Image Name: Phoenix Rahaim

Age: 28

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Height: 5'8"

Weight: 155lbs

Sexuality: Pansexual

Job: Spy

Appearance: Phoenix is relatively tall and she has a somewhat muscular, athletic build. Her skin is very dark and she has elegant facial features. She has dark eyes and full lips. Phoenix generally always wears makeup, though not for others so much as it is for the fun of it. She wears her hair in a large, curly afro style and she takes excellent care of it. Phoenix generally likes to wear comfortable clothing when possible, opting for stretchy pants or leggings with long tank tops or t-shirts and, if it's cold, a sweater or jacket. She loves to dress up when she can, though, and she enjoys wearing bright colours and bold patterns. She usually wears either tall high heels, heeled boots, or ballerina-style flat shoes. Usually, Phoenix can be seen wearing some sort of jewelry.

Personality: Phoenix has two very different sides to her personality. When Phoenix is focusing on her work, she tends to be very quiet and serious. She's an excellent listener and very observant, though she can sometimes come across as cold and standoffish if she doesn't deem you relevant or important. Phoenix is quite perceptive and can usually tell when somebody is lying or withholding information. When she needs information she tends to find it by asking around, blackmailing, or snooping through somebody else's things as she's never really had the heart for torture. She is a decent fighter. When she isn't focused on her work, though she is highly guarded, she can be a lot of fun. She cares deeply about others when she's had time to build a relationship with them and she enjoys going out and doing things, no matter what the thing is. She's very open-minded and has a tendency to be something of a people-pleaser. She does, however, enjoy pushing others out of their comfort zones.

History/Bio: Phoenix was raised in the world of organized crime and was exposed to a lot of messy things from a young age. Her father took part in all sorts of messy business and her mother worked as a prostitute, in addition to helping her husband with his illicit work. As a little girl, Phoenix's father liked to use her to lure in victims - usually young women - who he'd then kidnap, usually to sell. Phoenix would be dressed in rags and told to attract the target's attention, to ask her as sweetly as possible for help, and then to lead her to an agreed-upon spot so that her father and his men could snatch the woman up. Phoenix grew accustomed to falling asleep to the sound of people pleading for freedom or screaming as they were tortured. She didn't enjoy helping her parents, but she wasn't aware that she had a choice in the matter.

When Phoenix was only sixteen years old, her father essentially traded her virginity as part of a business transaction, leaving her at the mercy of a pair of his friends and informing her that she wasn't permitted to fight against them or she'd be disowned. It was on that night that Phoenix decided she'd had enough of her parents and their shady dealings and she decided to take them down for once and for all. She started to gather all the information she could, taking notes of meeting spots, times and dates, names of individuals, code names, and all the information she could find. Once she'd gathered together as much as she could and had implicated as many of her father's friends and associates as possible, Phoenix took this information to the rulers of her Kingdom. Over the next few weeks, the guards performed several raids, capturing most of the people involved with Phoenix's family and freeing several of their victims, prisoners, and hostages.

The royal family deemed Phoenix a hero of their Kingdom and gave her as much as they could in return for her aid - they signed over her parents' home to her, gave her money and jewels, offered her servants, and assured her that if there was ever anything she needed, they would provide it for her. Phoenix had realized that she was actually quite good at undercover work, having kept her actions a secret from her parents and successfully collected all the information she needed. She'd also used stealth skills to break into rooms, drawers, cabinets, etc. that she wasn't permitted to enter, and she decided that she wanted to continue doing similar work. She started to take formal training through the royal family and became a spy for them.

One day, Phoenix was approached by Sophia Bradley and asked to undertake some highly sensitive work. Sophia revealed to her that her younger brother, Weston, who was supposedly dead, was actually alive and well and living a while away. Sophia had a pair of spies who kept tabs on him but one of them had just stepped down because she wanted to get married and start a family, so she needed somebody new to replace that spy. Phoenix agreed to do the work, despite the stipulation that the royal family was not permitted to find out that Weston was alive, and she cleaned out her home to rent it out - having Sophia collect the rent money on her behalf - while she was away.

