earth itself join us.”

Another goddess chose this time to enter as well and request a private audience with Acanthus. A lesser god, like the panicked child who bore no aura, might have been overwhelmed. Acanthus, however simply held his peace until all was more settled and quiet. He turned to the new goddess. “If you will wait but awhile, you might learn something. Then I will address your questions.” Then he turned to the colossi, “Yes, there have been murders and soon we shall find them. Thank you for responding to my message so quickly, though I wish your father could have been here.”

Acanthus addressed everyone in attendance, “Murders among gods are indeed a matter of great importance and in order to avert any more deaths and a potential crisis, I ask everyone to be on guard. We must all prepare for the worst and we must look to each other for safety and fellowship.” Acanthus bowed to the crowd. “I am happy to serve you in any way I can. For now, however, I must make arrangements for a new home for my mortals and a new base of operations for myself. A mountain, while easily defendable, is also extremely open to potential hostile invaders. “Acanthus waved his hand upwards towards the non-existent ceiling as proof. Acanthus created several rings, each one a simple silver band. “These are communication rings. Simply speak the name of the person you wish to speak with and you will be able to talk to them as clear as if you were standing at their sides. So long as they have a ring as well, of course.”

God of Cowards, Keys and Rats

The ragged tattered man heard the great ruptures that came from the earth, the only thing that caught the God’s fullest of attention among all this dangerous talk. His broken hands banged against the door he was behind over and over again in a sudden mad fit of panic, his toothless black gums spat out horrid moans behind the great door as he clawed it over and over.

THE EARTH! THE EARTH IS EATING ITSELF!

The cowardly mad god mistook so keenly at the arrival of the great creation of the stone god.

Soon! Soon! Soon there will be no more ground to stand upon once it has finished! And we will all be drowned by the great sea! Take anything you can! Build strong rafts! Prepare for the great drowning!

The old creature ranted again continuing banging against the great door and screamed on the top of his crusty lungs. The creature leaned against the door still his nostrils blaring at the stale smells around him as a rat crawled out of his nose and slithered downward back into the darkness of the tunnel behind him. He heard the others slowly arrive, he saw them through the smallest of cracks that made the very thick keyhole, his god like perception funneling through such a tight and small opening.

The peeping creature remained as he was in the dark and in the squander of filth as his mad rantings stopped again as the fits left him once more. The moans were left though but they were much fainter this time as he occasionally scratched at the great door some more like some mangy dog. Finally he hollered something else.

THE ONE!

He stammered through a faint sounding whine pass the great door.

She that whispers to the flies with colorful wings! She is innocent of all things! Innocent! I have witness! Witness! Seeing her since the world cradled her back life! Did not kill! So she is removed from all suspicious things!!

He hollered. As murderers go it was time to drop alibis.

City with No Name

In the ancient ruins the rabble like mob dragged the three Vitaiim and the three Templarim by heavy ropes and even meat hook jammed into their once beautiful wings. Whenever they attempted to fly upward the majority would wrench them back down, the renegade Scaririans continuing to encircle the mob above them like vultures screaming and squawking “SPIES! SPIES! SPIES!” all the way there. A great deal of people were amassed by one of the old fountains worked by the city’s waterworks collecting dirty murky water from damaged systems as it was the only water they could access.

Bromm, the supposed half giant leader of the mob halted the group to get a drink, the ropes were nailed downward by Tagum, a Deverall craftsman of their large band.
“I say we do it here! Slice their dicks and tits off of them so their gods won’t be able to tell what kind of thing it was!” One member of the mob plotted as the Valeish in the scars spoke as he gripped the rusted looking knife in his hand as the proposed tool of the deed.

“No!” Another Valeish objected suddenly slightly nervous under all the stress of what they were doing. “These birdmen are apart of Ardani! She is not a war like being! They are harbingers of peace!”

“And war!” one of the Renegades squawked above. Perching himself upon the ruins he pointed at the trapped former brethren bellow all the heavy ropes and thick nailing hooks. “The great mother has too many enemies! If these birdmen would return to their lands they would told her of this place and she would want to help! All she would succeed in doing is bringing all her wars and all her troubles to us! We do not want them! We should skin them alive!”

A small group of Klik’kik-t that had followed the mob snapped their claws together. “Tongues, Hands and Eyes!” They spoke in unison for a moment, the swarm like mentality “When their gods speak to them in the afterlife they will not be able to tell their tale of the city of no name!” There was a great flare of words exchanged each suggestion more grizzly than the last before the great man in his booming voice finally yelled over the crowd.

