Introduction
The Plane Crash:
The crash was pretty bad. The plane lost control and crashed into the island. The plane was basically split in half, and was on fire for a significant amount of time. The ones who died were in very serious condition, and the survivors are quite banged up.
The Situation:
There are fifteen high school age teenagers alone on an island. There is no sight of civilization anywhere. No adults that were on the plane made it. The supplies that were salvageable were few, but they are: five medium blankets, three large, long sleeved t-shirts made for an adult man, a total of five gallons of water (stored in numerous containers), thirty packages of peanuts, a bottle of sunblock, twenty somewhat-burnt magazines, a gun found in the cockpit (fifteen bullets total), a classic first-aid kit, and a newspaper. These supplies are very limited, and some don't seem to be useful at all, but they are the only things found. While fifteen survived, most have injuries of some sort. Tensions are high among the group, and death could happen at any moment for any of them.
The Island:
At any other time, this island would be considered beautiful. The water around it is nice and blue, the sand is a perfect white, and the temperature is pretty nice. The middle of the island is lush jungle full of vegetation. There aren't many serious predators, but there are definitely some animals to be discovered. The fish in the shallows are typically small, but get bigger the further out you go. The size isn't too big, just big enough to take you a bit more than a full day to walk to the other time. Temperature during the day is pretty hot, but there is a sea breeze to make it somewhat bearable. Temperature at night is significantly cooler, and the animal activity increases in the jungle during this time. Storms aren't uncommon, and can be pretty harsh at times.
The Survivors:
Just because it's a volunteer trip, that doesn't mean they're all goody-two-shoes. Some of them liked the idea of going to the tropics, some were forced by their parents, and some had nothing better to do. Most of them don't know each other. There is a diverse set of personalities throughout the entire group, but luckily each has a skill that helps with the surviving.

"I wonder what the chances are of finding a spring. That water is completely clean, no need to boil it first." He wasn't completely sure if this was true, but he assumed from spring water bottles that it was true to some extent.
(OOC: Sorry I've been having a bit of writer's block for Devon, hence the delay in posting for him)
When Leo started pretending to try to get on her shoulders, she fake shrieked, knowing it was a joke. "Leo you'll break me!" She then watched him throw some rocks at the coconuts. She tried herself, but none of her throws even came close to hitting. "Well, looks like I'm not very good at throwing." She shrugged, letting Leo continue.
Eventually, he hit down a couple. "Heard they're a bear to open up though." A smile went to her lips. She was glad that there was at least one thing that she knew how to do. "When my family went to Hawaii, they showed us how to open coconuts." She took one from him, figuring they could use some water right now.
She found a flat stone on the ground and placed the coconut on that. She found a medium sized rock on the ground, and then a sharper, longer rock. She placed the sharper end into the coconut, drilling it in as best as she could. Then, with the medium stone, she began to drive the smaller stone into the coconut.
"This part takes awhile, but it's pretty worth it once you get to it. Just a heads up, coconut water is a taste that takes a little bit to get used to." She began hitting it again. It took her around five minutes, but eventually she had gotten a hole in it. "This is the best way to drink from it, and that way we can save the meat for later." She took a swig of the water inside, flinching a bit at the unusual taste that she hadn't had in awhile. She then held the coconut out to Leo.
To purify water...ooh, I remember! She turned exitedly to Devon and Rhea. "I remember! To purify water you have to put the water you're using into a clean container. We can use the alcohol pads from the first aid kit to clean the container and I'm sure there are jars or something on the plane. The only problem is after we place it into the clean container, we have to leave it in direct sunlight for a few hours. It's the method that takes the longest, but I doubt we can find any iodine around here or something like that."
Leo watched as she soon got to work, gathering different sized rocks. He wanted to help her, but knew he'd be getting in the way. "This part takes awhile, but it's pretty worth it once you get to it. Just a heads up, coconut water is a taste that takes a little bit to get used to." "Sorta like brown bread." Leo missed home, and longed for another bean supper. He did catch himself looking at her body move as she pounded the coconut. They might of been lost on an island god knows where, but he was still a guy. "This is the best way to drink from it, and that way we can save the meat for later." Chloe took a sip, and he soon followed when she held it out to him. "Alright. Do we bring the others back?" He didn't know if she had any plans of what to do.
