Introduction
It has been a month since the monsters have been taken from their homes and they are anxious and starting to lose their heads being cramped up. Some of them have been broken submitting to life as an exhibit while others are plotting to escape the facility and somehow return home where they can live in peace. Some of the scientist's children have heard their fear and sorrow of staying inside the cage so some have decided to help the creatures...
The Races
Humans
The main race which inhabits most of the Earth. They are the most intellectual making cities and machines out rocks and weather. They are average out of the groups having no true physical attributes that help them out. They like-wise have no true weakness that hurts them in a true one hit kill. They are clear survivors and adapters able to cling to life and build to survive and thrive which has caused them to travel away from the islands never to return and colonize the rest of the planet. They have grown somewhat spoiled as a species needing unimaginable luxuries compared to the others.
Vampires
These creatures are extremely stereotyped in the human world. They are viewed as vicious bloodsucker who like nothing more than to feed on the blood of humans. More of which in reality they feed more of which on bloody meat which much be freshly killed. They do have a taste for blood although the much rather prefer the meat than the blood. They are slightly taller than the average size of humans but much faster but their upper body strength lacks extremely. They do have the ability to grow a pair of bat wings out of their shoulder blades which allow them to fly short distances. They are significantly faster than humans and can easily be labled as the fastest of the monster group. Their weakness is the vegetable garlic, the smell of it pierces their sense and if ingested can shut down their nervous system and cause them to stop breathing.
Werewolves
Werewolves are able to change their forms from human form to large wolves the size of horses. They are a calm species unless threatened then they will turn into savages. They are loyal to their allies and can be tamed easily making them a very easy species to break emotionally. They have a diet very similar to the vampires and will often try to steal some scraps of food if needed. They like to be with other and hate to be alone and will try to get into a group if separated. Their weakness is silver. Their skin is extremely sensitive to it and if touched by it their skin will start to deteriorate causing them to bleed to death.
Elves
Possibly the most humanoid of the monsters the only thing that separates them and humans are the strange diet of bugs and leaves, the large pointed ears used for hearing their prey and finally their enhanced ability for feeling vibrations. They use these combined talents for hunting large prey such as deer and boar a meat favored by the Vampires and Werewolves. The Elves are a noble race ,slightly taller than the average human but still taller than the Vampires. The Elf is a very kind creature but also very craft and capable of talking someone into a trap. Their weakness is cold. If the get even slightly cold they will instantly freeze up and die.
Dwarfs
Dwarfs are a small proud race standing at a mere four to five feet they are the smallest of the races but extremely strong. They are sometimes referred to as the opposite vampire. Where most of them are short ,slow, and strong compared to the tall, fast, and weak vampires. Their diet is very strange consisting of mead and cooked rocks with the occasional pork brought to them by some of the more generous tribes. Their immune system makes them invulnerable to most diseases. Their weakness is a small knot on their bodies. Where it is varies with the dwarf, if it is struck the dwarf will drop down dead to the ground.
Orc
Orcs are the brutes of the monsters with amazing strength and power with little to no brain mass. They are largest out of the five towering over humans and standing a few feet over the elves. Their skin is a light green to match their swampy habitats. They have no true home being completely nomadic finding their meals by conquering and trading. They are large and very sturdy capable of taking out a whole tribe of Werewolves by themselves with little casualties. They wear more of which lion cloths and speak very little to other species and will speak in rough english when they do. Their weakness lies in their feet, if you can manage to break one of their toes they will become blinded with rage attacking anyone whose close to them which is often their own.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 9 authors
He hated it here with the constant test on him which he would have to be knocked out when it happened because of him almost killing one of the scientists. Alex looked around seeing the small hut he hated as he slept outside mostly even when he was free. He stood up and paced around as he tried to avoid the view of humans. He saw a small patch of rose and made sure the others weren't watching as he reached down and plucked it off the ground and took in it's scent. It reminded him of his mother whenever he saw roses. He slipped it into his jacket as he noticed the small child watching him the whole time. He knelt down and looked at the toddler in the eyes and smiled back his fangs clear of the red pig blood. The child laughed and ran away giggling. Alex chuckled a bit then continued on his walk which was more of which him walking in a circle around the room. He was slowly losing both his free will and sanity slowly being broken by the cages and constant needles. He had to much pent up energy and doesn't have anyway to release it. He was keeping sane by the thought of getting out and being able to kill the orcs that did the same to his mother.