“Enough! We will take them to the council! They will decide the fate of these birdmen!” He barked at the majority cringed at the sheer power of the man. Tagum was forced to wrench each nail out as the six prisoners were dragged further about the city, a bloody and gruesome spectacle for the majority of starving, shambling dregs that now overcrowded the crumbling ruins of this lost city.

Adarani, through her link to Mariva (the winged puppy accompanying Merida) noticed Mathias' uneasiness at the sight of Merida. She did not look in Mathias' direction, yet the Elder Goddess of Love's expression made it obvious she was a little bit angry at what she assummed he was thinking. Then again, it would seem he was making an effort not to think about it, so she was not too angry. Still, with Merida right next to Mathias, Adarani pulled the Elder God of Justice closer to her as a way of making Merida aware that she would not appreciate any advances on Mathias the Goddess of Nature would make.

Mariva, the female winged puppy accompanying the Goddess of Nature, laughed nervously and whispered, "Uh, Aunt Merida... I think mom is a bit jealous. You see, she has had romantic feelings for Mathias for quite some time, so... that explains her behavior, right now."

Angelira, the female winged puppy that travels with Adarani, received the ring for her and placed it on the Elder Goddess of Love's finger due to the fact Adarani was not about to let Merida have a chance at something with the Elder God of Justice. Davidni, the male winged puppy accompanying Mathias, simply shrugged and said to Merida, "Don't worry about it, Miss Merida. Mom does not hold any ill will towards you."

The six Sacrirans barely had time to react before ropes were upon them. To make matters worse, members of their own kind were hollering at them with the accusation of them being spies. That was downright insulting, considering they should know better than to even consider something like that. the torture was barely enough to handle without blacking out. They were losing blood more rapidly than they would like. It was a great thing Adarani made each Sacriran with such high endurance, especially the Templarim, who could handle worse than what was going on.

All appeared to be lost until all of a sudden, a flash of light surrounded them and their assailants. The six Sacrirans did not even realize what was going on until that light faded to reveal part of the mob knocked unconscious, the others fleeing in a panicked frenzy to their hiding spots. Naturally, the half giant was still standing, yet it would seem he was struggling a little to move. There in front of the mob leader was another winged person, yet less humanoid than the Sacrirans. This individual did not look anything like any of the Sacriran races. The head was that of a bear, the wings were different shades of green, and there was heavy armor instead of the monk or nun uniforms the Sacrirans are accustomed to.

It was not until after a few moments of angry glares that this bizzarre and unfamiliar being spoke in a calm, yet solemn voice. "You were about to make a grave mistake, half-Giant. To harm a Sacriran under false accusations could have meant permenant infertility for you, as it did for fifty Beta Amares who deceived the entire Old Sacriran Order into thinking they were only going for Hanryyt Androscaf na Davutite for his crimes, just to leave the country vulnerable to attack. Such acts of war will never be tolerated by the immortal Intervim, whose deity we leave anonymous. So long as nations fight amongst themselves, as long as mortals call for armies to arm themselves for war, for the duration of time sensless murders are commenced in the name of one's country, we shall be there to put an end to it. Mark my words. No amount of excuses, threats, or other circumstances shall deter us from our task."

The bear-headed Intervim then left immediately, considering the mission to be complete. Using stealth magics while in the sky, he made it back to his barracks to report the results to a female deer-headed Intervim who was his commanding officer. She replied with, "Excellent work, Sergeant Yzaktre. Not only did it save some mortals' lives, but it will also help make the entire Middle Realm aware that the time when war will continue with impunity is over. Your next mission will take place among those Sacriran Republic and the Sacrian Federation. It is predicted the two nations will go to war, soon. When they do, you shall be part of a battalion meant to stand between both sides before even a drop of blood can be shed. You cannot be seen while doing so, unlike back at those ruins."

"Yes, Ma'am!"

Meanwhile, the three female Vitaiim were healing themselves and the three male Templarim with them, restoring everyone to their healthy states, though a few of the scars remained on each individual due to being unable to remove them. The Vitaiim woman who first introduced the group to La'moire prayed to the Goddess of Light shortly afterwards with: We're sorry, milady La'moire, but we were ambushed by the residents of the city while we were cleaning it up. Thankfully, a powerful being calling himself an Intervim saved our lives without killing anyone or causing any permenant damage. It is your call, milady: should we stay and continue tidying things up, or should we be on our way?