She grabbed two more, carrying three. There were four more on the ground. She figured it was only fair that Leo carry more since he was a guy. "Alright so you just get those and we can head back."
Devon listened to Emily describing how to purify water, but he kind of zoned out... completely. It sounded like a school lesson and that was his instinct. Plus, guys tend to zone out all the time. Once she finished, he nodded as if he heard everything she said. "That sounds like it would work."
They kept walking and he heard running water. They reached a nice looking stream. Rhea instantly ran into the water. "Soap anyone?" Devon laughed and shrugged. "Sorry, I don't think we'll find that anywhere." Devon pulled his shirt off and ran into the water. It was cool and refreshing, especially since he knew he didn't smell fantastic. He then looked over at Emily. "Come on in, the water's fine." He felt he had to say something completely cliche at that moment.
Once she jumped in, she squealed at the freezing temperature and playfully hit Devon on his shoulder. "Liar! It's freezing!" She laughed and shook her head behind her, letting her hair get submerged in the water and all of the dirt and grime soak off of her. Pulling her head back up she tucked a piece of wet hair behind her ear and smiled mischieviously as Devon and Rhea. Inching backward, she cupped both hands and pushed forward, sending a huge wave of freezing cold water splashing over them. She laughed hysterically and gripped her sides to contain herself as the water completely covered them.
"So, where we gonna take these?" She was the one who saw the coconuts, knew how to open them, and knew where to take them. He was letting her lead. Besides, it must of been nice for her, knowing at least someone on the island would listen to her.
"So, where we gonna take these?" She thought for a second while she began walking back towards the campsite. "Well, I think by the fire pit would make the most sense since that's where we eat and such. We could dig a hold in the ground for fruit or something." She was very proud of herself. She was never good at having ideas; she was used to everyone handling everything for her. She didn't want to become independent or anything, heavens no. It just added to her already inflated ego that she also could think for herself.
Devon watched as Emily jumped into the water. She squealed and scolded him for exaggerating the water temperature. "Hey, I just said fine, I never said perfect." He smiled at her, knowing he could have been a bit more honest. He watched her lean back and rinse out her hair. When she came up, she sort of looked like a mermaid with her long, flowing wet hair. He teased himself on the inside for thinking of such a comparison.
While thinking about how sexy she looked, he hadn't realized what she was planning. He suddenly was hit with a splash of freezing water, and noticed that it had gotten Rhea as well. "Yup it's....really cold" He heard from beside her. He looked over at Rhea, who was combing through her hair with her fingers. She mentioned wanting to cut it all off. "If I find any scissors, I'll let you know." The thought had crossed his mind that long hair wasn't the safest idea for survival, so he would definitely support anyone's decision to keep it short. Hell, he didn't want to be sporting hippee hair by the end of this.
Now to get payback. Devon looked over at Emily, smiling very slightly. "Thanks for the splash babe, it felt nice." He walked over to her, taking her in his arms. He leaned over to her ear. "That's why you're going under." He then proceded to lift her up into the air and throw her. He didn't throw her very far, he didn't want to hurt her, but he didn't do it like a pussy. He knew he wouldn't kill her, so what was the harm?
Glaring at Devon, she motioned to Rhea to start swimming towards him and hoped she would help. Emily went for the chest with the intention that Rhea would go for the legs and with the two girls help, they bowled him over so he went crashing under. Emily made sure to catch his head before it hit any rocks, and as a surprise, she gave him a big kiss on the lips under the water, giggling as she came back up for air and giving a high-5 to Rhea.
They headed back to the fire pit to bury the fruit. When he arrived, he started kicking a hole, away from Chloe of course. Last thing he needed was to launch dirt and sand at her.
(OOC: Sorry for length, trying to at least squeeze a post in before a ride.)
The two girls high fived. "Success!" Devon shook the water from his hair, sort of like a dog would. Now it was time to get somewhat serious. "Okay, so how are we going to get this water from here back to there?"
Chloe brought the coconuts back with Leo, smiling when he took a few from her. "Thanks." She said quietly, trying not to show too much gratitude. When they got back, Leo began kicking a hole. Once it was a good size, she placed the coconuts in it. "No need to bury them, but this will keep them from rolling away." She figured that could be there little food storage thing.
"Alright, now that that's done, what would you like to do next?"
