Image Name: Phoenix Rahaim

Age: 28

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Height: 5'8"

Weight: 155lbs

Sexuality: Pansexual

Job: Spy

Appearance: Phoenix is relatively tall and she has a somewhat muscular, athletic build. Her skin is very dark and she has elegant facial features. She has dark eyes and full lips. Phoenix generally always wears makeup, though not for others so much as it is for the fun of it. She wears her hair in a large, curly afro style and she takes excellent care of it. Phoenix generally likes to wear comfortable clothing when possible, opting for stretchy pants or leggings with long tank tops or t-shirts and, if it's cold, a sweater or jacket. She loves to dress up when she can, though, and she enjoys wearing bright colours and bold patterns. She usually wears either tall high heels, heeled boots, or ballerina-style flat shoes. Usually, Phoenix can be seen wearing some sort of jewelry.

Personality: Phoenix has two very different sides to her personality. When Phoenix is focusing on her work, she tends to be very quiet and serious. She's an excellent listener and very observant, though she can sometimes come across as cold and standoffish if she doesn't deem you relevant or important. Phoenix is quite perceptive and can usually tell when somebody is lying or withholding information. When she needs information she tends to find it by asking around, blackmailing, or snooping through somebody else's things as she's never really had the heart for torture. She is a decent fighter. When she isn't focused on her work, though she is highly guarded, she can be a lot of fun. She cares deeply about others when she's had time to build a relationship with them and she enjoys going out and doing things, no matter what the thing is. She's very open-minded and has a tendency to be something of a people-pleaser. She does, however, enjoy pushing others out of their comfort zones.

History/Bio: Phoenix was raised in the world of organized crime and was exposed to a lot of messy things from a young age. Her father took part in all sorts of messy business and her mother worked as a prostitute, in addition to helping her husband with his illicit work. As a little girl, Phoenix's father liked to use her to lure in victims - usually young women - who he'd then kidnap, usually to sell. Phoenix would be dressed in rags and told to attract the target's attention, to ask her as sweetly as possible for help, and then to lead her to an agreed-upon spot so that her father and his men could snatch the woman up. Phoenix grew accustomed to falling asleep to the sound of people pleading for freedom or screaming as they were tortured. She didn't enjoy helping her parents, but she wasn't aware that she had a choice in the matter.

When Phoenix was only sixteen years old, her father essentially traded her virginity as part of a business transaction, leaving her at the mercy of a pair of his friends and informing her that she wasn't permitted to fight against them or she'd be disowned. It was on that night that Phoenix decided she'd had enough of her parents and their shady dealings and she decided to take them down for once and for all. She started to gather all the information she could, taking notes of meeting spots, times and dates, names of individuals, code names, and all the information she could find. Once she'd gathered together as much as she could and had implicated as many of her father's friends and associates as possible, Phoenix took this information to the rulers of her Kingdom. Over the next few weeks, the guards performed several raids, capturing most of the people involved with Phoenix's family and freeing several of their victims, prisoners, and hostages.

The royal family deemed Phoenix a hero of their Kingdom and gave her as much as they could in return for her aid - they signed over her parents' home to her, gave her money and jewels, offered her servants, and assured her that if there was ever anything she needed, they would provide it for her. Phoenix had realized that she was actually quite good at undercover work, having kept her actions a secret from her parents and successfully collected all the information she needed. She'd also used stealth skills to break into rooms, drawers, cabinets, etc. that she wasn't permitted to enter, and she decided that she wanted to continue doing similar work. She started to take formal training through the royal family and became a spy for them.

One day, Phoenix was approached by Sophia Bradley and asked to undertake some highly sensitive work. Sophia revealed to her that her younger brother, Weston, who was supposedly dead, was actually alive and well and living a while away. Sophia had a pair of spies who kept tabs on him but one of them had just stepped down because she wanted to get married and start a family, so she needed somebody new to replace that spy. Phoenix agreed to do the work, despite the stipulation that the royal family was not permitted to find out that Weston was alive, and she cleaned out her home to rent it out - having Sophia collect the rent money on her behalf - while she was away.

For several years now, Phoenix has been following Weston. She always keeps herself at a distance from him, observing only and sending private couriers back to Sophia with the information she gathers. She has interacted directly with Weston only once - accidentally, when she was in line at a coffee shop getting a drink and he came in and got in line behind her - but has interacted indirectly with him on many occasions. She was responsible for persuading his publishers to take a chance on his novel - through blackmail, of course - and she keeps dangerous people away from him; for his good looks he has been targeted by more than one parties in the human trade business, and his secretive nature has drawn the attention of individuals looking to learn more about him.

Now, Weston has moved to the floating islands to be closer to his new publisher and has taken up residence with a young woman who owns a chocolate shop. Phoenix, naturally protective over Weston after having spent so many years observing and protecting, has taken it upon herself to go undercover on the floating islands to continue observing for Sophia - and to find out about the young woman with whom Weston is living, though that part may purely be selfish intrigue.