She climbed up a few branches before looking out at the now large crowd taking pictures of her. She had at first, though she no longer tried to avoid the people's sights and cameras. She looked lower, seeing kids up against the glass and staring at her. A few of them looked sad as if they knew how she felt. She gave a small smile, barely visible to the adults. Several of the kids, however, brightened up at the small change. She sighed to herself, looking past the glass and looking for the others that were like her. She knew she wasn't the only captured, out of place being in this place. She had watched several people speak of vampires and werewolves that were in the zoo. She sighed as some of the group at her exhibit left, glad to be out of their attention span. She had learned over time that if she simply ignored the people they would take their pictures and leave. She looked up, thinking of escaping to her home with her sanity intact.
It's funny. They're totally into everything little thing I do. She thought to herself, her gentle smile twisting into something that more resembled an amused smirk. They probably think I'm superior to them. They're probably scared. She connected the arch in the final A in her name with a line through the middle. But just like them I can die. I could die right now. She shivered a little in excitement at the thought as she dropped the stone, admiring her work. It was rough, but legible. She stood, pushing her arms above her head in a stretch and kicking the rock into the enclosure. It skidded forward until it was stopped by a foot. The foot belonged to Alex, who was pacing restlessly. Delta watched him for a moment with dull interest before approaching him.
"Hello." She greeted him, hoisting herself onto a boulder just outside of his realm of movement. She turned away from him and flattened herself out on her back, head hanging over the rock as she continued to watch him move from upside down. "Having fun?"
Sivian thought back to when she came back home and saw her tribe was dead. She had been alone ever since, she was twelve at that time. She so wished she had found tracks so she knew who had killed her tribe but she had never found one, and it had been a year ever since she was captured.
Though, one thing had brightened her up strangely. A vampire with similiar looks to a vampire she knew many years ago, and how she missed that little vampire. She was five when she had met the vampire, but she had never seen him after that one day, and she dearly missed him, untill she'd seen Alex. And secretly, developed a crush on Alex.
She had no idea if different species could love each other, but the only thing on her mind at times were Alex and the boy when she was five. It had kept her alive so far, and it would keep her alive as long as it appeared in her thoughts and made her slightly happy. Maybe she could flee one day from this zoo together with Alex. A smile appeared on her face at that thought.
Sivian's chain of thoughts were broken by a bright flash and as she opened her eyes, she looked at the humans before her. She cocked her head and walked towards them, sat down before the glass and looked at one of the children that had his hands on the glass. She placed her hands opposite of his on the glass wall and as the little child smiled, she smiled faintly too, but only faintly. The parents made photos, but Sivian didn't care on this moment, she was concentrated on the small child. The small child seemed to sadden and Sivian pulled her hand away and looked down. She plucked some grass and held it against the wall. The boy tried to grab it and Sivian smiled faintly. The boy giggled. Then, the crowd walked away and Sivian walked back to the corner she sat, pulled her legs up her chest, wrapped her arms around it and closed her eyes. Her chain of thoughts continueing.

Maya growled a little, baring her teeth and startling a few kids away from the glass. She didn't like doing that, she liked kids, but she was tired, and she got grouchy when she needed sleep. Still in her wolf form, she curled up and wrapped her tail around her, slowly dozing off. Once she was calm enough, she phased back, still curled up, her odd, two-toned hair sticking up in all directions.
