Introduction
It has been a month since the monsters have been taken from their homes and they are anxious and starting to lose their heads being cramped up. Some of them have been broken submitting to life as an exhibit while others are plotting to escape the facility and somehow return home where they can live in peace. Some of the scientist's children have heard their fear and sorrow of staying inside the cage so some have decided to help the creatures...
The Races
Humans
The main race which inhabits most of the Earth. They are the most intellectual making cities and machines out rocks and weather. They are average out of the groups having no true physical attributes that help them out. They like-wise have no true weakness that hurts them in a true one hit kill. They are clear survivors and adapters able to cling to life and build to survive and thrive which has caused them to travel away from the islands never to return and colonize the rest of the planet. They have grown somewhat spoiled as a species needing unimaginable luxuries compared to the others.
Vampires
These creatures are extremely stereotyped in the human world. They are viewed as vicious bloodsucker who like nothing more than to feed on the blood of humans. More of which in reality they feed more of which on bloody meat which much be freshly killed. They do have a taste for blood although the much rather prefer the meat than the blood. They are slightly taller than the average size of humans but much faster but their upper body strength lacks extremely. They do have the ability to grow a pair of bat wings out of their shoulder blades which allow them to fly short distances. They are significantly faster than humans and can easily be labled as the fastest of the monster group. Their weakness is the vegetable garlic, the smell of it pierces their sense and if ingested can shut down their nervous system and cause them to stop breathing.
Werewolves
Werewolves are able to change their forms from human form to large wolves the size of horses. They are a calm species unless threatened then they will turn into savages. They are loyal to their allies and can be tamed easily making them a very easy species to break emotionally. They have a diet very similar to the vampires and will often try to steal some scraps of food if needed. They like to be with other and hate to be alone and will try to get into a group if separated. Their weakness is silver. Their skin is extremely sensitive to it and if touched by it their skin will start to deteriorate causing them to bleed to death.
Elves
Possibly the most humanoid of the monsters the only thing that separates them and humans are the strange diet of bugs and leaves, the large pointed ears used for hearing their prey and finally their enhanced ability for feeling vibrations. They use these combined talents for hunting large prey such as deer and boar a meat favored by the Vampires and Werewolves. The Elves are a noble race ,slightly taller than the average human but still taller than the Vampires. The Elf is a very kind creature but also very craft and capable of talking someone into a trap. Their weakness is cold. If the get even slightly cold they will instantly freeze up and die.
Dwarfs
Dwarfs are a small proud race standing at a mere four to five feet they are the smallest of the races but extremely strong. They are sometimes referred to as the opposite vampire. Where most of them are short ,slow, and strong compared to the tall, fast, and weak vampires. Their diet is very strange consisting of mead and cooked rocks with the occasional pork brought to them by some of the more generous tribes. Their immune system makes them invulnerable to most diseases. Their weakness is a small knot on their bodies. Where it is varies with the dwarf, if it is struck the dwarf will drop down dead to the ground.
Orc
Orcs are the brutes of the monsters with amazing strength and power with little to no brain mass. They are largest out of the five towering over humans and standing a few feet over the elves. Their skin is a light green to match their swampy habitats. They have no true home being completely nomadic finding their meals by conquering and trading. They are large and very sturdy capable of taking out a whole tribe of Werewolves by themselves with little casualties. They wear more of which lion cloths and speak very little to other species and will speak in rough english when they do. Their weakness lies in their feet, if you can manage to break one of their toes they will become blinded with rage attacking anyone whose close to them which is often their own.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 9 authors
Benji had been told he had the palest complexion anyone had seen quite a few times, which was why, throughout the time spent growing up, his parents had spent more and more time trying to expose him to the sun so he wouldn't hurt his skin too badly. It hadn't worked in any particular way that had shown up very well, but it had taught Benjamin to sit in the shade whenever he could, as he was now, lest he risk more painful sunburns.
Still, he couldn't understand why people would want his skin tone, through which the veins in his hands usually showed, mapping his hands in an odd blue-red mixture map. His irises, not properly red or pink, were in all actuality entirely transparent. With complete blindness to go along with the damage caused by lack of pigment, and the way his shock of white hair and his delicate white eyelashes made him stand out, he wished he could look anything but albino. It made him stand out and it made people want to do things for him. He'd heard the people talking about the vampires, though, and sometimes the werewolves. Maybe the elves, too. Their enclosure was a little hard to hear.