So begins...

Amira woke up to the smell of cinnamon and looked over and saw that Weston had left her while she slept. She sat up and stretched a little bit before throwing on some warmer jammies and heading downstairs. She peeked at what he was making and about fell over. "Ugh darn you and your delicious looking adorable breakfast. You're the worst." She said and smirked a little bit. "Happy Halloween!" She said with a grin.

Lance continued to stay thoroughly passed the hell out. He knew he didnt need to be at work so he certainly would not be waking up at the time he normally would. When he felt Nixy snuggle into him his arms wrapped around her as well as his legs and he ended up pulling her into such a tight hug while he was still completely out.

Weston was surprised that Amira managed to sleep through almost all of breakfast being made. She normally came down while he was cooking, but the cinnamon buns were finished, he had just finished putting the whipped cream on the ghost pancakes, and he was starting to think he would have to go get her for breakfast. He was just frosting the cinnamon buns when she came down, which was a bit of a relief, and he grinned when he heard her words. "The pancakes are sage and pumpkin. You can grab your stack now and I'll bring out the cinnamon buns in a minute," he told her.

Phoenix held back a bit of a giggle at the way Lance snuggled her in her sleep, their legs all tangled together as he held her close. He was such a heavy sleeper but always somehow managed to be alert enough to give her some love when she was cuddling him. She closed her eyes, wanting to squeeze in a bit more sleep before they actually got up and went about having their brunch.

Amira looked over and then blinked and nodded before grabbing her stack of pancakes and shuffling over to the table with it and sitting down. "These are too damn cute. Why are you so adorable? Who said you could be this way?" She asked, looking back over at him. "Ugh and you're so cute in the morning...You're killing me Weston. Im gonna turn into a puddle..." She said and sighed a little bit.

Lance hugged Nixy a little bit tighter before he ended up letting go after a minute and just sprawling out on his back, mumbling something completely incoherent while he did, and then returning to his hibernating bear like slumber.

Weston laughed as he heard her expressing her frustrations over how cute he was. He grabbed a plate and put the cinnamon rolls on it once he'd finished frosting them, taking the plate of cinnamon buns and his plate of pancakes out to the table and sitting down across from Amira. "You're just so adorable all the time, love, I'm only trying to keep up with you," he told her with a bit of a casual shrug, grabbing a cinnamon bun and reaching across to plop it down on her plate before grabbing one for himself as well.

Phoenix was a bit concerned that Lance would squeeze her almost to death if he kept tightening up his grip. "Damn anaconda," she whispered when he finally let go, She rolled over on her stomach, tucking her arms under the pillows and turning her head so it was facing towards him. She kept her eyes half-open, admiring her handsome man while he slept so soundly. Maybe she'd get lucky when the time came and their babies would sleep like him.

Amira giggled a little bit. "You shush, your flattery will get you everywhere and we both know it." She said and smirked a little bit before taking a bite of her pancakes and about melting out of her chair. "Some days I hate you..." She said, obviously joking and just jealous of his pancake making skills.

Lance slept for a few minutes later before he got kind of a scowl on his face while he was sleeping, he woke up a few seconds later, sitting up pretty quickly. Apparently his dreams had taken a turn and that served to be his wake up call. He looked over and saw Nixy and smiled. "Morning babe." He said softly.

Weston laughed when she said that flattery would get him everywhere and he smirked, taking a bite of his cinnamon roll before starting in on his pancakes. He laughed softly when she joked that she sometimes hated him. "I was thinking about doing pumpkin spice muffins but decided on the cinnamon rolls instead since they'd be easier to turn into little pumpkins," he told her with a chuckle. "I'm glad you like the pancakes."

Phoenix was half asleep, not quite able to fall fully asleep for some annoying reason, but Lance abruptly sitting up awake was enough to wake her fully. She blinked slightly, looking up at him. "Morning," she said, sitting up and taking a moment to stretch out her arms. "Are you as excited for Halloween as I am?" she teased with a grin. "All the little kids are gonna look so damn cute in their costumes."

Amira blinked. "Since when are you such a baker? My my, how did I manage to get so lucky? My man cooks, cleans, and he bakes. AND he's the damn cutest thing too. I dont know what I did to deserve all of this but im so glad ive got it." She said and took a bite of her cinnamon roll and sighed happily and then just shut up and ate.

Lance shook his head. "Well probably not, but I just woke up, I have very little capacity for excitement at the moment." He said and stretched a little bit before flopping back on the bed. "Ugh. Well I am excited to see you in your costume since this one you seemed more excited about since you dont need to dull it down for work." He said and closed his eyes though he certainly wouldnt be going back to sleep now.