"If it is inevitable, shall we continue to fight or to accept? Perhaps, it is better to understand it then smile..."

The discussion between gods, the decision they had arrived to, the swirling emotions much like a hurricane filled the hall, they were all enough to make the epithet of Hope remained silent and satisfied with observation. Troubling? No, she was not exactly deeming the death of gods as such. Irritating? No, it was not that as well. Sad? Yes, she felt just so. Concern? There was that as well for herself and for those around her. Fear? Certainly, she did not want to die. Then again, she was also curious. Her fellow gods spoke that killing gods were taboo. It is due the consequences that can never be measured. But then again, the creations flooding the Middle Realm were not subjected to such a thought. Fueled by ambitions, pushed to the limits, anchored by necessity, they will not hesitate to end a life. Repercussions were established but need not care

Thinking about it, the life of the Middle Realm were all created in the liking of their perceived Deities. They were subjected to their free will and introduced beliefs. It is the same for them who are called Gods. They are subjected to their nature and to their desires. There was not really much of a difference as far as she could see. Death will also come to them. It was an inevitable matter. Yet, despite how logical she looked at it. Dying or being killed was truly a terrible and a sad matter. She would never wish that on anyone or be under its hold. Yes, it is why they should know who is this murderer they speak of. To understand. To know. To decide.

Looking down her hands, La'Moire entertained herself in that manner as her fingers entwined with each other. Her eyes of mauve held a lonely haze that she seemed to emit as well. There was then the sudden pang of pain riveting within her. She looked at the entrance as her eyes widened in surprise. Then, it was announced. Another god had disappeared into the grave of the glittering skies. She felt the suffering this god had endured and then the void of a lost connection never to be touched upon again. How disheartening. She lowered her head once more and let her thoughts wonder while half-listening to the conversations fluttering about her.

Then, there was the arrival of new gods or at least other she had yet to meet. Two of them were females from her conclusion and bear something undetermined in their hearts. This much she could tell. Then, the roof was torn from the hall as if it was mere paper. Perhaps, she would also try that once. It looked amazingly adorable. She could imagine Syberion or even Bartum doing such a thing. It brought a small smile on her lips. There arrived the children of another god. How intuitive to create such large creatures. She wondered if she was capable doing the same thing. But, she would not want to cause Bartum further discomfort.

Standing from her seat, the Goddess of Light approached her companion with such calm radiance. She opened the door and beamed at Bartum. "It will be fine." Her hand slowly reached for the embodiment of fear. "I will be here. I will not let them harm you. I promised remember?" Soon, her hand had reached its destination which was his head. "Shall we take our leave?" She inquired before looking to the other gods with a apologetic expression. "Whatever decision you have chosen, I will not refute or seek disagreement. Please just remained safe." Once that was stated, Acanthus as she remembered gave out a ring. The god stated it will help them be in contact. Taking hers and Bartum, she showed it to her companion. "It's pretty, isn't it?"

Wearing hers and giving the other one to Bartum with a gentle smile. "This means we can always talk to each other. You'll never be lonely again." It was then she heard a prayer. Oh yes, the envoys from the Love Goddess. Closing her eyes, she prompted them to leave the place to prevent further altercations. Knowing Bartum's anxiety, it would probably be the same of his people. There was no need for anyone to bear ill feelings and the consequences of being hurt. "I apologize and thank you for your assistance. Please take your leave, and until we meet again." Speaking of which, she could not see Adarani anymore or the rather stern-looking God of Justice. Well, it seemed this meeting is now adjourned or something like that. Looking over her shoulders to gaze at the other gods and goddesses, she had a sense of peace radiating from her form. A soothing sensation that calmed fears and such.

"When we are to meet again, I hope we can talk more lighthearted matters. Until then." She spoke her farewells and then pulled Bartum by the hand. "Let's get to work. We still have a city to create, right?" With that, La'Moire left the halls and fortunately with Bartum following her.

The massive Karlibor warrior looked down on the Valeish with an unreadable expression. There was a cool still that washed over the gathered warriors on the exterior of the camp as it appeared that Makilik was deciding the fate of the Foresters when the truth of the matter was considerably less grim. The large, silver eyed Karlibor was struggling to keep his snout from breaking out in a large, cub like grin but ultimately failed. Makilik let loose a cheerful chuckle before stepping forward and nodding in friendship.