He turned back satisfied and retracted his wings happily and looked around seeing the other species on display. He saw an elf sulking in a tree and a few werewolves asleep ,he saw one in shackles and waved slightly to her and smiled. He figured if he could just escape or even one of the others they could unlock everyone else and find a way away from this 'zoo' some of the humans did seem to share in their tortured and crushed lives they had been living out.
He was going somewhat insane trying to find a way to get into a peaceful place. He went inside the hut out of view and lied down and cried a bit. He wanted to be away from the humans and everyone he wanted to be alone , he wanted to get far away from this continent, he wanted all of these things but he couldn't have any his only hope was to come up with a plan to escape.
She watched him going inside the hut out of view and removed her hand. She changed into her wolf form and sat up, looked around before her eyes fell on the sleeping Maya. Maybe Maya was right, maybe they could escape, just needed to find out how. Sivian smiled faintly as she found her trust in escaping again and looked back to the vampire enclosure. She puts her paw up again and scratched her name with her nail in the glass wall.
She sighed softly and laid down, curled up but kept watching the vampire enclosure. She had a crush on Alex, he reminded her so much of the vampire boy she still loved when she was five. She hoped she would see him soon, but she knew she wouldn't. She would never see him again, she knew he was dead, she just had that small bit of hope that she would see him once again. She kept hoping for that, but also bared in mind that she probably would never see him again, so she wouldn't get too happy or depressed.
She sighed and looked back at Maya. If Maya had hope, or Alex had hope of escaping, then she would too. Sivian nodded to herself and smiled faintly. She sighed softly and rested her head on her paws. She closed her eyes and opened them again, deciding not to sleep, but wait to see Alex again.
Having been born blind, Benji never had visual dreams, but this one was filled with vibrant scents and the comforting smells of the forest. Of home. His father's scent hung around him, and the sensation of his mother's muzzle against his, guiding. His siblings' voices filled the air and the tribe was together, all on the hunt. He felt safe and excited and was ready. His paw twitched and he startled awake at the scraping sounds of claw on glass.
Sitting up and stretching, he readjusted his hood around his shoulders and ran a hand through his hair, more for the sensation than to make his appearance any better. He'd never seen a mirror, why bother trying to look good if he had no clue what he looked like? He certainly wasn't going to try to impress the females in his enclosure. One was obnoxiously pining over the vampire from the next cage over, and the other was just far too dominant and just loud and outgoing for his taste. He kept his head down around the two of them. Avoiding dominance tiffs. Avoiding what might have been the zoo keepers' logic by keeping a male with two females. Benjamin just wasn't interested in breeding, or for the most part, females. Simple as that.
He stretched, ears and senses flicking to where the scraping sounds had been. It as Sivian. Probably attacking the glass. He rolled his eyes, sliding back into wolf form and comfortably laying down, crossing his paws and resting his muzzle on them, looking in the direction of the vampire's enclosure. He wondered what they talked about over there. Probably more interesting than what they talked, or rather, didn't talk about, over here.
An ivory colored wolf lay by the glass, eyes clearly directed toward the hut Alex had disapeared into. Delta noticed the wolf had etched its own name into the glass. She studied it for a moment. Not as good as mine. She decided. She put on a smile and waved in the direction of the wolf.

Benji was a weird one, not because he was blind and albino, but because of how he acted. He wasn't the dominant male type that she was used to, that she would have to fight with for acknowledgment. It was strange, but kinda nice as well...
Standing up, she went over to the food store, picking out a large chunk of meat, before approaching the male, setting the food down beside him.
"Hey Benji...thought ya might be hungry, so...", she muttered, sitting down again, a few feet away. Even if he didn't take the food, at least Maya knew in herself that she had tried to be nice.
Aside from that, she was content to watch him.
Benji had a completely irrational belief that whenever anyone did anything for him ever, they were doing it because they thought he couldn't do it himself since he was blind. This, of course, excluded the zookeepers feeding them, but still. Leading him around, bringing him food, grooming him, any friendly gesture was taken as a threat to his handicapability.