For several years now, Phoenix has been following Weston. She always keeps herself at a distance from him, observing only and sending private couriers back to Sophia with the information she gathers. She has interacted directly with Weston only once - accidentally, when she was in line at a coffee shop getting a drink and he came in and got in line behind her - but has interacted indirectly with him on many occasions. She was responsible for persuading his publishers to take a chance on his novel - through blackmail, of course - and she keeps dangerous people away from him; for his good looks he has been targeted by more than one parties in the human trade business, and his secretive nature has drawn the attention of individuals looking to learn more about him.

Now, Weston has moved to the floating islands to be closer to his new publisher and has taken up residence with a young woman who owns a chocolate shop. Phoenix, naturally protective over Weston after having spent so many years observing and protecting, has taken it upon herself to go undercover on the floating islands to continue observing for Sophia - and to find out about the young woman with whom Weston is living, though that part may purely be selfish intrigue.

So begins...

Amira nodded a little bit. "If it was just Nixy I wouldnt have minded too much, shes another girl after all. But i'd rather we didnt say things like that around Lance, he's kind of like a weird older brother and its really awkward for me when things like that get mentioned while he's around." She said softly and moved to do the dishes.

Lance nodded. "We certainly did. Some things I could have done with out knowing. But Amira hiding was pretty damn funny." He said and munched a little bit. "Cant say I can understand either of those things. I havent been carried around since I was really little, and I have never put heels on either." He teased, shaking his head a little bit at all of that nonsense.

Weston nodded understandingly when she said that she'd rather he not say anything like that in front of Lance. "That makes sense. I know I wouldn't want you to say anything like that in front of any of my sisters - not that you'd get the chance, of course, but still," he said, shaking his head. "I promise it won't happen again....at least not in front of Lance," he said with a smile. "Kiss to make it better?" he asked, going and standing behind her at the sink, sliding his arms around her waist.

Phoenix giggled when Lance said that Amira hiding had been funny and she nodded. "It really was," she said with a shake of her head. "I think it's so damn cute how innocent and, you know, virgin-y she is. Damn. I haven't been like that since I was fucking sixteen, although that wasn't my fault," she said softly, sighing and shaking her head. The jealousy was rearing its ugly head a bit now that she was thinking about it. Amira was so lucky that she was still a virgin. It meant that now that she was grown and had found a man she loved and wanted to spend her life with, she could give that to him and it'd mean the world to him. Phoenix could never give something like that to Lance, not when she'd had it taken from her against her will.

Amira smirked. "Well I could say things like that around your niece if she comes to visit, but thats even worse, and I would die too if I did." SHe said and then huffed a little bit. When he came up behind her and asked to kiss to make it better she nodded a little bit and then turned enough to give him a quick kiss before turning and finishing up the dishes and drying her hands off and then stretching a little bit before looking at the time. "Well....what now?" She asked.

Lance nodded a little bit. "I doubt she thinks its very cute, she kind of seems like she despises it." He said and shrugged a little. He knew she had struggled things like that because his brother had often talked to him about it back when she and Aiden were dating each other. How she'd always stop him from doing anything but kissing, and look so disappointed by herself when she did.

Weston laughed when she suggested saying things like that in front of Rebecca and he shook his head. "No, goodness, no. That is even worse," he agreed. He kissed her back gently when she turned around to kiss him, and then he stepped back so she could focus on the dishes. When she questioned what to do next, he shrugged a bit. "I don't know. We could sit and relax for a while, maybe have a glass of wine. We could cuddle. We could have another dance. The possibilities are endless," he said with a smile.

Phoenix laughed a little and nodded. "She does," she said. "Maybe she should just get it over with. I mean, they're in love, and they obviously want to be together, so why wait?" she asked, shaking her head. She took a bite of her food and then awkwardly looked away, closing her eyes. "I hope she realizes how lucky she is that she'll be able to have him be her first when she's ready for it. That'll make it so special. I hope she knows there are girls out there who would kill to be in her situation."

Amira nodded a little bit. "Lets sit down and have a glass of wine or something." She said and got some glasses down and poured them both some wine, handing Weston his before going and sitting down on the couch with hers with Westons first book. She had finished and loved his second book, and that made her want to read the first one all over again.

Lance raised an eyebrow. "I think if she could just get it over with she would have by now. I mean, its clear she loves Weston, shes not waiting for marriage, and they apparently already do other things and sleep in the same bed. So I doubt that its that easy of a thing for her." He said and munched a little bit more.