"Then come Foresters, let us break words."

He said warmly as he turned and began leading the Valeish through the Karlibor camp. As they passed the exterior gates the Valeish were greeted with the scents, sounds and sights of Karlibor living. Warm exterior hearth fires where Karlibor sat around and exchanged stories and food. Impressive metal work on display by the skilled clawed hands of Karlibor craftsmen. Karlibor females shopping along long expansive open air markets where fresh fish, meats and perishables could be found that held such sweet and succulent scents the traveling warriors no doubt were reminded of how long it has been since they'd had a good meal. They passed by proud and fearsome warriors practicing by war tents in the arts of combat. Their titan like strength on full display as the bear men wrestled, clawed and swung at each other with massive battle axes and giant sized blades. The most memorable sight was no doubt the Karlibor cubs that began to run along side the new comers full of smiles, laughs and wonder.

Makilik laughed kindly at the sight of the young before turning to Damias.

"Forgive the cubs Captain Damias, they have never seen outsiders this close before. They are merely curious."

One small cub ran up to stare up at Priyah in awe.

"You're pretty..."

The child said sweetly. Makilik laughed and shooed the young one away as he cast a quick glance at the female Valeish.

"You have an admire it seems, she bear."

He said with a warm smile before returning to his position at the head of the group, leading the Valeish through the camp. They finally reached their destination, a large wooden sweat lodge where thick smoke could be seen rising out of the central hearth. Makilik led the Valeish through the Lodge's leather door flap and they were greeted with the warmth of the massive hearth located in the center of the room. The fire bathed the entire room in a warm orange glow and the few Karlibor in it seemed relaxed and calm as some ate and others talked. At the sight of the outsiders they all turned in concern but a harsh word from Makilik and they all scurried right out leaving the group to sit in peace.

The silver eyed Karlibor warrior led them all to the circle of log benches around the central hearth fire where they could all sit and talk. He motioned for them all to sit but paused one of his own men before they took their seat.

"Fetch Pauni, he should be here."

The warrior nodded respectfully to his commander before rushing off to do his bidding. After a quizzical look from the Valeish Makilik clarified the order.

"Pauni is our Chieftan. He is our wisest elder and leader. He no doubt will be one all new friends of the Karlibor should meet."

Makilik said casually as he reached ahead of him to grab the wine jugs and meat that was layed out from the previous diners.

"Will you take food?"

He asked Damias as he already offered the spiced meats and strong wine to his guests.

Rhaegar stared at the ring given to him curiously. A open line of communication to his goddly kin. He was not one for jewelry or adornments but this was a tool and a gift, not one he would refuse. Rhaegar accepted the gift with a grateful bow of his massive maned head before he attempted to fit the ring around his clawed hand. His eyebrow arched curiously as it felt unnatural to him to fit a ring to his fur. He chose instead to wear it around his neck affixed to a simple piece of string. He slipped the magical ring around his neck before a thunderous sound broke out through the hall. He snarled as his fur on his back stood up in response to the perceived threat. The very roof was torn asunder and two behemoths loomed over the hall of the gods. A savage growl tore from Rhaegar's throat as he prepared to leap forward and bring claw and fang to bear.

Fortunately for all involved his kin spoke first and it was learned that these titans were actually the children of yet another sibling Rhaegar had yet to meet. The Great Lion calmed yet his tail still flicked about behind him dangerously. His golden eyes flicked from brother to sister as the meeting continued and more words were spoken. There was even new arrivals, females with interesting and distinct appearances and demeanors. The Goddess of Light took her leave with the Coward in tow, freeing the other gods assembled from his ravings which was a kindness to Rhaegars ears.

The Great Lion yearned for the hunt to commence but knew the patience only a predator knew. He knew not to rush the moment before action. He would wait until the meeting was over and observe in silence unless addressed before he and his sister would embark on their hunt.

Jute
The many different forms of the seff-proclaimed goddess of all were scattered. Each one holding sway over only a portion of Jute's abilities. And while each one was a formidable opponent, they all knew at some level that one day they would rejoin and be more powerful than any other god or goddess. However, while they were still separated, a force was moving within one of them. This force of Imbalance was changing the powers that Jute had. Chaos was not an ability or a force to control but anathema to the gods. As created beings, these gods could not co-exist with chaos. It ripped at Jute, as each of her parts rejected Imbalance. For some, like Sithis and Laska, the Imbalance was jutted out with less than a thought. For the Crystal and Chrysalis, however it was a hard-fought battle. The Crystal, as the center of Jute's mind and personality had to focus extremely hard on removing the taint of the chaos. Chrysalis was the part that had absorbed the Imbalance and so it was her that the chaos affected the most.