The soft sound of meat meeting the ground and the strong scent filled his head. He was hungry after his nap, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to take it, still under the false belief it was a pity offering. He slowly fidgeted with his hands, head turning to look at her, although he didn't need to he'd found out others tended to be mildly disconcerted when he didn't look at them as he spoke.
"I'm not going to breed with you. I'm not your direct dominant, and I can get my own food. Why precisely are you trying to feed me?" he asked, one eyebrow quirking upward.
Sivian looked back up at the vampire and cocked her head again. She looked at the hut of Alex and then back at Delta, cocking her head again. She then looked at her name she had scratched in the glass wall and looked at Delta. She cocked her head and pointed at it with her nose.

"I was just trying to be nice, Benji. I know you're perfectly capable of looking after yourself. Just...i wanted to have at least one person to talk to here. Yeah, i'm stuck in here with you and Sivian, but i'm still lonely...So i thought i'd do something nice for you, just 'cos i felt like it. It is possible for someone to do something nice without having a ulterior motive, you know.", Maya hoped like hell that Benji would realise she was hurt by what he had said. She understood his reasons, sure, but he didn't need to be so rude about it...
Suddenly she felt someone flick her skirt up and a pinch on her rear deep evil laughing sound from the other side of the cage. She jumped and screamed softly running away to the back of the cage. She fell and sat on the ground crying softly to herself her eyes blue and green. "Leave me alone please!" She yelled at the two guys. They started to whisper scary things to her and the made biting and kissing noises. She turned away from them. "You stupid humans are dumb. Just go away." she said, getting up and grabbing onto the cage clawing at them as they mocked her. She growled at them. They pushed her back and she fell to the bottom. They opened a hatch on a glass wall. They opened her cage door leading only into the enclosure. They poked her and pushed her into the enclosure by the butt. She stumbled ingot he glass cage and looked around and saw two other people inside. She leaned against the wall still sitting on the ground. Her eyes were bright blue and she was frightened.
Okay, maybe they weren't people, maybe not even humans, but they certainly weren't animals! They hadn't done anything making them deserving of this kind of abuse. They had been stuffed in cages- cages for crying out loud! Nadelin gripped the railing that prevented people from getting too close to the exhibit, her knuckles turning white from the pressure she squeezed the bars with. These must have been the mystery prizes her father and his fellow scientists were talking about so feverishly. Apparently they had found these beings on an island that had either been undiscovered or long forgotten by humanity. It seemed that it had been for the better, considering the liberties humanity was taking. Psh, she thought as if she weren't a part of it. Nadelin didn't want to be a part of this cruel practice, but out of all the kids on the planet she was probably the most closely involved. She wasn't the one directly stabbing them with needles and sticking tubes all in their throats but her father was. In fact, that monstrosity of a man had been the one to devise a plan to capture them all after their discovery. He had abandoned her on her 16th birthday to help wrangle them all in for this torture.
All in the name of science. That was always his excuse.
The mistreatment they had obviously been receiving outraged her as well. There were a multitude of cuts from all the "research" the scientists had been doing. There were bruises from where they'd been too rough and band-aids to mark where needles had pierced their flesh for the purpose of blood work. If there was anyone, anyone at all who deserved to be called a monster it certainly wasn't the poor souls in the cages. Eyes wide so to contain the rush of thoughts and emotions running through her veins, Nadelin tried to make eye contact with the lone captive she saw in the "Elf" cage. Maybe she praying that somehow this elf would understand the situation and forgive her for her father's offenses. Of course, this was complete and utter nonsense since to the elf, to all of them, she was just another human who had come to watch them suffer and do nothing. No, this wasn't right and she wouldn't stand to do nothing. Somehow Nadelin knew she needed to help them- she needed to get them out! But how could she do that? Her father was so very protective of them, far more protective them he'd ever been of her.