{OOC: On vacation--posting might be a little scattered, sorry!}
Preventing them from rolling away made more sense than protecting them from something. "Smart one, you." She now left the decision making up to him again. "Alright, now that that's done, what would you like to do next?" Oh boy.. "Lot of things.." He wouldn't bring up doing something "naughty" because that wouldn't be good for anyone. At least he hadn't directly mentioned it. "Wanna go back and find something else?"
He looked at both of the girls. "Alright, so do we agree on that?" He wanted to make sure they came to a group decision, that way there wasn't much room for tension.
"Lot of things.." Chloe held back a giggle at that remark. Guys are always such pervs "Wanna go back and find something else?" She shrugged, looking at the dark clouds that were coming their way. "I think we have a little bit of time to kill. We could always go back in for a little and see if there's anything worth finding."
She started walking towards the wooded area again, assuming Leo would follow her.

"So, do we stay in the water for a little more or go and fetch those bottles?" She asked the group, content either way.
He turned to see Rhea drinking from the water. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. There might be parasites in it." He didn't care if she did it, but she might as well know the risks involved.
"So, do we stay in the water for a little more or go and fetch those bottles?" Looking up at the sky, he realized the storm moving closer. "As much as I'd love to stay here, we better get a move on if we want water before the storm hits." With that, he stepped out of the water, grabbing his shirt and throwing it on. "Let's head out. If we're quick enough, we can get in another swim before we have to go back again."
She heard Leo running up behind her, but continued walking. Then she heard him stumble, and then a thud on the ground. She turned to see that he had stumbled and hit the dirt. She couldn't help but laugh. "Hey, you pushed me," She rolled her eyes. "Whatever." She ignored him rambling on about coconuts and held out her hand for him to grab. "Need a hand?"

"Okay, let's get going." She said, walking into the woods. She caught up with Devon quickly and with only a brief amount of hesitation, she laced her fingers through his. She hoped he wouldn't recoil at the action, but she felt it was an emotional risk she had to take. "So, we get some water, and then I guess we have to take shelter from the storm, huh? There sure are a lot of them lately." She said as they continued walking. Frowing, she looked behind her while she waited for Devon's response. "Hey, Rhea! You coming?" She called, before turning back to Devon with adoring eyes.
"I wonder if we'll find any actual animals now! Tropical creatures are so adorable!" She was thinking more along the lines of baby monkeys and such, which she had seen many times on TV. While she was talking, she didn't realize where she was walking until she walked through something stringy as well as sticky. Backing up slightly, she realized that she had walked right through a fairly large spider web.
She took a moment to process this, before freaking out and frantically trying to pull the strings off. She was rubbing everywhere, since it seemed like it covered her entire body. Just when she thought she got it all off, she would feel another piece stuck to her. "Holy shit this is so fucking gross!!!" Finally, she stripped down to her underwear since she was unable to get it off of her clothes. "Ugh! I'll just wash those when we get back." She tried to compose herself, but she was still obviously shaken up.
"Come on... let's go..." She was still trying to get pieces of web out of her hair that didn't exist. "I hate spiders..."
"Okay, let's get going." Devon heard Emily catching up to him, and before long she was right next to him. Before he could make any move, he felt her fingers interlace with his. He was glad that she was thinking the same things as him. "So, we get some water, and then I guess we have to take shelter from the storm, huh? There sure are a lot of them lately." He definitely agreed that there were a lot of storms. "I suppose there are quite a lot, but I think that might be normal for an island. I don't really know, I don't like Geography or whatever that subject is."
Emily called to Rhea, who eventually made her way up, walking next to Emily. Devon noticed that Emily had torn away most of her shirt, leaving it just a crop top. Even though all that was revealed was a bandaged midsection, it was still attractive to him, being a male and everything. He then noticed he had been looking for a bit too long. "We should change those bandages tonight." he said as an excuse, looking away.
They came up to the beach area. He saw that there was a ditch near the fire pit, filled with coconuts. "Looks like Chloe and Leo were of some use today." He noted. Not that Leo didn't do anything, but Chloe didn't, so it was a surprise that he had gotten her to help at. "Probably mostly Leo though..." He then found some empty water bottles. There were three. "Look, a perfect amount for each of us. Hopefully Chloe and Leo will be back before the storm, that way we won't have to look for them."