"They keep talking about how they'd like to be vampires. Suck the blood out of the 'horrible people of mainstream society' or something like that," Benji chipped in, sitting up as he felt the sun hit one of his shoulders, he moved deeper into the shade and transformed back to human, a little dart of frustration running through him at the fact that he couldn't see enough to see if he'd moved into the correct spot to avoid the sun for a while.
He noticed Hailed's eyes change but decided to ignore it and he walked back a bit. "Well anyways welcome to hell population us so yeah make yourself at home and try not to go insane or let them break your sense of freedom. " he smiled back then walked as some of the people were amazed at the sight of her coming in the cage as well. Then he noticed the man in a white coat walk past and Alex wanted thought of how to kill him. He saw him everytime he wasn't in his damn cage since he had been brought here.
He stood a short distance from the werewolf cage, a couple of feet at most. This was obviously close enough for the reporters to get some good shots of both the people and massive wolves that were caged behind her father. In addition to the eye popping backdrop, this was directly across from the vampire exibit. Since his recent success her dad was as he usually was; surrounded by a throng of reporters. “What's up Daddy?” she asked him in a chipper voice her had instructed her to use in the face of the cameras. He smiled, putting his arm around her shoulders and pulling her into a sideways hug. Nad squirmed uncomfortably, her perkiness faultering against his side, but his arm held a vice-like grip on her shoulder. Oh boy, here came the "I-love-my-daughter" speech.
“This is my daughter Nadelin,” her father beamed while Nadelin tried to force her mouth into a weak smile. “I do this every day for her. It’s hard sacrificing so much time to my work but since her mother left us everyday life has been hard.” The reporters kept talking and Nad mumbled answers to the few questions in her direction. Finally her dad’s grip loosened enough she could slip out from under his arm. “Hey Dad, I’m going to go get some cotton candy, okay?” Nad said with a most fake cheerful smile she could compose. “Sure dear. Here,” He replied happily, handed her some money. Then Nad turned to walk back to the elf, the smile dropping from her face like a two ton weight.
“And Nadelin,” his voiced called, making her stop in her tracks and turn back around. The false smile had returned as if it had never left. His voice was light but his eyes were stone serious; the way they always got when he was threatening someone. “Stay away from the elf exhibit please sweetie. You’re upsetting it.” Nad’s shoulder’s stiffed but she couldn’t look away from his warning gaze. Unable to avoid defeat she beamed. “Yes father.” Nad chimed, then turned away. Her eyes were narrowed in anger and she slouched a little, dropping her eyes to the pavement. The accursed smile she had worn was gone as well as the faked craving for cotton candy. Instead she walked in the opposite direction, heading towards the “Vampire” cage in an attempt to get further away from her fame-struck father. If his career hadn't eaten all his humanity, his sudden fame was going to finish it off.

"Slightly further back, and to your right, nice bit of shade", she suggested automatically, and was about to continue with her descriptions when he showed up.
Without thinking, she phased, growling at the man through the glass, hackles raised. She normally wasn't a particularly violent person, but she wanted to hurt this man. Hurt him a lot, like he was doing to them.
Like he was doing to Benji.
The bruises stood out more on him than they did anyone else, since he was so pale, and as much as she knew he would hate it she couldn't help but feel a little protective over the albino male.
Ignoring the cameras flashing, she threw herself against the glass, growling and barking, leaving scratches in the glass with her claws. Imagining what those claws could do to the human that the glass was preventing her from getting to...
She watched as human walked over with their strange devices, simply standing there and letting the people flash lights at her. She stood in thought, thinking of what she could do to offend these humans. She grinned as she remembered a seemingly vulgar gesture, often getting people smacks from others. She cleared her through before 'flipping the birdie' to the reporters. She kept it brief, though whoever saw it gave a quite audible gasp. She turned, climbing back up her tree and into the house as she talked to herself. "And you can't do a damn thing, humans. I'm your only elf."
“That’s what you get you bunch of morons.” She muttered to herself, but she knew the attack wouldn’t do much more than frighten the reporters. Then in return it would increase her father’s heroic reputation. But at least Nadelin knew the werewolf attacking wanted out. She couldn’t blame her either. Being stuck in this prison couldn’t be any fun, especially when people were poking and prodding you with needles. A thought struck Nadelin and she blinked at the peculiar-ness of it. She knew these captives could talk, hearing them speak everyone often and hearing the tales of the mothers who disapproved of the curse words they knew. Had the scientists ever considered talking to any of these captives? Wouldn’t that be a far less barbarian way to learn more about them?