Yanking her from her jumbled thoughts, Nadelin felt a gloved hand on her shoulder. 'Speak of the devil...' Nadelin thought bitterly, turning to the man with the clean white lab coat who could only be her father. His little brass name plate was pinned carefully to his coat and it was clear he was very proud of it. The pin was polished so that is shone in the sunlight and read 'Mr. Grimelled' in his very own signature. "Nad," came her father's pleased voice, and Nadelin's eyes narrowed at his face. But he didn't notice her aggression and went on. "I'm glad you came. Do you see the progress we've made here? Isn't is marvelous?"
"Look, Maya. I don't do friendship. I do dominance, submission, mated pairs, and family. Those are the only relationships I comprehend," Benjamin muttered, blinking blankly at her. His white fur shifted slightly in the breeze. His free ear swiveled to catch the scientist's daughter talking to her father. Nothing interesting, yet.

"I was really just curious anyway...i mean, what goes on in your head? You don't have to tell me everything, but like i said, i'm just curious. I've never met anyone like you before. You know there's humans who actually try and change their hair and their eyes to look the way yours does? They come here sometimes, with really weird clothes too...they usually seem more interested in the vampires though...", Maya was just rambling now, describing to Benji every detail of what went on outside the glass, not knowing that he could hear most of it anyway. Of course, she couldn't hear much through the glass, so she was just describing what she saw everyday. It kept her amused, and she hoped it amuse Benji as well.
Alex wasted no time in rushing over to greet her. Delta trudged over as well, just in time to catch Alex introducing them.
"I'm Alex by the way, and that little bundle of death is Delta and what is your name m'lady?" Delta smirked at how he referred to her. She dropped to her knees to get a better look at the girl. Her eyes were a vibrant blue color and she could easily detect fear in them.
"Hellooo~" Delta greeted.
“Dad,” Nadelin said with obvious restraint in her voice, “Why are you treating them like this? Maybe all those other people are oblivious to your organization's cruelty but I can see all the testing that you’ve done on them!” Accusingly she pointed to the elf that had run up and pounded the glass wall, rage directed at her father. “Look at this! They’re in CAGES for crying out loud! Like wild animals!” “Nad, they’re not people. Don’t talk about them as if they were.” “They’re not animals either! They don’t deserve to be treated as if they were! If anyone here is an animal it’s you and your corrupt-” Her father jerked her to face him and Nad bit her lip, knowing she had pushed her luck.
“Nadelin Micah Vilem!” He yelled, then growled with all seriousness, “This is not your business, this is not your fight and I WILL NOT put up with your argue mental behavior. You will forget all this nonsense and shape up at once, do you understand!?” Nad lowered her eyes, her fists clenched at her sides. “Yes father.” She said in a monotone. Her father patted her shoulder as if he hadn’t just threatened her. “Now, go buy yourself something sweet. I have to get back to work.” Then he proudly walked off only to be mobbed by reporters and the general public who had questions about everything.
Nadelin looked straight at the elf who was against the glass and sighed unhappily. “I’m sorry,” she said, “I’m sorry it all turned out like this. But,” Nad’s eyes wandered to her father who gloated to the crowd, out of hearing range, “I promise, I’m gonna try to make it right.”
She than stopped and noticed the elf who had pounded on the glass. She barked before starting to run in circles, not caring if humans were watching, or anyone for that matter. ''I'd... Rather... Die...'' the wolf panted, telling that over and over again to herself. She did rather die than stay here in this cage, on the chain because she attacked some stupid scientist.
She was not just some wild animal. She wasn't a human either, but had a form of a human and could live like a human. She was no monster or lab experiment, she wouldn't be, she wouldn't allow herself to be a monster or lab experiment, no no! The wolf growled as anger burned inside her and she ran a bit faster in the circle she had been running in. Her head started to pound and she was growing tired. She slowed a bit down but kept running in the circle, agitated, angry, confused why they did this. But, just very angry.