Weston nodded in agreement when she suggested sitting down for a glass of wine. "Sounds perfect to me," he said. He took the glass she gave him with a soft thanks, going and sitting down on the couch beside her. He raised an eyebrow slightly when he saw her with his first book and he slid an arm behind her on the couch, taking a small sip of his wine. "Rereading my book?" he asked with a smile. "Trying to see whether the magic is still there now that you're involved with the author? Or trying to see if there are things in there that will make more sense now that you know more about the author? Because I'm fairly certain there are," he said with a chuckle.

Phoenix sighed softly, nodding. "I know, I know. I didn't mean it like that," she said quickly, sighing and then lifting a hand to adjust her cat ears. She was quiet for a moment, eating some more food before looking over at him. "Does it...does it ever bother you? That I've...you know...that I've slept with so many other guys before you...?" she asked rather tentatively, her face going a bit red.

Amira blinked and looked over at Weston. "No, I just like reading it. So I will read it again." She said softly. "Its still just as magical by the way." She said and winked at him before looking back down at the book. His last book had been so magical that it had landed him a damn stalker. She shook her head of thinking about that nonsense and then took a sip of her wine.

Lance ate while Nixy was quiet. He wasnt really sure what she had meant if that wasnt it. He looked back over at her when she asked if it bothered him that she had been with so many other guys before him. He shook his head. "No, it doesnt bother me at all. You're with me now, and I love you, and thats all I really care about. The fact that youve slept with other men doesnt bother me a bit." He said. "Does it bother you that ive slept with other women?"

Weston grinned when she said that it was still magical and he nodded. "Good. I'm glad to hear that," he said softly. He leaned over and planted a soft kiss on the top of her head before relaxing, closing his eyes and leaning his head back slightly - just enough that the crown wouldn't fall off. "Don't let me fall asleep," he murmured, his hand sliding down from behind her to rest on her shoulder instead.

Phoenix couldn't help but to smile a bit when he said that all he cared about was that she was with him now and that he loved her. When he asked if it bothered her that he'd slept with other women, she blinked slightly and then shook her head. "No, of course not," she replied. "I'm pretty sure my number is like...astronomically higher than yours. It'd be super hypocritical of me if that bothered me. I feel the same way. You're with me now, and I love you. That's all that matters," she said softly, glancing away again. She just wished she had more to offer him.

Amira watched him lean back and nodded. "I wont let you fall asleep." She said. She absentmindedly played with his hand while she read her book, maybe that would help keep him from knocking out on her. After a while trick or treaters came to the door and Amira excitedly shook Weston. "Theyre here!" She said and got up, made sure her Tiara was straight, and then ran over to the door and answered it, grinning at the kids who were there saying 'trick or treat' excitedly.

Lance nodded a little bit. "Well good then. It really doesnt matter to me that im not your first. I'm just happy that hopefully I will get to be your last." He said softly and leaned over and kissed her forehead softly. He finished up eating and then went ahead and cleaned his plate before peeking outside. "Well, looks like we ate at the right time, kids are already starting just down the street." He said.

Weston rather enjoyed the way she played with his hand while she read the book, playing back with hers every now and then. He blinked when she shook him, looking around for a moment before smiling at the realization that there were trick-or-treaters at the door. He straightened his crown and followed her to the door, smiling when she answered it. "Wow, look at those costumes!" he said to them before looking past them at the parents who were at the base of the stairs. He gave them a quick wave and then grabbed the bowl of candy so they could distribute it to the kids.

Phoenix giggled a bit when he said he hoped he'd be her last. "Just don't die first and that privilege is all yours," she said with a smirk. "I can't make any promises if you go and die on me, though. An elderly widow has her needs," she said with a giggle. She finished up her food as well, cleaning up her dish while Lance looked out the window. She blinked in surprise and rushed over, peeking out as well. "Aww! Look at them in their little costumes! I see a little princess, and a little ghost, and look at that teeny tiny pumpkin in the stroller!" she gushed excitedly.

Amira smiled when Weston came over and when he grabbed the bowl she smiled and gave each kid a baggie of candy and then watched them walk off while leaning against the door frame. "Theyre too cute in their costumes. I think im going to die before the night it over..." She sighed.