Toying with the idea of a scientist having a conversation with one of the specimens instead of pumping them with chemicals was amusing and sounded much less… disturbing. Seeing this as her opportunity to escape, Nadelin quickly walked over the elf’s prison. The reporters had all walked off either to investigate the werewolves or to seethe about something the elf had done on camera... whatever that meant. Quietly she tapped on the glass, eyes darting occasionally to her father who paid her no attention. Tap tap tap. Nadelin was hoping beyond hope the captive elf would reappear from her hide out in the trees. Perhaps she could talk to this one, since the reporters and her father seemed to be preoccupied with the werewolves.

Etched into the glass, the large scratches clearly read 'F**k you'. She figured that was direct enough, since once the reporters figured out what it said, there were looks of shock all round.
Giving a satisfied huff, she padded over to Benji, lightly nudging him, whining slightly in apology, though she wasn't sure if it had been her or that man that had scared him more. She lay down near him, still in her light grey wolf form, curling her tail round her body, eyes, still emerald-green even in this form, fixed on the glass, though she occasionally glanced at Benjamin, checking if he was okay.
She growled again and snapped at her paw where the chain was, than continued to run again. She smiled a wolfish smile and howled whilst running, than became silent but always running. Maybe she'd gone mad because of being locked up in her, or maybe she had something in her mind. Whatever it was, humans seemed to enjoy her behaviour, and Sivian enjoyed herself too. She still kept running like a wild animal.
Sivian started to slow down as she noticed her paws were burning now, she ignored the feeling though and kept running, but slower now. Her paws were only burning more and she saw a few drops of crimson red liquid in her paw steps, smirked faintly, and continued running like she had gone mad. And how she enjoyed running like this, it was great. Tongue sticking out of her mouth, eyes focused on the ground as she ran, not caring about the other werewolves, she just kept running in circles in the corner where she was chained. She snapped at the chain again, than at her tail, before she continued again, not wanting to stop, forcing herself to go on.
And, eventually, the wolf slowed down more and more. Her paws were too tired. And finally, the wolf's eyes closed, and she dropped to the ground. Her paws were burning and bleeding, but not much bleeding, and her lungs were burning too. She had forced herself to run 'till she could no more, and now she could no more. The wolf became unconciouss.
"That's why you'll give her the sedation until the door in closed again." He interrupted the man venomously. "If you aren't VERY CAREFUL you'll end up like Tom did." The man gulped softly then murmured a "Yes sir," and left to go bandage the werewolf. The process was quick as they drugged her and pulled her from the cage. Working quickly, her paws were cleaned of the dead skin and dried blood that had been caked with dirt. Her paws were treated against common infections and wrapped in clean linen. A few tests were run to make sure she had no form of rabies-related illnesses that would drive mad or to attack her own kind. Then she was unhooked from the chain and lain back in the cage, the titanium door slamming shut behind her unconscious body.
Withdrawing from the contact with his new 'friend', he guessed that was what she wanted to be, but he was just pegging her as a dominant ally.
"Sorry," he murmured, then his ears flicked back toward Sivian. The smell of the lab clung to her fur, the air filled with her unmovingness. He sighed. Time to play Omega some more, go cheer up his enclosure-mate. Packmate? No. They weren't a pack, at least not yet. He stood, wincing as he padded out of the shade into the sun to nudge Sivian.
"Hey. You all right?" His eyes watered under the mid afternoon sun, his skin already itching a little under his thick pelt.
Logan beamed, bouncing on the balls of his feet as his mother lead him into the zoo for the first time. He'd get to see ((for free, no less, due to his mother working on the animals)), some of the greatest, most interesting beasts he'd never even dreamed of. He wondered if the vampires actually drank blood. If they fed them guests after dark. Oh no, Logan, don't let your imagination get away from you, kid, he reminded himself, beaming as his mother halted in front of an enclosure. He blinked. Then blinked again. Then once more. His blood ran cold.