Weston smirked when Amira questioned when he'd gotten into baking. "I've been working on it in secret for months," he told her. "I just want to impress you for the rest of my life, but eventually I'll run out of impressive things to do, so I have to learn new things," he told her. He started to work on eating his pancakes, occasionally pausing to take a bite or two of the cinnamon bun.

Phoenix giggled when he said that he probably wasn't as excited as she was. She moved a little closer, leaning up to kiss his cheek gently and run her fingers through his hair. "Very little capacity for excitement, hmm?" she murmured, her lips near his ear. "I'm sure I could help you with that. You probably have plenty of untapped potential for excitement and you just don't realize it."

Amira shook her head. "Youre over here being good at everything and I fall down the stairs three times a week. Good thing we even each other out huh?" She said with a giggle, before returning to munching away at her food. She was excited for the rest of the day, the kids coming to the door, the costumes, and well, the surprise she had for Weston later too.

Lance nodded a little. "Well when it comes to anything other than you." He said and then smirked a little bit. "But you know, you should totally see how if you can find this untapped potential for excitement that you're so sure is there." He said and poked her nose with his own.

Weston laughed softly when Amira said that he was good at everything and they evened one another out. "I wouldn't say I'm good at everything. I can't sing or play any musical instruments, and I never really got the hang of chess, I've tried lockpicking and that's just not my thing, I definitely can't juggle, mathematics are not my strong suit, and I can't paint or draw to save my life. There's plenty more I can't do, of course, but those are just the ones off the top of my head that I'd like to be able to do but I can't. Granted, some of those take learning and studying and I simply haven't had the opportunity to pursue them - maybe next I'll learn to play an instrument to impress you," he said with a smirk.

Phoenix giggled when he poked her nose with his, turning her head from side to side so her nose rubbed playfully against his. "Well, if it has to have something to do with something other than me, I don't know what to do for you," she told him with a laugh. "All I know is how to excite you by using me. Anything else, though, I've got no clue." She smiled up at him and then closed the gap between their lips, pressing hers to his softly.

Amira giggled a little bit. "Im not particularly good at any of those things either." She said and shook her head. "I'm already impressed by you though, so theres no use learning things just to impress me, you should only do things you want to do because they seems like fun. " She said and shook her finger at him.

Lance laughed a little. "Well, im always excited about pie. More so than I am about bagels." He said and then scrunched up his nose.
I'll be just fine and dandy and excited when I wake up all the way." He said and shrugged a little. "Ugh but its soo nice just laying here with you that I could just go back to sleep..." He huffed.

Weston laughed a little and shook his head. "Of course I want to learn to play an instrument because it seems like fun. But I also want to do things that'll impress you," he said, shaking his head a bit when she said she was already impressed with him. "Maybe now you are, but eventually all the things I do will be so normal and mundane to you that you won't be impressed any more. And then one day some man will come into the shop, with black hair and blue - wait, no, green eyes, men with green eyes are the worst - and he'll have a violin across his back and he'll calculate the cost of his chocolates without you even needing to tell him so he can give you exact change right away, and the next time he comes in he'll bring you a sketch he drew of your face based entirely on memory as a gift, and he'll serenade you and invite you on a date... I've already figured this all out, princess. I need to be one step ahead of that man whenever he comes along," he told her with a slight smirk, trying to indicate that he was, of course, joking. Not that it wasn't a legitimate fear of his, of course, but he'd never admit that to her.

Phoenix giggled when he said that he was always excited about pie and she nodded. "Pie it is, then. Maybe I should get Amira to teach me to bake pie. Can you imagine that? Me in the kitchen pulling out a fresh pie from the oven, wearing nothing but high heels and an apron that says 'Kiss the cook'..." A smirk came to her lips as she described it, suddenly deciding that one of these days it'd have to become a reality.

Amira shook her head at Weston, and when he started explaining his reasoning for needing to learn all these different things she blinked and raised an eyebrow at him. "Well, a man like that could come in and do all of those things, but he wouldnt be you so it would be a waste of time on his part." She said and munched her cinnamon roll a little bit more.

Lance nodded. "Pie was another thing I hadnt really had before. I mean, I had fancy things that claimed to be pie but I like the pie ive had while traveling a whole lot more." He said and then chuckled at what Nixy said. "Oh I certainly can imagine that, and its beautiful, and we need to ask Amira to teach you how to bake pie." He said and kissed her forehead before getting up. "Well, im gonna go take a shower so I can get dressed up as a tree later." He said and smirked a little before walking off to the bathroom to take a shower.

Weston couldn't help but to smile somewhat when she said that any other man would be wasting his time even if he could do all those things. It was somewhat reassuring to hear. Amira was beautiful and she could have her pick of men, yet she chose him. He liked that. "Well, I appreciate that," he said softly. "And I love you," he said before finishing up his cinnamon roll and grabbing a second one.