Lance shook his head. "Well, we Mercados are notorious for getting really old and refusing to die, so as long as no one kills me, I think it will be fine." He said with a chuckle. It was true, unless something killed them, they tended to live a very long time. Alcohol had claimed both Lances grandfather and father, poisoned their bodies due to the excessive amounts that they drank, which is why Lance had never touched even a drop of the stuff. He laughed a little at Phoenix's gushing. "They certainly are adorable." He said.

Weston held the bowl while Amira took the baggies of candy out to give to the children. When they were gone and they'd closed the door, he set the bowl down and stepped forward, sliding both arms around her wrist and resting his forehead against hers. "Well, princess, I promise you that one day, you'll get to have a handful of your own," he said softly. "Whether we adopt them or make them ourselves, you'll have some babies to dress up and take out trick-or-treating."

Phoenix giggled a bit when he said that his family had a habit of getting really old and not dying. "That's reassuring. Then you can be an ancient old widower and you get to be my last time. I suppose that living the years without me is a small price to pay for that privilege," she teased with a smirk. It wasn't long after that before a couple of little kids came up to the house, and when they knocked on the door, Phoenix hurried to open it. She grabbed the bag of candy when the kids said trick-or-treat and grinned, carefully putting some candy in each of their bags and ignoring the disapproving looks being sent her way by the mothers down by the street - or the slightly less disapproving look being sent her way by the one father waiting there with the mothers.

Amira smiled up at Weston and wrapped her arms around the back of his neck. "I would like that, very, very much." She said softly. She was really hoping she would be able to give Weston children of his own of course, she'd love to see what their children would come out looking like. "Ugh and we can take them out with Lance and Nixys babies too and oh im gonna just die. Theyre gonna have such cute freaking babies and im gonna want to steal them..." She said and puffed her cheeks out.

Lance laughed and shook his head. "Well, I suppose it would be but I would still be the saddest man. We'll have to make sure I have grand kids all over the place so that I can sit in my big comfy chair and tell them all about their grandma so I dont end up lonely." He said and then went to the door when kids came up too, He did see the disapproving mothers but paid them little mind, it wasnt like they were dressed much better, half of them hadnt bothered with a costume. He did however shoot the one father a look that made the man turn away and talk to one of the mothers there, though that was quickly replaced by a friendly smile as one kid commented on how tall Lance was before they walked back to their parents.

Weston smile down at her when she said she'd like that and he nodded. "Good," he said softly. When she talked about taking their kids out with Lance and Phoenix's kids, he chuckled a bit. "Maybe one day one of our kids will marry one of their kids," he said with a grin. "Maybe they'll have a little boy and we'll have a little girl and then one day she'll come home and tell us she's in love with their son and we get to have the talk with her all over again about how fast those Mercado boys move, just like we did with Phoenix," he said with a smile.

Phoenix giggled a bit when he said he'd be the saddest man and would need lots of grandbabies. "Well, then, I'll have to give you enough kids to make sure there will be lots of grandbabies running around," she said with a grin. She enjoyed handing out the candy to the kids and she noticed how quickly that dad stopped looking. Had Lance looked at him funny or something? Lance wasn't exactly an intimidating guy. She gave the kids a wave before closing the door behind them and setting down the candy bag, looking over at him. "I bet Amira's melting over the kids even as we speak," she said.

Amira couldnt help the giggle that came from her mouth when he said theyd have to have a talk with a future daughter about how fast those Mercado boys move. "We certainly would. Though if their sons are anything like their dad, I would doubt wed have to worry about our daughter being in good hands, especially if they were a little like Nixy too." She said.

Lance laughed a little at Nixys words. "Well, she wouldnt be Amira if she wasnt now would she?" He said and shook his head. "Knowing her shes already planning outings with all of our kids for halloween." He said with a chuckle. He stretched a little bit, and looked back out side for a second. He never would have had anything like this back at the Villa, certainly not kids running around and trick or treating, and putting out outfits would have been down right pointless.

Weston grinned when she spoke and he nodded his agreement. "That's for sure. And maybe it'll be the other way around and it'll be our little boy marrying their little girl. We just have to make sure we raise him right so he treats her right. Maybe he'll need a couple sisters to grow up with so he understands how to treat women. Just...just not twelve of them," he said with a smirk. There came another knock at the door and he smiled, opening it up. There was a rather small woman with dark hair standing there dressed in grey with round mouse ears and whiskers, and standing at her side was a toddler dressed like a duck.Weston recognized the woman because she ran the local jewelry shop; he'd already bought a ring from her, and he could see her peeking at Amira's finger to see whether or not it was there.