Those weren't animals. Not the giant bats he'd been expecting, not the monsters born of bloodshed and fear he'd been thinking they were. Three humans. Packed like most endangered species which scientists didn't know how to breed; one male, two females, most likely in hopes they'd reproduce and expand profit. Logan couldn't help but stare. He clenched his jaw and didn't talk to his mother. He looked at the head scientist. No use doing anything now. He'd wait. He would wait and he'd manage to get through to those people in there, he was sure. He moved on, a little stiffly, ignoring his mother asking where he was going. The werewolves were easier to cope with. Two white wolves, one much paler, his fur bordering on transparent at the tips, his eyes pink if Logan was seeing right, the other a heavy arctic-wolf type colouring, and then the third, slate grey. These didn't look like humans. He could stand these being caged if he just thought of them as large wolves. That was better. Only a little, but better than caging humans. He finally found himself walking numbly toward the elf enclosure when he saw a single girl tapping on the enclosure's glass. Everyone else had moved on to different enclosures, most likely, due to the fact the elf seemed to be hiding. He walked up to her, and almost opened his mouth, about to tell her off for frightening the elf by tapping on the glass when he realised that it didn't matter; the glass was soundproof anyway.
"Hello there, ma'am," he muttered, peering into the enclosure, trying to figure out where the elf was. He wanted to see the scope of the things he wanted to rescue before he got too hasty. He needed to learn about them first. He needed to figure out what they needed. Then he'd try to scrape together some sympathetics and he'd free these critters if it was the last thing he did. Zoo breaking would just have to be this summer's adventure.
Something else was nagging at her and that was how they would act once freed. She was the head-honcho’s daughter and they probably wouldn’t take too kindly to her title. And if they did decide she was better off dead, well, there really wasn’t a thing she could do about it… That was why she had wanted to talk to the elf. If she would agree to side with Nadelin then Nad would let her out first and together they could free all the others. From there Nadelin would have to get the maps to the island they all came from and return them home. Scribbling away in the notebook and sitting modestly in front of the elf exhibit, Nadelin drew a rough sketch of the area and all the cameras that watched it. On the side was a list of the items she would need and the plan for the break-in. She scarcely noticed a tall shadow as it loomed over her full view spiral.
"Hello there, ma'am,"
Nadelin jerked to face the one who had spoken; afraid that maybe her father and finished talking to the reporters. Had he walked over when she wasn’t looking so to deliver her punishment? After all, she was disobeying orders by not staying away from the elf... Instead she was greeted by the more welcome sight of a boy, perhaps a year or so older than she. His hair was light brown and behind the half-rimmed glasses he wore, his eyes were green; much like her own. “Oh, hello,” Nadelin greeted the boy with a small smile. Then she stood up, tucking the open notebook under her arm and dusting her skirt off with her free hand. He looked familiar somehow; oh yeah! His mother worked under her dad and he had shown Nadelin the profile of their family. “Um, Logan is it?” Nadelin extended her hand with a pleasant smile. “Hi. I’m Nadelin.”
She stood, peeking out of her little house and jumping down from it's enclosure. She smiled when she saw the girl from earlier, giving a small snicker at the reporters both at her cage and the one with the wolve-people. She looked curiously as the girl sat, drawing something she couldn't see. She began walking towards the girl, pausing when a human boy walking up to her. She watched as the two conversed a bit before walking to the glass in front of them and tapping at it as the girl had. She gave a small wave to both of the humans.
"Daughter of the big scientist in charge of this operation? You don't seem the type to like imprisoning critters like this, though," he said, jovially. His mother, always grinning, had taught him it was always best to be friendly and happy around women. They liked it more. They liked to be the ones being miserable and sappy and dramatic. They didn't want their men to be doing it.
The elf, a stunning brunette, strode up to the glass before them. With long hair and ears, she had a uniquely elegant quality he hadn't noticed in the wolves or the vampires. He smiled and waved back, trying to give out friendly vibes.
"Have these people ever considered talking to their subjects? It's obvious they're intelligent enough to communicate, but my dad is too consumed by his work to see that! He's too busy to see anything anymore..." Crossing her arms over her chest she let out a short huff of irritation. It was obvious that she was extremely aggitated but took a moment to regrain her composer before turning to Logan again. "...Sorry about that. I'm sort of upset about this whole mess and how my dad and his organization are abusing them. I didn't mean to get mad at you." Nad apologized, rubbing the back of her neck in an embarressed manor. "I can't wait to see these semi-humans freed. I bet they can't either."

Turning back towards the glass, she saw the girl who had been with that man before. Was she his pup? Probably, though they were completly different in terms of the feeling they gave off. Hers was kind, childlike. It was kinda nice to see.