As Jute purified and cleansed her other forms, Imbalance began to affect Chrysalis.

Chrysalis

"Oh, Othuma this is amazing!" Chrysalis said, observing the fortress that Othuma had made. She walked through the newly made streets with Othuma. "It's a little dark and it could use a woman's touch," She said, waving her arms and making emerald-colored flames appear within the torch sconces. "But it's amazing." She walked with him into the castle. As they entered the throne room, she looked around.

"Only one throne, Othuma dear?" She said, smirking a bit. "That one is fit for a king of gods. Of course..." She said, looking at the dark throne and she made an emerald one next to it, "What is a king without a queen?." She giggled and sat down onto the emerald throne she had just made.

It was then that she started to feel something boiling inside of her. She screamed as pain coursed through every inch of her body. Brilliant orange shafts of light poured out from her eyes and open mouth as scars coursed over the visible parts of her body running down her arms and legs and over her neck. The scars did not reach her face but seemed to thicken and split leaving orange glowing gashes running where the scars had been. Chrysalis' scream pierced the air as she felt her body ripping apart and her power began to wane.

Her portfolios were being changed by Imbalance within her. Conflict became Battle and the energy she had absorbed from Kazus coalesced into Foresight. Power was drained from her even more as she felt herself begin to be ripped apart completely. It was then that the Crystal was able to purge the chaos from Jute's forms all together. Chrysalis was left limp upon the emerald throne she was on. Her body scarred and steaming, her portfolios changed permanently, and her power drained.

The Crystal

While Nylia prepared to go, the Crystal was busy fighting off an infection of sorts. It quickly purged as much as it could but had a much harder time dealing with the source of the problem. As such it was unable to communicate with Nylia and as the infection raged on, it began to glow white hot on her chest. Once the Imbalance was purged from Jute's domains, the Chrystal apologized to Nylia.

Sithis

The Silurians had proven to be split in their ideals. Sithis was able to connect with the younger generation with promises of power and prestige. They only had to leave their own god and worship Sithis. For the younger Silurians who had had no real time to become true worshipers, it was all too easy to leave. They followed the Snake god and it gave them the ability to speak with the snakes of the world. These younger Silurians thanked their master and venerated Sithis by choosing to slither on their bellies. Over time this would prove to change these reptilian mortals. Eventually, this offshoot of the Silurian race would be better known as the Thobaan. This Silurian sub-race of Sithis worshipers would come to be known as the most silent and deadly assassins able to slither up walls and create their own potent venom.

While the gradual micro-evolution of the Thobaan was taking place, Sithis left them in search of more mortals. The snake god tunneled under ground, swam through lakes rivers and even the ocean, and rolled over boiling sands looking for a worthy set of mortals. It was thus that the Snake god came across a group of wandering Di-dorem, it's eye was caught by a group of snake-like mortals among them. It came closer to observe the group and ascertain their worthiness.

Laska and Acanthus

The young goddess watched as all of the others decided on what to do. She was glad that they weren't nearly as afraid as she was. When Acanthus created the rings, she walked up and took one as well. "Thank you Acanthus, sir." She said quietly before turning to leave.

Acanthus stopped her with a gentle hand on her shoulder. "I'm not sure we've met. Why don't you stay with me for awhile?"

Laska looked up into the old god's wise eyes and nodded. "Okay. I was really lonely out there anyways."

Then Acanthus approached the goddess who had entered before. "You wish to join me and learn from me? How did you hear about me? From where do you come?"

The Xen'drik

These metallic mortals created by Acanthus and Torsc spent much of their time teaching each other and studying the sciences and the mystical arts. The rest of their time was spent scrying, looking for potential recruits into their race. It was thus that they discovered two Valeish candidates. One was a lord, the other was a reclusive doctor. Two of the Xen'drik prepared themselves to travel to these two mortals. One, a former Korrigan by the name of Rnnyld, and the other a former Iffriti who had her name changed to Ysma upon becoming a Xendrik.

Each one took a single wand of teleportation along with some scrolls and books. They left swiftly with the name of the coordinates of their charges and a wave of their wands. When they appeared outside the domiciles of their charges they each walked up to their door and knocked.