Weston grabbed the candy bowl and knelt down to give the boy his candy, able to see that the kid was pretty shy and almost hiding behind his mother. As he put the baggie in the little boy's basket, the dwarf girl leaned a little closer. "Are those rubies from the Austemoirian mountains? And real gold?" she asked, blinking. "If they're not...wow. I've never seen such a realistic piece for a costume. Where did you get this?" she asked as Weston stood up straight, looking down at her with a polite smile. "Have a good night," he said, closing the door promptly and setting down the bowl. He stared at the door for a second and then gave Amira a look.

Phoenix laughed softly and nodded. "That's true," she agreed. When he said that Amira had probably already planned outings for their kids, she grinned a bit. "Oh, wouldn't that just be the cutest?" she asked with a giggle. "I never really had good costumes for Halloween. My parents just, you know...didn't care enough. There was one year I cut holes in my bedsheet and wore it as a ghost costume. My mother was not happy about that," she said with a laugh.

Amira giggled. "Well, either way, if the way his father treats his mother isnt enough of a reminder of how you should treat a woman, a sister would definitely make sure that he knew how a woman should be treated." She said and then shook her head. "Oh lord no, please not twelve of them. I couldnt do that." She said and then answered the door with him. When he closed it after the woman recognized his crown she bursted out laughing. "Oh my lord. That was absolutely great." She said and then blinked. "I wonder what she was looking at my hand for though..." She mumbled.

Lance nodded a little bit. "It would be really cute." He said and then blinked. "Oh I didnt have halloween costumes at all. Holidays except for christmas, mothers day, and fathers day, were deemed unnecessary and were not to be celebrated." He said and shrugged a little bit. "Oh but dont worry, our kids can have all the holidays they want and stuff, Im not gonna stop any of that." He said .

Weston grinned a little and nodded. "That's true. Our son will have only the best example," he said softly, laughing a little when she said she didn't want twelve daughters. He sighed a little when she burst out in laughter at his interaction with the jeweler, blinking when Amira questioned the girl looking at her hand. "She recognized the jewels. And she's a dwarf, and dwarves usually do crafting type jobs. She must be a jeweler. She was probably just looking for a ring to gush over," he said with a shrug. "But we're not married, so no ring."

Phoenix blinked in surprise when Lance said that the only holidays they'd celebrated were Christmas and Mother's and Father's days. She folded her arms over her chest. "I sure hope you're not forgetting about birthdays, babe, because birthdays are the most important holidays of all," she said. There came a knock at the door and Phoenix grinned, quickly opening it to reveal a slightly older child, probably around ten, wearing a cat costume. The girl gasped. "Are you a cat too?" she asked, and Phoenix grinned, nodding. "I sure am!" she said as she gave the girl some candy.

Amira blinked and then eyed Weston suspiciously before shrugging and walking off to go take a sip of her wine that she hadnt managed to finish off just yet. She peeked out the window, no one was coming for the moment as far as she could see. "Ugh a break from dying over the little kids in their costume like some kind of crazy woman." She said and shook her head before taking another sip of her wine.

Lance was about to answer Phoenix but there was a knock on the door so he just stood politely beside her as she did. He looked down to see a little girl dressed like a cat too who got really excited about Nixy being a cat as well. Lance smiled softly at the way that Nixy was with the little girl. She would definitely make an excellent mother on day.

Weston was a little concerned by the suspicious look she gave him. It was a perfectly plausible explanation, was it not? It wasn't like they knew the woman. If Phoenix had come in looking for a ring, that might have been cause for concern, but he didn't plan on telling anyone before he proposed. He wasn't even sure when he'd do it. He just knew that he'd do it when the moment was right. "They're adorable," he agreed, going and grabbing his wine glass to take a sip.

Once the little girl in the cat costume left, Phoenix shut the door and turned back towards him with a smirk. "See? Kids don't care if your costume is slutty. They just see ears and whiskers and get excited that you're a kitty-cat like them," she said. "Now, where were we? Oh, right - does your family celebrate birthdays or not?" she asked with a smirk, heading to the fridge to pour herself a glass of water.