The girl was talking with a male around her age, and Maya vaguely wondered if they were mates, before stopping. Humans didn't work that way, did they? Yes they mated, but that didn't really mean anything to them. She'd seen humans come in with a different 'mate' each time...she didn't quite undeestand that, but oh well...
"Well, now, we're on the same page. And where your father only works with creatures in the lab, I presume, Mum works with training and understanding animals. I'm her intern for animal training, which means I technically have the right to go into the cages at any time that feeding isn't going on, as long as I have my trusty tranq on me." He patted the gun on his hip. "So, Nadelin, why don't we visit our elf friend here? Bit of an adventure, eh?"
Benji relaxed as he felt the accepted apology. When Sivian didn't respond, he let her be. If she was unconscious there was nothing he could do for her until she woke up, and she was definitely still alive, so he didn't worry too much. He padded back over to Maya, ears pricked as he scented the air in the direction she was looking. Two humans. One male, one female.
"Male and female. Think they're mates? I mean. I've heard it's totally okay for human males to mate with human males and human females to mate with human females so the male/female thing means nothing but," Benjamin kind of just decided to shut up, not wanting to incriminate himself or blabber needlessly.
The ivory coloured wolf looked at Maya and Benji and frowned as she listened to their conversation. She shook her head to herself and turned back towards the wall. She narrowed her eyes and walked back to the corner where she had been running the whole time. She smelled the tracks and followed them, a slow walk, but not for long.
Soon, the wolf was running again, in a bigger circle though, now she had no chain, she could run in a bigger circle, but she definantly wasn't going to stay here. She stopped after a while, looked at her tail, snapped at it and continued running like she was trying to follow her own tail. Gone mad? No, not really. She just wanted to get out, and the only way to do that is injure herself, and so she would do. Maybe she would even kill, but she didn't like to kill, exept for humans than. She didn't mind killing them. Maybe she'd kill the next human entering this enclosure. But for now, she kept running, seeming to try to follow her tail, untill she could no more.
The wolf stopped again, not because she could no more, but because of her paws. She only noticed it now, the linnen. She growled and carefully pulled them off, then ripped them apart. After that, she continued running again, pushing her paws to go faster, as fast as they could.

"Those two seem to be getting along though...the male seems as though he likes her a lot...It's kinda nice, when you know that there are actually some nice humans out there...", she mused, watching the humans, who were over at the elf's cage.

"Those two seem to be getting along though...the male seems as though he likes her a lot...It's kinda nice, when you know that there are actually some nice humans out there...", she mused, watching the humans, who were over at the elf's cage.
Nadelin's heart jumped to her throat in excitment upon seeing his gesture. Wait, did that mean...? "So, Nadelin, why don't we visit our elf friend here? Bit of an adventure, eh?" Nad gasped, clapping her hands together in a prayer-like position and holding them to her chest. "Yes! Yes, please!" Nad said, exuberant, the most delighted smile on her face. Wow! What an opportunity! Her father would never let her do such a thing! Her father... The smile dropped from Nad's face and she made a gesture to be quiet. "C'mon, let's hurry. If my dad seeing he might tell me not to, or worse; he'll want to come."
The scientist looked at the tranquilizer, considering. 'Okay, go on.' he finally said.
Lurbuk smiled - which, he had figured out, only made him more hideous - and continued. "Well, I say go for it, man!"
The scientist looked pleasantly surprised. 'Really?'
"Yeah!" Lurbuk said, grinning. He extended his arm.
The scientist jumped, but then put the syringe away and shook Lurbuk's hand. 'Thanks, you have no idea how much this means to me! I'll call her up sometime after work!'
Lurbuk patted the scientist on the back and pulled him closer. "Yeah, so, how about bagging those tests today?" he asked quietly.
The scientist hesitated for a moment. Lurbuk squeezed his grip on the scientist's shoulder a little tighter... 'Yeah, sure. Of course. I'll just make up the paper work.'
The half-orc nodded, laughing. "That's my boy! And not a word to anyone else!" The scientist nodded discreetly and left thinking he was getting away with something special. Actually he was the fourth scientist to come in here with the intention of taking the half-orc in for tests and then ending up pouring out his woes to the sociable chap. Lurbuk had skipped four testing sessions. Yup. Life was good in here. Lurbuk sat back on the tree he was leaning on and put his hands behind his head. Now if they would only let him out of this display case thing...