Phoenix laughed when he said that he'd had fancy things that claimed to be pie and she shook her head. "Nah. There's nothing fancy about pie. If it's fancy, it's not a damn pie," she said with a grin. "There's this restaurant in Austemoir near where I grew up - it's kinda in the bad end of town, but it's run by this family and they say that everything they make is an old family recipe and they've got this bumbleberry pie that's just to die for. One day when we're there I'll have to take you," she told him. She nodded when he said that he was going to go take a shower. "Sounds good. I'll go figure out something for breakfast," she said, heading downstairs. She threw a pan on the stove and cracked a few eggs over it, leaving them to cook while she started some toast.

Amira nodded a little bit and then smiled when he said he loved her. "I love you too." She said softly and finished up her food and took her plate out to the kitchen to wash it up. When she finished she dried her hands and walked over to finish up her glass of water before taking that back to the sink as well before looking at the time. "Hmm...I wonder when we should be getting our costumes and stuff on..." She mumbled.

Lance went and showered up and then threw some sweatpants on and walked downstairs. He got down there and saw Nixy cooking and smiled a little bit, walking up behind her and kissing the side of her head.

Weston finished up his pancakes and took the dishes out to the kitchen to wash up with her, though he kept the second cinnamon bun in hand to munch on while he walked about. He shrugged when Amira asked what time they should put their costumes on. "Whenever you feel like it. We should be fine until after lunch, though - not like we have anywhere to be, and the kids won't start coming around until later on in the evening," he said to her. "I'm really looking forward to seeing your costume. When do I get this surprise you mentioned?"

Phoenix looked up and over her shoulder at Lance when he came over and kissed her, a smile on her lips. "Hey," she said, grabbing a knife to butter the toast. "I've got eggs and toast. I'd have thrown on some bacon but I'm all out," she told him rather disappointedly.

Amira looked over at him and nodded a little bit. "Well I guess that means we get to be lazy in our pajamas for a good long while. I dont think I ever went and made plans to go out with Nixy and Lance so...Well we could just drop in on them if we wanted to." She said and shrugged a little bit. "I had meant to ask yesterday if they wanted to go look at the day time halloween stuff the city does, its mostly for families with young children though. Lottie and her kids and Serena go every year." She said with a little bit of a shrug. "And you get this surprise when we're done with the Halloween festivities mister."

Lance looked down at her and nodded "Hmmm we should probably go grocery shopping or something then." He said and then shrugged. "This breakfast looks really good though." He said and then looked at the clock. He still wasnt really too used to actual off days like this, normally he had some kind of work to be doing so this was really kind of weird for him.

Weston smiled when she said that they'd get to spend the day being lazy in their pyjamas, and he chuckled when she suggested just dropping in. "Knowing those two, I'd hate to see what we might drop in on," he said with a slight smirk. "If it's mostly for families with kids then there's probably not much point in going. Not when we can have a lazy day at home in our pyjamas until it's time to get changed - unless, of course, I wanted to parade you around the town and show off what a beautiful princess I landed," he said with a smirk. He nodded when she said that he got his surprise after Halloween was over. "Fine, fine. I can wait."

Phoenix nodded when he said that they should go grocery shopping. "Yeah, probably," she said. "We could go do that when we're done breakfast, since neither of us has to work and we'll need food anyways. Maybe I'll go buy the ingredients to make some pie," she told him with a quick wink and a giggle. She went to check on the eggs, which seemed to be done cooking, so she turned off the heat and put them on the plates with the buttered toast, carrying two plates over to the table. "Here we go. You should probably add salt," she told him with a laugh.

Amira laughed a little. "its probably good that I forgot to ask them about it. "Besides, I think this is Lances first actual day off in a good while, so I probably shouldnt be trying to drag everyone out and about." She said and then blinked. "You dont need to parade me about mister. Jesus." She said and then giggled. "Can you? You seem just a tad impatient." She teased.

Lance nodded a little bit. "Yeah, we probably should go ahead and do that." He said and then chuckled. "Im not gonna complain one bit if you do." He said and then watched her finish up breakfast. He walked to the table with her after grabbing them both some water and then sat down and munched away.

Weston laughed a little when she said it was probably for the best that they not bother Lance and Phoenix and he nodded his agreement. "Yeah, they deserve some time to themselves. Almost a whole day, in fact," he said. He smirked a bit when she said that he didn't have to parade her about and when she called him impatient, he blinked slightly. "Me? No. Just curious, that's all. I can wait. Really," he said with a smile.

Phoenix nodded when he agreed that they should go shopping and she smirked a bit over at him when he said he wouldn't complain if she bought ingredients for pie. She sat down at the table with him and sprinkled some salt over her eggs before starting to eat. It wasn't the best food she'd ever made, but it was nourishment and that was what counted.
